Bananas In Adventure Time

Many of you might remember the endless use of bananas in the episode “Return to the Nightosphere” and “Daddy’s Little Monster.” This is my favorite joke in the show because it is just a nice nod to the history of comedy.

In the beginning of the episode the boys wake up in a jail cell in the Nightosphere, surrounded by bananas. When approaching a guard Jake asks what’s up with all the bananas- the guard responds in disgust. Every time Jake asks about the banana the Nightosphere demons are grossed out by him.

Later in the episode it’s shown that the bananas are used as “weird punishment” on the demons. The punishments include endlessly barfing bananas and having bananas seemingly defecated out of their ears.

I think this is a nod towards the banana peel slip gag which (maybe) was meant to be a “polite” way to represent slipping on animal droppings. So, yeah... the bananas are poop.

I love the way that bananas are used in this show in general. There’s many gags and nods towards using bananas as funny little props. Finn even does the classic banana gag himself in “Blenanas”

Idk maybe there wasn’t any thought put into it- maybe it was just to be funny but it’s still interesting to think about.

I like imagining dean going "43 huh? I really am an old man now :)" and he means it in a positive way, bc he never expected to live past 30, but cas gets so OFFENDED on his behalf like "dean you are NOT old, the average life expectancy is around 80, you are barely half that age!"

And dean finds it hilariously funny so he decides to egg cas on like "no but cas, cant you see these crows feet? Also i swear i found a grey hair yesterday and my stamina isnt what it used to be..."

Personally, im fond of "dean thinks he already confessed and cas doesnt return his feelings" truthing, bc it makes both of them look like dumbasses.

Dean thinks his feelings were obvious since almost saying "i love you" in the crypt, but he thinks cas DEFINITELY knows after his prayer in the trap, so cas not saying anything back must mean hes trying to let him down easy, right? He doesnt need to explicitly state his feelings and intentions, because they must be embarrassingly obvious. Cas has to know he is loved, forgiven and wanted, the fact that he doesnt reciprocate and keeps leaving is a clear enough answer in itself.

Except, cas is kind of a tunnel visioned autism boy and he NEEDS stuff spelled out for him at least once.

So while dean is over there being an emotionally repressed bag of "if i never talk about my humiliatingly soft feelings out loud, i cant ever be rejected out loud. people just have to KNOW", we have cas going "too bad my embarrassingly soft feelings obviously arent returned, i better keep them to myself so i dont ruin the friendship i have by being greedy" and theyre both wrong and most other people can easily see that.

Cas NEEDS it said out loud, thats why his verbal confession made him so happy, the words had been choking him for ages. Meanwhile dean is visibly confused bc why now and why is cas acting like his feelings arent returned when he KNOWS that dean.... and by the time dean has processed all of it, its too late.

Them overcoming their trust issues, low self esteem and bad communication skills together is essential to me in any post-canon fix it. Dean needs to know that its ok to talk about feelings and that cas deserves the security of an actual confession and cas needs to learn that not everything has to be explicitly spelled out for it to be true and he can just trust deans love for him.

I like that tumblr doesn't show how many followers a blog has. Sometimes you can see who that blog follows, but most people turn that feature off.

She tenses up slightly as that golden color lights up the area around her, looking for the source of it as the beam of light suddenly appears in front of her, the grip she had on her Keyblade tightening as she quickly pockets the small device she was holding. The aura was comforting, strengthening even, but she still felt slightly on edge. An old instinct, to be cautious of the Light.

And then she hears his voice, seeing the vague form of a person begin to show through the light as it diminished around him. Complimenting her for how well she fought. She watches as the light evaporates and he fully forms, first taking notice of his friendly demeanor, which manages to put her at ease, letting her Keyblade dissipate from her hand for now. He had certainly gotten across that he was different as well, in his own way. Though she couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised that he didn’t seem to react to the fact that she and the Heartless she fought looked similar to eachother.

“I uh, just happened to be in the neighborhood.” She replies, a hint of nervousness in her voice as she rests her hands in the pockets of her cloak. Truth was that it wasn’t just coincidence that she happened to be here to fight off Heartless. It might be easy for Sora to pick up on the fact she wasn’t telling him the truth, as she didn’t have a lot of experience with lying.

She can’t help but look around once more, making sure there weren’t any other Heartless in the vicinity. “...Your Heart’s like a lighthouse with how much Light is in it, by the way. I can sense it just by standing in front of you.” She admits, before turning to face him once more. “I’m Faith. Who are you?” She asks, offering a hand for him to shake.

just got out of a manic episode lol

yeah so im depressed now, no longer depresion haha funnys more like depresion no hahas and im pretty sure im scaring off my boyfriend so yeah, he stopped talking/hanging out with me when i was being honest about my feelings, like i was there when he relasped but i start talking my crazy shit and then suddenly mental illness is off the table??? whatever its not even like i like him or nothing like that. i dont understand why i do this to myself, this is just turning into a rant but ive been holding this down for so long it feels good to scream it out into the void that is tumblr yk? also like i drew on cut marks because it hurts less plus i can just wash that off, yk i do that a lot i put on makeup that made me look like i commeted suicide bc i was sad and suicidle(who would have gussed???) plus i just found this collage i really want to go to but no one belives i can do it and i act like that makes me wanna do it more but really it just shows how much people belive imma be a no body and im so scared im going to be suck here forever like my mom and dad. why does life have to be such a bitch like why do i always gotta screw up everything???? lke i have two boyfriends that care about me yet i want to date this girl thats never gonna love me back?? and when i say love i mean i actually love her so much and i cant talk about it because shell find out that im totally in love with her and shell flip out and distance herself from me and i need her shes my everything and if i don't have her in my life even just as a friend i think i need to switch schools again because that's what i always do, when shit gets rough go and hide because i cant handle all this shit and my parents are finally in a good place (mentally) and im gonna screw it up for them because ill stress them out by ignoring everyone and sleeping through meals and holidays and they'll yell at me because they don't understand and i don't blame them im a mess filled with self pity and gross tindencys so i cant have anyone love me truly because im so gross and i just want the felling of everything to stop, like i want to be so fucking happy that everyone thinks on on drugs, which i was on anti anxiety pills but then i felt nothing so i cut myself bu my dumbass was wearing white pants and my mom found out and yelled at me, and screamed and woke everyone up and my sibling still reminds me about it and every time he does i want to hold him down and beat the shit out of him, like does he even take my mental illness serously, does anyone??? are my parents just pretending to give a shit, at least my mom is, my dad cares for me but he just never says the right things, and i forgive him but i just want nothing to go wrong for once i just want everyone to stop. stop talking to me, stop trying to help but also ignoring my despreat cries for help doesn't make me feel any better and also i don't want to be lied toi want the truth even if it would hurt me yk? i don't know what i want, but i know it'd make me feel safe and happy and no long like everyone's trying to get me, i just want to have someone who'd look at all different sides of me and go "wow their awesome, and sure they do stuff i disagree with but there a good person who's gonna make it big and ill stand with them through thick and thin and its okay they have issues we all do and love every flaw" like im sure my boyfriend would say this but i don't want him to say it i want it shown i want to see and trust i can tell them anything and they'd stick around.

tldr: i was origanally posting this so everyone would know i didnt commet suicide but then it turned into a rant so, yah sorry, uh i read a really good south park fanfic so thats something good that happened, though it reminded me alot of me and me is my enemy rn so i was really angry but in a healthy good way, also thought my dad died but thats justsum good ol paranoia also sorry for all the typos, did ths on my computer at like 11:55 so im kinda half asleep

2023 so far.

So, I'm a bit disappointed that I've never thought about using Tumblr for my journaling, other people describing my feelings and being able to repost it to my profile? Genius.

Anyway, we're into the 6th month of this year and I guess it's just been normal? Not in an ungrateful way but nothing significant has happened.

I'm very focused on handling my anxiety and I feel like I'm doing a really good job. I've started doing breathing exercises daily and it definitely helps, if you say it doesn't then you haven't given your full attention to it. Reading, walking and focusing on my goals has helped me so much as well, the key to getting better is distracting yourself so you have no time to think about your problems. Dale Carnegie's books are the first couple of books I've read and they're changing my life everyday. His experiences and the stories he puts in his books really hit home and it makes me want to become even more successful so I can be the person I want to be.

My career goals consist of me becoming a DJ and music producer. Over the past two years I've got up near enough every day and sat at the table on my laptop learning and grafting so hard. I've had days where I just cant be bothered, days where anxiety has took over and I've not touched my laptop at all. But it's not about them days at all, its the days after when I've pulled myself out of bed early even though i went to bed late the night before due to anxiety, it's about how I always work 10x harder the day after because I know my career depends on me and nobody else. It's about how having anxiety days or rest days are common and I cant avoid them forever but keeping strong through them and letting my body feel and heal while accepting that there are going to be days like that.

I'm at a point in my life where I'm not going to tolerate any negativity. Whether that be from a family member, friend or partner. I am a very open person and when I set boundaries I watch my tone and words. And I've always been a very empathic person. I can literally feel other peoples feelings and because of that I've always took peoples words on board, fell for peoples promises that didn't follow through and it's got me in some shit situations but the saying has never been more clearer "Actions speak louder than words." I give people time but if their actions don't follow through then I'm gone.

As today is the last day of Pride Month I just wanted to say this Pride has felt the least like Pride for me. I've not even hardly been able to think about the fact that this month is for us in the lgbt+ community, for our visibility, for resistance to a world in which we aren't safely able to be fully ourselves.

Hey yall! So idk how many of yall kno but I am an artist and I'm very much pushing my art these days. Call it a new years resolution call it passion or whatever you want but I'm very excited to say I'm finally putting the same love into my art as I've learned to put into myself.

With this I'd like to promote my Redbubble a little, I've put a few of my original designs on Redbubble and am very excited to show everyone what I can do!

I'd also like to say I've been in a very rough spot for the past year. I live with my fiance now and have been for almost a whole year at this point and its been amazing being with him, but we've been living a hotel the whole time, barely able to feed ourselves. Come the end of February we're going to be kicked out, and we don't have the money to move as Orlando is legit in the top three poorest cities in the United States and we cant drive. It's not been easy to keep a job because all of the restaurants are disgusting and pushing and stressing me way too far and being lousy managers and I just can't mentally handle that anymore. I'm looking for a new job as I just lost my job at Chipotle

It would mean the world to me and my fiance if yall could spread the word of my Redbubble and maybe buy some stickers or something!

mai and melli have their pokemon lords painted onto their outfits, and actually, mai has both wyrdeer and ursaluna

the other diamond clan wardens dont, i think it would've been kinda cool if all the diamond wardens had like, additional art on their clothes while the pearl clan didnt. it couldve further driven the point that irida and the pearl clan are a bit more serious and traditional, whereas adaman and the diamond clan are a bit more relaxed and laidback

correct me if im wrong but i like the little detail that the rival, ingo, and volo are the only characters that, when you battle them, they send out one pokemon at a time that are all around the same level. the clan leaders and the other wardens all send out like three at once, with their partner being much higher level than the other two.

those three characters are ones that are more focused on battling/have experience battling (in ingo's case), so they know how to battle in a more "traditional" sense

i think its a nice little touch, considering the observation that, realistically, unless someone was a professional trainer, theres no way one person could handle and equally train more than one, maybe two pokemon, and the other wardens and clan leaders have more responsibilities on their plate other than battling and training

i started jjk two weeks ago and the way the female characters are written......... -____________- i want to see them FIGHT. they talk & make bitchy comments and then it cuts to the two most boring male characters HAMMERING each other why cant the women be allowed to punch each other in the face or slam each other into trees let them be physically strong!! enough range weapons and magic! itadori is skinny as hell and he's beating people left and right why cant the women??? nobara's always being rescued.

top 5 romance anime ☆

I adore romance anime and this list changes a lot, but these are my favorite romance anime’s as of right now.

1. Fruits Basket - 3 Seasons

Does Fruits Basket leave me in tears and shambles every time I watch it without fail? Yes. Is it my favorite romance anime of all time? YES. I could write an entire 10-page essay on why this is my favorite anime of all time, but this is a tumblr post so I’ll keep it short. The characters in this anime are all so lovable and the relationship between the characters is paced just as it needs to be. It played with my heartstrings in all the right ways and I love it so much. This anime does character development really well and has an amazing plot, so if you haven't already watched it, this is me literally begging you to do so because it is so good.

2. Snow White With The Red Hair - 2 Seasons

Talk about a comfort anime...I’ve watched this countless times because it just never fails to make me feel better. It’s so well written and the animation is beautiful. It has a special place in my heart. The characters are so lovable and this whole show has this whimsical feel to it. It’s number 2 for a reason, plot? 10/10, characters? 10/10, romance that doesn’t sexualize it’s characters and actually has substance and genuine connection between characters? 10/10 yes.

3. Maid Sama! - 1 Season (a tragedy)

I LOVE THIS STUPID ANIME. If you’re looking fora corny rom-com this is the one for you. I actually adore the cast, especially the main character. Misaki is my idol I love her. This show differs from the rest romance and plot wise, but it’s so entertaining and I wanted more after the finale. The manga is also a recommendation of mine! It’s light--hearted and silly, but still made me emotional. I was rooting for them so hard and its just an anime that I can fully indulge in, cringey romance and all.

4. Kamisama Kiss - 2 Seasons

2 words, Tsundere. Fox. This is an anime I’ve liked for a while and whenever I go back to watch it I fall in love all over again. It’s also light-hearted in nature, kind of like Maid Sama, but the story line is completely different from the others. I love a lot of the characters, if you cant tell character design is very important to me, and it makes the show a lot more fun to watch. I go to romance anime when I’m so so a lot of these are “feel-good anime” for me and this one is AMAZING if you just want a tiny escape. If you like a sort of slow-burn “enemies” to lovers sort of thing then I totally recommend!!

5. Sasaki to Miyano - 1 Season

Now, this is one I’ve just recently watched and I am already so invested. I’m not a big manga reader, but I did buy the manga so I could see the whole story so far and I love it. The emotions are presented in such a relatable way and it really makes you wanna root for the characters. The animation is so pretty and you just wanna reach through the screen and give all the characters a hug! It handles an LGBT relationship really well and it deserves all the love!

☆ My Little Monster - 1 Season

My loves, my life, my everything. I LOVE this cast of characters. The story is so cute and the animation and overall feel of the anime is just gorgeous. I couldn’t stop watching and I actually adore this anime. Young love, and new experiences is what this anime is all about and I would recommend it to anyone. If you want something cute, but emotional then this is a perfect anime. I like relationships that are focused on change and trying to understand each other and I think this anime does it perfectly.

☆ Devils Line - 1 Season (another tragedy)

Now this one has a special place in my heart, but it’s not officially on the list because it was cut way to short to do the story the justice it deserved, BUT that being said, it is still an amazing anime. I was HOOKED. Like couldn't turn away from my screen hooked, and Anzai is one of my favorite characters of all time. It’s also heavily fantasy-dark and science fiction-esc. If you like vampires you’ll like this. Edward Cullen has nothing on Anzai <3

content warning, gender dysphoria

i was getting dressed and just experienced the most dysphoria i have ever experienced like it actually winded me and made me dizzy. i’ve never felt that way before… physically affected by it.

basically i put on leggings, which was fine yesterday when i wore them to the gym cause i felt feminine and cute, but i suddenly (literally suddenly) hated how curvy my hips are. sent me spiraling. i immediately changed out of them and put on my typical outfit for an androgynous day and felt so much better but still really not feeling like myself

i cant even lose any weight to flatten my curves because it’s just where my hip bones are. i feel like crying right now i hate my body so much today 😭 i hate that i love myself one day and hate myself the next, it’s ruining me. just when i start to think i’m handling genderfluidity quite well.

i’m so hurt i don’t know what to do, and i don’t even have anyone to talk to about it except random people on tumblr (i still love you tho, but you know what i mean)
