I got to admit I do really like alpha/omega verse.

When alphas come to a certain age, they are driven to find their true mate, they have some sort of connection (you chose how) that allows them to hunt down their mate. Obviously Merlin is his omega mate, but what if some one else figures that out before Arthur? Arthur hunts down his mate but someone keeps moving him. Ideally cannon but could be modern.

DCxDP fanfic idea: Timeline Prevention Squad

Clockwork is trying to catch up on paperwork because even the gods had to do tedious work. He is flipping through pages and pages of time concerning reports when he stumbles across a particular request stuck between three old Speed Force crimes reports.

A request from Mordecai Wayne asking the time accident for help to his original time. It was filed through a ritual of one of his lost temples.

Clockwork gapes at it, suddenly realizing he forgot to follow up and had left Mordecai Wayne - better known as Bruce Wayne - to fling around the timeline.

Clockwork, when he was young, had allowed humans to set up temples and given them direct runes to send their burned parchment to him for requests. Initially, he designed the request ritual to enable humans to help or prepare for future disasters.

Give them a little warning in the form of deviation.

Then, humans turned it into trying to control the future. Or to change what had happened by having altered the past. They started thinking he would move the times to fit their desired outcome.

Tried to offer people sacrifices when he ignored the requests. Clockwork can watch the timelines like an observer over a parade, but humans put on the parade at the end of the day.

It was their free will that gave him a show. And it was this free will that cost lives that shouldn't have ended because of other humans' greed.

He closed his temples, scrambled his runes, and let his temples rot.

Clockwork thought he got them all, but he obviously left behind some crumbs of his old worshipers.

Those crumbs were enough for Bruce Wayne to painfully piece together and redo his ritual to send him a request for aid in his time placement.

He hadn't even read it, having flung it into one of his filing cabinets to look over later and... didn't.

Clockwork snapped his fingers, pulling up Bruce's timeline. He winces when he sees it too late; it's past the point, but luckily, Tim Drake pulled him out and brought him home.

People don't know that Clockwork can't undo timelines- he just makes new ones that stream off his intervention.

The most recent time he stepped in was with Danny Fenton in a universe created due to Merlin asking Clockwork to save his lover Arthur, and thus, certain events did not come to pass- like the finding of Gotham.

He rescued Daniel's family by freezing them just as the explosion happened, allowing the young hero to think his dark future had never come to pass. That was not true.

There is still a world where Daniel's family died in the explosion, and it existed right allowed side the one that they didn't.

He could do the same and step in to prevent Bruce from ever getting hit with the Omega Beams, but that would create six different timelines, which would be a pain to file for. Daniel was only two, and he-

Wait. Daniel.

That's what he could do!

He couldn't make up the fact Bruce Wayne got lost in time and asked for aid. But he could send compensation in the form of one eager gooddoer who would help him in his ultimate goal.

Make Gotham safe.

And who better than a child with a strong sense of justice and the power of a minor God?

After all, Bruce's request wasn't to get back home. He thought he was going to die from the overlapping beams. Bruce thought there was no more hope for him.

Instead his request was

Please allow me to ensure my kids are okay and will be alright once I pass.

He picks up his sticky notes, scrambling a quick message to Danny. He pauses momentarily, wondering if he should admit his mistake, but that would.....ruin his reputation.

He chooses to lie by omission.

Dear Daniel,

Please come to my Keep. I have a mission that requires your assistance in an alternate timeline.

You must help keep Bruce Wayne and his kids safe. Whatever the costs are, as is his request for aid from a higher being.

Daniel couldn't resist a mission that sounded like he was a hero, and it didn't mention who the aid was requested.

To ensure Daniel will never learn he will....tell him that the Waynes could never see Phantom or......or he be trapped there forever!

Yes perfect.

A few seconds after sending the sticky note through a portal, Clockwork senses Daniel pick up the note.

And suddenly, he sees events flash before his eyes. Scenes of Daniel following Gotham's hero. Rescuing them from their worst rouges while Bats. Circling through the nights to stop the more minor pity crimes that they were too exhausted to handle.

Enrolling into Gotham Academy to ensure their civilian safety and status. Getting close to the younger Wayne and even obtaining an internship with Tim Drake to help him at WE.

Then, Daniel gets more substantial and robust due to all the deaths that drenched Gotham. It would be just like a Kryptonian on a planet of a Blue Sun.

It would make him more robust than a yellow sun, and Daniel would flush there!

Clockwork smiles as the visions end. He did a great thing making this suggestion. Phantom will be fantastic in Gotham!

Now, hopefully, that pesky free will won't ruin his plan-

A vision of Daniel being worshiped as a Phantom as different Gotham natives start to believe him, and an unlock god appears.

Clockwork winces, but he figures if no human ever sees Phantom unless he is there for righteous heroism, he can understand why they were confused.

Which isn't so bad-

A different version of Daniel possibly appears in the future. This one shows Daniel in a bright red suit at WE with Tim Drake hyperventilating not too far away. Apparently, he suspects Daniel of being Phantom, but his hormones are getting in the way of his logical thought.

This wasn't so bad as it wasn't a cult. It was just risking Daniel's secret identity. Then again, he could honeypot his way out-

A different future appears. One where Daniel accidentally convinces the Bat children that he's stalking their Father. They think Daniel fancies Bruce Wayne, despite the alarming age difference, and try to block him at every turn.

This is okay; there were different outcomes, but nothing bad.

And it's already been done. He can't change the past, not without making more timelines.

He sighs.

Hopefully, this will all work out. Somehow.

Copyright Smuggling: Doctor Who

I've talked in the past about how The Doctor not having a name or permanent appearance is very easily molded to be put into your own derivative fiction.

Even so, perhaps you want to incorporate more whovian elements into your story. While things like the Daleks are obviously off the table, there are characters and enemies that are public domain in the whoniverse that are ripe for the picking.

I'm linking pages to the public domain versions of these characters. But have listed here where they show up in the Doctor Who expanded universe.

Cernunnos - Leader of the Original Mammoths (proposed identity of "the Enemy" from the War in Heaven) appeared first in the Faction Paradox books The Book of the War.

Doctor Omega - 1906 novel about a scientist who builds a machine that can travel through time and space. He's similar enough to be able to be molded into the role of the Doctor.

Dorian Gray - Character from the Bernice Summerfield audio drama "Shades of Gray" that has similar abilities of eternal youth as the literary character we know. He eventually got his own Big Finish audio drama series The Confessions of Dorian Gray

Ganieda - Said to be Merlin's sister in the short story A Honeycomb of Souls.

Hastur the Unspeakable - Fenric according to the novel All-Consuming Fire

Merlin - From various accounts is suggested to be an incarnation of the doctor, including the aforementioned A Honeycomb of Souls

Nyarlathotep - Suggested to be the doctor in the novel The Death of Art

Sherlock Holmes - According to The Book of the Enemy during the War in Heaven although he was a real person in the whoniverse his life got erased and turned into fiction

Thomas Carnacki - Has met the second doctor as well as Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax according to The Screaming Ceiling audio and the Foreign Devils novel

Yog-Sothoth - The Great Intelligence according to the book Millennial Rites

In addition to this there's also the Land of Fiction which is a realm canon to the doctor who series filled with public domain characters

In a world where a-b-o is a thing, Prince Arthur is an Alpha. He’s been told all his life that one day he would marry an Omega, likely one of Royal blood.

There are fewer Betas in this world (the minority rather than the majority), and they are looked down on by the other genders. Betas cannot have any status and are always common no matter their birth. Betas are considered lesser, considered these sexless things. Yes, Betas have been known to have families with other Betas, but this is thought to be more of an anomaly (which they would realise isn’t true if they looked for even a moment). As a general rule they are assumed infertile, asexual. This is one of the reasons why Betas are used as personal servants to nobility.

Well Merlin, Arthur’s Beta manservant, is ready to challenge Arthur’s views, to show him just how passionate and sexual a Beta can be.

This is my fic for the @marauders-omegaverse-fest. Posting date: September 13.

Remus looks at him with narrowed eyes. “What were you doing out there, anyway? Don’t you know this is a rut hut?”

“It’s a–wait, what did you call it?” Sirius asks, a bit bewildered.

“A rut hut?” he says. “An alpha rut facility, but that’s a terrible name.”

“So you call it a rut hut?” Sirius laughs. “That’s ridiculous.”

Remus smiles. “Well, yes, but the whole concept is a bit ridiculous. That doesn’t explain why you were in there, though. Did you take a wrong turn and kept going past the containment barriers?”

Sirius grimaces. “My mother was trying to teach me a lesson, I think. Something about how I should be grateful for the privilege of my new alpha mate.”

“That sounds like the sort of drivel that comes from those ridiculous pureblood mating ceremonies–what are they called Vincini?” he says with disgust. Sirius doesn’t answer, and a heavy silence falls over the room. Remus turns to look at him. “What? Don’t tell me you’re a pureblood?”

“I was on my way to my own ridiculous Vinculum when my mother thought we should take a detour first.” Sirius shrugs sinking to sit on the edge of the bed. “She didn’t even have the decency to leave my wand when she apparated away without me.”

“Merlin’s saggy bollocks, that’s cold,” he says as he shakes his head. Then he freezes. “Wait, don’t those Vin–uh–”

“Vinculum,” Sirius corrects.

“Right, Vinculum. Doesn’t that thing happen at the omega’s first heat?”

“Yes,” Sirius says, then gestures down at himself. “My body is all ready to betray me with no party to go to.”

“Shit,” Remus moves toward the door, a bit panicked. “I didn’t realize. That’s definitely going to be a problem.”

“Oh.” Sirius is a bit surprised by the change, but he really can’t argue with the man who just saved his life. “I guess I can leave if it’s a problem.”

“Oh, no. I can’t let you leave.” Remus shakes his head and begins pacing. “You are definitely not safe out there. It’s lucky that they didn’t realize you were on your heat. They would have eaten you alive.” Remus stops pacing and looks at him. “Wait, why can’t I smell it on you?”

Sirius gestures down to his robe. “It’s made to keep the scent in through the ceremony. Traps it all under the bottom until my alpha releases it.”

“Merlin,” Remus says, and he’s pacing again. “Yeah, you can’t leave. I don’t mean to scare you, but I honestly don’t think you’d survive five minutes if you tried to run for it.”

“Is it alright that I stay here?” Sirius asks. It seems rude to ask. Is this Remus’s home? Or his room?

“I guess you’re going to have to.”

More Bad Batch Actor AU Shenanigans/Bloopers-Part 2?

Wrecker and Omega ran a prank of changing people’s ringtones and then calling the person: their favorite was Rampart in the middle of a senate scene with a girly pop song. He said “jokes on you I do like this song, I’m keeping this.” 😂

Fives called Echo in the middle of a scene at least a few times:

Fives: “Echo, for the cookout this weekend, I need you to pick up some things.”

Echo: “Fives *laughing* we’re in the middle of filming!”

Fives: “Oh sh*t! I forgot *laughing*, I don’t get to be a main character anymore so I don’t remember the schedule ya know-!”

Echo: “We have to start over now.”

Tech: “No, Echo it’s fine we can keep going, we’ll just change the story, we’re going to the market to get cookout supplies now. Someone call Cid!” *cue everyone else laughing*

(This one taken from Merlin filming) Rampart playing on a pink Nintendo DS while waiting for scene setup and “action”

There’s multiple of Tech’s goggles, and the entire Batch are wearing them one day, acting completely normal, trying to run a scene, until they can’t take it anymore to laugh, especially Tech.

They continued the extra Tech goggles joke by putting the goggles on random people: on the body in the casket, Rex, Rampart, Palpatine, Mokko, Cut, etc

Hunter accidentally inhaled dirt on more than one occasion doing his tracking thing

Hunter fell over a few times doing the landing from jumping off the destroyed probe droid in season 1 Ryloth episodes

Someone tipped over their pod in the water on accident and on purpose at least once during season 1 finale

Pilot episode Wrecker/Hunter started walking into the medbay too early and smacked into the door-ruining the take with Echo and Omega

The Batch were jumpscaring each other on the “Metamorphosis” set a lot: Tech got Wrecker bad by hiding and then touching him with the fake arm the Zillo beast eats, Omega scared Tech in the bridge by jumping out the closet instead of the med-droid, Crosshair snuck on set and hung from the ceiling grabbing Hunter’s helmet, Wrecker got Hunter by jumping out and hitting the windshield of the Marauder

Someone switched someone’s drink in a scene at Cid’s with pickle juice (or something else weird) instead of the fruit punch/soda/water they’d use. Needless to say they had to redo the take cause the person did react

Omega had her earbuds/headphones on and didn’t hear the directors so she was still dancing and singing when they were supposed to start a scene, making the others laugh and have to get her attention

Dancing in the brig while waiting for action

Cad Bane started dancing over Hunter after “shooting” him

Rampart and Tarkin dancing with the Kaminoans

Omega tripped while running to talk to Hunter in the hangar in the pilot just as he turned around, he made sure to check on her and had a small laugh between the two
