‼️‼️HELP A HOMELESS ARTIST (EMERGENCY COMMS OPEN)‼️‼️

Making a new post since things are getting really bad again and we're in desperate need of help at the moment. For those who don't know me, you can call me Link (he/him), I'm a homeless artist and since November 2021 my family and I (father and younger sibling) have been homeless and living out of a motel. Since we don't have any family or friend support, or a way to get a job at the moment, I've been doing commissions to try and keep us fed and housed until something changes. I'll put some receipts below.

Ever since the rents been raised here, it's been a bit troublesome trying to cover things day by day, which we rarely can do. Even food is something that we can't afford sometimes. Right now, we're in that sort of state. So far, we haven't been able to cover the room for two days and getting food has been very difficult for us due to the lack of work. We owe 200$ for the room tomorrow (rent is 65$ a day). While the people here are nice and give us extensions with time and such, we were told if we can't pay tomorrow then we would be kicked out. We have nowhere to go if that happens, no family or friends we can stay with.

So, I'm opening commissions to try and stop that from happening. I'll put some examples and prices below. I mainly draw fantasy oriented stuff such as DnD, Dragon Age, Baldurs Gate, etc. but I can do OCS of any genre/variety. My turn around time is varied depending on the commission and our living situation since it's very unpredictable. For smaller commissions, I take around two weeks. And for bigger ones it could take up to two weeks to a month. Again that could vary. I don't do heavy gore, anything weird or NSFW (I've never drawn it so I'm not confident in selling it). Also, refunds cannot be given. If there's anything that needs to be changed about a commission, I will do it free of charge but refunds are something we can't do due to us needing to use the funds immediately. Either for food or the room.

Hiya! I hope it is okay to ask, I have a genuine question to clear up some confusion on my end- I supported you on Patreon and downloaded some of your bases. I saw your TOS says they are for personal use and adopts, but NOT for custom commissions. May I ask why they are okay for adopts but not for customs?

oh no worries! i should really update the verbiage because this seems to be a recurring item of confusion aaA ;; my apologies for the vagueness!

adoptables and custom designs are ABSOLUTELY okay!! i do not mind if people are accepting prompts / ideas from a client and then creating a new, unique design based on those specifics in exchange for money.

what I'm referring to with custom commissions is:

don't treat my bases like a YCH [your character here], as YCHs are most commonly an artist's original sketch or template that they themselves made and advertising them as a YCH could be misleading / deceptive to a potential client.

don't use these bases for your own commission work in the sense that, for example, if you've taken a commission from a client for a full body portrait of their character, don't colour in the lineart of my base and hand that to your client as if it's your own entirely original work.

similar can be said for advertising or using my bases for reference sheet commissions.

this is very broadly speaking, and there are always exceptions to the rule, but many clients go into a commission assuming the art that is being made [or will be made] is the work of the artist they're commissioning. this especially so if the commission is simply advertised as a "YCH" or "reference sheet" or "full body" or other custom item of the sort; they're going to assume you drew their character entirely from scratch. even if there's a disclosure Somewhere that the lines are mine, some clients may miss this and then file a chargeback if they felt they were lied to.

since it's commonly known that bases are used for adoptable designs, commissions for custom designs are completely fine!

and yes i'm going to review my T&C for bases soon because this question keeps coming up and I think I may have overspecified and underspecified to an extent that it's become convoluted jargon and difficult to understand. [again, my apologies!!!]

Moose Commissions

I hate to make a post like this, but here we are.

This is one of my cats, Moose. He recently has had to go to the vet a couple times because of a limp and the pads of his paws looking somewhat unusual (swollen and cracked) and bleeding. Vets say that the exact cause of the issue is unknown (either pillow foot or an autoimmune issue). He has gotten some vaccines and an injected steroid/antibiotic on top of blood draws. His blood results were ok, thankfully he didn't have feline HIV - which can be common with cases of pillow foot, but he is anemic (and has a few other problems). He is now taking pill steroids and a vitamin food additive (but with him being a picky weirdo it's difficult). We also try to rub coconut oil into his feet when he lets us to help with the dryness.

Good news is that the injections helped and he is doing better, but it cost a lot altogether. So I'm going to open up commissions for a bit to help balance out the cost.

Hello!!

I only have examples for my chibis right now, yes <:) they were my most popular option, so I decided to limit myself to those for a bit while I got used to handling business on the new system (updating carrd and taking email orders for the first time in my life)

I can take other commission styles on request (things like Icons, Customs, or Live2D rigs for example) if you're really looking something specific, but I would prefer to focus on chibis <:)

I'm also planning on restructuring some other things like my standard comms (like Busts, Half-Bodies and Full-Bodies) and my references, so until I get that figured out I unfortunately won't be able to offer them, even on special request.

So, just another snippet of Virgile/Eve fic, i really need to finish this chapter, but translation takes lot of time (i can't full write in english)

"You never asked me what's my job." He coughed several times under the glare of the other disdainful customers before catching his breath, avoiding her look. This must have made him suspicious in the eyes of the woman in front of him; he always looked like a child caught at fault when confronted with moments like this. Virgile remained silent and Evelyn resumed, resting her elbows on the table, not giving up. "Because you're not interested? Or you know and you don't want to talk about it?" More than red, he was turning crimson. His gaze was on the restaurant's décor, the sleek modern style, the chrome accents to underline the white walls where hideous gaudy pictures were hung to make it look like art … everywhere but on her. Unable to escape, trapped by his chair and his lunch, he finally took a breath, and whispered, "I already know". She didn't seem offended, quite the opposite. "Thanks to NetWatch or…?" He cut her off with a firm gesture, finally turning his gaze towards her. "I would never use my job to get information on someone. We're adults, we can… talk." He sighed, his leg trembling and his hands twisting as if he were telling a shameful secret. "Because I've been to Clouds before and met you there." He thought he'd never have this conversation, Evelyn talked little about her private life and he'd hoped she'd continue to do so without having to justify anything. His heart raced and his hand caressing the back of his neck betrayed his nervousness. For her part, she continued to smile, almost amused, then took on an air of conspiracy as she moved a little further forward. "And you're ashamed of something?" Her steady voice sought information, perhaps she was imagining what they might have done. Virgile had difficulty swallowing before answering, his gaze shifting. "I don't know," he replied. "Is it wrong to take advantage of someone's unconsciousness to get rid of problems?" "By get rid of your problems, do you mean … sex?" Virgile's face froze and he opened his eyes wide. With a sudden movement, he almost spilt his drink. "What? No! No ! " He saw her laugh as he tried to calm down. "I never wanted to… with a doll."

Hey there Anon! So sorry for the lag in the response, I wanted to be sure I could give you an in depth answer! It’s gonna be long, so I’ll put a Read More here~ if you have any questions, feel free to dm me!

Lemme start by saying, Thank you so much! You’re so sweet! 😭😭 it seriously makes my day to hear that, you don’t even know 😭🖤

Secondly, as for Remi and Levi, both characters started out as roleplay characters that @thekinkyleopard and I came up with about 10 years ago! The characters themselves have evolved over the years as we’ve done a hundred different storylines and bounced ideas off of each other. Draeko, on the other hand, was created less than 6 months ago, so he’s not as in depth of a character.

Now, I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember, and creating characters has always been something I love doing. But everyone creates an OC differently. Personally, I always start with the visualization of a new character, first.

Like for instance, for Draeko, I started with just a color pallet, (ie, pastel pink, white, pastel mint green, and pink plaid). And because I’m a furry, most of my OC’s usually have an attachment of some kind to an animal (shifters, or my Hellhound), plus I wanted more of a complex character since Remi was so plain.

I started drawing a reference sheet for him, which is pretty much a large, informational sheet with your OC in a bunch of different angles, along with key information, accessories, or whatever you want people to know about your character. Here’s some examples of reference sheets I’ve done for our OCs:

I usually start with the full body view first, coming up with details to add as I go.

(Most of my OC’s started out as fursonas, so they already had their animal form, I just would need to design a human form that matched it.)

I then come up with their personality as I’m adding details, and accessories, and naming them. And very last, I come up the details for their backstory, as well as any lore I can come up with.

HOWEVER

Everyone creates differently, and if you’re someone without much art experience or just don’t have a want to create art, OR if that just seems backwards to you,

An easy, pain free way to create your own in depth character that can just always live in your head, or one that you commission another artist to bring to life for you, they have these AMAZING character development type sheets that you can fill out, essentially making a written Reference Sheet so someone else can imagine (or bring to life) your character accurately. Here’s just a few I found in Pinterest by looking up “character development sheet”

As for how I create my art, I use an iPad and Apple Pencil, along with the program Procreate to freehand draw (or I also use bases or pose references from Pinterest!) all of my art from scratch!

Sorry if this is way longer of an answer than you were hoping for/expecting, but I wanted to cover as many points as I possibly could!

[TRANS] 15 years that was harsh for the ‘young girls’—The touching return of Girls’ Generation and KARA

Do you remember the heyday of K-pop around 2009? Have you ever had colorful skinny jeans in your closet? Do you feel like shaking your butt just by looking at the overalls? Do you get teary-eyed when you hear the intro of <Into The New World>? Whenever things don't go well, do you say "You think I did it for myself? for myself?" and want to stamp your feet?

If so, 2022 will be considered more special than ever. This is because Girls' Generation and KARA, who celebrated their 15th anniversary this year, made a comeback, marking a milestone in the history of girl groups.

On August 5, 2022, Girls' Generation made a full team comeback after 5 years. SM Entertainment's girl group Girls' Generation made their debut on August 5, 2007. At that time, it was a multi-member group that felt unfamiliar, but then the group can be said as the origin of expressions such as the ‘flower bouquet effect’ or ‘a pretty girl next to a pretty girl’. Girls' Generation, who debuted with <Into The New World>, has since gained explosive popularity and has topped the league as national girl group. Girls’ Generation, who led the golden age of girl groups along with Wonder Girls and KARA, expanded the scope of their fandom, and around this time, the phrase of ‘uncle fan’ and ‘aunt fan’ were born.

Girls' Generation has always been at the top, but when the members reached their mid-twenties, ridiculous articles saying, "they are not a girl anymore" began to appear. K-pop is an industry where young age is the capital, and girl groups in particular have stricter standards. In many cases, group activities cannot continue beyond the maximum of 7 years, which is the standard established in accordance to the Fair Trade Commission's standard contract. Girls' Generation's group activities were also unclear for a long time as some members moved to other agencies and focused on individual activities.

The members then continued their activities without letting go of their identity as Girls' Generation and made a comeback in celebration of their 15th anniversary, rewriting the history of the longest running active girl group. With their skilled performances and unwavering support from fans, they proved that simply being young is not the competitive edge of a female performing artist.

The girl group, which is loved passionately, was also hated just as fiercely. Collective attacks on 'young and pretty' women have been persistent (of course, that doesn’t mean that it is lesser than it used to be now). Women's contempt and ridicule were as severe as men's violent sexual objectification and rude consumption of the media.

The act of labeling a member as ‘a fox that pretends to be a bear that pretends to be a fox’ and labeling them with the name ‘XX woman’, or thoroughly analyzing and ‘stripping off’ their faces, bodies, makeups, etc., was a popular act within the female community. The ‘ten minute incident’, in which the boy group’s fandom turned off their lightstick during Girls’ Generation’s performance at the ‘Dream Concert’, is a representative example of ‘boy group fans bullying girl groups’, a long-standing genealogy. No matter how thrilled I am to see Girls' Generation's comeback, I cannot erase this obvious fact as if it never happened.

Among the occasions when feelings toward Girls’ Generation reached a new phase, the 2015 feminism reboot and the 2016 Ewha Womans University campus protest cannot be left out. The scene was widely talked about as a symbol of the sensitivity and political personality of a new generation, as the students who were confronting the police at the time sang <Into The New World> together to overcome their fears. It became an opportunity to reinterpret Girls' Generation group and songs in a feminist way. For a long time, girl groups have been regarded as passive entities that reproduce and practice the image of women demanded or idealized by society.

There was a deep-rooted perception that had a detrimental effect on women, like sayings of, “You should be like this,” and that women were treated as an object dedicated to men as “things to see.” However, as Girls' Generation has been active for a long time, accumulated years of experience, and each of their ability value met with dignity and experience in the industry to exert synergy, their identity and capabilities have been re-evaluated. In addition, through the popularization of feminism, the public realized how closely the misogyny or attacks suffered by girl groups were closely related to real misogyny, so they began to sympathize with the grievances and struggles of those involved.

One of the remarkable phenomena in Girls' Generation and KARA's comeback is the change in perception of girl groups. They are being accepted as independent performing arts and culture experts, not just as a group of girls who are ‘simply pretty and young’ (in fact, we don't know why this is even considered something worth criticizing). They focus on individual members' ability and teamwork, and they also enjoy the sense of change they feel as a great senior in the industry. This atmosphere is largely credited to the SBS web entertainment <MMTG> hosted by Jae-jae, who also known as the ‘half-celebrity’. Jaejae and the <MMTG> team recognized the professional characteristics of idols which were somehow always bound to seen as ‘B-ranked’, and reflected the critical mind and self-reflection derived from it in the programs they produced. The fact that Jaejae is a fan of Girls’ Generation is quite symbolic. The experience of loving someone passionately is also to consider other beings in the same situation and expand the possibility of making better choices.

Girls' Generation and KARA are groups that project the ideals desired for young women by combining patriarchal desires and company's spirits. At the same time, their achievements are also the result of the female members' ability, effort, collaboration, and fans' support. Their existence is multi-layered and three-dimensional like that. Girls’ Generation Sunny posted “KARA is the best!” on her Instagram when KARA made a comeback, expressing her affection, saying, “So pretty, cool, shiny.. It's nice to see you. I respect you, admire you, thank you. I missed you.” In the narrative of the activities of the two groups that have passed through a difficult time, there are touching and bitter things that cannot be expressed in words.

Hopefully, Girls' Generation, KARA, and many other female performing artists will continue to promote safely and happily for a long time. May the harsh world be a little kinder to them, may we learn enough to love shiny women tenderly, may no woman stumble upon unjust accusations.

Description:

As he ran, mist kissed his arms and face, leaving goosebumps all up his body. Nylon flapped against his shins and each new pace sent a shockwave of energy up his legs. Haggard breaths had his lungs feeling like a swing set and a dizziness tinged his every move.

Fog rolled in from the distance, the moonlight overhead was the only thing to disrupt the nautical twilight that submerged his surroundings. Without stopping, all he really saw were blurs and shadows streaking across his peripheral.

His footsteps made loud thuds and rustled the fallen leaves. Around him, the forest was anything but quiet. Loud chirping and croaking and hooting could be heard all around him, everything pulsing that little bit of life into his veins.

The deep blues of the forest should have been calming, the cold air running down his throat should have made him feel exhilarated. Instead, bile pooled in his stomach and his throat had begun to ache and his eyes to sting.

Dialogue #1:

"I saw the stuff he did to you, too…" they admitted, glancing sideways at him to check for signs of anger. "It looked like it hurt… I'd broken toys before—Uh, real toys not people— but I'd never been that mean about it so watching him do all that kinda scared me…"

Dialogue #2:

Eventually, Hunter found his voice again. "Please don't blame yourself for what Belos did to you," he was speaking as much to the Collector as he was to himself. "It wasn't your fault, it was never your fault and what we have now is good so I forgive you."

He paused again to think about things. "You know that I'm real now and you're nice to me and that's all that matters now that Belos is dead."

Dialogue #3:

“Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.” She came and sat down next to him, stretching her pajama-clad legs into the grass and wiggling her toes absentmindedly. “I dunno anymore either…”

She took a deep, quiet breath, and then let it out again, hugging her knees to mirror him and get comfortable. “So, why’d you come out here?”

A screenshot example is given of a page to send a digital e-card on amazon over email.

They were released exclusively to patrons, then after three months were listed in the Tamberlane Shop for public sale between $3-5. While we love Tales from Treehollow as a great way to share more stories from the universe, they are unfortunately VERY expensive to produce and garner little interest, even from Patrons. For my number nerds out there, check out this Patreon newsletter for a detailed breakdown of what all goes into creating just one of these publications.

Does that mean we won’t have the occasional one-off story? Heck no! It just means they will now be created on an occasional basis depending on workloads and budget instead of monthly.

Character Cameos in the Comic

For a long while, we were offering patrons the ability to have their personal characters appear in the comic and, in some cases, become recurring characters. While this worked great for a while, we’ve run into the issue of far too many cameos we still need to catch up on. We will be fulfilling all outstanding cameo requests to the best of our ability while still putting the integrity of the story first, but going forward cameo opportunities will no longer be a Patreon perk. Instead, when we have cameo needs they will be available for purchase.

Commissions

Originally, $50+ reward commissions were quarterly full-body sketches. For the new system, these will be changed to sketched busts, drawn every two months. These are significantly easier for me to draw, and there are a lot of them. This will make it easier to keep up while drawing the comic, and will mean that $50+ members will get twice as many commissions as before!

In line with this, $100+ members will be able to have their busts drawn with flat color as opposed to sketched, also on the every-other-month schedule instead of quarterly!

‼️HELP A HOMELESS ARTIST - URGENT‼️

Making a new commission post since we're in desperate need of help currently. We were only able to pay half of what we needed yesterday, so now we owe the normal 55$ rent today plus the 30$ we couldn't pay yesterday. We also couldn't get any food yesterday and we have no food here, so I'm hoping to get something for that as well if we can.

My name is Link and I've been homeless for about two years now (since November 2021). Due to my dad falling into a diabetic coma around that time leaving both him and my sibling homeless without their truck, and myself having to move out from my friend's house due to their grandmother falling severely ill at the time, we were all left without a home. We don't have any family help (tried reaching out as soon as it happened and both sides of the family just weren't willing to help with either shelter/food/financially and otherwise) or anyone else to really rely on. My friend drove us all to a motel where I started up commissions and have been trying my best to keep up what we need for food and rent ever since neither of us could get jobs (we all don't have our IDs/documents, a car or the money to go and actually try getting that stuff) and we also can't get benefits from things like food stamps. We would've been able to at least try from low income housing if we had them, but that's the main thing that's stopped us from getting out of this situation or at least getting closer to finding real stability again. This is and has been our only source of income for a while.

Right now, things haven't been looking great. We almost got kicked out last week, and if the man at the office wasn't kind, we wouldn't have had anywhere to go. Most days we go without food since the room is the utmost priority, and we can barely pay that. Business has been very scarce, so I'm hoping by making a new post that I can get some more help somehow.

I'll put my commission examples, prices and business email below if anyone is interested in helping. If you can't, no worries, I completely understand. Reblogs also helps in hopefully bringing us new work opportunities, so it'd really mean a lot. Thank you so so much in advance.

Commission Prices 2023 (and FAQ)

It's that time: I'm open for commissions! Got questions on the general process? Please see last year's FAQ. Questions on the changes? Please see below:

Why the price increase? Mostly because of inflation, but some I raised because I had severely underestimated how long it took to make (for instance, shading now takes me about as long as coloring and the linework combined; the previous price sheet assumed it took as long as just coloring. This wasn’t because I was “bad” at coloring and “good” at shading, I just hadn’t done a lot of shaded pieces to get a good grasp on the time it took)

How can I know which were raised for inflation and which were raised for “difficulty”? As a rule of thumb, if I raised it by $5, it was because of inflation; if I raised it by more, it’s because I’d underestimated it

Why $5? In 2017 I set my prices as 5,10,15, etc. and it felt fair at the time, but there’s been quite a bit of inflation since 2017.

So why does black and white still cost $5? I am committed to keeping a $5 option for people that can’t afford more. As with the refsheets, I know that art is a gateway to wider participation in the fandom so I strongly believe in having an affordable option.

So why does lineless only cost marginally more than the lined equivalent? Most artists charge, like, double! Because I happen to like doing it.

It says prices are per “full body” character, that’s new. Yes. After the “dollar menu” experiment, I’m more willing to not draw the full character (which, as I’ve mentioned, requires me short-circuiting my own brain that “needs” to see “the rest of it”) and lower the price accordingly. This is also why I’ve set my comic pricing as “per panel”: you rarely have the whole character in-panel in a comic so that offsets the extra stuff that the panel needs.

Wait, that said “per prop” last year! Why the change? Same reasoning: I’ve decided not to charge for props. This means the total price people will pay won’t go up as much.

What counts as a complex marking? That’s also new. As with refsheets, a character with more than 3 spots or stripes per limb or more than 6 spots/stripes total (not counting tail for either).

Those numbers sound kind of arbitrary... They’re based on practice, and I arrived at them by studying several established character designs so I know they’re fair.

My character doesn’t have spots or stripes, he has markings shaped like [insert symbol here]! A marking in the shape of a “y” counts as two stripes. A marking in the shape of an “H” counts as three. Curves (up until a J-shape) are treated as stripes. C-shapes, circles and dots are counted as spots.

As a practical example, suppose you have a giant heart shape on your back—that counts as three spots (and your back as a limb) so you’re good. If that heart has a line through it, now you have 4 (3 spots and a stripe) so it counts as complex.

My character has those, but I can’t afford the complexity charge... I’m sure we can figure out a way to clothe them so that only a manageable amount of markings is showing.

I heard you charged someone complexity for clothes though? Yes, if your clothes are covered in spots/stripes/etc, it will take me longer to draw it!

You weren’t charging for this last year! Why the change? I noticed I was unable to predict the time it would take me to draw a character when this happened (kind of necessary to be able to do when you’re squeezing drawing time in between your job) and this is definitely a factor.

Just quit your job! No.

This is all ridiculous, just use a pattern fill! Although I respect newspaper comic tropes, that is not the kind of work I offer.

This is only valid for 2024, how much are prices going to rise next year?! They probably won’t: by my math, these prices should still work with the inflation expected for next year. However, I’m not quite convinced of the effort valuation for the more expensive options (lineless may prove either easier or harder than I’m anticipating, but I won’t know until I’ve done more of them!) so I want to leave the door open to adjust prices again in a year.

…How does the discount option work? Find a piece in my gallery and tell me you want “this but with _____.” If I can reuse part of the drawing, I won’t charge you for that part. I keep the raw files for all my drawings so I’m very likely to find something I can reuse.

what's the difference between what wanda did to those people in wandavision and what tony did with ultron?

I have so many asks about this. Hate asks, and people wondering what’s going on. This is the only one I’m answering.

Both of them are responsible for their actions. I’ve seen people try and take away either Tony’s responsibility for that or Wanda’s engagement and accountability.

In Tony’s case, the Ultron program was supposed to be a global peacekeeping program to protect the people, acting as a suit around the world to prevent events like the Battle of New York. He was doing it in the name of peace and safety. Tony was rightfully scared because he was the only one who knew what was coming. Wanda intentionally enhanced that fear in him and this drove him to create Ultron with Bruce. He has responsibility for it. Same as Bruce. He owns up to this, he took full responsibility and agreed that they needed to be regulated.

Tony Stark: A few years ago, I almost lost her, so I trashed all my suits. Then, we had to mop up HYDRA... and then Ultron. My fault.

Tony Stark: There's no decision-making process here. We need to be put in check! Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we can't accept limitations, if we're boundary-less, we're no better than the bad guys.

Tony Stark: That's good. That's why I'm here. When I realized what my weapons were capable of in the wrong hands, I shut it down and stop manufacturing.

If people think he needs to be in jail for it, then I’m guessing the rest of the Avengers too since all of them have made mistakes and killed people too. As a matter of fact, after the events of Wandavision, I’m sure that Wanda should be in the Raft, but because she’s ‘a poor baby’ yall won’t think she deserves that.

SPOILERS

It’s a big possibility that we don’t have all the info about what happened in Wandavision but we’re going to go with what we know so far.

In Wanda’s case, she did it to appease her grief and pain, and I can understand why she would get to that point, she’s been through a lot and maybe she was about to lose her mind. Instead of recruiting Wanda after the Sokovia incident, they should’ve given this girl treatment for her mental health problems. She just lost her brother and passed through a very traumatic war zone, of course she needs assistance. Cap and Natasha were the ones responsible for her because they were training the ‘new’ avengers. Sam was with them and he used to be a counselor to veterans with PTSD. He could’ve helped Wanda with some of her traumas. As shown in the series, Wanda did the whole hex business before meeting Agatha, which means creating that little reality was all Wanda’s responsibility. Hayward and Agatha did exactly what Wanda did to Tony (and the avengers/other people) in AOU. They manipulated her and played with her emotional traumas. Hayward showed her Vision’s body parts and Agatha started to pull strings to know how Wanda did what she did and her real powers while orchestrating against her.

Both of them have made mistakes. No one is better than the other. I don’t understand why some fans want to make someone responsible more than the other or blame one character for the other. While Wanda gave Tony that vision and pushed his self-destructive side to obsess over saving the world, he did create Ultron, what Tony didn’t predict was that the robot was going to corrupt itself. Same with Wanda, while Agatha and Hayward contributed to her trauma, she held hostage and isolated 3,892 people to create her perfect reality, ripping these people away from their identities and free will to fit her own fantasy. Don’t turn this into ‘omg poor her, it’s Tony fault that she’s this way'. I can’t believe I have to repeat this but you don’t see Peter Parker obsessively looking for the person who manufactured the gun instead of the criminal who actually killed Uncle Ben. Ridiculous that I have to repeat this example.

Oh and about Vision’s body (damn yall have a gift to turn everything into Tony’s fault for some reason). I can’t believe some of you think Tony (while grieving for 5 years) would give Vision to Hayward. You’re either pulling stuff out of your asses or you didn’t pay attention to the show. Maria Rambeau founded and was the Director of S.W.O.R.D. In 2018 (when IW happened), this is where she came up with a new policy within S.W.O.R.D. to ground snapped agents in case they ever returned. Maria was diagnosed with cancer, then two years later (2020), she passed away. Then, Hayward was promoted to Director of S.W.O.R.D., in his first years (2020-2022) he refocused the organization’s work from extraterrestrial operations to robotics, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, etc. There, that was the 5 years. Then in 2023 it’s when he started project Cataract, which revolved around rebuilding Vision as a sentient weapon. Tony was dead when this happened. How come yall don’t get this part? I don’t understand, do you really think his dead corpse signed some papers to give Vision to those people? LMAO

Instead of thinking Tony would give up Vision just like that, think (possibilities):

Maria was the head of S.W.O.R.D., she might have just been keeping his body safe without doing anything with him. Maybe she trusted Hayward and he, obviously, betrayed her because he’s turning her organization into something else after her death.

One of the Sokovia Accords regulations states that the use of technology to bestow individuals (the term ‘enhanced individual’ in this book is defined as any person, human or otherwise, with superhuman capabilities) with innate capabilities is strictly regulated by the government, as is the use and distribution of highly advanced technology. Vision signed those accords ('I'm saying there may be a casualty. Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict... breeds catastrophe. Oversight...oversight is not an idea that can be dismissed out of hand’) The Avengers were no longer be a private organization and they operate under the supervision of the United Nations. This means they (UN) were the ones that referred Vision’s body to S.W.O.R.D., to a trustworthy leader, Maria.

Vision died in Wakanda, not in New York. Tony was missing for 22 days after the snap, the rest of the avengers should’ve taken responsibility for his body.

Why is it always Tony’s fault but never consider that other parties are also involved in this?

I want to address some other asks with this one. I know some of you are angry because people are starting to blame Tony all over again, so a few things to remember:

Tony did not create the Accords. The Accords were the result of all the collective actions the Avengers have done in their superhero careers. All of them have made mistakes and the collateral damage of that was taken into consideration by the government and 117 countries around the world. He signed the accords because he knew that he could amend them with the support of the rest of the avengers and he knew about Thanos (something big was coming).

Obadiah Stane (it’s so bizarre for me seeing that some people don’t know who this guy is, I’m guessing that the people who are watching Wandavision are too young to remember or didn’t watch the Iron Man movies at all which is highly probable) was the one selling weapons to the wrong people, not Tony. Obadiah was the CEO of Stark industries and became second-in-command for two decades. He grew jealous of Tony and began cooperating with the Ten Rings in Afghanistan, selling them Stark Industries weapons illegally. Imagine blaming all of it on Tony when Obadiah basically murdered thousands only because he felt a little green. If someone who you trust (he had no reasons to doubt Obadiah since he was like a second father-figure for him) does something behind your back (take into consideration that people like Pepper; who was Tony’s assistant and had knowledge of all of Tony’s activities and responsibilities, Rhodey; who was the liaison between the military in the department of acquisitions and Stark Industries, and Happy Hogan; who was his personal bodyguard and Head of Security of Stark Industries, didn’t know what Stane was doing either), how are you going to know about it? Tony trusted him. And when he realized what was going on he immediately stopped all of it. He worked hard to be better and people overlook that because they want other characters to look better.

Don’t act like Tony was the only one assisting the military. All of the avengers assisted in one way or another. Natasha (who used to be an assassin) was in the Red Room, trained in the Black Widow Program in association with Leviathan and the Soviet Armed Forces, served for KGB, etc. Bruce Banner used to work for the United States government and was commissioned to create a super serum for them. Same goes with the rest, Sam, Clint, etc. Steve Rogers was a soldier lmaoooooooooooooo like, what happened to Tony with Obadiah happened to Steve with SHIELD/HYDRA in TWS. He trusted the people working in there (SHIELD), served for them, did missions for them and as soon as he found out what they were doing behind his back he turned against them.

Knowing all of this, how is Tony always the villain for yall? I’m guessing because Tony’s popularity in the MCU, but still, aren’t yall tired of not understanding the plot and having people repeat it to you constantly? Watch the movies if you want to understand the franchise, people. Stop following the crowd.

Also, Wanda is not a kid, she’s a 35 year old woman in Wandavision, she was 26 in AOU and 27 in CW. Hardly a child. Tony had almost her same age (38) when he realized Obadiah was selling illegal weaponry behind his back. The only reason people don’t fully forgive Tony is because 1. he’s a man and 2. he’s a billionaire. Even if Wanda was poor she still killed and hurt many people over the course of her life. Stop trying to make Tony the villain only to downplay Wanda’s actions.

Both have killed people, both have made mistakes. They’re both responsible for them.
