How to romanticise Spring:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some ideas and things you can do to romanticise the Spring season 🫧˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒✧˚.🧚🏻‍♀️.
Spring Wardrobe - Spring is the perfect time to start integrating new pieces into your wardrobe. Long flowing dresses, maxi skirts, pretty blouses, milkmaid dresses/shirts, rompers, dungarees, mini skirts, cami’s and so much more. Make sure to add a pair of new Spring pumps (Mary janes are perfect) and some pretty floral hair bandanna’s and flower crowns in there too. Pastel pinks, yellows, blues, greens and white fit perfect for this time of year, along with patterns and materials like floral print and lace 🩰
Change your eating habits. Put away the comfort food from winter and indulge in the delicious delicacy’s of Spring. Fresh fruit and vegetables can make endless recipes for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, sweet things like Oatmeal, Honey, gelato and any particularly sweet fruits are perfect for this time of year 🍒🥗🍵
Consume Spring media 💐 The media you consume affects your mood, consuming uplifting Spring content will not only make you feel happier in yourself, but will also make you look forward to and romanticise the season more. I have a list of Movies, TV shows & books you can consume in Spring that I will be uploading shortly ☀️
Read Spring books. There are SO many out there, classics are perfect for this time of year but any whimsical, forest-core, fantasy story’s like “The Hobbit” or “The legend of King Arthur” are perfect too 📖
Listen to classical music, movie soundtracks and pretty instrumentals whenever you are doing any of the following activities (I find it helps romanticising a lot! 🎶🌷)
Have a picnic outside - Bring a wicker picnic basket, beautiful picnic blanket, fancy plates and cutlery and have a picnic fit for a countryside princess outside, either at the park or in a field. Wear a big sun hat to keep shaded from the sun and be sure to bring the essentials (Princess picnic food can include miniature sandwiches, scones, cookies, cakes & cupcakes, fruits like strawberries, cherries and apples, any snacks you can think of, lemonade and sweet iced tea) 🌷
Host a Tea Party (either indoors or outside) Set a table with all your finest dinnerware pieces, wear a floaty dress and white gloves, and use your most precious Teapot to pour fruity and sweet flavoured teas into any delicate teacups you can find. You can even make this Bridgerton inspired and have a high-tea esque party. With cookies and strawberry shortcake, cupcakes and miniature sandwiches. Make sure to set the table with a pretty tablecloth, fresh flowers and napkins/fine cutlery for yourself or your guests. Play some classical music and enjoy 🫖
Go berry/fruit picking. This time of year is perfect for Strawberry, Cherry’s & fruit picking in general. Wear a big straw hat, a long dress and don’t forget to bring your basket with you to collect the fruit in 🍓
Visit a flower field 🌸 💐 this time of year, flowers are in full bloom. Wear the most beautiful dress and a flower crown, so you are ready to twirl in the flower fields to your hearts content 🌷
Bake new Spring recipes. There are SO many Spring/Easter baking ideas on Pinterest. Have a look at any and compile a list of Bakes you want to try this Spring season 🍰
Cook new Spring recipes, you can even incorporate any new foods you have tried into the recipes and be sure to write them down in your recipe book 🥧
Make flower crowns! You can use fresh flowers or fake flowers, some wire or plain headbands. Get creative with them, use flowers, gems, lace, ribbon (this is a lovely activity to do with friends outside) 🌸
Press flowers (Such a Spring fairy activity!) any wild flowers you find (preferably dying or damaged) take them home and press them in a heavy book
Go on Forest Fairy walks. Explore your local forests, parks, meadows in the most vibrant green and pink dresses, wear flower crowns and just be one with nature, listen to fairytale music and take in the wildlife and nature around you 🧚‍♀️
Decorate your bedroom/space for Spring. This can be as simple as changing the bedding or by going all out and re-decorating your room completely. Fresh flowers, fake plants, cottage-core illustrations of animals look lovely too 🌷
Celebrate Easter like a Spring princess (really get into it this year) enjoy a beautiful Spring breakfast, paint eggs, eat chocolate, do some Easter bakes in the kitchen, make Easter Sunday a special day for you 🐣
Journal/Sketch/Paint - Painting outside is one of my favourite things to do, and you could even set up your easel/painting supplies in a garden or local field and paint the scenery 💐 Journalling all about your pretty Spring days can be uplifting and I find that sketching illustrations of Flowers, woodland animals and just Nature in general makes me feel so at ease any time I do so 🦢
Visit historical places like castles, botanical gardens and garden centres. These places are always abloom in Spring. Most of these places offer café’s and afternoon tea’s too! 🌸
Visit a cute Café for afternoon tea 🫖 (Make sure to wear a pretty outfit!)
Go frolicking in meadows. Roll down hills and twirl in flower fields 🌼
Feed birds and take time out to Spend time with nature and wildlife 🐰

I hope this helped and gave you some ideas, made you feel happy or comforted whilst reading and most importantly, inspired you to live life to the fullest and most beautiful it can be this Springtime 💐📖🎀 All my love ~ Kellen

“I like the way you speak”
Jade x Reader/Yuu, entirely gender neutral and vauge, only things mentioned are that Yuu has hands and can hold a teacup <3 I made this entirely to self serve myself but i hope y’all can find solace in soft gentle Jade bc it’s not talked about enough and i love the man :( enjoy!
::
“I wish I didn’t talk so much,” You admit casually during a conversation with the Vice Dormleader of Octavinelle. “Like damn, I’m surprised more people don’t tell me to shut the fuck up sometimes.”
It was an insecurity of yours. Your tendency to info dump and overshare made you rude misplaced in conversations. Dominating the room with your voice and over excitement in such a way you know can be annoying to others.
The clinking of a tea set was the only reaction you had gotten for jade, the lip of the spout so elegantly kissing the rim of the cup placed in front of you. You weren’t quite sure what it was. Jade said it was from some obscure plant he foraged from the mountains that you didn’t remember the name of. Though rather than poison the only thing you were worried about was how it would taste on your tongue.
“I don’t believe you need to ‘shut up’ as you phrased it,” Jade had a polite smile gracing his face, one slightly softer than his usual. He got like that whenever he came upon on opportunity to share his interests. You refrained from mentioning it though, afraid he would start to mask the gentle genuine bit of himself you got to view. “When you speak, you have the habit of enticing people into your interests. It’s quite the gift, if I must say. How I wish to allow Floyd and Azul to see the wonders of foraging fufu..”
“I think it’s cool…” You mutter, slightly embarrassed. A gift was hardly the way you would phrase your habit. You think about the soft hints of genuine love and curiosity Jade has for his mushrooms and plants. The way his eyes light up with joy when he gets to speak about them, not unlike the glint he has when scheming. You think Jade is perfect the way he is, and it’s a shame Floyd and Azul can’t appreciate the things he loves more.
Jade chuckles, hand on his chest, teapot now placed down gently onto the table, “My, I would hope so. Considering you seem all too eager to jump at the opportunity to try it.”
You can’t help but flush, diverting your eyes away, and lifting the cup of tea closer to your lips, avoiding a response. A wiff of the aroma makes your eyes widen at the surprisingly fruity scent of the drink. “Is this pineapple?”
Jade smirks, “How Observant.”
“Do they grow pineapples around here…?” You take a small sip, letting the tea warm and brighten the insides of your body. It tastes like pineapples, yet less acidic and more floral.
“It’s from a plant called pineapple weed or wild chamomile. As you can see, it gets it’s name from it’s scent but is closer related to the chamomile family than the pineapple.” Jade’s fingers gentle wrap around the handle of his own teacup, raising it to his lips and taking a small sip. He almost seems to glow in the moment, radiating satisfaction from a forage well worth the journey.
You think to yourself, *that* is the reason you keep coming back to try. Though everything he experiments with always ends up tasting lovely, it’s the way Jade glows that always has you coming back.
You take another sip of the tea to calm the steadily rising beat of your heart.
“I think the way you speak is fine the way it is,” Your voice murmurs into the cup, barely loud enough to be heard but by the way Jade’s body tenses in curiosity he definitely heard you. And before you can stop yourself, you continue, “It’s—the way I speak really isn’t anything special… but the way you talk when you’re talking about foraging or stuff you know is really cool. You don’t stumble over your words at all—and you always know just how to deliver the information clearly and confidently while still looking so…” Radiant “Passionate about it all. I think it’s really cool.”
You glance up at Jade to gauge his reaction, his eyes still frozen wide in surprise and if you look close enough perhaps there was the softest brush of pink on his cheeks. His eyes lock onto yours and for a moment you think you see hesitation in them—like he wants to look away.
But you pull away first, head hung down in embarrassment, “Sorry—I said too much again.”
“Ah,” As if coming to from a vivid daydream, Jade’s eyes blink back into the present. “No—it’s—quite alright. You merely caught me off guard. I appreciate your honesty.”
“‘m sorry…” You mutter again. Your arms fold on the table in front of you, impolite, but it makes you feel safer in your little personal bubble.
Yet Jade has the audacity reach over, brushing a gloved hand over your non-dominant one with a charming, gentle smile. And your heart stills. “You needn’t apologize. I’m sincerely rather flattered, forgive me for loosing composure in the moment.”
Your mouth gapes, like a floundering fish out of water. You don’t know what you look like right now, staring at Jade in a mix of uncertainty and embarrassment. They feel bigger than the colossal squid itself. Your throat feels painfully dry, despite just hydrating yourself, and your body locks into place, entirely vulnerable. You’re at a loss for words.
A smirk graces Jade’s face, the all-knowing bastard he is, and he says with that rare gentle tone of his, “You do not bother me when you speak like that. Frankly… hm… you’re rather radiant, if I may be so bold to say. You captivate me when you speak so genuinely and wholeheartedly. I admit it sometimes tempts me to abandon my duties far more often than I should…”
A heartbeat passes by and you can feel your face flush with overwhelming joy, pricking the backs of your eyes. Jade’s hand wraps around yours in a proper hold, his gentle smile never wavering.
“There is another dish I would like to try making that I foraged for the other day when I got the pineapple weeds. Perhaps if you are free, tomorrow I could share a plate with you?”
You smile at him, warmth settling in your heart, “I’d love that.”
“Then it’s a date.”
::
fun fact, pineapple weeds r an actual thing used to make tea! ive never tried myself, but in the spirit of jade (and bc foraging is fucking cool) i would very much like to someday <3

Day 4: Cursed Eyes
This is a series written for @madatobiweek.
Tobirama slowly inched away from Madara, trying desperately to seem inconspicuous. When Madara looked up from his cup, he froze immediately and pretended to not be searching for a way out. Because he didn’t have any better idea, he quickly took a sip of his tea. Only a split second after he had swallowed the piping hot tea, the thought shot through his head whether Madara had maybe laced the tea with something. It indeed tasted bitter enough. But he abandoned this theory again when he remembered that Madara had already had almost a full cup from the same teapot and he didn’t show any signs of the tea being anything else than tea at all. And even though he did not put any foul tricks past Madara, he was fairly sure that he wouldn’t go as far as to poison Tobirama and also himself in the process. For all it was worth, he couldn’t remember that they had ever tried to actually harm each other – even though he sometimes did have certain fantasies when Madara poured scorn on him once again.
It took Tobirama a moment to realize that Madara was still waiting for a reply. He thought about asking him what this was about but even though Madara pretended to be a amicable person right now, his gut told him that he wouldn’t just reveal what he was planning on this time. Tobirama gritted his teeth and nodded slightly. If this was the game Madara wanted to play, he’d play along until he had figured out what all of this was about.
„Fancy some gummy bears?“ Madara asked after the silence between them grew too suffocating, the weirdly kind smile still plastered on his face. Before Tobirama had the chance to reply, Madara had already grabbed the bowl with gummy bears and offered some to him.
And while everything in him protested against it, he forced himself to accept them. He grabbed a small handful of gummy bears and stared at them for a moment before shoving a red one into his mouth. He chewed a couple of times, uncomfortably aware of how Madara was watching him, and the fruity sweetness filled his mouth. “Thanks,” he muttered, forcing his body to relax as much as possible. If he wanted to seem believable, he’d have to put some effort into it.
Madara nodded satisfied and turned his attention back to the snacks which elicited a quiet sigh of relief from Tobirama. This gave him some time to think the whole situation through and weirdly enough, the gummy bears seemed to help him think straight. The fog in his brain slowly faded and he felt his thoughts finally organizing themselves a bit more. Now that he thought about everything that had happened, nothing of this behavior was like Madara at all. In fact, if it weren’t for the familiar face, he’d have thought he was sitting across from an entirely new person – one that he wasn’t eager to get to know either. But at least with Madara, he knew what kind of hassle he had to expect. This situation however left him completely in the dark and for the first time, he felt actually alarmed. Something about this made his gut tremble with unease and he didn’t like this feeling one bit.
“Are you feeling better now?” Madara asked and Tobirama barely managed to suppress his flinch when he heard Madara’s voice. “Tea and snacks do have a calming effect, don’t they?”
Tobirama nodded. Right now he was very thankful that he wasn’t known to be an overly cheerful person so that Madara wouldn’t find his reserved behavior unusual. “Indeed,” he squeezed out, trying to sound calm. “Tea does work wonders.”
For a moment he watched closely but Madara seemed to accept his lie and his smile widened. “You’re right. I’m glad I was able to help you calm down a bit. Would you like telling me why you asked me to meet here?”
Tobirama almost choked on a green gummy bear at Madara’s words. Suddenly, an eerie thought popped up in his head and before he could stop himself he casually asked, “Remember when we had our last picnic? Did you enjoy the salad I made?”
His heart started beating faster while he awaited Madara’s reply. Madara wrinkled his brow and seemed to think about it but then he slowly nodded. “It was delicious,” Madara agreed.
Tobirama’s heart sunk and his palms started feeling sweaty all at once. All of the previous incidents may have been part of Madara’s scheme but this most definitely wasn’t. Whatever he was up to – it would be a cold day in hell when Madara allowed Tobirama to catch him in such an obvious lie. The Madara he knew would never act this way and he would certainly never pay Tobirama a compliment. There had never been a picnic and all of their encounters had been characterized by their mutual contempt. But if the person in front of him didn’t know that even though they should have been fully aware … Tobirama’s stomach churned. The more he thought about it, the more unsettling it became. The fact that Madara was acting like he had lost his mind and didn’t have any remnants left of who he was only one day prior sent shivers down his spine.
“I’m really glad I can rely on you,” Tobirama said, trying to sound earnest but he couldn’t entirely suppress the tremble in his voice. He almost choked on his next words. “You’re a good friend.”
And when Madara smiled again, he finally realized what about it felt so uncanny to him. It wasn’t only the fact that Madara smiled at him altogether that unsettled him, he now realized. Instead, it was the fact that Madara’s smile didn’t reach his eyes at all. Tobirama’s body started feeling cold when he watched Madara, barely listening to his reply. His face moved, his lips curled but during all the time, his eyes remained entirely blank. The longer Tobirama watched him, the more he noticed that Madara’s eyes kept motionless, staring at him unblinkingly like two bottomless abysses. Madara’s gaze had always been full of disdain and even ghastliness at times but one thing had always been the same – his dark eyes had always been full of life, glistening like black diamonds, radiating whatever Madara felt in the moment. If Tobirama had to describe them he would have said they were the most expressive eyes he had ever seen. But now, in the glow of the flickering campfire, Madara’s eyes were cold pits that seemed to absorb the light between them. And more than anything, his blank stare reminded Tobirama of the broken, dead eyes of fallen comrades.
His hair stood on end and suddenly, a sense of dread surged through his body. Something wasn’t right, something about Madara was so deeply wrong that his instinct screamed at him to run away as fast as he could. He almost winced when Madara moved slightly, his blank eyes never leaving Tobirama. And out of nowhere he knew that he had to leave immediately.
Tobirama rashly got up and gave Madara a nervous smile. “Thanks for the picnic,” he blurted out, trying desperately not to raise any suspicion. “I really enjoyed it but I have to leave now. Got important things to do, you know?”
Madara also stood up and Tobirama fought off his urge to just whirl around and run. Instead, he kept his forced smile and waited almost paralyzed for Madara’s reply. “Of course,” Madara said kindly, his voice sounding so unfamiliar that it made Tobirama’s skin crawl even worse than before. “Let’s do this again another time.”
“Will do,” he replied hastily, keeping his eyes glued to Madara who was still smiling at him from below his cold, dead eyes. He slowly walked backwards until he was sure he had enough of a head start should Madara start coming for him. But while he moved, Madara stayed entirely still, his eyes staring blankly ahead, always focused on Tobirama’s face.
It took Tobirama everything he had to avert his gaze and head for the entrance gate with Madara in his back. He barely noticed that he held his breath, intently listening for anything that sounded even remotely like someone following him. When the sense of dread grew so strong that he fought for air, he quickly glanced over his shoulder. Madara was still standing by the fire and now that he was farther away, he could see that his whole body seemed weirdly stiff. It reminded him almost of a marionette, held in place by invisible strings. The last he saw before the trees blocked his view was the deeply uncanny smile below cold, dead eyes.
When Madara was finally out of sight, Tobirama started running as fast as he could. At first, he didn’t know where to go but after a while he noticed that his quick steps hammering onto the ground led him towards the one place where he might be able to find answers to the questions drilling into his mind. He was struggling for breath and his calves felt like they had been set ablaze when he reached Konoha’s archive after what had to be record speed. He was still panting when he opened the door a crack, only wide enough for him to slip into the building and close it behind him quickly.
The hallway leading to the archive encompassed him with darkness and for a moment, Tobirama felt like as if Madara would appear somewhere behind him at any second. He held his breath and listened for any treacherous sounds but everything remained silent. However, his whole body felt tense when he made his way through the hallway, led by his own memory of the archive’s layout. He made it to the big leaf door without bumping into any walls and when he had stepped into the big room filled with books, he finally dared to turn on one of the lights.
With a soft click, he flicked the light switch and warm light flooded the room, illuminating the endless rows of book shelves that lined the walls and formed a labyrinth inside the enormous room. The faint smell of the books engulfed him and after another suspicious glance over his shoulder, he finally relaxed a bit. The eerie feeling of being followed finally faded away and he shook his head softly, trying to make sense of his visceral reaction. He had faced a big variety of threats throughout his time as a shinobi but nothing had alarmed him more than the sight of Madara’s eyes staring at him, never blinking, never changing. He shuddered involuntarily and clenched his fists. Something was wrong with Madara and with every passing minute he was surer that it was way more profound than just a scheme or dirty trick to play mind games with him. When he had stared into Madara’s black eyes in the past, he had always seen the life and power glistening in them but while they sat at the camp fire, they almost hadn’t even seemed manlike anymore. It had almost felt like everything that made someone human had been stripped away from them – and whatever was going on, Tobirama sure as hell wasn’t about to just stand by and watch until something happened.
With this new resolve, he nodded to himself and walked over to the big leather-bound book that was as always lying on a pedestal close to the door. He read through the index, squinting as he tried to make out the narrow handwriting in the book. His gaze wandered over dozens of keywords and the associated numbers that indicated their position in the archive. When he had finally found what he was searching for, he stared at the number and repeated it a couple of times for himself until he had memorized it.
Tobirama closed the index carefully and orientated himself until he had figured out which way to go. He quickly headed for one of the more distant and closed off sections of the archive that was rarely used by any visitors. The book shelves looked older than the ones in the front part of the archive and there were also noticeably less books there. He found what he had been searching for in the farthest corner, sitting between half a dozen of worn looking books. Tobirama hesitated only one moment before he took a deep breath and grabbed the book. And when he sat down at one of the tables to read, the golden letters on the blood red binding shone in the dim light of the archive.
Demonology.

Squat Frog Coffee House was a cozy and inviting thing of wood and mud brick. It stood by the side of a seldom-tread path of Singer's Brook, beside a stream of the mountain pass. Its lanterns cut through the persistent caress of the mist, casting a nostalgic air to all who see it. Many a customer found themselves reminiscing over a cuppa. The moon, faint, was still visible in the dawn. Lute sat at the counter with a mug of hot coffee. The spiral savored every sip, eyes still reluctant to open. It was sweet and had a bit of fruitiness typical of Plateau-grown coffee cherries. How he managed to run a coffee shop so early in the morning was a miracle. He took his time with his little rituals, willing himself to wake by going thru the tasks for the day. This morning's cliff lions were already washed and set aside for brewing tea. Still stocked up on fairy ears and cindermint. Still a good supply of tea leaves, and fermented tea cakes. If he had some extra time he could contemplate what kind of coffee beans to trade for. Lute opened his eyes a crack at his partner-in-crime beside him, Squat Frog.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His grandfather's favorite teapot had accompanied him everywhere. How colorful their adventures were before landing here! It was only fair the shop bore its name. The little green frog's eyes seemed to be as equally sleepy as he was.
"Another day, another cup, my squat friend. Let's see who needs us today."
Thanks for reading! This is the first entry of a lore journal thread inspired by solo RPG journal games Occulteas and Last Tea Shop! Tea Tasting Week 3 - October 17, 2023
Tea of the Week: Fig Butter Black
Supplier: MeiLeaf
Brew Method: Connoisseur Tea Brewer
Temp and Time: 95C for 20sec +5sec
Amount: 3.5g
I intended to do tea tastings on the same day of the week every week, but this week I was too excited and got ahead of myself. This, unfortunately, was not rewarded.
This week's tea was made while multitasking rather than while being mindful, which is a shame, as I feel mindfulness enhances both my mood and the tea tasting experience. Perhaps that is part of why I was not a fan of this week's tea.
Fig Butter Black was, in my mind, supposed to be a smooth but sweet slightly fruity tea with a bold black tea taste. It was, however, very bland. The recommended amount of tea is only 3.5g, which I found odd. The tea was not rich in color or flavor to the point where I'd wondered if I had under-steeped it. It does have a black tea taste with a hint of something sweet, but that's about all I can say for it. If I had been served this tea at a coffee shop I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it because it was so very generic. This is not a good quality in an artisanal tea (would one call these artisanal?).
I drank a second brew and brewed a second batch on a different day to confirm. I do not like this tea.
Brews: 2
Taste: Generic black tea with slight sweetness.
Notes: If this was a cheaper tea that I was drinking every morning like some people drink coffee I wouldn't find it so offensive in its blandness, but that isn't why I drink tea so this is not for me.
Addendum: My experience with this tea may have been due to a fault in my brewing method. My teapot holds aprox 200ml of water and I have yet to measure how much water the tea brewer holds. The amount of tea I have been using up to this point has been based on MeiLeaf's guidelines which are based on 100ml of water, not 200ml. I had not found this to be an issue with the first two teas, however I used 5g for brewing those two teas while I only used 3.5g for Fig Butter Black. Therefore, the weakness of this tea may have been due to the poor ratio of tea to water. I may try this tea again with the recommended ratio at some point and, if I do, I will write a new review and link it here.

Genderfluid Reader & Supportive Riddle & Azul
🌹 Riddle Rosehearts
It was at a tea party, one that Riddle had invited only you too; as you two were close and he wanted your opinion on a few matters. Mostly, he just wanted to see how you were doing in your classes that Crowley has you enrolled in.
Since it was so early in you both knowing each other so close (both from his lonesome nature and school pressing you both), he only saw you in uniform or in passing glances. So when you come into the rose garden wearing clothes quite different from your usual, he is shocked. You seat yourself across from him and your nervous signs start to show, and you speak what you want him to hear.
Riddle was drinking earl grey with milk, and he's not sorry it goes cold as he listens to you intently. "Thank you for telling me, I may not understand much because of my upbringing: but Cater and Trey have been helping me… understand some things as well." The hint he may have something on his mind goes without much deliberation, as he holds up a golden teapot regally. "Earl Grey?"
🪙 Azul Ashengrotto
You don't have to collect any stamps to meet with Azul naturally, you are dear to him! You are seated at his tables as you await him to come from his office, he knows, and he rushes his signatures to see you!
By the time he got out, he was ready to escort you back into his office and he noticed your attire had changed between his and your last rendezvous. Had you changed styles, or perhaps… ? He didn't bat much of an eye as you took the middle couch and he sat on the one to your right, giving you space as you start to address what your message last night had been about.
"Myー" he slants himself and points his body to you in a show of comfort, his body language fluid. "ーfriend, I do admire your bravery and your courage. Most wouldn't tell a soul, especially not myself, this kind of information…" But you both knew he'd never use this against you, never. "I wholeheartedly believe in you, and if you need any tailoring done, I know Jade will take care of you~!"

zl birthday ask @sylvctica
... and so, somehow two years have passed by in the blink of an eye; of course, to gods, years are nothing—a mere drop in the basin of experience that they’ve had ... but the god was excited all the same for another December, and another birthday.
The problem was getting something as sentimental as ... err, well wedding rings, accidental as they were when Sylvie had first offered them to the Geo god, so they were left quietly ruminating for days, weeks ... and eventually finding small moments to work on their gift.
( Obviously, although Zhongli had come with them to Sumeru, both still had their own whims and schedules! Which worked out for them to sneakily work on said gift they were planning. )
It took some string pulling and secretly shuffling off to a more secluded part of their teapot to not ruin the surprise, but as the 31st rolled around, they were more than fully prepared. With them luckily getting to see the consultant from the early hours of the morning, they could snag a kiss and a quick, tender ‘happy birthday’ along a quiet whisper that their surprise would come later in the night.
The rest of the day? Relatively uneventful! Spent idly together, wandering through the city, deviating here and there pending on what came up, but when the sun began to lower beyond the horizon was when they truly could begin their little bundle of surprises. “Ok, ok, now I can give you what I want. Trust me, I’ve been waiting in anticipation.”
The corner of their eyes crinkled up a little, disappearing only to return with a semi-small package wrapped with a pretty orange bow ... that they ended up opening themselves to reveal the interior: a dark bottle with no label on it, a small container of semi-clear orange liquid, and two slips of paper.
“... of course, how could I forgo making another wine for you? Same as last time.” There is a flush of colour at the tips of their ears with that set of words, but the small wink that follows shows they’ve very aware of what may follow. Fingers plucked the little container out, watching the thick liquid slowly swish for a moment.
“Ahem ... I also made you a custom perfume, hopefully way better than what Ying’er often tries to push on you—not that her product is bad, but I’d very much like to think as a Dendro god that I know how to squeeze out scents! ... this one consists of sandalwood, vanilla, yuzu, and ginger ... should give a bit of a sweet and fruity scent that’s not too strong. Calming to the senses ... no spray since it’s an essential oil base, so you’d just have to rub it against your pulse points. And as for the last...”
Was the tickets. “... puppet theaters are quite popular still, which I’m glad to see; I haven’t seen one in so long that I thought it would be a nice show to wrap up the evening with before returning to ... hm, a hotel room. Just us two, settled near the top of the divine tree.” They placed the held objects back within the gift container, free hand moving to take his with a soft squeeze.
“... just for you, tonight. Sadly, we’ll have to wait for my birthday for any true new year celebration, but we may still see some fireworks from others tonight as well.”
Tumblr media
Before he could realize it, time had caught up with him—as today marks another end, but also the beginning of the new year. And while a year is hardly much to a god, a raindrop amidst a sea of water, each upcoming year always raises more opportunities and experiences. Though despite his apparent absence from the harbor, he does not find himself yearning for it, as Sumeru had quickly become another home for him–much like how Liyue is to Sylvie.
Who–speaking of–approached him without time to waste, bringing a delighted smile onto his face. Knowing how they are, they likely have something prepared. But even if they hadn’t, it would hardly matter to him as long as the other god remained by his side.
Breathing a soft ‘thank you’ against their lips, it is immediately followed with the curious raise of his brows at the mention of a surprise. With how unforgettable last year proved to be for numerous reasons–the ring on his hand evident of such–there is no telling what could be in store for him. Granted, he would likely forgo the curiosity in a short time anyway. Time spent now is just as precious as what awaits him.
“Then I shall look forward to the surprise. Though you should know that I look forward to spending any time with you regardless.”
Sure enough, they both carried on with their pleasant stroll around the city. While not too different from their usual outings, the two could still be found enjoying themselves—more so even with the added knowledge of the occasion.
But with daytime coming to a close, so does their brief trip; the dendro god practically beaming with anticipation to show what they have planned, almost like a giddy child. It was hard not to share the anticipation in return, as Zhongli eagerly studies the contents of the wrapped package.
Beginning with…Ah, yes. The osmanthus wine. A commemorative occasion always calls for it. Though it is clear that his thoughts are elsewhere in regards to the drink, his cheeks powered a rosy hue. “Well, you know how I am—I will gladly help myself to a glass…or more.” He clears his throat, possibly making his own implications before bringing his attention to the smaller vile.
The thoughtfulness of the perfume is apparent from how Sylvie spoke with such vigor; listing the scents one after another and demonstrating their knowledge in their handiwork. It was endearing to the consultant, and he found it as pleasant as the gift itself. “You do not have to worry about me ever doubting the quality of your crafts. And knowing it is made exclusively by you makes me favor it all the more.”
Taking the small bottle between his nimble fingers, he uncaps it with a pop, allowing the scent to waft over sweetly. “Mm, subtle but fragrant…even if you had not listed out the ingredients, I could gather what they are from the scent alone. You’ve truly outdone yourself. Truth be, I have been thinking of changing perfume, so this makes for quite the timely gift.” And it certainly isn’t the last of the surprises either, with a theater show to tie it all together..
“Oh?” Immediately piqued with interest, he has always had a deep appreciation for the arts, especially regarding that of the Grand Bazaar after hearing nothing but great things—Akademiya aside. And a hotel room, on the divine tree no less to top it all off, with a view stretching over the entire city…as expected, the other truly did go all out.
“...Sylvie, you…” Chuckles. “ —spoil me so much.” With intense fondness swelling up in his chest; a heart he had once seen as an unbreakable stone, he squeezes their hands in return, hazy eyes glossing over the ring as his thumb fiddles with it. He gets lost in doing so for a few seconds, briefly recalling last year as well as other fond memories made in the past couple of years they’ve spent together. Exhaling deeply in content, he looks back up with warmth in his eyes, a smile reaching from cheek-to-cheek.
Tumblr media
“...Thank you. Let us enjoy the evening the fullest, shall we? I am sure you must have been waiting for long enough if you had this much planned for us.”
The remainder of their evening stretches over a few hours. Finishing off with the theater showing that was nothing less than spectacular, they reach for the inn high above the ground and into the stars, leaving the glistening city behind them. As peaceful as the streets were in comparison to the bustling harbor, his shoulders slack in relief in knowing he will spend the rest of the night alone with Sylvie. He frankly couldn’t think of a better way to end off the day.
“...This is the first time I have viewed the city in such a way.” He says while awestruck, unable to pry his eyes away from the flickering lights below him. Not that he hasn’t had his share of appreciation for the region before, but he never had the time to fully see the city for its intricacies.
Following the other’s suggestion to stargaze, but not without sharing some cheers over some wine first, they lay with their backs to the bare roots of the divine tree—feeling as though they are specs compared to the vast sky above them. And for some time, they simply remained there; idly chattering and hands entwining, the man feeling their fingers dipping in between his knuckles, or slipping a little beneath his glove.
…Perhaps it is the intimacy speaking—or perhaps the wine. Maybe both. But after what had to be almost an hour, he found himself sitting upright to hover himself above them, face flushed and lips slightly parted… and just when did he get so close to their face? He almost didn't realize.
Tumblr media
“The stars… they are beautiful, but— Sylvie, I want your eyes to be on me instead. It is my birthday…so your attention should be on me, don’t you think?”
Is he acting a tad greedy and spoiled? Perhaps…
…But he figures it should be okay. With them, he can be a little selfish and indulge—and he knows that they will gladly indulge back.

Mewtwo and the Flower: Chapter 1 - Flower Tea
It is a warm and calm afternoon. Mewtwo is napping against the trunk of a tree, not eating as usual. Then a ray of sun pierces through the leaves landing right on Mewtwo’s face. Annoyed, the moody psychic cat wakes up; He stretches and goes to go inside to escape the sun.
Just as he is about to open the screen door, a familiar smell causes him to stop in his tracks. The smell lures Mewtwo into the forest a bit but not too far from the Ketchum house.
Tumblr media
In a small clearing, a patch of bushes sways in the light breeze. Scattered about the tops of the bushe are gold and crimson tulip-like flowers. Small clouds of pollen emanating from their center. Upon finding the flowers, Mewtwo wonders to himself, “So these are what made the scent that lured me here. But why do they seem so familiar?” As he’s about to leave, the thought crosses his mind that perhaps the flowers could be used to make interesting tea. Picking a few and wrapping them in his scarf, Mewtwo heads back to the Ketchum house.
In the kitchen, Mewtwo picks apart the flower into its petals and pollen bits. He then adds the flower piece into a teapot and begins to steep the new tea. Standing and watching, he waits for his tea to finish brewing. Only a few minutes later, the teapot whistles. Pouring himself a cup, he tastes the mysterious flower tea. The flower tea has a different flavor than what he normally drinks. It is mostly bitter but with a slightly fruity aftertaste. Proud of his work, Mewtwo thinks to himself, “Pretty good tea for a random flower. It does have a slightly sweet tone to it but at least it isn’t as overwhelming as the pure sugar that Newtwo drinks.”
Later, after Mewtwo had drunk a few cups, Newtwo notices the tea’s aroma and asks Mewtwo about it, “What did you make recently that smells sweet? Finally turning over to the dark side are we?”
Mewtwo, still proud of his tea, responds, “I made some tea and it is nowhere near as sweet compared to your liking.”
“I’ll be the judge of that. Besides, nothing a little sugar can’t fix,” says Newtwo.
Mewtwo sighs and clarifies, “This is actually the last cup. I can go out and find the flower again and make more sometime.”
Newtwo squints in disappointment.

White Peony tea
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This tea is tastier than childhood fillings, more fragrant than a bouquet of roses and more meaningful than Wikipedia. Very sunny tea. We adore its taste for its notes of herbs, fruits and honey. And also for the sweet aftertaste. As practice shows, “White Peony” charms all girls without exception. And you will be charmed, we promise.
White pearl from Fudin
Pai Mu Tan, or Bai Mudan  ( means “White Peony”), is the most popular white tea in China. He has an army of millions of fans all over the world. It is loved for its extremely pleasant aroma and delicate honey taste. However, it is not strongly expressed, but light, almost weightless.
Where Pai Mu Tan is born
“White peony” is grown in the southeastern part of Fujian province, in the village of Fuding. This is a famous tourist destination, one of the tea capitals of the Middle East. The birthplace of the oldest white teas.
Time seems to stand still in Fudyna. Tea villages are spread here on the slopes of the mountains, the achievements of civilization do not reach here. In addition, local Chinese farmers are not interested in the outside world. But they are interested in white tea. They do not want to hear about whites from other provinces, believing that this is a pathetic imitation of Fudin teas.
Making “White Peony”
Pai Mu Tan white tea is produced from leaves and buds completely covered with white hair. It practically does not undergo thermal and mechanical processing, so it retains a maximum of useful substances.
Collection. Tea is harvested early in the morning, when the dew has not yet fallen. Chinese women are responsible for this process. The day before, they do not eat garlic, onions, spices, and do not drink alcohol, so that the smell does not spoil the aroma of the leaves.
Processing. The collected raw materials are dried in the sun, periodically placed in the shade for drying, then dried in ovens. After processing, the leaves turn brown and become dark.
Secrets of cooking “Peony”
To brew tea, use an isipot with a button or a gaiwan.
Pour boiling water over the teapot (to warm it up).
Put dry “White Peony” tea in a teapot: 5–7 g per 120–150 ml.
Fill with water, the temperature of which is 75–85°С. This can be easily achieved without using a thermometer. Just open the lid of the boiling kettle and wait 5 minutes.
Brew tea in batches. The first brewing time is 10–15 seconds. Subsequent brews should be a maximum of 1 minute each.
Be sure to pour the first brew into the sink, as it is intended for washing the tea leaf and opening it.
The taste and aroma of “White Peony”
Aroma The smell is delicate, barely perceptible, with sweet honey and fruity notes. The magic of this tea lies in how harmoniously the aroma of the leaves and the smell of the buds combine.
When choosing Pai Mu Tan, pay attention to the ratio of buds and tea leaves. If there are many buds, they are fluffy and fluffy, then you have a real “White Peony” from Fudin.
Taste
When brewed, Pai Mu Tan gives a clear, almost colorless infusion. But this lack of color is deceptive. In the taste, you can catch dozens of shades and overtones: from honey and caramel sweetness to pine needles and birch sap. And then there is still a persistent pleasant aftertaste.
It is better to brew “White Peony” with quick pours, otherwise it will stagnate and become bitter. Poured – drained. And so several times. Over time, you will come to the optimal aging of the brew. For now, pour small portions into the teapot.
“White peony” is a young tea that is never boring. It is impossible to break away from him. But drink it thoughtfully and slowly.
Order this exceptional White Peony tea from Fuding, China on our website for a delightful and enriching tea experience!

My mom got me crazy tea stuff and I am so happy. The teapot is one of those old fancy cast iron japanese ones and it's fantastic. Beautiful pour, keeps it warm, perfect size for my infuser. The tea's a Darjeeling which might be the first tea I've ever had with Hibiscus that I didn't hate; very light pleasant fruity taste even though it was a black tea.
Merry Christmas to all, and a happy Axl Low Birthday to my fellow Sickle Siblings (happy birthday to Dizzy and Elphelt too -U-

It is known for its distinct flavor and aroma, as well as its many health benefits. Studies have shown that drinking black tea can help to reduce inflammation, improve digestive health, boost heart health, and even reduce the risk of some cancers. Anti-Inflammatory Properties Black tea is a great source of polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants that can help to reduce inflammation in the body. Inflammation is linked to many chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, so reducing inflammation can be beneficial for overall health. Additionally, black tea may be able to improve joint pain caused by arthritis or other conditions. Improves Digestive Health Black tea contains high levels of tannins which can help to improve digestion by reducing stomach acidity and improving gut bacteria. Tannins have also been shown to help protect against gastrointestinal infections and reduce symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Boosts Heart Health Studies have found that drinking black tea regularly can lower blood pressure and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, both of which are associated with better heart health. The antioxidants present in black tea also have been shown to reduce oxidative stress in the body which helps keep your arteries healthy and clear of plaque buildup. Reduces Risk of Cancer The antioxidants present in black tea may also be beneficial for reducing the risk of certain types of cancer such as breast cancer or colon cancer. Studies have found that drinking black tea regularly can decrease levels of certain hormones that are associated with an increased risk for these types of cancers. In conclusion, there are many benefits to drinking black tea on a regular basis including anti-inflammatory properties, improved digestive health, better heart health, and reduced risk of certain types of cancer. If you’re looking for an easy way to boost your overall health then consider adding black tea into your daily routine. Types of Black Tea Black tea is one of the most popular types of tea around the world. It has a bold and robust flavor, and is often served with milk or sugar. There are many different types of black tea, each with its own unique flavor and aroma. Here are some of the most popular kinds: Assam: This type of black tea is grown in India’s Assam region, and has a malty flavor. It’s often used in strong teas like masala chai or breakfast blends. Keemun: This Chinese black tea has a mild, fruity flavor with hints of honey and cocoa. It’s great for making iced teas or pairing with light snacks. Ceylon: This Sri Lankan tea has a bright, citrusy flavor and is often used for brewing pot-style teas. It can also be enjoyed straight or used to make flavored teas. Darjeeling: Grown in India’s Darjeeling region, this type of black tea has a light, floral flavor with hints of muscatel grapes and honey. It can be enjoyed straight or blended with other teas for a unique taste experience. Lapsang Souchong: This Chinese black tea has a smoky flavor that comes from drying it over burning pine wood fires.
It pairs well with savory dishes or smoked meats, and is great for adding unique depth to your favorite recipes. Adding Milk and Sugar to Black Tea Whether to add milk or sugar to black tea is a matter of personal preference. Some people enjoy the taste of the tea without any additions, while others believe that adding milk and sugar enhances the flavor. The decision of whether or not to add milk or sugar depends on the individual’s taste buds and what they find most enjoyable. When adding milk to black tea, it is important to remember that the strength of the tea will be reduced. This is because the milk will dilute some of the flavor, making it less strong. If you do choose to add milk, opt for skimmed or semi-skimmed varieties as these are lower in fat content than full-fat varieties. It is also important to note that by adding milk, you are changing the flavor profile so it may not be as “true” as it would be without any additions. Sugar should generally be added in moderation when preparing black tea, as too much will overpower its natural flavor. A teaspoon of sugar can help bring out subtle nuances in certain types of teas, but it should still be used sparingly so as not to overpower the taste. If you are looking for a natural sweetener alternative, honey is a good option as it has a mild flavor that won’t overpower the tea's taste. Ultimately, adding milk and sugar to black tea is up to personal preference. Some people prefer their teas straight up while others enjoy their teas with a little something extra added in for flavor. Experimenting with different combinations can help find out what works best for you and your taste buds. Different Flavors of Black Tea Black tea is one of the most popular types of tea that is widely consumed around the world. While it is often enjoyed on its own, there are also a variety of flavors available to make it even more enjoyable. Here are some of the most popular flavors of black tea: Earl Grey – A classic black tea blended with bergamot oil, this flavor has been around for centuries and is still a favorite today. It has a distinctive citrus flavor that pairs nicely with sweet or savory foods. It's light and refreshing, making it ideal for afternoon teatime or an evening dessert treat. Where to Buy Hibiscus the BestTea
Tumblr media
Hibiscus tea is popular worldwide because of its potential health benefits. While it's not intended as a treatment, it may have a positive effect on heart health, which is important for those who are at risk for cardiovascular disease. However, it is also important to be careful of its effects on blood sugar levels and blood pressure. People with diabetes should monitor their blood glucose and blood pressure. There is also some evidence that hibiscus can help with weight loss. It's important to consult a doctor before taking hibiscus.
Several studies have shown that hibiscus can reduce blood pressure. However, more research is needed to determine the relationship between hibiscus and heart health. The American Heart Association recommends drinking three cups of tea per day. Drinking hibiscus may also lower the amount of bad cholesterol and increase the amount of good cholesterol in your system. You should not take hibiscus if you are taking any other type of drug, or if you have a history of high blood pressure.
If you are looking to buy pure hibiscus tea, you will want to pay close attention to the quality of the infusion. In addition, you will also want to pay attention to the type of hibiscus you purchase. For the best results, buy a whole bud hibiscus. A full bud will be dried naturally in the sun, and it will have a deep red color.
You can brew hibiscus tea in a traditional way using hot water. But you can also use the cold brew method. This is the fastest and simplest way to make a great cup of hibiscus tea. Using the cold brew method allows you to avoid the tannic flavor of the flowers. Once the flowers are steeped, they're strained to remove the solids. When you're ready to drink, the result is a delicious cup of hibiscus that tastes tart but sweet. Be sure to check out this website at https://www.britannica.com/plant/tea-plant for more info about teas.
To prepare a delicious hibiscus tea, all you need is a clean teapot, some hibiscus flowers, and some liquid. Steep the hibiscus for a couple minutes and then add the liquid of your choice. You can also use a sweetener to enhance the flavor. Sugar or honey are great options. Alternatively, you can mix a little hibiscus with alcohol to create a delicious drink.
Hibiscus tea has a tart fruity flavor that pairs well with other fruits and flavors. It can be made with either whole or cut hibiscus flowers, or with other herbal ingredients. Unlike other tisanes, hibiscus does not contain caffeine, so it's a great option for people who aren't a fan of caffeine.
Some hibiscus teas can be purchased in a variety of forms, including powder, tea bags, and loose leaf. These can be purchased from online retailers or from local herbal stores. Typically, a natural whole bud hibiscus is the best choice for loose leaf hibiscus.
A high-quality, whole bud hibiscus is a must for a delicious cup of hibiscus tea. Choose from a wide variety of flavors that complement the hibiscus flavor, such as ginger, mint, clove, and cinnamon. Adding a sweetener, like cane sugar or honey, can boost the tea's flavor and make it more palatable. Be sure to order hibiscus tea online here!

Self preservation:
What is it to preserve oneself ?
It is certainly not like the
pickled vegetables or fruity jams
It is of far less use ,
Why Shall I lock my head in a jar all my life ?
So I shall never live and always be preserved .
How can one know what it is like to live,
Without being broken first?
Teapots that are chipped
Can be used with no care,
Teapots in the cupboard
Have never experienced the feeling
Of warm tea.
So I have decided,
Even if it be foolhardy
My fate shall not be the same as the ripe fruit on a spring morning
To be kept in a cupboard
And spread so thin on a piece of bread
It is an injustice.
I will bear the chips and cracks of life.
And being the fool I am
Never preserve myself again.
