THE PINK MUPPET HAS YELLOW MARKINGS AND HIS SIGNATURE COLOR IS TEAL #the blue robot has red markings and her signature color is gold #NSH king of color coordination and we don't even see most of his design smh #part of me loves how inconsistent things are in rain world #do you want a solid design for moon? #a canon color palette for five pebbles? #no. they change between every single in-game piece of art #look at moon's antennae between each picture. look at them. look to the antennae #part of me is infuriated by it too #i tend to prefer when there's a solid canon to draw from #but i also enjoy how rain world is so interpretable #it makes seeing what headcanons are common in the community neat #and all the new ideas people come up with are a treat too #including everyone's interpretation of the characters' designs!

been thinking about ricks' cutie marks lately. i've always drawn rick with a portal cutie mark and recently i've also been thinking about all of them having portal cutie marks which take up more space on the flank and legs depending on how much of their life it ended up consuming (gestures towards prime's as you can see in that drawing)

which is a fun idea but also... would any ricks other than prime and c137 even have portal cutie marks since they all accepted portal tech from other ricks as opposed to making it themselves??? how fucked up would that be. yet another thing that forcibly binds the two together, them being the only two versions of themselves that have the same cutie mark. imagine how shameful it'd feel for rick having to walk around with a reminder of his worst enemy imprinted on his fucking body. like the universe is trying to tell him that they may as well be the same person, rick is destined to be no better than prime, no matter what he tries to do.
