Tarot of the Owls is now available everywhere decks are sold! It was written by Pamela Chen and illustrated by me, published by Llewellyn Worldwide. I also have signed copies in my shop (link in bio). Over two years in the making, and we are thrilled it’s finally out! People seem to be really connecting with these fun owls too, which makes me happy. The cards above are the Moon and High Priestess.

Kleo's Tarot Decks [01]
Hello!
I have in a way promised I will share with you, which decks I have and use in the readings. You have seen some of the cards on the pictures I occassionally post together with the reading but not all decks were included in those.
So let's see with what I work when crafting those readings you like!
Edgar Allan Poe Tarot
Rose Wright ^ Illustrated by Eugene Smith
Tumblr media
This deck is the one I feel the strongest connection with and it was the one that inspired me to start with kinky readings for idols. Basically this entire blog would never exist if I haven't ordered this baby online. I'm a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe's work and I have been reading his stories and poems ever since early teenagehood. This is the deck that vibes with my soul. I love you, Poe Deck!
The Ancient Egyptian Tarot (in original)
Clive Barrett
Tumblr media
This was my very first tarot deck. If you are struggling with the language, it's Czech language translation (my mother tongue). My mom gave this deck to me when I was 15. It wasn't so easy to connect with this one (might have been the translation issue, I don't know) and I used it only occassionally. Now I can understand it much better and I have found my way to connect with this amazing deck.
Universal Celtic Tarot
Floreana Nativo ^ Cristina Scagliotti
Tumblr media
This deck is a pocket size and has no guidebook because I got it from Aliexpress. I know. Not a very good place for purchasing spiritual tools but it was a quick decission. I don't use it very often. I love celtic mythology but this deck isn't really what I would vibe with. Still... I can interpret the cards, even when it might take longer for me.
Vlad Dracula Tarot
Travis McHenry ^ Illustrated by Nikita Vuimin
Tumblr media
This is one of the most brutal decks I have seen so far. Lol! I have been to Romania to visit the places where famous Vlad The Impaler walked and it's one of my favourite historical figures. Pretty underrated ruler, demonised by his enemies. And this deck is absolutely excellent for revealing my darkest thoughts and secrets. It's pretty merciless so I don't use it often with other people. It inspired several of my spreads including The Path of the Dragon spread.
A Jane Austen Tarot Deck
Jacqui Oakley
Tumblr media
This deck has only 53 cards and it can be used as a playing deck as well. Most of the cards have double meaning and instead of suits of wands, cups, swords and pentacles, you have the clubs, hearts, spades and diamonds. It makes the readings a bit more difficult. Lol. For example there's an Ace of Clubs which stands for Ace of Wands but as you see in the top of the card, it's merged with the card from major arcana VIII Strength. Some people find it very confusing. I found my way. And I love Jane Austen's work same as I love work of Edgar Allan Poe.
Tarot of the Divine
Yoshi Yoshitani
Tumblr media
This is such a beautiful deck! It's inspired by deities, folklore and fairy tales from around the world. I knew many of them but some were just very new for me. It comes with a very thin booklet but there's also a book where all the tales are included in shortened form. I have that book, too. I love the artwork of this deck. For your information, this is the one I usually use for your career readings.
Crow Tarot
MJ Cullinane
Tumblr media
And here comes the Crow Tarot you might have noticed in the recent personal readings here. There's a lot of brown and beige colour which are the ones I absolutely hate. However, in this case I love the deck. It's truly beautiful and easy to connect with. I use it for the ideal partner readings often. Not only this one but usually it's my choice for this type of spread.
Runic Tarot
Jack Sephiroth ^ Allen Dempster ^ Jaymi Elford
Tumblr media
One more deck inspired by ancient mythology! I love mythologies. This is one of my new decks. I only got it last week so we are still in the process of connecting but I already feel a great power from it. It combines tarot and the rune magick which is truly handy and I love it. This deck goes well into hand, just like Poe Deck. I think we have a great future ahead of us, don't we, Loki The Devil?
The Dark Mansion Tarot
Illustrated by Magdalena Kaczan
Tumblr media
I have been longing for this deck for very long time. It's a bit pricey one and comes with no guidebook. However the cards have fantastic silk matte surface, they are like velvety on touch. How dope is that? And the artwork is so charming. It reminds me of Tim Burton's puppet movies, you know Nightmare before Christmas and The Corpse Bride. It's absolutely gorgeous. I just recently got it so we are still connecting but once we are done, expect me coming up with some Dark Mansion inspired spreads. Same for the Vikings. Can't wait for creating a bloodlust viking spread, haha!
The Slavic Legends Tarot
Illustrated by Magdalena Kaczan
Tumblr media
One more deck from Taroteca Studio! And it's as beautiful as The Dark Mansion Tarot, maybe even more resonating with me. You might know (or maybe not) that I'm from Czech Republic, which is one of the historically Slavic countries (the land was populated by Slavic tribes long long time ago). I must admit, I don't know all the legends depicted on the cards but that makes them in no way less impressive and beautiful. I can't really explain this in sensible talk but I immediatelly felt a great connection with the deck. It's a pity it comes with no guide whatsoever so it's surely not for beginners. It's also a little more pricey than the decks you can fetch on Amazon, for example. But it's worth every crown (Czech currency)... Although I purchased it for euros... Never mind! It's a fantastic deck and I would like to get my hands on some Slavic legends compendium book so I could appreciate the imagery even more in the right context. So if you have some tips for Slavic legends books written in either Czech or English language, let me know!
Dark Goddess Tarot
Ellen Lorenzi-Prince
Tumblr media
This is another gem in my collection. I don't have this deck for long now but it's so impressive and stunning. I truly appreciate the author took the time to actually asign a goddess to each of the 78 cards. None repeats and it's a fantastic insight into not only tarot but also into the goddesses from all over the world. The deck has golden edges and it just perfectly fits into hand and shuffles like dream. I have only done deck interview so far. Its immediate advice for me was to add cayene pepper into my tea... So I did and it was yummy. 😂 And yes, if you wonder, I DO talk to my decks as if they were actual people. I also talk to my dog and to myself. I live alone. Don't judge me. 😂
Dark Wood Tarot
Sasha Graham ^ Illustrated by Abigail Larson
Tumblr media
You have probably noticed that I have been using this deck pretty often (if you read the introduction to the readings, of course). It quickly became one of my favourites. It's pretty intuitive, fun and kinda sexy. I must admit, that some of the ladies depicted on the cards are pretty gorgeous 😂 And look at the Knight of Cups with his bedroom eyes! 🤣 Anyway! This is a beautiful deck, it comes with full colour thick guidebook and I would say it's a pretty good choice for beginners as long as you feel drawn to it, of course. This deck is my go-to one when it comes to spicy readings, together with the Poe deck.
Everyday Witch Tarot
Deborah Blake ^ Illustrated by Elisabeth Alba
Tumblr media
One more deck I don't have for long but is strongly growing on me and feels like an old friend already. The imagery is cute and fun (I especially like The Wheel of Fortune in this deck). It comes with a full colour thick guidebook and I think it could serve well to any tarot beginner, too. The imagery is pretty clear and intuitive, by the single glance at the card, you can already see multiple possible meanings. As I mentioned, it's a new deck for me so I will see how we work together. There's also an oracle deck by the same author to accompany and enrich the tarot experience. I have that one, too, and I will provide some pics and details as soon as I can update the post about my oracle decks.
Tarot in Wonderland
Barbara Moore ^ Illustrated by Eugene Smith
Tumblr media
Yes, the illustrator is the same as the one who did the Poe deck! Yay! Alice's adventures are well known and can you imagine a better inspiration for tarot than the Lewis Carroll's masterpiece? The world he build in his books is full of symbols and archetypes so turning it into a tarot deck was a good idea. The deck is stunning. Again, it comes with a very thick full colour book. If you have never heard of Alice, this deck is still for you because the amount of information in the guide is just breathtaking. The cards are relatively thin but if you're not a monster and you take a good care of your belongings, they will serve you well for many years. If I should say which deck I love more, Alice or Poe, I would still choose Poe. He's the love of my life, sorry. 😂
The Godfather Tarot
Will Corona Pilgrim
Tumblr media
Yes! There is a tarot deck inspired by the Godfather movies! You wouldn't believe it but there is. I love The Godfather, both the original book by Mario Puzzo and the three movies by Francis Ford Coppola. For most of you, those are ancient history but I strongly recommend watching these 'family' movies (there's a lot of murdering, though). The deck follows the mood of the movies well, I would say. It's pretty laconic, though and the guidebook is a bit unorthodox and doesn't give much information on interpreting the cards. Not really suitable deck for beginners. But if you are a fan of the book and movies, you will be overjoyed. I haven't done many readings with it so far, but it seems pretty pragmatic and straightforward to me. Just the way I like it. 😉
The Phantomwise Tarot
Erin Morgenstern
Tumblr media
This is one of the most artistic decks I own. My friend called it dark and depressive but it's actually pretty positive and beautiful. It's visually stunning and cute. The cards are so easy to shuffle and fit into my small hands. The deck comes with thin guidebook and it doesn't give elaborate meanings to the cards so probably not the best choice for a beginner but if you are already into tarot and look for gorgeous black and white deck, this one could become your favourite.
The Wild Unknown Tarot
Kim Krans
Tumblr media
This is one trully interesting deck. The art is beautiful, the guidebook is straight to the point. However... For some reason, it's difficult for me to connect with the deck. It's really strange because I have other card decks by Kim Krans (The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Oracle, The Wild Unknown Archetypes and The Wild Unknown Alchemy) and those just click with me perfectly. The Tarot deck, though... It's pickle. I'm not saying I can't work with it, I can, I only need clarifying cards in most cases. Usually from the other Kim Krans' decks. 😂
The Guardian of the Night Tarot
MJ Cullinane
Tumblr media
I love animals! I love them more than people and I certainly also talk to them more than to people. 😂 And this deck from the author of the Raven Tarot is so full of beautiful animals. I love the art of the deck. The guidebook is full of really meaningfull and sweet messages. The only downside is the width of the cards. They are wider than usual with the cards and the 78-card deck is really hard to shuffle for my tiny hands. However, if you have a regular size hands, you will be okay with this. 😊
Tarot of Mystical Moments
Catrin Welz-Stein
Tumblr media
This is an 83-card deck! Wow! Why is that? Because there are the male and female versions of The Emperor and the Kings (so 5 extra cards in total). The whole deck is very feminine and artistically breathtaking. I absolutely love it and it sort soothes my soul. Even the more negative or challenging cards look so dreamy. There's also an Oracle of Mystical Moments, I have that one, too, and it perfectly accompanies the tarot deck.
The Mythic Goddess Tarot
Jayne Wallace
Tumblr media
This is such a lovely deck! The back of the cards is pink (my favourite colour) and the whole aesthetics of the deck is just cute. Unlike the Dark Goddess tarot, only the major arcana cards are assigned with goddesses here. The court cards depict figures but they are not labelled with a god or goddess name and the minor arcana suit cards are only the picture of the wand, cup, sword or pentacle. So! This deck is not suitable for purely intuitive reading based in the imagery interpretation. Luckily it comes with a quite handy guidebook which is as lovely as the cards. I love to use this deck for Ideal Partner readings as it gives pretty good idea about specific characteristics. And it's also great for self-care readings.
Spiritsong Tarot
Paulina Fae
Tumblr media
Another super cute and sweet deck. It's animal themed again and the art is so dreamy! I use this deck for self-care and self-love readings because it trully gives such support and kindness and the messages are truly uplifting. It's difficult to describe it's vibe as it's highly spiritual and from another world.
The Light Seer's Tarot
Chris-Anne
Tumblr media
I received this deck just today (03/03/2023) 😂 That's the reason why I can't really tell you how it feels just yet. It's pretty colourful and gives very vibrant and lively vibe to me. Kinda makes me all giddy. 😂 You know what? It reminds me of a video game... Life is Strange! I have played it long time ago but for some reason as soon as I hold this deck in my hands I remembered of the game. It's a very fresh and modern take on tarot and it kinda inspires me go out to the tearoom and sit there with my friend, eat vegan dessert and have fun doing some readings with this deck while sipping green tea.
Tarot of Oppositions
Pierluca Zizzi ^ Michele D'Aloisio
Tumblr media
This deck was on my wishlist for a long time. As you might know or maybe you have noticed, I don't really do reversals in tarot. I see no reason why to do so, I usually can read everything I need from the upright cards. However, the whole reversals thing is on my mind and so when I found out there was a deck depicting both options on the cards, I had to have it. I must say it's not one of my top favourite decks but I like to use it for myself. I don't really use it to read for others because I'm a bit afraid that I could get confused by the cards. If you are into reading reversals, this could be a great deck for you. It comes with a small guidebook, it's not super detailed but perfectly decent and useful. The imagery is pretty clear, though so you might not even need the guidebook in the first place. 😊
Tarot of Tales
Melinda Lee Holm
Tumblr media
This is one of my newest tarot decks. I have used it for storyteller reading and pull a daily card from it. It's a little bit different than the usual deck and it takes a while to actually understand how it works. The more interesting it is. So far I have read the cards more intuitively than by the guidebook meanings but the book is very rich on content, hardcover and with unorthodox approach to tarot. I wouldn't recommend this deck to a beginner but it's definitely super interesting deck for someone who's into tarot for a longer time and wants to broaden the skill and general view.
Animal Totem Tarot
Leeza Robertson ^ Illustrated by Eugene Smith
Tumblr media
One more deck form one of my favourite illustrators. You might have noticed that Eugene Smith illustrated my E. A. Poe deck and deck inspired by Alice in Wonderland. In this case, he used his talent to depict animals and they are really so pretty! This is a great tarot deck and I would even recommend it for beginners as the guidebook that comes with it is very thick and thorough on the topic. It also gives meanings of the cards for specific aspects like career, relationships, health, etc. It gives a good amount of information and advice. Plus I love animals! 😍 One minor setback is that the guidebook is unorthodoxly sorted. The Pages, Knights, Queens and Kings are not together with their suits but have a chapter for themselves. But that's really a cosmetic thing and nothing that should discourage animal + tarot lover.
The DC Tarot Deck and Guidebook
Casey Gilly ^ Illustrated by 17th & Oak
Tumblr media
Yes! Apart from animals and tarot, Kleo is also a fan of DC comics characters and she got herself an appropriate deck 😂 I have to admit, I don't use it often as the topic is pretty specific and doesn't really go with the majority of readings I practice but I'll surely come up with new type of reading which will compliment this deck. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners unless you have a deep knowledge of DC characters. I truly enjoy its design. It's so... fun!
The Herbcrafter's Tarot
Latisha Guthrie
Tumblr media
This is absolutely stunning deck, especially if you are also interested in herbology or botanics. It takes a little different approach to tarot than RWS inspired decks but it's rather impressive. Once again, the guidebook is sorted unorthodoxly where 7s of element are next to each other and so on. It's not divided by element but by the value of the card. Also, Pages, Knights, Queens and Kings are replaced by other terms. These make the deck not completely beginner friendly but if you are a passionate herbologist or botanist, you can happily purchase this as your first deck. The guidebook contains a balanced amount of information, it's not super in depth. Even if you are not a herbology expert, you won't get overwhelmed.
Wise Dog Tarot
MJ Cullinane
Tumblr media
You might have noticed that I also have the Crow Tarot and the Guardian of the Night Tarot deck from the same author. I often have favourite authors when it comes to tarot 😂 Anyway! Whoever knows me, you know I love dogs. I love them much more than human beings and I currenly have two adopted from a shelter. I would love to adopt more but I simply don't have the space and means to do so. I encourage my followers to consider adoption before purchasing a dog or cat. Give home to those who feel unloved in the shelters. Be a good person. Save lives. Sorry for the little propaganda but people needs to be constantly reminded of these. Back to the deck. It's beautiful but I would appreciate if more breeds were included. Some repeat which is a pity because there are so many kinds of dogs. Other than that, it's pretty nice and decent deck. It comes with a short paperback guidebook, nothing overly complex but does the job.
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
These are my tarot decks as of now. I will surely purchase more in the future. It's not an addiction! I can stop whenever I want! Truly! I swear. The only trouble is, I don't want to stop! Lol!
I will be posting my other types of divination card decks next time. I hope you didn't think, this was my whole collection. There are oracle, lenormand and runes to be revealed.
Have a great time!
Check the oracle decks!

Does anyone know of any tarot sized card sleeves with SOLID backs? I have a major-arcana-only deck that I would love to use by frankensteining it with the minor arcana from another deck, without the backs of the cards being glaringly obvious.

I'm slowly catching up on things and updating my various collection posts. So far, I've updated My Tarot & Oracle Collection and Works I've Read, so next is going to be Currently Reading & Queue.
I'm also looking forward to sharing my notes from the book I'm currently studying from, which discusses witchcraft from a primarily anthropological perspective, with respect to areas often overlooked by anthropologists as well. It's a nice blend of history and anthropology and has given me a lot to think about in terms of how witchcraft has become what it is today based on history and more recent resurgence.
Anyways, I'll share that in a proper review once I get to that point. :)

Wheel of Fortune: Cycles of Violence and Trauma
Upright: Cycles, change, destiny, life cycles, turning point, fortune, karma, external forces at play, breaking negative cycles
Reversed: Lack of control, bad luck, resisting change, clinging to control, upheaval, setbacks
The Wheel of Fortune card is an important one in this deck: The Owl House’s narrative is all about cycles of violence and trauma, how they’re perpetuated, and how they can be broken. These cycles include Luz inheriting Camila’s struggles with conformity and acceptance, Lilith mirroring Philip’s attempts to force a sibling to conform to their ideals supposedly for their own good, the Collector perpetuating his species’ tendencies to subjugate entire worlds, and of course the most blatant example: the Grimwalker cycle.
The Wheel card reminds you that the world is in a state of constant change, most of which is unavoidable and entirely outside our control. Hollow Mind is a rude awakening for Hunter, as he learns how little control he truly has over his life. We the audience learn that in creating Hunter and all the Grimwalkers, Philip has been attempting to re-create the relationship he had with Caleb, but better; Caleb’s decision to leave the human realm and love a witch completely upended his entire worldview, and he is clinging to an image of the past that will never truly come back. The Wheel can also represent a critical turning point in your life; Hollow Mind is the moment that finally causes Hunter to break away from Belos’ abuse, becoming the first Grimwalker to break the cycle and survive.
The Wheel’s theme of the inevitability of change is mirrored in the conflicting ideals of the Collectors and Titans; Collectors preserve and objectify living beings so they will “never fade,” while the nature of the Titans is to embrace death and change as natural and necessary. Life itself springs forth from the decay of the Boiling Isles, illustrating the cyclical but ever-changing nature of life. In season 3, the Collector has the Isles trapped in a stagnant fantasy land much like the one Luz was expecting to encounter in episode 1, likely because the trauma of losing his baby Titan friends and being imprisoned for thousands of years makes him crave control over his surroundings. Like Luz had to temper her expectations and accept the Isles for how they were, he must let go of the illusion of control and allow the world around him to change in order to break that cycle of trauma, lest he end up trapped in it like Belos.

Listen. Listen to me. Tarot decks can be magical and all, but at the end of the day, they're still decks of cards.
You don't have to be afraid of them. You don't have to listen to them. You don't have to follow their "advice". You can buy your own. You can give them as gifts.
As an animist, I may coddle and cosset my decks. But you don't have to. You don't have to treat them as if they have spirits or feelings. You can treat them like they're just decks of cards, and that's totally fine.
