remembering how tubbo and cellbit being siblings was a pretty popular headcanon before bagi joined, and then people headcanoned the three of them as siblings. but i think that what we've ended up with is tubbo and bagi as siblings, removed from cellbit. i don't usually like to assign found family traditional family roles, but in this case, i think it being specifically a sibling role is important.
because bagi's spent so long chasing after a brother who doesn't want her. so she's gone "fine, then. i'll find myself one who does." and tubbo certainly wants her around! he doesn't mind her stealing from him. he chose her for his team the first time around, despite the one-sided tension they'd originally had.
she went to purgatory for her coach. she said she'd stick her hand in the fire for him. and they didn't win, but they get to walk out together, so i think bagi won, honestly. there's also the mutual bickering and the stealing, but that's part of it too. and there's so much mutual respect there as well.
anyway. i love seeing them hang out and i hope they hang out even more going forward, not just for themselves but also for sunny and empanada <3 because they're siblings too and i love them and i wish they got to see more of each other!

Alastor Hartifelt was a fantastic husband.
No one could deny that.
Especially not his darling wife of one year and counting.
You, his sole companion during childhood, dawning from a rich family that occupied an estate near his family’s plot of farming land, and exceptionally infatuated with him early into your friendship.
From the very first time you met him out in the sprawling green meadows of Louisiana’s swamped countryside you found comfort in each other even amidst being ignored or teased by other children.
Their shared hatred and resentment towards you and the older boy cultivated an odd but strong bond between you two, and soon your strife to fit in seemed less appealing than being his truest friend.
Alastor immediately became protective of you, finding your shy nature welcoming like his own mothers, but also irritated by those who wished you harm for the simple fact that your family was better off than their own.
If anyone dared to pick a fight, tease, or berate you Alastor was right there to come to your aid. You’d tell him time and time again that fighting for you wasn’t worth it, that seeing him hurt wounded you more than their words, but for some baffling reason he’d never head your pleas.
Why?…
In retrospect Alastor wasn’t sure of the reason himself but he was certain it had something to do with the way you returned the favor by protecting him in your own subtle ways.
Your arms remained wide open when he needed an embrace, voice full of tender understanding when the two of you held quiet conversations late into the evening, and generally being his safe place when the rest of the world refused to be.
You were his darling from the very beginning…
His everything…
Yet, Alastor wouldn’t dare say it aloud..,
The two of you couldn’t be more different to those who observed your relationship from the outside. Alastor held an air of confidence wherever he went, suave, and well mannered. He could be cunning when provoked, dangerously charming to get his way, and refreshingly decisive under any amount of pressure.
A man every woman in New Orleans wanted, craved even, but it was well known the famous radio host had you at his side.
You, the city’s undisputed princess, daughter of a wealthy businessman, but regarded as the furthest thing from a ‘spoiled brat’. It was expected for those in higher circles to have sour and condescending attitudes but you proved to be different. Soft spoken, interested in the arts more than being out on the town, and some might’ve considered you ‘sheltered’ in terms of upbringing.
The contrast between Alastor and yourself brought about many whispered rumors and questions.
“How’d a sweet little thing like her end up with him?”
“Doesn’t he want someone better suited? Whats so special about her?”
“I hear, he married her for the fathers money. Don’t blame him for it either…she’s a real peach…”
“A little young for him don’t you think? She’s a lovely broad though…”
You’d heard it all. Every sort of rumor or piece of gossip people had to offer you’d picked up on rather quickly and at first it bothered you, but overtime seeing Alastor act indifferent to the scandalous comments made you less weary of them.
He’d never entertain the scrutiny, choosing to remind you his decision to marry wasn’t fueled by any ill will and as his wife you’d never need to worry about him caring for you.
Alastor’s always had, even when he’d left New Orleans to build his career he still thought of you from time to time, but that’s all he’d ever done.
Cared for you…
Love seemed to allude his spectrum of emotions and vocabulary. Yes, he shows you affection, buying expensive gifts, making sure you never lifted a finger for anything other than cleaning or cooking when needed, and proudly showing you off on his arm at parties and social events he attended.
Yes, he strived to hide his murderous tendencies, taking extra lengths to shield you from his ‘hunting’ escapades by planning them weeks before, and then going as far as discreetly cleaning his bloody clothes and weapons the night he returns while you slept soundly in your shared bed.
Alastor took great care in showing you he cared but defining his love for you was never addressed.
Not even on your wedding day.
It was as if he’d scripted his vows to say nothing of the emotion and even avoided saying “I love you” back when you’d accidentally let it slip out during your own speech for him.
You hadn’t pressed the issue at all, knowing Alastor struggled with concepts of intimacy and devotion since childhood, but the lmawing teeth of doubt pricked your skin harder with each passing day of your marriage.
Had you made a mistake agreeing to marry him?
Was he seeing someone else?
Someone knowledgeable of the world, maybe more experienced in life than you were, or more attentive?
Was she prettier?
Were you not his kind of woman?
Where did he go so late at night, at random times of the month, with a leather bag in his hand and a wide smile on his face?…
Had Alastor been seeing another woman for a whole year and you were just too oblivious or infatuated to notice?
Did he even like you anymore? Could he ever love you…?
Were you not enough for him?
Thoughts plagued your mind constantly, causing you to be quieter than usual, and less receptive to Alsstors lingering presence.
Your back was to him, giving a good veiw of your small frame as you cooked in the large kitchen. The familiar sight brought a smile to Alastor’s face. You were so focused, hair tied back by a white silk bow, and a sheer floor length robe to match.
He’d bough both for you only a week prior, claiming he couldn’t just let the items sit in the display window when you’d been staring at with such bright stars in your eyes, but in truth Alastor had imagined you wearing it just as you were now and couldn’t resist buying it on the spot.
Your husband remained silent as he watched you waltz around the kitchen, chocolate brown eyes peering over the top of his glasses as he did, but his smile faltering seeing the distress in your delicate features.
You weren’t the type to frown often, always emitting warmth and sweetness, so the rare appearance of anguish in your expression perplexed Alastor.
What had upset his darling wife?
Who would he have to kill?….
Asking what was troubling you would surely give him answers to both questions.
He stepped forward, coming from round the corner to enter the kitchen fully before striding over to stand by your side as you began to mix what he assumed was dessert in a bowl.
Albeit, he was probably right knowing you had a vicious sweet tooth.
“Strawberry cake I presume?” Alastor finally speaks, making his presence known with a cheeky remark, and you nearly jump out of your skin hearing his silky voice resonate around the room.
Your head snaps up to look at him, eyes wide with slight surprise, but they quickly soften as he smiles. A blush creeps onto your cheeks as he steps closer, initiating his usual habit of brushing a stray strand of hair from your face before kissing your temple gently, and only pulling away when you squeak out a greeting back to him.
“H-hi Al…you’re home a bit earlier than I expected…” you swallow thickly, staring at him adoringly for a moment before lowering your gaze as tinges of guilt build in you. “I’m sorry dinner isn’t quite ready yet…” you whisper, feeling shameful, and more agitated with yourself than before. Alastor had and would never berate you, unlike most men of the time he saw no benefit in treating his wife like a slave, and made an effort to remind you not everything had to be perfect.
“It’ s alright, darling. You needn’t rush yourself,” his voice is low, simmering with reassurance as he lifts your chin with his thumb and pointer finger. You smile nervously as your eyes meet his again, his touch firm and electrifying all at once, and your tummy doing several flips when he smiles back at you.
Alastor studies your face, attempting to pinpoint the source of your masked sadness, “You seem…troubled, sweetheart. Is there something wrong?” His genuine question brings a shock to your heart, tongue going numb as you race to think of a believable reason for your dampened mood, “I…I just had a little mishap with this cake batter is all!..”
You step away from him, turning to face the semi clean counter with a false air of cheeriness surrounding you. The fear of sounding needy and demanding while telling Alastor the truth keeps you from being honest with him outright.
Fake it.
I shouldn’t worry him with my insecurities or doubts…
It might push him further away…
The whisk in your hand spins in tight circles as you focus on mixing the overdone batter, beginning to thicken itself more than necessary as you kept going, using the task as a distraction from Alastor’s keen observance.
Something was wrong.
He was sure of it now.
His eyes narrowed behind the circular glasses, hands finding your waist as he came to stand behind you, allowing his chest to press against your back, and his head lowering to tuck into the crook of your neck.
A shiver racked your body as he exhaled a long, steady breath onto your skin. Your hands faltered, flurried movements becoming lax as you froze in his embrace, “When’d you start lying to me, ma chère…” Alastor mumbled into your ear. Every nerve in your body was on alert, shocked that he’d went much further than his usual bounds of physical affection, but pleasantly delighted he’d given it to you.
“M’ not lying,..”you try to uphold your lie through rising pants, tempted to moan quietly feeling his lips graze behind your ear, neck, and bare shoulder while your robe shifted lower. You weren’t certain if Alastor was inching it down by his own accord or your subtle squirming against him was to blame.
The ending result was the same either way. Your upper body gradually becoming exposed to his leering gaze and the cool air. Alastor hummed, the sound rumbling deep in his chest and flooding your mind repeatedly as he placed chaste kisses on your neck.
“I wish I could believe you, darling…” he chuckled lowly, hands inching towards the lace ribbon keeping your gown tied shut, and with one gentle tug he rendered the fabric useless. “Al..” you whined in slight surprise as he snatched the ribbon off, letting it unravel into a small pile on the tile floor before sliding his cold hands up the expanse of your heated torso.
Nothing.
You were wearing absolutely nothing underneath the thin robe and Alastor audibly groaned when he realized it.
Had you planned on this?
Were you just waiting for him to venture further with you?
All this time he’d watched you frolic and pace around your shared home, wondering what was hidden under you seemingly modest clothing….just to find you wore nothing at all…
Oh, what a rare occurrence it was for him to be such a blind fool.
Your hands flew to grasp Alastor’s wrists as he held you tighter, kneading your soft flesh lovingly, and taking his time to admire every dip and curve you had to offer him.
“Al…please..” you begged, visibly shuddering as he nipped at your neck and played with your breasts. “I won’t go any further until I hear the truth from that pretty mouth of yours, sweetheart…”
Damn it….you cursed yourself, slowly losing the will to think as his lips found the most sensitive area on your neck, bruising it with his tongue teeth until you whimpered and rushed out a jumbled explanation for your heavy mood.
“I…Imscaredyoudomtlovseme…th-that you d-don’t want me- Ahm…” you soft voice reached a new octave as your husband slid his free hand between your thighs to cup your mound, gingerly kicking your legs apart with a nudge of his foot against your own, and you tensed all over as he did so.
Fuck, he could definitely feel how desperate you were now, essentially a mess already without Alastor doing much of anything, and embarrassingly unable to control your arousal.
“Love, hm? That’s what’s troubling your precious mind?…” Alastor mulls over your confession, able to maintain his composure despite heat rushing straight through him to the head of his cock as he slid two fingers into your dripping cunt. You jolted from the sudden intrusion, head lulling back to rest on his shoulder as he pumped them in and out of you at a leisurely pace, curling his deft digits fowvard every so often to make you shiver.
His thumb found your clit, pressing defined circles into it as he began to ease your worries, “Love, ma chère, isn’t what I feel for you..” Alastor lets out a soft laugh, trying to calm his own mind before clarifying his vague statement all while pushing you near the edge of your first high.
“No….I feel much more than love for you, my dear. Devotion is a better term…obsession at times…” he admits the darker side of his affection through heavy breaths, cock twitching in his dress pants when you mewl in understanding. Your warm cunt suffocates his fingers for a moment, walls fluttering as the knot in your core threatens to undo itself, causing Alastor to sharply exhale from the inviting fluctuations.
Your lips parted to warm him of your impending orgasm but only a strained moan tumbled off your tongue. Alastor needed no other sign to tell if you were close, inwardly prideful he could make you come with ease.
“Go on, come undone for me , darling,” he insists in a hushed groan, his fingers stretching your walls in a fluid rhythm to drag your climax out, and you could’ve tumbled to the floor from the sheer intensity of the knot inside you snapping on his command.
Thankfully his taller frame kept you securely trapped between him and the counter that you soon found yourself sitting on the edge of after Alastor slipped his hand away from your throbbing cunt.
You watched with a dazed eyes as the older man licked a stripe of your cum off his fingers, brown eyes sliding shut as he let out a satisfied grunt before staring at your willing form perched on the counters edge.
The sight drew a his hidden hunger closer to the surface, toying with his self control as he took it in, and urging him to act on a primal instinct he’d only ever describe as “intense affection”.
Was that a flash of red in his eyes just now?
No , it couldn’t be…
You weren’t left much time to decipher the hungry glint in his eyes before Alastor reclaimed his position near you. His slender waist slotted perfectly between your thighs, the robe now draped off your back, and your hair gradually falling loose from its simple updo as his hands traced your sides.
“Love, sweet girl, is for lonesome fools…” Alastor pressed his forehead to yours, letting you chase his lips for one heated kiss after the next, and only denying you another to whisper against your soft and slightly swollen lips.
“Neither of us are alone or fools, correct?” He huffs as you nod slowly, bringing your hands up to undo his tie, and then proceeding to expertly unbutton his vest and dress shirt.
The general charm that Alastor maintained completely dissolved into pining under your gentle fingertips, an almost desperate shot of adrenaline consuming him as you peppered kisses along his jaw and neck.
If what he said was truly how he felt about you…it was enough to stamp out your doubts, allowing the adoring side of you he’d grown familiar with to resurface, “No…we aren’t,” you respond with a small smile.
He tips your chin up, placing a deep kiss on your lips as he shrugs his shirt and vest off, setting his glasses to the side as well before reaching for the leather belt on his waist.
You paid his actions no mind, busy with fighting his tongue for dominance, but admitted defeat quite fast as his wandered your mouth in expert fashion.
Your soft hands passed over his chest, moving up to tangle in his soft curls, gently tugging the strands to earn a groan from him. Alastor pulled back, a single line of spit connecting you two as he did so, and his hair falling in front of his eyes as he stared down into your tear glossed gaze, “You’re mine, ma chère. Til death and beyond…”
You nod, halfway coherent, but mustering the will to answer him with a content smile.
“Til death…” you repeat the phrase, mind reeling further from logical thinking as Alastor hummed hearing your dazed response, head nestled in your neck once more before he trailed open mouthed kisses down the expanse of your trembling frame. He brought himself as close as possible to you, smiling on your skin as you gasp quietly feeling his clothed erection press flush against your bare stomach, leaning further back in his hold embrace him better. You feared making a mess of the counter but as Alastor trailed his lips down your body and kneeled between your legs he gave one swift snap of his fingers to eliminate the obstacle entirely.
What?….How in the world did he do that?…
Your curiosity would’ve prompted you to ask him about the absurd occurrence if it weren’t for the anticipation rushing your blood as he came face to face with your cunt. “Alastor?…” you squeaked his name softly, attempting to close your legs when he sighed out a warm breath on your glistening folds, but he held them open using one hand with ease. The other resting steady on your waist, guiding you to lay back onto the cold marble countertop, and lingering there as you obeyed his wordless command.
“Good girl…” he praised, tone deepening as you whined quietly, the sound morphing into a loud moan as he lazily flicked his tongue over your slit once…twice…and a third time.
“More…” you pant in the midst of moaning, head craning to the side while your back arched and the urge to scream built in your chest as Alastor obliged your request with vigorous intent. He hummed melodically as your taste seeped onto his tongue, walls ever so sensitive as he explored them tirelessly, and a smirk playing on his lips as you writhed in pleasure.
Your face was soon flushed completely, eyes watering as they rolled slightly with each pass of his tongue over your cunt, and your small hands returning to tug at his soft brown hair. Another coil spiraled in your stomach hearing him groan in response, seeming to enjoy how roughly you pulled his hair, and his gaze drifting up for a split second to get a good view of your satiated state.
Seven hells….she looks even lovelier like this…
Alastor unconsciously drags you closer to his face, not caring at all when you lock your legs around his head and cry out from the borderline bruising hold he has on you now. “Oh god!…” you yelp, throwing him a bewildered glance before tossing your head back as he lapped at your clit like he’d starve to death without it, and the relentless attention to your bundle of nerves was the last thing you could comprehend before the knot unwinded itself.
Your vision blurred over, everything starting to spin as your cum gushed into his mouth, and the tears you were fighting to hide slid freely down your face as he downed every single drop your body offered.
It was all too much, the hunger in his eyes, his hold on you, and your high that never seemed to subside even as he broke away from your cunt with a satisfied smile on his face.
It was all too much at once….
Your head buzzed with euphoric afterthoughts, incoherency daring to cloud your senses entirely, but the sound of Alastor’s voice near your ear successfully halted the sensations long enough for you to comprehend what he was saying.
“You taste divine, ma chère…” his musing flusters you, a light shade of pink coating your cheeks as he dips his head to steal a kiss from you, “Al…” you sigh into his mouth, biting back a keen smile, and wrapping your arms around his neck to keep him near.
He chuckles hearing the unsteady tremor in your tone, adding onto his compliment after capturing your parted lips in another deep kiss, “I presume you’ll feel just as wonderful with me inside you, sweetheart…”
His assumption proved true. So much so that the moment his cock passed through your slippery folds a heavy groan of your name was the first and only thing he could manage to say. “Y/n….mon amor…” Alastor held you underneath him, not daring to move without completely relishing in the way your cunt wrapped around him first, and your broken moans dizzying the last bit of self control he was clinging onto.
You tried not to seem overwhelmed, with your legs wrapped around his waist, and your hands cupping his face to keep him as close as possible while your body adjusted to his size. With furrowed brows and a soft smile you praised your husbands well endowed length as he finally drew his hips back, leaving nothing but the head his cock resting in you.
“You…feel…s’good….” You whisper, breathless as he slams back in, swallowing your pleased cries with one tender kiss after the next. He tasted like you, hints of bourbon lingering on his tongue from the drink he’d poured himself before leaving the station, but your essence more prominent than ever.
All that he was, all that he did, and would ever do revolved around you.
His darling wife…
His one and only….
It showed through the sweet phrases he muttered against your lips as he took his time to please you, pace slow and deliberate, but the execution precise and cutthroat.
You weren’t sure when you’d raised your voice, crying out louder as he abused your sweetest spot continuously, and only going silent when a inaudible scream begged to leap from your chest while his cock bullied into cervix. Stars collected in your vision, hands clawing at Alastor’s back as you tried to hang onto reality for dear life, but failing miserably when he sped up his thrusts.
A subtle laugh passed his lips, eyes glinting with greedy lust as your head flew back, exposing all the love bites he’d left on your delicate skin, and the sight caused his cock to twitch inside you.
“F-fuck….Al!” Your eyes watered once more, sliding shut as a familiar pressure built in your core, rapidly gaining density the longer Alastor fucked into you.
He groaned at the sound of you shouting his name in such a twisted mix of ecstasy and anguish. Your soft voice becoming tainted with an edge he’d never imagined it could have. “Close already, my dear?..” he teased you, smile as smug as ever as he stood up straight, hands gripping either side of your hips, and his gaze lowering to where you two connected.
“Look…at…that…” he mused, suddenly slowing his thrusts to a painfully harsh pace, fixated on the way your cunt continuously creamed on his length. Alastor bit his tongue to keep from growling at the view, barely registering your whines and pleads for him to go faster.
“Al…Alastor…please..m’ begging you…please…” you felt your thighs shake as he continued his lazy strokes, clearly wanting to drag the ordeal out for his personal entertainment, and his lack of sympathy for your plight in that moment edged you even closer to cumming.
He knew it too…
That infamous grin on his face as he watched you resort to quiet sobs and desperate moans was a sure sign of the fact…
Alastor knew you needed him, loved him, lived for him..
“Please what, mon chere?” He bit his lip, unhooking your legs from around his waist to push them to your chest, giving his cock a new angle to stretch your cunt with.
You felt like passing out then, all strength evaporating from your body as he reached places inside you that surely didn’t exist before. His taunting didn’t make your dazed state any better, “Please, ruin you? Please, love you?… Let me hear you loud and clear, darling..”
Before you could register the words they flew from you mouth in a hushed flurry of need.
“Please…love me…fuck me like you love me…use me…I don’t care anymore…”
Alastor immediately rewarded your answer, wasting no time as his hips snapped into yours feverishly, flooding the kitchen with the sound of skin against skin.
“Lovely…” he cooed, voice thick with tension as he stared down at your overstimulated form, and within seconds of the praise slipping off his tongue you came undone. He followed shortly after, not caring to ask where you wanted his release, and you made no protest as the warm white liquid spilled inside you.
All you could do was stare, mouth falling open as he fucked his cum deeper, “It’s high time you became a mother, mon chere. You’d like that wouldn’t you?..” Alastor rambled, hardly coherent as his high coursed through him, but his statement crystal clear to you.
“Yes…” you whimper in response, walls clenching his cock as the thought of carrying his child sprung into your mind. “I’d love it…Al.”
His heart nearly stops as a genuine closed eye smile graces your face, a light blush painting your cheeks as he kisses them gently while gingerly slipping his softened cock out of your leaking heat. Alastor then lets your legs fall, lifting you to sit up straight on the counter again before wrapping his arms around your waist.
You hang onto him for balance, feeling entirely small in his grasp, and finding comfort in the embrace as exhaustion trickles in.
Alastor breathed in your sweet scent, beginning to pull your robe back on your tired form before reaching for his dress shirt. He was careful not to stir you away from his chest as he shrugged the clothing back on
“I’d love you and our child more than anything…” he nonchalantly mumbles, kissing the top of your head, and chuckling when your tied eyes go wide with undeniable hope.
“More than anything?…”
“Anything, my dear…” he repeats himself with a soft smile, bringing a hand up to push fallen strands of hair from your face.
That was when it occurred to you…
Alastor Hartiflet could love…
He’d always been able to….
And he loved you enough to share it with another…
How surreal….

Oh god now that toh ends with luz being able to travel between worlds ppl are using that to dunk on amphibia. And now that belos died ppl are using that to dunk on su.
They are different shows people! They have different themes! Amphibia is a classic take on isekai as escapism! Marcy went to amphibia to avoid her real life and while she had fun she didnt mature until after she accepted she needed to embrace change in her life! Anne matured in amphibia bc she always recognized that she has her own life to get back to! Sasha matured after realizing that too! Leaving amphibia for good means to embrace the step out of childhood! Something thats inevitable for everyone!
The owl house is about finding a community in midst of ostracization! Luz stayed in the boiling isles because she found people who accepted her quirks! The boiling isles was in danger from a bigot and luz helps her new community defeat him! Its a very queer story! Community is the center of the story so it makes sense for luz to be able to go back to the boiling isles since shes maintaining her place in the community!
Steven universe is about choosing to be kind! Its that everyone has their own specific traumas that they can overcome with the right support! Its about surviving in a world of bigots at any cost, even if it you have to work with the bigots to carve out a space for the people you love! Because people like you exist and theres nothing anyone in power can do about it! Its also a very queer story! The diamonds can never stamp out the off colors because they will always be there! Steven works with the diamonds not because he likes them but because they can improve the world for his family if only he could get through to them! Hes rewarded for choosing to be kind with success because the theme of the show is hope! Hope that anyone can change! But even though the diamonds stop being fascist steven still doesnt like them because its not about forgiveness! Its about fixing things! Stevens just polite about it!
The owl house starts off with the assumption that everyone can change but its not about the potential its about the willingness to change! The focus is on belos, whos had every chance to turn his life around but will never admit that hes wrong! And the show posits that if someone isnt willing to change theyre not worth helping! Its not about whether or not the character is fascist its about if theyre willing to stop being fascist! Several characters stop being fascist and are welcomed by the characters with open arms belos just wasnt one of them! Several characters clean up their acts but dont adequately address the previous harm they did and are STILL fully forgiven eventually! For toh forgiveness is paired with fixing things you just need to give it time!
And theres an argument that some of these shows didnt do their themes well. If you wanted to portray amphibia as an escapism world that the girls need to leave behind to get to their richer futures then having them get such caring found families go against that by giving them a potential of a good life in the isekai world. Steven universe uses the diamonds as metaphors for mental illness and relationships but its hard to stick with that when you also need to consider the countless other gems they hurt. I think its also fair if people prefer one theme over another.
But a lot of stuff i see comparing these shows just go over surface similarities? Like oh shit! These two shows have the same character archetypes! They have the same inciting incident! This must mean that theyre exactly the same in everything but names and artstyle and are trying to say the exact same things! Like. No. Sometimes,,,,,two stories,,,,,,can talk about two different things,,,,,,,

THE TALK
carl grimes x fem reader (season 5 era)
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: mentions of making out, both characters are 16, no smut because characters are underage, mentions of being caught, father and son argument, angry Glenn, slight angry Maggie, accusation of sex, fem reader, mentions of parent loss, mentions of sex, mentions of 'the talk', mentions of pregnancy, talk of consent, talk of sexual situations between teens, mentions of hormones
a/n: enjoy this because after this happy one there's gonna be two more Carl one-shots except it's gonna be angst :))
-
her hands were pressed against Carl's cheeks while she was soaking into the embrace of their kiss, their mouths moving so rapidly while she could feel him tugging at her t-shirt and of course she so damn eagerly let him pull it off of her.
she smiled happily as a moan was pushed into her mouth from him, in reality they were both just exploring how they felt in the real world, learning the concept of sex and virginity was an all new ballpark.
y/n knew what sex was, so did Carl it wasn't any secret to what it was or the way babies were made, his mother had that talk with him when he was just a boy and well y/n learned on her own since she never really had parents to take after her.
of course they were virgins, in the apocalypse there wasn't very much virginity losing going on, not with Rick and Glenn breathing down both of their backs like the walkers were.
and besides they never really seemed to have the talk with each other because it was something they both knew would come at the right time for each other and well when they believed the time was right it truly never was for them because they would make out and straddle each other until someone knocked at Carl's door and she'd be forced to hide in the closet or he would hide in hers.
she tangled one of her hands in his hair to get a better grip while she propped herself up in his lap to get a better leverage and to maybe feel his hips bucking up at her.
she hummed into his mouth while his hands groped at her body, she let his hands explore from her shoulders down to her breasts until he was rubbing small circles at her hips from the jeans he slightly pulled down to reveal more of her waist for him.
he was rubbing small circles once he found out she was enjoying it, but as she threw her hips up to him the door opened and shocked Atlanta sheriff stood with a loud sound of his voice,
"God dammit Carl! really!" Rick yelled covering his eyes so he couldn't see the girl with only a bra covering her upper half, Carl rushed a t-shirt from the floor on her as Glenn stepped into the room watching as she adjusted her hair with an awkward smile.
"Jesus Carl really c'mon we're in the middle of a god damn apocalypse and now you choose to do this?!" Rick asked looking over as Glenn furrowed his brows and looked over at y/n who was looking down at the wooden tile of the floor below them.
"you usually knock!" Carl shouted in defense looking over at still the confused Glenn who had his arms folded, "what the hell is going on?" he shouted feeling his wife step next to him.
"caught these two going at it" Rick remarked folding his arms as he took a step into the bedroom, "YOU HAD SEX?" Maggie shouted watching as y/n and Carl rapidly shook their head.
"No! dad don't say that! we weren't having sex" Carl huffed putting on his sheriffs hat that was resting on the night stand, "just making out" y/n added feeling the dad eyes soak into her.
she had been with Glenn ever since the start, she lost her father at a young age so she adapted to Glenn,
she had found Glenn when the entire thing started when she was just the same age as Carl, he protected her and now he was her Dad, it's what he was meant for, protecting y/n like his actual daughter just like how Maggie treated her.
"i'm sorry Glenn" she mumbled rubbing her arm softly while she and Carl took a seat on the bed from Rick's hand gesture for them to plant a seat on the bed,
"what if you get pregnant? there are so many risks to this, you could maybe ask for condoms?" Glenn spoke watching as y/n cringed externally and Carl made a disgusted face.
"think it's disgusting now but just wait til wearing a condom matters, besides having a baby is to dangerous especially in these times" Maggie spoke gently as she approached y/n rubbing her shoulder.
"are you mad?" she asked looking up at the adults in the room they all shook their head 'no' in response, "we need you to be safe even if you think it's embarrassing you guys" Rick spoke rubbing over some of the stubble of his beard on his face.
"promise if you have questions or if you need protection you'll ask us or even just go to the pantry and get some as long as your safe that's all it matters and well as long as you both consent" Maggie spoke flicking her eyes at both of the teens.
they both nodded while y/n sprouted a smile on her face, "yes ma'am" she replied while Carl replied the same response and adjusted his hat slightly so it wasn't as crooked.
"be safe kiddos, think about that for next time" Glenn spoke propping a smile on his face, after all they were just foolish teens, teens with hormones that were exploring all of the boundaries and just daring to break some of the rules put in place for them.
Maggie and Glenn stepped out of the room looking as Rick planted one of his feet against the wall while he leaned against it, "so does that mean we can continue what we were doing?" Carl asked hopeful that his father would've said yes.
"you have work and i expect you to be out and dressed in two minutes you hear me, after two minutes i burst in here" he spoke shutting the door behind him.
"that went well" Carl spoke slipping back on a t-shirt while he looked over at her, she had a smile planted on her face.
"i think it did"

One Love (4)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi guys :)
This is the next chapter for the Luna's serie "One Love". I don't know how many chapter I will write for this, so if you have request, my messages are open to you :)
Please enjoy ♥
PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3 | PART 4 | PART 5
______________________________________________________________
Buying a house with someone is something really special. When Lucy talked about it to Ona the first time, she was scared that Ona would say no. The Catalan girl hesitated though, but for a totally another reason than money or engagement. She was shy at first to explain to Lucy why she wouldn’t want to buy a house with the woman she considers like the love of her life.
But then Lucy made her talk to her, and Ona finally admitted that it was because Lucy wasn’t sure to stay in Barcelona and that she didn’t want to come home to find herself alone in their house. It’s squished Lucy’s heart to be honest and she can perfectly understand Ona. The English girl resign soon after her contract to Barcelona and then they started to look for a house.
The one Ona had found was perfect for them. It was in the nearest part of Barcelona from Villassar de Mar, not far away from their friends’ home and not far from the training ground. Alexia’s is at five minutes walk, Salma isn’t far away, as are Mapi and Ingrid. The house has a big garden, two more rooms for when Lucy’s family would come to visit them and a swimming pool. When Ona visits it at first, she got scared that it was to big for the both of them. But then Lucy remembers her that they have two dogs who would love the garden and friend’s who would come visit them from time to time.
They nevertheless decided to build a barrier around the pool, both for Lucy’s nephew and niece, but also for Coco and his passion for water.
They had fun decorate the house after that, taking almost all the furniture from Lucy’s apartment but buying other things together too. Ona wanted a place to make barbecue on summer night, so they made one. They even went to a candle and decoration’s shop at Sevilla after the final in March. Ona posted it on Instagram, but they didn’t make a hard launch however, having fun reading the various speculations on social networks, their fans going crazy just with that.
It's strange sometimes to live together and never have confirmed anything to people, but this is the way they choose to do things and it’s perfect for them like this.
********
Ona was enjoying the last ray of sunshine of the day on their terrasse when Lucy joins her. Ona was wearing one of Lucy’s shirts, but it’s became so usual that Lucy doesn’t even react. She just installs herself next to her girlfriend on the outdoor couch, taking her against herself by passing both of her arms around her waist.
“Hola” smirks Ona, opening one eye to look at Lucy before closing it again.
“Hello there” answers Lucy.
Lucy kisses her cheek several times, then her nose, her jaw and the corner of Ona’s lips. The latter sighs in contentment, making herself comfortable in her girlfriend embrace.
“What do you want for diner?” Ona mumbles some time after.
“Is “You, all the way” a too cheeky answer?”
Ona laughs and opens her eyes to see a full smirking Lucy.
“It’s bad, even for you, mi Vida.”
Lucy pinches her hips in answer, making Ona laughs again, but she can’t help but keep smiling. She loves their life in their new home, she loves her life right now and she loves Ona. She never been so much happy in her life and she can’t wait to see what the future will be. As long as she’s with Ona, she knows it will be great. The greatest, actually.
“How are you so beautiful?” Lucy whispers.
She can’t keep her eyes away from her girlfriend. Her soft long brown hair, the freckles everywhere on her skin, her perfectly drawing nose, her lips she wants to kiss every second of the day. Her eyes, so talkative. They usually are brown chocolate but right now with the sun, they look like dark honey. And Lucy can swear that her skin is like glowing.
She makes Ona blush.
“Stop looking at me like that.”
Ona whines, hiding her face in her hand. When Lucy looks at her that way she blushes everytime and became again the shy Ona she was at the beginning of their relationship. That makes Lucy smile, happy to see that she still has that kind of effect on her girlfriend.
“Why? You are the most beautiful girl in the world and you’re mine. I’ll be stupid not to enjoy the view.”
“You’re such a sap.”
Lucy laughs again but decide not to tease Ona some more, tightening her against her after kissing her softly on her lips. For once, they are not disturbed by their dogs. Both of them are on holidays, Narla at Keira’s and Coco with Ona’s brother. The couple will leave tomorrow for holidays, travelling in Italy and visiting some places too. Their suitcases are ready, one thing who change in Ona’s life now that she’s in relationship with Lucy. Before she only prepared her suitcase like two hours before leaving, running around her flat and forgetting half of her things.
Some things have changed and it’s seems like it’s for the good.
********
Ona and Lucy never went in Italy before, except for football games. When they choose Roma, it was strange for Lucy to ask Keira or Laura any advice, so she just stick with what she finds on Internet. And it was great, to be honest. The hotel she chooses is amazing, their room unbelievable and they both love the city. And the food is kind of great too.
They visited a lot, mostly the most crowded places, but they managed to do it without being recognized. Or at least, no one asked them a picture. They are less famous here than they are in Spain or England though. And they both love that. Lucy even stops to restrain herself and don’t hesitate to pass her arm around Ona’s shoulders or waist when they walk.
Football is never far away from them, though. Tonight, the finale of the men Champions League is playing, Barcelona against Manchester City and it’s happening at Rome. It was way to perfect for both of them to ignore it. So, they take their ticket and went there, Ona wearing a Barcelona jersey and Lucy a City one. Ona sent a picture of Lucy wearing what she calls “The wrong shirt” on the WhatsApp’s group of the Barcelona Femeni, and it’s safe to say that Lucy will probably receive way more laps to do when they come back, gift from Alexia.
It costed Ona a tickle attack and then a pillow fight in their hotel room, Lucy reading the messages after getting ready. The English woman took advantage of Ona’s distraction as she prepared herself in the bathroom. But, when they stopped to take their breath, it only took a big smile from Ona and a few kisses for her to be forgiven.
The game and the atmosphere are great to be fair, but six days passing to explore the city made Ona really tired. Even if her eyes are focused on the pitch, her head finish against Lucy’s shoulder. But the English woman didn’t seem to mind, looking at her girlfriend while smiling.
“Tired Princesa?” Lucy asks.
“Sí” Ona nods.
Ona’s tired face is always soft and endearing, in Lucy’s opinion. She kisses her hair after putting her arm behind Ona’s back and Ona smiles, letting herself go against Lucy a little more. And when she feels Lucy’s thumb stroking softly, lovingly, her jaw, she can’t help but look up at her girlfriend. They look at each other for some seconds before Lucy leans in, kissing tenderly Ona’s lips.
The softness of the kiss and Lucy’s thumbs still stroking her jaw make Ona smile against her girlfriend’s lips. Yet surrounded by thousands of people, when Ona looks in her eyes, Lucy forgets everyone around them.
“Te amo” Ona whispers, before putting her head on her shoulder again.
After the game, they stop to buy a pizza to go and went to their hotel, eating during their walk. They choose to walk and not to take the tub, preferring to avoid a crowd of people. Plus the weather is great, they feel safe and they love discovering some cute alleys. They walk peacefully, hand in hand, talking about everything and anything.
It’s only when she takes her phone at the hotel that Ona sees all the notifications on her phone.
“Qué demonios?!” (“What the hell?”)
Ona seems to be lost, before that her face drops, alerting Lucy.
“What’s happening?”
But the Catalan woman only shakes her head, driving Lucy probably half crazy. She takes Ona by her arm to make her go inside their suite. And, when the door is closed, she turns in Ona’s direction. Ona has a pale face and the only thing holding Lucy back from asking her who died is because she really fears that someone actually died. So she just wait, looking at Ona expectantly.
“Everyone knows” Ona mumble, scrolling her phone.
“What are you talking about?”
“Remember when you kissed me? During the game?”
Lucy nods only, forcing Ona to look at her to realize that she answered her. Instead of answering herself, Ona just show her phone to Lucy. Ona is on Tiktok and the video in front of Lucy’s eyes is simply them kissing during the game, two hours before. Letting a swear word escaping her lips, Lucy takes her phone too, looking at her notifications. They are blowing, just like Ona’s.
She rolls her eyes reading her brother’s text (“Nice hard launch, Luce”) and scroll between different apps. Their groups of friends are going crazy too and some of their messages make her smile too. But when she looks up at Ona once more, the Spaniard seems still very pale and is looking at her with something looking like fear in her eyes.
“What is it Princesa?” Lucy asks softly.
She takes two steps to be as near from Ona as possible, reaching for her hand. Ona takes it hesitantly, letting Lucy takes her in her arms.
“You’re not mad?” ended up asking Ona, her cheek against Lucy’s shoulder.
“No, why would I be mad?”
Ona simply shrugs her shoulders for any answer, but this doesn’t suit Lucy. The latter gently takes the chin of the Spanish woman between her thumb and index finger to raise her face in her direction.
“Hey. Just talk to me please?”
Ona sighs, she’s never able to refuse anything to Lucy when she looks in her eyes like that.
"You’ve always been afraid we’d go public. I just wonder what’s changed."
Lucy bites her lips and looks at Ona for several seconds before answering. She choses her words with attention, just to be sure that her thoughts are clearly passed to Ona.
“I was afraid that people’s words might hurt you. We were more subtle than Keira and Laura and look how many times they have to remove the comments under their posts? That’s not what I want for us. You are the most important person to me – don’t say that to my mom please – and I think it would make me die to see people talking about you the way they are doing about Laura. I just wanted to protect you, it wasn’t about hiding my feelings for you. I’m proud to be with you.”
Ona bites her lips too, but when she opens her mouth to talk, Lucy talks first.
“I’m not mad. It’s too late to change things anyway. We just have to leave with our friend’s teasing for some days now.”
“Days? Don’t you know Mapi?”
Lucy laughs at that, rolling her eyes once again. She knows that Ona is right obviously. They will hear about this story for a very long amount of time. Ona tiptoe to kiss Lucy, and the latter doesn’t hesitate to pass her arms around Ona’s waist and kiss her back. She made them fall on the bed, making Ona laughs and stops the kiss.
Lying on her girlfriend, Ona kiss her one more time, happily surprise to see how the moment didn’t make an argument between them. They almost never fought since they were together, of course they were small arguments, but Ona only remembers one big fight. They found Coco hiding under their bed after that.
Lucy extends their kiss, letting her hands running on Ona’s back and tights. When the kiss ends, Lucy close her eyes, letting her head rest on the pillow. And she passes her hand under Ona’s jersey to stroke her skin.
Some seconds passes, before Ona stands up a little, a malicious smile on her lips.
“I definitely will say it to your mother.”

Blood moon
Tumblr media
Pairings: Marilyn Thornhill / Laurel Gates x Fem coworker reader
Warnings: smut, mommy kink, age gap
Summary: Laurel is seeking revenge on Nevermore's outcasts, but her younger coworker vies for her attention.
———
As she gazed at the moon, she knew that her final night at Nevermore Academy was approaching and that the moon would turn red in just a few hours. She couldn't help but smirk as she thought about fulfilling the plan she had worked so hard for all those years.
Suddenly, she was interrupted by a loud knock on her apartment door. She rolled her eyes and walked towards the entrance, not wanting any distractions from her plan that day.
Marilyn put on her best smile and opened the door with her usual happy attitude. However, she was pushed to the side by a girl who entered the room without waiting for permission. Although the girl's face was covered by the various snacks and DVDs she held, Marilyn immediately recognized her coworker. Despite the unwanted interruption, Marilyn found herself genuinely smiling at the girl who was struggling with her heavy baggage.
„Could you please help me?“ you said trying to keep the bowl of popcorn from sliding down using your nose.
The redhead approached cautiously, placing your items on the table. "What's this, y/n?" she asked seriously.
"We're having a movie night!" you exclaimed cheerfully, already on your way to the TV. "What do you want to watch?" You bowed down and looked at your friend through your legs, making her laugh. "We have two horror movies and, oh, look what I brought!" You held another disc in the air. "It's another horror movie!" Marilyn smiled at your effort but tried to think of a way to get out of this situation since it didn't fit her plan that well.
"You really enjoy horror movies, huh?" she asked, amused. "Where did you get that impression?" you asked in feigned surprise. "Since you're not choosing, I will," you said, shrugging as you inserted the first DVD into the player.
"Hey, umm, do you mind if we don't hang out today?" You looked at Marilyn with concern. "Is everything okay? Are you busy?"
Marilyn sighed heavily. "No, it’s not that. You know...I have a stomach ache and I'm really tired. I'd rather just go to sleep now." She paused, looking at you for a reaction, but you didn't seem to understand. "Can we have a movie night tomorrow?"
You turned off the TV and quickly made your way to her bedroom, trying to hide your concern behind an unbothered face. "Y/n? What are you doing?" she asked, looking confused as she followed you. You were already lying in her bed. "Since you're not feeling well, we'll just have a sleepover instead” you said, smiling proudly. "I'll take care of you."
Marilyn had made a decision to go along with the situation and leave only after you had fallen asleep. She let out a sigh and got into bed, facing towards you. Suddenly, you both were closer to each other than usual. The warmth of your breath made her feel a little giddy, but in a good way. She was confused about what was happening to her, but before she could say anything, you moved closer and wrapped your arms around her torso while entwining your legs. You rested your head on her shoulder, and she realized that she couldn't move without waking you up later. So, she decided to lie there for a while, enjoying the warmth of your embrace.
Taking in your scent Marilyn caught herself thinking of a way to exclude you of her plan. Maybe she should put you under the influence of some narcotics from her conservatory, sit you in her car and drive far away from here once her plan succeeded. But then other thoughts crept up her mind. That you’re just one on them. Somebody who will betray her eventually, someone who will leave her once they know the truth. Losing every track of time drowning in her own thoughts, she suddenly recognized that your behavior was in fact quite off. You’re not normally that clingy and touchy and that’s when she finally realized what you were doing.
As she turned her head towards you, she removed a stray strand of hair from your face and whispered, "Why are you trying so hard to keep me in this room tonight, y/n?" You shook your head lightly and replied, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"I think you do," Marilyn sighed, "Why today?" You took a moment to consider your options before deciding to tell the truth. "Because it's the blood moon," you closed your eyes and took a deep breath. "I know what you're planning, Laurel," you said, looking directly into your coworker's eyes. Laurel's eyes widened at your words and she immediately sat up, moving away from you in a panic.
You tried stopping her by putting a hand on her exposed knee. „Calm down, I didn’t tell anyone. Even though deep down I know I should have.“ „Then why didn’t you?“ Laurels voice was nothing more than a husky whisper the shock still sitting deep in her body. You thought about the question for a few seconds. It’s a good question, yeah, why didn’t you tell anyone about the dangerous psycho who is planning to destroy the whole school and all of its students and teachers as well. There was no logical explanation to why you kept this to yourself over months and you started to feel really guilty about it.
"I didn't want to lose you," you whispered back, defeated. "I like how things are going right now. There are so many things I still want to do, things I still want to say." At this point, your own words made you tear up. You could have sworn that you saw a single tear rolling down Laurel's chin as well.
"What kind of things?" Her voice faltered as she asked the question. You paused to think before deciding to be completely honest. At this point, there was nothing to lose. "Laurel, I'm in love with you," you said, your voice catching in a quiet sob. "I've been in love with you since the day I arrived, and nothing I've learned about you or your past has changed the way I feel."
You waited anxiously for her response, but she remained silent and expressionless. You pleaded with her to say something, anything, as tears welled up in your eyes. You had just opened up your heart to her, and it felt like she was intentionally ignoring you. You moved closer to her, grasping her shoulders, considering shaking her to snap her out of her trance.
Finally, her gaze met yours once again, and she gently placed her hands on your face, cupping your cheeks. "Are you really in love with me?" she asked sincerely, and you simply nodded in response. "Even after everything you know about me?" She began to caress your face with her soft fingers, and you leaned into her touch, nodding weakly once again.
"I never would have guessed you had those kind of feelings for me, my love," she said softly, touching your nose with her own before inhaling deeply. "I want you to leave this place, y/n," she whispered, and you noticed her lips shaking. "Take my car and drive as fast as you can. Don't look back, ever," she stressed the last word.
You were hoping to hear something different and tears threatened to spill from your eyes. You wished she would tell you that she was in love with you too, hold you close and kiss you. You wanted her to forget about her plan and spend the night with you. Actually, you wanted her to spend every night with you.
"I don't want to leave you," you said between sobs. "You're not safe with me, Baby," that's when she teared up too. "I'll come and get you after everything's done. We'll start over again, just you and me. Somewhere no one knows our names. We can be whoever we want to be. We can be together, forever." After a short pause, when she noticed her words made you cry even harder, she added, "Isn't that what you want, Darling?"
You nodded but then quickly shook your head, which mader her tilt her head in confusion. „I want to start over with you. The wonderful, kind and smart woman I fell in love with. Not the genocidal crazy woman who committed a bunch of warcrimes on the innocent out of personal anger issues.“ you took a deep breath regaining posture looking her straight in the eyes. „Do you love me?“ you didn’t blink, no sobs, no tears escaped you body.
„I do.“ she answered cautiously. „3 years ago, when you first started working here, I saw you in the cafeteria at midnight. It was the day before the raven und everything had already been set. But you sat there with a bunch of bowls all containing jelly beans. You couldn’t leave it like that you just had to s“ „I sorted them by color!“ you laughed interrupting her. „That’s when I realized.“ you looked at your crush waiting for her to say what you wanted to hear so badly.
„Can I kiss you?“ She whispered so quiet you were afraid it was only in your imagination. „Please“ was everything you had to say for her to close the gap between your lips put the softest kiss on your upper lip. After a few seconds she tried to pull away but you wouldn’t let her. Your kiss grew more desperate and her hands grasped your waists like it was her life support while yours were wrapped around her neck tightly. Out of breath you broke the kiss.
„I love you“ she panted and tried to connect your lips again, but you lowered your forehead just enough to stop her from kissing you, forcing her to look you in the eyes. „You love me?“ you asked suddenly serious again. „Yes, I love you. Only you, Sweetheart.“ „Love me more than you hate them.“ your voice was soft but determined.
„What?“ she asked letting go of you sitting back a bit. „I said I want you to love me more than you hate them.“ you repeated yourself more clearly. She averted her gaze and stared into the void again. „Let go of the resentment, Laurel. Those people aren’t your enemies. Their death won’t bring you satisfaction.“ you cleared your throat. „But I will. Gosh I could make you feel so good, Laurel.“ changing your tone to a more seductive one which is obviously irritating her, making you smirk.
Slowly you crawl on to her lap straddling her hooking a finger unter the hem of her shirt lifting it up a bit, placing your hands on her bare waist.
„I can make you moan my name all night, do you want that?“ you said noticing her breathing to get quicker. You started to kiss her neck making her tilt her head giving you more access. Meanwhile your hands trail down her body under her skirt caressing her clothed core. „You’re so wet Baby.“ you said in between kisses. „What do you want me to do?“ you said retracting your hand from her middle making her whine. „Just fuck me already.“ she moaned and you immediately complied slipping a hand into unter her panties sliding up and down her folds slowly. „Please, y/n.“ she hissed at you. „Make momma feel good.“

Dearer than I?
Tumblr media
Description: You must choose between betraying your dear friend or your dearest love. Got bored during my last half hour of work, and that TikTok audio has been stuck in my head, so here's my attempt to purge it from my mind. Enjoy!!!
His hand is outstretched, patient but pleading, his eyes, dark and intense, but somehow still soft as sunlight settling on the ocean floor.
Your arms are wrapped around yourself, tight and desperate, attempting to keep yourself from metaphorically spilling onto the sand, a bloody mess of grief and regret, of anger and loss.
“Please in yakunaj.” His voice is a whisper, breaking at the end, and it feels as if someone has taken a spear and jammed it through your chest.
You want to look away, you’re desperate to, but cannot. His eyes always draw you back, he need not open his mouth to sing, you were ensnared by a single glance, by the kaleidoscope of warm colors weaved within his eyes.
The invisible thread that exists between you and him keeps you pinned in place. “I would be betraying Shuri, she is my friend, I owe her my life.”
“You would betray me, instead?” He asked, voice still soft, as if it would pain him to raise it.
You wished he would yell, scream, rage, do anything, be anything, but this soft broken K’uk’ulkan that stands before you.
You swallow hard, blinking away tears, your lips move but no sound escapes.
The waves crash on the shore, the nightbirds sing, the wind swirls between the two of you, and you take a step forward. Towards him, the man—the god—the mutant—whatever the hell he is, and he takes in a quick breath, chest expanding as you draw closer.
“I love you.” You manage to utter, your heart in a vice grip, the pressure of the choice you must make weighs so heavily upon you, and you wish to collapse, to drown, rather than make it.
“Then take my hand, burn the world with me.” He pleaded, the moonlight bathing him in her soft glow, shining off the gold he adorned himself with.
All his focus is on you, every flicker within his eyes, every rise and fall of his chest, every syllable that passes through those perfectly formed lips, is for you.
“I would be betraying Wakanda, the very country I left my home to protect, the one who embraced me even though I did not bear her blood.” You stressed, praying he would understand, that somehow, he would make the decision for you.
“And you believe Talkon would not do the same? That they would not welcome you with open arms, that my people would not rejoice in the fact that I have found my queen?” His fingers twitched as if he wished to take your hand, to press it to his heart as he often did when making silent promises.
“I didn’t say that—”
The anguish is clear in his low voice as he cuts you off. “You are mine, my queen, you have stolen my heart and held it captive within your chest. I cannot retrieve it without cracking open your ribs and ripping it out, and to do so—to do so would end me. I cannot fathom harming you in reina, do not force my hand, I beg of you.”
Tears slip down your cheeks, your heart pounds against your chest so strongly for a moment you think that perhaps he is right, his heart resides beside your own, for your heart never possessed such strength. “If I could return it to you, I would, K’uk’ulkan I would never wish you pain, never wish to force your hand.”
His tone is angry now, words sharp as the weapons his people favor, but his eyes remain swirling pools of grief. “I do not want it back, it is yours. I want you. I want the woman I love by my side, where I can protect her.”
You’re on the brink of sobbing, of falling to the sand and crying until your tears flow, so heavily you become one with the sea. “I cannot betray them; they are dear to me.”
His fingers curl inwards, slowly, mournfully. “Dearer than I?”
You shake your head, mind a whirlwind of choices, of answers, of guilt and grief, and want.
You want to be with K’uk’ulkan, you want to ease his pain, to smooth out the furrow of his brow, to sit by his side and be his queen. You are both immortal, if Talkon remained hidden, you would rule together for eternity.
“No, no one is dearer than you.” You admit, half-adoringly, half-helplessly.
You are helpless against the torrent that is your affections for him, helpless to the call of his heart to yours. He’s wrong, his heart does not reside within your chest, beside your own, for yours has slipped between the cracks of your ribs and into his own. He carries your heart as you carry his.
“Then I do not under—”
It’s your turn to cut him off. You take his hand, unfurling it, and bringing it to your cheek before you kiss him. Fervently, desperately, wishing to drown in him before your grief chokes you. “No one, there is no one dearer than you.” You assure him, willing your heart to return to your chest, to free him from this torment.
Your heart gives no answer except beating in time with his, two drums of war echoing each other’s call.
He cradles your cheek, his free arm wrapping around your waist, crushing you against him. “In reina, in reina, in reina.” He whispered over and over as he brushed soft, grateful kisses to every inch of your skin. “I love you, only you, I am yours.”
“I am yours, your queen.” You echo, letting him take you under, the world muffled by the sea.
You would not face Shuri, would not return to Wakanda until she was long dead, perhaps then you could seek forgiveness from her grave.

Hihihi
I read the request you wrote for lucifer, and it made me so happy!!!!
And, I do have one more request, could you maybe generally write for the hazbin group finding out the readers cause of death being from a roller coaster, and them not knowing who they are? (Could it maybe be a song fic using the ballad of Jane doe?)
Or
A platonic angel dust fic with the reader talking(singing) about their previous family and / or life? Along with them breaking down at the end, with a small bit of comfort from angel dust? (Dead mom from beetle juice)
You can choose either or, it doesn't really matter to me :)
With love,
-Xin 💙

Ballad of Jane doe
Tumblr media
You came to the hotel confused and scared, you found a flyer that advertised and you thought that it'd be better then the chaos in the other parts of hell.
You didn't remember much about your life, just that you died from a rollercoaster accident with your friends? Classmates? Family? You didn't remember,
The last thing you remember was someone clutching your hand saying something that was muffled over the screams before a sharp piece of metal sliced your throat and you saw the sky.
Sometimes you get glimpses of life before, school uniforms, arcades, lights, someone saying a muffled name, holding you, smiling at you.
Who were they? A friend? Family?
You wish you knew.
Charlie was the most sympathetic to your situation, embracing you with open arms into the hotel, imagine not knowing who you were? Well you didn't have to imagine.
You were practically a clean slate, perfect for redemption no matter what you did in the past, because you weren't that person anymore.
Charlie had organized a trust exercise that had pinwheeled into mild drunken shenanigans venting about life and how they lived before they died, Husk had revealed that he apparently had a child somewhere that caused a small commotion of "YOU HAD A WHAT-" and that turned into Sir Pentious saying he missed his son,
Niffty brought up some guy she was obsessed with while alive that may or may not have died it wasn't clear, Vaggie revealed small, very small parts about her life in heaven and being an exorcist, Angel dust brought up his family that was in hell and his twin sister Molly who was the only one to go above, and even Alastor was in the conversation talking about his mother and what a wonderful mother she was.
And then it came to you, cradling a alcoholic beverage.
"I wish I knew what my life was like, like What did I do end up down here? I mean I know I died because of a rollercoaster but I don't think that was a sin." You said your fingers circling your glass, Angel dust patting your shoulder in support.
"I'm sure it wasn't anything that bad"
"You probably set orphanages on fire, I can see you doing that" Niffty chimed in staring into your soul
"Niffty what the hell."
You took a breath as music began to play, one of the things you don't expect in death is that everything becomes a musical.
"Some might say we're release, pushing daisies, deceased,"
You place the glass you were holding onto the table in front of you before standing up from the couch you wrapped your arms around yourself.
"But we all know the worms must be fed,"
"And They're singing." Husk muttered taking a swig of his drink as he was told to hush.
"There's just one lingering fear, Oh my soul, is it here?"
It was a silly question but was it? Most Hellborn supposedly didn't have souls but they were still alive in someway, was it the same case with you? Is that why you couldn't remember? Was your soul back on earth where you perished?
You let one of your hands drift up to your neck, feeling the thread stitching that kept your head attached to your neck, it was slightly lighter then the rest of your body, reminiscent of a dolls.
"Or is it rotting somewhere with my head?"
The people you mostly considered friends [Alastor was on a thin line of friend or weird smiley guy that lived in the hotel] watched you pace around.
"Oh my soul"
Who were you?
"Oh my soul"
What did you do? What didn't you do?
''Oh my soul''
What regrets did you have? Did you live life to the fullest? Who did you love, who did you cherish? Did you have friends? Family? Who were they?
"Oh my soul''
"Ooh...Ooh...Ahh...Ahh... ah''
You missed people you didn't even remember,
Were you loved? Hated?
Did someone miss you? Who did you die with? What did you do to end up here? Did you kill someone? Did you set an orphanage on fire like Niffty suggested?
The people that appeared in your dreams, who's faces were blurred, that would disappear when you tried to reach out to them, were they real or were they just from your dreaming state?
"Oh no soul, and no name"
Everyone had come up with their own nickname for you, typically something related to dolls like doll, Dollface, Dolly, Raggedy Ann, Raggedy Andy or Chucky etc
That last one was from Husk.
you didn't mind it but you desperately wanted to know what your name was, did you get to choose it? Or was it given to you? Did you like it? Did you want to change it? Did you go by a nickname instead? Was it long? Was it short? Was it fancy or simple? Were you named after someone? Oh how you desperately wished to know.
"And no story, what a shame.."
Was your life exciting? Dull? Did you wish for something more?
"Cruel existence was only a sham?"
Dying in a rollercoaster accident was odd, insane and tragic, you showed up in hell with a uniform, were you a student? Did you attend some weird uniform requiring college? You died with others you knew them didn't you? Did you die with strangers or did you die with people you knew?
Tears swelled in your glassy, shiny doll-like eyes
"Oh Saint Peter, let me in!"
Charlie and Vaggie shared a look, recalling the whole welcome to heaven thing and him straight up moaning in song.
"You must know where I've been, Won't you tell me at last who I am?"
You could bare it, being in hell, it was horrible because it was hell but everyone else knew who they were, somewhat, they had a name that they chose or got, they had some semblemblance of an identity,
So why didn't you?
"Who I am,"
It wasn't fair, it really wasn't
"Who I am"
Everyone in the room knew who they were, they remembered their lives or in Charlie's case her life so far.
"Who I am"
You didn't ask for much, you helped out at the hotel, you gleefully participated in the exercises, you were a decent person, at least now you were if you weren't before.
"Who I am"
Would you get your memories back if you went to heaven?
"Ooh...Ooh...Ahh...Ahh... ah"
Or would you completely lose your memories again, would you have to start all over again?
You didn't want to forget the folks in the hazbin hotel, they were your friends right?
Right?
It'd be one thing if you lost your memories here but it'd be just cruel if you lost them again, you didn't want to lose them again you desperately clung to the glimpses you got of the past, you needed to keep the memories of the present.
"And from the ground, beneath my feet, I hear the anguish of the street"
You glanced outside the window, people were doing whatever they did, someone was actively getting stabbed they probably remembered who they were.
"A choir never complete"
Something flashed in your head
You died in a choir, you were apart of a choir,
You were apart of something, you sung with them, were you all close? Were you like family?
Where were they? Would they recognize you if they saw you now?
Would they? Would you recognize them? Would all your memories come rushing back in an instant like in the movies?
"And like an old forgotten tune, a song that no one knows..."
A appeared in your arms, a doll that had been gifted to you by Angel dust for a day they had dubbed your birthday, they threw you a party and everything, confetti, balloons, cake, you got a few gifts that you treasured, from Charlie, sir Pentious, hell even Alastor gave you a weird doodle of you that laid with the other gifts.
You held it close to you.
"Forgot how it goes, just John, Jane and me"
You didn't name the doll John or Jane, you didn't know a John or a Jane, or maybe you did? Anyways you carried it around with you, finding it as a source of comfort for when your friends weren't nearby
"Forever eternally, Doll Doe"
You hugged the doll tighter as a tear slipped slid down your doll-like face,
You were angry, what had you done to deserve this? You should at least know what condemned you here? What sin was so bad to warrant this?
"And I'm askin' why lord,"
The effects kicked in as the room went darker as your voice raised, desperation, confusion.
"If this is how I die, lord"
Why couldn't you have a normal death at least! Did anyone even find your head? Was it eaten by animals? Did it hit some poor person trying to have a fun day at the amusement park?
"Why be left with no family"
The hotel residents began to develop a found family relationship, and you were apart of it, you loved it but, what was your family from before like? Did you even have one?
"And no friends?"
Assuming no one you knew had fallen down below, you didn't die alone but you came alone while the others had ascended to above.
"Ooh."
Background vocals came in out of nowhere lowkey freaking out some of your friends, Vaggie had already gotten her spear ready to Incase, of something maybe if the voices decided to attack
"I've got no celebration, just this consolation,"
Did you even have a funeral? Was it closed casket? Who attended?
"Time eats all his children, In the end"
You had questions and you wanted answers.
"Ahhh..."
Freaky disembodied background vocals
"A melody floats through the air, when silence falls, does no one care?"
You were human once, you didn't care what genre your life fell into, comedy, horror, tragedy, thriller, if you played the role of a villain or a hero, a funny side character, you just wanted to know
"Does anyone care?"
Where were the background vocals coming from, they were freaky.
"Another sad, forgotten tune"
Your story laid forgotten, abandoned on some bookshelf like a book a teenager brought thinking they'd like it but they couldn't even make it past the first page so it lays, rotting away.
"Another song that no one knows"
You wanted to go back, you wanted to live your life again, you didn't know what it entailed but you would do anything, make a deal, throw whatever afterlife you had away.
"So that's how it goes!''
No, you would keep the afterlife you were given, you cherished the memories you've made here.
"Just John, Jane and me"
Your life was cut short wasn't it? What didn't you get to experience, what didn't your choir experience?
Why did you all have to die that day? Why did the rollercoaster have to derail, why didn't they check it?
"Forever eternally, Dollface Doe"
"And she's asking why, lord?"
The disembodied voices were in all honesty a nice touch to the song, still freaky though especially since was now dolls scattered around the area, is that where the voices were coming from?
"Why, oh why, oh why, oh why...?"
Why?
You were the one who convinced your choir to go on the rollercoaster, you begged them offering to buy them snacks after,
They agreed, you didn't know.
Was that the thing that condemned you here??
"This is no way to die, lord!"
At least getting decapitated by a rollercoaster made for a good conversation starter, probably.
"No one to sing, no one to sigh"
You only got glimpses, sometimes a nostalgic feeling for something you couldn't remember no matter how desperately you wanted too.
"Now that all is said and done"
Life had ended, afterlife had only begun,
You couldn't go back, no matter what you did, even if you sold your soul, a soul you weren't sure you even had anymore.
"Isn't there anyone to tell me who I am?"
You were turned away from your friends, you didn't want to see the pitying face some of them probably had.
"No singing songs of celebration''
Were you someone who liked to party? A homebody? Were you a sweetheart? Did people say you had a heart of stone,
"Just this sorry speculation"
You could try and force yourself to remember but in the best case scenario you could get a glimpse and a headache, and the worse case you'd be left clutching your doll trying to comfort yourself with a horrible headache.
"Like John and Jane I'll be eternally"
Maybe you should give up on trying to figure out who you were, try to forget that you ever lived before this.
"A forgotten name, some lost refrain"
If anything, you didn't have to have your memories back completely, if you could just remember your name.
"Just 'Doll' "
You closed your eyes, clutching the doll.
"Dolly..."
The freaky dolls that appeared sneaked close, Vaggie stabbed one like a doll kabob
"Doe!"
You twirled and landed back in your seat, you leaned to the table to grab your drink again, intending to down it as the dolls finished your lament.
"A melody floats through the air, when silence falls, does no one care?"
The room began to lighten back up again as the creepy little dolls poofed away one by one, including the kabobbed one.
"Doll Doe."
You got a hug from a tearful Charlie and a two handed headpat from Angel since he couldn't really do anything else since you were trapped in Charlie's hug.
Charlie would later note that it was a successful trust exercise since everyone including you had opened up a little bit, you felt relieved to get that lament of yours off your chest, it didn't change much but breaking out in song was oddly therapeutic, you guessed that's why others did it so often!
Would you ever regain your memories? You didn't know, but for now you would try to remember anything from your past while making new memories with your friends at the Hazbin hotel.

Obanai x reader
Warning: Angst and comfort. Platonic Relationship. I have so many ideas for Obanai but it's tiring to make sure its plot is not repeating. But I hope you enjoy this one!
Would you choose the Moon that was in your darkest time, or the Sun that brightened the whole world you lived in?
_____________________________
Ever since I was born, I was taught how cruel the world can be. Born from a family of broken people, I was raised to close my emotions.
To be the master of it before it became my reason of failure.
I remained detach to the people around me, maintain the acquaintance nature with them.
Until I met him at the age of 13.
Someone who was scared of me the first time we met.
"Please calm down. I won't harm you" I tried to soften my voice down to calm the boy brought by the Flame Hashira, Rengoku Shinjuro.
Kanae-san assigned him to me since we were at the same age and she is still helping out the injured ones from a mission.
She saw me as the only suitable person to tend him.
I set down the kit I was holding as I gave him a side glance who was looking at me warily.
I walked towards the window with a sigh and opened it to let the fresh breeze of the day in.
In hopes that he won't suffocate with my presence.
This was the first time I felt clueless about a situation. I really don't know how to act next.
My first hesitation...
If I approach him now or try to make him lower his guard on me, it could start a fragile relationship between the two of us.
The actions I thought wouldn't help our situation at all.
If Kanae-san was the one doing it, with her good personality, he would trust her.
But I don't know how to show kindness to a person who was violated by his own family.
He has his own traumas, his own fear. And if I directly confront those, it would break the communication between us that haven't even started.
I looked around the room as I looked for something that could relax him.
"Where is Rengoku-san?" I heard him mutter under his breath that made me turn my head to look at him.
Thank goodness he started the conversation first.
"Rengoku-san is preparing for another mission" I answered his question before I took a book from one of the shelves.
It might help him escape from the reality he experienced.
"If you don't mind me asking, do you love reading?" I ask him without my usual monotone voice so I can quickly heal him.
I need to finish this...
He slowly shook his head that made me nod before offering him the book I took.
"Well this might be one of the times you will need it" I offered it to him as I saw how his gaze fell on it.
"I don't know how to"
It felt like my world stopped when I heard those words from him.
The time I finally found a crack on his walls...
I didn't realize how my eyes shone from his words before a smile lifted from my lips.
"Let me teach you then. So you know a way you can escape the world we live in."
Reading a book that was never connected to the real world can heal and change his perspective about the society we lived in.
It was supposed to be a way to get him comfortable with me in just one moment.
I never knew I would cherish it on my entire life.
That day was the first time I gave effort on communicating with someone. The first time I forgot my fears that I might experience the more I continue my actions.
The first time I really stayed for someone else's comfort.
Ever since that time, there was no day I didn't visit him in his room as he slowly healed from my guidance.
Mostly everyone knew how important he was for me.
The first person I opened my heart with.
"Iguro, open your arms like this" I showed it my arms that were wide open like it was welcoming a hug.
He sighed knowing where this would lead to and he didn't hesitate opening his arms to embrace my form.
"Thank you" I whispered as I basked in the warmth of his embrace.
He never fails to silently comfort me on my lowest. When everything became overwhelming when I started to change for him.
From a nonchalant person to a caring one.
Most of the people in the Demon Slayer Corps were shocked by the change that happened when he entered my life.
Even me...
He is not aware of the effect he had on me.
But maybe because of my happiness that I became a light to someone's life. I became someone valuable to their life because I chose to be kind.
When I didn't push anyone nor question what hurt them.
It made me love myself. It made me yearn for the happiness I should experience because I deserved it.
I thought I deserved it.
Until he became a hashira, that became the beginning of our bond that was slowly breaking.
The time he became strict with my practice, the more he wanted me to push myself to my limits so I can become stronger.
For the reasons I never knew.
The times when I saw his tired gaze on mine. When I sometime sense him almost giving up on me.
It continues to ruin me.
I never really wished to become a fighter, but I chose to, so I can be beside him.
So I can keep reminding him that I was still beside him.
But the more our strength became different, the more I felt him slowly slipping from my grip.
I don't want to lose him...
Because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it.
I train everyday so I can reach his expectations. Yet there is one thing I am afraid the most...
And that is when the time will come he would see me differently than before if I failed his expectations he set for me.
My father's words of not letting anyone change me was ignored knowing that if I don't experience this challenges...
If I keep running away from it, I would never gain anything.
That's what I keep telling myself so I can continue everyday.
Until she entered his life that I noticed I was not that someone significant to his life compared to him in my life.
Mitsuri Kanroji, the first person that introduced me to the emotion called 'jealousy'.
Almost 7 years of my growing affection for the serpent Hashira, without any effort, she managed to catch his eyes because of her extraordinary strength.
The thing he wants me to have.
It made me so wary of her that I didn't notice the toxic personality I had would be shown to her.
Yet her kindness made me doubt myself more. Knowing him, he would never like my treatment for her.
So I just ignored her.
But the more my insecurities show up, the more I notice his presence disappearing from my life.
That I always saw him with her.
The time I already knew that I was the one who lost him.
The first man who made me cry for so many nights. The first man who made me love myself...
And the first person who made me hate it.
If I let myself experience the hardships of life, there can be a chance I can become someone strong like he is.
If I just didn't cower, if I just got out of my comfort zone, I could become a better version of the person than who I am now.
No matter how much I tried to look for him, to approach him. The thought that I would ruin his moment with her halt me from my actions.
That the bond I was trying to save by myself, was finally drowning.
From being his friend, to becoming someone who gazed at him from far away.
I started to notice his treatment on her compared to others.
She was the only exception from his strict and merciless personality. Because even I, experienced it.
The more I saw the difference between me and her, the more my mental health deteriorated.
The main reason I started to become more distant to him, until my mere presence completely became like a wind.
The reason I started to question my real worth to the people around me. To the people I tried to not connect with because I already have him.
So this is what my life was before he entered it. It was really lonely...
I felt a tear fall from my eyes as I stood on top of the hill as I gazed at the headquarters I lived my whole life with.
Having this moment, it made me question if I regret letting him enter my heart. Because if I didn't, I would never cry for something I already expected.
My Father told me how difficult to overcome the first heartbreak.
It was indeed difficult.
It felt like my air was cut off as my chest tighten from overthinking.
But am I really overthinking?
I can hear my harbored breaths as I try to stop the feeling of agony from consuming me.
The torment I made myself experience, the suffering I knew I would feel the moment I soften up to someone else.
This is the thing I feared the most.
That my mind will become my own enemy.
I really shouldn't have...
I regret-
"Y/n?" I felt my body went numb the moment I heard him behind me.
After a year of being distant to him, my destiny let me confront the person I have been avoiding.
Is this one way of improving?
Is this the moment I need to overcome this obstacle so I can learn?
I didn't know it would be difficult.
I can't even find the strength to face him. After I finally manage to set my mind in one thing, I let the cold breeze of the night dried my tears before I manage to face him.
His gaze greatly reminded me of my old self.
The one who always held a blank stare. Something that would be difficult for the other person to interpret the emotions hidden beneath those eyes.
What is it?
That's one thing I want to let out of those very moment but I didn't manage.
I want to stay away from him so it would hurt less.
But my movement completely did the opposite that I found myself walking toward his direction as I just let my head rest on his shoulder.
Our surrounding were silent as he can't find the words to express what is currently happening right now.
Even I don't know why I did it. But I just needed something, a comfort so I can find the strength to walk away.
But thinking about 'comfort', I felt myself stain his haori as my tears I am trying to hide finally fell.
Yet I didn't let out a sound.
I just let the tears express the emotion I am feeling right now.
It hurts...
It really does...
I felt his hand slowly raise to gently caress my hair that made me snuggle deeper in his shoulder. My actions made him put his hand on my head to keep me still.
"What's wrong?" He ask in a whisper that made me want to just broke down sobbing.
Why am I crying? Do I have the rights to even cry for my one-sided love at him?
"Y/n" he called for my name again when he notice my body was staring to tremble as I try to prevent my cries from being heard.
"I don't know why I love you" I cried out as I pulled away and covered my face with my palm.
"I want to remove those feelings for you because it hurts" I continue as I tried my best to breath.
"I don't want to keep loving you"
"Y/n"
I remove my hands from my face as I let the tears freely fall on my cheeks as I put my eyes on our surrounding, except for him.
Because I can't face him.
"She is perfect for you. You both look so perfect that made me almost forget I used to be there. I was the one who used to be beside you" I stated between quick inhales like I was barely able to breath.
"I just wish for our memories to disappear like bubble so it wouldn't hurt-" I put my hands on my head in frustration as I uttered those words but I felt his hands on top of mine when he heard me let out those words.
"Y/n please"
"Why do you need to abandon me!" I cried out as I can't keep to myself the feeling I felt for almost a year.
Those days made me feel so lonely and useless. It showed me how much I reached in life.
"I..." I trailed off as I felt him pull my body towards him as he surrounded his haori on my trembling body.
"I felt so lonely" I sobbed out as I felt his arms around me tighten as he just let me cry on his shoulders.
"I never wished to be somebody else until you chose her" I keep letting out the thoughts that keep repeating in my head on those periods of time. The thoughts that ruined the love I have for myself.
"I'm trying my best, I really am" I whispered as he tightened his arms around me.
"You have no idea..."
He shushed me down when we both started to notice how my words are getting more breathless the more I talk.
"Deep breaths"
I clutch my eyes shut as I felt it sting a little. I finally snuggled myself more on his embrace as I tried to control my emotions.
"Is this friendship, still surviving?" I ask him as I look at his own eyes that made him lean his forehead on mine.
"Of course. More than you thought"
~•°•~
"Did you really leave me?" I asked him the question that needed an answer while I stared at his back as he looked at the scenery from my window.
"No"
"But ever since she arrived, I can't remember any day that you were with me"
My body felt more relaxed now but the slight feeling of numbness on my chest is still present as I found him making his way over to my bed.
"I'm sorry" he sat beside me as he pulled my head to rest on his shoulder.
"I was not aware of how wrong I treated you" he mumbled as my eyes softened from his words.
"I wanted you to learn to protect yourself. I didn't mean to make you measure your worth just because of my expectations."
I felt Kaburamaru slither around my neck as his owner ran his fingers on my hair to soothe my emotions down.
"I was not confident that I could protect you. I'm sorry that I pressured you into something that is not your forte."
I removed my head from his shoulder as I lay down on my bed when the fatigue, physically and mentally, finally entered my system.
"But why didn't you spend time with me anymore?" I asked him as I put my hand above his own ones as I heard him sigh.
"Hashira has tight schedules. We always need to train and go to missions. When I saw you cry while I was training you, I decided to not continue and let you do the usual things you did before"
He started as I saw him look over to me. I felt him squeeze my hand that made me look up to him with my drowsy eyes.
"I didn't manage to make time for you"
I heard how his voice broke from that sentence as he give a quick grip on my hand before letting it loose.
"Mitsuri is a hashira so I need to be with her. But of course, that can't be my reason, right?" He looks over to me as I lift a small smile, urging him to continue.
"But she was the only one willing to be in my presence and I let her. I started to miss you but I can't find you anywhere. And if I did, you are urgently helping shinobu at the mansion"
"Maybe that's why I treated her less harshly than the others" he sighed out.
"But it doesn't mean I love her like how I love you" I felt my chest warmed from his words that I almost forgot what I went through.
But I need more reasons. And without being told on, he keeps going. He is not defending himself, he was simply expressing because he knows I would understand him.
"It was my fault that I made you feel that way. It dawned on me that I really don't know you" he whispered as I saw how his eyes softened.
"I never had someone cherish me more than themself"
A tear fell from his eyes as he wiped it before gazing at me.
"Give me another chance to treat you right. I promise, I'll be better"
I sat up on the bed as I rested my chin on his shoulder. "Did you romantically like her?"
"No" he answered without any hesitation that made me wrap my arms around his waist.
"Even if I did, she would just remind me of you. After all, you were the one I was scared to lose"
"I'm sorry" he mumbled that made me lift a small smile on my lips.
"Make time for me please. Being a Hashira made you lose time for me" I uttered as he wrapped his arm around my waist before pulling me closer to him.
"I will give you my time" he assured me that made me smile and land a quick peck on his cheeks before I laid down again.
"Stay with me tonight. I want to cherish this moment with you" I told him that made him let out a small smile, based from his eyes before I pull him to my bed and he wasted no time to wrap his arms around me.
I am finally back at his arms again...

New Year, New Mistakes
Y/N is attending her best friend’s new year eves party, where she meets Harry, who seems like quite an asshole if she should say so herself. But she goes home with him anyways, because even though he is an arrogant son of a bitch, we still like him.
Pairing: Y/N & Harry
Warnings: Annoying harry;) Smut ft. Kitchen sex. Unprotected sex! pls don’t do that irl.
Wordcount: 7902
Hope you enjoy!
And Happy New Years.
Tumblr media
Joining the new year, a lot of people choose to live by the words “new year, new me”.
You’d lived through enough New Year Eves to know, that promise was a load of crap. Because let’s face it, nobody changes over night. No, that happens through lots of commitment, hard work, consistency, and motivation. It can take months, years, and that’s if you even change at all.
Nevertheless, you found yourself standing out on the balcony of your best friend’s apartment, unnecessarily loud music and people shouting from the party going on behind you, promising yourself just that. New year, new you.
You looked over the many city lights flickering in front of you, joined by an illuminated sky above filled with fireworks in every colour imaginable and various shapes. A glass of champagne rested in your right hand while your left clenched around the cold iron railing. You took a deep breath as you heard the countdown beginning.
“TEN, NINE, EIGHT”
This was it, the final seconds of a year you honestly thought would never end.
“SEVEN, SIX, FIVE”
The final seconds before a whole new year opened in front of you, laying like white, fresh, untread snow at your feet.
“FOUR, THREE, TWO.”
The final second before a new chance at being you.
“ONE! HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
You couldn’t help but smile at the many euphoric voices erupting behind you. Lifting the glass of champagne to your lips, you whispered a happy new year Y/N, before downing the whole thing.
Soon after a sudden blow came from behind, pushing you further into the railing, and two arms squeezed around your stomach, inviting you into their warm embrace.
“Happy new year, to my favourite person in the whole world.” Nora’s sweet voice whispered into your ear, before you felt a kiss on your left cheek.
“Happy new year to my second favourite person in the whole world.” You whispered back to her, chuckling when you saw the much-expected pout on her face.
“Heeey, who beat me?” she whined.
You shrugged before casually explaining. “You know no one compares to Keanu Reeves, honey. I’m sorry.”
Nora retracted herself, to stand beside you. “No, I know. I don’t know what in the world I was thinking, silly me.” she sighed defeatedly. “At least I’m second.”
“And nobody could ever beat you to that, I promise.” You smiled, kissing her on the cheek as well, returning the sweet gesture.
“What are you doing out here all alone? It’s freezing.”
It was freezing indeed, and your little red satin dress was not doing a great job at keeping you warm. But what did that matter when you at least looked hot.
“I just needed to gather my thoughts a bit, I guess.”
“I’m sorry if I ruined a moment hon, like if you just wanted to start the new year by yourself?” Nora said, grabbing your hand that was still holding the railing. You turned it so you could intertwine your fingers with hers.
“I think I more so wanted to end the old year by myself, rather than I wanted to start the new year by myself. You know your company is always welcome.”
“Yeah, I know.” She assured, squeezing your hand a bit tighter.”
“NORA, JIMMY IS THROWING UP!”
You both turned to look through the glass sliding doors that opened into the apartment.  Your mutual friend Hannah was mushed up against them, banging on the glass with her hand, desperately trying to get Nora’s attention.
Nora chuckled, while slightly shaking her head, at the mentioning of her boyfriend already being sick so early in the party.
“I swear to god I should’ve made a bet with someone about this” she muttered, before making her way back into the living room.
You wished her good luck to which she turned around and blew you a kiss, closing the sliding door behind her.
You got lost in your thoughts again, enchanted by the fireworks and the champagne having gotten to your head. You failed to notice another person joining you on the balcony, until they spoke up beside you.
“You fancy a cigarette?”
You jumped a little, startled by the unexpected approach. The first thing you saw as you looked in the direction of the voice, was a worn pack of cigarettes presented in front of you by a hand with a little cross at the thumb. You looked further up, following the tuxedo covered arm all the way up to the face of the man who had appeared.
A slight smirk was visible on his lips, probably amused by your reaction. His eyes scanned over your face, as you looked back, scanning over his as well.
After a couple of seconds his right eyebrow raised, a silent reminder about the question you yet hadn’t answered, and his hand impatiently shook the pack still held out in front of him.
“Oh, no, no thank you,” You shook your head “I don’t smoke.”
“All right,” he said, putting the pack up to his mouth, grabbing one of the cigarettes between his lips, pulling it out. “Just for me then,” He muttered, making the cigarette now caught between his lips tilt slightly as he spoke. He took a lighter from his front pocket, flexing his jaw as he concentrated on lighting the smoke, a satisfying puff leaving him as he succeeded, replacing both items back in the same pocket.
You looked away from him again, needing to focus on something else, as you were sure you’d never seen anyone smoking a cigarette making it that attractive.
You were quiet for a while, as he seemed to be enjoying the view as well. The fireworks had died down a bit more, but still appeared occasionally. Your thoughts were going a mile an hour. Had he been wanting to be alone out here just like you had? Did he want you to leave but was just too polite to say it? Would it be awkward if you just left without saying anything? Should you introduce yourself?
What a great way to be a “new you” this year Y/N, not at all awkward.
You were starting to get cold, feeling yourself shaking a bit, so you figured you might as well make your way inside before you got pneumonia. But the mystery man spoke up again before you could.
“This is going to sound so cliché.” He sighed, squinting his eyes, sounding tired of himself before he’d even finished what he was going to say, but turned to look at you and continued, nonetheless.
“But I can tell you’re freezing your ass off, so if you insist on staying out here, would you at least let me offer you, my jacket?”
His kind offer took you completely by surprise and for a couple of seconds you didn’t really know what to say as you yet hadn’t comprehended his words fully.
“I, uhm, that’s… that’s very kind of you. But… won’t, wont’ you be cold then?” You stammered, unsure of how to respond to such an offer from a stranger.
He chuckled at that, almost condescendingly. “Can’t be as much as you already are love.” He took another drag of the cigarette, once again waiting impatiently for you to answer. He seemed to be very impatient in general.
Something about his attitude provoked you though, and you thought it better not to make closer relations with him. New year, new you. You’d had enough of his kind in the past, enough of controlling men, enough of bad attitudes, enough of playboys.
“I’m fine, really. Thank you though.” You gritted, sending him a forced smile, hoping he would take the hint and leave you alone.
He didn’t.
“That was the wrong answer.”  He tutted, still a condescending tone hiding behind his words.
“Excuse me?” you turned your head to face him, no longer understanding the interaction you were having.
“See, I made it a question to be polite, because I don’t know you, but what I meant was this: You’re either going to put my jacket on, or I will, one, put it on you, for you, or two, carry you back inside.”
The pure audacity of this man was beyond you, and it honestly left you quite speechless. Who in the world did the think he was talking to you like that? You couldn’t tell if he was in fact serious or offended by your rejection. Maybe both.
“Is that a threat?” You asked, now having turned your body so you were facing him completely.
He rolled his eyes like it was the most ridiculous thing he’d ever heard, before mirroring your gesture. “Do you feel threatened?”
“More so, I feel offended. I’m a grown woman, I can make decisions for myself, thank you very much.”
“Apparently you can’t, since you’re out here about to pass out from hypothermia.” He muttered under his breath, keeping his voice annoyingly calm, even though you were about to rip your hair out from annoyance.
“And what if that is an active decision I’ve made, huh? What if I want to pass out from hypothermia?” You knew how you sounded, like a complete moron. But you needed to make a point, nonetheless.
“Well then you shouldn’t make decisions for yourself.” He hissed; a trace of frustration now distinguishable in his voice as well. He took a last puff of the cigarette before throwing it off the roof, keeping eye contact with you. “So, which will it be?”
“I think I’ll voluntarily go back inside if it means getting away from you.”
His eyebrows furrowed for only a second, before he nodded in approval.
You didn’t wait for him to say anything else, just turned around and stomped unnecessarily hard with your heels, getting away from him as fast as possible. You were equally annoyed at him for ruining your idyllic new year’s mood, equally annoyed at yourself for letting him patronize you like that.
You pushed the glass door to the side, treading into the warmth of the living room. The before muffled background noise, now became loud and clear. People dancing, singing along to the music, talking, the smell of liquor, beer and a dozen different perfumes all mixed together overwhelmed your senses, a complete contrast to the cold evening air and the occasional sound of fireworks. It didn’t take long for you to conclude, that you needed a drink.
“What did you and Harry talk about?” Nora asked, standing on the other side of the kitchen island, filled with various liquor bottles and mixer options, available to make just about every cocktail you could imagine.
She had finally convinced Jimmy it would be best if he went to bed, though he was adamant on staying up until midnight, to which Nora kindly so had to explain to him, baby, midnight was half an hour ago.
“So that’s his name. You know that asshole?” You asked, greatly occupied by debating whether or not you should poor more vodka into your glass.
“Honey, it’s my party. I invited him.”
You decided to poor more.
“So… what did you talk about?” she continued when you didn’t answer. You skimmed over her face quickly, barely lifting your head.
“Oh, come on!” Curiousness was evident in her eyes as she leaned on the table with both elbows, resting her head in her hands. “You were out there for quite a while; you must have talked about something? I know him well enough to know, that he couldn’t have resisted making a move on you.”
You put the bottle of tonic down, quietly cutting a lemon in half, squeezing the juice into your cocktail and stirred it around a bit, successfully having made a vodka tonic. You took a much-craved sip before answering.
“I think he most likely was trying to get rid of me. And he succeeded big time.”
“Was he that bad?”
“Very patronizing.”
“That’s just how he is. Harry’s very… bad-tempered and used to getting his way.” She reasoned.
“Someone should tell him not to be like that then. It’s very uncharismatic.” You said, which made Nora lose her smile.
“Look, he has had a very though youth, he doesn’t always really know how to interact with people. But he always means well. I promise.”
“How do you even know him?” You asked, curious as to why she was so keen on standing up for the guy.
“He’s my boss.”
You nearly spit out your drink.
“He’s what? Have I just talked that way to your boss?” You panicked, worried that you could get your best friend fired from how you’d treated him.
“Well, he is not directly my boss, only kind of. I mean, he technically owns the company that I run. But he rarely ever interferes with anything. He’s become my friend during the past couple of months, he has been getting a lot more involved actually.”
You didn’t think your eyes could widen any more, but even so, they did.
“Oh my god, I think I’m going to be sick. I talked to him like that, and he is your boss.” You whisper-yelled
While you were freaking out, Nora had walked around the kitchen island, making her way over to you. She laid a comforting hand on your back trying to get you to calm down.
“Honey, nothing justifies him disrespecting, I was just trying to give you an explanation for his behaviour because it seemed like you were looking for one.”
“Yeah, I guess I was. But I wasn’t counting on that. I should really apologize so you won’t get in trouble.” You managed to reason between erratic sips of your drink.
“No hey, you have nothing to apologize for, you didn’t know, you didn’t do anything wrong. Remember, new year, new you. Which includes to stop apologizing for things that doesn’t need to be apologized for.”
Nora had this way of being both unconditionally kind to even the biggest assholes, and simultaneously knowing how to stand up for herself (and the people she loves) in a very considerate way. She acknowledges that it isn’t always people’s own fault that they are assholes, but still doesn’t let them excuse any bad behaviour because of it. She was your role model.
“But go on, over to him. Ask him about it.” She urged, nodding in the direction of the balcony where he was still standing. He was leaning with his arms on the railing, head bend up towards the sky.
“Are you insane? I’m not going to go over to your boss and ask him about his troubled youth. Are you trying to get yourself fired?”
“I think he would love to talk to you.” She sang.
“And I think you’re drunker than I thought.”
“Suit yourself, you’re just postponing the inevitable.”
You were three vodka tonics in and had during the last hour or so subconsciously kept an eye on Harry. You weren’t trying to fool yourself; he was very pleasing to look at. And to your annoyance, something about him had piqued your interest. Maybe it was his impressive lack of communication skills, or let’s face it, his annoyingly handsome face, awakening a skin hunger within you.
You were still standing by the kitchen island with a few other people, having a clear view of the rest of the party going on in the living room. Harry was standing with a couple of guys you didn’t know but assumed worked at the same company as him and Nora. They seemed to be engaged in remote conversation while observing the game of beer pong being played.
Your eyes had only left his figure for a moment, to look down at your phone vibrating in your hand, notifying you that somebody had tagged you in a post on instagram, but when you looked up again, he was gone.
You stood bewildered for a few seconds, before a low voice whispered in your ear from behind, taking you by surprise.
“Bored?”
“God, you need to stop doing that.” You automatically clutched your hands over your chest, gazing sceptically at Harry who was now standing beside you.
“Sorry” He smiled sheepishly, an unexpectedly boyish look on his face. Was he… drunk?
“It’s okay.” You breathed, looking him over. He had taken his suit jacket off, leaving him in black trousers and a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, to your surprise revealing his left arm completely covered in various tattoos.
“So, are you?”
“Am I what?”
He rolled his eyes at your incomprehension “Bored.”
“A little bit maybe.” You shrugged. The party wasn’t that wild anymore, considering it peaked about an hour ago. Nora had gone to bed already, tired from planning the gathering all day.
“Come with me then.” Harry smiled, nodding his head toward the front door of the apartment, backing a few steps away from you.
You turned to face him.
“Where are we going?” You asked, squinting your eyes the slightest, curious about his sudden invitation.
He just looked at you, still a teasing smile playing on his lips.
“You’re not going to tell me, are you?”
“Clever girl.”
You sighed, an internal debate storming around in your head. And as if he could hear you, he asked, “Come on, what’s the worst that could happen?”
“You could turn out to be a psychopath and kill me.” You stated, knowing that was probably overacting a bit, but he did ask.
“I don’t need to be a psychopath to kill you.” He stated bluntly.
You couldn’t help but laugh at his apparent obliviousness to social interaction. “Was that supposed to be comforting?”
He considered for a moment, tilting his head to the side. “Did you find it comforting?”
A feeling of déjà vu overtook you, as this resembled your earlier conversation impressively much.
“Do you have any idea how annoying you are?”
“No, but if you come with me, I’ll let you educate me on the subject.” He suggested while holding out an awaiting hand for you to take, as if it was an offer, you wouldn’t be able to refuse.
Even though a part of you couldn’t help but scream that you were going to regret this, it was your first opportunity to live up to your damned “new year, new you” motto. Being more adventurous was at the top of your list for a reason. For a bit too long, you had found too much comfort in spending your nights alone on your sofa. And though there is nothing wrong with that, you found that the books you tend to get lost in all those nights, were about things just like this. Adventures, taking chances, finding romance in the least expected places, saying yes. Because there is always going to be another night you can spend alone in your pyjamas reading a book or watching a movie. But there is never going to be another night where you can say yes to the offer the man in front of you was making right now.
So, you did it. You reached out your hand, slowly laying it in his. A tingle went through your body at the feeling of his long fingers wrapping around your much smaller ones, letting him guide you to the front door of the apartment.
A pleased smile was apparent on his face, and briefly you considered changing your mind, just for the sake of provoking him and his habit of getting his way.
“Do you have a jacket?” He asked, reaching for his, which was hanging on the coat stand by the door.
“In my car.”
“Hmm,” he huffed hesitatingly. “Will you be good now, and let me give you mine then?”
“If you tell me where we’re going.” You tried to persuade, but the look on his face quickly told you, that no such thing was going to happen.
“You’re very hard to make compromises with, you know that?” You declared displeased.
“That’s because I don’t make compromises.” He grinned, satisfied with your compliance.
“How in the world do people work with you?” You asked, surprised how he could ever come to own a company, with that attitude.
“They don’t.” He stated, laying his large jacket around your shoulders, before opening the door gesturing for you to step out into the hallway first.
“They work for me.”
You still didn’t know where you were going, but you were for some reason following Harry blindly, despite his determination to withhold the destination from you, regardless of your many inquiries. You had walked for about five minutes, turning a few blocks here and there, that you didn’t recognise.
“Are you sure you aren’t cold?” You asked him again. It nearly pained you to see him walking around without a jacket on. You suggested that you could run to your car to get yours, but he said it didn’t matter.
He closed his eyes briefly, clearly annoyed by your worry about his wellbeing. You just didn’t understand how it was better that he died of hypothermia instead of you.
“Could you at least roll your sleeves down?”
“If you ask me one more time I swear to god.”
“You’re going to what? Kill me?” You teased. In the short time you’d spent together you quickly learned that tormenting him was quite fun.
“Don’t tempt me.” He warned.
“Oh, come on Harry, you’re not as intimidating as you want to seem. I bet there is a big old softie hidden beneath that exterior. Like a proper cliché.”
He furrowed his eyebrows at your apparent observation. “What makes you say that?”
You held your point finger up in front of you, before stating, “First of all, your refusal to let me go anywhere outside without a jacket on, very gentleman of you even though it can seem quite patronizing. Second, if Nora likes you, you must be somewhat of a good guy. She’s very picky with who she calls friends.”
He seemed to consider your words for a moment, not immediately pleased by them.
For a few minutes neither of you said anything, you just walked in silence. The streets were unusually empty, every person in the city probably occupied by their own new years party. Occasionally you walked past someone, or a car drove by. Loud music and happy cheering also appeared from various apartments or houses along the small side streets you were wandering along.
“So, Nora told me that you’ve had a troubled youth.” It was the only subject that crossed your mind, and she had suggested that you asked him about it.
He side-glanced at your comment. “Did she now.”
“Yes. She said that’s why you can seem very bad-tempered and doesn’t know how to communicate with people.”
Okay some part of you was trying to piss him off, get the upper hand for a bit.
“Are you always this unfiltered to speak with?”
“Well, you aren’t exactly making conversation yourself, it was the only thing I could think of.”
He scoffed at your words; with a disbelieving look on his face. “Really? The only thing, you could think to talk about. Out of all the things in the world?”
You held your hands up in self-defence “Alright, maybe I am curious about the strange man I’m impulsively following in the middle of the night to God knows where. Is that so wrong?”
“I’m not a strange man.”  He grumbled.
“You’re not a known man either. Not to me.”
He didn’t say anything, and you didn’t speak again either, not wanting to press him to talk about the subject if he didn’t want to.
“I did.” He admitted after a while. “I did, have a troubled youth. I went to jail for a while.” He was looking straight ahead down the road, as if he didn’t dare to turn and see your reaction.
“For what?” You asked timidly.
“It was stupid. I owed this guy some money because… well because I didn’t have a lot of money. Turns out he was a part of a gang and when he found out I couldn’t pay him back, he made me make it up to him.”
He glanced at you briefly, and you nodded for him to continue. He sighed.
“He had me do different small crimes, like selling cocaine, weed. Breaking into some houses.”
“Small crimes?”
“Compared to what he did, they were small yes. He called them the easy jobs. But somehow the cops got a sniff of him, his gang and everyone involved with them. They ransacked my apartment where they of course found drugs. Luckily, I only went to jail for a year because I testified against him. He got ten.” His shoulders fell down with the last word, like he was relieved he was done telling the story.
“How did you come to own a company then?”
His lips showed a small smile at your question. “A kind man believed that I truly wanted to get out of the mess I was in. He believed in me, which, uhm… yeah, which made me believe in myself, I guess. He was the owner of the company. He died a year ago, left it all to me.”
“Wow,” You breathed.
“Yeah, I couldn’t quite believe it myself.”
Harry slowed down, before coming to a complete halt in front of a large, white apartment building.
“We’re here.” He announced, making you turn your head from the building to him in confusion.
You didn’t know what you’d expected, but it wasn’t this.
“What is here exactly?”
“My, uhm, my apartment.” Harry shyly admitted, closely studying your face to see your reaction. Frankly you didn’t know how you even should react.
“You brought me to your apartment?”
“Yeah, I guess.” He sighed, scratching the back of his neck, looking very timid. In complete contrast to the Harry, you’d met two hours ago.
You couldn’t help but smile at his foolishness. “Why didn’t you just ask me if I wanted to go home with you?”
“Would you have said yes?”
You hesitated a bit too long for him to believe that you would have agreed. But the truth was, that your mind couldn’t compose a thought coherent enough for you to even imagine the scenario of him asking you to go home with him, which made it even that harder to figure out if you would’ve in fact said yes or not.
“My point.” He stated when you still hadn’t answered.
“But how is this better? How do you know I’m not just going to turn around and walk back now?” You asked, trying to understand his supposed plan.
“First of all,” he began, looking serious as ever while holding up a finger, imitating what you had done earlier. “You’re not going to walk anywhere at this time of night. If you want to go, I will get you a cab. Second of all,” he paused, taking a step closer to you, “do you want to go?”
“No” You surprised yourself at your admission. His attitude had apparently grown on you.
The slightest smile played on his lips, the glint in his eyes had returned at his newfound confidence of your willingness to stay with him.
“I’m glad.” He nodded. The confession surprised you as it was the most gratitude, he had shown all evening.
Harry’s apartment was no smaller than huge. In size, it fitted the description of a company owner very much. In interior, not so much. It wasn’t what you’d normally expect from a young, single man either. The living room was surprisingly colorful, as opposed to the black, white, and grey colour scheme you found their apartments were usually limited to. He had a wall in the living room solely occupied by bookcases filled to the rim with books, expect for the bottom shelves which were dedicated to probably the largest collection of vinyl records you’d ever seen. The apartment was kind of messy, but in an organized and cozy way, because it didn’t look like it was because he was too lazy to clean up, it just looked like he had too many things to find room for them anywhere else.
“Would you like something?” He asked from behind you.
You turned around to see him standing with one shoulder leaning against the entrance to the kitchen.
“I have water, wine, or I can make us a drink if you want that. You can have anything you want.” He offered.
“Wine would be great.” You answered, walking over to join him in the kitchen, which was nearly as large as the living room.
“Why did you decide to take me home with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, I wasn’t necessarily nice to you.”
He seemed to consider for a moment while fetching two glasses from one of the ridiculously many cupboards and opening a bottle of wine.
“Nora has talked about you a lot, she really adores you. I find you interesting… and beautiful. Isn’t that reason enough?”
“Nora talks about me?” You asked shyly, trying to ignore the compliments he just gave you. It made the butterflies in your stomach wake up.  “Every. Day.” he enunciated, to emphasise just how much. “Why did you want to come with me?” He reciprocated the question.
You didn’t have to tell him it was because you found him unusually attractive since the small smile he absentmindedly had on his face while he poured you both a glass of wine, told you that he already knew that. He walked over to you with both glasses in his hands, handing you one. You appreciatively accepted it and sat yourself down on one of the barstools at the kitchen counter. Harry remained standing opposite you.
“You know, the last thing I promised myself tonight, before the new year began, was that I would stop making mistakes like these. Same old mistakes.” You blurted out to him. You didn’t really know where that confession came from. Maybe it was the alcohol.
Harry froze in his actions. “I’m a mistake?”
You took a sip of wine, shrugging your shoulders. “No not you per se, I just had too many bad experiences, I guess.”
“Experiences?”
“I haven’t been that lucky with guys. I’ve had a tendency to attract idiots and selfish pricks.”
He raised his eyebrows at that, surprised by your choice of words.
“God no, I’m not calling you a selfish prick. Oh, that sounded so wrong. You’re not a selfish prick, I’m sorry. I like you, in fact, I just…I just promised myself not to go home with guys like this anymore, since it rarely has ended up being a good experience.”
“Hmm, I’ll definitely have to make up for that.” He smirked.
“It’s not your fault other guys are assholes.” You sighed, putting both your hands over your face to momentarily hide from his stare, it seemed able to look right through you and into your brain sometimes. Very invading.
Harry put his glass down on the counter and made his way over to stand in front of you. He placed his hands on your waist and turned your body in the chair to face him, tilting his head to the side.
“Y/N?” He whispered, sounding a lot more serious than seconds before, squeezing your waist lightly to get your attention. You removed your hands, making your features visible to him again and leaned your head back so you could look him properly in the eyes, a slight hint of nervousness running through you at his sudden change in demeanour.
“I’m sorry for earlier.” He said, tone still so gentle that you’d had to be as close as you were to hear him clearly. Genuine concern was in his eyes.
You tilted your head to the side as if indicating that you didn’t know what he was talking about, though you had a slight suspicion.
He sighed and continued.
“On the balcony. It wasn’t a very good first impression. When you said it had felt patronizing, I…I don’t want to be like that. Men like that aren’t, they aren’t nice. So, yeah, I’m sorry for that.” He sounded out of breath as the last word left him, almost like it was physically hard for him to admit that.
“It’s okay Harry, don’t worry about it. I was pissed yeah, but now I know you didn’t mean any harm by it.” You soothed.
He looked relieved by your forgiveness, the crease between his eyebrows lessened.
“It’s just, I’m not always very good… at… expressing myself properly.”
“You don’t say.” You chuckled amused by the timid state he was in.
He huffed at your teasing. “You make it very hard to be kind to you sometimes.”
“Mmmh, what else do I make hard?” You asked clearly surprising him. A blush crept onto his cheeks making your insides do a little jump. You liked having this effect on him, liked making him flustered.
“You are going to be the death of me, you know.” He ran his hands frustratedly over his face and up through his hair. “This is not good for my ego at all. I’m apologizing and everything.”
You couldn’t help but snicker at that. “Oh please, I beg to differ! I think it’s exactly what your ego needs Mr. people don’t work with me, they work for me. Being humbled a bit could do you good.”
“I thought about something?” He changed the subject.
“What?”
“If you’re tired of making the same old mistakes, which by any means is fair, maybe I could be your new mistake then, yeah?” He charmed, undoubtedly knowing how cheesy that sounded. Nevertheless, it worked, which he undoubtedly also knew.
“I think I would like that a lot actually.”
“You would?”
“Very.”
“And you know, the way I see it, you’re technically not breaking your resolution.” A proud look was on his face, as if he had just discovered the greatest loophole of all time.
“Oh my god harry, you’re so smart. No wonder you own a company. I bet every girl just wants to fuck the shit out of you.” You feigned in a fake high pitched voice.
He squinted his eyes together in annoyance over your mocking.
“Not every girl,” he said, running his hand up and down your side. “But luckily for me, you do want to fuck the shit out me, no?” He asked, eyes sparkling with curiousness as to what your answer would be. His words send a chill down your spine.
“Something like that.”  You confirmed.
His eyes glazed over with something else for a moment, concentratedly following the movement of his hand which reached up to replace a strand of your hair.
“You are really beautiful.” He said, and you couldn’t help but laugh. You’ve never seen someone go from sexual deviant to adorable puppy so quickly before.
“Why are you laughing at me?” He pouted.
“I’m not,” You assured. “But thank you, I think you’re beautiful as well.”
The sweetest, boyish smile erupted on his face, and you could’ve sworn you even saw a blush creep up on his cheeks. “Really?” He asked.
“Harry, you’re one of the prettiest human beings I’ve ever laid eyes on.”
Slowly he leaned in and pressed his lips against yours. All teasing had disappeared, like he was sincerely thanking you with a kiss.
In a swift second it was as if all self-discipline left both your bodies. Like that single little kiss ignited a fire within you and no amount of water was enough to put it out again before you both had burst into flames.
The kiss got more heated, your mouths opened up to each other, intertwining your tongues in a choreographed dance that seemed so natural and familiar, like you had rehearsed it for years. Your hands ran up his arms, lingering on his biceps to feel the muscles contracting underneath your palms, as he squeezed at your sides to keep you still. You ran them further up to his shoulders, behind his neck, finally finding rest in his soft curls pulling at them the slightest, making a satisfied groan escape his mouth and disappear into yours.
He ran his hand further down your side, on a determined path towards the edge of your dress. “Is this okay darling?” He asked, as his fingers found your inner thigh, drawing soothing circles with his thumb.
“Yes.” You nearly whined, fervently nodding your head for him to continue, scooting to the edge of your seat to get him closer. At your approval he moved further up your leg, towards your burning core, fingertips lightly dancing over your sensitive skin leaving goosebumps in their trail. He acted at an agonizingly slow pace, as if teasing both himself and you. A hiss left him when he felt over the small damp spot left on your panties. Finally, he pushed the fabric of your underwear aside, coming skin to skin with your damp pussy.
“Need to have you all warm and ready.” He whispered in your ear beginning to move his fingers in hypnotizing circles. One of your hands went to grip his shoulder, steadying yourself against him, otherwise you were sure you’d fall over. He reached his other arm to wrap completely around your waist, helping you staying vertical as well.
Just as he pushed a finger inside, he leaned down to kiss you again gladly swallowing down your moan. It didn’t take long for you to be wet enough for him to insert another, making you clench your legs together in pleasure.
“Does That feel good angel?” He began to thrust them into you harder, curling them at just the right angle.
“Am- amazing.” You managed to reassure between unstable breaths.
“Doing so well for me,” He soothed while those talented fingers of his were working magic with you writhing in his hold.
“Harry,” you whined not being able to take his teasing anymore.
“What is it love?”
“If… if you keep doing that, I’m-” You let out a squeak, as he moved his fingers even faster against you.
“You’re what?” He taunted, knowing exactly what you were about to say. You could just make out the cocky smirk evident on his lips.
“I’m going to come Harry, please.”
He abruptly stilled his fingers against your burning core. “Oh, I can’t have you coming just yet darling.”
You just about fell flat against his chest, completely out of breath, a noise of complete despair leaving you.
“What do I do with you now?” He pondered.
You felt like you could rip your hair out. This man was making you crazy, and he knew it. Asshole. He took a small step back to look at you and his eyes became even more overflooded with lust, as he observed the state, he’d managed to put you in.
You were still breathing heavily, and you were certain you looked completely gone already.
Your hands seemed to have a mind of their own when they impulsively started untucking his shirt from his trousers, quickly working your fingers over the many buttons.
To your great enjoyment, even more tattoos awaited underneath the shirt. Like a child opening a present, you ripped it off his shoulders, eager to explore the new skin revealed to you.
He watched you with adoration, as he let you trace your fingers over the many drawings covering his abdomen, chest, and collarbones.
“Enjoying yourself?” He asked after a while, a little smile threatening on his lips.
“Very.” You answered, though without even stopping to look up at him, enchanted by the view.
“Well,” He stopped you reaching up to caress the palm of his hand over your cheek.
“I think it’s time to do something proper about that ache between your pretty little thighs angel.”
You leaned into his touch, a please automatically leaving your lips.
He showed off a cocky grin, gripping your waist again with both hands, urging you to stand. You obediently let him guide you to turn around, until you were facing the kitchen counter.
“Better get this off you now, think I’ve waited long enough to get a look at what’s hidden underneath.”
You felt him running his fingers under the two thin straps of your dress resting on each shoulder. He let them fall down the side of your arms, and you lifted your arms out of them, making the dress fall elegantly to the floor, pooling at your feet, leaving you only in a set of lace panties and your heels.
Briefly, you felt a rush of vulnerability threatening your body telling you to cover yourself up again.
But that was until you felt Harrys hands on you. He touched you so delicately, like you were a vase about to break in his hold. And it was as if with each touch, he dusted the feeling off more and more, until it was completely gone, flowing silently away in the air.
You relaxed into him, letting him caress and explore your body how he pleased. Running his hands up your bare stomach, massaging each of your breasts attentively, humming at the feeling your nipples hardening underneath his fingertips. He ran them further up, drawing along the outline of your collarbones, circling over your shoulders and down your back, lastly resting them on your ass, indulging the way it felt to squeeze it in his grasp. He wrapped the waistband of your panties around his fingers, sneaking them down your legs, letting them land right on top of your dress.
You had barely even noticed the small sounds of pleasure you’d expressed, until you felt one of his hands had unoccupied itself from your behind, coming up to delicately wrap around your throat.
“You’re making being self-disciplined very difficult on me.” His voice was hoarse, strained, sending a chill down your body.
“Then don’t be.”
His hand tightened at your words, just enough to make you a bit lightheaded.
“You’re such an eager little thing. Bet you can’t wait till you’re full of me, can you darling.”
He moved his hand around to push at the back of your neck, bending you over the counter. You unconsciously started to grind against his front, feeling the outline of his cock through his trousers, and it was absolutely sending you.
“Harry, need it,” You cried.
“I know baby, I know.” You could hear him hurrying to undo his trousers, pulling them halfway down his legs along with his underwear, too impatient to take them off all the way.
You felt him lining up behind you, running his tip between your soaked folds a few times.
You involuntarily winced at the sensitivity.
“You alright baby?” He sweetly whispered, halting the movements.
“Yes, please.”
With that affirmation he gently thrusted into you, a sensual moan erupting from deep within his chest while doing so. You could listen to that sound on repeat forever.
“You feel s-so good love, all warm and tight for me.”
He leaned over you on the counter, reaching his arms out in front you to grab your hands in his, engulfing you completely beneath him; all your senses were entirely focused on him as he filled you up.
He started rocking even harder against you, hitting that perfect spot every time.
“Fucks sake, you feel so good Y/N, I don’t think I’ve ever been inside someone as delicious as you. You’re taking me so well.” He whispered in your ear, the words were going straight to your core, getting you there faster than you thought possible. One of his hands slid determinately down your body, straight to your clit, rubbing it in that perfect way. You could barely even touch yourself this good.
“I need to hear you Y/N, talk to me.”
And as much as you tried to tell him how good he made you feel, how much you loved it, how turned on you were, the man currently pounding furiously into you, had rendered you speechless. You opened your mouth hoping a coherent sentence would somehow form, but only noises of pleasure seemed able to escape your vocal cords.
“Mmmh have I made you lose your ability to talk now? Am I fucking you that good? You’ve just become a cockhungry little thing for me, is that it?”
Another filthy moan escaped you at his words. That mouth was astonishingly skilled. He could win Britain’s Got talent with that mouth.
“God love, you should see yourself. So pretty and desperate for me. I can feel you dripping down my hand, I’m making a proper mess of you.” His fingers were still teasing around your bud, shivers going down your spine every time he hit that perfect spot inside of you.
“Well, you’re making a mess of me as well darling, don’t know how I’ll ever be able to think about anything else.” The words seemed to be flowing from his mouth like a sinful waterfall.
“Yeah, that’s it, give it to me darling,” He encouraged you and began to move faster and harder, chasing his own release as well.
“I can feel you clenching around me love.”
And just like before, you squirmed and sobbed beneath him, the same satisfactory bliss beginning to take over your body once again, though this time, he didn’t stop. No, he continued, rocking you through your high. Euphoria rushed through your every vessel, every nerve, filling up your blood stream making it feel like it was about to boil over, and burst out of you.
It didn’t take much longer before he was coming as well. He squeezed his arm around your waist slowing down his pace, as you felt him spill inside of you, filling you up with every drop, until he carefully halted his movements completely.
You stayed standing like that for a while, just breathing against each other. Harry moved his head to the crook of your neck, placing small kisses of affirmation there.
You sighed beneath him at the feeling; your brain caught in a post-orgasmic bliss.
After a while he attentively turned you around in his hold.
“You’re amazing.” He said. You shook your head dismissing his compliment.
“I mean it.” He continued. “That was beyond any sex I’ve ever had.”
Blushing at his words, you hid your face in his chest, making a low chuckle erupt from him.
“Me too.” You confirmed. “It was incredible”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
An overly excited smile overtook his face, making his dimples endlessly deep. He leaned down to kiss your forehead.
“Come on let’s get you cleaned up and then get to bed.” He said, pulling your hand a little to get you to follow him. But you didn’t follow.
“You want me to stay over?”
“Of course, I want you to stay over. I haven’t even tasted you yet. Figured that was a morning sex in the shower kind of thing, no?”
You pushed his chest at his teasing words, but he caught your hand instead and pulled it up to his lips, giving it a quick peck.
“Harry that’s not fair. You can’t make me wet again already after you just screwed my brains out like that.”
“Well, you’re making me hard again, just by saying that I’m making you wet, and that’s not fair either I think.” He snickered, as he tugged at your hand once again. You let yourself be dragged along this time.
“God, you’re incorrigible.”

Your blog is amazing and your fics will probably be the death of me at some point, they're so well-written though I just can't stop reading them!
I gotta say Larissa being a mother figure to her students has a special place in my heart, I need more of that and I was wondering if you could maybe write Larissa x student! reader who hates their shapeshifting powers? They struggle to see their abilities as anything other than a burden because questioning your sense of self can be pretty challenging and « Who am I ? » is one hell of a tricky question when there’s an endless sea of people you can turn into.
Finding Yourself
Larissa Weems x student!reader
Authors Note: This idea is incredible. Thank you for this.
Tumblr media
“I was told to come have a little chat with you…” Principal Weems found you in the library, curled up with a book you could care less about. She pulled a chair next to yours, taking a seat and crossing her legs, “How are you, Mx. L/n?”
You stare silently at her, biting the inside of your cheek. Your roommate and dorm mother had told you to talk to Principal Weems about your abilities, but frankly you didn’t even know what to say.
“I’ve heard… that you are struggling with your powers.” Larissa pushed forward a little bit, shifting to sit on the edge of her chair, “Would you like to talk about it?”
You take a deep breath, hating how forced this conversation felt, “I don’t want to be a shapeshifter. I- It just makes life so much harder.”
Principal Weems smiled at you. It was a smile built from the painful memories in which she had thought and felt the same things, “It does. Doesn’t it?”
“How do I choose who I am? I can be anyone. Not to mention there is a million people asking me to be a million things. Do you know how many time people ask me to turn into celebrities or teachers?” You tuck the book in between yourself and the chair, really digging into the meat of what upset you so much.
“The good news is you never have to pick who you want to be. You will grow up and change and fall in love and change and work and change and grow old and change. Change is inevitable,” Principal Weems was so intentional in the way she spoke, making every work count, “Never feel like you have to choose.”
“How did you find yourself?”
“It took some growing pains. A few bad relationships with people who wanted me for anything but myself,” Larissa tried not to get too into it, but wanted to be forthright, “I realized that even with my powers… I like my normal form the best. I don’t really shape-shift more than I have to. Just because we all have gifts and abilities, doesn’t mean we have to use them.”
“So I’m back to where I started. I can be anyone… Why be myself?”
“I must admit you are asking questions for a philosopher and I am a mere principal, but I will say that you should want to be you because you have to live with you for the rest of your life. We sometimes take into account what others think we should be rather than who we really are.” Larissa leaned back in her armchair and looked out the window.
“How do I find myself and who I want to be?” You were liking her advice. She was genuine and seemed to be honest if anything.
“Again with the tough questions. I would recommend trying things. Try new styles and being friends with new people. Try new clubs and classes. We can only find ourselves by experiencing what the world has to offer. You don’t have to know who you are today or tomorrow or the next day. That’s what high school is for. Hell, I’m 44 and I still sometimes think, Larissa, what are you doing with your life? Is this really who you are?”
You laugh at the final thought she added, “Can we talk more about this? Maybe in a couple weeks when I have time to try some new things?”
“Absolutely. You stop by my office whenever you want.” Larissa stood, opening her arms, “Now come here, give me a hug to end this philosophical therapy session.”
You stand with a smirk and lean into her embrace, enjoying the comfort of someone who knows exactly what you are going through, “Thank you, Principal Weems.”

Another - Rio x F! Reader Part 2
Tumblr media
When Emma chooses another, Rio has to go home without her... But there's more awaiting him than just forgotten memories...
Themes: hurt and healing, facing the past, learning to love again, aka angst with a happy ending!
Warnings: angst, Rio route spoilers, eventual smut, written from Rio's POV
Part 1
You had wondered now and then.
As memories of your identity had begun to resurface, being betrothed was an obvious possibility for a prince. However, after having received the items found with you that rainy day, you dismissed the idea. The ring was never meant for a lover. No sentimental memorabilia lay tucked into the pockets of your long-forgotten coat.
Surely, had you a wife you would at least remember. Or so you assumed. Very incorrectly it appears.
The first question that comes to mind is not why you can't recall her, but why your ass of a brother never mentioned her. The answer wells up as swiftly as the anger surging within — because having mistresses is not only normal, it is expected. The one who brought you into this very world was your father's mistress. There was never any reason for Silvio to comment on your loyalty, or lack there of.
When your vision at last returns to perceiving the outside world, you are met with a brave face. Tears run down her youthful cheeks, yet she smiles to hide the heart you have broken.
“It does not matter, Your Majesty. That His Highness has returned safely is the only important part. I am sure there will be many more years ahead to make new memories than remedy the few we have left behind.”
A hand slips from yours to rest gently on the young woman's shoulder before your mother introduces her as if you are complete strangers.
When you were but eighteen she was brought to court to be an attendant to one of the late queen’s many ladies in waiting. She worked her way up through the ranks over the years, eventually earning her position as maiden in waiting to the second lady of the house — your mother.
At the time your mother was still mistress to the king and you an illegitimate bastard. Even if treated as a prince, naturally there was no chance of you being wed to a legitimate princess of another country. As both the daughter of a dear friend and being from a noble merchant family it was a favourable arrangement for all.
You grew up anticipating such a union, yet you still managed to forget.
“There is someone else you should meet, Valerio. One you'll be forgiven for not recognizing,” you mother finishes with a tender smile.
A subtle nod from her in the direction of the maid standing by the door. A deep breath from the lady you have just been told is your wife. A click, footsteps, and a nurse carrying a little girl no more than two.
Voice as sweet as a songbird she chirps, “Mammina!” and reaches out from the nurse's arms to be held by the one she clearly adores.
Those brilliant hues soften. The tears from earlier nowhere to be seen. Disappointment and heartache have been replaced by love and affection.
“Questo è tuo papà, piccina mia,” you hear her coo at the child before directing her gaze to you.
“Papà?” the little girl repeats, blinking at you with bright blue eyes identical to your own.
“Sì, papà,” her mother answers softly with a smile.
At this the small creature reaches out towards you with tiny hands.
“What does she want?” you ask cautiously.
“To be loved by her father…” your mother answers instead.
Steadying your heart with a shakey breath, you open your arms to the child. She leans in eagerly, climbing into your embrace. She is far heavier than you imagined for being so small. Tiny arms cling to your neck in a surprisingly strong chokehold. The world's softest skin rubs against yours where her chubby cheek nuzzles into you.
“Does she have a name…?” you query like an idiot after what seems an eternity of silence.
“Valerie, for her father…” a nervous voice tells you. “I hope you don't mind. She was all I had left of you after you disappeared… By the time she was born we all thought you would never return, so we named her after you…”
Shaking your head what little you can under the vice grip, a smile steals across your lips and a whispered thank you slips past.
Popping out from beneath your chin, the little girl squeaks, “Gioca con me, papà!”
“No, no, bambina. Papà is busy. We shouldn't bother him…” her mother fusses, a fear stricken look in her eyes as she reaches out to take the child back.
You can only imagine how you must have treated her in your past life to earn such an anxious reaction.
“It's okay…” you counter as tenderly as you can and keep the girl in your arms. Patting her little head you continue, “The least I can do after being absent so long is play with Valerie… Shall we go for a walk in the gardens perhaps? There is much we should discuss.”
Some gentle reassurance seems needed from your mother to convince the young lady she is not a burden. The weak smile you attempt is not returned, but she does walk at your side when you leave the room.
Your memories after your twelfth birthday are as coherent as shattered porcelain. When you try to fit the pieces together they make certain shapes, but they are unclear and riddled with innumerable gaps. For someone who should be so close to you, the missing shards are too big. Your stomach churns with self-hatred at the mere thought of the person you used to be.
Seeping into your lungs, the salty breeze soothes your nerves the moment you step outside. No roses perfume the air. Whether that's comforting or painful you cannot decipher. The palace courtyard being the location of several dark memories, you skirt the plaza in favour of the shaded willows and at length find the old trees with a poorly cared for bench beneath their tendrils.
Only once seated do you notice the lady at your side remains on her feet. You wince at the idea that you may not have allowed the person you were supposed to treat as an equal to rest next to you without permission in past years. The fact that even now you lacked the courtesy to offer her a seat first tells you exactly how fickle your loyalties still are.
Before you can correct yourself, Valerie steals your attention as she wriggles out of your arms and off the bench, running away as soon as her tiny feet touch the ground. Her mother lays a gentle hand on your shoulder when you jump up, keeping you from chasing after the child in a panic.
“She'll come back,” she explains, a soft look that begs you to trust her, as if you have never shown faith in her before.
“Please… Sit with me,” you plead, wishing you could, of all the memories you have lost, also forget how unkind your true nature is.
This time lending her a gloved palm, you offer her the bench first. Retaking your own spot, you wait anxiously for those bright blue eyes to return from whence they disappeared round the hedges.
Sighing and running your hand through golden locks, you wonder aloud, “Where do we even begin…”
Timidly she offers to recount her upbringing, not expecting it to spark memories, but hoping it may help you get your bearings. You agree appreciatively and listen until the two-year-old appears at your knees with a flower clasped in each hand.
“Per mammina!” the little one offers, voice as sweet as a wind chime.
“A pansy. Grazie, bambina.”
Turning to you, she holds out a yellow flower on a long stem. “Per papà!”
“A daffodil. Thank you, Valerie,” you answer with a soft lilt — unfamiliar even to you.
As the excited girl runs off again you ask hesitantly, “Does she really know I'm her father or…?”
“Well... I never dreamt she would meet you. Even so, I still wanted her to know and love her father… I take her to view the royal galleries often… and I’ve shown her the portrait in my locket every morning since she was born… I think that's why she recognizes you, but perhaps that's my wishful thinking…”
A great many pieces hang in that gallery. Most of the ones you had posed for had been commissioned in your childhood, or so you recall. Undoubtedly there should be a few more though — one for your coming of age, one when your mother became queen consort, and… one for your wedding…
“So, she never calls anyone else that… Not my brothers, or other blonde haired gentlemen…?”
“Well, she doesn't see her uncles often, but she knows them from the paintings hung in the galleries too. I'm sure she doesn't really understand the difference between the word father and a name, but she's never called any other man papà…”
Like an anchor snagging on a rocky seabed, some part tucked away deep in your heart is steadied — grounded.
“I tried to tell her as much as I remembered to keep you alive in her heart…” she continues, her gaze cast down. “And in mine…”
Dozens of questions swirl like eddies; what was your relationship like? Who were you as a man, a lover, a husband? What does she expect from you now? But the first to break through the whitecaps is far more direct.
“Did I ever… love you?”
In the pause that rises like a tide, you find yourself unconsciously admiring the first gift from the daughter you didn't know you had until half an hour ago.
“Perhaps not passionately, nor even platonically — for you've always been far beyond my realm in intelligence — but in your own way, you took care of me…”
Though you wonder what that could possibly entail when she seems so fearful of you, you're too ashamed to ask. Instead you change the subject to the little child who now returns, her arms full of blossoms the gardeners will undoubtedly find missing later.
“I see… I can assume from Valerie's existence that we at least consummated the marriage. Did we… have such relations often?”
Caressing the head that bobs level with the bench as the happy creature lays out flowers one by one on the seat between you two, she answers, “You were a gentle lover. Never demanding. You only visited my chambers once in a while. The last time was about a week before you went missing.”
Frowning at your own behaviour you turn to find her gaze. “Did I have a mistress? Was there a reason I visited so little?”
“Not that I know of,” she answers evenly but avoids meeting your eyes. “Though, I've heard you took one while in Rholodite.”
Choking back the bile scalding your throat you manage, at length, to string a few words together. “She was never... I... love her… ardently… but she… has never returned my feelings…”
“I see… She must be an incredible woman to have earned your affection.”
The pain in her forced smile is tangible despite her attempts to hide it by focusing on the little girl babbling about the vibrant colours of the stolen flowers.
“Was I that miserly with my attention towards you?” The question stings as it slips past your own lips.
A cool spring breeze shakes the willows, but the rustling isn't enough to cover the hurt as she answers, “I… generally… tried to stay out of your way…”
You watch in silence as Valerie runs off again with giddy laughter and grass-stained palms.
“In plain terms… I pushed you away.”
Picking up the blossoms one by one, a bouquet begins to take shape as she arranges them in her hand.
“You could say that, yes. There was only one time you relied on me…”
“And that was?”
“To collect evidence against the late queen for attempted assassination…”

So are we gonna talk about the parallels we are getting here with volume 2?
No?
Volume 2 where where Weiss wants to be a huntress to honor the burden of her family’s name and undue the hate from her father. Where Blake wanted to be a Huntress because huntresses fight for the right thing and she’s desperately trying to undue the hate she’s been a part of. And Yang who admits she’s in it for the thrill and the mystery, and is fine with not knowing what tomorrow will bring. And Ruby… Who has always wanted to be a huntress and help those in need.
Volume 9 team RWBY?
“To be free?”
Weiss has found her purpose, not to fix the broken legacy of her family name, but to define what it is to be a Schnee. She has lost everything that makes a Schnee name something of value, yet despite this she is dead set on defining her own path, away from her “villain” of a father. Instead of feeling ashamed of her family name due to her father, Weiss is emboldened. Weiss can proudly say she is a Schnee and not feel guilty of the injustice and pain it has caused others because she is not her father, she is not just a name. So when her past self offers her a life without the weight of her family name, she refuses. Weiss is a Schnee, while that name might not carry the same weight since everything that made it important is lost, she will define the new meaning of the name Schnee. I think Blake had it pegged right when describing Weiss as “defiance”.
“To be something simpler?”
Blake has embraced her Faunus self, not afraid to just be who she is around those she loves, cat ears and all. Yeah she had ran back when Yang lost her arm, but she’s been working like hell ever since to show that she’s never going to leave any of them again. Her past self offers her the chance to run away from all the things she used to struggle with, and make life easier for her by taking away part of her identity. And what does Blake do? Refuse. She embraces her family, friends, and culture, she cannot even fathom leaving that behind and betraying that. She has worked so hard to get comfortable with opening up to the ones she cares about and really embracing her culture, no way can she turn back now. The Blake of Volume 9 is not afraid to love, not afraid to show her ears, and has the courage to stay, even when it might be easier to run.
“To be whole again?”
Yang has been through the ringer. She lost her arm defending someone she loved, said person ran when she needed her most, and confronted a mother who could never love her in the way Summer did. After Volume 3, did Yang still believe in becoming a huntress for the thrill and mystery after the shit show that was the fall of Beacon? Yang’s past self offers her a way to go back, leaving behind the impossible odds they’re up against and getting her arm back. And what does Yang do? She frowns, not able to believe that could ever be an option. Despite losing a part of her, Volume 9 Yang feels whole. She embraces the failures she has made along the way and accepts that they played a huge part in her own growth. If she was missing something it’s not because it was taken from her, it’s because she simply hasn’t found it yet. And this my friends, is why Blake described Yang as “Strength”, not just in power but in mind.
“So… What are you gonna be?”
Oh Ruby… Ruby has always been the one member of team RWBY that never questioned why she wanted to be a huntress. Being a huntress is something that was always meant to happen. Yang describes Ruby in Volume 2 as always wanting to help those in need without getting anything in return. Yet here we are in Volume 9, Ruby has lost countless friends and has so many lives counting on her and the team. Failure after failure it has weighed her down, her “spark” of hope is flickering and burning out. So when being asked what a Huntress is? She stays quiet, unsure of what it means to be one anymore. She doesn’t even know what she is anymore, choosing to sit in silence when confronted with that question by her past self. Ruby was the beacon of hope and optimism yet it seems Blake is taking that role this season. Who is Ruby without hope? Blake had described Ruby as “purity”, so far she’s been right but I guess we will have to find out who Ruby Rose really is this season.
This episode brought all the feelings. Compared to Volume 2 Weiss has achieved her freedom, Blake outgrew the want of a simpler life, Yang feels whole despite feeling like a part of her was missing post Volume 3, and Ruby? Well, you’ll have to get back to me on that one. I smell character development on the horizon, hold onto your butts!

Secret Admirer
This is a fun little Nightsilver fic. As well as my first for the ship. I kind of got interested in the ship after finding some really good art of it. Mainly from the Fox movieverse. Though I may try to expand on it in other adaptations. In the meantime, though, I wanted to share this.
This is meant to be a simple and sweet fic where Kurt has a secret admirer. It takes place after X-Men Apocalypse.
Tumblr media
Roses are red,
Kurt’s fur is blue,
Nightcrawler has an admirer,
Can you guess who?
One little poem was enough to cause chaos. When it showed up in Kurt’s room, Kurt didn’t think much of it. It was cute, and it certainly got Kurt’s curiosity, but he wanted to take it slow and investigate on his own. His compatriots disagreed.
Scott was reasonable about it. He offered to help Kurt look for his admirer, should the blue mutant choose to pursue it. He also offered safety tips.
Ororo was also intrigued by it. She found it cute, if a little cliché. But she love the idea of Kurt having a secret admirer.
Jean and Jubilee, meanwhile, were a bit more energetic when learning the news. They wanted to find Kurt’s admirer for him. He deserved to find love and that was all that mattered.
~
Blue fur in twilight
Eyes shine like electric diamonds
Embrace silver waves
This haiku was found in Kurt’s coat pocket. How it got there, he had no idea. Maybe a student snuck it in there when he wasn’t looking. It held a clue in the form of carefully placed color choices and phrasing. Blue fur was a reference to Kurt. Electric eyes could be a comparison to how his glowed, or perhaps implied a weather based admirer.
Ororo was the first suspect because of that. But after a few moments of inoffensive interrogating, Jubilee was able to cross her off with a bang.
Silver waves was Jean’s term to investigate. She wondered if it could imply a mutant with water based powers. Maybe even ice, since it could have a silvery transparent look. Ororo could be a possibility, but with her excluded, Jean investigated other mutants, only to turn up short when the mutants who had water based powers claimed they weren’t interested in him. And Bobby, the only ice based mutant on the premises, stated that, while Kurt was certainly someone he wouldn’t mind dating, he didn’t believe he was Kurt’s type and Bobby had a boyfriend already.
Kurt, meanwhile, was enjoying moments of relaxation. Since he wasn’t doing the investigating, he could catch up on some reading. No one bothered him, save Jean and Jubilee with reports and Scott clearing the air with questions on how to ask Jean out.
When they weren’t around, everyone seemed to leave him be. It was peaceful. Yet, he never seemed alone. Several times, he could have sworn he felt a breeze run passed him. But with no windows opened, he wasn’t sure what caused it.
Come to think of it, Kurt realized he hadn’t seen Pietro much since this started. He saw him in passing, the speedster stating he had a lot of work to do. Pietro also appeared oblivious to what was going on, or at the very least indifferent. He shrugged off the love letters as something endearing, but not his business, wanting to respect Kurt’s boundaries in regards to it. It was sweet of Pietro, if only a little bizarre. Kurt assumed Pietro would have been curiously nosy about this kind of stuff.
~
Beautifully blue elven cat,
With raven black hair I wish to pat,
Dainty and gothic,
Strong and catastrophic,
Wait for a humble and silver chat.
This poem felt ominous and planned. Was this flirting in poem form? What was an ‘elven cat’ and why did his admirer call him one? Was Kurt’s admirer going to show themselves soon?
Sitting on the couch in the lounge area reading, Kurt ignored the speculations and scheming that Scott, Jean, Jubilee, and now Bobby, were involved in. Kurt felt a quick breeze before noticing that Pietro was sitting next to him. His arm slung around the blue mutant’s frame as Pietro eyed Kurt with curiosity. Kurt kept his sight on his book, but waved his tail a little to signify he knew Pietro was there.
“Any luck on this secret admirer business?” Pietro inquired.
“Not really.” Kurt confirmed, turning the page. “I haven’t been investigating much, but I welcome the mystery.”
“Do you?”
“Yeah. I mean, I don’t know why I would have a secret admirer, but it’s kind of sweet in an awkward and mysterious way.”
A low hum escaped Pietro as his arm wrapped around Kurt’s shoulders. A slightly purple hue painted Kurt’s face as he was pulled closer to Pietro.
“What makes you think you don’t deserve an admirer?” Pietro inquired. “You’re adorable.”
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m a bit funny looking.” Kurt mused, still a little purple in the face. “Demon and all. People seem to think I’m some scary monster.”
As though attempting to comfort Kurt, Pietro hugged him. It wasn’t right that people called him a monster and demon.
“You’re not a monster.” Pietro argued. “You’re an elven kitten.”
“I wouldn’t say… what did you say?”
“You’re an elven kitten. An adorably blue elven cat with electric eyes.”
Pietro’s hand ran through Kurt’s dark hair, patting his head oh so gently. Finally setting his book down, Kurt looked at Pietro with wide eyes.
“It was you?” Kurt realized.
“Yes.” Pietro confirmed with a nod. “I’ve fallen for you. Hard. Since they day you teleported into my life.”
Pietro’s free hand cupped the side of Kurt’s face, causing the mutant to turn an even deeper shade of purple. Flattered, shocked, and confused, Kurt had so many questions. His mind felt like a tornado of surreal curiosity.
Until this point, Kurt never considered the option that he was loved in such a way. And though Kurt wasn’t on his mind most days, Kurt couldn’t lie that Pietro was charming in an energetic and optimistic way. Like a super charged bunny with a smile that made Kurt’s heart flutter. But one thing plagued Kurt’s mind.
“I… I never would have thought… Why me?”
“Because you are sweet, strong, and are deserving of love.” Pietro stated, chuckling as the flattery ruffled Kurt’s perplexed feathers. “You're so cute when your confused.”
Leaning closer, Pietro barely hovered over Kurt’s face. Warm breathes tickled Kurt’s face, anticipation and curiosity growing.
“May I kiss you?” Pietro asked.
Stunned, Kurt froze for a moment. The question itself was innocent enough, but what he asked for was a surprise. After a moment of silence, Kurt nodded, sealing the deal with a literal kiss.
The kiss was soft and gently, closing the case of the secret admirer. Neither one care if anyone saw, as both relished the soft intimacy. Both craved the affection, not wanting it to end. And it was all thanks to three lovely poems.

Aemond Targaryen x Velaryon black fem Oc
Summary: it’s been a year since Leyanna Velaryon “passed”, but she returns showing up to Rhaenyra and Laenor’s wedding feast
Note: I will be changing things for the plot of this story, there’s no insect

Leyanna Velaryon is the first born daughter to Corlys and Rhaenys Velaryon, and heir to her father’s thorn. Getting ready for the feast in her hidden castle just off the coast of driftmark, she finally leaves to kings landing.
Once she arrives she walks through the castle unnoticed. Leyanna finally making it to the room where the feast was being held pushed the doors open walking in. As Lady Leyanna walked people whispered and gossiped. Her family being in awe with a thousand questions running through their heads.
Her sister Laena was the first to get up and embracing her while the rest of thier family followed. Looking at Rhaenrya while smiling the girls sharing a look of happiness but also wonder. As the night went on the Velaryon siblings and Rhaenrya chatted before see their parents and the parents of Jaemarr and Jaeda Galelaeris arguing.
Leyanna getting annoyed knowing what they’re arguing about walks over to them.
“Why are you arguing about who I am betrothed to when I am allowed to choose who I want to marry”
The adults turned to the princess before looking at each other.
“You were betrothed to Jaemarr when you were a child princess” said Lord Vaemond
“And now the Queen wants you to marry Aemond”
“What?” Leyanna questioned
Just a few feet away Jaemarr and Aemond on opposites of the room of each other hearing the argument of who the princess should be betrothed to, make their way to the families.
Jeamarr coming up behind Leyanna running his fingers down her right arm causing her to jump. Moving away from him she moves closer to her father.
“I am not going to stand here and be forced to marry someone I don’t want too.”
With that the princess walked back to her siblings and best friend. As she sat down talking Jeamarr walks up.
“Outside now”
Leyanna not responding to him, he pulls her put of her seat dragging her out of the dinning hall. Once out side he slams her against the wall.
“You will marry me or so by the gods you will be dead this time”
He whispered in her ear with every word his grip on her throat tightened. Until his sister came and took the now frightened Leyanna back into the dinner hall and immediately went to their parents to tell them what happened and to call off Leyanna and her brothers engagement.
After the night ended the Velaryons stayed a kings landing for the night. That night Leyanna told her parents what happened the year before.
“Alicent was forced by Otto to kill me because I apparently “knew to much” I was stabbed and had my left arm cut.”
After telling her parents the full story she headed to her sleeping chambers, while walking there she was snatched by Otto himself into a dimly lit room with her now ex fiancé. With in 20 minutes she had been beaten and cut.
She was then found by Aemond seeing what happened to the princess he picked her up taking her to her sleeping chambers he found the maesters of house Velaryon. Once he was sure she was safe with them, he went to find Otto and Jaemarr, once found he tortured them giving them a slow and pain full death.

His first response is to laugh, a soft shake of his head as he steps away from her, turning his back as she’s frozen in place.
“Be serious, Em.”
“I am being serious,” she replies, crossing her arms over her chest, “We love each other, we always have,” they fall into silence, every second a sharp knife to her heart. She bites the inside of her cheek. “Are you telling me you’d rather I married him?”
Aaron scoffs, “Of course not-”
She cuts over him, desperation she’s not sure she’s ever felt in her life rising up in her, the knowledge that it was truly now or never overwhelming.
“If I became his wife who knows what would happen, I’d certainly never see you again-”
“Emily,” he says, turning back to face her, his hand running through his hair, “Please stop, the thought of you with that…brute is enough to make me go insane.”
She stares at him, almost waiting for him to say something else, but he doesn’t. He simply stands frozen in place, his gaze fixed on the floor. She walks over to him and first places her hand on his chest before moving it up to his face, tilting it so he has no option but to look at her.
“You asked me earlier if I had a choice,” she says desperately, cupping his cheek to maintain eye contact, “And this is what I choose,” her eyes search his, looking for the first sign that he was accepting that this is truly what she wants, “I choose you.”
He places a hand on each side of her face, holding her in place, “This won’t be easy, Em. You know that don’t you? Everyone would be against it. If we do this, I’ll marry you and…just leave.”
She closes her eyes and he leans forward, pressing his forehead into hers, “I know that,” she blows out a breath, ignores how it catches in her chest, and she opens her eyes again, pulling back just enough to look at him, “But, if we don’t do this when you come back,” she says, not entertaining the thought that he might not, that she could lose him forever, “I’d be married to someone else. And then we’d never have a chance.”
They fall into silence again, and it feels like it lasts forever, dragging around them in a way she knows they don’t have time for.
“Okay.”
She stares at him for a moment and breathes out, laughing as she does so, “Okay?”
“Yes,” he replies, smiling at her, “Let’s do it, let’s get married.”
She pulls him into a tight hug, her arms tight around his neck as she melts into his embrace, his arms banding around her back.
“So, how are we going to do it?” She asks, and he pulls back to look at her, “You’re leaving soon?”
“Training starts the day after tomorrow,” he says, his hands squeezing at her waist at the way her face falls slightly, “I’m going downtown tomorrow to see Sean. My plan was to stay with him overnight and then report for duty from there.”
She clenches her jaw, brief fury licking at her insides at the reminder that his initial plan had been to simply leave, the letter with his explanation crumpled in her hand, but she swallows it down. She knows there will be plenty of time to be furious at him later, she wasn’t going to waste any of the time she had to love him by being mad at him.
“Okay,” she nods, biting her lip as she thinks about it, “I could tell Mother that I want a new dress for the official engagement to Ian, I’ve stayed downtown overnight after shopping before. How long does it take to get a marriage license?”
“Usually longer than a day, but I read somewhere you can rush them through if you’re in the services.”
She smiles tightly at him, another reminder of why this was all happening causing her heart to clench.
“So we’ll go separately, and then meet up?” She asks, and he goes to argue, but she carries on talking, “If we went together I think mother would be suspicious, for this to work it already needs to be a done deal by the time she finds out.”
Aaron nods, despite how uneasy that thought made him feel. That if all went to plan in 48 hours Emily would be back here, alone, explaining to her mother and everyone else that she was already married. And he’d be nowhere to be seen. She smiles at him, biting her lower lip as her eyes shine, and he reaches out to tuck some of her hair behind her ear.
“What?” He asks, sure he was in some kind of dream, that this couldn’t possibly be real. He was going to marry the woman he’d loved since they were both too young to understand what love was.
“We’re getting married tomorrow,” she says, her smile widening as she feels the same level of disbelief that he is, “And you’ve still never kissed me.”
Aaron smiles at her and places his hand on her cheek. He leans in and presses his lips against hers. It’s everything they’ve both hoped it would be for years. Something new and exciting, but something familiar about it too. Like coming home.
He pulls back and smiles at her, “There, that’s one thing sorted,” he comments, laughing when she chases him for another kiss, not sure she could ever get enough, “You should get home before your mother realises you’re missing.”
She nods, “Okay,” she says, kissing him once more before pulling back from him, “I did kind of run out of there like a bat out of hell.”
Aaron smiles, “Want me to walk you back to the main house?”
She shakes her head, “No, it’s ok,” she squeezes his hand once more, getting used to her ability to do so freely, “I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow.”
___
The first thing Sean does is laugh, his reaction similar to what Aaron’s had been when Emily initially suggested getting married.
Then as soon as he realises his brother is serious he’s stunned into silence, shaking his head at their stupidity. He’d always been the tag-along when they were young, hanging out with his older brother and the girl even he’d seen Aaron had always been in love with. Sean had moved away the second he turned 18, only getting as far as downtown before he ran out of money, but he found a job in a restaurant and was getting by.
Aaron finds himself nervously watching the front door of Sean’s apartment, and he’s starting to worry that he’d written it down incorrectly for her. That the small envelope he’d slipped to JJ that morning with the instructions on where to meet him would lead her elsewhere.
It was easier to consider than the alternative. That she’d been caught by her mother, or worse, changed her mind.
“You’re worried she isn’t going to show up.”
Aaron sighs, not bothering to look at his brother, choosing to keep his eyes fixed on the front door.
“No I’m not,” Aaron argues weakly, “She’ll show up.”
“Unless her mother saw through your insane plan and locked her up in her room,” Sean says, and Aaron does turn to look at him this time, his annoyance climbing at the smirk on his face, “You’ve always struck me as the ‘saving the princess from the tower’ type.”
“Sean, I swear to God-”
His threat is cut off by a knock at the apartment door, and Aaron springs to his feet, relief spreading through his body.
“Sure, you just knew she was going to show up,” Sean mutters under his breath, before recoiling slightly at the look Aaron throws him as he reaches the door, “I’ll give you some space, I’ll be in the bedroom.”
Aaron blows out a breath slowly before he opens the door, the last of the tension in his chest dissipating as he sees her.
“Hi, I’m sorry I’m late,” she says, stepping in past him, “I had to go somewhere after I checked into the hotel,” she explains, turning to smile at him as she digs through her purse, handing him a small box. He opens it, his stomach flipping at the sight of two matching thin gold bands, “I had to guess at your ring size.”
“You bought these?”
She nods, “I have the money,” she shrugs, “And I know it’s not really the done thing for men to wear rings too, but I thought it would be something you can have to remember me by.”
Aaron smiles at her, leaning in to kiss her quickly, well aware that his brother was in the next room.
“I love it,” he says, kissing her again, “Not that I’d need anything to remember you by.”
Emily smiles at him, “Did you get the marriage license?”
He nods, patting the pocket of his suit jacket, “Had no problems at all.” She looks relieved, blowing out a steady breath as she nods.
He looks her up and down, finally taking a moment to appreciate what she was wearing. The dress was a simple white tea dress that came to below her knees. Her dark hair was braided, gathered at the base of her neck in an updo that he’d seen her in countless times before.
“Is this new?” He asks, and she nods in response.
“I told Mother I was buying a dress, technically this means I’m not a liar.”
“You look beautiful,” he says, his hand reaching out for hers, “Your dress is…”
“Simple,” she replies, a small smile on her face as she squeezes his hand.
“It’s probably not what you saw yourself getting married in when you were growing up.”
“No, it isn’t,” she replies, stepping closer to press a kiss to his cheek, “But you are who I saw myself marrying.”
Aaron smiles at her, and he leans to kiss her, only to be interrupted by the door opening, revealing Sean on the other side with a wide grin on his face.
“Save that for the hotel room.”
Emily blushes slightly, stepping back from Aaron, “Hi Sean.”
“Hi Emily,” he replies, leaning against the door frame, “It’s been a while,” he smirks, “Did I ever mention that I always wanted a sister?”
Any concern she had about his reaction disappears in a second. She’s briefly overwhelmed by relief that they would have at least someone on their side once all hell broke loose.
“Come on lovebirds,” he says, his grin only getting bigger as his brother blushes slightly, “Let's go get you married.”
___
It's quick, over in a matter of minutes as a stressed-looking judge makes them go through their vows, hastily signing the documents in front of them before he rushes them out, the next couple already partway in the room. It doesn’t escape Emily that a number of the men waiting were also in uniform, her and Aaron clearly not the only pair to have had this idea.
She pays for them to have photos taken, something Aaron protests at first but she talks him into it. Wanting this keepsake in case the very worst happens, so she can remember that, for a moment, everything was as it always should have been.
Sean sorts them a table at the restaurant he works at, and the owner refuses to let them pay for their meal, the only wedding gift they receive from anyone.
It’s only when they are back in her hotel room that it really hits her. Aaron was her husband now, something she’d idly daydreamed about when she was young, back when she could pretend to herself that the expectations her mother had of her didn’t exist.
She looks down at the ring on her finger and smiles, holding her hand out in front of her so she can see the metal catch in the light of the room.
“It’s really there,” Aaron says, smiling at her from where he was standing a few paces away.
“I know,” she replies, reaching out and linking her fingers through his, pulling him closer, “It’s just all happened so quickly,” she smiles, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair, “This time yesterday I still didn’t know you were going away.”
“It’s either quickly, or not quickly enough,” he says, one of his hands drifting to her lower back, the soft material of her dress caught in between his fingers, “I’ve been in love with you for years.”
She bites her lower lip in an attempt to stop herself from smiling even wider, her cheeks aching with it.
“I’ve been in love with you for years too.”
Aaron leans in to kiss her, cupping the back of her head to hold her in place. She sighs into it, her arms sneaking around his back. He pulls back, and there is such a tender look in his eyes it makes her ache.
“Sweetheart, we-”
“I like it when you call me that,” she says, smiling as she stamps another kiss on his lips. Aaron places his hand on her cheek, the callouses of his thumb rough against her skin.
“Sweetheart,” he repeats, emphasising the term of endearment this time, “We don’t have to do anything,” he says, and her smile deepens, her love for him feeling like it could burst out of her chest.
“What, we can just cuddle?” She asks, biting her lower lip as her eyes explore his.
“Em-”
“I want to,” she says, cutting over his protest. “I…” she drifts off, unsure how to put it into words. How to tell him that every second they had together was tainted by the fact he was leaving tomorrow, that he was going to fight a war she didn’t understand. That she could lose him, and right now she wanted to make sure she had loved him in every way she could before that became a possibility. “I want to.”
Aaron nods, understanding what she hasn’t said, he strokes her cheek again before leaning in to kiss her. It’s fiercer than the others they’d shared, and she grasps at the back of his shirt, opening her mouth so his tongue can sweep through it.
They move towards the bed as one, shedding their clothing as they go. Emily laughs when he struggles with her corset, helping him undo the tiny fastenings at the back before undoing the garter section herself. She blushes as he watches, heat making her skin turn pink across her face and chest as he looks at her like she’s the most spectacular thing he’s ever seen.
“What?” She asks eventually, her chest heaving in a way she doesn’t fully understand.
“You’re so beautiful,” he says, placing his hand on her ribs, gently stroking at the soft skin beneath her breast, “So beautiful.”
She looks up at him, running her hand over his shoulder and down his arm, marvelling at how the muscle rippled underneath.
“You’re not so bad yourself,” she replies breathlessly, pulling him down for another kiss. She shifts up the bed and he lays on top of her, careful not to put all of his weight on her, one of his hands next to her head on the mattress. She groans as his hand moves down her body, tracing her waist with his fingertips, making her shiver as he goes, “Aaron.”
“So beautiful,” he repeats as his hand reaches her thighs, shifting them slightly further apart as he tries to memorise everything about her. He strokes over her and she jolts slightly, breathing sharply against his neck, “Sorry, did that…was that wrong?”
She breathes out a laugh and shakes her head, “No, that was…” she laughs again, “That was good,” she reaches between them and guides his hand back to where it had been, biting her lip as his fingers swipe over her again, “So good.”
He does it again, and again. Building her up until all she can do is dig her fingernails into his back, sure to leave marks behind, as she tips over the edge. As soon as she can think straight again she grabs his head to kiss him, holding him in place as holds him impossibly closer.
“You ready?” He asks, shifting on top of her, and she nods in response, kissing him again as he grabs one of her thighs with one hand to spread her legs further apart again. He uses his other hand to link their fingers together near her head, smiling down at her as he guides himself into her.
He groans, resting his forehead against hers as the feeling of her overwhelms him. It was so much more than he’d imagined all these years, alone in his small home on the estate as she sat at parties she hated that her mother hosted. It felt impossible that this was real, that he was with her like this. She tenses, her fingers digging into his shoulders again and he stops, pulling back to look at her. He brushes some of her hair from her forehead.
“You ok?” He asks breathlessly, using all of his self-control not to push forward, not wanting to hurt her.
She nods tightly, “Yeah,” she replies, smiling reassuringly at him, “I just need a second,” she reaches up with her spare hand to run her fingers through his hair, “Kiss me.”
Not needing to be asked twice he leans down, kissing her in a way that felt the exact same as their first kiss just the day before in his living room, and entirely different at the same time. She relaxes slightly, sighing into the kiss before she pushes her hips into him.
“Em-”
“Move, please,” she says, moving back from him just enough so she can speak, her breath skipping over his lips.
He does as he’s asked, both of them groaning as he continues to push forward before pulling back completely, repeating the motion again and again as he builds them both up. His hand sneaks between them, his thumb up against her, rubbing in the same spot she’d directed him back to earlier. She goes over the edge again, followed quickly by him, groaning as he presses his face into her neck as she wraps her arms tightly around him.
They stay there for a few moments before he pulls up to look down at her, concern flooding through his belly, chasing the pleasure he’d just felt away when he sees her eyes are closed.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?”
She chuckles, opening her eyes, a look in them he’d never seen before, “I am more than okay, honey. We’re doing that again.”
He laughs, relief spreading through him, “I love you.”
She smiles up at him, pushing some of his hair from his forehead, “I love you too.”
They stay awake until the early hours of the morning, dawn breaking on the horizon when they finally stop exploring each other. Their exhausted bodies give into sleep as they tangle together, as inseparable as the stars from the sky.
___
“Are you sure you don’t want me to drive you back?” Aaron asks, his hand on her lower back as they stand waiting for the bus.
“No, it’s ok,” she says, smiling up at him, the sight of him in his uniform making her stomach flip in more ways than one, “It was always the plan and it will be less suspicious,” she smiles at him, mischief he loves sparkling in her eyes, “Plus this way I get the added bonus of telling Mother I got the bus and watching her reaction.”
He smiles at her and shakes his head, leaning down to kiss her forehead, taking in every moment of her he could until they were separated for an undetermined amount of time.
“You’re outrageous,” he comments, and she pulls back to look at him, the same lightness in her expression from the last day and a half, a few final moments of peace before they had to face reality.
“You love it.”
“I really do,” he replies, kissing her quickly. As he pulls back he grabs her hand, the thin gold band around her ring finger leaving him feeling something other than happiness since he’d slipped it on there. He sighs, guilt flooding through his chest, “I’m sorry you’ll have to face it all alone.”
Her smile falters and she nods, “It’s ok,” she says, tightening her told on her purse where their marriage certificate was safely stowed away, “It’s the only way to do this.”
She could face her mother, she had done it countless times before. She knew this would be the biggest fight of all of them. That eloping, with the caretaker no less, was something she would face consequences for. Elizabeth would be furious, angry in a way Emily is sure she’d never experienced before. But it was worth it. Worth it to have Aaron, this time they’d had over the last day or so.
Especially if it was all she was ever going to get.
The bus rounds the corner and she tightens her hold on him, tears pressing at the back of her eyes because she knows this is it. Their little moment of happiness was over. Her chest feels like it's in a vice as the bus pulls to a stop.
“Sweetheart,” Aaron says, moving so he was standing right in front of her, “I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” she replies, pulling him in for a kiss, not caring at how the women in front of them comment loudly about the inappropriateness of it. She simply kisses him deeply again, her hand desperate in the back of his hair, “I love you so much.”
“We’ll write, ok?” He says, tucking some hair behind her ear as she nods, a tear splashing onto her cheek, “As soon as I know where I’ll be I’ll send you a letter so you can write back.”
“Ok,” she nods again, flicking her eyes to the line ahead of them, seeing how they were already close to the front, their time slipping through her fingers like fine sand, “Please come back to me. Promise me.”
He sighs, it’s a promise he’d told himself he wouldn’t make her. It was one he couldn’t make, one he shouldn't.
“Em-”
“Please, Aaron.” She knows it’s unfair, that it’s not a promise he can keep, but she isn’t sure she can let him go until she hears it.
He nods, kissing her forehead, then her nose before he pulls her into a fierce embrace, one she returns just as strongly.
“Ok, I promise,” he pulls back, aware of the driver looking at them, a sympathetic look on his face at the sight of Aaron’s uniform. “You should get going.”
She smiles at him, but it shakes, and she kisses him once more before she pulls away, “Stay safe.”
“You too,” he replies, squeezing her hand one more time before it slips out of his, their fingers ghosting over each other as she leans down to pick up her small suitcase before she steps onto the bus.
The driver waves her on for free, a kind look on his face that she has to ignore because she thinks it might be the thing to break her. She chooses a window seat and smiles at Aaron through it, her heart heavy as the bus starts to pull away. She waves until she can’t see him anymore, blowing out a steady breath as she sits back straight in her seat.
“Your boy going off to the war?”
She looks at the man sitting in front of her and she clears her throat, “Yes, he’s my husband.”
It strikes her it’s the first time she’s said it out loud, the first time she’s acknowledged Aaron’s new role in her life to anyone other than him, and it takes everything in her not to burst into tears.
“God bless you both, love,” the man says before he turns back around, clearly noticing she wanted to be alone.
Emily shakes her head, and wonders where God came into any of this, but lets it slide, knowing the man was only being kind. She opens her purse to get out her handkerchief, a shaky smile escaping at the sight of the pristine envelope their marriage certificate was in, but before she can reach for it she spots the crumbled envelope next to it. The letter Aaron had handed to her days ago that she still hadn’t read, the one he’d planned to leave behind.
It felt like a lifetime had passed since then, since their rushed confessions and the decisions that had led her to this. She takes a deep breath as she fishes it out of her purse, straightening out the envelope before she pulls out the letter. She chokes out a small laugh as a pressed daisy falls into her lap, and she picks it up, touching the now slightly dried-out petals, before she slips it back into the envelope.
Emily,
I think I should start by asking for forgiveness.
I know you’ll be mad for how I left, for keeping this a secret from you, but I know if there is one person who could convince me to change my mind it would be you. So, please forgive me, I beg of you.
I also want to apologise for being a coward. Not just because I’ve gone to war without saying it to you, or without saying goodbye, but for not saying so many things.
I love you, Emily. I have since we were children. And I know you feel the same way. I don’t want you to worry about that, to spend your whole life worrying if I knew. I do know, and I felt it every time you smiled at me, or yelled at me for pulling up the daisies in the spring.
They are weeds by the way, no matter what you say.
Maybe in another life, in different circumstances, we could have had more than unspoken truths and a quick ending, but we’re living this life. And there is no escaping it.
I know you’ll marry one day, and I can only hope you marry a good man. That he is someone who deserves you. If he loves you even a fraction of how I do, you’ll be happy.
Please remember me fondly. As the man who sat with you for hours on end when your mother thought I was working. As the boy who ran around the estate with you.
All my love,
Aaron.
She wipes at her cheeks, wiping away the tears that had escaped as she’d read his letter. She didn’t want them to fall onto the paper, to smudge the writing she knew she’d read again and again until she next hears from him. She carefully folds it away and places it back in its envelope and slips it back into her purse.
She looks out the window and blows out a steady breath, her heart somehow as light and as heavy as it had ever been as she sees her mother’s estate appear on the horizon.
