#my posts#gameblogging#i wanted to try it again since im so freaking bored and ive seen ppl talk about it on r/metroidvania#its kinda fun but the dialogue feels very juvenile#the backtracking is pretty frustrating since the teleport spots are very sparse so far#and i really hate a lot of the platforming#the hitboxes are weird the dash sends you in an arc#and your double jump is considered a dash so you cant double jump and then dash#i dont even try to do the optional platforming#and i still struggle with the required platforming#the parry is also annoying and i dont use it unless i have to#however i do like all the secrets of which there are a fuckton#and the potential for skips is insane#idk i guess ill try getting through the third area after which ill make up my mind on whether i wanna continue it#honestly one of the most 'meh' games ive played

The way I squealed when I read this ask. I was like that TikTok sound of “OH MY GOODNESSI LOVE THIS QUESTION! I THINK..!”
*Deep sigh* Anon, you're absolutely right; it's time we face the truth about Levi's sense of style – it's hideous. Have you witnessed those panels of him in the Uprising arc with a T-shirt on top of a long-sleeve shirt? I mean, seriously, it's like, "You're lucky I adore you, Levi…"
Now, let's establish some basics. We can't delve into the "girlfriend effect" without first acknowledging Levi's life as a man. I hate to break it to many of us, but Levi is, indeed, a man – raised by Kenny, no less. Levi values cleanliness and practicality. To sum up Levi's approach to broad topics: cheap, pragmatic, and straightforward. The only exceptions to this rule are tea and cleaning. Levi grew up in poverty, so he won't waste a single penny on face cream, even if you harass him. As an example, there's a "game" that was only available, I believe, in Japan, that had side stories, and Levi literally told Erwin he wasted too much money on "pointless" stuff like hair pomade…
Levi doesn't buy much furniture, treats for his body, clothes – anything, really. I'd even venture to say he might get some of his clothes from donations. He saves his money for tea… and tea sets.
And here's where the girlfriend comes into the picture. It starts subtly; she spends a night in his personal chambers and suggests bringing in new pillows, curtains, furniture, scented candles, and bathroom appliances for her stuff. Then the full transformation happens.

When people add Stolkholm Syndrome into the Yandere/Darling conversation, I feel like it's always the, "My free will has been beaten into submission and my mind has been broken" sort of coersion.
Like the yandere is big and scary and violent, and eventually just for the sake of survival, you begin to kowtow to their whims until eventually Survival Mode becomes normal, and you lose who you were before.
But as we know, not all Yanderes are big and scary and violent.
I like to imagine the confidant yanderes. The ones who manipulate you until you really believe of your "own will" that they made your life better by kidnapping you. "Isn't this so much better than working a 9 to 5?" "You hated your coworkers anyway." "You can have anything you want. Isn't that worth your freedom?" Until all a Darling remembers about their old life is suffering and turmoil, and they find genuine comfort in their Yandere's arms. Their savior, their knight in shining armor, their prince, etc.
Then I like to imagine the pitiful yanderes. The puppies and kitties who can't live without you. They may have kidnapped you successfully, but their lives are falling apart. They bring you tv dinners, because they don't know how to cook for themselves. Their home is a mess while your room is spotless cuz taking care of you is the only thing they have the energy for. And you grow to know them, you can't stop your heart from growing feelings from them. You want to guide them, to mother them, to protect them. Until eventually you wind up as a caretaker to the person who vowed to take care of you. But it was a choice of your own, and even if you could escape, how could you leave them like this?
And finally I like to think of the sympathetic yanderes. The ones whose lives on the outside may be perfect, but they're empty. The only thing that brings them joy is you. And in them you see a reflection of yourself as your darkest time. Who hasn't lost a friend or a loved one? Who hasn't wracked their brain thinking of ways it could've gone differently? Who hasn't had the idea of wanting someone all to themselves, so that they could never leave you or grow tired of you...? These yanderes pull on your heartstrings until you understand them, and you yearn for their certified brand of twisted, obsessive love. Because it will never leave you. A constant, unending love... Who in their right mind would cast that aside? Then again, at this point, coudl you really claim to be in your right mind?

yanderes who arent big. they arent physically intimidating. they dont work out, they cant lift a fucking car over their head, they dont have a death glare, nothing. they look so sweet, even their fake smile looks real. and really, these are the scariest because how the fuck could you live with yourself leaving someone who you know cant live without you? truly live without you! not just mentally but they would probably die if you left. they dont threaten it but you feel it. you know they wont survive without you. they rely on you emotionally, so much so that you go to bed bone deep exhausted every day.
and its not like a highschooler or groomer trying to get you to send nudes, no, theres no life threats, no death threats, no nothing. no threats of any kind... not verbally, at least. because thats too easy. you know how to spot that. its easy to detach yourself when theres a whiny, annoying, sad and pathetic voice whining about hurting themselves over the phone because you didnt wanna go into the bathroom for a quick nude (too niche?) but when you see it? see the way you talking to other people makes them feel worthless? see the way they pull away and detach themselves? see them crying more and more often? their romantic gestures slowly stop, they stop asking for kisses, theres barely any touching and you need them. you need them and you know youre using them too but at some point, you stop caring because it just feels so so good to be loved in such an unhealthy, obsessive way. it fills you to the brim, like tar, slow and thick and its warm. you know that if you leave now, you will never get this love again.

I would like to read your thoughts about pluralkit. For me I’ve noticed that there are some individuals that will say wild things and use plural kit to send the messages. I blocked one person in the server so far cause I just found them to be a bit much.
i got another ask wanting to know my thoughts on pluralkit, so ill indulge
buckle up bitches cause this is gonna be a LONG one
for starters, i hate pluralkit because you cant block the bot accounts it uses so if i want to block an annoying sys, i cant! definitely can see it as a way to circumvent blocks
second, it just further adds to the people who will use it to roleplay that they have alters
(i actually have a lot to say here and did research so please look at the read more if youre interested)
im gonna be honest, i do not think the people who use pluralkit have DID, and i absolutely dont believe a large majority of the people on toyhouse and in cs spaces who say they have DID. some of you might hate me for that opinion and thats fine, but truthfully, i think that way too many people use it as a way to roleplay.
im gonna try my best to be gentle with how i present my thoughts, but i know that there are some people (primarily young people who believe they have alters and refuse to change their minds— a well known symptom of being young) who will flame me for just daring to not believe them, and my thoughts on this go beyond just terraliens and cs spaces in general, terraliens is just a REALLY good example of this kind of community.
i think that society has tried to medicalize behaviors to a startling degree. when people said “normalize neurodivergence” we flew a bit past the mark and now the self-diagnosis crowd will see a person with an unusually strong passion for a hobby and say “they must have autism”
in this type of world, kids wont say “i love Blorbo from Show I Like, i wanna pretend to be them on the internet” and then disclose to people that, yes, its just a roleplay and im doing it for fun; instead its, “i feel a strong connection to Blorbo so i must have DID and theyre one of my alters. this isnt something im doing for fun, i have this medical condition and you cannot tell me otherwise”
the issue with DID kids is that they see that yes, things like fictives and animal alters are possible, but VERY unlikely within a disorder that is already highly unlikely, and they say, well i must fit inside of that 0.000001%, and then other people say the same thing and now we have multiple people saying they have DID within a server of only 3000 people. they will say “you dont know anything about DID,” but then will say they have 3 fictive alters from a piece of media that came out less than 5 years ago. they’ll say “well, diagnostic criteria includes self-assessment therefore that should be enough to decide that i have DID
in the time it’s taken me to write up this response, i actually went looking for research. Specifically i wanted to find something that predated 2020 because that was the time the “fake disorder” phenomenon really hit its peak and i didnt want potential false cases and misinformation that the current day DID crowd spreads to skew the data.
What i found was this medical journal published in May 2017 (so 3 years pre-2020, and less than 7 years old as of today. this document is less than 10 years old so dont even try to tell me its outdated), the authors of the journal are accredited to the psychology and psychiatry departments of the university school of medicine in Turkey, University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and University of Pretoria in South Africa. SO, suffice to say im gonna trust these people’s research more than a 15 year old on discord.
im gonna summarize a few points because, as a medical journal it is totally overblown with professional jargon and i consider myself to have good ability to convert flowery language to plain speak
The first segment i wanna highlight is in the introduction of the document, “
Yet, when all these systems come together to underpin and maintain a person’s identity, and dissociation occurs at this (identity/personality) level, it creates dissociative identities. Here, separate organized systems of functioning, with their own unique perspective on the world and who they are, appear to co-exist within the individual. Each of these identities has their own first-person perspective or experience of self-consciousness. Consequently, each of these identities reports their own subjective experiences and memories, their own sense of agency and will, and their own perspective on who they are. They often report being unaware of other identities or report amnesia for experiences that presumably occurred when other identities were engaging in executive actions.
The document states that the different “alters” present more as separate identities, where its different iterations of the same person who will have their own perspective of the world (each has their own “I” self). each iteration has its own memories and, the most important part, each iteration appears to be unaware of or have amnesia surrounding the other iterations. this one paragraph dismantles several of the talking points that DID kids use, it goes against the idea that people can co-front, it goes against the idea of having detailed in depth personas for each of your alters as so many of these people do. and we arent even past the INTRODUCTION
funnily enough, despite my effort to look for a document pre 2020 to mitigate false cases, this document actually mentions the DID faker crowd: “
The so-called sociocognitive model of DID (e.g., Lynn et al) went beyond recognizing the influence of sociocognitive factors on the development and phenomenology of DID. This model suggested that media reports, a high level of social knowledge about DID, influential and suggestive therapists, as well as patients’ own suggestibility, cognitive distortions and fantasy proneness all led patients to believe (wrongly) that they had dissociative identities. This view of DID markedly contrasts with the post-traumatic model of DID (outlined earlier), which proposes that dissociative identities are the primary results of early trauma and the relational, cognitive, emotional, and neurobiological consequences of it (along with other related factors as outlined in this paper) rather than primarily the result of social and cognitive forces. Moreover, the presence of sociocognitive forces does not provide any proof for iatrogenesis. Yet, sociocognitive and trauma models are not entirely contradictory, as the trauma model, e.g., argues that social and cultural factors influence the presentation, but not typically the creation, of dissociative identities. In fact, societal conditions themselves may also be the source of traumatic antecedents as observed in oppressive communities and traditions.
this post is getting crazy long, so im just gonna start wrapping it up here
i think that what ive stated here links with my previous ask about physical disabilities, disabilities and mental disorders arent really things to have a party over. they shouldnt be demonized of course, but we shouldnt be pretending like its some phenomenal thing to have a disorder thats based on severe complex trauma faced as a child. the part pluralkit plays in all of this is that it just further feeds the crowd and deludes these people into thinking their DID is real
im not going to believe any 15 year old furry when they publicly announce they have DID to a discord server of over 3,000, and that is a consequence of the sheer volume of people that fake having the disorder and continue to fake it with their stupid roleplay bots
obviously, i dont go out of my way to debate or mess with them, because at the end of the day its kids being stupid and cringe, but god the ramifications of these kids playing pretend with disorders is gonna be horrible. its already having really bad effects on autistic adults trying to operate in society as normal people and not be infantilized
i just hope this trend passes quickly and soon, and PLEASE let me block those stupid bot accounts i dont want to interact with any “system” that uses pluralkit

I would skim through this account sometimes to see whats been going on and if any improvements have been made. And it seems there have been some, but not enough. sorry that im a bit quiet but...rant
i am really disappointed and thought i had made friends and stuff and those people turn out to be horrible and idk what to do anymore. I will keep writing for hotd but i genuinely think that calling someone a animal, and a rat too, and creating hate accounts, sending shitty anons its all too much because how the fuck do you even sit there and think ''HMM IM GOING TO SENT A HATE ANON:)) Like maybe im fucking stupid but i cant wrap my mind around that and bully someone away too im just...idk. I dont wanna ask things of them anymore but i wanna know if they said shit about me and on one side i dont wanna know but im paranoid and this is exactly what i was afraid of when i joined this space. somehow, just as pride month is starting, it has managed to become hostile on this website. not in regards to pride, but in the circles of people on my dash.
and i will be attributing that to one dumbass famous asshole motherfucker, but i’m also gonna attribute that to people actually believing that the personalities we put out to other people on the internet are the whole truth, and believing you know what’s going on in everyone’s minds. and i will, also, attribute it to the fact that none of you can just be fucking normal without sending each other anon hate. i’ve seen hate being sent to people from both sides of a stupid fucking issue, and it’s really, dreadfully disappointing. it makes all of you look like idiots. and the vaguing’s just as annoying.
i’ve been on this website for literally? 14 years. with this same account. this exact same blog. my entire teenage and adult life is on here. i’ve grown as a person here. a Lot. and yet, now, probably because of some personal shit i’ve dealt with in the outside world as well, i’m finally thinking of taking a real fucking break. and that SUCKS. because i’ve always liked it here. but i think, for now, i need to stay off for a while. im gonna take my own advice.

Hey Marinette and Adrien salter here. feel free to ignore if you dont wanna read negative stuff >,<
Until now I thought both are equally bad characters bc they dont seem to care for each other but reading your posts I changed my mind on Marinette a bit.
They are a team so I always expected them both to be kind to each other but Marinette is sometimes very harsh to him. Since Cat Noir is also Adrien I saw her as superficial like how can you love and dislike the same person at the same time??? Dont get me wrong tho, I never liked how Cat Noir pursued Ladybug. I just thought "well Adrien is Cat Noir and if Marinette ACTUALLY knew his real self she would not like him. She only likes the character traits that she can see, she doesn't dig deeper.
Reading some of your posts i thought a little about their realtionship and I feel like Adrien shouldnt have a miraculous. I didnt watch SE 4 but when he put that ring down in kuroneko...dude...is a potential relationship with ladybug really the only reason you were a superhero? You cant just enjoy the time you spend together and be happy with that? What a slap in the face.
Marinette deserves a better partner. I hope she will eventually realize what kind of guy Adrien is...

Thank you for sending an ask and sharing your view on things. I used to be a LS shipper and then Season 2 & 3 hit and I realized that something wasn’t right. I realized just how targeted Marinette was by the writing and it upset me greatly. She apologizes more than anyone else in the show.
(If you go to miraculous content’s blog they have gone through the entire show and made a chart to show the ratio of how many times Marinette apologizes compared to the other characters and it’s HUGE)
To be fair though, I started having inklings in Season 1 as well. The writing is so targeted towards Marinette that most people fall for the writing and began hating her. It’s designed to make her look bad and make things her fault even if it doesn’t make sense.
Like Gamer in Season 1. It’s framed to make her look bad for taking Max’s spot but the thing is, it was never his spot. It was a competition and he was still competing. Marinette may have entered to play with Adrien but that’s not bad. She barely ever got to spend time with him because of his schedule but because it was for Adrien she was found to be wrong.
How? She entered fairly, played fairly, and won fairly. Even Max said so, even though he was bitter and a sore loser about it. And what about the people who lost the competition before Marinette entered, none of them got akumatized. And what if Max beat any friends of his who were also in the competition? You don’t see anyone get bitter, just him.
Thomas has already admitted that Marinette has to learn a lesson ever episode, so he’s basically saying that Marinette is wrong every episode. But the thing is, she isn’t. If this was a show for small children I’d say ok. But it’s not and Thomas knows it’s not. The show depicts Marinette trying her hardest trying to change herself but either she’s not believed or she’s dismissed and forced into interacting with Adrien.
And yet Thomas says Adrien is perfect and he knows that’s not true either but the writing tries and fails to show Adrien as morally right. Adrien’s social understanding is low, how can he be morally right in situations he’s never experienced.
It’s a double standard that’s designed to make Marinette look like the bad guy even though she didn’t do anything wrong. I implore you to rewatch the episodes, or read other people’s analysis for Marinette’s side of things to get a better perspective of things.
