Jason contacting Kyle out of the blue one evening, and he sounds stressed. Kyle eventually pries the reasoning out of him after about twenty minutes of trying to get Jason comfortable enough to talk slower. There's a deep breath, and then a pause. Kyle knows Jason's come across something, but he couldn't make out what he said before in the rush of word vomit.

When people argue Jason wouldn't be a Red Lantern it's always like "He's doing it out of love" and it's like. First off he's mad about what happened to himself and that's not like. A flaw??? And second off ATROCITUS is acting because of love. "Rage not born of tragedy is but fear or greed in disguise"

yeah! say that!! jason is literally thee poster boy for the red lantern corps: something horrible and unfair happens to him, he's pissed about that happening to him, he wants revenge for it. it's literally the backstory of every red lanterns, from atrocitus to dex starr and everyone in between, he'd fit right in. i hate the 'he's doing it out of love' excuse because that bullshit, he does it because he's angry and wants his father to do something about it, and yes there's some love there but it's nothing compared to the anger that motivates his plan. jason is a victim's righteous anger and i wish people stopped seeing that as a bad thing

but also. wish ppl actually read and interacted with lantern lore because the star sapphires are not what those people think they are, not at all
