Genuinely crying at work rn. They have thousands of old photos (from the 50s to the 90s) they asked me to scan (so they can create a digital archive). Today I found a photo from a 80s protest with a banner that says "FOR THE PALESTINIAN CHILDREN". It's been 40 years. It has been a lot more than that, actually. And still.

I know it’s hard some days, and then other days are even harder but you deserve to live. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to realize your worth and you deserve to love yourself. But to get to any of that you have to stay alive and keep going. You got this 💕

My Photography Editing Process
Every photographer has their own editing process. It takes time to figure out your editing process, but once you figure it out, you’ll be a pro when it comes to editing your photos.
We’re going to give you an inside look at how we edit our photos. To be honest, editing photos is one of our favorite parts of the process. There is something about going through the photos, making the edits, and finalizing the end results that make us so happy.
The first thing we need to discuss is where you should edit your photos. There are a variety of programs out there that can help you achieve your editing goals. We personally prefer {and recommend!} Lightroom. Lightroom has been a favorite of ours since we first began to dabble in photography. That was long ago.. we actually had to buy the software in a CD format and install it on our computer. Now, we subscribe via Adobe. We are subscribed to the Photography Plan where we have access to Lightroom and Photoshop - which are both handy as a photographer!
Without further ado, here is the breakdown of our editing process:
We upload the images to Lightroom
We choose which images we want to edit
Image by image, we apply our editing style, remove spots, straighten/crop and all the little things you wouldn’t think of
Once we’re done editing, we export our images
From there, we take another look at our edited images, pick the best of the best, and send the gallery to our clients.
A big part of the editing process is inserting your editing style. This does take time to figure out as there are so many editing styles you can create for yourself. Trust us, we’ve gone through many editing styles thinking that was “the one.” Of course, over time your style will change. There’s no doubt about that. Our current style is light + airy with a hint of moody mixed in. We love those moody earthy tones, but also the light + airy, so we’ve created our own mixture that we hope is unique to us! Your style will draw clients in. Research the styles that draw you in and create your style!
Once you have created your style and use the edit within Lightroom, you can save that style as a preset. This is a lifesaver. Once we created our current style, we saved it as a preset and use it as a base for whenever we edit photos. Depending on lighting, location and other factors, you will have to adjust the settings of your preset to match your editing style. Presets save you time during the editing process - which we all know is a huge chunk of time.
