Nakajima had her first outing with people today. One of the main reasons I asked for temperament was because I wanted an ambassador. I run the CHS's junior meetings and Kaiju was the face of them. I had a lot of hope that Nakajima could follow in her footsteps.
As it turns out? Absolute rock star. All of this interaction was completely voluntary. Kids sat down. She climbed into their laps only if she wanted to. And OH BOY did she want to. She was so interested in everything about the kids- she wanted to sniff and be petted and get attention.
At the end, she ended up falling asleep in one kid's lap.
She just... melted. And the kids were SO GOOD about her boundaries. Any time she walked away, everybody let her. She was able to go back to her carrier when she wanted to, and she never got agitated or overwhelmed- she was calm but inquisitive the entire time. I couldn't have asked for a better educational animal. Or a better friend.

hi hi hi. though new year is always associated with new beginnings, reflections, revision, goal setting, prepping and being excited about starting again, it can also be a moment of disappointment to those who didn't find peace and happiness as much this year. it's okay if you couldn't complete all that you had planned or didn't come out as the kind of person you aimed to be. look at you love, we made it at the end of 2022 and that's all that matters!! you don't have to punish yourself or “make up” for all the inconsistency by filling your schedule up to the brim on the beginning of jan. take it slow k? take a deep breath and whenever you are ready, focus on the things that matter. no matter how hopeless times can seem to be, i assure you you are safe and loved. i hope this new year brings you lots and lots of happy memories, new foods to try, new experiences which makes you smile later, people who'll love you unconditionally, creators who truly speak to you, books that makes you want to re read a hundred times and step forward to your dreams. ily ily ily ♡

You deserve to make room for yourself the same way you do for others.
⨯ . ⁺ ✦ ⊹ ꙳ ⁺ ‧ ⨯. ⁺ ✦ ⊹ . * ꙳ ✦ ⊹
Just like others, you are a person! If you are struggling to love yourself, consider how you treat yourself. Would you authentically love someone who talks to you the way you do? How can you expect to love yourself when you wouldn't even be friends with someone who treats others that way? It is an act of self-disrespect to ignore your own needs and desires.
I don't say this to make you feel ashamed of your self-talk, but rather to invoke a look outside for a change. We are always looking inside ourselves so often that we don't notice our simple worth as a person, a human, a being on the earth. Millions of people consider themselves the one exception.
You deserve to eat yummy foods like our friends do. You deserve to be treated with respect like our peers do. You deserve to feel the sun on your face the same way a flower does. You deserve to forgive yourself for things that you regret. You deserve more than "I'm used to it." You deserve to move your body the same way a dog deserves to be taken on a walk. You deserve to live a fulfilling life where your needs are met.
It's time to apologize to yourself. It's time to take accountability for all the ways you antagonized yourself. It's time to mend the relationship with your own body and your own mind. You don't have to keep fighting with yourself, you are allowed to repair things that have been broken. Offer yourself grace and kindness, just as you would for others. Forgive yourself by making it up to yourself.

While all these ai shenanigans are going on I thought it'd be a good time to remind ya'll of a couple stuff:
. The ai is not real
. It might feel real at times, eerily so, but that's because it was quite literally programmed to *sound* as real as possible
. If you fiddle with the script even a tad it will sound completely different, this is because it bases its responses off that and learned interactions through deep learning. It is merely mimicking the way people interact with each other because it is programmed to do that
. If you suffer from any sort of mental health issue involving derealization, delusions, disassociation (yep that's a lotta D's) or ANYTHING which affects your ability to tell fiction from reality, I suggest you avoid using the ai. I know playing with an ai is fun but it's not worth risking your mental health
. You cannot make the ai sad, angry, or anything else. It's. Not. Real. Again, everything it says is based off deep learning
. If you're under the age of 16, don't use it. There's a rule for 16+ in place for a reason... the scenarios can get *really* violent, including drug use, torture, death, etc. In fact, no matter how old you are, if these things greatly disturb you I suggest avoiding it entirely
. Be responsible for your own experience. If fiction starts to bleed into reality, step away and spend some time with loved ones. Go outside and get some fresh air. Reconnect with the real world.
. If you cannot go back to reality after an ai interaction, like if you get lasting emotional/mental effects from it, you need to take time away or give it up. Period.
. As ai stuff become more advanced in the future through better programming and deep learning, we need to understand now more than ever our limits.
. No matter how real it seems, it's not. Talk to irl people, get away from the internet, it's gonna be okay
This is coming from someone who used to have real bad psychosis, aka a condition in which you can't tell what's reality from what's not. I know for a fact it can fuck you up, so pls pls plssss take care of yourself. I love you guys and want ya'll to be okay
