ANOTHER GODDAMN TIMEBOMB TANGLED AU HCs BEcause why not...

Idk if ive wrote this in one of my Tangled AU HCs tho but regardless...

Look look, listen-- this is just a headcanon for this AU. I know that Vi and Powder's parents fought at the bridge, and it wasn't explicitly said they were close to Vander (muchless Silco). So with all that said, if you're gonna be mad that I used their mother as a love interest for Vander and Silco and that this is inaccurate, then do not read lmao.

When Vander and Silco were young, theyre fighting over a young woman lmao

The woman is close to the two since shes part of the vigilante group that want to fight for Zaun, so they know her very well.

But it turns out she was already engaged to someone else, and few years later, she had a daughter named Vi 🥲

After hearing all this, Silco and Vander tried to forget their little fight and focused on making Zaun independent (that is until they fought again about how to run the city and Vander won over- Silco got the nasty eye)

When the lady's husband died from the war at the bridge, Vander offered to help her out as a stand in uncle for Vi and her soon to be sibling.

So when the woman fell ill all while pregnant with her 2nd child, she asked Vander to take care of her children if she ever passed away.

Silco on the other hand was bitter from his and Vander's fight. Not only that, he despised the fact that Vander gets to be close to his unrequited love all while he has to suffer alone. He soon managed to form a group dedicated to idealistic future for zaun where he gets to rule over it with the use of shimmer, provided by Singed (who agreed bc he is interested in testing humans)

So when Silco heard that the lady he once fell in love with got ill, it was his chance to introduce her to shimmer. He convinced her it was medicine, and overtime she took it regularly. Turns out it did ease the pain but after effects would put her in dire situation.

The Lady didnt know about the quarrel between Vander and Silco, so she didnt shoo away Silco when he approached her with "medicine"

Meanwhile, Vander was oblivious on whats going on at first bc he was busy protecting the citizens from abusive enforcers. It was too late when The Lady was on her last breath while struggling to give birth to Powder

He did what he was told and took in the daughters, but it wasnt long until Silco and his henchmen raided their home and stole Powder.

Funfact: Silco doesn't like Vi because she looks like her later father (terms of hair and eye shape), while Powder/Jinx is his favorite because she resembles a lot like her mother. Thats also the reason why Silco locked her up to keep her safe (and he knows for sure whatever illness her mother has, she might inherit it).

Though ofc he's still ever so distant to Jinx and neglectful of her feelings because she's another man's daughter and that alone tore him. (Look, he really fell for the lady, this was a huge slap to his face 🙃)

Bonus slap was when the lady chose Vander over him to take care of her children bc she trusts him more than anyone else

Another fact: Silco forbid Jinx to wear her hair up in braids because it'll remind him too much of the lady 💀 (her late mother wears her hair in braids, its a signature look for her ✨️)

A/N: I get sleepy so fast after drinking alcohol, maybe I need more tolerance.

Jinx loves a good party, or any excuse to have one. Given her nearly endless energy she can party until morning and she never gets drunk or sick. Well lucky her because you're only human. No Shimmer in your blood.

Good thing that Shimmer also gives her a lot of strength because she had to drag your pretty ass all the way home. Your drunken thank yous are very cute and she will tease you about them in the morning, but for now she will let you sleep this off. She can take a nap next to you but if you get handsy you'll wake up without that hand.

"Down you go sugar. Not that way down, not when you can barely look up at me. How much did you drink anyway? You wanted to match me? You... do realize that amount can kill a normal human right? I love you want to keep up but don't put yourself in danger for my amusement. Seeing you like this is... not fun."

Caitlyn doesn't actually have that much of a tolerance for alcohol, not the hard stuff anyway. Besides she needs to always keep her with about her, even when there's a party going on. It's a habit that she can never let go off, always on alert, never letting her guard down.

This allows her to keep an eye on you, someone who she knows will party pretty hard. You want her to have a good time too so you always try to include her, but as soon as she notices you're going overboard she will pull you aside and up to her bedroom. You stay here for the night, she'll help you sneak out in the morning. In the mean time, maybe some water and something salty would help.

"I can't take my eyes off you can I darling? I never do but especially now. How can I when you're irresistible to me? Yes, even dead drunk, I still find you very cute. Wipe that silly grin of your face will you, before I do it for you. I'm not kissing you while you taste like alcohol!"

Vander has seen many, many people get absolutely wasted in his bar so he knows how to see the signs early. There's no way he's scooping you off the table or the floor while you throw up everywhere, how would that look for him as the owner? It'd get him teased for sure, plus a few laughs ain't worth you getting hurt.

He picks you up in his arms, deciding to pack up for the night, at least for the two of you. Even as you're lowered to the bed you don't let go of his shirt, pulling it off his body until it's on you instead. Now you can sleep, when you have his scent all over you. But in the morning when you wake up you have to fight against a drumming headache as you hear the kids running and laughing through the hallways.

"That's what you get for drinking so much darlin'. I told them to keep it down but you know I can't fully control them. You can sit today out, I'll take care of everything else. Now uh... my shirt please? Why not? I ain't going out there without it. Well maybe we can make a deal hm? A few big kisses for my shirt?"

Silco already has his lackies and his kid to watch out for. So you need to be an adult here, along with... and just a few hours in and you're drunk. Well now he knows where Jinx gets her party encouragement from.

He has to carry you up on his back, all the way to the bed and... you should really let go of him now. There's still people downstairs and he is not letting Sevika be with a drunk Jinx because the last time that happened there was a fire in the bar. But he also doesn't want to leave you... what a dilemma. Will you stay in bed if he gives you a kiss? More then a kiss? Fine, but make it really quick.

"You really need to learn some self-restraint darling. How do you expect to please me when you can't even stand up? Oh I can see you can still use your mouth, but I'm worried you might hurt yourself. How about you lay back and I please you? That should be enough to make you pass out no?"

Viktor doesn't drink a lot, not because he doesn't like it because he doesn't handle it very well most of the time. He needs to be in a really good mood to drink. Most of the time he drinks when he's with you, to loosen up a little and have fun with you.

However he's also the one who ends up patting you on the back when you throw up in the toilet later that night. He told you to slow down, but nope, you had to prove you can drink more then him, which isn't really that hard. You end up cuddling with him all night and mumbling how much you love him and end up telling him he'll make a great husband one day.

"Husband? You're thinking that far into the future my darling? Interesting. I'm guessing you didn't mean to say that right now so I'll be sure to act surprised when you actually ask me to marry you. You want kids too? Any other big secrets? You loving me is no secret."

My internet is sketchy rn so you might've already gotten this, but what do you think would change in Arcane if Silco was replaced with Renata Glasc?

I mean, everything? Renata would never have gone for a scheme like Silco's - for one thing, she doesn't care about nation-building like he does, she's not that kind of visionary, she cares about revenge. She wants Piltover burned to the ground and its aristocracy dead, impoverished or humiliated - preferably all three.

Silco makes Shimmer and does everything he does to establish Zaun as enough of a threat that Piltover will accept separation before war; Renata makes her products the talk of the town of Piltover so she can use each and every one of them to plant a bomb in a Piltovan upper class home, and fiddle like Nero when the city goes up in flames.

So Renata would never have adopted Powder, or even have targeted Vander to begin with. Like, even if he had betrayed her in the past, she'd probably be content to leave him where he is keeping the "peace," because that makes a more conveniently placid environment in which to build her brand and reputation.

Renata is definitely riffing off of Silco a little bit as a character, and I believe Riot has said as much, but she's also a very different character to him.

vi is so fucking fascinating to me, I am studying her like a bug in a jar

she was a CHILD putting on her father's gauntlets in spite of the fear gathered in her little body, in spite of just witnessing someone she's known all her life die in a HORRIFIC way (benzo), still she rises, still she says I HAVE TO DO THIS still she takes on men three times her size and fucks them up so bad that silco has to send his shimmered up fucked up monster to try to stop her and STILL she persists, indifferent to the worst happening because she’s survived the worst already. furious and unstoppable and determined to do whatever she has to survive and ensure those she loves survive, no matter the cost.

vi under all that debris, bruised, bleeding, screaming, watching her family die, staring at the monkey head in shock and crying because this can't be happening, they were so close...

sobbing in pain until her father saves her just to watch helpless as he dies protecting her. they were so SO CLOSE to surviving, so close to escaping and everything gets ripped away in a second

vi trapped in that prison cell for years and years on end with the ghosts of her family and her guilt for company, drowning in guilt, wondering if her sister's still alive, no doubt thinking about how she LET her slip right through her fingers

the last thing vander said to her was "take care of powder"

she's let the man who's her FATHER and loves more than anything down.

"whatever happens is on you" / "protect the family" / "take care of powder" .... but she can't, not anymore, she's fucked it up and let everyone down (re "I should have been there for you, for everyone") all she can do is sit in that shitty prison cell, on that freezing floor, hungry, bloody, counting the hours until she can somehow rescue powder

Vi is piercings and tats that no doubt got infected, she's a child becoming a woman too fast, she is a danger-zone high-risk disaster area and won't back down, won't give up.

Vi is soft!! self-sacrificing, protective, supportive. ("You wanna talk about today?", "We've all had bad days, but we learn, and we stick together") brave, SMART, witty. she's got a tongue sharp as her fists and a barbed, delicious sense of humour. she gives people nicknames (cupcake, pow pow, pretty boy) and fights with everything that she's got to protect what she loves!!!! she is her father's daughter!!!

she is idealistic and expects the world to see her reason, look at things through her eyes and wanna make a change ( "This is how things are, how they've always been. I was so stupid to think it could change. / "oil and water that's all there is" )

and yes! vi is not flawless. she's obsessive (re sevika. to her eyes she is the last thing standing between her and silco/getting to silco and saving jinx) and complicated, morally ambivalent because she makes mistakes, flies off the handle like a comet crashing through everything in her way, makes reckless choices because she has to. she is selfish when it comes to jinx and would do anything to keep her safe.
