A little blurb with Kara Danvers, maybe something about betrayal please?

"Y/n! Please open the door, I know you're home." did you hear Kara screaming behind the door while she pleadingly banged her fist against the hard wood; almost pulling it off it's hinges. With tears in your eyes, you took another sip of your scotch and carefully placed the glass on the table before you pushed yourself off the sofa you were sitting on and moved towards the door.

Your heavy feet made the laminate crack under you before it went quiet again. You stood still in front of the door, one hand on the handle while the other rested flat on it - two voices in your head arguing whether you should open or keep it closed.

"Please."

A deep breath drawn through your lungs, you teared open the door and your girlfriend appeared in front of you, her eyes glittering in the light of your hallway- her mascara slightly smeared.

She must have cried too.

Kara found herself staring into your angry, bloodshot and glassy eyes. You had your arms crossed over your chest, almost showing her that she wasn't welcomed but without a word, the blonde stepped into your apartment, not taking her eyes off of you. The blonde followed your movements, trying to figure out what was going on inside your mind, but practically already knowing every single thought.

She knew that she was in the wrong, she should have confessed to you who she really was at the beginning of your relationship, just like she did with James and Winn. She knew that you would figure it out someday, but hadn’t expected that it would come so suddenly and wrong.

„What was the problem?“ you asked, your voice croaked in the middle of the sentence, breaking the unbearable silence in the room that was haunting both of you and Kara could tell that her girlfriend was on the verge of crying. Before she could answer in any way, you continued. "Six months. Six whole months and you lied to me every single day. Why?"

The blonde could feel the knot in her throat forming bigger. She didn't know what to say because in the end, she knew it didn't matter to you. You wouldn't believe it anyway and that killed her inside.

"I know that you are upset with me but-" and once again you interrupted her, you just couldn't stand her voice and her being there at the moment. „Who even are you?"

Kara´s features changed abruptly. Her pressed lips were now wide open while her eyes started to cover with tears as she stared at you in disbelief. She had no idea what to answer - your sentence had thrown her off course.

She broke out of her brief stupor and walked towards you full of expectation. Putting your hands in hers, she gripped them tightly and tried to catch your gaze, but to no avail. You looked desperately at her warm hands and the tears that fell on them and mixed together with hers.

"Please, Y/n. Don't do that." Fearfully, her heart was beating wildly in her chest so that you could even feel it in your hands. Gently she pulled your chin towards hers and wiped away individual tears that ran down your face. She was relieved when you let her do that without facing away - she took that as a good sign but her heart broke at your sight.

She never wanted to hurt you or even make you cry, she had sworn that to herself from the start.

"I need to time to think." you whispered and let go of her grip. Without looking at her, you turned around and let her stand there alone, while you walked back towards the couch where you picked up your half-full glass and drank the contents with one gulp.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You've hurt me and it feels like a betrayal, Kara. What do you think I mean by that?" you screamed and stared at her with a stiff but intrusive look. Kara was shocked at your behavior and was afraid of the next sentence that left your mouth. More tears started to leave her shimmering blue eyes. "I need time to find out whether I can and want this anymore."

“Brainy!” a voice called from across the room. Querl flinched as the door hit the wall with a loud bang. He didn’t have to turn to see who it was, judging by the way everyone turned to attention at the sudden presence, he knew.

Some looked towards him with a look of worry, some with a smirk thinking he was in trouble. Querl only sighed and continued typing away as Alex stalked over.

“Come on, or we’re going to be late,” Alex said once she stood beside him. Querl spared a look before turning back to his computer.

“I am more then okay with that.”

“Come on Brainy,” Alex said, shutting the monitor off, “you’ve had this appointment for over two weeks.”

“As I recall, you were the one who booked it for me,” Brainy said, sending her a pointed look.

Alex raised an eyebrow and leaned down. “Listen, your wedding is in over a month and you still need a suit.”

“And?”

“You were the one who told me that you wanted to experience the whole 21st century wedding. And going suit shopping is one of them. I’m just doing what you wanted.”

“You live to annoy me, don’t you?” Querl said flatly as Alex pried the keyboard out of his hands and pulled him to his feet.

“Guess we’ll have to find out.” Querl refrained from groaning and allowed Alex to drag him out of the room.

They spent the rest of the day trying on suits. And Querl can admit, he had fun that day with Alex, though he could have done with the shopping. He couldn’t complain too much, by the end of the day he had a suit he liked and a very happy Alex.

WIP Wednesday

Technically Thursday for me already, but whatever! 🤣

I was tagged by the lovely @rainbow-nerdss to share a snippet from a WIP, so have a blurb from a "Steve gets vecna'd" idea that's been bouncing in my skull for a while. I'm currently writing a scene from it for the @steddieholidaydrabbles. I'm collaborating with the amazing @house-of-the-moving-image on some of these, so there'll even be art!!! 🤩

Steve's fingers twitch in the grass and Eddie's gaze flies to his face, half expecting to find his eyes wide open and sightless, half expecting him to start floating again and fuck, what will he do, he can't do shit, please, God, he can't-

But Steve’s eyes are closed, his face relaxed. Eddie sighs in relief. Then, following a sudden impulse, he reaches out and tucks the daisy into Steve's hair.

He's no hero and he can't do anything to protect him, but he can make sure he rests while he can, can make sure he has music and beauty and sunlight surrounding him. It's what he deserves.

He deserves so much more.

The harsh snap of the tape ending almost makes him jump out of his skin. Steve flinches awake with an adorable little snort, hand flying up to pull the headphones off. His eyes dart around wildly for a second or two before they land on Eddie and he sags back to the ground.

"Hey," he smiles, voice still sleep-slurred and hoarse. "Sorry, did I doze off?"

The flower is still in his hair.

Eddie snorts, pillows his arms on his knees so that he can hide behind them.

"Are you kiddin' me, dude? You can sleep all you want."

Steve hums vaguely and props himself up on one elbow, busies himself with opening the walkman and turning the tape.

"Feels wrong though," he mutters. "Y’know… just chilling here while the kids-"

"Stevie," Eddie says. Maybe it comes out a bit too harsh, because those pretty eyes blink up at him, confused and a bit hurt. He groans.

"The kids are old enough," he then continues, more softly. "They have Wheeler and Buckley with them. Not to mention Supergirl. You don't have to-"

"-babysit them anymore, I know." Steve flops back into the grass, worries his bottom lip between his teeth. "I still feel useless, though."

They stay silent for a while. The wind is getting chillier, now that the sun is dipping behind the trees, and Eddie is starting to shiver in his flannel.

"Thank you, though," Steve mumbles. "For staying around, I appreciate it."

He sounds so small and lost and scared. Eddie plucks another flower so he won't have to look at his face. Hopes that Supergirl will tear Vecna's shrivelled black heart out through his ass and squish it under her shoe like a bug.

Although I prefer fandoms, I'm open to OC x OC as well. Seeking stories with the main themes of romance, bondage/BDSM, and damsels in distress. There are a number of different scenarios that we can play out. I am asking for your female character to be a damsel in distress - often getting herself into situations where she is over her head, sticking her nose in business where it does not belong, etc. It lands her kidnapped, tied up, and in need of a rescue from the hero, her boyfriend/husband. This is not saying your character has to be a doormat or useless by any means. She can definitely be a strong-willed, smart character - which can play a part into why she is always finding herself in situations like these. I am looking to play out scenes where she is rescued before the bad guys can do anything too bad to her, but we can discuss exactly how much happens before the rescue. Her partner saves her, they share some risky intimacy while still in the kidnapper's lair, and escape to move on for their next adventure. Also, if we do fandoms and we are able to incorporate this theme into the fandom rp, that would be wonderful too! If we're doing OC x OC, I would love the chance to suggest potential face claims for your character. In return, you can do the same for my character. Here are some brief plot blurbs:

Oh, of course! Those two are the slow burn that keeps burning apparently. They love, they pine, they ignore their feelings, they repeat.

Now, as you might know, this blog is about incorrect quotes in the Gallagher Girls universe. So, before we get to how I think Rachel really falls for Joe, I’d like to direct you to this exchange (that honestly isn’t far off from how I really think it happened):

This would be after Joe wakes up from his coma, but before they tell him about Matt. Bold dialogue from Supergirl.

He’d woken up a few times now and each time Rachel was there. Always the first thing he saw. Always coming into focus, easily. This time, however, as she became clearer he thought she looked sadder than she had previously. She wasn’t looking directly at him, rather past him, as if she was lost in thought. In a scratchy voice, he asked if she was okay, bringing her attention to him.

She adjusted her expression quickly, assuring him she was fine. He didn’t believe her, but it’s not like he was in a position to argue. She stood up, fluffing his pillows that didn’t need it.

“Rachel,” he tried again. This time, she paused. Probably because he’d brought his hand up to brush her arm. It was the most he’d moved so far. She kept her eyes on his outstretched hand as she sat back down. With her face closer to his level now his hand was able to reach the ends of her hair. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she repeated. She reached over him, now smoothing his blankets. His hand fell away as she was kind of over him, the ends of her hair reaching his covered chest.

“You know,” he started, sounding like he might be going back to sleep again. “You look beautiful. The weight of all these worlds on your shoulders.”

“You don’t have to make me feel better-,” Rachel said. At least she tried to. He was in the hospital bed, she should make him feel better. But as she turned her face to tell him exactly that he managed to lean forward.

And kiss her.

Super Titles Round-Up (March 1994)

This month: Superboy gets knocked around, Supergirl gets disrespected, and Steel fights a dentist. Also, the JLA visits Metropolis! For two pages.

Superboy #2 (March 1994)

Superboy's a big punching bag in this issue. First, some Hawaiian mobsters shoot at him with sci-fi weapons for busting their smuggling operation and making fun of them.

Then, he's asked to protect a priceless spear supposedly belonging to a Hawaiian god called Lono, but a superpowered stripper called Knockout shows up and steals it, even though she thinks "old gods are really overrated." She also punches him a whole lot, and kisses him once... which is pretty creepy considering she's hundreds of years old (spoilers) and he's 16 (or like three months old if you wanna get technical).

Once Knockout has gotten her rocks off, she just gives the spear back to Superboy and goes away -- only for some crazy old guy in futuristic cowboy gear to materialize in front of him, sucker punch him, and re-steal the spear.

Despite everything, Superboy says he's liking Hawaii and will stick around for a while, just because his reporter crush Tana Moon lives here now (the super-statutory rapist probably helps, too).

Supergirl #2 (March 1994)

Supergirl FINALLY begins suspecting that her beloved Lex Luthor Jr. might not be the most honest guy ever after meeting a rich lady called Elizabeth Perske, who happens to be one of Lex Sr.'s ex-wives (the former Mrs. Luthors were first mentioned 8 years ago in Man of Steel #4, but it took this long for one to show up). Thanks to Perske's warnings, Supergirl decides to snoop on the LexCorp employees performing tests on her and finds out that they all think she's a pushover and a "bimbo" for doing whatever Lex says without questioning him.

Eventually, she decides to use her invisibility powers to spy on the scientist in charge of her tests and overhears him talking to poor Dr. Happersen (who's in pretty poor shape after being lasered by Bizarro in Superman #87) about something called "Operation Protomatter."

The issue ends with Supergirl confronting the scientist guy and violently demanding to know the truth behind these “tests” LexCorp has been running on her, right NOW. Meaning next issue.

Steel #2 (March 1994)

Steel's nephew Jemahl gets in trouble with his gang because they think he snitched on them to Steel, plus they're still upset about having their asses kicked by his uncle John Henry (you know, the one who looks just like Steel). Steel has to save the little punk from a robot-armed gangster who calls himself "Amalgam" -- not because he's two universes merged together, but because he's also a dentist. Seriously. Is this the only dentist supervillain?

Anyway, Amalgam mentions he's working for Steel's old bosses at Amertek during the fight, so John decides to bust their asses NOW. Meaning next issue.

Justice League America #86 (March 1994)

Superman has a brief cameo in this issue just to re-confirm to the League that he isn't re-joining the team now that he's back to life (not until they considerably upgrade the roster and creative team, anyway). But at least they get to hear him say "thanks" for helping out against Doomsday, so the trip to Metropolis wasn't totally wasted.

And... I was gonna do a blurb on the Superman: Under a Yellow Sun graphic novel that also came out on March ‘94, but after re-reading it I think it deserves its own post, so that’s it for this round up! Bye.

A/n: This was probably just a little HC thingy but I wanted to do a little blurb to this because I really love this idea.

"Dammit, fuck ouch!"

Your sudden yelp made Maggie drop her fork in shock and look up from her meal. She glanced at you questioningly and watched you clutch your upper arm tightly as if you were trying to save this spot from something.

"What happened?" Maggie asked as she bent closer to you over the table to assess what had happened to you. But she knew that you didn´t hear anything from her question- you were too agitated to even listen and she couldn´t quite understand it.

"I just got stung by a wasp- shit." you said slowly, the panic clearly audible in your shaky voice.

"Ouch Baby Danvers.. I guess you have to embrace your destiny as a Wasp-Girl now." The brunette laughed and pushed your hands away with her fingers to take a closer look at the wound. At first glance, it looked like a normal wasp sting that she had to live through several times.

However, the wound turned red quickly and began to pulsate and swell uncomfortably beneath her fingers. "Wait… You´re not allergic are you?"

"I am deadly allergic to wasps. In fact, Alex and I are. One sting can kill us and send both of us to afterlife if action is not taken immediately." you stated and she simply nodded while pulling out her phone to inform Supergirl to pick you up and take you to the hospital for treatment.

The brunette was shocked by the sudden turnaround of this lunch and she realized once again how quickly something beautiful could turn into something unexpected and life-threatening. But at the same time she was also mad at her girlfriend and you for not telling her about your allergy- after all it was important to act properly when something like this happened.

"Maggie, my legs start to tingle and I think my tongue is swelling up. You need to hurry, now."

also please imagine Brainy confessing to Winn (probably in the AU where the two of them and Kara are married) that he’s had a crush on him for years

It’s a random conversation too, it’s unprompted.

....I didn't mean to make a thing out of this.

It’s a quiet night in, it’s Winn’s turn to make supper, Brainy’s helping. Kara’s in the living room reading while Alura’s somewhere playing, giggling can be heard throughout the house.

There’s soft music playing along with Brainy's knife hitting the cutting bored and the sizzling from the frying pan. Suddenly when there's a lull in the conversation, Brainy voices, “you know, I’ve had a crush on you for years Winn.”

It's so out of the blue and unexpected that Winn almost burns himself on the pan. Blinking, he turns to look at Brainy. "You what? When?"

"Yes, it started a few months after we met."

"I'm sorry-you what?"

"Oh yeah," Kara pipes in from the living room. "Had this huge crush on you too. Couldn't stop talking about you."

"But I thought You had a crush on Kara at the time," Winn says dumbly.

"I did. It was a confusing time for awhile. It wasn't until someone said that it was okay to love two people at the same time." It was Alex, and she has spent a lot of long nights listening to Brainy wax poetry about Kara and Winn from Brainy.

"Don't feel so bad, Brainy," Kara says in a tone that means trouble for Winn. He whips around and glares at her to shut up, Kara. You have no idea what you're talking about. "Winn had a crush on you too. I loved hearing all the things Winn loved about you."

"Oh shut up, you spent the same amount of time gushing about Brainy as I did. You have no room to talk," Winn accused.

Face red, Kara hid her face in the book. Laughing, Winn turns back to the oven. "Guess we we're all idiots back then."

"Yes, but we're here now and that is all that matters."

When last we saw Linda she had just helped her friend Timmy get adopted and comment a few times in the issue that she’s not ready to be adopted because her cousin, Superman, told her that she needed to wait until she mastered her powers. I wonder what adventure awaits her this issue!

...Oh.

“Supergirl’s Foster Parents!” is our story this time, and as our splash panel informs us that she’s been adopted by Mom and Dad Dale.

Hmm. Dale. that certainly isn’t “Danvers”. Even if I didn’t already know that Linda eventually gets adopted by the Danvers family, and that she is definitely still an orphan a few issues later, both the intro blurb and Supergirl’s thought bubble already make this set-up sound sketchy as hell!

We start our story with some random child at the orphanage approaching Linda to tell her that she’s got a faraway look in her eyes, somethings that I think the fellow children of Midvale Orphanage would quickly get used to seeing. Linda tries to play it off like she was daydreaming, but the truth is that she was using her telescopic vision to view an army rocket that’s falling from the sky after a botched launch.

So Linda finds a secluded place and changes into her Supergirl outfit and flies to stop the rocket from falling. She grabs it and swings the rocket upward so that it can finish its mission of establishing a satellite in orbit.

It’s kind of odd that the rocket would be able to carry on and do its job after nearly falling out of the sky. But somehow it seems to work out.

Once back at the orphanage, the kids are listening to a newscast about the rocket. The news anchor calls the event a miracle, while Linda thinks to herself about how the scientists will never know how it happens and winks at the reader.

I’m not kidding.

The very next panel transitions to later in the day where Linda and some of the other girls are helping in the kitchen when the Dales arrive at the orphanage.

Side note before we get into this main story. The boat that Supergirl is towing in the splash panel and the rocket that she just saved never come up again. They were completely throwaway events in the issue presumably to just show off Kara’s strength and pad out the page count.

I’ve started to notice this about the stories from this time period, they often have just random events occur that have nothing to do with the main story and doesn’t really give us much insight (like this time, we already know Supergirl is strong).

Just a random thought I’ve had while reading. It’s funny that back then they needed to add in random, non-sequitur events to pad out books that were already two to three stories long, and now lots of time we can’t complete one story in just one issue.

Changing times, indeed. Anyway, back to the Dales!

The couple immediately take a keen interest in Linda, so to combat that she uses her x-ray vision to burn the roast that she was baking, hoping that “they won’t want a careless girl who spoils food!”, according to Linda.

Which, deciding you wouldn’t want a kid just because she can’t cook is awful. But, DIFFERENT ERAS. Just like I talked about last time, our expectations as a society have shifted greatly over the years.

Plus, Linda’s plan doesn’t even work because apparently Mr. Dale likes a roast charred. You do you, buddy.

The Dales absolutely love Linda and decide to adopt her. Linda feels she has to accept as turning the opportunity down would raise suspicions. According to Miss Hart, the orphanage’s headmistress, there’s a thirty day trial period which honestly, just by her bringing it up tells you how things are going to go.

Even while they’re still in the car, they begin lavishing Linda with presents, which makes Linda hopeful that they’ll be nice parents.

They finally get home to the Dales’ residence: a traveling circus.

It seems that the Dales run the sideshow for a traveling circus and they want Linda to be their new Strong Girl act, using rigged props to make people think that Linda’s actually very strong (yes Linda notes the irony in this).

Father Dale shows off his “Colonel Dale” outfit for the sideshow, which is just a hat and a handlebar mustache that makes him look sinister as hell.

Linda is impressed by the clever props and thinks it’s going to be fun for her. She also makes it a point to state that running a sideshow isn’t a dishonest way to make a living, despite no one questioning it up until that point, which (a) sounds like she’s trying to convince herself more than anyone, and (b) is obvious foreshadowing.

And the very next panel after this one shows Mom Dale putting up a sign for “POWER TONIC! SECRET FORMULA OF MEDICINE MEN! ONLY $10 A BOTTLE!”

Quick side note: $10 by 1959 standards is $101.78 BY 2022 STANDARDS!

This is an obvious scam, even if Mom Dale didn’t actively admit in the panel that it was by thinking to herself “The yokels will be fooled by her fake ‘strong girl’ act and the fake tonic we’re selling!”. But she did think that to the audience, and any pretenses that we were supposed to like these people are officially out the window.

They set the sign up in a place that Linda won’t see it, and she seems to have a pretty fun day doing these fake feats of strength, some of which are pretty elaborate.

Another side note: yeah the whole “tug of war” she has with the elephant feels pretty cruel by today’s standards. Yes, I know elephants actually like to play, but I doubt they’re a fan of being in captivity and I really doubt that they’re being treated well by this sideshow run by con artists. But if we’ve established that we didn’t value kids back in 1959 as much as we do now, we sure as hell didn’t value animals as much as we do now.

But once again, the only thing we can really do sixty-three years after the fact is acknowledge that unpleasantness and continue on.

After Linda’s finished her show, Mom Dale tries to quickly usher her away from the sideshow under the guise of showing her the rest of the circus.

Linda finds Mom’s behavior suspicious and uses her telescopic vision to see what’s happening at the sideshow tent, and sure enough, she sees Dad Dale hawking the Power Tonic.

Realizing that her foster parents are con people and that they only adopted her to help swindle customers breaks Linda’s little heart.

Look at that sad face. :(

Linda decides that it’s her job to put a stop to this, she just has to figure out how. Which involves her basically spying on her parents all evening. Later that night while she’s in bed she sees her father getting a shipment of the latest “Power Tonic” form a chemist that they apparently deal with. I wonder what the chemist’s cut is?

It’s also stated that Power Tonic is just sugar and ginger flavored water, which makes me wonder why they needed a chemist to come up with this. Kind of just feels like they’re paying an extra person they don’t have to. But that’s just me, I am no master con person.

Linda vows to put a stop to them, but first! Another non-sequitur action scene!

Apparently the landing lights at a nearby airport went out, leaving a plane to make its landing in the dark.

Supergirl rushes into action, grabbing a pole from a local junkyard and scrapping it across the ground of the runway fast enough to create enough sparks to light up the runways, allowing the plane to land safely, with the pilot assuming that they simply got the lights back up and running in time.

No, of course this doesn’t have any bearing on the main plot, and it never gets mentioned again. Neat little act of heroism though. Can you imagine how fast she must be traveling in order to make sparks kicked up from a pipe along concrete actually look like a fully lit up runway?

The following day the Dales (Linda included) are walking the elephant to the sideshow for Linda’s Strong Girl act, and the poor elephant stumbles after tripping in a ditch. The elephant’s about to tumble into the Dales, but Linda saves them, grabbing the elephant and lifting it high over her head. She had a thought bubble about how she didn’t have enough time to save them discreetly, and as she’s holding this elephant over her head she’s terrified that she’s going to have to confess that she’s Supergirl.

But, Linda has an idea on the fly and proclaims that she’s just as shocked by this turn of events as they are, and adds in that she drank a gingery drink earlier.

This causes Dad Dale to jump to the conclusion that somehow this new batch of Power Tonic actually works as advertised. He runs and guzzles a bottle down himself.

Linda didn’t plan for that but thankfully all Dad did in an attempt to test his power is to pry some bars apart, which Linda aids by using her x-ray vision to soften the metal... I’m not sure that’s how that works, but I’m no expert.

We jump to the Dales driving, father proclaiming that the Power Tonic wore off quickly, but he’s convinced that it works and is on his way to buy the formula from the chemist.

At the same time, Supergirl is racing above to reach the chemist first.

In the next panel we see Mom and Dad Dale buying the tonic formula from the chemist, who seems pretty chill with selling it.

And in the very next panel, we see the Dales leaving and also that the chemist is actually a puppet being controlled by Supergirl through a skylight in the roof. According to her thought bubble she was able to put this puppet together before the Dales got there. And she lured the real chemist away with a fake phone call. And she was able to convince the Dales with her super-ventriloquism, which is something I didn’t realize Supergirl could do.

But none of that accounts for how Supergirl got the mouth to move. IF she did. I assume she did because otherwise the Dales just didn’t notice that the person they were talking to didn’t have a moving mouth despite talking!

AND ANOTHER THING, HOW DID THEY NOT SEE THE WIRES? LIKE, THEY STOOD IN FRONT OF THIS PUPPET BEING HELD UP BY STRING AND SOMEHOW DIDN’T NOTICE???

This whole bit is so random and makes no sense!

Anyway.

Supergirl also tells us that the Dales used all the money that they had made from selling the fake Power Tonic to buy the recipe. A little later she uses her telescopic vision to check in on the Dales and father Dale is distraught because this new Power Tonic isn’t working, and he realizes that he can’t tell the cops that the chemist cheated him because the chemist could always just out the Dales as frauds themselves.

That evening Supergirl flies around returning all the stolen money to its rightful owners. How did she know who to give it to you ask? Why, with her super-memory. With it she was able to memorize the face of every person that bought the fake stuff. She uses her super-breath to blow the money in through the window, letting the person think that somehow money just randomly floated into their house.

Linda then reports back to the orphanage and tells them that the Dales no longer have the funds to support her. Upon hearing this Miss Hart tears up their adoption papers on the spot, which I just find amusing.

Linda then thinks about how she’s an orphan again, and hopes that she’ll find an honest family someday, then sighs.

Poor Kara, alone again at the orphanage. I know this is going to be her status quo for a while, but it’s still sad.

As you can see, the previous five paragraphs of description happened over the course of four panels. Which is crazy pacing. Considering how much time they devoted to action scenes that had absolutely nothing to do with the plot, I can’t help but wonder if maybe they should have taken some of those scenes out to at least give the climax of the story a few more panels. But, pacing and flow in silver-age comics were all over the place.

Besides wanting to read Supergirl comics specifically, going back and reading old silver-age comics is so much fun. They were so different from the current ones. The pacing, how panels were laid out, how the action in those panels flowed. It’s so much fun learning about the history of the comic medium.

And it’s so much fun learning more and more about my favorite Kryptonian!
