Hi guys! I’ve been on here for a bit now and while I never had a follower goal, I do appreciate you guys who have decided to follow me! So now I’d like to celebrate you!

In light of TBB ending, and how much we'll be missing the boys, I thought this was as good as a time as ever!

Here’s the idea! I’m opening a prompt request for the dates of April 5th through May 5th, 2024 (you may start submitting now though!) and choose from the prompts below! You can choose one from each category, or just one category. It’s ok if it is just the prompt or the prompt and a brief idea. If you have a fun idea or prompt not listed, please share!

Rules: I only write SFW. I typically write for clones; I reserve the right to refuse requests which make me uncomfortable for whatever reason. I have had a few requests in the past that really unsettled me for various reasons. Or if I don't know the character. I'd hate to try to write something then upset the person because it is so ooc that it's cringy. (But if I said I would write your request and haven't yet, I just honestly haven't gotten to it :D I like to do well on the stories you guys entrust to me so it does take me a bit :D)

All of My Opinions on the Mean Girls Musical Movie

Firstly, loved all the original film references. Of course the obvious ones like having the same lines, the thing about fetch being slang from an old movie, but also!!

. Janis' suit being purple for spring fling!! and omg let's not even talk about how pretty Aul'il Cravalho was throughout the entire film. Her eye make-up was so impressive

. that part in Sexy where they're cycling through potential outfits and one of them is the white shirt with the purple bra holes cut out !!

Slightly upset about the fact they cut out Meet the Plastics and it ended up being more like, Meet Regina, but I get that. On the topic of songs, I understand a lot of them were cut out because they were "too theatrical" but I can still miss em!! Truthfully when I heard the new Stupid With Love I was devastated because it's one of my favourite songs and they fucking tiktokified it, but I actually think it works really well in the film- it gets the "cringy first proper love" aspect across, which is its purpose, so I'm happy.

THEY GOT RID OF "WHO HERE HAS EVER FELT PERSONALLY VICTIMISED BY REGINA GEORGE" which was absolutely criminal

AND THE PRINCIPAL AND MS NORBURY ARE TOGETHER which was actually adorable, and I didn't think about the fact that could be something that happened, but I'm very happy it did.

The bus at the end of Rather Be Me was such a jumpscare but also so funny. THEY MISSED OUT THE DIALOGUE TO DO IT THOUGH SADD. Plus she was so goofy that entire song?? Why was she running in and out of all of those random rooms.

The rumours spreading via phones looked half cool, but it's dated the film imo, which is what Tina Fey originally set out to avoid! Like "fetch" was made up slang so in years to come the film wouldn't seem cringy for having slang teens actually used to use at the time.

Big drum-roll: We did not see enough of Regina's meanness to actually justify her being a mean girl. A lot of it got filtered out through songs, and the majority of stuff was just her, like, responding badly to sexism?? Also tell me how I'm gonna villanise Renee Rapp she fucking SLAYED what a queen.

Also WHERE IS COACH CARR'S SEXUAL ASSAULT. THAT'S THE WHOLE REASON MS NORBURY GETS ARRESTED!!?? That, to me, is one of the biggest indicators in the original film of just how powerful the "Mean Girls" are, they know about this, and the other teachers don't. Not only that, but it highlights just how immature they are, because they don't do anything about it. They're girls who run the school, without having any sympathy or context to do something about bad stuff they know happens. It's just "a funny thing to write". Not having that made me sad tbh.

Changing the line to "you wrote this" in World Burn was clever but I wish we got to see more of the girls turning on each other, rather than direct fighting.

KEVIN G BEST SONG IN THE MUSICAL

Where was the 4 way phone call, DEVASTATING. We literally did not see the plastics actually interact with each other. There was no meanness, no impact, all we got were the "events" when OTHER THINGS HAPPEN. You could say it lost a lot of filler, but the filler was actually context! And part of what makes the film so good!

Devastated she doesn't say "damn you're mine" in Someone Gets Hurt. I do think it's hilarious they just didn't make the actor guy for Aaron sing at all lol

"That filter you use looks just like me" WHY. I appreciate the change from the line about weight but like, this DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. at least say "that filter you use has nothing on me" THE WHOLE POINT IS SHE'S ABOVE IT

I didn't like the extended version of Revenge Party, sorry, too used to the old version

And I did not like the girlbossification of Sexy. I get it's supposed to be powerful like "watch me as I run the world in shoes I cannot walk in" but I feel like the whole point of "I expect to run the world in shoes I cannot walk in" is supposed to point out the irony, like, being slightly critical of "modern feminism". I will say though that the wobble from avantika as she says that is superb.

Overall I thought the film was enjoyable and a nice blend of the original film and the musical, but I think both ended up losing individual meaning because of how much they intersect. You don't have time to appreciate the lyrics and power of the musical because you don't hear them all, and some of them get cut, and you can't follow the plot in a meaningful way because the songs are happening, and they skip a lot of context to fit them in.

Would totally watch it again though, if only to see Renee Rapp say "get in loser" cos she actually nailed that

playing omori is legit like. a worse version of any yume nikki fangame. the game design is so poor and considering how long it took to even come out, with allegations the creator used the kickstarter money for personal purchases… it’s kind of insane and inexcusable how bad it is. idc how much you like the story if it takes 25 miserable hours to get there!!

EXACTLYYY and honestly playing through it, it felt so... passionless. I think its kind of obvious that omocat only expected to have a few backers instead of the kick-starter blowing up and overfunding her rpgmaker game.

For some comparison:

Undertale : USD$51,124 kickstarter budget, took 2 years to release

Hollow Knight: A$57,000 kickstarter budget, took 3 years to release

Omori: USD$203,300 kickstarter budget, took SEVEN years to release

It was a known fact before omoris release that omocat took the money and spent it on their clothing line and shop (in fact one of the promos for their shop opening was that visitors would get to play a demo for omori, which enraged the kickstarter backers who had been left in radio silence for years and were apparently not even going to be able to play the demo unless they went to the shop, and then the demo was released on a fucking dropbox link.) And for a while a bunch of backers fully believed they had been scammed. Plus one of the funding goals was to make omori available for the 3ds, which not only is impossible for the rpgmaker engine, but also by the time the game released the 3ds was defunct.

And you know, maybe its just because omocat is an artist who didn't really know much about game design. Maybe that's why it got so messy. Sure! It could be that! But even then, by art standards, omori lacks A LOT. only the main characters get to have face portraits despite there being many reocurring relevant characters both in dream and real world, and ALL the main characters have the same head and bangs like they were made on a fucking picrew. The monsters and npc designs were absurdly lacking (like come on look at the sprout moles) and as much they bragged about slime girls composing the ost it was actually pretty damn mediocre. The pixel art too, for the most of the dream world its repeated assets over and over (the forest is SO ugly with all the reused trees) when it's not referencing yume nikki imagery

Also sorry but i have to mention again how hideous the forest areas look with the same trees copypasted everywhere. Like damn dude at least change the colors a little.

Not to mention the gorgeously made pixel part with that mspaint spray effect (its ugly. Im saying its ugly. What the fuck is this dithering.)

And the funny thing is that the (real world) story is actually pretty solid for a horror game. But in order to experience it you have to sit through extremely cringy, annoying and excessive dialogue written by adults who don't really know how kids talk and interact with each other. The dream world segments take up 80% of the game and every single arc in it SUCKS. They're overdragged, uninteresting, unfunny and obnoxious. But haha look if you do this you get a jumpscare! Isn't this game so deep????

And after omori got released it feels like you just can't do creepy cute things anymore without being compared to it. Its tiring 😑 fuck poomori

↠ author’s notes: even now i’m hesitant to post this bc of the fandom’s general characterization of ghost but i also really like how i wrote this so-- yolo. it’s based off of a dialogue prompt (the first sentence) and completely unbeta-ed-- also yolo. i really suck at endings and at this point i’m not sure that’ll ever change.

“I don’t hate you. God, I could never hate you.”

Simon, with his head still in his hands, snorted. “You should. I don’t deserve—”

You, up until then, had remained stationary on the other side of the coffee table. Now, you made your way around to kneel before Simon. A touch on his knee made him flinch— almost jerk away before the fight seemed to leave him in a rushed breath.

“There’s so much you don’t deserve, Simon,” you said, reaching up to wrap your hands around his wrists. “This isn’t one of those things. You deserve me and this life and good things, Simon.”

“I’m— I don’t want you to get hurt because of me,” he said, digging the heels of his hands into his eyes. “Everyone around me gets hurt.”

You sighed and glanced at the file sitting on the couch beside him. One of his team had gotten hurt during a routine mission and as with all things related to Simon, it had triggered something unexpected. He so rarely talked about his past but what you had pieced together painted a very unpretty picture.

“Everyone gets hurt, Simon,” you said, careful to be as gentle as you could without tapering into pity. “It’s a part of our job. You can’t save everyone, and you can’t blame yourself for their decisions. You know that.”

Simon remained resistant, pulling away from you to reach for his mask. The trembling of his hands sent it to the floor instead, but the way he leaned to fetch it left him open and vulnerable.

Wrapping your arms around his neck forced him to stop before he could get his fingers on his only safety net and, at the risk of hurting her, he relented. Quicker than you expected, his arms came around your back, and you were pulled up to your knees to make the hold easier.

“I don’t want to lose you,” Simon tried this time, breathing the words into your hair.

The sound of his voice was fragile and a testament to his own state of mind. It told you how you would need to proceed if you wanted to draw him back from whatever brink he currently stood on. There had been many moments like this for both of you after how long you had been together. You knew there was no way to absolve him of these feelings, but you could coax him down to reality again— at least for a while.

“I’m here, Simon,” you said, nosing at the curve of his jaw. The day’s worth of stubble scratched your skin, and you could smell sweat and gun oil and the chemical newness from the mask that he wore. “Right now, I’m right here, and I don’t plan on going anywhere.”

You pressed your hand flat over his heart as you said it. Through his shirt, it raced too fast, beating against your palm like it wanted to escape the confines of his ribs. Not for the first time, you wished there was some way to take this fear from him. Anger over a loss you could take, but seeing Simon so broken by fear was terrifying. It was an unnatural thing to witness, like Soap frowning or Price turning down a cigar.

Simon covered your hand with his and let out a long breath. The next inhale was deep, and he held it for a handful of seconds before it was let out. Slowly, with each breath, the pace of his heart settled into something more regular, and you knew he was back with you when chapped lips touched your temple.

“‘M sorry,” he mumbled, and the layers to it were endless.

“You never have to apologize,” you answered, pulling back to touch his face with the tips of your fingers. “Just means you’re human, Simon.”

“Only because of you, love.” He turned into your hand and dragged his lips across your palm. “You remind me I am.”

“Always,” you said, smiling at the tender show of affection. Not that it was rare with Simon, but after months of pretending they were anything but superior and subordinate, it was a relief to have it again. “Come back to bed, now?”

“Yeah, love. ‘M right behind you.”

Pairing: Jake Lockley x fem!reader (with hints of Steven Grant and Marc Spector x fem!reader)

Warning: fluff, swear words, misunderstanding situations, Marc and Steven being overprotective, cringy dialogue because I can.

A/n: this was requested by my 🌱 anon, I hope you like it (and so sorry for the wait!)

Summary: It's always a mess to stuck with 3 person at the same time.

"Ugh, where the hell is the first aid kit...these are all books" Jake grunted in frustration while dragging his body around the flat.

It's 8am in the morning for god's sake, his body is all bloody from fighting, Khonsu is right behind his ears telling him the mission is not over, and now he doesn't know where the fuck is the first aid kid. Can this get any worse?

"Steven? Marc?!" A voice called out from outside, along with a knock on the door.

Great, it just gets worse. Jake praised God that the woman would just leave after hearing no answers whatsoever. He even held his breath and stood still like a statue.

"Are you guys okay?!! Why don't you answer your phone? And I see a huge blood trail leading to the flat! I swear to God if you did something stupid-" Y/n's voice was cut off when Jake opened the door, shirtless and still bloodied.

2 pair of eyes met each other and Jake swears he has seen the most beautiful woman in his life, while you, on the other hand, think the man in front of you is the grossest man ever.

"eW-ew, Marc! There is blood all over you. Oh the smell... The first aid kit is on the top shelf, and you can't keep getting away with this Marc, do you know how many times Steven has complained to me?" Y/n passed through Jake and continued rambling, oblivious to the fact that the man in front of her is not her beloved friend.

Jake can't help but turn around. His eyes watch each step of Y/n like a predator watching its prey. "Eres hermoso (you're beautiful)'' Jake blurted out.

"Hm? What did you just said Marc?"

"I'm not Marc princesa (princess)"

"And Steven would never let the blood stick on his face, shut it Marc"

"I'm Jake"

This time, Y/n is the one holding her breath (and standing still like a statue). The man in front of her is Jake. The one Marc and Steven are very well aware exists but don't know much about?

'Shit' you can't help but think of what this man is capable of, god, maybe he will kill you, shoot you right here if he wants to.

Jake rolled his eyes looking at Y/N. Yea, she is cute, but the first aid kit is cuter right now. Having remembered what you had said, Jake reached for the top shelf and felt relieved when his hand touched a small box, but before he could even do anything with it, you rushed to him and forced him to sit down on a chair.

"I don't know you, but I have helped Marc and Steven with injuries like this countless times. I...I can help" Y/n said while refusing to meet Jake's eyes.

Her eyes slowly trailed down to his chest...and his abs...okay maybe the floor is more reasonable to look at (A/n: girl just say you like it 💀).

The two of them stay silent as Jake too tired to give a damn and Y/n too shy to say anything.

The whole flat is filled with awkward tension, so thick to the point you can cut it with a knife, that it's until Jake decided to speak up, "Don't tell Marc and Steven about me, I'm trying to keep my identity low."

Y/n was a bit taken back when she heard it, but she still agreed with a small nod, giving Jake the satisfaction of having the upper hand, and it also gave him the need to give Y/n a compliment.

Only one, but enough to make her knees wobble.

"Good girl"

Ever since that day, Y/n has been secretly hoping Jake would 'appears' again. There is something about him that she can't see in her 2 friends, maybe because of his manner. Or his personality? Whatever it is, Y/n is so doomed.

She has been avoiding Steven and Marc because they keep reminding her of Jake, but this didn't go unnoticed by the two men, and that led to a mischievous plan.

"Guys? Hellooo, it's me" Y/n knock on the door while waiting anxiously for her friends to open it. She wants to apologize for her recent rude behavior and maybe (just maybe) tell them a little bit about Jake.

The door slowly creaked open, and before Y/n could say anything, she was met with an intense glare. So intense, and so familiar to the point she 'accidentally' yelled out "J-JAKE?"

But to Y/n's surprise, the man yelled out even louder than her, "I KNEW IT, STEVEN, YOU WERE RIGHT, THE GLARE WORK"

What is happening right now? Is Marc yelling? And did Steven also participate in this? So many thoughts flooded into Y/n's mind, but one thing was for sure: they know she has met and interacted with Jake.

While you are busy thinking of anything to say, Steven has already taken over the body and is now running to the bed, chaining his foot to the old shackle.

"Bloody hell, I'm doing this. I'm going to chain myself up, that way the evil guy can't hurt you Y/n, you can't stop me!" Steven said frantically with shaky hands.

Y/n can't help but let out a long sigh with a fake cry. First Steven and Marc knew about Jake, then they knew SHE knew about Jake, and now they're convinced Jake is going to murder her at any given moment.

It's going to take a whole day to explain everything, and you're definitely not amused with it.

Channeling characters motivations and voices. Writing the body language of characters.

What are your writing weaknesses? Writing group scenes, descriptions of mundane activities, graphic whump without falling into melodrama, making the world my characters are in feel real and not like a novela.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? All for it, and I dont think a translation is even necessary right next to it, if the context is strong enough to give us the understanding. Add the full translation at the end notes though.

FINALLY saw Mutant Mayhem, and it was really good!!! I might wanna give it a second watch later along with other Turtle stuff rewatches and do a more in-depth review then, but I'll say the spoiler-free highlights now.

The obvious striking thing is the film visual style, which going in I knew broadly as "like Spider-verse", but that feels like a gross oversimplification for this movie's fantastic look. It's a mix between grungy realism, rough sketchiness (my mom said it looked like one of my drawings, which, yeah I'll take it), and oddly some vague claymation vibes? The turtles especially feel like chunky molded clay in the best way. It's a super cool style that definitely stands out on its own but still feels thoroughly Ninja Turtles despite not quite looking like any one individual prior incarnation. A bit of 2012 with the grungy blockiness, a bit of Rise with the vibrant expressive animation, and a heaping dosage of just general "this would've been the coolest thing ever in the 80's."

Other major high point is just how... exceptionally pleasant the movie is. It's arguably the most light-hearted Turtles incarnation to date, even beating out Rise in terms of friendly vibes... well, barring the bottom-shelf swears and on-screen puke, personally could've gone without the latter but oh well. From the moment we see the turtles we get to see how much this movie appreciates the mundane, with dialogue, visual details, and quick gags that just... I dunno, feel natural? Like, this movie pulls of an astounding amount of reference humor that feels like it'd be irritating if it weren't so believably honest. Yeah, if they were teenage brothers they would say Mikey's head looks like a mix between Hey Arnold and Stewie Griffin. Of course they would. Also the "cringy" music choices rubbed me the right way too, again this movie's tone is so sincere that I can't help but love these too. My mom also specifically cited this as a high point. The "pleasant vibes" praise extends throughout the movie, but I think going fully in-depth on that point would require spoilers. Rest assured, this movie's an exceptionally feel-good watch.

I guess only critique is one I saw coming but because I was dodging spoilers I didn't have the full expectations for. I heard vaguely that there were gonna be a lot of classic mutants showing up for this movie, hence the title I suppose, but I was worried it was gonna be a Spider-Man 3 kind of situation where it'd be constant bad guys that don't leave much individual impact. Which... is both true and not true for this movie. It's not THAT detrimental by any means, but I do still wish the individual characters got to do more. I like what they do get to do, but only a couple actually get to do much, even Bebop and Rocksteady barely have a few lines despite being THE mutant bad guys and having some of the biggest celebrity voices. I think maybe even two or three of them could've been cut and their presence wouldn't have been missed, but I can also appreciate the novelty that these characters probably wouldn't get a big screen debut otherwise. I dunno, maybe I'm just petty these are all classic picks and aren't new characters from my eras of turtles. Fishface for the sequel, come on folks if I believe then you can too.

On that note though, I am hoping that obvious sequel bait goes somewhere, because this movie deserves it. I wanna see this incarnation again, which... I mean I'm pretty sure did well enough to where it's already in the works? If Spider-Verse is gonna be a trilogy (still haven't seen Across yet btw) then this movie certainly deserves at least one followup.

But yeah, great movie! I think I do have to put this as my favorite TMNT movie ever now, so uh... sorry to the original two live action movies and none of the others.

(also I was gonna do a season 1 review of TMNT 2012 but I started it a while ago right as I finished it early in January but then it got overwhelming and I didn't have as much as I wanna say so I don't know what I'm doing with that yet, I might move on to season 2 but idk there's still a lot I wanna say about the show but I still don't know the format. Also expect Things I Love #4 about a completely unrelated show I'm due to finish a rewatch of soon)
