i swear to fuck latin class teaching me that technically a vocative noun (ie. a name when someone is calling it) is supposed to be incased in commas is fucking destroying my fanfiction reading pleasure
because i keep seeing things like “Hello Larry, come help with this snapwobble problem”
and all my mind can offer
is that it’s supposed to be “Hello, Larry, come help me with this snapwobble problem.”

You know how in the new incorrect sander sides quotes how they all where playing different cards? Me and my friend made it a true game-
Welcome the game
WHAT GAME ARE WE PLAYING?!?...the game
Materials
Deck of uno
Deck of playing cards
20 pokemon cards
Cards against humanity (amount depends on people playing ex 30 white 15 black for roughly 2-4 people) //or play with apple vs apples and let your 6 year old have a early crisis//
White board
Folders for however many players you have
Points
Cards against humanity- 10 points
Uno- number cards 5 points- weird cards- 6 points
Pokemon- Names a-h- 7 points- i-q 8 points- r-z 9 points
Playing cards- multiplier cards- hearts 1- club 2- diamond 3- spade 4. Even cards 7 points odd 8 points face cards plus aces 9 points
Set Up
Each player will have a folder covering their cards
All are dealt out like war, all cards should be given
Playing cards and black cards against humanity are in two separate piles a pile face down in front of you
Pokemon, white cards against humanity and uno cards are in your hand
One uno card is to be placed in the middle
One designated player will keep track of uno color and score on the white board
Ending the Game
The game will end when someone has run out of cards
The winner is the player with the most points
Game Play
At the beginning of the game, everyone will silently decide what kind of card they would like to put down. You will put the card down face up behind your folder and on three you will lift the folder.
Only put down an uno card if it can be played off of the uno card that is in the middle. You can also put down a white cards against humanity card. The number will be determined by the number of vowels on the card(one vowel the number is 1 and can be played on a 1 but the color DOES NOT changes ). If it is above 15 then it is a wild and color changer. Number 9-14 is a 9. Wild cards just work as color changers. But colored pluses add the points reverse cards are worth 50 points but you gain no points if any other uno cards are played.
Playing cards and pokemon are played as war. The winner is based on the first letter of the pokemon or whether the playing card is odd, even or a character card. If the playing card wins, the points are multiplied by the numbers tied to the symbol. If both play a playing card, the winner gets the points of the winning points subtracted by the losing points. If you tie, then you will play a round of cards against humanity with the point kept as a judge or whoever has the most siblings, using the last white card played.
Rules
If you forget the color of the uno game and you put down the wrong color, you get subtracted 10 points times the number of your card, or times 10 if it is a colored wild
No changing cards after you put it down
No hitting
Old cards go next to the uno pile
In uno if more then one players have put a uno card down after lifting the folder who ever is first to place their card down gets to if the other person(s) card(s) cant be played they get the same punishment as if they forgot the color (times ten of the number)
If a card against humanity card is played they get authority over the uno cards and get to place their card first.
No asking judge /person holding points on white board/ for point checks
Edit: at the end when tou run out if cards you have to yell "what game are we playing?!?" If failed to do so you switch points with whoever as the lowest amout

How do you decide what to draw, and when it's done?
Tumblr media
Text: "This is a great question! I usually "wing it" when it comes to deciding when my drawing is done. (More below)" "Finding ideas...? It kind of depends! Sometimes I'll get a strong picture form in my head while I'm doing something else. Other times I just sit and draw whatever."
Now to elaborate on my process for deciding when to stop, how far to go with shading, etc. Most of it has to do with how I feel about drawing something, but also to do with keeping things visually appealing. Here I've laid out each general step of my drawing process from start to finish:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Sketch, Meant to be quick and generally convey the subject. I will sometimes draw and post things just as cleaned up sketches if just adding visuals to a text post, for shit-posting, or just if I'm not too interested in what I'm drawing.
2. Line art, I almost never post *just* line art, but i will occasionally post line art with one color to fill in the silhouette to help with contrast and character recognizability.
3. Flat color, I often post ask responses at this stage (maybe with simple hard-edged shadows here or there), but outside of ask responses I only leave character reference art at this stage just because the colors are purest for the character. I don't usually leave it without simple shading because it can be hard to read the subject's form, and its not my cup of tea. I lightly airbrush a warm color over the line art so that the harsh black doesn't contrast too much with the bright colors.
4. Shaded, a step up from simple hard edge shading I'll layer more than one shading color (layer set to multiply and lowered opacity) and blend out the edges in some places to soften the form. Then I add lighting and highlights - first using a textured soft airbrush over a large area, then use a round airbrush with hard edges for the highlights, blending out the edges in some areas to soften the form. This is usually where i stop for simpler character pieces, either for ask responses or for personal art. (Highlight layers are set to "add-glow")
5. Atmosphere, or adding additional shading elements to engage the subject with an environment or specific lighting condition. Here I've done a sunset lighting condition - I put a purple color over the whole subject set to multiply and opacity lowered, then airbrushed a reddish orange tone (on a separate layer, set to add-glow and opacity lowered) over the highlighted areas to bring warmth back to the lit spots. Then deepened the shadows using the hard edge airbrush again, a dark blue color (multiply layer, lower opacity), and then blending some of the edges out to show the form better. This is where I'll merge the line-art layer with what i now have of the coloring and shading, if i didn't already do so prior. Last I went back over the highlights with the orangey color (add glow, lower opacity). Once I get to rendering like this, I don't often stop here because by this point I'm likely hyper fixated and will keep pushing the values and adding details until I get to 6.
6. Details and bounce light. I texture-airbrushed a blue bounce light color, erased some hard edges in using that hard edged airbrush and then blending some of the edges out. This then gave me a guide to add in bounce-highlights with a hard pen, that i blended out in some places. I then further pushed the main highlights using a hard pen and again, blended out the edges. All layers set to add glow and opacity lowered. This is where I'll usually stop for finished rendered pieces, because I struggle to find other things to add or change, and the hyperfixation is thinning out and caving into my hunger/sleepiness. Might add hard white highlight details, but those are the finishing touches.
7. Wtf details. Added in hair strand details and fly-aways, blades of grass, I'm up way too late and struggling to end the drawing process - Or im just enjoying rendering the hair. I almost never add in stray hairs like this, but it's something i enjoy visually.
Again, a lot of where I stop comes down to my energy, time, and the vibes I'm going for. Hope this answers your question!

Ghoap AU: Frozen Hearts and Electric Souls
Chapter 5: Tea
(I didn’t update last week so y’all can have this a day early)
“Mactavish.”
Shite. Soap’s face burned as he turned around and saw his lieutenant looming over him, probably the very last person he’d like to find searching their room, and a crash came from under the bed where he was looking.
“Uh, how ye doing, LT?”
“The fuck are you doing in my room?”
“Well, Cheeto ran out and went through yer cat flap, and-” *Another crash came from under the bed.
“I see. Can you not get him out?”
“He’s really far in there, and I can’t reach him.”
Soap watched as Ghost sighed and lay down on the ground, reaching under the bed and gently pulling out the reluctant prowler and handed him to Soap. looks like long arms really help in this situation.
“Thanks, Simon.”
“Don’t call me that, sergeant.”
“Sorry sir.”
“Anything else you need, or are you done invading my room?”
“I’m finished here, sir.”
“Then you may go.”
Soap left his lieutenant's room, to see Gaz leaning against the wall a few feet away with a harpy eagle on his shoulder, grinning at him.
“You went into the lieutenant’s room, and you came out perfectly fine. Told you he’d warm up to ya.”
Soap snorted, “he paid me a visit and threatened me for lying, that’s called being warmed up to?”
“Don’t sweat it, he investigates all the recruits he has to interact with, it’s normal procedure for him by now.”
“Great, it’s real comforting that he’s got all our files memorized.”
Gaz snickers, “Well, I actually came for you to meet my prowler, Zephyr. She’s a harpy eagle.”
“Does she ever fly off?”
“Rarely, and usually only for a good reason, so she hangs around with me most of the time.”
“Does she get along with… felines?”
“Some of ‘em. Just hope for the best.”
“Yeah, my cheetah prowler is Cheeto.”
Gaz looks down at the cheetah in Soap's arms, and raises an eyebrow with a smirk, “A tiny Cheeto Puff you’ve got there, I see.”
Soap chuckles, “Maybe I should make that his last name.”
“Yeah maybe you should.”
Ghost checked his emails and found one with specifications on the next mission in Mexico. They were going to enlist the help of a local team along with Shadow Company, since there had supposedly been over 65 attacks by the ‘Apollyon prowlers’ as they were being called. The surprising thing was, even with so many attacks, there was little information. Appearance: blurred darkness. Speed: unknown. Size: changeable. Destruction power: limits unknown. Type: | Shadow / Mythical / Soul / Mind / Absorption / Control / Matter / Multiply / Illusion / Mystery / Shifting / Possibly More | Ghost had never seen a singular prowler with so many assets, the most basic prowlers had one, as with 78% of all prowlers, while only 13% of prowlers had 2-3, and 8.9% 4-5, and 0.1% with more. This was unheard of, even with the ability to add assets on a prowler through a difficult and long process which often took over half a century. Victims of the Apollyons were found either dead yet perfectly untouched, living as a shell of themselves, or vanished completely. No blood was ever found at the sites, the only trace left behind by the Apollyons were the cold air that they were surrounded by. Ghost considered this information, unable to connect it to any sort of leads to why they had suddenly appeared, or how the hell they were even supposed to dispose of them. What they might need was a light gifted to combat the shadow, but light only shines so far, and he didn’t know any such people anyways. His thoughts wandered to Johnny, electricity and light were similar enough, and electric bursts were more powerful than light. The fuck Shadow Company was gonna do he didn’t know, but Johnny was something, and maybe the Mexican forces could be enough. He pondered for hours before seeing that it was 1650, and went to the kitchen to make tea, where he coincidentally saw Roach, their animal gifted, also preparing his own cup with his lion prowler, Simba.
Ghost grabbed his cup from the cabinet and started filling a kettle with water, “Hello Roach.”
Roach got the tea leaves and honey, nodding in acknowledgement.
Ghost boiled the water and poured it into their cups, while taking a spoonful of honey and dissolving it into his tea. He scratched behind Simba’s ears and sat down at an empty table, rolling up his mask to his nose to enjoy his tea, 1700 on the dot. Roach sat at another table with Gaz and Price, listening in to their conversation. The sound of a chair scraping against the floor was heard as the chair opposite him was pulled out, then occupied by the new sergeant.
“Having some five-o-clock tea, are ye?”
“Best part of the day.” Ghost eyed Soap’s drink, “Can’t say I like coffee as much though.”
“I’d say the same fer yer tea, ye fucking brits.”
“My tea doesn’t taste like shit, for one.”
“Oi! Me coffee don’ taste like shite, ay dinnae call yer tea shite tae yer face, dae ay?”
“English, Mactavish.”
“Go fuck yer tea, coffee’s great.”
“To you Scots.”
“An the res’ o’ the fuckin’ world, ye sulkin’ bastard.”
Ghost resisted the urge to roll his eyes and went back to enjoying his tea while Johnny discussed his thoughts and theories on the upcoming mission, most of which Ghost had already considered, but it was good to hear it from another perspective. Since they weren’t informed if the Mexican forces had prowler, Ghost spent most of the time listening to speculations about what kinds of prowlers they might have, including-
“a taco lizard, why not?”
“Johnny, that’s not an animal.”
“My ma said if ay didn’t finish my food, a lizard would steal it. Legends and myth class, ya know.”
“There’s no taco lizard legend.”
“Said who? Ye an expert on legends and myths now are ye?”
“What do you even call it?”
“A taco lizard?”
“A walking taco.”
“...please no.”
“knock knock.”
“No-”
“That’s an order, sergeant.”
“...who’s there?”
“Interrupting ghost.”
“Interrupting ghost who?”
“....”
“...wow. This just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it.”
“Feeling stressed? Make a nice, big cup of hot tea. And use your enemies as a tea bag.”
“...what the fuck?”
“you know my dad is in the garden.”
“Really?”
“You’ll have to dig to find him though.”
“Si-”
ending on a happy note 😊

hii sorry if you’ve already answered something like this in the past but how do you shade? ur art is always rendered so nicely and the colors are chosen so well!!
HELLOO THANK YOU! SO let’s start from the basics
when something is white or black you can change that to something else, here’s an example (for black you can just pick any colour and make it darker)
Tumblr media
2. if you have space (in the background? idk how you call it) you can put a showy colour
Tumblr media
3. colour picking - i tone it down / take the saturation
Tumblr media
i dont add lighting unless there's something like glass
separation line cuz its gonna get a bit long
1.
Tumblr media
you get your base colours ( i revived my oc for this ) (now after the basics u know where the white, black and [in this case] yellow came from)
2. i hope you know how to use layers
Tumblr media
specific art style thing, i dont know what that is
3. if you arent the type of person to stick all the layers of your base colours then CHANGE IT!! for this tutorial
so what you are going to do is create a gray layer, all gray, fill it, the layer has to be on top of the base colour layer
Tumblr media
u click that button, it has to look like this
Tumblr media
4. you create another layer (above the gray one) (it has to be on the same layer mode with the second button so what you do doesnt go out from the base colors)
Tumblr media
then you put your shading, I use red
+ i like to remark around the lineart bc yes
5.
Tumblr media
trust me
[extra unnecessary info = a good mix is red + blue, and purple or brown are good on their own (in multiply)]
6.
Tumblr media
you experiment with the layers, adding or deleting until you like it (i usually dont like if the shading ends up too not-colourful or too heavy) (the modes for these layers are multiply and SUBEXPONER) (I DONT KNOW THE TRANSLATION BUT ITS THIS ONE)
Tumblr media
7. once you get what you want you merge the shading layers one per one to the base colour layer, so its all gone, you have all in one layer
Tumblr media
8. BORDERS
Tumblr media
you make outlines around the shading, in a colour that is more ?saturated? / showy <- you can use these same lines you are doing to just remark what you want (like the speechbubble, bad example but u get it)
in the black color i used (here its darker blue) i didnt use a lighter saturated colour like everywhere else, i used a darker blue
9. SECOND ROUND OF BORDERS
Tumblr media
whats the difference between these and the ones from before? in this step your starter color is the base color (in the other you picked from the shading) , you dont go too far to make it outstanding
all of this it makes it more solid
10. AND LAST you colour the lineart (in the same layer mode you used before where what u do doesnt go out of the layer)
Tumblr media
very saturated here and i randomly added orange bc reusing colors is cool (since the filling behind the hair was yellow it ended up like this)
edit: i dont like to change much from the outlines, more the inside because i like it when it looks like a sticker
thank u for reading

Hello! I am a beginner artist and I love ur art!! Super pretty and the colors are very tasty. Do you have some tips? I'd love to see your art process!
HELLO ANON!! first of all i am very honoured that u would ask me this because 90% of the time i feel like i have no idea what i am doing and like im still a beginner artist myself DSDSJDF. i would love to share some stuff i learnt and some stuff about my process (regardless of how messy it is sdfhsj)
Tumblr media
(final piece)
here's an old example of my process i found! while the steps sometimes look different for other pieces, i feel like this is a good demonstration of how the basic structure looks.
1. the sketch - this is where i'm mainly figuring out how i want the piece to look. i was redrawing a screenshot for this piece so it looks a LOT neater than what a lot of my other sketches look like, for example, here's the process of me figuring out my recent drawing of haise:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(final piece)
in the first two steps, i was mainly working with showing myself what the piece was going to be. the last one was where i used references/technical knowledge to try and show whoever will be looking at it what the piece was
2. cleaning up the sketch + base colours. these two usually occur simultaneously because i will get bored cleaning up the sketch midway through and want to start adding colour LMAO. on a more practical note, sometimes putting down the base colours and having a better idea of what the finished product will look like might make it easier to refine things.
a note: cleaning up for me doesn't mean doing lineart. it mostly means erasing any overly messy lines on the sketch and redrawing small parts to make it look tidier where needed. i often leave it 'messy' at this stage, too. like here:
Tumblr media
(final piece)
3. light/shadow. this is my FAVOURITE part because it's where the piece starts pulling together. the method i used in the current piece was putting a multiply layer over the colours folder and filling in where light would be obstructed. after that, i used a luminosity layer to put in some bright sunlight. marc brunet has a great way of explaining it by advising to pretend that the light is the camera and you're behind the lens. this is such a good way to block in average light/shadow values! sometimes this looks a bit crazy because everything is still so messy but that is why we have...
4. rendering. this is where i fit all the remaining pieces of the puzzle together. i'll refine the colours a bit more -- e.g. colouring in the eyes, -- and fiddle a bit with the shadows to add some more variation to the hues/value. this is where i think a lot about light and shadow theory and try and make it look more realistic. marco bucci saved my LIFE with his videos about ambient occlusion and ambient light (part 1 / part 2) -- essentially, what i keep in mind the most is that if a plane in shadow is facing the sky (or is open to any other form of light that isn't the direct light source) it will contain ambient light. it is SUCH a game changer when you add it to your pieces, trust me, even if youre lazy about it. if needed i'll pull up some references to make everything look good!
5. rendering... part 2? honestly this step kind of blends with the last one as i tend to do it simultaneously. i basically clean up all the messy lines from before by painting over them! with the majority of the colours i need put down, i can just eyedrop them and paint over anything that's needed. this also comes in with the light/shadow, where, if i need a more subtle hue for either/or, i will eyedrop it and brush it in.
some further notes:
i very rarely use references during the first stages of my sketch. i think it tends to look quite stiff and unnatural if i rely too hard on the. and i personally prefer the creative room when the idea is still being conceived. references come in when i can look at what i have down on the canvas and have a fairly decent idea of what i want, including pose, composition, etc. it's essentially a first draft to guide me to where i want to go with the piece. it's when i'm done with this that i bring out references, and even then, they don't necessarily have to be the exact pose -- i'll usually get a couple of pics which show what i need to double check and keep them up as a guide. by the end of the 'sketch', i usually have a basic construction of what i need to continue, even if it's messy.
i use very soft brushes when putting down colour because it allows for more hue variation. like i said, i enjoy eyedropping and brushing in colours afterwards, so this really helps!
layer modes are ur friend! i try not to rely on them too hard during rendering because i like the freedom of painting over but they're very useful when you're blocking in your initial colours
sometimes, when i feel like i want to try something new with my art, i'll keep pieces that inspire me up in front of me. i have two of sui ishida's art books and sometimes i'll just flick to a page that oils the Art Gears in my brain and keep it open while i draw. i don't necessarily reference it, but i like having it there so i can glance over every once in a while. i don't usually make a conscious choice where i'm like "ok i want to render skin the way he does" but it's more like. my brain knows what it likes in his art and it'll try and push that part of my art in a similar direction.
honestly the best advice i have is that art is very much based on vibes. everytime i've tried to think too much about it, to do things 'correctly', to rigidly stick to art theory, my art has not come out nicely. i think the technical parts of art are important to know and understand but i also think it's important to let your knowledge come through naturally when it is needed instead of pressuring yourself to do things 'right'. tbh you probably already know that but it's something i forget a lot so maybe it serves as a helpful reminder?? sedsfhsl
ANYWAY SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG! i hope i covered what you needed and if you need anything else/want me to expand on anything feel free to drop me another ask ! <3
make sure to look after yourself and trust yourself and ENJOY!!! art is about having fun!

WIP Weekend
In a reblog of this post (so people can find you in the notes) or new thread (w/ rules attached) if you want to play on your own, post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.
Post a snippet from one of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to play!
After you’ve posted, people can send you an ask with one of your file names. You must then write 3 sentences in that file. If the filename is one you can't share from (for example, an event or gift fic), write 3 sentences on it anyway, and then 3 more on another to share.
That’s it! You can invite others to join in, or just post.
Tagged by @zombiethingy!! Thanks <3 <3 <3
WIPS: 1) 05 scarification reclaimation 2) dine-in 3) decades 4) he's still not going to wear a pair of khaki cargo shorts 5) curious I tried to put all new ones in here, though the ones I want to get finished ASAP are ~surprises~ so I can't add them to this game! Curious definitely isn't new, but I worked on it again recently. This game will hopefully get me back on track with being able to write again <3

Snippet of dine-in
"That's dangerous, you know," Steve's saying, but Eddie just shrugs down at him from the roof of his trailer.
"There are worse things. Join me?" He asks.
Steve climbs up to meet him like he's using his ninja skills to sneak into a girlfriend's bedroom window.
"There you go, it's not so bad up here," Eddie says, taking both of Steve's hands and leads him to a blanket he's got spread out over the galvanized metal. "It's been a while since I've seen you."
Steve nods, knows this to be true even though he also knows it's also true that they'd just been at his place, watching a bad movie and eating mediocre popcorn. He'd gone to bed feeling satisfied.
"What do you do up here anyway?"
They've settled onto the blanket and the sky is weird, like the stars are multiplied to the point where it looks more like TV static than space.
"Lure pretty men so I can ask to suck them off," Eddie says, simple.
"Oh, that's uh, that's cool," he says, wondering what Eddie will do since it's just him up here.
He's getting dizzy from trying to figure out the sky so he looks at Eddie, finally sees the look on his face, and gets it.
"Oh. I'm pretty men," he says through a laugh.

a silly mpreg drabble where brushing teeth becomes Jungkook enemy 🫧🪥🧴
tw : mpreg
Jungkook thinks being pregnant is silly—no, not the idea of being pregnant in a whole that makes it silly ; but morning sickness. That's what irritates him the most for the past 4 weeks after he found out he's pregnant and it just seems like it will never leave him alone. And each day, the reason of it's coming to him is so ridiculous—some days it would be certain food (now if he thinks about it, this is the most normal one), Taehyung's perfume, the newly bedsheets scent (in his defense, this one is his fault because it has to be changed after he threw up on it), and today .. it's the most ridiculous one, ever.
It was brushing teeth.
"Are you done?", Taehyung asked softly. Jungkook can feel his big doe eyes watching his movement as he finally managed to peel himself away from the toilet bowl after sending out a good two big wave of yoghurt and toast he ate 5 minutes later for breakfast.
"Mhm ..", he hums—throat too scratchy to make out a proper sentence. "I think so", he adds as he sniffles and throw the tissue to the bowl, joining the mess, and let Taehyung flushes it for him.
"That's good", Taehyung said with a little smile, rubbing Jungkook's back softly. "Let's get you cleaned up, okay?"
Jungkook let himself get whisked from the toilet. His hand unconsciously holds around his belly as he actually can still feel it sloshing around. He waits in silence as Taehyung prepare the toothbrush and everything for him—the older is too kind for him. It's like Taehyung's kindness has multiplies ever since they both found out about his pregnancy. He just understands him even More, to the things that Jungkook doesn't understand himself ; just like now. Taehyung just know how lethargic and exhausted Jungkook is after his bouts of vomiting—has done it more than he could count that he would go straight to the bed after vomiting, and curled himself to sleep without bothering to properly rinse his mouth, using mouthwash and yada yada .. too tired for that. So if Taehyung is there, he's the one that coaxed him to cleaned himself properly. He said, and Jungkook quotes—" You always become grumpy later, and even more nauseous after you woke up without cleaning yourself up, because you feel gross. So try to do it, okay?"
And Jungkook melts.
"Here"', Taehyung gives him the brush—breaking Jungkook's daydreams about him. The younger accepts it wordlessly, clinging on Taehyung as he brushes his teeth.
Usually, it was fine. He been doing this for god knows how long—even last night ! But why today it's so different?
Jungkook scrunches his face. His hand and toothbrush halting on it's movement in his mouth—as he suddenly feels queasy again. The toothpaste tastes funny to him, and the movement of brush against his molars .. Jungkook can feel his insides tensing with discomfort as a wave of nausea hits him. It's mild enough that he can try to control it, but it's definitely distracting and uncomfortable.
"Jungkookie .. baby, are you okay? What's wrong?", Taehyung's voices startles him, as he forgots for a moment that the older was wrapped around him.
Jungkook shakes his head, quickly spits the toothpaste out of his mouth and rushes to rinses it. He takes a couple of deep breaths, trying to keep the nausea down and prevent himself from retching.
It must have been a lingering sensation. He just threw up, so it just makes sense that he still feel queasy and want to throw up, again, so soon.
"Are you feeling nauseous again?", Taehyung asks. The concern is evident as he rubs circles on Jungkook's upper arms.
"No, I'm alright,'' Jungkook says with a shaky voice, shaking his head once again. "Just .. a passing wave", he takes a deep breathe and bring the toothbrush back— tries to finish the job and brush his teeth before throwing up for good ; eventually. But the more he brushes his teeth, the worse his insides get, and the more his stomach wants to let it all out in a violent retch.
Without a warning, Jungkook gags loudly and bends down over the sink, a few spurts of vomit coming up along with the toothpaste.
"Shit", Taehyung curses—it falls deaf between the ringing in his ears and his groans in irritation as his insides continue to tense and twist in discomfort. He puts a hand against his belly, trying to calm it. Jungkook's breathing becomes uneven, almost panting by now, as he's getting queasy and queasy by seconds.
"Baby .. you're ok, just breath through it", Taehyung whispers gently and presses the other boy's nape reassuringly. Jungkook only can let out a grunt—at time like this, his boyfriend comforting words feels like a false hope—before his stomach convulse, and he doubled over in front of the sink, the queasy sensation in his insides reaches it's peak. He gags loudly and leans down, bracing hisbody against the sink as he vomits up the toothpaste and any remaining food. Each heaving cough sends a sharp jolt of pain through his ribs as it's digging against the porcelain. "Hyung..", groans softly as he gags, riding the next bout of retching to hit him.
Everything is loud this time for him—the sound of taps water running to immediately rinses the brown vomit, Taehyung's low murmurs beside him, Jungkook himself gasping for breath. He grimaces and burps a little—still can feeling something pooling deep in his stomach and waiting to come out.
"Are you done, Kook?", Taehyung asks—still rubbing soothing circles against his shoulders and neck. Jungkook shakes his head, as he itches to feel a relief, and get over of this nonsense nausea. He brings back his toothbrush, giving it a back and forth, just twice—and the effect is immediately. He belches loudly—not caring if he sounded gross. His eyes are closed shut, and he breathes deeply, trying to prepares himself as it's comes out empty. But he knows it's coming—and it did 5 seconds later. He lets it come in full force—his knees buckles a little; Taehyung immediately tighten his grips around his shoulder, as he burps and a big wave of vomit—mostly water, leaves his stomach and pours onto the sink. He barely registers it, as the nausea passes, leaving him drained and weak.
"Gosh ..", Jungkook straightens his back and makes an exasperated groan. "It was awful hyungie .."
Taehyung chuckles as he turns on the faucet to the maximum for a couple of minutes, "It's better now?", he asks as he hands the limp man in his arms a glass of water to rinse his mouth. Jungkook did it quietly, gargling a little before taking a sip of water to clean his palette. He spits it all out and looks like he's feeling much better now. "Mhm .. i'm back to zero. Everything has sucked out of me and i'm empty now", he mumbles with a sigh, "I will never brush my teeth again, hyungie"
Taehyung laughs as he guides the younger to the bed, pressing a soft kiss over his temples, "I will rat you out to our baby when they are born. "Look, your appa was gross back then, he never brush his teeth!""

A manga caps cleaning tutorial. requested by @noctemys
Program: photoshop cc2019 but could work on any older or newer versions.
i’ve been working on this and a hard time choosing which cap should i work on, i decided to write it using an easy one to work on and writing the tutorial on, but you could work this one even in more challanging caps to clean! i’ll show examples of different difficulty at the end of this tutorial. i’m still a work on a process when it comes to cleaning caps!
*tip: always try to use a high quality files! i personally like to work on the official files if they’re available. they make a huge difference as seen between this old and newcleaned cap!
step.1 first step is choosing a cap of your choice and crop the panel that you like. mine is from Special A by minami maki.
Tumblr media
step.2 zoom in the cap, i usually go with x800! then using the lasso tool i select all the area i would like to erase and clean! this step could take a long time with some caps that have overlaying background effect with the characters. you could also use the pen tool or the magnet tool, whichever feel more comfortable using.
Tumblr media
step.3 once you finish selecting the whole area you want to clean, with a white color fill the layer with white color!
Tumblr media
step.4 some caps do need to up the contrast in them just like this one, i usually use the levels to increase the blacks and whites by ticking the black point to the left to increase the blackness and the white to the right until i like the result i get. for this one as it leans more to the grey than black i only needed to increase the blackness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
step.5 some caps aren’t truly in black/white so i just add a gradient black and white!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
step.6 add a new colorfill layer and fill it with #f1f1f1 and set it to multiply. and delete the mask!!!
Tumblr media
step.7 this step could be the last step or will need an extra step to make. and in this case we’ll need the extra step use magic wand tool select the background that i just cleaned you’ll notice the selection will include parts of both hikari’s hair and kei’s face.
Tumblr media
step.8 after deselecting, with a round brush with a grey shade color - my choice is shade is #373737 -, i would zoom in the cap again and notice where the gaps that’s causing the selecting mess is. and while in the cap layers i would redraw those tiny parts… sometimes the gaps are big and there’ll be many gaps.. you could either redraw by the mouse directly if the missing parts are small and tiny or use the pen tool to do that!
Tumblr media
step.9 using the magic wand again select the area you want and select the colorfill layer click the mask icon from the layers box and you’re all set!
Tumblr media
step.9 - optional- a last step i’ve been adding lately to my manga caps edits is adding this texture at the top of layers and lowering its opacity to 8% for a nice little touch!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the final layer box will look like this.
other cleaned caps before and after: before→ after | before → after | before→ after| before → after
you could add any background you like at the end for a different ending result

Anemo 5(question mark)??
so uhh, I really really REALLY wanna make an au where Venti, Xiao, Scara, Kazuha, and Heizou meet and become buddies.
Venti's a high school weeb with no friends who gets bullied. He used to live with his friend but he died(a reference to the nameless bard), so he lives alone. He is always up to date on the latest anime and manga chapters. He knows a ton of popular Vocaloid AND Utau songs(as well as the more obscure ones) and he is a DIEHARD fan of Hatsune Miku. But all the fandom trivia aside, his constant bullying and isolation from others robbed him of not only any chance of getting a girlfriend, but any chance at getting any friends. Ever. Because let's be honest: most anime fanatics are neck beards, why should he be any different?
Xiao's a teacher's pet/straight-A student/mr. perfect/ WHATEVER THE FUCK and he lives with Zhongli(who is his dad in this au). Still haven't thought of how to add the deaths/disappearances other 4 yakshas in this au, but we'll deal with that later. He has a generally good home life, but his admirers + his teachers put IMMENSE pressure on him to get all A's. Nobody sees it yet, but he's slowly cracking under all that pressure. But he can't let them see that, right After all, you've gotta keep your cool when you're Mr. Perfect.
Kazuha's the handsome soccer guy who's best buddies with Itto and Gorou. He's the hot jock who seems like he would willingly beat the shit out of you, but he's actually a super sweet dude who dreams of being a famous singer. This is because he and Tomo wanted to be a famous singing duo. They loved Vocaloid to death and always sang their songs during karaoke night. Unfortunately, Tomo died in a car accident 2 years prior to the au's events. After his death, Kazu's parents wanted him to ditch his dream and do sports, and he couldn't bear to see his parents in pain.
Heizou is the ladies' man/class clown who, despite being EXTREMELY popular with the girls, has absolutely zero actual friends. Most of the girls who pine for him hardly even know his last name, let alone his personality. They just see the show he puts on for others. They see the guy who flirts with the gals and sticks it to the teachers. They don't see the truth. They don't see the pain. I'm willing to bet that they hardly notice that the bandages on his body keep multiplying.
Scaramouche is...well, hardly anyone knows all that much about him. He mostly keeps to himself, sitting on the rooftop and doodling. Most people are afraid of him, and for good reason. Anyone who dares approach him is given the death glare of the century. He has severe trust issues and saying that he doesn't particularly like his classmates would be a SEVERE understatement. Which is why it comes as such a shock that Venti, the most bullied kid in school, would approach him, and CONTINUE to approach him day after day. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't see that as an honor. He just thinks Venti is deranged. Because who would walk up and try to talk to the scary monster that everyone else runs away from?
let me know if you like this idea, and gimme some feedback!! tysm!!

DND Class Ideas: Runeblade
A class all about using their strength and intelligence in tandem, to the point where rolls take away the difference between the two stats, Runeblades focus on multiple attacks of the mundane and magical each round. They use runes to get more attacks and damage in each round, but each subclass does so in a different way. Also, instead of adding their proficiency bonus to attack rolls, they add their strength AND intelligence modifiers, but take away the difference in the strength and intelligence stats (if you had 20 str and 10 int, your attack rolls would get +5 because of str, +0 because of int, and -10 because of the difference in stats. if you had 16 str and 16 int, you'd get +3 from str, +3 from int, then -0 because the stats are the same.). All subclasses will gain passive runes over an hour period, with the max passive runes being your proficiency bonus multiplied by your level.
Subclasses:
Runeblades have two categories of subclass: the Rune (which element one specialises in) and the Blade (which weapon one specialises in). I'll start by going over the Blades, and then the Runes.
Blades:
Sword: These runeblades focus on the duality and synchronicity between their strength and intelligence. When they make an attack, they gain runes equal to their proficiency bonus, and can expend runes to cast spells (in the same way other martial classes can attack twice with one action), with the spell costing 2^x runes, where x is the spell's level (cantrips cost 1, level 1s cost 2, etc.). At higher levels they also get an action surge (although it costs runes).
Dagger: These runeblades focus on the more magical side - they get runes by casting spells (half your proficiency bonus rounded up multiplied by the spell level, or just 1 rune for cantrips) and can expend them by gaining bonus actions (1 for the first bonus action, 2 for the second, 4 for the third, etc.) which can be used to attack, or whatever else. They are also full spellcasters (the other classes are half spellcasters).
Axe: These runeblades focus more on the physical side - They can't actively gain runes, relying solely on their passive pool. They can expend runes to coat their weapon with their specialised elemental energy, adding their proficiency bonus to attack rolls, and adding their strint modifier (str + int mods - difference in stats) to their damage. This lasts a number of turns equal to their proficiency bonus, and costs half their proficiency bonus. They can go into this state by casting a spell of their specialised element, but then it may cost their full action. At higher levels they gain the ability to spend runes to do extra attacks.
Runes:
Fire: These runeblades focus on higher damage with a higher cost. They get the level 1 spell Fire Blast, which does xd4 fire damage where x is your proficiency bonus in a 5ft cone. At level 5 it becomes a 10ft cone, at level 10 a 15ft cone, and at level 15 a 20ft cone. Upcasting it adds a d8 per level.
Ice: These runeblades focus on weaker magic that is easier to cast. They get the cantrip Ray of frost, but it costs half as many runes (round down), is worth double, and from level 5 can be upcast, doing 1d4 per level.
Lightning: These runeblades focus on additional weapon damage. Casting a lightning spell gives you a lightning charge (I just learnt they aren't in 5e, but these are slightly different to in bg3 anyway so shut up), making your attacks deal +x lightning damage where x is the number of lightning charges. Your lightning charges halve (round down) when you make an attack, or at the end of the turn (if you didn't make an attack). You gain the level 1 spell charge, which adds lightning charges to your weapon equal to your proficiency bonus and only uses a bonus action. The lightning bolt that hits your weapon also can do 1d6 damage for every lightning charge on your weapon (including the charges added by the spell). When upcast it adds two charges per level.
Anyway let me know whether this is overpowered or not. I tried to make each Rune have an obvious synergy with one Blade, while still being useful and interesting with the other two (i.e. sword works best with fire because it gains enough runes to cast it without using spell slots each turn, but ice lets it gain runes for free each turn and lightning will qucikly ramp up its damage while letting you cast two spells (because shut up I'll allow it); dagger works best with ice as dagger can't gain spell slots, but fire lets them crowd control and lightning lets them use all their stored charges in one turn doing disgusting damage; axe works best with lightning, as they can coat their weapon using a bonus action without spending runes, and they focus more on single attacks getting more use out of the lightning charges, but fire and ice have more utility with crowd control and range). If you have any ideas for more Runes and Blades, also let me know!

Correct me if I'm wrong. In order for Godhand to form in the form in which it exists now, 5 Eclipses had to occur. 5 new angels: Void, Ubik, Konrad, Slan and Femto, with Void appearing after the fall of Gaiseric's empire, approximately 1000 years ago. Between 5 Eclipses 4 time intervals of 216 years. It turns out that 216 * 4 = 864 years should have passed from Void to Femto. But it is said that about 1000 years have passed (and the empire fell 1000 years ago). We add another interval of 216 years and get 1080 years. But then, it turns out, since the showdown between Void and Gaiseric, 5 time intervals between 6 Eclipses should have passed? I hope I expressed myself clearly. Thank you in advance! <3
You have expressed yourself perfectly, and I have wondered about that. My general assumption, if I'm being honest, is that Miura just multiplied 216 by 5, and got "1000ish years" because he forgot to count Femto as 0 instead of 216.
Before you accuse me of copping out there, I have reasons but also alternate thoughts.
So, reasons I think this is fairly likely to be a math error:
Gaiseric's era was specifically set at 1000 years ago.
There definitely are five Godhand: there's one per finger explicitly, there are only four Godhand when Void ascends, and there are only three between him and Griffith, and Griffith is repeatedly referred to as the fifth angel, the fifth godhand, etc.
And the prophecy about the lake of blood specifically says it appears when the sun dies five times, ergo Femto is the fifth Godhand to rise. You could speculate that it was written after Void's Eclipse, which is possible but it does seem evident that it's meant to reference the five Godhand that we know, otherwise it may as well have said four or eight - we know there are at least 9 that have existed, after all.
Basically, there's just no evidence that there's ever been a Godhand post-Void other than the four we have, and at this point in the story it would be a bit of an asspull to suddenly drop a secret sixth on us. It also destroys the hand theme and all the references to five five five.
If it isn't just a math error:
There would need to be a sixth Godhand, which seems unlikely because see above. OR
They would need to have skipped a cycle. OR
There would need to have been another Godhand at some point who, I don't know, died or something?
The skip cycle is possible? The main thing I can think of that might account for an extra 216 without a new Godhand would be if someone turned the deal down... but I tend to think that there would be less expressed certainty around destiny if that were the case. It would also mean there had been six eclipses instead of five, unless the person died before the Eclipse happened - possible.
The third might be the most likely, and I can think of a scenario where that would make sense, BUT... the counting Eclipses thing would come up again. I also feel like it would have come up by now, or at least it would have been hinted at by now.
The one scenario I can think of offhand that would make sense is if one of them had been killed by, say, Skull Knight and Flora. This would explain why Griffith felt the need to have Flora killed, and could also explain some of the cryptic dialogue around Flora in general and perhaps help explain why Skull Knight is STILL AT IT - if he knows it can be done, then he won't give up on doing it again.
tl;dr: I usually assume it's a math error but now I've half talked myself into thinking another Godhand either died while still a candidate or was killed by an alliance of Skull Knight and Flora, so who knows. The counting Eclipses thing still sticks on me, though.
Where the whole cycle theory from yesterday is concerned, though, it doesn't make much of a difference - I'd just have to adjust from "the reincarnated Godhand is the fifth" to "the reincarnated one could be any of them depending on what IoE is trying to accomplish." The overall point remains... especially the part about the last one being Void since Miura did specifically place Gaiseric's era at the right time for that.

@persimmonsimmer posted about her ROS and mentioned mine, and I realized it had been a while since I posted my list. There’s been some changes and additions since I last posted it in 2020! And her list inspired me to add one or two more as well.
I compiled this list from various people as well as some of my own ideas. I just do one roll per household each round. Since Brightmaple is only a quasi-BACC and I don’t play with mayors or town funds, I leave out any scenarios involving those.
I don’t use a program for it either, I just keep a list on my iPad where I track all my round info too, and just ask Siri to pick a number for me.
Feel free to yoink any ideas you might like! There aren’t very many dramatic ones because I’m so soft with my Sims lol.
Full list under the cut!
1. Day out - all eligible Sims go to a community lot
2. Movie night - invite friends over for a movie and snacks
3. Picnic - make food and go to a park for a picnic
4. Family reunion - invite over any known family members
5. Movie night - invite friends over for a movie and snacks
6. Blind date - call matchmaker for a single Sim
7. New outfit - your Sim wants a new outfit, go shopping
8. Games night - no homework for kids, play games all night
9. Large pet adoption - get a cat or a dog, Roll dice to choose
10. Small pet adoption - a small caged animal will join the family
11. Grouchy - your Sim picks 1 to 3 arguments with another
12. Vacation time - spend a couple nights away at a vacation destination (or more!)
13. Fitness regime - your Sim wants to work out, get fit and eat healthy
14. Rebellious - child or teen stops doing homework, skips school and doesn’t do homework for 1 to 3 days
15. Date night - take a Sim couple out on a date
16. It’s a phase - a child will only wear a costume for 1 to 3 days and sleep in a tent, teens get a piercing
17. Get back to nature - your Sims spends 1-2 days camping in a tent, grilling out and fishing
18. Party time - throw a party!
19. Friendly neighbour - chat up the next 2 to 4 walk by’s
20. Bad influence - influence someone to do something stupid
21. Take advantage - influence someone to do them a favor
22. Exchange student - host a teenager from a foreign country
23. Tired of cooking - order delivery at least once a day for d4 days
24. Shopaholic - buy something from every business in town
25. Stray love - greet and interact with the next stray you see, try to adopt
26. Old pets, new tricks - teach a pet a new command
27. Lottery win - roll dice 1 to 10 and multiply by 1000
28. Worst fears realized - fulfill 2 to 5 fears in a rotation
29. Secondary aspiration - change the secondary aspiration for at least one round, you can keep it after if you want
(this round in Brightmaple I’ve decided all adults will get secondary aspirations based on @belladovah‘s calculator, so this ROS that used to be “get a secondary aspiration” is now changing to a changed one)
30. Barber shop - change your Sim’s hairstyle
31. Four eyes - your Sim needs to get glasses
32. Grilled cheese - your Sim gets the grilled cheese secondary aspiration

35. Self doubt - change aspiration for this round
36. Reconnect with friends - invite 1-3 friends for an outing
37. Make Your Move - try to initiate a romantic relationship with the Sim that you have a high relationship/chemistry with (family Sims can re-roll if they are already in a relationship, romance Sims can buy a love potion to aid them)
38. Scary dare - visit the cemetery at night
39. Dine out - go out to a restaurant to have a meal
40. Close Encounter - get abducted by aliens d2 times
41. Kitchen Renovations - no dishwasher or stove, just a sink and microwave or toaster oven, while you wait for the new appliances to arrive! (D4 days)
42. On the prowl - take a single (or romance) Sim out on the town to pick someone up for woohoo (or teen level activities if that is the chosen Sim)

In case y'all haven't seen it in my bio, I'm continuing learning to become a card counter. It's something I'm very passionate about, as I love the process and viscerally hate casinos. Since it's such a misunderstood practice, I'd love to invite any questions y'all have, as well as provide a basic guide.
Since these are the things I listed, it shouldn't surprise you that these are myths (yes, even See Results). Card counting is a skill, so it's perfectly legal, but casinos can back you off. You also don't need a great memory or be good at math, as everything involved is fairly simple. Finally, it takes time to make a profit, but the rate increases the longer you play.
Now on to the guide!
Bear in mind that this is a quick guide to the basics, so I won't go into bankroll management. However, remember that EV means expected value and RoR means risk of ruin. I'm also assuming you know how to play Blackjack.
The first thing you need to learn is basic strategy. This is the optimal way to play the game, which lowers the house edge to about half a percent, given you're playing a table with good rules, which includes splitting aces, double after split, double on anything, late surrender, hand shuffle, 3:2 naturals, etc. Below is a basic strategy chart for S17 games.
Tumblr media
Once you've got basic strategy down, you can finally start counting. The system I use, as well as most other counters, is Hi-Lo, as it's extremely effective and easy to learn. The first index you need to keep is called the running count, which keeps track of player vs. dealer advantage. This goes as follows:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - Add 1 to the running count
7, 8, 9 - Do nothing, these are neutral cards
10, J, Q, K, A - Subtract one from the running count
The reason we add and subtract in this way is interesting. Unlike other games, which are pure chance, because we know what's in the shoe at the start, we can know what's left by tracking what comes out. Because a player blackjack pays out at 3:2, it means that the player has a greater advantage when the shoe is rich in high cards. The Hi-Lo system is balanced, meaning the count starts and ends at 0. To practice, just thumb through a freshly shuffled deck of cards and keep the count. If you can get through it in under a minute accurately, you're on the right track; your goal should be around 20-30 seconds.
Now comes the slightly hard part. The math isn't difficult, but it takes some refreshing to get used to. In order to more accurately know your advantage, you need to convert to the true count by dividing the running count by the number of remaining decks in order to get your average number of high cards per deck. The main skill you need to cultivate is the ability to estimate how many decks are remaining, but the best return you'll get for your effort is by estimating to the nearest half deck. You can find lots of practice apps or have someone stack cards.
Personally, I multiply by the reciprocals of the decks remaining to get the true count, since I can't divide by halves fast enough.
For the last section, I wanna delve into something a little more advanced: playing deviations. You can get about a 20% boost to EV by using only 20 or so deviations. You deviate from basic strategy when the count goes a certain way. For example, you should never split 10s, but if the true count is +5 or higher, you should split them. This allows us to take advantage of the count by doing more than changing our bets. Here're the BJA S17 playing deviations:
T,T vs. 4 - Hit at +6+, otherwise stand
T,T vs. 5 - Hit at +5+, otherwise stand
T,T vs. 6 - Hit at +4+, otherwise stand
A,8 vs. 4 - Double at +3+, otherwise stand
A,8 vs. 5 or 6 - Double at +1+, otherwise stand
A,6 vs. 2 - Double at +1+, otherwise hit
8 vs. 6 - Double at +2+, otherwise hit
9 vs. 2 - Double at +1+, otherwise hit
9 vs. 7 - Double at +3+, otherwise hit
10 vs. 10 or A - Double at +4+, otherwise hit
11 vs. A - Double at +1+, otherwise hit
12 vs. 2 - Stand at +3+, otherwise hit
12 vs. 3 - Stand at +2+, otherwise hit
12 vs. 4 - Hit at under 0, otherwise stand
13 vs. 2 - Hit at -1-, otherwise stand
15 vs. 10 - Stand at +4+, otherwise surrender or hit
16 vs. 9 - Stand at +4+, otherwise surrender or hit
16 vs. 10 - Stand at above 0, otherwise surrender or hit
15 vs. 9 or A - Surrender at +2+, otherwise hit
15 vs. 10 - Hit at under 0, otherwise surrender
16 vs. 8 - Surrender at +4+, otherwise hit
16 vs. 9 - Hit at -1-, otherwise surrender
Insurance or Even Money - Take at +3+
That just about covers the basics of the Hi-Lo system. I left out a whole bunch about bet spreads, bankroll management, risk asessment, avoiding heat, and other tricks, but this is more or less here to spur interest in card counting. Feel free to ask any questions, happy counting!

what is the process you use to make your drawings? and what base do you use for the people, I’m trying to get better at drawing people myself, and I absolute love your style! 😊
Hi! I usually
1) sketch out my compositions
2) do a clean sketch/dirty line work layer
3) do my base colors
4) do a basic shading pass with a multiply layer and a hardvpainting brush
5) do a basic highlight pass with a 30% add layer and a hard inking brush
6) do more multiply and add layers from there until I'm happy
7) merge, and fix any final things by color dropping and painting directly onto the layer
Here's a speedpaint of my process I posted before, its a bit different from the process described, but honestly I'm always playing around with different styles and processes so I mess around with these steps a lot lol
(Similarly i can never tell people what brushes i use because I usually just download a bunch of cool looking free ones and then choose a random one)
As for drawing people, I also can't really give many shortcuts; I'm a biology student who learned art under someone who was classically trained, so I basically did studies until I learned the bones and muscles, and now for better or for worse, I don't really use references. I'd say what really changed the way I thought about drawing people was learning all the joints in the body, and how they functioned.
Tumblr media
Like, knowing the range of motion of your body is super helpful, and even if your proportions are weird you won't end up with janky posing.
It's also helpful, when drawing muscles, to think of your body as a piston system. You have an antagonist muscle that pairs with each muscle that essentially reverses it's motion (think: biceps and triceps) and thus whenever you draw a person flexing an arm, for example, keep in mind that if you draw that buff bicep, you gotta also leave room for the triceps. Also remember that fat exists on any healthy person, so limbs should really never be sticks
Last drawing tip for people: learn how to shade things, like just generally. Things are a mix of hard and soft shadows, and don't be scared to really push your values to be very light and dark. I've been told not to shade with black but honestly, the way I layer multiply layers just means I do it anyways and as a not-professional, I like how it looks
tldr: unfortunately, I don't know any tricks or shortcuts, I only can suggest to learn the rules before you break em. Sometimes classical art training techniques are good

Unit Teambuilding - Eusine
Ah, Eusine.  Morty’s friend chasing after Suicune.  Apparently he’s just gonna show up with it now, and in shiny form.  Masters fulfilling all the Johto dreamers.  But now that he’s caught his dream, he must answer the question everyone faces when succeeding at such an all-consuming life goal.  What next?
General Overview Eusine comes in as a Water-type striker, which is a pretty loaded category. Eusine offers some interesting tools, including Whirlpool for Trap damage, and Blizzard as coverage.  Ice being such a rare offensive typing, this is a helpful option to have.  Whirlpool also kicks off his natural multiplier, a 50% bonus to move and sync damage against trapped opponents. Think Lysandre's Burn multiplier, but for Trap. Eusine also packs interesting tools in Piercing Gaze, so Whirlpool and Blizzard will never miss, and Recharging Strike, so his AoE attacks pay for themselves in CS.  To add to the fun, Eusine has three other excellent selling points.  First, his Buddy Surf is spammable no-penalty AoE with a 20% flinch rate.  While the flinch is negligible, the damage is quite good, being 160 base power.  Second, his trainer move is Anni Lillie but better, immediately capping all offensive needs and applying Condition Nullification to the party. Lastly, this guy's grid is insane.  2/5 packs everything you need for a really good Blizzard DPS set, and 3/5 offers up to 200% more sync damage, for a whopping total of 250%, and up to 60% more move damage for 110% total.
Eusine's cons are few, but notable.  First, while Buddy move is spammable, he needs to attack twice to activate it, which means you're not realistically getting any attacks in until he's under 50% HP.  Second, his Buddy move is just kinda okay for 4-bar damage, and because it's already no-penalty, damage doesn't compress, making his single-target DPS much worse. This is exacerbated by the Recharging Strike struggle of getting only one bar back in Gauntlet, on a guy with relatively limited speed control.  The slowing down of his DPS is also notable because you need to be re-applying Trap constantly.  Without it, he's not dealing the same amount of damage at all.  Lastly, he does have serious sync issues.  The major multipliers he has access to still do not push him above SEUN Siebold, and because he's a Striker, EX hits all foes, negating the benefits of Buddy Surf.  Which, outside of the spread damage, is a really bad Buddy move. 20% is a horrible flinch rate, even if it is AoE.
All that said, I promised I would talk about this in the Adaman breakdown, and Eusine is a great time to do it.  Many players have (correctly) identified Eusine as the sync pair to skip.  However, they cite his typing as the reason. Water is plentiful, we don't need more Water.  That's not the point.  Setting aside that off-typing has been a thing since the 0.5 anniversary when SS Red dropped, we have Gauntlet streaks, limited CS, and another new mode next month, all encouraging repetition of types and skills.  A sync pair's overall effectiveness matters more than type, and by effectiveness, Eusine is good.  If you like him, pull for him, he'll put in the work.
The bigger question to ask yourself is whether you have the resources.  Yes, Eusine is very good.  But is he as good as perma-Sun/Grass Rebuff/Def debuff/phys tank Adaman?  Is he as good as HailZone/triple debuff/special tank Irida?  Is he as good as Silver's Tech nuke and rapid-fire debuffing?  To me, the answer is no. Eusine offers the least compelling tools of the month, and that's the reason to skip.  Don't be fooled by the notion that type oversaturation still matters.  It doesn't, and hasn't in a very long time.  It matters less now than it ever has. The real question is whether his tools are better than his immediate competition, including the rerun of a top support in SS Morty.  And personally, I don't think he is.  He did a good job, but he's still the last winner.
EX and Move Level Eusine’s EX is almost hilariously unnecessary given how his DPS works, but his sync is also so good that it’s like...the added stats are really nice, you know?  So I’m torn on EX but ultimately it is very unnecessary.  Move Level is, as a result, also unnecessary.  DPS is mostly confined to his natural passive.  2/5 is useful for Blizzard, while 3/5 is useful for the sync power that will carve a serious niche for Gauntlet.  I will caution, there is absolutely nothing in his 4/5 or 5/5 grid worth talking about.
Team 1: Eusine, SS Kris, SS Ethan This is the team.  For all his faults, Eusine combos beautifully with the Johto trio, getting 80% move damage bonus and matched theme skills.  Kris gives little stat benefit, but does provide Rain and stacks of moves up next.  SS Ethan also provides AoE trap effect, which is divine.  The only problem is how slow Eusine is to access his buddy move, and how this means he’s effectively wasting Kris’ charity.  You have to kinda delay Kris’ decision to spam trainer move.
Team 2: Eusine, Irida/Lucian, BP Morty Blizzard focus.  Irida is the best pick, thanks to Mind Games and the Zone/Hail combo, although Lucian with debuffs is a solid option as well.  All you need then is BP Morty for defensive support.  This is the benefit of Eusine; he literally wants nothing out of his support.
Team 3: Eusine, Tech Gyarados, Skyla Budget Water.  Tech Gyarados sets Rain, and has a solid flinch rate to help disrupt.  Skyla has defense and speed.  You can probably get away with BP Morty, but I'm trying to give options that do unique things.  In this case, Skyla is a better partner for a lot of Gauntlet stages, due to how limited Recharging Strike can be there compared to CS.
Team 4: Eusine, Lodge Adaman/Kali, Tech Gyarados/Surge Gauntlet structures.  Lodge Adaman isn't a terrible partner to Eusine, offering the defensive buffs and a bit of speed on the side, as well as fixing up issues of Cobalion's -2 special attack.  Alternatively, Kali can be used for Stat Leech strats with Latias.  Tech Gyarados is a general flinch bot that also supplies Rain for Adaman, while Surge is an option to paralyze and debuff special attack against Tornadus and Uxie.  Eusine's trap effect is super valuable for Uxie, and Piercing Gaze answers Latias' evasion crap nicely, so long as other stats are debuffed.
Final Thoughts Eusine is fine.  I think he's even pretty good.  His Ice DPS is surprisingly high, all things considered, and his Water damage isn't terrible either, although calcs do show his sync below SEUN Siebold and DPS is below Kris.  It's the AoE thing that sells him, but like a lot of sync pairs with this no penalty DPS effect, his single target damage tends to be less surprising.  At least his sync is strong to compensate in Gauntlet.
