frustrated. the one word that came to mind when trying to express your emotions right now. You couldn’t think straight, couldn’t articulate your words properly, let alone get your point across without becoming completely irate. That’s what happened when you dealt with the likes of armin artlert. A known playboy with a reputation that preceded him. But with all the information you heard from the streets about him dogging all his women, being a cheater and a dumbass, you decided to give him a chance. Under the premise that his ass was gone the second he acted the fool. Unfortunately, things weren’t so simple with him! You could never truly be free of him..whether physically from the fact that no man fucked you quite like he did. Or mentally because he’d blow your phone up and play mind games until you let him back in for a thousandth chance.

“Please…please give me one good reason why I shouldn’t bust you in your shit, Armin. Please give me one.”

“I already told you, angel. I don’t even know that girl…she probably has me confused with somebody else..”

another Saturday night wasted down the drain..where you could put partying with your girls, finding a man worth of a damn, it was being spent pacing the floor of your two bedroom apartment you shared together. Arguing and fussing about a potential side piece as he sat on the edge of the bed. Sprawled out shirtless with nothing but black sweats on. Shaggy blonde hair going everywhere and tattoos on his chest and forearm still vibrant from the lotion he applied after he showered. Despite how fine your man was, you were solely focused on ripping him apart. Pissed off that he had yet again embarrassed you. “So that bitch asked you to suck your dick and she got you confused with somebody else? Nah nigga, the only thing you and her both got..is me fucked up.”

ramping and raving like a mad woman as you poked his forehead with your long acrylics. Folded arms and puffed out jaws like a petulant child and all he could do was stare in adoration for how cute you were. He didn’t want to admit it but the sight of you putting him in his place really got Armin stirred up. Hearing you cuss him for everything he was worth..clapping your hands..he loved seeing you in this aggressive state. Even if it wasn’t healthy. “Playing in my motherfuckin’ face…I’m not one of these other bitches, Armin.” He heard you, loud and crystal clear but he couldn’t be vexed to care. He never did. He never gave a damn about his actions affected you or anyone else. But he’d pretend, so as long as he could get his own gratification..

“I know, baby..they’re nothing like you. That’s why I told you, I don’t even know her ass. You know how many of them are jealous of you? Seriously, who wouldn’t be? Look at you..”

his half assed attempt of mulling over the situation was bombing, until he resorted to desperate measures that is..leaning back, he’d open his legs a bit more and suck his teeth, flashing you a shit eating smirk. One that would undeniably get him his way! Extending an arm out, he’d grasp for your hand and pull you towards him, intertwining those fingers together and placing kisses on the knuckles.

“..shit, I mean…if I’m being honest, you got me thinking about you right now, baby. They can’t do any of the things you can. Can’t love me the way you can, not as beautiful as you are…and damn sure can’t fuck on me the way you do.”

you knew he was only trying to soften you up. Stop you from being angry and as always, that smooth charm and slick demeanor done its job. As he had your eyes adverted to his face, tugging you down gently to your knees for a kiss, his other hand was working to free his erection from its confines. Stiff and seeping with precum, he wanted nothing more than shove it between those pretty, gloss stained lips. But first, he’d shove two fingers between them, letting you suck them and coo to you as he always done. Swiping a finger across your cheek, he knew you were exactly where he wanted you. “Go ahead, baby..suck on it.”

Eren Yeager was a troubled kid. Growing up, he either was in trouble or was the trouble and he only ever met his consequences with a snarl and glare. As a teen, he learned to channel that anger into music, often staying late in the garage playing guitar until his fingers bled (how punk rock). His years of staying afloat in school while working hard at the guitar paid off. The moment he graduated, he left his town with middle fingers up and a dream. Years later you can find him in grungy small venues, shredding on his second-hand guitar with the band he made. And there you were, always on the barricade and headbanging to the lyrics he helped write. Wherever his band went, you were there. The first time he caught your eyes, he was winded. You were so determined, so gorgeous. So authentic. It's almost like a Wattpad story how he slips his number to you as well as a way to get to the dressing room set for his band. He's got an extremely rough and messy exterior but your patience was strong and steadfast. Soon enough, he begins to have a weakness - you. Eren hated everything, well almost everything.

This one was originally unnamed when the premise for it was created. I started this a while ago, and then set it on the back burner, but then Lewi dropped this amazing art and it sparked that flame of motivation to continue it -- and gave it a Title.

5. ⚠️Which WIP your most likely to finish or update next?

Either May Their Blood Boil will get an update OR I will finish Vogue in Paradis

6. 💾What is your document of your WIP/ a WIP called? (not the stories actual title but what you’ve saved it as)

Despite how meticulously I keep my Google Drive organized, there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to my Docs Names. Most of the time it is just an extremely vague phrase. But I do keep my Docs ORGANIZED. Each fandom has it's own folder, and within that there are folders for oneshots, series, ideas, and @ic3-que3n (yes - they have a whole ass folder because they put that many ideas in my fucking head.)

7. 🖍Post Any sentence(s) from your WIP.

“Smith.” At the mere mention of Erwin’s name, Hange starts laughing. “Stop that,” I sneer at them as I lean back in my chair and cross my arms defensively. Already anticipating where this is going to go – which is why I didn’t want to say anything to them in the first place. “Stop being in denial then,” Hange wheezes out between fits of laughter. “I’m not in denial!” We’ve had this argument before – anytime I bring up Erwin, Hange insists that I have a crush on him. Which I do not. “Keep telling yourself that,” Hange drawls as they wipe a tear of laughter away from their lash line. “We’re not having this discussion.” “And you’re still not getting laid.” “Hange.” I practically snarl at them. It doesn’t perturb them in the slightest. “Look me in the eyes and tell me I’m wrong,” and I’m about to answer their demand but then they keep going. “Tell me you don’t think he’s a whole ass meal. That you haven’t thought about what he’s hiding under those bland Oxford shirts and wool pants.” “I don’t –” “Or that you don’t think he’s infuriatingly good at his job.” “That has nothing –” “Or that you can’t seem to keep your eyes and ears off of him in joint meetings.” “Well that’s only –” “Or that it’s a damn shame no one has been able to take him off the market.” The silence that falls over us is uncomfortably tense. And I can’t decide if I want to crawl beneath my desk at the sudden, horrifying, realization that I can’t deny a word they just said – or leap across the table and strangle them for making me realize I can’t. “That’s what I thought,” they chime triumphantly as they lean back on their hands. Pushing a pencil cup out of its place. “Get. Out.” I snip between clenched teeth. My hands balled up in fists in the crooks of my elbows to keep from lashing out at this idiot I call my best friend.

Hmm. No. I'm holding this information incase I un-scrap the idea.

9. 🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

I have a WILD backwards-reincarnation plot cooking in my head right now. I'm going to make the CANON the reincarnation and write a whole pre-canon/part reincarnation for my blorbos. And I am ITCHING to write it like it's no ones fucking business, but I'm determined to get some other projects off my plate first so that I can give it the attention that it rightfully deserves.

10. 🤡How many WIPS are you actively working on?

Hahahahaha...ha...ha... Well. You see...That's not an easy answer. Because I am not good at math and cannot count that high... But. In the last 30 days...Going off of WIPs that I've typed at least 500 words on... 11...

actual sneeze kind of blends together and sounds sort of harsh but it's tempered by an extremely girly, softer ending

extremely itchy sounding

sneezes in fits of two to three, sometimes more

drops her head to sneeze

like she doesn't necessarily bend over or stoop down, she like cranes her neck downwards

sneezes into a tissue if available, turns away from people if not

she'll stifle the next fit if there's another after the first during a moment

"Aah-xxngh/CHT!"

stifles are almost louder than the actual sneeze gang

puts a hand over her mouth/nose when stifling

drawn out, shallow hitches over the span of a couple of seconds before a fit

no sneefies :(

you really see it in her eyes more than anything; they grow panicked and then unfocused

no allergies, doesn't get sick very easy

scents are fine

but her nose is SUPER sensitive to touch, temperature, and other sensations

literally her own hair falling onto her nose will get her hitching

you know what REALLY gets her going? static shocks.

you know what her extremely unstable electric arts give her to several parts of her body? static shocks.

you know what happens when she loses control of her arts because she sneezes so much? static freaking shocks

she thinks it's horrible and she hates it. it's a nasty little feedback loop

covering her nose helps a little

not too concerned about sneezing in front of others in and of itself, she just fears her arts getting out of control

appreciates being blessed at least... it's a small but welcome comfort

This drabble is set shortly after the events of Hypothesis Number Two (you don't have to read the fic to understand this one, but it's definitely more fun if you do :P)

"I’m too sober for this."

Moblit Berner mumbled under his breath, letting his head drop, knowing full-well alcohol was off the limits until the end of his workday, which, unfortunately, was hours away.

He sighed as his fingers continued to make quick work on the paper, not missing a single word that was being spoken in the room. He was starting to regret complying with Erwin’s request of taking the minutes of this private meeting, but, then again, there wasn’t much he could do against a direct order from a senior officer.

"There is clearly no better use for this money than Titan research. How can you not see that?" Hange was already exasperated, arms gesturing chaotically as if to emphasize the point.

"What do you know about seeing things properly, shitty glasses?"

The sound of Hange’s open palms hitting the small desk that separated both sides of the budget war almost made Moblit jump. He gulped, seeing the Squad Leader's face begin to redden. A quick glance revealed Levi was in a similar state. Even the Captain knew better than to anger Squad Leader Hange, but he'd been walking on thin ice for a couple of hours already, and by the looks of it, they were both at their wits' end.

"You know what?" Hange said with a forcefully calm voice that made shivers run down Moblit's spine, the palms slid through the wooden surface, bringing the Section Commander’s body towards Levi "I changed my mind. Please take note of this, Moblit. We really should redirect this extra money to the tea budget. But make sure we order senna. I think a laxative is just what we need to finally get the stick that's stuck up the Captain's ass!"

“Ok, ok, let’s just all calm do-”

"Bite me, four eyes!"

An amused laugh came tumbling from Hange's throat "in your dreams, shorty!"

Moblit's breath hitched in panic as the taunt on the captain’s height settled in his brain. Hange and Levi were now both leaning forward on opposite ends of the small table, staring unblinking into each other’s eyes. There was also a shift in the atmosphere, a heavy charge Berner couldn’t quite place.

He started to frantically search his mind for ways to stop that madness before they were at each other’s throats. Maybe if he faked a faint? The fourth squad was desperate enough to try that plan, and the only thing that stopped him was a single detail that would have escaped anyone who didn’t have the sharp eyes of an artist. The redness of Levi’s face, which Moblit attributed to anger, was concentrated mostly on his cheeks and had become a lot darker after the biting comment. Was Levi BLUSHING?

The realization started to dawn on him.

OH GOD!

Now the prospect of them fistfighting over the table was looking much, much better than the alternative.

“Tch. Shut up.”

Moblit’s wide-open eyes jumped anxiously from the face of one senior officer to the other, seeking any micro changes in their expressions. Levi’s eyes faltered, dropping to the Section Commander’s mouth for a second before going back up. Oh. Hange, on the other hand, let a tongue peek out, wetting the lips that were now curling in a small grin. Oh no! Oh nonononono, don’t you dare-

“Make me.”

“So, did you take notes on everything?” Erwin said as soon as Moblit walked past his office’s door, immediately laying down the document that he was reading.

“Yes, si-”

“Give them to me,” the senior officer took the papers from Moblit’s hand eagerly, quickly flipping through the pages, only minding the final section of the report. The fourth squad assistant watched silently as he skimmed through the lines, mouthing the words every once in a while. “A stick up his…”. Erwin’s eyes widened, making his thick eyebrows touch his blonde fringe. “Bite me”. Mouth agape. Then giggles. FUCKING GIGGLES.

Moblit must have looked very appalled, because when he raised his eyes from the meeting minutes to look at the assistant, Erwin immediately went back to his serious expression, his chuckles transitioning to a fake cough.

“Thank you, Brenner. I knew you’d do a thorough job. Now, I have another favor to ask.”

No, you fucking don’t!

“Yes, sir?”

“Take notes on their other bickerin- I mean, meetings. Please make sure those are thorough as well. If you could make a separate report on how you’re perceiving their relationship, that would be lovely. Thank you, you’re dismissed.” Erwin finished, going back to inspecting the previous document.

“Yes sir,” Moblit paused, pondering over the order, “on one condition.”

Erwin looked up, curiously.

“The extra money goes to the liquor budget. I’m gonna need it.”

Alright, I was tagged by both @blondeboyfriend & @mydiluc to talk about five of my favorite fics. It's definitely a good practice in self-love and appreciation!

In no particular order:

» 1. You Bury Me — Iwaizumi/Reader, 5k, pure ANGST.

This one has a very special place in my heart because of how succinctly I captured their relationship and the fear and devastation of their situation. I've spent some time trying to get a handle on angst as I have it here. That it brings out strong emotions in people is all I want as a writer.

» 2. Sweet Possession — Erwin/Reader, ~1k, Dubcon, Demons, Sex Under the Influence.

It's one of the few SNK pieces that doesn't have me gnawing on my fist anymore. I had quite a bit of fun while writing it and it was a story I wanted to do more with but I'm happy with how it came out in so few words.

» 3. In This Together — Matsukawa/Reader, ~4k, Yandere, Consensual Smut.

I received one of my favorite comments on this fic and it's never left me. It's another fun concept for me to explore because it's not a dynamic I usually write about. I would like to return to it once I find motivation and inspiration (once writer's block and burnout stop kicking my ass).

» 4. Still Stuck On You — Iwaizumi/Reader, ~3.5k, Mutual Pining, Reunion, Falling in Love Again.

Again, this one received another really impactful comment that made me appreciate it in a different light. It's actually the resolution of the main conflict of a long fic I had once plotted, the first I was going to write for Haikyuu!! The fic itself was scraped, but the relationship I had plotted has stuck with me. I think part of what makes this special for me is that I know the depth of the conflict that drove them apart, but I'm happy with what I finished.

» 5. Promises We Exchanged — Miyuki/Reader, ~12k+, Childhood Best Friends to Lovers, Slow Burn, Hurt/Comfort.

The first series to make the list, and an incomplete one at that! There is a lot of work that's been going into this one and a lot of emotional weight, too. There's a lot about this fic that I won't get into, but I'm really proud of what I have so far. I'm looking forward to finishing the story and seeing the final product.

used to be monofannish, but I began branching out after joining the multifandom exchanges scene (aka BFE).

in short: yes, but it can take months (or - I'm looking at years now) due to real life.

sometimes I prefer to 'reply' by reading and commenting on commenters' fic in turn since it's easier for me to gush about others' writing than my own; this is also a partly a matter of self-consciousness, because it (personally!) feels narcissistic for me to talk on about my own fic in comments.

6. what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

plenty of fic I write is angsty, but I usually mix even total darkness with slants of hope or more often ambiguity. you rarely get a pure distillation of atmospheres or tones in my fic, by design or not. (I'm not super married to labels like 'angst' or fluff either because they’re convenient but can also be limiting and/or simplified boxing-in categories.) the fiercest calm or to walk along the edge probably takes the cake, however.

7. whats the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

the sun coming out.

8. do you get hate on fics?

no, luckily! i'm an unknown name but it also means I rarely attract unwanted attention.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

for sure. if you know my side account (which isn't much of a secret), you'll know exactly what kind. I'm transparent and unashamed of my id and like to revel in it. let's just say I like power dynamics, complicated and unconventional queer relationships, and older women.

yes, and it's always flattering. <3 both my pieck/hange fics got translated into chinese: 从鲜血到黄金(blood to gold) and 和缓的修复(the slow mending).

I've translated Chinese fic into english and knowing what the translation process is like from the opposite direction, I'd consider my fic a translator's nightmare, so I'm grateful if anyone makes the attempt. I’ve read the translations and been amazed by the artistry, the linguistic agility in them. the translator was really skilled at carried across the nuances of the original text and adapted to differences in linguistic norms.

this might be cringe, but to quote an example (from the slow mending):

the original:

A fully uncharted ground. There’s no script for this, for a reconciliation between an erstwhile commander and a Warrior. But a meaningfulness to it all the same, perhaps: that here, at the world’s end, the ruins of everything they know, they can still reinvent themselves, and what they mean to each other—not as a clean slate, not as a forgettance of the past, but a desire to make something new of its wreckage.

[…]

Out upon the rudderless horizon, the sun is flaring like a wildfire, a thousand years’ worth of fury braided into its light. But they might survive this, after all: Hange feels hopeful, for the first time in a while.

and the translations:

这是一片全新之地。关于帕拉迪亚的指挥官与马莱战士的和解，完全没有既定的剧本。但这一切也许都有意义：在这里，在世界的尽头，在一切的废墟上，他们仍然可以重塑自己，以及他们对彼此的意义——不是纯白的新地基，不是作为对过去的遗忘，而是在残骸中创造新事物的热切希望。

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

no, and I might be open to it if time and energy weren’t limiting factors.

14. whats your all-time favorite ship?

I'm a major multishipper and this is hard to answer. at the moment -- this is cheating because it's a gen relationship, not a ship -- zenin mai & zenin maki.

15. what's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

perhaps my pieck/yelena cosmic horror WIP, and other SNK ones (ymir/historia, pieck/hange) -- I'm not attached much to SNK any more.

16. what are your writing strengths?

i've joked that 80% of comments of my fic will invariably include one of these words: gorgeous, poetic, beautiful. the runners-up are 'incisive' and 'sharp'. this sounds braggy; I'm always flattered, and I'm just listing these because I think those are the immediate data points at hand for my strengths.

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

dialogue, immediacy, and uh... this sounds glib, but tropey plots. plot in general. writing anything that cuts to the quick; my style tends to be somewhat repressed. writing long(ish) fic; my longest wordcount stands at 8.8k.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done this (for a fic for Zen Cho's Black Water Sister), for Hokkien, Bahasa Melayu, and Manglish. in line with the author’s original choice I avoided giving any glossaries or explanations. plenty of readers in the global south infer the meaning of foreign words/brand in Anglo-American settings all the time, from context. who’s to say the reverse can’t be done? I’m also not a fan of italicising foreign words and try to do the opposite: italicising English words instead. neither do I really enjoy any arguments that foreign media should be localized for Anglo-American palates; I prefer when something is specific to a culture instead of universalised, even if it may come off weird or incomprehensible.

romanisation’s a different matter. I’m fine with romanised dialogue for Malay and Japanese but with Chinese romanised dialogue (via hanyu pinyin) can be harder to parse — I’m fluent in Chinese and used to reading in Hanzi. this changes, of course, with dialects or other writing norms.

in the Chinese media/fiction I’ve read where English dialogue is what’s foreign instead, writers have written English dialogue wholesale (as in, in English words) without translating it into Chinese or translated it into Chinese.

I’m from an ex-British colony in Southeast Asia and how dialogue is conveyed and handled is one of those things that can indicate right away an author’s biases and assumed cultural defaults. even reading fic set in my or other southeast Asian countries by diaspora writers can feel strange if foreign dialogue (among other elements) is Pointed Out and made into an event; I prefer when many things that would be the default in people’s milieu here and simply baked into people’s worldviews can be written and let to pass without comment. in Black Water Sister my one petty comment is that the (Malaysian Chinese-American) main character’s initial cluelessness in Malaysia was jarring (and stereotypical), but I get that that’s part of the premise (and it was handled smoothly after). and of course, the universal bromide applies. no media ever has to cater to my taste, she typed in jest.

hard to answer because i love most of the ones I've written for multifandom exchanges but some of my favourites are the sun coming out, a map of the broken world, and lantern-black, the pitch of light.

hi Cas, my love!!! Thank you so much for the questions! Now I hadn’t written much for him but he def holds a special place in my heart! 🥹🫶🏾

2. Does your character often indulge in the things they like?

absolutely! Sometimes a little too much. He loves a little devil’s lettuce and liquor. A couple of his favorite vices..including women! (although he’s not exactly Armin-level of promiscuous). He definitely likes entertaining them. He also loves video games and when he and the guys are not making music, they’re in an Apex lobby acting like teenage boys.

6. What is your character’s fondest memory?

ooh, this is a good one! (lil spoiler here) so Connie was the very first artist that EJ ever collabed with and the project they worked on, a joint EP was Connie’s big break so to speak. A lot of his family was still in the Dominican Republic at this point and he was still trying to make it as a rapper. He remembers being with his boys in the studio and on FaceTime with his mom and brothers when it was announced that their lead single had gone #1 and was Grammy nominated in the same night. His mom was telling him how proud she was and crying. That to him was greater than any award ever!

11. Who are your character’s most important people?

hands down, his family and his boys! He adores his parents..for how hardworking they were, providing for him and his brothers. Even though they weren’t wealthy growing up by any means, they gave them the best life they could and taught them hard work. His brothers are his world and he’s an uncle so he adores his nieces and nephews too. Literally spoils them rotten with gifts. Of course, his friends mean everything to him. He often says that if it wasn’t for them pushing him to do music, he’d probably be in jail or dead because he got involved with the wrong crowd at one point. But they saved him.

19. Does your character have any friends? Best friends?

he and the rest of the Dead Boys Society are like brothers. EJ, Armin, Jean, Ony…they’re his second family. But he’s super close with Sasha! The second they met at Armin’s yacht party, that became his right hand. They’re always in tiktok videos together, being silly and stupid. (his fans SWEAR they’re dating, esp after she stars in one of his vids) but there’s no way. They’re literally twins. Him and Ony are always side by side, doing something insane. 😭 their interviews constantly go viral because they always have something slick to say.

20. Does your character have any significant others?

like I said, Mr. Connie loves the ladies but there’s one in particular that catches his eye whilst they’re on tour. And that’s the Pole Assassins’ hairstylist. She catches his eye and he’s been smitten ever since. They aren’t exactly an item or yet or anything but ya never know, that might change. 🤭

Reiner Braun lives for the simple life. After years of being in fight or flight mode, finding you was the best thing he could have ever done. In you, he found a home. Safety. And love. He loves you for many things, but one of his favorites had to be how thoughtful you were. When he comes home on a Friday night after a long day of work, he's surprised to find you in your coziest pajamas and holding out his own pair for the night. He smells the savory scent of pizza wafting from the living room and he instantly feels all of his tense muscles relax. Work talk was banned for the next 24 hours and all that mattered to him was being able to chow down on delicious food and laugh with you. What's even better is you brought out the paper plates and plastic cups which meant no dishes. No responsibilities. Just you and him and the warmth of your shared home. As the sun sets for the evening and the golden rays peek through the rainy clouds, he can't help but chuckle as he watches you fumble with the pizza box (those things can be annoying to close okay?). You huff and push it closed, cardboard be damned. When you catch those honey gold eyes, he cracks a radiant smile. Oh how Reiner loved who he could be around you.
