Ok, so, I've never watched any of the qsmp streams, but I read your rambling about it and read your one shots abt it, and uh do you have any advice on how to get into watching the streams? Like where do I start? How to catch up on missed lore? Stuff like that

well there are a lot of different POVs you can choose to catch up on and which one(s) you choose will definitely affect your understanding of what's going on. if you want to just catch up on the primary major story beats overall (federation lore, main egg lore) this channel on youtube has made 3 videos so far summarizing the lore as it goes on. I haven't watched these videos myself so I can't say how accurate they are or if they leave anything important out, but I've heard positive things!

now if you wanna catch up on more individual lore/character dynamics and all that then you're facing a bit more of a challenge. I believe quackity has most of his qsmp vods uploaded on his vod channel so you can definitely check those out for his story stuff. if you wanna understand my fics better wilbur has the smallest number of qsmp vods out of the cc's at least somewhat tied into the storyline so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up on his stuff. his vod from day 1 of the qsmp has one of the funniest moments from any wilbur stream ever (yes I am referring to that moment he was talking to max) but I don't think you need to watch a ton from any of the day 1 POV's after the first hour or so.

while phil is the pov I watch the most for qsmp, he's definitely less involved in the plot. but unlike what I keep seeing some people on twt and tumblr say, he DOES participate in the rp and does care about the lore. he just doesn't go out of his way to get super involved in it and likes making 4th wall breaking jokes. but yeah if you're looking for more lore based stuff, phil might not be a great pov to watch as your primary.

now bad is the english speaking cc most involved in the heavy federation lore stuff, so his vods are definitely good to check out if you're looking for an english speaking cc to watch. jaiden's also definitely tied into it and has her own very interesting plotline going on atm involving the federation, but she doesn't stream as often so there are a few more gaps with her compared to bad who's been daily streaming for months now.

now for the cc's who don't primarily speak english, it's definitely a bit more of a challenge to watch those POVs if you don't speak the cc's language, but when many cc's are in a group they'll usually switch to english since that's the most common language on the server. also there's the translator that most of them have up on their screen, but it's not super accurate and a lot of the time cc's forget to switch it between languages so I don't rely on it much. for lore stuff, cellbit is a great choice because he's been heavily involved in investigating the federation and solving puzzles and all that since he first got on the server. from the french side, baghera jumped into lore stuff pretty quickly too so I highly recommend her pov as well

again I don't know how detailed/what the summary videos do and don't include but if you see clips from certain streams on that summary video that look interesting, I definitely recommend going to the vod itself and watching at least a bit of it. the group dynamic between all the players on the island is so delightful to watch. so many great friendships have formed bc of this server and it's so much fun to watch them grow in real time.

more than anything though when you're trying to catch up, go through the tumblr tag! follow people who liveblog a lot! follow the updates accounts on twitter! I actually don't catch many streams, but I'm usually pretty up to date on the big plot stuff happening on the server at all times just from what I see on my dash. read posts and check out the tags to absorb info via dash osmosis. that's how I caught up on dsmp when I first got into it back in january 2021 lol

After barely being able to sleep last night, I think this is where I'm going to call it for being in the MCYT/DSMP fandom. Everything that we've been through over the years is too much for me to handle. I've thought about the points in my life where I've been in so much distress that I'm unable to sleep well at night, and fandom just does not belong in those moments. I've been in fandom since I was 11, and never have I ever been so affected by terrible things happening as I have been with MCYT. There are still plenty of creators in the sphere who I love and will watch casually on my own time, and I will still continue to support women in the scene, now more than ever. I don't have a desire to pivot to blogging about Hermitcraft or others because 1. I need a cleaner break and 2. The greater MCYT fandom itself, not just the creators attached, have been a source of significant stress and mental anguish for me.

I'm keeping this blog and I still want to be here for all my lovely mutuals! I love all the friends I've made here dearly. The rest of tumblr is like the wild west lol. I'll be a multi-fandom andy from here on out and might still reblog some DSMP lore-related stuff, but I'm fully pulling away from the RPF sphere. I'll clean out my follows at some point but no matter what my moots are still posting y'all are stuck with me <3

For my writing, unless another fandom gives me as much brainrot as this one did, then I'm ready to pivot back into original works. I don't think I've ever talked about it here but earlier this year I reconnected with a close childhood friend, and the first text he sent to me was "so are you a published author yet?". Since then I haven't been able to shake the hope that gave me. Writing fanfiction has helped me improve so much and I love it dearly, but I am getting older and I think it's time to give my childhood dream a chance.

Not deleting any of my works or putting a hard 'discontinued' on anything unfinished! But I'm not going to worry about it so much anymore. If I feel like wrapping something up and things improve, I might go for it, but otherwise it's not how I'm going to prioritize my time and creative energy.

i can share a couple of minor hcs that wouldnt reveal too much of the story too early

the recolour clump gets along well with all of the original series teachers except for shrignold, they have similar relationship with him that the canon trio has with warren

they also know the time child and they're very good friends

i dont really consider wakey wakey canon, but if it were im picturing don joining a hippie group rather than punks (man i gotta draw that at some point) and i find the idea of the sweet, lovable robin becoming a dictator really funny

robin's favourite colour is yellow, don's is red and blue guy's is shamrock (a shade of green, hes an art nerd)

also don is into DSMP because that would be hilarious i think

and yes, i do have a plan to continue AU, but as of december i got pretty burned out from DHMIS and needed to take a few weeks break from it, im hoping i can post more about them by february, but thats when my midterm exams start so i cant promise anything. i am genuinely attached to the characters and hoping ill be able to share the story i made for them fully at some point. until then my asks about them (or anything in general) are always open, it brings me so much joy seeing that people are invested in them :)

hi so I don’t think it was ever explained what the other two lives were because all the ranboo lore got cut short, which is why it’s not on the wiki. But I believe the general consensus/theory is that they lost one life in the community house explosion and one in the explosion on top of pandora’s vault, although some people switch out one of those for HO16 since both getting killed by Sam and in HO16 were probably supposed to be cRanboo’s final lives? HO16 is kind of unclear though I believe. Sorry if I’m wrong about anything!!

hi! thank you so much, and i do remember that HO16 was supposed to be ranboos final life but, because of the events of the break out stream things got changed. but later wilbur wrote HO16 as the "original" timeline that was supposed to happen. so i always thought of it as a retconned for unplanned events (a common thing to happen for dsmp haha) . And i do like the idea of them both being separate lives, but because of the timeline it would have to be HO16 then Break out.

but i never knew people thought of the idea ranboo died from the community house explosion! i usually saw that for the pandora vault one so thats very interesting!

i need to catch up on ranboo lore more since i never did while it was happening, but now i am and im starting to love their character a lot ^__^

dream smp warning cause i know most of you guys don’t wanna see me talk about the dsmp in a sincere way. i am talking about the dream smp finale. a very long post.

so i just watched the las nevadas ending and the tommyinnit dream ending and i… actually quite liked them both. i must say for the tommyinnit dream ending i had heard bad and did not have high expectations for it.

i liked that ending, but obviously i would’ve been fine with tommy killing dream for the last time and ending it with them, of course, still having problems, but extremely less so without dream. however, the ending we got really embodies the being of the dreamsmp, so i guess there’s not much more i can ask for.

we know that with the dsmp, every character has a story, and every character has a perspective, and who’s right or wrong depends on what perspective you’re viewing. we didn’t get to see dream’s perspective except for at the very beginning when he started the server, which i’ll just be honest, i’ve never watched any earlier in the dsmp than when tommy joined. dream went against everyone in the dsmp at some point, and no one got to see his pov.

now, just so we’re on the same page here, i still despise him. i don’t care what he’s been through, he’s still probably my most hated villain. understanding him was one of those things i’d always wondered about, so i’m glad we finally got to find out. and looking back on it, it makes sense. he’s always wanted, and i quote, “a big happy family.” and of course, tommy did start all the conflict, and it escalated from there, but what dream did was in his heart. he had that in him.

if the breaking point for both of them was, let’s just say, when tommy and wilbur started the camar van, tommy was just having fun, while dream saw it was causing conflict and wanted to remove it immediately. that’s how dream is with everything. he tried to remove the discs, he tried to remove l'manberg, and he tried to remove tommy, all while still trying to keep it in tact, because he’s trying to remove all the problems while still keeping people who like the problems happy. just like disney trying to appeal to homophobes and gay people at the same time, it’s not gonna work. dream couldn’t just live with it, not having his perfect life. he couldn’t withstand the smallest inconvenience. and he was willing to destroy anyone or anything to get his perfect life, where everyone followed his rules and everyone was happy with it. NO cdream apologist is welcome here.

however, i agree that he and tommy very well could’ve been friends. not then and there, though, oh no. before “the incident” as they have so lovingly dubbed, tommy made it clear that there was not a second when they were on the same side. i think that holds true in their final moments too. they understood each other, but they weren’t on the same side. i think what would’ve happened if there was no scratch is that tommy and dream would truce. not on the same side, not buddies nor pals. they just would not be messing with each other anymore. i wouldn’t have liked that, though. i wanted dream to die because if he was still alive, he would just keep doing what he was doing.

dream did die, so i’m happy with that. i don’t mind that tommy died too. what better way to go than with your sworn enemy after you just got to understand each other? and when they arrive in post-scratch dsmp, which we still don’t know how happened or why tubbo’s there and not punz, they do have a clean slate. dream doesn’t feel the need to have everything under control, not yet at least. tommy is still as mischievous as ever. (which goes to show that while tommy instigated everything, he wasn’t the problem.)

but what i like most about post-scratch dsmp is how they made it feel like, well, like you just joined a new smp with a bunch of strangers. of course, that’s not how it happened originally, and you usually don’t START an smp with strangers, but this is a special circumstance. tommy doesn’t even know who tubbo is despite knowing tubbo before the dsmp. i doubt anyone knows who anyone is despite many of them being in contact before the dsmp. who even knows if they remember ANYTHING that happened before the dsmp. since what happened to them before the dsmp IS important to their lore, i’d imagine they don’t remember.

the ending brings back those days of meeting new people on minecraft. i like to think the short conversation they carried out was done in the minecraft chat. they just had to stylize it by speaking since that leaves a bigger impact on the audience and is more natural by dsmp standards. the conversation was casual, awkward, short, sweet, and very minecraft-y. the “wanna build a base” as the first course of action selling that this is, in fact, a minecraft survival multiplayer server and not some big elaborate roleplay. and even though it fits right into the conversation, the “wanna be friends?” really knocks you back, as it’s supposed to i’m sure. it’s not a weird thing to ask, people who are just now meeting. yet for us, the people who have watched these two go at each other for two years, it does really seem impossible. my brain thinks, “this is very, very wrong. they would never be friends. and tubbo is right there, and they are not speaking.”

i know this might sound stupid to those who didn’t sit through it in real time. like, “duh of course it’s unnatural they were enemies just a second ago.” but i mean i really can’t see tommy and dream being friends. yes, they very well could’ve been, but i can’t see them as such. i can’t see dream being good at all. it is so bent in my mind that dream is a terrible person. i don’t want to see him being friendly. i don’t want to see tommy near dream. point being: if dream and tommy do become friends in dsmp 2, i don’t think my brain will allow me to accept it. if i even watch it to begin with, cause i got a lot of stuff going on. i always manage to get drug back into minecraft though, so who knows, maybe i won’t be able to keep my hands off of it.

thanks for reading all of this if you did. honestly i’m hoping they don’t make dream all good guy goodie two shoes because he definitely is not a misunderstood villain; he is a bad person. and resetting everything to make it where dream is an angel now makes it seem like all that happened pre-scratch wasn’t his fault (it definitely was). it sort of weakens what tommy went through and makes it seem like it was all circumstance fault even though what happened was definitely decided by a person who had a choice to do the right thing or to not, and that person chose to do the wrong thing and hurt people. instead, they can show how with tommy as a friend, he can overcome those destructive controlling tendencies.

DNB + Inuyasha AU

The arrow that pierced him stays exactly where it landed, keeping him bound to the tree he had been resting on seconds ago. There are no words exchanged between him and the archer, and despite the anger and betrayal quickly stirring inside of him, Techno had kept his mouth shut even when he was left on his own.

Love has blinded him to trust the very being who had shot an arrow through his heart.

And as the world begins to darken and his breathing slows to a stop, Techno could only feel anger and bitterness festering until it devoured him whole. He will not forget this transgression, not it even in death.

Darkness. That was the first thing he noticed. It was dark and it was cold.

Then a sound pierces through the silence and darkness.

It was a voice.

It sounded distant, garbled and far away as if he was underwater. Techno strains his ears to listen. Something was pulling at his senses, a scent that came lingering along with the voice, and it felt too familiar.

His consciousness stirs after years of quiet slumber.

Techno opens his eyes to the warmth and brightness of the early morning after being entrapped in darkness for so long.

He blinks his eyes, adjusting them until he's able to see what was in front of him. He hears someone gasp and he turns to the direction of the sound until glowing red eyes met wide, startled emerald.

The resonance within his soul was instantaneous as soon as their eyes meet. The sunlight reflected beautifully off of the man's golden hair and Techno stills under his gaze.

"Hello, my love." Techno greats, fighting off the urge to rip the other man's throat. "What could have ever brought you back to me so willingly?"

"You've got the wrong guy, I've never seen you before in my life."

Techno laughs, shaking his head in amusement all the while.

"I am no fool." Techno says slowly, making sure to add emphasis on the last word. "Do not lie to me so shamelessly again." He adds, a warning and a threat.

"Look, I'm telling you right now I'm not whoever it is you think I am. I'm-"

"Dreamon." Techno cuts him off. He felt his heart hammering inside of his chest at the meer call of his name. "I don't very much enjoy repeating myself. So, either tell me why you've come back or I end you."

"I'm telling you my name isn't Dreamon." The man practically yells at him. There's anger and frustration reflecting in the green of his eyes and the pout on his lips was enough to stun Techno into silence.

In all the times that Techno had spent with Dreamon, Techno has learned that the archer was secretive especially with his thoughts and emotions, so seeing such an open look on the other man's face caught him completely off guard.

"It's Dream, okay?" The man says, patting his chest for emphasis as he enunciates every syllable of his name once again. "That's my name. Whoever that Dreamon guy is, he's not me."

Techno stares at him, then. He notes the similar shade of green in his eyes and the locks of golden hair, but now that he's really looking, he finally sees the difference. Where Dreamon's eyes are darker, the man in front of him - Dream - has a lighter shade, and his hair is a lot shorter compared to Dreamon's.

The scar of his lips and right cheek is also missing along with the beauty mark under his left eye, and yet the freckles on his face still remains. There are clear similarities between this man and the one Techno had called his lover, but now Techno is also able to see their differences.

"Why do you look so much like him?"

"I don't know."

"Then what do you know?"

"I'm not from here. This place doesn't exist from where I'm from."

that's all for now with this AU, though i do have a few ideas i wanted to include in the fic.. initially, this was supposed to be written in dream's pov much like the canon story of Inuyasha, but the prospect of getting to write in techno's pov was too strong.. anyway, lmk if this fic is interesting enough for a continuation bc i might write more 👀

ok for some background i am actually not a huge mitski listener… i’ve been trying to be!! i’ve listened to her first two albums in full but haven’t got around to the others yet so these are gonna be mostly popular songs, just bc they’re the ones i hear about through other people. but i pretty thoughtfully curate my character playlists SO if they’re on here they have a reason to be, i don’t just throw popular songs on for the hell of it. ok and these are gonna be in chronological story order

1. me and my husband: STARTING OFF BAD i know this one is overused as hell but i actually have it at the very beginning of the manberg chapter to represent cq’s relationship with schlatt when things already were Not Good but he was still starry-eyed and in love enough to pretend otherwise

2. liquid smooth: at the end of the manberg chapter (though it’s relevant for all of it), in my head around the time he gets with karlnap. representing the way he pins his self worth on his appearance and whether other people find him beautiful

3. abbey: this is the most recent addition so the placement might change but right now i have it just before he builds las nevadas…. to me it speaks to his need to make something of himself but with a more desperate edge than it would have earlier in the story. and the first verse… well you know me i love a good hunger metaphor

4. brand new city: LAS NEVADASSS although he didn’t build it with the intention of what it came to be, ln was always meant to represent his last stand. this is really where he starts breaking down in the playlist and like i said in the other ask you can apply this song equally well to ctubbo, but her gasp at the end will Always be cq to me

5. stay soft: i think i have the least to say about this one but it very much furthers his themes of beauty/insecurity/sexuality and also learning to chip away the soft parts of his heart as they will only ever weaken him

6. i don’t smoke: this is at an odd place in the playlist, timeline-wise it’s set in las nevadas but i think of it as the reflection chapter where he looks back on past relationships around the karlnapity breakup. but yeah this is cpumpkinduo no doubt. just don’t leave me alone wondering where you are i am stronger than you give me credit for

7. remember my name: man i don’t even have to say anything just watch this animatic

8. nobody: he’s very lonely and wants too much (which is really just to feel loved and like he belongs and is in control of his own life) and also nobody wants him. :( SAD! well there’s other ducks

9. love me more: this is in the last section of the playlist which is like… kinda when he becomes self-aware of his own humanity again and that he’s failed in what (and who) he wanted to build. it’s hard to give him a conclusion since he didn’t really have one in the dsmp? like yes he had a finale but imo it felt like his story wasn’t supposed to end there. but i did my best

oh lordy i have so many wip ideas...ummm one that i do plan to write in the future, just really slowly, is a fic with the temporary title of "life debt au" that is a dsmp canon divergent fic taking place before the prison break, where phil gets trapped in the prison searching for techno, and then is killed to leverage against techno/get dream to bring him back to life. after the prison break, phil is left lost when he realizes that dying and being revived has entirely cut his devoted connection with kristin, and struggles to repay debts when dream comes to collect ^_^ this idea keeps rotating in my brain and i reeeealy want to write it but i am ohhh just so slow with writing so it'll take me a bit.

good thing it's whumptober, because i have quite a few of those now! here's smth that's actually taken from an old au i have that i am (once again) too lazy to write the full thing of, so im just writing the climactic point of it loll. i guess the context you might need is that his kids have been kidnapped/missing for a long time

The world feels like it's moving in slow motion, like a dream. Phil's good arm tries to rub Wilbur's back, but his bound arms are in the way, and his hands are shaking too much to apply any pressure. "I'll be fine," he manages, meeting Kristin's gaze with silent gratefulness. "I'll be- it's okay. It's all okay, you're all— okay."

His words break a great dam in him, and then it's a frenzy to turn, get Wilbur's wrists untied. Kristin works fast to help Tommy, and the second they're free both his boy are wrapping their shaking arms around him, clinging to Phil so tightly it hurts. Kristin rocks back on her heels to watch them, and even though Phil so desperately wants to reach out and say something to her, he can't find the words.

Something in her gentle smile tells him she knows already, anyways.

He does, however, have plenty of words for his sons. "That was so stupid, both of you," he hisses, eyes squeezed shut like it'll be able to stop the tears from inevitably falling. "You could have gotten hurt, doing that, what the fuck were you thinking?"

Both of them ramble on, pleas of understanding that Phil can barely make out through their tears. He's sure his own words aren't that much more comprehensible, and all of it matters, and all of it can be said later.

Right now, the most important thing is this, that Phil's ears have finally stopped ringing, and he's finally able to say to his children, "I love you. Let's go home."

Now I understand why I prefer Mianite over dsmp cause dsmp is just too angst, I swear its too angst and its not gonna have a satisfying ending don't they? (I am fine with sad ending but I don't think the sad ending is gonna be that great tho) So it just ended up being annoying now like angst is only good on certain parts

the problem is, they had a chance to weave all the diverging story lines of season 3 together into one satisfying ending, but they for some reason didn't want to end it even tho interest was dying off. and atp so many people have been added that you're never gonna be able to get everyone together for a finale, but even that doesn't matter cause there's no interesting story to tell

anyway, here's how i would have ended it

- starting from a few days before doomsday, the people of l'manburg choose to destroy the city themselves and get to exhibit some agency rather than having it constantly taken away from them

- tubbo and tommy confront techno, phil, and dream on doomsday, tubbo and dream die in an explosion

- disc war finale happens shortly after, dream is imprisoned, tubbo is still dead but tommy knows dream can revive people

- egg lore is building up in the background during all of the stuff below (sorry idk much about the egg arc)

- quackity starts working on las nevadas and interrogating dream (it gets finished in a realistic time period)

- tommy starts visiting the prison as well to try and get dream to revive tubbo but he never encounters quackity so he has no idea what is going on

- dream has a meaningful redemption arc in prison and revives tubbo but something goes wrong so wilbur and schlatt get brought back too

- despite being a better person dream stays in prison because sam and quackity are working together

- techno hears about las nevadas and recruits the syndicate to keep an eye on it

- las nevadas opens and it's a hit, but at some point the "gambling lives" thing is brought into play and either schlatt or wilbur die as a result, which launches the whole server into chaos

- the syndicate breaks dream out of prison and goes to attack las nevadas, more chaos ensues, there are multiple sides to this conflict and many characters who have only loose connections but everyone ends up involved somehow

- the egg followers (who have been quiet up until now, the banquet didn't happen), suddenly show up and try to kill everyone who won't submit to the egg

- huge battle involving everyone happens, enemies have to put aside their differences to work together and defeat the egg. they kill the egg by breaking it open which opens up a rift to the end dimension and everyone gets sucked in

- no longer under the eggs control, everyone unites together to defeat the ender dragon so they can go home (there can be multiple or something to make more it more difficult idk)

- dream sacrifices himself to save tommy, the heroes defeat the dragons and win, there's a lot of emotional catharsis and resolution, everyone realizes the power of friendship or whatever

additional epilogue stuff i think would be fun

- dreams one and only stream on the smp is him doing a "several years later" sort of thing from the perspective of dreamxd

sirius, such a literal icon, i strive for his level of don't give a fuck. "what pasta"?!?! my god i love him. hes so gone on remus its sickening. when dumbles asked for his blood, sirius being possessive?!?! if i was remus i would have folded right then and there, literally sold, this man owns him

james high and being obsessed with regulus the angel?!!! im swooning, literal heart attack material. best scene so far.

i love regulus' character development, hes levelled up to be james' first man. goodbye sirius but tbh he has more than enough problems on his own. oh jegulus is so achingly sweet i will not shut up about it. this is the reward after reading through so much couples angst. they love each other so much IM CRYING, the way regulus looked after him after the rescue mission, in all the ways that James didn't after the first games, oh they're finally together and happy, i would die for them.

Anyways, announcements.

I'm working on a bunch of little writing prompts and I hope to actually be more active online, I want to make a community full of chill peeps who have similar interests as me and I want to actually make progress on my damn arg so I can finally show the people my work.

My ARG, Mindless Satire, is gonna be delayed for a while because of many factors but the main thing is I'm basically doing this solo and editing is still new af to me. it is in the works tho and I plan on making more art based around it. Hopefully you all will love it as much as I do, it's been in the works for years up until this point and it's gone through so many variations it's insane. I'm finally satisfied with the final idea of it so now it's just a matter of working and filming it.

Another thing is that I want to start writing more in general, I've been slacking in that department since school has been my main priority but summer is getting closer and now that I'm getting breaks I have more time to do things I love. I'll start posting prompts and stuff throughout the day to keep this little blog active and busy

Not to mention I have two main projects I have on the stove and a few on the back burner.

Currently cooking;

(1. ) The DSMP ; Rewritten - I don't think I've talked about this on here but I have always wanted to write my own iteration on the DSMP, I put it kinda on the back burner after school started coming down harder on deadlines and I was actually planning on scraping it all together. It wasn't until techno passed that I finalized the decision to work on it at a later date, up until this point I have been writing headcanons, notes, and potential character arcs for this series to fully flesh out aspects I feel should have been (like characters and their arcs, Eret was by far my favorite to write for omg the POTENTIAL)

On the topic of the DSMP, imma say this here and I'll write it out on the sites I'll upload the official pages, yes. I will be writing the c! Versions of the dream team. HOWEVER, I don't support them at all and their actions. I am not the biggest fan of them but because it's a rewrite of the DSMP it's important that there in it, by their design of course. But then again, I'm running and writing the show this time around so imma flesh their characters out how I'll see fit. You all are just gonna have to wait and see. Hopefully you guys will like my takes

(2. ) Limbo's Advocate - this one is brand new and was initially gonna just be a practice for me to get back into writing. But then the idea spiraled and while it's still gonna be an experiment to test my skill, it's became such a good idea that I just wanted to flesh it out as well.

Basically, the series is inspired by genloss (even tho it's not out yet but shhh-)

The premise is as follows;

Similar to the Magnus archives, The Association of Supernatural Security and Etherial Testing (also known as ASSET) has given a better position in the company to the intern, codename; RANBOO.

After the disappearence of the original catalyst, the job was given to Ranboo. As the new catalyst, it's Ranboo's job to document and properly organize evidence and witness testimonies and do all sorts of stuff for the company and it's many other branches of workers.

Things begin to get weird tho because all horror related things need to get weird to work and Ranboo begins to document entities in a journal because of his bad memory, this leads to a lot of realizations as he puts together a tragic and disturbing reality.

Yeah I know pretty vague but bare with me here I'm trying to be mysterious and rope you guys in. I already have a long list of characters which includes Crumb, Aimsely, Billzo, Sneegsnag, Shane and Ryan, and a shit ton of other creators. I already have a bunch of the case ideas noted down too so now I just have to find time to start writing.

And that's just about the current concepts that on the stove right now, a bunch of back burner projects will probably be announced at a later date? Most of them are original works I came up with when I was in 7th grade lol. I'll probably edit and switch around some things before shilling it out.

Fun fact, Mindless Satire was a concept I came up with as a prompt during 7th grade and only until the pandemic did I actually start taking it seriously.

This is an AU where all the DSMP members are idols in groupss/duos/trios. I was inspired by some fan arts and tik toks about the Dream Team or SBI being idols

Managing the DT is not really a challenge

They get along, they respect your times, they're professional when they need to be

The only problem is calming down Sapnap and George whenever they start bickering

They'll be half way through rehearsal and BOOM all hell breaks lose

Maybe a move went wrong, or they bumped into each other, or just...idk they felt like bickering

You thank the gods for Dream, he somehow always manages to calm them down

But sometimes he'll join in on the fun, and all of a suddem they're all 5 year olds.

Dream will start randomly singing about being an animal, George will break down in weird dance moves and Sapnap is just... Sapnap

They show you off. So much.

Once you were trending on twitter as #DTManager because the trio decided it was a great idea to drag you in the middle of a concert to sing with them

They're all pretty different so there's a lot to choose from for the fans

But because of this factor you have encountered some...idiots, yes, let's not call them fans

You are pretty close with the group, not only are you their manager but you're also their friend

So when the five first heard that you got attacked and hated on from some group of idiots because "you were to close to their husbands", they could not stand back and watch

They quickly came to your side, defending you and stating that if anybody ever acted that way towards you they will personally take action

And fans loved and supported you so much that at the meet and greet after the incident a lot of them asked for you to be in their picture too

okay, so... the new episode came out and i was sucked back into tss against my will. sorry to everyone who followed me for dsmp stuff 😅. buuuuuuuut- that means it’s time for another character analysis!

So I want to talk about Remus.

There’s been a lot of theorizing about Logan’s character development and the orange side (which i am super excited for!!) but i haven’t seen that many posts discussing Remus’s role in this last episode, which I think was a LOT more important than we all realized.

Here’s the thing: Remus is smarter than he looks. We haven’t gotten to see much of this before now- I mean, sure, he had like an entire 45 minutes devoted solely to him, but that was just the introduction. There’s clearly a lot more to Remus than he lets on, and we got a bit of that in WTIT. Now this episode was great for a lot of reasons, but especially because it started to answer a question i’ve had since DWIT-- what is Remus’s purpose? He’s intrusive thoughts, yes. But that isn’t why he exists. Every side has a certain job to fulfill, all of which help thomas in some way. For example, Virgil’s title is anxiety, but his purpose is to keep Thomas safe.

So what is Remus really trying to accomplish? If we just look at DWIT, it seems like all he’s trying to do is hurt thomas. But that can’t be right- it seems the only common factor between the sides is that they all want to help thomas as much as possible (though they have very different ideas of what ‘help‘ is). So how does Remus help thomas? Lets look at what he does.

Probably the most beneficial thing Remus has done is get Logan to snap at him. Why? Because Logan ‘I do not have emotions and everything will be fine if i simply ignore them’ Sanders needed that. And Remus knew this. He also— because it’s his job--knew exactly what buttons to push to get get to Logan’s breaking point. He knows that Logan is feeling ignored- which already makes him a lot more perceptive than any of the others seem to be.

Here’s the thing: A problem can’t be solved until it’s addressed.

So what’s Remus’s purpose? What has he done?

Remus is honesty. That’s not his title, no, but that’s his purpose. To get Thomas to be honest with himself. Remus takes all the nasty, slimy, twisted parts of everyone that they’ve all preferred to just shove under the rug and he brings them to the light. He pokes and prods and needles until they have no choice but to address their problems, and, consequently... fix them.

And here’s the thing! WTIT isn’t the first time Remus has done this. Remember when he first appeared? Remember all those little comments toward Virgil, pushing his buttons and dropping subtle hints that left everyone else confused?

Remus was the tipping point, the last straw that led to Virgil finally telling thomas about his past. And Remus knew this. Sure, it was awful, and there was definitely a better way get Virgil out of his shell—but it eventually led to what we saw in the first asides. Thomas let Virgil know that they were still friends, and it was okay. They were okay, despite a rocky history.

I‘m sure Virgil himself would’ve preferred never to tell thomas— but they couldn’t have truly moved on and worked through other problems if he hadn’t.

I‘m almost certain the same thing is going to happen with Logan being ignored, and whoever the orange side turns out to be.

Remus is working for Thomas’s benefit, even if it’s hard to see.

my brain is very full so hear me out-

dream smp casino/mafia au-

now i was at first thinking Kinoko kingdom (karlnapity) are the owners of the casino cause yk Las Nevadas Quackity but then i remembered “Syndicate” (by Derivakat) which has a jazzy vibe and was like, what if the Syndicate was a mafia ‘family’ that ran a casino and reader is their star performer who starts off every night with a performance of “Syndicate”. reader’s performance is used to kinda establish the Syndicate’s power over the casino and to remind the patrons anything they do will be under the scrutiny of a mafia with literally two of the most renowned mafiosos’ (Philza whose reputation of traveling all over and taking down many a mafia family precedes him and Technoblade who has taken down mafia families singlehandedly) in the city, maybe even the entire country.

the Eggpire is like a rival mafia that is trying to take control over the city so it isn’t uncommon for them to try and infiltrate the Syndicate casino. so i was thinking, what if the people who are Pro-Omlette (but not in the Syndicate so Puffy, Foolish (since it’s not confirmed he’s part of the Syndicate), Awesamdude and Eret) are staff at the casino. they were each like a lone agent after their mafia family split up/they left and decided to join forces with the Syndicate to make sure the Eggpire didn’t gain total control of the city. Maybe Sam is a bodyguard stationed either outside the casino or manning security cameras switching with Puffy, Eret can be like a stage manager/backstage to aid the performers and make sure no one sneaks into the dressing rooms or the light control area backstage and Foolish is like a bartender keeping an eye out on the main floor of the casino for any activity.

Dream was the former head of the well-renowned Dream Team mafia family until the family split. he’s notorious for breaking apart mafia families before disappearing into the night and traveling to a new city. occasionally he’ll hire some aid but they never last long.

Ponk used to be an on-sight medic for the casino in cause of bar fights or performers getting injured on stage but after many rumors (later confirmed to be true) of him being a member of the Eggpire he was fired and not allowed to enter the premise of the casino again.

Kinoko Kingdom was a rival casino/mafia family to the Syndicate’s but they’ve decided to have a truce to make sure Dream and/or the Eggppire don’t take over their city. Their casinos have different vibes with the Syndicate’s being more of a hub for mafia and business activity with jazzy music on the constant and famous for civilized and tame yet very entertaining entertainment whilst Kinoko’s casino is like more of a rowdy type casino, famous for high stake bets, drinks with high alcohol content and lively music and entertainment that can be seen as a bit too glitzy and tacky. Like you go to Syndicate casino for a night of business deals and building yourself up to the top, the type of casino you would bring your boss to, whilst the Kinoko casino is the type of casino you go to let loss and risk it all with cheap entertainment and even cheaper booze. their truce works out because their casinos are so different that competition wouldn’t be worth the cash (and the Syndicate knows they can easily take on the Kinoko mafia in a fight but shhhh)

there’s multiple places a reader character could fight but as a primarily Technoblade simp at heart i had to put reader as a performer in the Syndicate casino-

The Syndicate. One of the highest-end casinos in the country, and certainly the most powerful, being run by two of the best-known mafiosos.

Philza was best known for his travel, being able to track down anyone anywhere and take care of them.

Technoblade was easily the scariest man you could meet. He’d single-handedly taken down more mafia families at the age of 21 than most senior-aged mafiosos could even dream of.

It was rare to see either of the men in the casino, let alone to see them together, so when the pair came through the doors with power in their steps everyone knew something serious was in order.

They took their seats at the bar as Foolish prepared their drinks and Eret directed the casino's attention to the stage.

This performance was a nightly occurrence, the same jazzy tune came from the band's instruments as Y/N emerged from the curtain.

They preached about the Egg, whatever the hell that was supposed to be, and always wore a signature red color that made them easy to spot. Sometimes you could even swear there was a red glint in their eyes when talking about it.

After the incident with Ponk, their old medic that got caught up in the red whirlwind, the Syndicate became extra wary of the Eggpire, willing to do just about anything to take them down.

This is exactly why the two most powerful men were sitting together at the Syndicate’s bar with their eyes locked on the stage.

As the jazzy instrumentals faded out, Eret poked his head out of the curtain on the side of the stage, gesturing for the resident singer to come backstage.

Y/N smiled at the audience and walked through the velvet barrier to be greeted by the deep-voiced brunette.

“Did you see who’s out there tonight?” They asked him.

“That's why I called you, they wanna see you.”

Y/N took a deep breath and headed out onto the main floor.

They’d been part of the Syndicate for most of their life and knew they weren’t in any danger near Techno and Phil, but the anxiety still pounded in their head as they approached the men.

Y/N sat on the stool next to Technoblade and the two turned their stools to face them.

“Lovely performance!” Phil praised

They shot him a kind smile and braced themself for the inevitable harsh news that would follow the attempted small talk.

I saw your response and, fair enough. I respect your opinion but I personally am still very uncomfortable with the word choice and the environment of abuse apologism it could possibly create. I want to address the post you rebloged, because I assume they will see it here.

No I don’t believe bullying “isn’t as bad” trauma cannot and should not be compared. However, they themselves pointed out the problem with using it in such a serious circumstance in their post. They referred to it as a word used primarily in primary school situations. Now I ask you this, how many of these things can feasibly take place in a primary school setting, to the extent that they took place in the narrative? Here’s the list form before.

Food was withheld

Physical abuse

Gaslighting

Victim blaming

Manipulation

Isolation

Emotional abuse

A quick glance at this list may seem like most of them, but if you look at them within the context of the story, definitely not

For example, isolation. It can definitely take place in a school setting, and it can really damage someone. However, can another student ship someone out to a isolated island and discourage people from visiting…no not really. I personally would be more damaged from the latter, because it is more extreme.

Yes, I believe the stuff that happened in exile is objectively worse then what normally happens in school. Just like getting cancer is objectively worse than breaking your leg. Is someone’s pain less important or less justified either way? No, not at all. Both need medical attention, one is just objectively more extreme. If the things that happened in exile happened to a kid in school, I’d be concerned if it was just called bullying. I never said that bullying isn’t that bad, I’ve been bullied many a times, it can really mess you up. It can have the same results. But calling something bullying when it harsher word is needed just feels wrong

Applying this to a hypothetical situation, let’s say a school aged kid was attacked by a large group of kids, to the point of needing hospitalization. A statement is made that there was a incident of bullying on the school property. Does that sound right? Technically, the definition applies! Just like it does with exile. But it feels very misplaced and almost as a way to lighten how the news is perceived. Which is exactly my problem here.

And about my wording of using ‘gentler’ and ‘harsher’ I understand it is not conveying exactly what I am trying to say, which is why I put it in paraphases (idk how to spell that these things ‘’) in the original post. It’s just because I can’t think of a more fitting word to use. The word I am trying to convey is like hyperbole, but the opposite. Hyperbole being to use words or phrasing to make something sound worse or better than it is. I guess hyperbole may work there too, but whatever it does not matter now.

I am not trying to say that bullying is gentler, (that doesn’t even make much grammatical sense) just that the word bullying brings to mind things like stealing lunch money, mocking, or someone getting shoved around, which may lessen the impact and even convey something as less bad as it is. Because regardless of what the technical definition of bullying is, you cannot deny that it implies different things, which was ironically proven by the other post where someone brought up primary school, despite me never bringing it up. That’s the connotation of the word.

And yeah, there are times when I think stuff that happens in school shouldn’t be called bullying. There have been many times where I’ve seen some terrible inexcusable stuff called bullying just because it took place in school and I have thought a harsher word should be used. Like abuse, manipulation, assault, Etc. Because if someone did something really terrible it should be told like it is.

That’s the reason this even bothered me so much in the first place, like I said I don’t care about dsmp much anymore. But this is something that should be taken seriously, because fiction effects real life. Word usage has a big impact. Many things can be twisted to fit someone’s narrative because technically, the word used is correct.

he specifically said that sometimes people have the idea that bullying seemingly only happens to school children. the point of that was to say that such a statement isn't true. bullying ISNT restricted to schoolyard harassment. they specifically said that the way people view bullying as being "not as bad" IS THE PROBLEM, because bullying is a word for a specific type of abuse in a specific social circumstance that does not describe the severity of the specific actions involved. i think that might've just been a misunderstanding, but i wanted to make that clear.

beyond that, a lot of the specific actions of violence you've described ,, yes. they are considered bullying. there HAVE been people that have been killed by their bullies. people that have killed themselves because of their bullies. bullying occurs to adults by adults and also to kids by kids. bullying as a term is not restricted to a certain age group or actions of a certain severity. again, bullying is abuse. bullying involves actions that are BY DEFINITION abusive.

again, i understand your point anon. but, and im saying this as genuinely and kindly as i can, your feelings on how "severe" bullying is do not correlate directly with what bullying is by definition. words like child abuse and abuse and bullying are not a sliding scale of severity, but words that are meant to be applied to specific dynamics between people w/ specific traits.
