getting a good night’s rest in your happy little moss bed, dreaming your little dreams, of your dreamy little house, in your dreamy little world. finally, you weren’t having another nightmare. no screams were here, no blades were pointed at your neck here. you’d stay here forever if it meant you’d never wake up to those things.

truly, he felt like some sort of sicko. who in their right mind just watches someone sleep? he wasn’t even sure how long he’d been at your side, now.

I want to start for a message for the collective : You can send prayers and positive energy if you want, it can help and it also elevate the vibration of the situation, but you have to understand that the universe is perfect and what we see now, is his divine purpose that he is following. I asked if everything was perfect in this plan and the answer was positive.

Chris is going through a great awakening coupled with a night of the soul at the same time. Since he's been putting off work for a long time. I had an analogy with RDJ. Few people remember what this man went through, but he was in hellish limbo. He did a lot of drugs, was put in prison for many years before he understood his divine purpose. Today, he's one of the world's most respected actors, married to a stable woman, with children… Everything was perfect. It all depends on the karma you came to this Earth with.

We don't remember it, but we sort of signed up for the obstacles that were put in our way. We are souls living a human experience to learn. Learn what? Unconditional love. This is the goal of all human beings. To recognize and live unconditional love. Some learn it with their partner or friendship, but also parenthood… Through their work too. Artists are the catalysts of divine light. Remember how you feel when you hear music you love, and see how you vibrate. It's the same with a film. When you watch a good film that has brought you comfort or strong emotions…That's why I said in my previous posts that the industry is going to change. There are too many parasites preventing humanity from elevating itself through art, and putting money before magic.

What's going to be hard for Chris isn't really now, but afterwards. After this lamentable show is over and he realizes what a mess it's all been. He'll realize: What's the point of making movies when no one can see you anymore without feeling disgust ?

He is no longer in the good graces of his fans, nor of the public. But strangely enough, that's where he'll find freedom. He won't have to feed the Captain America image, and he can finally come into his own and make bold choices. He'll once again see his profession as an art form, and no longer as a means of making more money to finance his harmful lifestyle. He will be helped by a man - I don't know who exactly, but it's someone in the industry who will encourage him to surprise both the public and himself. His wife will also be a major creative force in his life, and he'll do everything to earn her admiration.

Once again, he chose to learn in the most efficient way to prevent him from screwing up. From what I gather, this has to do with his past lives. He's screwed up a lot in past lives and he doesn't want to sacrifice this one. That's why his lessons are violent but benevolent nonetheless. They're just public, and therefore degrading, as we witness his humiliation, but this will change him for the better. He needs it. He needs to be at the bottom of the hole to see the light.

I was reading through your posts earlier and saw the one about LSH CJS & KRS' abilities, and it made me want to share my personal headcanon for another Ability of KRS. As a disclaimer, I think this is very unlikely to be canon, but I found it such an interesting idea that I have pretty much integrated it into my headcanons and just wanted to share since you were also guessing about potential other abilities for him. Basically, I think an interesting third ability for KRS would be: being in the right place at the right time. I know it sounds pretty lackluster, but hear me out. Over the course of canon, there have been a LOT of lucky coincidences for Cale. He is constantly stumbling into people who desperately need his help at exactly the right moment to provide it (and earn their undying loyalty.) Hannah and Jack are just one of many examples of this. It's like his random encounter chance is at 100% at all times. Now, I do understand this is run of the mill for fiction, and in order to have a good and interesting story you need to maintain a certain suspension of disbelief for the lucky/unlucky coincidences the protagonist runs into, and I have no issues with that, which is why I say I doubt this is a canon ability. BUT, I do think it would be both interesting and reasonable within the setting for KRS to have that sort of ability. To explain my imagined details, it is basically an intuition of "if you go to this place at this time, then something you want/need to do will be there". No hints or anything about what will happen, just "go here and figure the rest out on your own." For the guy who can never leave anyone to suffer, even as he insists he wants to be a slacker, I think it would be something he couldn't ignore. Basically, it is a useless and even confusing ability for anyone but Cale, who has maxed out observation and strategy skills allowing him to notice the Random Encounters in his vicinity. It would also explain all the times he just so happens to run into exactly the person he needs to solve either a current or future problem. Honestly, what inspired me to think about this was the idea that a lot of Cale's dear friends and family members would straight up be dead if he hadn't coincidentally been there to give them the opportunity to save themselves, and it made me really sad so I came up with an Ability to fix it. I basically overthought things so much the power of Cale's protagonist halo leading him to story-relevant events was unable to soothe me, lol.

That's truly, really interesting! I don't think you overthought this at all – because it matches quite well with a certain theory of mine! …Well, not 100%, but hear me out.

Personally, I don't believe that Cale has a "luck" ability.

It's still a solid theory, of course – because if he had such an ability, there's a high possibility that he wouldn't realize it (having lived an extremely difficult life, on the top of being emotionally dense). In his previous life as Kim Rok Soo, he was under the Curse of the God of Death, which caused him constant misfortune and suffering. However, a "luck" ability would alleviate the symptoms a bit. Meaning: despite the odds, KRS still survived. He still made friends. He still experienced joy. Perhaps it was just because the Curse was weakened for KRS in comparison to the White Star, but perhaps he also had a natural affinity for good fortune, which helped him out.

I don't believe that's the case, though. Because you forget another important factor in TCF which hadn't been explained in detail yet: and that is Karma.

Now, according too google, Karma (in Hinduism and Buddhism) is "the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences." In TCF, it seems Karma is some form of energy, which can be obtained in three ways:

being naturally born with it

saving a lot of people by sacrificing yourself

stealing from other people by killing them

While we know that Karma can be used for transportation between universes ("I dedicate my Karma", a method used by the Hunters), and also having a lot of it means ascention into a divine being like a God or a Wanderer… I believe that Karma is also tied to fate, in a way. Good fate, to be specific.

Someone like KRS, who bore the Curse by no fault of his own, his Karma would remain unaffected. He would have earned a lot of it by saving people through-out his life and sacrificing himself constantly. Remember the incident where Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk died? KRS decided to stay and sacrifice himself, too. Just because he didn't die doesn't mean his sacrifice didn't count.

My point is: I think KRS got a lot of Karma. Which means there was a lot of good fortune in store for him. However, due to the Curse blocking all of it (or most of it, who knows), it was bottled up and unavailable… until the moment he transmigrated as Cale.

As Cale, he suddenly had a huge untapped reserves of good fortune on his side. And I think that was the reason why he was so lucky. He was guided to all the allies he would need by this force of Karma, which is directly tied to Fate. He was even able to alter the fate of the Black Dragon's – Raon's – death. The narrative stated that it was such an important event, that even Nature took notice of it and had to "accept" Raon as living in the world. Cale's earned Karma was so powerful he was able to implement such a huge change.

To sum it up, I don't think Cale is lucky because he's a protagonist written that way, or because it's an ability of his. I really think it's because of Karma, and that we will find out more about it in the future.

Names

A common practice of many Pagans is to choose a name to go by specifically within ritual. These can be called Magickal names, Circle names (as many Pagan rituals are held within an energy circle), Witch names, Craft names, or Ritual names, depending on who you talk to.

Some choose to keep their legal/everyday name, but others feel that it doesn’t reflect who they truly are or who they are/wish to be within the confines of sacred space, since they did not select the name themselves and/or don’t relate it to their Pagan identity. There are some paths wherein a teacher chooses the names for their students at one time or another, but to be so bold as to make a blanket statement about the Pagan community at large, the majority of teachers are more than accepting of one’s personal choice of name.

Some choose a name for the general Pagan community and non-Initiate rituals (if they follow an Initiatory path), and another different name for their Initiate workings. In some instances as well, the name given in large Pagan gatherings has no resemblance to a person’s own Circle name, it’s simply a pseudonym they’ve chosen to adopt in order to remain anonymous, and then keep their Circle name private.

Additionally, some people have an even more private name that is known only to the Gods, and is only used in personal rituals away from any group or Coven. In some cases, this name is told to the individual during meditation, or somehow otherwise communicated to them directly from the Gods, or some other entity acting on Their behalf. But not everyone has such a name, so even if you’re never given one, don’t feel as though you’re somehow incomplete or unworthy.

Lastly, in some more Traditional settings, the name of the Coven can be used as a Magickal surname of sorts once one is initiated. For example, someone who goes by Chase and is Initiated into the Sacred Spring Coven, would then sometimes be referred to as Chase Sacred Spring.

However they are chosen though, these names are generally only used in Magickal/ritual workings, and using them otherwise is the sole decision of the individual. The main reason for this change of identity is to facilitate the change of mindset and attitude necessary for ritual/Magickal workings. Circle names are believed to carry the individual’s personal power, energy, Magickal identity, and spiritual potential.

Some places people draw inspiration for their names are:

an animal they feel connected to spiritually (e.g., their animal guide)

a God or Goddess they especially revere or wish to emulate

a more abstract concept such as “Spirit” or “Karma”

a reference to their family heritage (such as choosing a name from the language of their ancestors)

a heavenly body (planet, moon, star, or constellation)

an item from nature (tree, flower, other plant, stone, gem, mineral, etc.)

fictional characters

historical persons

minor Deities and other mythological players (such as mythological creatures)

Or something else, or any combination of these things. There are nearly endless sources of names and inspiration. If you’re stuck or indecisive, I recommend making a list of the sorts of things from this list that make you feel particularly Witchy and aware of your own Magickal power, and see what you’re most drawn to. Meditation or divination, especially with a pendulum, can be helpful here also. For a meditation, you can perhaps visit with your patron Deity, a spirit companion, or a departed loved one for guidance.

In some instances, people try to attune their Circle name to their given/legal name by way of numerology. In this practice, each letter of the alphabet is assigned a number from one through nine, each letter is added up, and the sum is reduced further till there is only a single digit. For example, the name Alex in numerology is 1 + 3 + 5 + 6. That sum is then 15, which would then be reduced, 1 + 5 = 6. So, if Alex wanted to attune their Circle name, they would select a spelling that also added up and reduced down to 6. Two other numerological methods involve discovering one’s Life Path and/or Soul Urge numbers, and then attuning one’s Circle name to one or both of those. These methods involve the numbers in one’s date of birth, and more information about uncovering them can be found here.

Also, some change their names when they reach a new step in their learnings, such as Dedications, Initiations, Degree Elevations, forming their own Coven, etc.. New life stages (puberty, coming out, medical/surgical transition, parenthood, death of a loved one, marriage, divorce, menopause, etc.) can also be incentive to select a new Circle name. Rarely, if ever, is a name permanent though, so any reason to change it is a valid one.

Blending many inspirations can sum up how one feels about their Pagan self, but this is something to consider carefully. Although “Midnight Autumn StormOwl” might be very meaningful to you, try empathizing with anyone who’d have to say it repeatedly in a ritual! To add to this, consider how others may react to your name; would others consider it humorous or offensive? Would you constantly have to be explaining or defending your choice?

Some names and words have become very popular over the years. References to dragons, wolves, crows/ravens, oak trees, roses, willow trees, the Moon, water (e.g., “River”), fire, and the colors silver, green, and black abound. Many of the more well-known Gods and Goddesses are common as well, such as Pan or Diana. Also, names somehow considered more “cool“ or “mysterious” can be used often (Morrigan and Merlin being two among these). Odd or unique spellings also cause confusion, at least in the realm of pronunciation (Gaelic or Gaelic-inspired words and names are a popular choice and a prime example of this).

I certainly don’t mean to imply that one must never choose one or more of these complex, common or perplexing names if they seem a good fit, however one must always then expect some degree of confusion and possible scoffings (and worse, alienation) in some Pagan settings. Unfortunate, but a reality nonetheless.

Some would argue that choosing a Deity name, however minor that Deity is considered to be in Their native pantheon, is conceited and disrespectful. Personally, I do not believe this. As stated above, to me it signifies that a person feels a connection to the Deity, or wishes to take on that Deity’s traits and qualities. For example, someone who chooses the name Thor might wish to bring strength into their Magickal workings and life in general. One who chooses Athena may be seeking to gain wisdom. However, one must remember as well that one cannot pick and choose which aspects of that Deity they embrace or ignore; if the name Thor is meant to bring strength, it may also bring a quick temper and impulsiveness. And sometimes the Universe has a sense of humor, and the name chosen brings the precise opposite of what was intended. This is one area wherein careful and thorough research, along with introspection and more meditation or divination, is especially beneficial.

An important thing to note is that the titles of “Lord��� and “Lady” are generally considered something to earn, not something one can decide to appropriate on one’s own. In some Traditional settings, only High Priests/Priestesses may be called Lord or Lady, and in others, only High Priestesses receive such a title. It is generally considered pretentious and ill-mannered to use these titles without having earned it somehow, and determining whether one has earned it differs between groups/Traditions. However, when attending a ritual away from your home Coven/group, it is considered good etiquette to refer to the Priestess as “Lady,” especially if you don’t know what name she goes by in Pagan/ritual settings.

One hint I can offer is to imagine someone referring to you by the name(s) you’re considering, or having your spouse or a close friend do so at random, unplanned moments. How well do you respond to it? Does it catch your attention right away, or does it take you a few times to notice? How do you feel about the “image” of you it projects? Does it accurately reflect YOU?

And lastly, it is NEVER acceptable to reveal someone’s Circle name, or “out” them as a Pagan, without their knowledge and consent, especially not in association with their legal name. This is not only for anonymity’s sake, but because names carry power, and some believe that their name falling into “the wrong hands” can be dangerous, physically and socially as well as psychically and spiritually.

Whatever the reasons and arguments for and against what type of name to choose, the key point to remember when selecting a name is that it is to represent YOU, and how you wish to be perceived and received in a ritual setting. It is the name by which those you Circle with, and the Gods, will know you. Make your choice seriously, but also remember that this choice is not permanent. If you feel your Magickal identity has changed, by whatever event(s), so much so that a name change is also warranted, by all means, make the change. Just make sure those you perform Magickal workings with are aware of your new identity.

It is also rarely required (by a Coven or other group) to select a different name than your legal/day-to-day name, but some individuals feel it not only necessary for developing their spiritual self, but also a very rewarding way to connect with their Pagan identity, and with the Gods.

From around the corner the green hooded figure releases a spark of divine magic. Nothing like a little miracle, though he was summoned and this little spark went to his most loyal acolyte. Who the hell is he kidding? He’s got a weakness for the girl. She made him who he is. She deified him, he just never bothered to correct her. He’s taken that title, taken that crown and worn it with pride and well, he was just bored and the adoration sounded like fun. Not much else to it than a god-complex and self confidence because one doesn’t get where he did without a little risk and reward. The downside of that is that now he has disciples yapping in his ears day and night and it’s getting annoying. He’d just try to ignore it normally but after an eventful day, when he heard that tiefling beg for his help, he wasn’t going to deny her. He wasn’t going to let his best girl hanging. He’d expand most of his resources for her and he was running out for the day when he popped over, lend that power and got stranded in this shithole of a city in Xhorhas, to say he’s less than pleased is an understatement.

Severely disgruntled and regretting the decisions he’d made for a millisecond he ran, hoping he wasn’t spotted Artagan moves on. Can you imagine, someone of his stature running and hiding in the shadows instead of just snapping his fingers and disappearing in godly grace? It’s a tragedy and now he has to wait here too until his powers restore and he can go back to that far off beach somewhere. This dream is quickly crushed by footsteps falling in line with him. His appearance changes to better blend into the crowds and he knows very well the individual strolling up beside him carries their own disguise. He’s not so easily fooled and stares right through the illusion. Benefits of the origins he’d chosen to discard for the sake of his divine story. Nevermind he mutters curses under his breath. 

“Looks like you’re in need of a break. How about dinner? Breakfast? Lunch?” Artagan can’t argue with you there, he could do with some food though he doubts anything worth eating could be found in a place like this. Perhaps you’d share that sentiment and offer to save him from this hell and get him to that beach of his. 

“There’s this place around the corner.” You continue, looping your arm through his. He didn’t offer. You just did. Kiss his cheek while you’re at it. The gestures feel wholly belittling to him. Like you know what he’s been up to. “It’s called Karma. You’ll love it. Serves exactly what you deserve.” 

“I am sorely disappointed in you. That’s terrible.” Artagan deadpans like you didn’t notice the slight hint of his lips curling up before he turned it to utter disappointment in your poor excuse of a pun. Okay maybe it was decent but he’s not going to tell you that. 

“And that’s mildly offensive. I’m amazing! You could get as lost in my words as you could in my eyes. I’m so captivating.” When you get the archfey to facepalm and halt your walk, you grin victoriously. 

“Please, if you are to torment me with your horrible attempts of jokes, kindly leave me to suffer on my own.” Artagan untangles his arm from your grip and walks into the nearest alley, leaning against the wall. You follow, perching yourself on a stack of crates. You clasp your hands together, leaning your lower arms on the curved blade of your scythe and dangle your leg a foot above the ground while the other is bend at the knee. You sit there in silence, or at least sort off. You can’t help yourself from being a little shit and whistle, nudge your heel against the wooden crate, the tiny things are are definitely just slightly annoying. You know exactly what you’re doing. 

“I killed some plotting nagpas, you know. Was quite the fight. Earned some more favour with the Raven Queen. Kind of good to have a decent working relationship when you reside over the same domains.” You pick your nails, like it was nothing. It was quite something. It was epic. You slew the traitors, had them screaming for an end. Queenie wanted them to suffer, she got it. They were marked for death, two birds one stone right? Artagan rolls his eyes. 

“Oh please don’t tell me you’re jealous because I’m making friends with the big guys.” 

“On the contrary, darling. Over confidence, arrogance, a view of right and wrong that applies to all those who worship you except for yourself, an obsession with power, twisted morals, impossibly high standards and a never ending need for people to praise you. You fit right in.” Your expression hardens, so does his as you look him straight in the eye. You jump from your crates, hold your scythe tightly, allowing the pommel to hit the ground with a loud thud for every other step you take until you’re face to face. Your hand reaches out, fingers grazing his cheek, along his jawline, over his pointed ear. No response. Your staring match remains unbroken. Your appearance shifts to what you know his true features to be, even if he can see it’s an illusion, he’d still know. 

“Must be hard saying those things to yourself?” He raises an eyebrow in question at your comment. “Is this what we call progress? All it took was a little self reflection.” He snorts. Good enough for you. With that you take his hand and drag him out of the alley. 

“Where are we off to?” Artagan hesitates even asking at this point. 

“Off to find a drink and get your boots cleaned because, darling, you should be ashamed.” You glance down at the dirt and grime covered boots. Now it’s his turn to use what little remnants of his magic are left and make himself appear as you; covered in dirt and grime and blood, there’s even some still splattered on your cheek. It’s certainly a look. 

“Self reflection.” He does his best impression of you and it’s not half that bad. You laugh and with a wave of your hand the two of you pop off. At least you both have a preference of the beach. He doesn’t know why given you’re prone to wearing what best fits your divine duties; black and some varying shades of grey that might once have been black but are no longer. Some accents of red are not out of the question but he’s noticed you have recently been sporting an emerald green ribbon among your attire. He has to say, he likes it. Could do with more green though. 

It isn’t long after you find your way to that beach you’re both several brightly coloured drinks in, fancy glasses in hand, little umbrellas decorating them, and discussing the recent events; your travels, Artagan’s clout building and annoyances with the responsibilities of being a deity and so on. You’re having fun. The sun is getting lower in the sky. You’ve been drinking for a few hours and haven’t stopped. This was a good time off and the only way the two of you could stay remotely drunk before the alcohol would wear off. So much for an immunity to poison… 

“-so there she is, dangling from the Platinum Dragon’s statue in his temple and the chase begins. Her little goblin friend- who’s another case you’d love to uncover, decides to be the distraction. Of course it goes horribly, imitated the keeper of the temple, blinked through the guards’ grasp and somehow made it out without being caught. They’re still scrubbing off the paint from that statue.” With a little magic he lets the scene play out in illusory lights as you both laugh at the immature cartoonish depiction and reactions of the juvenile caricatures. 

“You’ve definitely been busy while I’ve been away.” You finish your drink. 

“Well what else was I supposed to do when you asked me to make trouble for the both of us? I’m a creature of my word.” He places his hand over his heart as if hurt or insulted but the grin on his face says otherwise

“Right to the very dot too.” With that Artagan finishes his own drink and sighs. “What? Divinity becoming a bit too much for you?” You give him a look that earns an eye roll. He can’t help the blabbering is becoming too much. 

“‘Traveler, please hide me from my enemies. Traveler, help me exchange the sugar for salt. Traveler, free me from the guards. Traveler, Traveler, Traveler. Can’t I have a moment to myself?” He buries his head in his hands, exasperated. You nudge his knee with your leg and he looks between his fingers. You mention towards the sunset, sympathetic smile on your face though there��s something to it.

“You know, they say light travels much faster than sound.” He waits to see where this is going as the server exchanges your empty glasses and leaves you two again. Artagan takes his and sips it. Not too bad. Bit sweet for his tastes. Biter sweet, like him, you’d say. He avoids snickering to himself. You’ve been a horrid influence. Before he knows it his trickery will suffer under your terrible sense of humour. 

“Perhaps that’s why I thought you were a bright one until you opened your mouth to speak.” He finishes for you, cringing internally. He’s definitely suffering under your effects. 

“Rude! You stole my joke!” You kick at his knee but he easily catches your foot and gives you a ‘try me’ look so instead you just cross your arms and huff before your features soften again. “But to answer your question; your acolytes are like the sun, you might not always see them but they’re there. They’ll be annoying you every day for as long as your divine story lives on and spreads. What might be a couple hundred now might grow out into thousands in a handful of years. You chose to become the Traveler, you’ll have to put up with the not so fun parts too.” He supposes you know what you’re talking about. You sigh, think for a second and continue.

“Or alternatively you could present a narrative that allows you to be slacking on the job without the loss of the benefits and adoration godhood brings through some grand scheme that is doomed to fail and end in disaster.” You said this as a joke, by the looks of it Artagan is actually considering it so quickly you back track.

“That is not half as bad of a plan. Needs some tweaking of course but so does any early concept.” He deliberates, you can already see the cogs turning in his head and you’re afraid for his terrible sense of judgement, irresponsibleness and of course general lack of awareness of the consequences to his actions. 

“No. No no no. Nuh-uh. Arti, you know what happened last times you messed with these types of things. It never ends well.  Need I remind you of the Wodenna disaster? I swear I will not be pulling your ass out of yet another self-inflicted catastrophe!” You threaten pointing an accusatory finger at the archfey who grins at your comments.

“I’ve heard that one several times before.” He retorts and you’re not even surprised. He’s right. Despite whatever reckless chaos he’d worm himself into, you’d always be there to pull him out. No matter what, you still would. You’ve not lasted through centuries together for nothing. But that doesn’t mean you don’t get to tease him relentlessly for his mistakes. 

“Will ignorance and apathy really be your downfall? I expected better from you.” You jab back with a trademark grin to match Artagan’s. You raise your glass, so does he.

“I don’t know and I don’t really care.” You suppose you did walk into that one that’s on you. He clinks his glass with yours and you can’t be mad about it but definitely take a big sip. You need more of this lousy alcohol. 

“I hate you.” You grumble over the rim of your glass. He winks.

Thinking about Pact/Pale Strawhats, very rough ideas. Spoilers for all probably.

ZORO: Lost Swordsman, emphasis on Lost. Originally just a regular peter-pan-esk Lost Boy on a 'ninja's vs pirates' path where you had to manipulate and set up fights to progress, a group of finders managed to break the path by permanently killing Lost to manipulate the bracket to be smaller so it was easier to get through. Kid Zoro was forced to be the 'greatest swordsman' and then easily defeated by the path runner so many times the path lost enough power to give away boons, collapsing around Zoro who only survived by swearing an Oath to the universe that he would earn his title for real. Haven't decided if Kuina fits in better as a path runner here and Zoro exists as some sort of wolf/mirror/whatever entity made on the path for her as a worthy opponent, or if she would just be another Lost.

NAMI: Former aware turned elementalist? Can't get too much into her deal without getting into the Fishmen question.

USSOP: Blackguard of the group, the liar. Kuro was a practitioner trying to use magic to rise in innocent status, karma used Ussop as a tool to balance things out, and it left him aware. Maintains innocence as he's still scared of whatever regular thing the universe hides magic stuff as. Uses magic items and guns as he can't actually Practice.

SANJI: Bogyman - "Blackleg". Sanji gets forgotten in the basement and without any human connections, gets claimed by the abyss. He latches onto an outdated form of chivalry and romance and the need to feed people as ways to crawl out, turning into a sort of urban legend about a man in black suit that kicks men to death who violate his personal principles: hurting women or wasting food.

CHOPPER: Divine Reindeer. Regular reindeer that ate a bit of divine essence and became a very small, very nervous godling(? similar to Tashlet in Pale) with access to Creation, manifesting in his multiple forms. Originally a familiar to Hiriluk, using the stability of the familiar ritual to stop Chopper from changing constantly form and Hiriluk trying to stave off his fatal illness with Choppers divinity.

ROBIN: Originally I thought Diabolist (Demon child, whole world wants her dead, suffering) but the aesthetics of a Horror fit so much better. Has a similar deal to the Horror gal in Pale, only Robin escaped her family after trying to subtly leak how their practice worked to the world. She obscured her Self from tracking attempts by hiding in Baroque Works. Crocodile is a Collector of people similar to Bristow. Maybe her family used Demons to Destroy the memory of how exactly they pulled off the Horror trick?

FRANKY: Hyde/Technomancer. He is the guy that Essentials warns you about, trying to combine Familiars and Demesnes and Implements into the same thing. Thousand Sunny is a mad max sort of train-bus-camper, which he powered up with every single one of the three main rituals, forcing himself to Hyde into Battle Franky if he wants to get anything done outside of it (Or maybe Hyde back into Cutty Flam, with Frankly bound to the Thousand Sunny?)

JINBE: ??? Honestly I don't know how to resonate Oda Fishmen Allegory with Wildbow Others Allegory without pratfalling down a metaphorical set of stairs where every stair is a landmine. Oni?

Sometimes

Every so often, it doesn’t really matter what I’m doing, but my eyebrow will hurt.

I reach up and rub my fingers over the scar there, from the eyebrow piercing I used to have.

The one I did myself.

I really liked the way it looked while it was there.

For once I actually smiled when I saw myself in the mirror.

Any pain was worth it for that brief moment of satisfaction when I saw someone I knew rather than a blurry face as my reflection.

Did you know piercings can reject out of stress?

I didn’t. I do now though.

I remember that when things got bad, all my piercings, even the ones I’ve had since I was nine from Claire’s, got infected again.

I wasn’t sure why.

I mean, looking back, I know why I didn’t understand, because getting worse was a slow descent down the hill, rather than an abrupt tumble off the cliff.

I didn’t notice when things turned gray because every day I woke up things were just grayer, and I stopped noticing anything was different until I saw in black and white and had to acknowledge that something was off.

I didn’t know piercings could reject out of stress until one day I just pulled it out of my face by accident.

I wanted to see if I could.

And I could.

There’s a scar there now, but you can only see it if you know what you’re looking for.

Can only feel it if you know where to touch.

It made me upset, then, and still does.

I couldn’t even get a cool scar out of this. That’s the least I could get.

No, all my scars are internal. All my pain is visible to nobody but me.

Hard to get somebody to believe you’re hurt when every wound you have is invisible.

But that’s just how it works I guess.

I wish I had scars, sometimes.

I wish I could bleed and hurt and ache like everyone else.

I wish I could show someone my wounds and once and for all prove to everyone, but mostly myself, that I’m not making this up.

It’s real. I’m hurt. Please help me.

God knows I need it.

Invisible Illness is killing me in more ways than one.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of future I have when I’m like this.

I got a job recently.

Two weeks ago tomorrow.

But it won’t ever be two weeks, will it?

I was doing well.

I was told so by my superiors, so I can only hope they weren’t lying to placate me or something.

I tried, I did.

It won’t ever be two weeks because I had to resign today.

I feel like such an asshole.

But I can’t.

I’ve been sick for nearly five days now with no sign of letting up.

Now, surely, getting sick isn’t a reason to quit your job, they’ll understand, and when you get better you can go back, right?

That would be the case if it were a cold, or flu, like everyone else has.

But I don’t know if what I have will ever go away.

I don’t know if I will ever recover.

Sometimes I forget that I’m not like everybody else.

I get so angry at myself that I can’t do what my friends do, can’t do what others my age do, can’t walk, can’t run, can’t get out of bed, can’t stand on my feet and work without being bedridden for days.

I get so angry that I’m not like everybody else. Because they can do it, why can’t I?

I’m just not everybody else.

Sometimes I wish I was dead.

I wonder what kind of future I can have here.

What kind of life I can look forward to when every goal and dream I had fades away as this stupid disability I have slowly gets worse.

I keep whispering to myself that things will be better when the doctors finally figure out what’s wrong with me, but I wonder if that’s really the case.

The others tell me that it’ll be okay, because when they find out what’s wrong with me they can fix me.

It feels sometimes, like I’m the only one who wonders if I even can be fixed.

Sometimes I wonder if I did something to deserve this.

If this is divine punishment of some sort.

Because what’s the alternative to that?

That I didn’t do anything?

That sometimes good people just have bad things happen to them and that’s the way of the world?

I don’t know if I want to believe that.

I want to believe I deserve this, somehow.

Because the alternative means that…

I didn’t deserve it, and this simply happened because…

I was just unlucky.

Sometimes I wish I was dead.

At least then I wouldn’t have to deal with this.

I want to scream and rip and tear and pull myself apart at the seams, if that’s what it takes to fix me, to find an answer, to understand just what exactly is causing this pain, this decay, this festering rot that plagues me from the inside.

I need to know.

Not knowing is killing me.

But at the same time, I don’t want to know.

What if it’s bad?

I am afraid.

I am so very afraid.

Sometimes I wish I was dead.

But sometimes I wish I was better.

I wish I never had to deal with this.

I wish things were better.

I wish things were better.

I don’t understand why that’s so much to ask for.

Sometimes I wish I was dead.

And that’s sad.

Sometimes I wish I was okay.

And somehow, that’s sadder.

Some of you are undergoing some really heavy transitions here and some of are you are about to stepping into manifestations or be given things you’ve been asking for long term or things that were divinely orchestrated for you to have as these things are part of the divine plan for you to come into, it was only a matter of time I just heard. Someone or some of you have done a lot of inner work or undergone a lot of tower moments within the last couple of years or beyond that. There’s emphasis on past life karma or deeply rooted triggers, past situations or nostalgia weighing heavy on the heart chakra. Issues and blockages with the nervous system are significant as well. Some of you who this message is for may not have super trivial or turbulent pasts or can’t think of anything that has happened to you that may have caused significant damage or changes but some of you have had a humble beginning or have had to pave the way for yourself for a long while and are making breakthroughs at this time, I just heard “debut” someone actually makes music but there’s an energy of those who are being blessed soon being given the opportunity to really step outside of their shell or step outside of a version of themselves or a version of their reality that was stagnant or was limiting for a really long time. Someone is due for a heavy reset in their lives as well and is being pushed to leave all things behind.

Whomever this person is has dealt with a good amount of loss or was being prepared to make these steps for the past couple of months as they went through a consistent process of having to let things go that they carried with them a long time and this is sort of a climax moment in your plot here. You made a physical transformation (through appearance perhaps and/or most certainly through people and environment) there may be people from your past or people you’ve let go of whose karma is coming around to them soon or were taken aback by the move you made to move forward without them and are going to continue to be taken aback for whatever is coming for you next or whatever you’re about to come into. i just heard, "you need to stop hiding." someones fear of being seen made a spontaneous return or there was some sort of extinction burst here but spirit says that behavior isn’t going to do moving forward.

Someone is struggling with guilt or a lot of unresolved feelings and deeply rooted issues or emotions regarding various situations within their past but there’s a message here about coming up on the moment where it’s finally time to let these things go. Indefinitely. Someone had some sort of “villain origin story” or some sort of large emotional catalyst that caused them a lot of chaos and pain I’m hearing but you can’t take that with you where you’re going. Whatever you’re about to receive is on its way but while you wait confront all these things that are coming up to the surface to be let out and resolved. You’re sensitive to energies at this time as well, you know what people are thinking of you or how they feel about you on an internal scale whether they want to admit it or not but this is there problem don’t let their energy dictate the way that you feel. Whatever guilt you’re holding onto, whatever energy they’re sending that you’re absorbing, you need to release. You did the best you could, let it go. Forgive yourself and forgive others. Let it go.

Letting things go is very significant at this time. Don’t let other people’s thoughts, energies, perceptions of you or intentions hold you back any longer. Take all your power back. 2023 is significant as well as 2022 and 2020/2021. There’s a lot of unresolved bullshit within the heart chakra that may be effecting the solar plexus as well as the sacral chakra, I almost said root, the root as well.

Pay really close attention to where all your emotions are felt in the body when triggering emotions or thoughts arise within you. The chakras I just channeled tell me a lot about what’s been going on within the collective and where a lot of these trigger points or internal emotions or dialogue are sitting. There’s a lot of crisis or reflection regarding who you loved, what you loved, what you were passionate about, how you loved, what love meant to you, and that experience and what you did/were doing in the name of love or in the energy of love, there’s a LOT of feelings and unresolved emotions and just *shit* really that’s sitting within oneself regarding all of that and who that makes you or your essence!! Forgive yourself for the mistakes you made, for the times when you couldn’t love yourself beyond how much you loved others, and for some of you make peace with the fact that the hardship is over and you did what was asked of you and stood tall in what you loved, believed in and were passionate about despite what you faced from others. A lot of this hardship took place 2020-2023 for a lot of you. Remember who you are, what makes you who you are, your essence, your power, your energy, your strength! There’s a lot of self hatred or some overly critical energy you’ve picked up along the way that’s coming up. Someone feels like throwing up or has been nauseous lately. A physical manifestation of spiritual and internal purging.

Today's been a tough day. I'm pretty cranky. The upstairs neighbor's boyfriend was back over, so there was a ton of creaking and thumping all day. The box fan mostly drowns it out, but waking up to those thumps really sends me into survival mode. I hate waking up feeling like a door slammed right next to my head, that adrenaline jolt and all that.

It was storming all day, I woke up after 3 hours of sleep to close the downstairs window and get some water. I got more sleep and then was woken up by the thumps and needed to calm myself down because my whole body was screaming "danger". I decided to do some research on karma, rather than open a social media app. Oh shit, actually that's not true, here's what happened. I opened this, Tumblr, on my art account that has nothing on it. And I searched for "zen" hoping to find... art related to it, so I could find people to follow and start building my account. And I found a few very insightful blogs that helped me calm down and reminded me of some important things in life. But it reminded me of what I was writing in here last night about... intentions... and the whole ahimsa thing and how that relates to intentions. And that brought me over to doing more deep-diving on karma.

And it turns out that intentions play a very big role in things traditionally. Predestination/fate/all that aside. The vibe that I got is that your intentions and your actions are more important than the result... and that in many schools karma is much more of an ethical thing than a causal thing. It is causal, but the big difference that separates it from simple cause-and-effect is your intention, which was the thing I was really unsure of. That being... because intentions are never truly seen, and are really a leap of faith to believe. And, tying it all together... Justice (divine justice, in reference to Justice from the tarot) is about all of this, the defining trait of Justice is that she can see your deeds and your true intentions. And I guess my big issue and why I am still haunted by encounters with Justice is... I lack faith. I have had good intentions through so many horrible situations, I have had so many people I've trusted as family betray me, so many situations where I've gone in with the best intentions and watched it all burn down. And I struggle to keep faith that divine justice is an actual thing. That I will be met with good and love and generosity and kindness, not just more selfishness and deceit and exploitation. It's hard.

And I guess it's not fair to put the sins of some onto others who I haven't even met yet. And maybe I don't even really feel that way, I'm just... reflexively trying to keep myself safe from potential (perceived as "likely") threats. I don't know.

I have no intentions of discontinuing my path of being a good person, and leading with love. I just... I struggle to have faith in the rest of the world. I often feel like... being a good, loving, honest, kind person... and working hard on something soulful, built with passion and integrity... it's either... not enough... or it's unwanted. And, more often than not... it can make you a target.

Maybe this is just residual from being around fucking Twitch again. Honestly, it probably is. I think I'm just spending too much time around people with toxic attitudes, constantly trying to one-up each other and shit like that.

I was going to stream tonight. I was late to it, but I was set up with the cam and everything. I was going to just stream me sorting gravel and listening to a youtube lecture on the evolution of ancient spirituality. And I chickened out. I decided it was already past midnight, it was too late anyway, and I just watched a stream instead. I got a lot of sorting done, but yeah.

So... I also skipped my workout today because I was really tired from fucked up sleep. I did a bigger and more intense yoga routine to compensate for that and called it a rest day. And I went to start stringing my new necklace... and found that it was way too short to be a necklace without some kind of spacing between the beads. I was tempted to use my small black obsidian beads that I had left over as filler beads in between... but I don't have enough. I tried to tie knots between but the knots are too small and the beads just slide over them... so I'm going to have to figure out... either bigger knots... or I'm going to have to make a new batch of beads to separate them. I guess maybe that kinda upset me a bit. I was really excited about that piece, the beads came out so good... and now it's just falling flat. I was even going to seal the beads in a jar with a small sample of cinnamon to kinda... infuse that smell in them, since they all kinda look like apples and I have cinnamon on-hand. It seemed like an appropriate scent combo, more-so than robbers. Robbers just makes me think of Christmas.

So... the necklace fell flat. I tried doing a little research on gaits and kinesiology and all that, to follow up on that new animation/visualizer idea, it was interesting and useful, but I just wasn't locked in on it today. I was just kinda drained and bummed out. Depressed, I guess. Crap weather, still hot, bad sleep, project snags, it was just not a great day. And my granola? It wasn't crunchy, it was kinda... chewy and wet. I don't know if I didn't cook it enough or what. And I couldn't taste the freeze dried strawberries at all. But other than that, it was good. I threw it in the fridge for a few hours, I'm hoping that helps it consolidate. I don't know if that will make it get crunchy... but yeah. Again, it's not bad, it's just not as great as I was expecting. But I have some frozen real strawberries I can mix with it tomorrow, maybe that will make it shine?

Here's the coup-de-grace for the day. It was about 3AM and I was still watching the stream and sorting stones at my desk. And I heard this loud thump. And I reflexively was like... "man, fuck my neighbors" because I'd been hearing loud shit coming from the building at all hours for the past few days and all night. Like my upstairs neighbors were watching a movie so loud that it upset the dog in the apartment next to mine, that isn't even below their unit! I just get so... "try to look past it, try to see the good in it"... that I never say anything about this stuff.

Anyway, that loud thump? It was one of the wooden blades from my ceiling fan snapping off and slamming to the apartment floor 15' below. It landed about 2.5' to my left. I had just shaved my head today too, so it would've been the absolute least resistance for impact. Just BOP right to the noggin. So... I guess it's a good thing I have that box fan, because I'm going to be using that as a primary fan now.

I've had that ceiling fan running non-stop since... probably December? Maybe January? I did research on it before I made that call and people said it was fine. I kept it on low exclusively, and I kept it running mainly to keep air circulation for the plants. And I really do think it helped. On that super hot day the other day? I cranked it up to High before bed, then back to low in the "morning". Before yoga today, I put it up a notch to Medium again. About half an hour before the blade fell off, I heard the whole thing wobbling and immediately reached over and turned it down to Low, not realizing I had left it on a higher setting for most of the night. Not really realizing it was that big of a deal...

So... I sent my building manager an email at 4AM letting her know that it happened. And I gave her my available hours - after 3pm, I tried to be generous, I just can't have that dude showing up at noon, that's just going to completely fuck up my entire week. I'll see if she even gets back to me before Monday, I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't. And honestly, I don't really feel like this constitutes an "emergency" maintenance call? So yeah, I don't mind waiting.

I just... I've been in a shitty mood because of it. Here's the fucked up part, here's how deep my guilt complex is. I'm not upset because the stupid fan is old as shit and fell apart and almost bashed me in the skull. I'm not shaken that I came pretty close to suffering what would likely have been a significant head injury. I'm not upset that it could've easily smashed my drawing tablet or my monitor. Ready for it? I've gotten this a lot before. I'm afraid that this is my fault. That I should've known better. That I somehow fucked this up and I'm the asshole and I broke something of theirs. And me being upset at them? Or upset at the situation? In the future, I would be looking back at that upset with egg on my face. It's so damn reflexive. It's just... "oh, how did I fuck this up, what did I do?"

And yeah, I mean... it's kinda my fault. I've had that fan running for 6 months straight. I've noticed it wobbling before. But like... I've never had a ceiling fan before. I don't know anything about it. Is it supposed to wobble at all? Was the stuff I read before I made the decision to keep the fan running 24/7... all bullshit? From multiple sources?

I guess it's a guilt and shame thing. In the past, I've straight up hidden stuff from my prior landlords. I made major life sacrifices (that I'm not going to get into here right now for the sake of saving time) and got to the point where my mom insisted on paying to replace utilities that I outright refused to tell my landlords were damaged. Not from use, not from misuse, but from disuse. From me not living in the house for 6 months while I detoxed off mood stabilizers and benzodiazepines in a residential retreat. I did not tell my landlords out of shame. And guilt. Because I really did not want to explain the reasoning to them. But, more so... I really didn't want to upset or disappoint or anger them. I was terrified. They controlled whether I had a roof over my head, whether my cat and dog had a roof over their heads. So yeah, it really started to strike on all the survival nerves.

I felt that again today. It completely overpowered my close call with physical injury, to the point where it didn't even register that the blade actually landed quite close to me until I just tried to eyeball the measurements a few paragraphs ago. All I felt was "oh shit, I have to talk to my landlord." Like a scared child going, "crap, I'm going to have to tell mom". And it got in deep, it paralyzed me for a few minutes honestly. I pulled up my building's portal website and got an email open and just... froze up staring at it. But I got through it, and I wrote it. I knew that I would have to do it right then and there. That the self-doubt and guilt and all these self-protective (also self-abusive) emotions would just grow and grow given time to feed. So I said "fuck what anyone thinks about an email timestamped at 4:15 AM" and I sent it anyway. And that, that is progress. I did that with no meds, no therapist on deck, no one to talk to, no one to run my email by to make sure I don't "fuck it up somehow". I wrote the email, I proofread it, I tweaked a sentence, it looked good, and then I sent it and went off to play Hades again to cool down. <gives self standing ovation>

That may seem like business as usual for some, but with the burdens I carry... doing that is literally a battle against my own nervous system. But... in a weird way? It wasn't battling that won.

I read something in that Tumblr scroll this morning. A few things, I'm sure. But a theme. The idea of peace and stillness being... the default state. I remember now, it was a Buddha quote. I'm going to absolutely mangle it, but it is definitely the core of what my therapist has been offering to me which has been helpful. And I distinctly remember pointing out when he presented it, "that's awful Buddhist of you..." XD Turns out it was like... a direct Buddha quote.

It was that thing about the stream of thoughts, your mind being like water, like a river. And thoughts and emotions, they run through it. They are not you. I mean... they are you... technically... I mean, they're part of you, they occur within you... do your thoughts come from you? Who knows. But... there's this mental place that I reach very distinctly when I smoke weed but often reach when I'm sober as well... isolation is actually a great place to come in contact with this... where you start seeing a very clear difference between you and your thoughts. That you (the Listener) are the one experiencing, listening, engaging. And your thoughts and emotions are sorta popping in and out. And for me, it's fucking constant, like a boiling pot. Buddha related this to a river, that thoughts and emotions are like water. My therapist called thoughts "leaves on a river". So... similar concepts all around.

The theme under all of this was... that peace is the default state. That peace and stillness is a general state of being that is experienced underneath... I don't know if that's the right word... maybe I should phrase it as... can be experienced at the same time as emotions and thoughts. Because those emotions and thoughts are just sorta... happening to you. I still struggle to really process it because I've been really stuck in this... "singular me" kinda mental place. Like... I am my thoughts, I am the experiencer, I am my body... all at the same time. And I guess that's kinda the trap, isn't it? Because... if you truly believe that you are singular. That you can only do one thing at a time... then how can you think a thought and also reject that thought at the same time? I mean... the simple core concept of having a subconscious or instincts (which I don't know a single fucking person who disputes) and having those as... a parallel self... that is also you... that is existing simultaneously to you... I mean, when you really look at what that concept is saying... it's saying being human... having the duality between conscious/subconscious is innately plural.

So... given that... and really just taking a beat and going. "Okay, I am... plural. I am multiple "minds" experiencing reality simultaneously." Whatever phrasing you need to get that concept to be palatable to you... It opens this door where... you have choice in how you choose to interact with your other self(selves). And the whole idea of meditation is to kinda... remind you that you can just... be, you can just exist. You do not need to engage every thought or emotion. You just observe, acknowledge, and then return to your focal point.

And that always felt to me like... denial, in a way. Like rejecting the self, rejecting thoughts and feelings. Suppressing, even. But I'm starting to think it's just... training. To train you to be able to resist the temptation of thoughts and impulses and the immersion of emotions, to be able to willfully peacefully detach from them. And the end goal, after lots and lots of training... is to be able to experience those emotions and thoughts from a place of peace. To experience everything from a place of knowing and truly believing that it is a part of life that simply... is. And to acknowledge, and to experience, but not to be... blinded... or get stuck.

And I get stuck a lot.

I get a little insecure writing about stuff like this. I don't like the idea of coming across like I've "got it all figured out". I'm exploring, and I'm exploring in isolation. I am not being taught or guided. So, I may be meandering and exploring and speculating. I'm okay with that. That's a huge part of learning. I just wanted to disclose that outwardly.

I'm getting better about self-awareness, and mindfulness, and honesty with the self and others... but this whole weed thing specifically really brings back this idea that like... okay... maybe it's better if I show than tell. If I start freaking out, why don't I just... change the channel? Why don't I just dismiss the thought as being a flashback or substance-induced paranoia? I swear, every time I run through an example script in my head on this... it just comes back to "that's avoidance" or "you're just suppressing your own fears"; it feels either unhealthy or impossible. I guess I still have a lot of work to do on this.

This is heavy stuff. But the idea that peace is a state that is always with us, it's the resting state, it's always there and you just need to go... "okay, I'm experiencing anxiety right now... but I am also observing that. And my observing self has the steering wheel right now... so... I acknowledge that emotion and the danger it's attempting to signal, and I'm going to respectfully ask it to go away." I want to be able to treat it like the timer on my phone going off, and learn how to just go "yep, I gotcha, thank you" and hit the "X" and have it leave me alone. In a self-loving way, not a "goddammit, I'm freaking out again and this sucks" or a "fuck off" kinda way.

Anywho, I've been rambling for way too long. I just found that stuff really insightful and I'm excited to engage with it further. But for now, I need to get to bed.
