It's incredible how time flies. I still remember what an impact this anime had on me.

I'd be happy if someone still found joy in this precious little piece of memory.

I don't really know how to encapsulate how much I love JJ or the impact he's had on my life. I met my dearest friend through our mutual love for him and his damn tramp stamp. I wrote my first fic for JJBek. I met so many people and made so many memories because of JJ.

More than anything else, he taught me the importance of loving myself unapologetically.

YOI fandom as a whole defined the latter half of my twenties. I know people who took up figure skating and people who got into competitive pole dancing because of Yuri on Ice. I know people who went on pilgrimages to Karatsu, all for a show that only ever got one season.

I wasn't expecting JJ to appear in Ice Adolescence, but I had been looking forward to meeting a whole new cast of side characters to fall in love with. JJ, Otabek, Phichit, and Christophe are some of my all-time favorite characters, and I will miss them always. See y'all next level 😭

Viktor's not listening. There's no time for little worries or concerns. He's already up on his feet. One hand clings back to Yuuri's, while the other reaches down and... “Viktor?” Grabbing the nearest toy by his feet, Viktor twists around and shouts, “MAKKA, FETCH!” as he whips one of Makkachin's many squeaky toys across the room. It only takes a second before Makkachin's flying after it, ears high, nails clacking against the wooden floor in her rush to attack. Her toy squeaks its way to an early grave all while Viktor and Yuuri dash up the stairs. “Viktor,” Yuuri laughs, panting by the time they've reached Viktor's bedroom door, “that was mean.” “Don't care.” Viktor doesn't bother to look back. Not until the door's wide open, and they're rushing inside. Only then does he turn around to face Yuuri. “Now, come here.” Yuuri's mouth opens, but it's devoured by Viktor's, his gasp swallowed all the way down as his back hits the door with a hard enough knock to rattle the hinges. The sound just as quickly turns into a whine. Yuuri's hands scramble across Viktor's back, looking for the perfect place to find purchase. This is a little more like it.

⛸ Victor Nikiforov, ヴィクトル・ニキフォロフ by me~

Victor's casual practice outfit consists of a black T-shirt and grey track pants.

Victor is fond of wearing trench coats over his outfits when in cold places. He owns several in various colors, including beige, brown, and slate blue.

As a junior skater, Victor had long, waist-length hair, which he usually wore his hair in a ponytail when skating. His costumes often had both feminine and masculine elements to them.

Victor has the captivating kind of celebrity charisma and is naturally flirtatious. His well-known strength is his penchant for breathtaking new creations and surprising his audience. Though he pushes himself and is constantly trying to better his skills, he likes doing things at his own pace and in other areas is generally an easygoing, free-spirited young man who doesn't really take well to orders (Yakov yells in exasperation that he never does anything he's told).

Victor's also a bit of an airhead and, according to himself and Yuri Plisetsky, tends to forget a lot of things, as Yuuri Katsuki sees proof of after he forgets what the stakes of the Hot Springs on Ice event were.

He's very self-aware, knowing what he can and can't pull off and exactly what he has to do in order to play best to the audience. This adds to his charisma in that he knows precisely how to charm people with what he has. That said, he's also sensitive about his appearance, even his hairline.

Being a nigh-imperturbable man in perfect control of himself, even when losing his temper, Victor is well-adapted to navigating the positive side of the emotional spectrum. However, he's not very good at managing others' emotional distress, and while he can be serious if he needs to be, he's blunt to the point of being tactless. This makes him a bad person to cry in front of, as he's awkward at best and insensitive at worst.

Even though he mostly exhibits a childlike and almost flippant demeanor, his core does emerge every so often: a wildflower, beautifully soft but determinedly hardy. Though this side of him only gets a peek when he talks to close ones regarding more philosophical topics, it's very at home on the ice.
