tuggofelees for the ships ask!
Ship it!!
What made you ship it?
A few different things. Firstly, since they’re such a big ship I was introduced to them very early when I first got into Cats, which sort of just put them on my radar. But then there’s also the fact that the both look and act like opposites, and “opposites attract” have always been my favorite shipping trope lol, they look aesthetically pleasing next to each other, and then there’s the whole thing with Tugger singing Misto’s song. They feel like two ends of a spectrum that somehow both balance each other out and make them more themselves, I guess? Then there’s the whole thing of Misto being my favorite character so I’m more likely to focus on relationships involving him
But yeah it’s mostly the “opposites attract” thing
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Like I said before, opposites attract, but also how I like to imagine they support each other. Mistoffelees is sure in his ability to dance and do magic, but is insecure when it comes to interacting with others and putting himself out there, to which Tugger responds by being unendingly supportive and encouraging. Tugger, in turn, hides a lot of himself, both good and bad, behind a persona that, while he feels like it protects him actually hurts him and others in the long run. Misto isn’t charmed by his persona, and slowly the real Tugger dares to come out. His more true self is still confident, still in everyone’s face without shame and still thrives on attention, but he also talks to his brother with genuine kindness, and lets himself actually connect with people without an invisible wall in between.
While there are a lot of other aspects of how I interpret their relationship I really love (like how they make each other laugh and really understand each other through healthy and fluid communication) fundamentally it comes down to the fact that they’re good for each other. They don’t magically “fix” each other’s flaws, but they give each other the motivation to improve themselves.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I tend to lean towards polyamory in the Cats universe for a lot of ships (both for CATS as cats and Human AUs) but especially for the two of them, which there is certainly some of here and there, but far from common

I need to say this again but I love how TBB didn’t take the cheap route when it comes to Tech and Wrecker’s bickering.
They don’t argue because Tech is stuck up and think Wrecker is stupid, or because Wrecker thinks Tech is full of himself and weak. They argue because they’re brothers and the like pushing each other’s buttons. Finally a fucking good dynamic between the smart character and the muscle character.
Their arguments have the energy of “im not touching you I’m not touching you I’m not touching you-” or other siblings stuff. There’s none of that “you’re a stupid meat head” or “you’re cold and unfeeling”. Their arguments still stem from them being polar opposites, but it’s not cheap.

i watched insidious: the red door again with my sister, and it grew on me the second time around despite not knowing how to feel abt it initially.
At first i found the story was underdeveloped (and despite my opinions on the movie changing, i honestly still do feel this way lowkey ghgh) but like. i see exactly what they were trying to do, y’now???
i’ve always rlly enjoyed the insidious franchise, not necessarily because i found it scary, but because the concept of the further was absolutely FASCINATING to me. especially because it’s a place that’s like. an endless limbo that’s reminiscent of liminal horror (and i’m a sucker for that shit)
I rlly liked that they brought in more emotional depth & complexity for the lamberts and how they explore more of how the events of insidious: chapter 2 ultimately affected their family and each individual character.
I immensely enjoyed that they wanted to explore themes of generational trauma and repressed trauma, and how sweeping said trauma under the rug rather than trying to heal and resolve it at its root causes it to fester and ultimately harm everyone involved.
i like how they acknowledged how extremely traumatizing it must have been for renai and the kids to see parker crane josh trying to violently DESTROY them. like there ain’t no way that’s NOT going to have devastating effects on your psyche/marriage when you see what you think is your deranged looking father/husband, trying to beat y’all to death with hammers 😭😭 like i can’t imagine how that must have looked for the kids and i’m glad they explored that
i also really like how (at least in my opinion), the red faced demon and his lair is also kinda symbolic of dalton’s repressed & festering mental illness/trauma with how OBSESSED the demon is with dalton. and how he set up all those “scenes” of dalton’s past which makes him just. remember everything (and that made me feel SAUR BAD for him bc recalling that much repressed trauma would be overwhelming as fuck)
that said, i really feel like they could have executed these themes a lot better, in a way that would make a little bit more sense. during the scene with dalton and josh near the end where they’re in the further trying to close the door, dalton states that they have to stop running from the demon. and there i thought dalton and josh were going to slay the demon together once and for all, but dalton just paints over the door leaving josh in the further by himself and i was like ??????????? 😭😭😭😭 hello???
like. aside from it being a bit anticlimactic, i also don’t think it made very much sense of dalton to just paint over the door when he said they couldn’t run/ignore it anymore. i suppose in a sense, dalton painting over the door in of itself symbolizes that he is trying to break the cycle himself, but honestly? it would have made more sense imo if they somehow tried to relinquish the red face demon together, bc to me that would show that dalton and josh are finally trying to resolve their trauma together by tackling it head on, thus competing their arc more effectively.
i wish they could have introduced josh’s father a bit differently—i know the existence of josh’s dad probably wasnt planned from the beginning, so adding him in was going to be a bit clunky no matter what, but i had a hard time feeling anything at all for him as a character…..
i also wish elise had a bigger role in this rather than making a 5 second cameo at the end of the movie just for the the sake of it, especially since she is what makes insidious such an interesting franchise. but i am SO glad we got a specs and tucker cameo i genuinely teared up seeing them :,)
ANYWAY, overall, i’m quite pleased w the movie, even if certain aspects of it could have been executed better. it definitely isn’t THE BEST insidious movie. i think it had a lot of potential to be excellent. i have WAYY more thoughts abt it that i dont think i can convey in a single post but maybe i’ll talk abt them another time
also. dalton and chris my beloveds 🫰🏼🫰🏼

God nothing hits like early bleach, the substitute shinigami arc and rukia’s execution arc are just. Ugh. Something about the crunchy-ass early 2000s-ness of it that the rest of the series lost (not just animation wise but aesthetic wise), when there was still hope that all the potential would be capitalized on, idk, it was just fun and getting to fall in love with all the characters because pretty much every single one introduced was great and engaging. I just really really wish the series had kept that early vibe that it started losing once the visoreds were introduced, they got the last little tail end of it. As soon as we got to the heuco mundo arc this all vanished and it’s so upsetting, the series just lost a lot of its personality, if that makes sense, I wish it had kept it so badly
#like they’re all the same characters but they all started taking themselves way too seriously after that point#and I do get that that’s when the Big Plot actually started picking up (which is a whole other thing I have thoughts on)#but like… idk the series just lost a lot of its early charm and appeal#which is funny considering the hueco mundo arc is actually my favorite one#but idk I’m watching the first arc for fun today#and I forgot how much of ASSHOLES rukia and ichigo were and how fun their dynamic was#and yeah I fucking miss it it’s just not the same the rest of the series#not to mention tatsuki actually got a lot of focus#even Chad and Orihime and uryu felt a lot more genuine than they did the rest of the series#(though that’s because it was before they were reduce to being Ichigo’s love interest and then cannon fodder to shittily power scale enemies#by getting the shit beat out of them because kubo didn’t know how else to do it)#idk like I said! I just wish the series had stuck a lot better to its earlier aesthetic#like it still could have worked with the more ‘serious’ plot lines v easily considering how well it meshed with rukia’s execution#I JUST MISS RUKIA YELLING AT FLIP PHONES AND ICHIGO BEING BAD AT SNEAKING OUT WINDOWS AND TATSUKI RAGGING ON THEM#AND THEIR NORMAL ASS CLASSMATES TALKING ABOUT HOW FUCKING WEIRD THEY ALL WERE LIKE IT WAS SO GOOD 😩😩😩#imagine that energy being applied to the hueco mundo arc it would have been great#it even would have been fun to see it come back during the fullbringer arc as a bunch of fun callbacks to the early bleach that was#being alluded to that entire arc with parallels#anyways once again weeping the potential this series had#someone watch it so we can talk about it and set up our own insanely convoluted canon for funsies on discord or something lmfao#kaz rambles

How do you think Lily would perceive James and Sirius relationship and as a result feel/understand/be affected by it?
oooh hello anon 💜 this is a great question and i have two answers for u.
canonically, we know that lily and sirius had a great relationship. all the j&s codependency/attachment/closeness that we know from the text, she clearly accepted and didn’t mind based of how warmly she talked to Sirius’ in the letter (also, asking him to come over because james has been getting antsy? that’s so interesting because she’s (sub)consciously acknowledging sirius’ ability to handle james, perhaps when even she couldn’t) and we don’t see any antagonism b/w them in hogwarts the way we do in jily, yeah? so even if there was something there, she’d clearly dealt with it by the time they get married. (also i love characterisations where lily doesn’t just accept but actively encourages their bond—stuff like having an extra room for sirius, assuming he’ll be best man & godfather w/o james having to bring it up, making jokes about ‘my husband’s boyfriend’ etc—it’s just so precious and i love that for her and james, because she also gets a close friend out of the deal, it’s not just her adjusting for james ykno?)
but. that being said. i’m a little bitch and i love introducing conflict where there isn’t any for the sake of my favs lol
so my personal opinion/hc is that i love seeing envious lily who’s struggling with how close james & sirius are. realistically, it’s not easy to be with someone who so clearly has another number one, right? you’d always feel like you’re playing second fiddle, even if james has enough love and more for all of them and doesn’t actively try to compare the two. and in the beginning of their relationship, she might also feel insecure about how important sirius is to james. i mentioned this in another ask, but i think (before james falls in love with lily) if sirius had genuinely told james that he didn’t approve of lily, then he’d actually listen to that. and lily’s seen this influence sirius has, and that worries her, especially when she can see he doesn’t approve of her yet.
(i also, low-key, think scorpio-poster-child sirius would be extremely possessive of james until lily wins him over which is when he’ll shift into loyalty-unto-death mode. before that, tho, he’ll be like ‘you treated him like shit all this while and now you expect me to just accept you’re not gonna hurt him? try harder’ and his disdain is obvious to everyone except james. that feeds into lily’s discomfort.)
there’s also another aspect here, and that is lily feeling jealous of the platonic ‘like brothers’ bond between j&s irrespective of her position in their lives. i mean it’s possible everyone would, but lily specifically because her own relationship with petunia is deteriorating, her friendship with snape is basically down the drain, and there’s these two who’re so devoted, so attached to each other and it’s like,,,, ‘i wish i had someone like that too’ ykno?
ultimately though, even with all that, i don’t think jily would have worked unless sirius worked to put his disapproval behind him and lily stopped feeling threatened and accepted their bond. both of them realise the other’s here to stay and they’ve gotta make it work because their favorite person—james—would be hurt otherwise and that’s unacceptable.

Why I Love Hanamusa
I get this question very frequently but have never given a really in depth, definitive answer. All just kinda implied through my comics and spread out asks. So here's this I guess! Long post ahead:
Tumblr media
First, as a Pokémon fan in her mid 20s, I love seeing a ship where the characters are both in their mid/late 20s. Already, they’re much more relatable to me and my current experiences. Most Pokémon ships are between preteens, which can be cute but ultimately don’t interest me as much as they used to when I was a kid myself. Not enough to get super invested in and draw a lot of fanart for anyways haha.
I’ll also start by saying that canon doesn’t always influence whether or not I’ll ship something. I’m much more drawn to potential. Could the characters work together? Do their personalities work together in a nice way? I feel like this so much of fanon is anyways. Especially with queer relationships because they’re rarely depicted in the first place. A lot of the context for these ships is usually up to the fans to piece together or make up in general. And that’s the fun part to me!
Jessie and Delia have only met in the anime a handful of times. Any interaction they’ve had has either been pleasant, or just a typical Team Rocket interaction, with Delia dismissing them/not seeing them as a threat. Already a great jumping off point for me since, truly, they don’t have any actual beef or true, ill feelings towards each other. It’s not TOO out of the realm of possibility for them to potentially fall for each other. “But Jessie chased Delia’s son around trying to steal his Pokémon!” That’s where that dismissive and aloof attitude that Delia has comes into play. I’ll go more into Delia’s whole deal a bit later but I do think this aspect of her personality is a large reason why this ship can work. It’s not that she doesn’t care that Jessie has a bad past, but she can tell that, on the inside, Jessie’s a good person. And, in a scenario where Jessie is trying to become a better person, is forgiving enough to give her a shot. I feel like this is such a solid foundation for a ship. A character who has done wrong but is trying to be better and another character who is willing to help them be better. A classic dynamic!
It’s not just one-sided though; where Jessie is the only one benefitting and learning from the relationship. I believe Delia could get a lot out of being with someone like Jessie. To understand why, I think it’s important to know these characters’ respective backstories.
Jessie is an orphan/foster child who grew up in poverty. Her mother Miyamoto (from The Birth of Mewtwo) was a Team Rocket operative herself, who went on a mission to find Mew. In order to do this, she had to leave Jessie when she was just a toddler. Unfortunately, Miyamoto went MIA on her mission leaving Jessie to more or less fend for herself. Jessie went through life with zero stability, evident by her MANY different careers and constant moving around. It’s implied in the show that she went from foster home to foster home, and later in life tried being an idol, weather girl, florist, wine connoisseur, actress, most notably a nurse and finally a Team Rocket field agent. And even while in Team Rocket, she, James and Meowth were always doing odd jobs to get by. We see that Jessie used to be a sweet kid, and even adult, but the world and her circumstances repeatedly did her dirty, leading her to become the character we know today. Hot tempered, mean, selfish, etc. But despite this, her soft side does still shine through for the people and Pokémon she cares about. She is incredibly loyal.
Delia, unbeknownst to a lot of fans, also had a rough past (see Pocket Monsters: The Animation). Like Jessie, she had a lot of dreams and aspirations like wanting to be a model and even a trainer. But when she was 10, her mother didn’t let her, telling her that she had to stay home and learn to run the family restaurant (she’s an only child). Delia’s father left her and her mother to be a trainer, and never returned. When she was 18, she married Ash’s father and became pregnant shortly after. But right after Ash was born, he also set off to be a Pokémon trainer. And soon after that, her mother passed away, leaving Delia with just the restaurant and baby Ash. This gives so much context to Delia’s attitude in the show. We see that Delia is pained whenever Ash leaves on a journey, but she never shows that pain to anyone. ESPECIALLY Ash. She’s very quick to shoo him off when he shows any sign of wanting to go on another journey and even when he returns home, she acts more excited to see Pikachu than him almost every time. Without all this backstory, it’s easy to just read this as a funny gag, BUT with context, I think it really shows how quickly Delia shuts down and detaches in order to not confront her own feelings. She’s afraid of losing people and getting hurt again.
All that said, I think Jessie and Delia provide each other with EXACTLY what the other needs.
Aside from becoming rich and famous, Jessie’s biggest aspiration is to get married. In my opinion, this is more so an underlying want for love and stability. There is no one more stable in the show than Delia. Delia’s lived in Pallet her whole life, she’s worked at the same restaurant since she was young and she is always there when Ash comes back home. She has all the love, patience and stability Jessie needs and craves. While forgiving, Delia’s not stupid and can keep Jessie in check. Delia’s also just an angel, which I feel, would make Jessie want to be better. And on top of all this, on more of a surface level, Delia’s a chef and excellent cook. She shows love through cooking and Jessie, who grew up poor, regularly starving and eating snow, happily receives that love. Jessie’s able to live a happy and healthy life with someone like Delia.
Delia, as stated, is very stable. Likely pretty monotonous and solitary, especially living in such a small town like Pallet. This isn’t a bad thing but it’s a little sad when you consider that Delia also had dreams of traveling, being a model and a trainer. She had to give up so many dreams in order to fulfill her duties as a restaurant owner and mother. And even now, when Ash is off on his journey, she feels the need to always be home and be that stable pillar, leaving behind any ambitions she had, thinking it’s too late for her (she’s only 29 btw). But then along comes Jessie, dangerous, passionate, an absolute firecracker. Someone who’s whole life has been about chasing dreams and either, never giving up on them or finding a new dream to chase. Upon learning about Delia’s past aspirations, I could see Jessie pushing her towards them, letting her know that life’s too short and she has nothing to lose from trying. On top of this, Jessie’s also loyal. She, James and Meowth are depicted as doing anything for anyone who gives them food or shows them kindness. Delia does both so there’s no way Jessie would leave her. This fulfills an essential need for Delia, who is afraid of the people in her life leaving her.
There’s so much potential for mutual growth and learning between these two and I adore that. They compliment each other, they help each other and they bring out the best qualities in one another.
I’m not really sure how to end this and I could truly talk about them even more but I don’t want this to be tooooo long haha. OH I could end it with maybe the most funny aspect of this ship that I've brushed over and also what drew me to it in the first place. Jessie. As Ash’s stepmom. THE END.

I know I’ve mentioned this plenty of times before but I’m still kind of annoyed by how the fanbase just kind of completely declawed the four lords and placed the entirety of the responsibility for their wrongdoings on Mother Miranda.
The Baker family are great, I love them, they’re an incredible unit of antagonists who are intended to be very sympathetic, at least for the most part. Jack and Marguerite in particular have lost all control over their minds and their bodies, turning into extremely violent murderers and cannibals who threaten and attack their own family, kill anyone unfortunate enough to come across them and, especially in Marguerite’s case, lose complete autonomy over their own bodies. Marguerite turns into a walking bug hive who’s only purpose is to feed her family and birth her new children. Jack is an unstoppable murderous force of patriarchal violence who has so much fun chasing down and harming his victims, which in the Daughters DLC includes even his own daughter. The exception to this is obviously Lucas, who has been cured of his infection and his acting of his own free will. All of this is caused by Eveline, everything Jack and Marguerite do controlled by her, and yet Eveline is just as sympathetic as the rest of them. She’s a ten year old girl. Even Jack, who has watched his family and their victims suffer because of her infection, doesn’t seem to hold any of it against her. She just wants a family of her own, after all. It’s a complex and tragic situation.
The four lords, while I suppose being similar in structure, are not the Baker family. Not in dynamic, not in character, not in the kind of tragedy that they embody. I could talk for a while about just how completely different they are, but I don’t know if I really need to.
The Baker family are so tragic because they were just innocent bystanders trying to help a woman and a little girl they found in a shipwreck out in a storm. That’s the only reason they ended up in the situation that they were in. While the lords have similar origins, being victims of Mother Miranda’s experiments to bring her daughter Eva back, an important distinction between them is that in the case of the lords, all four of them are still acting of their own free will. Yes, Mother Miranda has undeniable power over them. She leads the cult they are part of, she has control over the village, she is their superior. However, I really dislike when every negative action by the lords is pushed onto her, as if the lords are not all grown adults who are for the most part acting independently of her.
With Alcina, she is the head of her own extremely brutal crimes. I think a lot of people have forgotten quite how horrifying the situations of the maidens are, possibly due to the prevalence shipping between Alcina and the maidens, and though we have minimal information what we do know is very frightening. Alcina uses her work force like livestock, draining them for their blood in a cellar full of horrific torture devices, and leaves their corpses to shamble around, armed and ready to attack any unwanted guests that have slipped out of the daughter’s clutches so that Alcina still doesn’t have to do her own dirty work, given how highly above everyone but Mother Miranda she appears to view herself as. While yes, Alcina does need human blood to survive, her methods are brutal, and none of this has been enforced upon her by Mother Miranda. Similarly to Jack on occasion, she takes a great deal of pleasure in hurting and attacking Ethan as he runs from her. Additionally, everything she does to Ethan is against Mother Miranda’s request. While yes, it is retaliation after he killed Bela, the part I often see people leave out is that Alcina is equally as upset that he entered her property and was attempting to steal from her, and she isn’t just after him to kill him.
Alcina has also been an active participant in aiding Mother Miranda with at least one experiment, considering that I’d how she got her daughters. While I’m sure her strong admiration for Mother Miranda and Mother Miranda’s power over her has absolutely had an affect in this, that’s not something I’ll deny, Alcina is still a grown woman and in her written entries about this shows no qualms about her participation in this. Her general attitude towards others, using young women as a good source and turning men into scarecrows, also leads me to believe that she does not exactly care who gets hurt or taken advantage of when it comes to her and Mother Miranda’s personal endeavours.
Donna and Moreau are the two more sympathetic people within the four lords, but they are not innocent. To start with Moreau, he’s desperate for Mother Miranda’s approval, as well as the other lords. He’s insecure and lonely, and he’s doing what he has been instructed by Mother Miranda when it comes to protecting the flask. However, he does also take quite a bit of joy in trapping Ethan in the reservoir and swimming after him with the intention to eat and kill him. Moreau though, given his conditions and circumstances, is the one I think is the least to blame for what he does.
Donna is hard to discuss because we know so little about her. Her parents are dead, as well as whoever Claudia was to her, she communicates through Angie and she can cause those who enter her house to hallucinate. According to Mother Miranda, Donna is severely mentally ill and that is what has made her an unfit vessel. I think a lot of people took this to mean that Donna is unaware of what she is doing, that the hallucinations she is showing Ethan are frightening, but after having been a fan of this game for years I just can’t agree with that anymore. Donna intentionally lures Ethan into her house with visions of his supposedly dead wife. Donna is going after fears she likely knows Ethan has, making him relive Mia’s death, take apart a mannequin of her, listen to her voice panic over something being horribly wrong with Rose, all building towards the horrifying baby that chases him through the house. There is no way Donna doesn’t understand how what she is showing Ethan is distressing, especially when you consider that, given how she can make herself appear and disappear at will within Ethan’s vision and that Angie is sitting in the hallways stationary and unspeaking, Donna was likely close by Ethan at all times and could see and hear his frightened reactions to what she was intentionally showing him.
Donna’s death is upsetting, but Ethan was not just chasing her down and killing her. Donna was attacking him, or at least she was controlling her dolls to do so. It’s still a hallucination, but Ethan doesn’t know that. When faced with a threat that is keeping you trapped and trying to end your life, you will likely try to get away or try to fight back, as Donna is doing to Ethan after he starts to attack her and Ethan is doing to Donna when he thinks his life is still in danger. I would also like to remind everybody that Donna communicates through Angie. What Angie is saying, that’s Donna. Angie doesn’t talk or move once she’s dead, it is Donna who controls her.
Lastly, Heisenberg. I think Heisenberg is the one of the four most entrenched in headcanons. Headcanons are fine, I am never in this post trying to suggest they aren’t, but my issue comes in when people use them to try and change the canon of the game. For example, it’s fine to believe that Heisenberg was experimented on by Mother Miranda as a child, but that isn’t canon. It’s fine to believe that Heisenberg mourned the deaths of his siblings, but that isn’t canon. The opposite is, with Heisenberg not viewing the cult as an actual family and being very openly mean to all three other lords, even Donna and Moreau who seemingly haven’t done anything to slight him. While his goal of killing another Miranda is a very understandable and sympathetic one given what she has done to him, using a six month old baby as a weapon and trying to bring her father into the mix only to try to get him killed when he denies him is not. I cannot overstate quite how little Heisenberg actually cared for Ethan and Rose’s safety when it came to his goal, and given that we are playing as Ethan, Rose is the priority.
Heisenberg has built an army of corpses he has presumably stolen and desecrated. This is kind of fucked up actually, and done completely independently of Mother Miranda. He also puts Ethan through a very dangerous lycan gauntlet before he even reaches the factory, which makes it even stranger to me that people seem to interpret Heisenberg’s deal as something that would have benefitted both him and Ethan and as if he ever had Ethan’s safety in mind.
All four of the lords have tragic aspects to them and there are definitely reasons to sympathise with all four. They’re victims of Mother Miranda, who knows they will all be killed. She wants them to be, giving her less to deal with by the time she has Eva back. They never meant anything to her. Not Alcina or Moreau, who were desperate for her attention. Not Donna, suffering from her unspecified but apparently severe mental illness. Not Heisenberg, who was seemingly her favourite creation. However, all of them are grown adults who do their own bad things independently of her.
And it’s fine to still like them. It’s fine for them to be your favourite character. It’s fine to have happy or nice headcanons about them or want to kiss them or be their friend or to want them to have survived. It’s fine to like characters who do shitty things. It’s to be expected in a game series like Resident Evil. It’s a horror game series. People are going to do bad things.
I just find it so boring when people take away all their bite. What makes a character like Lady Dimitrescu so fun it’s that she’s completely over the top. She’s campy and ridiculous, her castle layout makes no sense, she’s got three kids made of swarms of flies dressed like a set of goth triplets, she’s a lesbian who’s castle is full of naked statues of women, she turns into a big dragon and laughs maniacally while flying around and trying to eat you. She’s evil and it’s fun. It’s the same with Heisenberg. He’s a campy show off with a fun voice and a massive hammer he never actually uses. He can control metal. He looks like a cowboy. He pronounced Miranda in a funny way. He talks to you over an intercom while trying to get you killed. They’re fun and evil and they fight over who gets to kill Ethan like they’re two little kids. It’s absurd.
What makes a character like Donna so scary is that she’s silently working in the shadows, unassuming at a first glance and unseen for most of the time in her house. She is the least threatening of the four upon first glance, and yet she has undeniably the most frightening part of the game. Pretending as if Donna is completely unaware of what she is doing and babying her like she is an incapable child waters her down completely and takes away from the effectiveness of her character.
Villain characters are great! They’re very often the highlight of the story they are in, and they aren’t real! The four lords especially are often so completely exaggerated in what they do as well. It’s fine to like villains! It doesn’t make you bad! Characters can be bad people and you can still like them!
It’s just frustrating seeing a group of very fun and exciting villains, all designed with different aspects of horror, all over the top and campy and stupid and fun, all doing their own set of fucked up things, watered down to a set of poor innocent victims who have never done any wrong ever. If you want Jack and Marguerite, take Jack and Marguerite. Lady Dimitrescu loves killing and eating women and Karl Heisenberg turns corpses into soldiers. They’re bad people and they do comically exaggerated bad things. If you can’t stomach liking a character like that, horror is probably not the genre for you. Unless it’s Resident Evil 7, I suppose, but apparently tall women aren’t hot when it’s Marguerite Baker crawling on the walls.

8th House Synastry ✨
eight house rules sex, transformations, merged energies, deep attachments & bonding at the deepest level. this is a a highly intense, fated, addictive, intoxicating, sexual & sometimes frightening rxship. expect obsession, control, friendly competition & high physical attraction. the potency of this aspect can be felt the moment partners meet one another & will intensify the more partners get to know one another. but if partners can handle it, this connection can lead to a beautiful & long lasting rxship, with great learning & genuine devotion. the concept of soul mates being found in eighth house synastry can be true.
within this synastry, everything is felt too much & seems more intense; even a simple glance can send shivers down one’s spine, even small disputes will be hard to forgive & forget. partners will have the highest of highs together & the lowest of lows together. platonic or sexual, interactions with one another will have a very intense undertone. it can even be an enemies to lovers dynamic or a love/hate rxship that hurts so good. the connection becomes much deeper than partner’s anticipated. they planned to have a noncommittal & fun arrangement. but they suddenly want to have an official rxship & hate when that cant be fulfilled. it’s hard for partners to just be “cool” or “superficial” with each other.
if second house is self sufficiency, eight house is merging with someone else. within this emotionally deep rxship, there’s a depth that pervades the connection & binds the partners together, for better or worse. partners suddenly want to change their life path to align with the other. for example, changing their location or career just to be interlocked with one another. it can be so painful if the attraction isn’t mutual which can lead you to act in ways you never thought you’d act (stalking, love spells, extremely possessive behaviour). but if the attraction is mutual it can be one of the most beautiful & deepest rxships.
one subconsciously sees the other as a blessing delivery or redirection to their life, even if they’re being mistreated & the rxship is toxic. this aspect almost always involves blessings disguised in suffering, so it’s not best placement for synastry, unless its backed up by stronger & more grounded placements
it's in the darkness that we find the light & it's in the intensity of these rxships that we find our true selves. romantic or platonic, these rxships are often fated & transformative. their involvement with each other will drastically change both of them. they meet each other to teach each other a lesson they’ll never forget. even though the transformation process can be utterly harsh & traumatic, it produces a new & improved version them. similar to a major surgery, it fixes the problem within but definitely leaves a scar, so you remember the pain of the recovery process.
if second house is our self esteem, eight house is our weak spot. this is where our secrets reside so partners unknowingly uncover each others rawest layers. forget small talk & superfical relations. expect to unveil each-others deepest wounds, fears & desires. even if one is too scared of revealing themself, the other can read them like a book regardless. even if one is typically not the type to disclose their business, they will naturally share their whole life story with the other. partners will be able to open up completely & be understood in a way they never have before. partners bond by delving beneath the tip of the iceberg. but this can become their only point of attraction to one another, whilst their other basic needs for a rxship are not met. many people can't handle this synastry bc its so invasive & overwhelming. eight house governs the deep parts of ourselves that we want to keep hidden. when those parts are seen we feel vulnerable. partners know exactly what to say to either bring up or take down each other. this is an all or nothing rxship which flows deep enough to hurt or heal both partners. it will either cause everlasting love or everlasting trauma.
eight house governs our inner power. planet is able to easily see everything house is capable of. this breeds a rose coloured glasses effect. planet perceives house as more attractive, scary, important etc than house actually is. but this may cause planet to feel intimidated, threatened & jealous. planet’s envy of house provokes planet to gossip or betray house. on the other hand, planet may feel fascination & admiration for house. this causes planet to talk abt house a lot & this is where the infamous obsession comes from. planet may become obsessed with houses hidden side which prompts planet to cross a lot of houses boundaries. for example, planet going through houses phone or diary. when healthy, planet could have a desire to empower house or planet could feel more empowered around house. when unhealthy, planet feels powerless around house & wants to prove themselves to house. what the power struggle is abt depends on the planet. for example, venus causes a power struggle over who’s the most popular, beautiful, wealthy etc.
if second house is the sugar daddy, eight house is the sugar baby. partners may feel urged to give or gain from one another. it's advised to connect with someone you have this synastry with if they have a higher position than you professionally or materially so you can learn from them & gain from the rxship.
since this is such an intense connection, it is difficult for partners to leave each other completely. whenever partners try to move on, there is a sense of being haunted (which is amplified if accompanied by twelve house synastry). for example, you accidentally bump into their friends or family, you see their name eveywhere, you hear the songs they like, you find people with similar faces to them. being constantly reminded of them is why it’s so hard to let them go.

Moon Conjunct 8th House
moon becomes fascinated & obsessed with house emotionally & sexually. moon needs to know everything abt house, including secrets which aren’t shared with anyone else. moon will even cross some boundaries to get this info. moon either doesn’t realise or doesn’t care abt how weird this behaviour may seem. despite house being attracted to moon too, house feels constantly analysed by moon. moon feels the need to spend a lot of time with house to know how they are or see if they need something. house senses the power they have over moon.
however, if there is no physical attraction between these partners or many other bad aspects elsewhere, this connection can become extremely annoying for partners. if these two become enemies there will be no boundaries when it comes to what they will do to take each other down.
moon can be scary obsessed with house & very controlling over how house expresses themselves. moon turns this obsession into a dislike, becoming houses biggest hater, competing with house, gossiping abt house, etc. this can be be very one sided on moons part.
whether they are lovers or enemies, there is no denying house provoke something so intense within moon & moon feels deep emotions when in the company of house. partners always feel what the other feels.
there is always a fear of vulnerability from both partners within this synastry.

Venus Conjunct 8th House
there is a lot of feminine energy & themes here unlike ‘mars conjunct eight house’. this means manipulation, guilt trips, pettiness & emotional outburst will occur frequently. expect strong possession & obsession too, which will be amplified beyond belief if venus is insecure in any way.
venus embodies pluto traits & behaves more tense. house will protect venus from the world. there is a mystery surrounding house that venus can't seem to wrap their head around.
there may be a lot of secrets shared or a lot of secrets kept in this rxship. the rxship may remain a secret from the public eye.
the sex will not be the “one-night stand” type. it will be emotionally deep, affecting both partners.

Mars Conjunct 8th House
theres a lot more masculine themes & energy here compared to ‘venus conjunct eighth house’. no matter how airy or earthy mars may be… mars feels very thrilled by house & feels a sense of urgency to conquer house. mars feels compelled to bond & merge with house on every level bc they view house as their guilty pleasure. mars finds themselves constantly observing & intensely infatuated by house in a scorpion way. mars often expresses random & intense bursts of needing to physically touch or be in close reach to house. mars can take on a very intense energy around house that others will pick up on but the sheer depth is something that’ll always only exists between the two partners. convos between the two are very 1 on 1, even with people around them. initially, house feels scared & timid towards mars since mars has such a straightforward, pushy, dominant & rushing approach. house needs to see progress before completely losing their restraint & expressing their feelings. however, house simultaneously feels extremely sexy, mesmerised & aroused by mars’s raw desire. house can read mars very well. mars may provide for house. mars doesn’t forget abt house easily bc house changes mars’s life. rxship may be difficult to end bc mars will be persistent in continuing the rxship.
s3xual tension between partners is powerful & even others can feel it. this can cause partners operating more on instincts & lacking awareness of basic emotions. theres a strong need for physical intimacy & touch. for example, gentle touching or outright fighting. s3x if ever allowed can easily become addictive. partners have s3x like the world is going to end, possibly in forbidden places or secret spots. the s3x involves a lot of teasing, power plays, helping each other masturbate & holding each other as close as possible. s3x is use as an escape or release of stress. s3xually mars takes on a aggressive & passionate role whilst house can become very wild.
since this is the house of taboo, the attraction may be wrong in some way & the rxship feels forbidden even if it’s not. it may be a secretive dynamic where nobody knows they’re together or people wouldn’t expect them to be together.
despite partners feeling intrigued & excited for each other, there’s possibility of heavy feelings (frustration) for one another. one day they love each other, the next day they want to avoid each other. traumas can show through this rxship, like deep talks at night or triggering each others deep wounds. they like to pull each other, but neither takes the bait.

╰┈➤ PART I ➸ PART II
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru and Getou Suguru are both great professors. In front of class, they both have their own unique ways of teaching and how they interact with their students, which makes them both fun and great professors. Seeing how friendly they are to their students and colleagues, how they’re considered a fun duo, and how lively they are, one won’t seem to think of them as rude and rough and aggressive towards other people. Well, that is what others think, including your friends, Nobara, Megumi, and Yuuji. You though—you know damn well how rough and aggressive your professors are behind closed doors.
At this point, you basically have a hidden relationship with your professors and every night you pray that both men won’t leak the lewd photos and videos of you fucking your beloved professor Gojo and Getou. Despite worrying about some homemade porno of you fucking them, you can’t deny the fact that you like it. You like every bit of it; the attention, the mixture of pain and pleasure, and the mere thought that you’re the one who just so happens to have a sexual relationship with the professors who are constantly fantasized about in your university.
In class, however, you try your best to focus on the lectures and papers and work that your professors would give. Sometimes, they would tease you and sometimes they would completely ignore you. As much as you want to focus on your works, you don’t want to be ignored as if you’re now a useless thing for them to throw away. You wanted their attention; you want them to only have eyes for you and yet you also don’t want anyone else to know that you’re fucking two of the hottest professors in your university.
Even your friends don’t know about it because god knows what Nobara will say when she finds out. She won’t just say anything, she would freak out. The only thing you could pretend to do is, to pretend you aren’t seeing anyone, which led to Maki setting you up on a date with her friend from another university.
Now, you’re waiting at a nearby coffee shop for Yuta, which Maki said his name was.
You can’t deny the fact that you’re interested in this guy. As much as you want to spend your time alone now that your schedule is clear, you’re curious what kind of guy Yuta is and hopefully, this date would be the start of another romantic relationship for you. Waiting for Yuta had your mind occupied with something else other than thinking about your professors, Gojo and Getou.
“H-Hey,” you heard a voice called out.
“Oh, hi!” you smile at him, making him smile back.
Yuta possesses disheveled black hair with bangs hanging down to his forehead, dark blue eyes and bags under his eyes that, you think, added to his attractiveness. He wears a casual clothing, black shit underneath a denim jacket and pants with black leather boots.
The sight of Yuta smiling in front of you had you flustered and you didn’t even notice how long you’re staring until he shakes your shoulder, taking you out of your daydreaming.
“You’re the one Maki told me about, right?” he ask.
“Yes, that’s me,” you smile. “And you’re Okkotsu Yuta, right?”
“Just Yuta,” he scratches the back of his head. “You look great, by the way. To be honest, I’m really nervous about this date thing since I’m new to this.”
“Don’t worry, I am too,” you smile. “Come on. There’s this coffee shop near my university where we can talk. The food they serve there are amazing!” you took his hand as you lead him to your destination and Yuta didn’t seem to mind. In fact, he was joyous at how lively you are and he just knows that he’ll enjoy your company for the next hours.
Coffee date with Yuta is by far the most enjoyable date you’ve ever had. The both of you talked and laughed together and you liked how Yuta went from being shy and nervous to talkative and comfortable.
The coffee shop is packed, mostly students who are busy finishing their work or studying for exams and the constant ringing of the bell on the front door of the shop didn’t bother you at all until you saw two tall figures came in, one possessing white hair and the other with black hair.
Seeing your professors, Gojo and Getou, outside of the school grounds and with Yuta might not be the best scenario for you. Who knows what they might say or do to ruin your special day with someone you’re actually interested in.
Your eyes were too busy tracking down Gojo and Getou’s movements and your mind was too occupied to listen to Yuta as you thought about your professors ruining your date. Yuta seems to have notice about the sudden lack of attention so he asked what was wrong, snapping you out of your thoughts and your eyes are now back on Yuta. You apologized to him for not paying attention, to which he said it was okay but not a minute later, your gaze were back on eyeing Gojo and Getou. But then again, the two of them haven’t spoken to you or called you to their offices for weeks now and you couldn’t help but think that they’re tired of you so why not occupy your time and attention with someone who’s really interested in you? Wasting your time with your horny professors aren’t worth it so you sat there, now paying close attention to Yuta.
“Where do you want to go to next?” he asks. “We could go to the arcade if you like? Or watch movies?”
“Both are great. We could go the arcade first then we can watch movies at the cinema,” you smile. “Come on, let’s go.”
You stand up from your seat and take Yuta’s hand and walk towards the door. A pair of cerulean eyes seem to have notice your presence, making him look over his shoulder, only to see you smiling and holding another man’s hand. Gojo scoffs before pointing you to Getou who is now handing him a cup of coffee.
“Oh? Looks like our precious student found a replacement for us,” Getou chuckles.
Gojo might be mean behind closed doors but Getou is by far crueler than him. It’s as if the two of them are competing over you on who makes you cum the fastest or who’s got the better dick between them. You, however, were too fucked up to care which of them has the bigger dick. Maybe when it comes to personality, Gojo wins that title.
Gojo follows Getou out of the coffee shop as he walks towards you. The black-haired man tied in a man bun placed a hand on shoulder, which startled you, making you look over your shoulder. You feel Yuta’s hand tighten around yours and he couldn’t help but pull you even closer to him.
“Easy there,” Getou chuckles as he put both of his hands up in the air as if he’s being arrested. “We’re looking all over for you,” he says to you, making Yuta raise an eyebrow.
“Do you know them?” Yuta asks.
“Oh, she knows us very well, right, Y/N?” This time, Gojo interrupts. “We’re her bodyguards. Her mother is looking for her since she has a date coming over their place tonight.” Gojo puts both of his hands on top of your shoulders, giving it a squeeze as he smiles at Yuta, who is still suspicious about the situation.
“It’s okay, Yuta. They’re… they won’g hurt me, it’s fine,” you say. You turn your back against Yuta and faced Gojo and Getou. “My mom didn’t tell me anything about having a date for tonight. Tell them I already have a date and I don’t need another man who I’m not interested in.”
“Sorry but we’re just doing our job. We still have to take you home,” Gojo smiles. “Well, if you want your parents to get angry again—which you probably don’t—we’ll let you carry on this date. Let’s go, Suguru.”
“Wait!” you call out to them before looking back to Yuta. “Let’s continue this date some other time, okay? I’m really sorry, Yuta, but I have to go. I had a really great time with you. I’ll see you next time.” With that, you give him a kiss on the cheek before waving goodbye at him and join the two men.
“Call me when you get home, okay?” he waves goodbye, his cheeks blushing and he couldn’t help but smile to himself.
“I will!” you yelled before getting inside Gojo’s car.
The white-haired man hops on the driver’s while Getou sits beside you. You moved further away from him and sit beside the window. You kept quiet for the first minutes of the ride, asking yourself why you had ruined your date with Yuta by going along these two men who ignored your presence for a weeks. Maybe it’s because you wanted their attention again? Or maybe it’s because you wanted them to make you feel good again after what feels like an eternity of ignoring you.
“He’s a keeper,” Gojo chuckles. “You got yourself a good one, sweetheart. Did you tell him that you’re fucking two of your professors?”
“Shut up, Satoru,” you rolled your eyes at the man. “I really wanted this date to go well but you two decided to ruin it.”
“If you wanted it to go well then why did you come with us?” Suguru asks, making you silent.
You know damn well why. You couldn’t admit out loud how you missed Suguru and Satoru’s kisses, how you missed their hands roaming around your body, and how they make you feel good. However, you are still ashamed that you had left Yuta to come with your professors. You like the man. You really do. You like how Yuta makes you comfortable and how he attentive he is to you, how he makes you flustered even with the little things he does and you thank whatever god there is for making you and Yuta get along so well. But if you want to make this work with him, you have to stop the sexual relationship you have with your professors, which is… something that you can’t seem to let go.
Suguru’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts, you look at him and see his fingers signaling you to come towards him. You bite your lips, trying to stop yourself from doing so yet your body gave in and the next thing you knew, you’re sitting on his lap, arms circled around his neck while his hands are on your waist.
“Why did the two of you ignored me the past few weeks?” you ask. “I thought you—you wanted to stop. I thought you didn’t want me anymore.”
“Why did you think that?” Suguru whispers. “We were avoiding you because you don’t want others to know of our relationship, right?”
“Yes, but—”
“We were avoiding you because we’re protecting you, sweetheart,” Gojo was the one who spoke this time. “Don’t want others to think that you have something going on with your professors, yeah?”
“Yeah… I’m sorry,” you whisper.
“You should be sorry,” Suguru says before pressing kisses on your neck, making you tilt your head up to give him more access. “We didn’t like that you’re hanging out with that guy,” he whispers in between his kisses.
You let out a soft moan when Suguru bit your neck and his hands start to roam around your body, feeling your warmth as you press yourself on to him, your hips grinding against his crotch. Suguru removes your shirt and letting it drop on the floor of the car. The cold air inside the vehicle sent shivers down your spine as you were left wearing your bra. Suguru’s hand unclasped the hook expertly, tossing the undergarment somewhere.
“Wait for me, you impatient assholes,” Satoru scoffs yet you and Suguru decides to ignore him. All you could let out is a yelp when the black-haired man suddenly bit your nipple while his hand is rubbing circles around your clothed cunt.
“Ah, Sugu—Suguru,” you whimper against his neck, letting your hips grind against him.
“That’s not what you call me.”
“‘m sorry… Sir.”
Suguru’s slender fingers pull your panties to the sides, your wetness coating the tip of his fingers as he rubs your slit, making you grip his shoulder. His kisses went even further down, leaving marks on your collarbone and chest and even sucking and biting your nipples that caused you to let out a whimper. You’re panting hard when Suguru suddenly pushes you down the passenger seat, fully removing your skirt and panties as if he’s trying to tear your clothing apart at how aggressive and rough he is.
You couldn’t even protest when Suguru suddenly positioned himself in between your legs, letting it rest on his shoulder. A pornographic moan escapes your lips when you suddenly feel Suguru’s tongue meet your wet slit, licking it from top to bottom. He hums against your pussy, making your back arch as his moans sent vibrations. Your hands went to grip Suguru’s hair, tangling the strands in between your fingers. His tongue continues to pleasure you, licking and sucking your clit as if it’s his last meal. Even though his tongue is already too much for you, he smirks and slowly inserts one finger inside you, making you whine and grip his hair even tighter in your grasp.
“Oh, fuck! Ah—Sir, wait!” you whine when he inserts another finger in you. This time, his tongue is licking and sucking you while his fingers are thrusting in and out of you in a fast pace.
You didn’t know whether you’d push Suguru away or press yourself even more to him. The sensation is too much for you and yet you wanted to feel more of him after ignoring your for weeks. Suguru can’t deny that he misses your pussy. He had to endure the past few weeks without fucking you because of Satoru’s stupid idea of ignoring you in order for others to not get suspicious. He spent the entire weeks fisting himself to the thought of you and to every photos and videos he has on his phone, fucking you mercilessly.
The thought of it had Suguru picking up the pace, thrusting his fingers rapidly as his tongue alternated between licking and sucking your wet folds. You didn’t know whether you’d grip his hair or cover your mouth or hold on to the leather seat of Satoru’s car. The white-haired man chuckles as he watches you squirm underneath Suguru’s grasp and noticed how your hands don’t know where to hold on to. Satoru creeps his way onto the back where you’re sprawled on the seat as Suguru continues to eat you out. Satoru guides your left hand to the base of cock, motioning your hand in an up and down motion. Your entire body shook as you feel yourself getting closer and closer into climax, your back arching and your toes curling against Suguru’s back.
“Ngh—Fuck! I’m—’m cumming!” Just as you’re about to reach your orgasm, Suguru suddenly pulls away, making you whine as he smirks above you. “N-No, why’d you stop? I was—ngh—I was so close.”
“I don’t think you deserve to cum after seeing what happened today, right, Satoru?” Suguru chuckles as he wipes his lips.
“Yeah. To think that we’re protecting you from allegations and here you are, replacing us for such a lame student,” Satoru grins. “That doesn’t seem fair, sweetheart. Now, let’s continue this inside, yeah?”
Tumblr media
“Mmph! Nngh…” you whimper as you try to struggle out of your restraints.
As soon as Satoru and Suguru brought you inside Suguru’s house, they immediately tossed you on the bed and restrained your wrists to the bed, legs spread because of the spreader bar around your ankles, a vibrator pushing against your clit and a ball gag to silence your moans and whining. Your face is soaked with sweat and tears as you wait for Satoru and Suguru to finish grading some papers. It’s so cruel of them to leave you inside the master bedroom, all tied up and muffled and a camera set up in front of the bed.
It’s been—what? An hour? An hour and you already came four times. You’re so fucked out yet the men who’s taking possession of the remote of the vibrator kept setting it on a high level, making your back arch and your toes to curl. The bedsheets are now wet and slicked with your juices yet it was the last thing you could think of. When you felt the vibrations lower down, you relaxed yourself on the bed, panting hard and trying to keep yourself awake until suddenly—
“Mmph!” you whimper when the vibrations suddenly went high, even higher than before. You’re guessing it’s the maximum level, which made your back arch and your toes to curl as you climaxed again for what feels like the umpteenth time.
A few minutes after, you hear the door clicked, revealing Satoru and Suguru. Your vision is blurry because of the tears yet you could still see the sinister grins on their faces as they walk towards you. Satoru removes the gag around your lips and the first word to escape from you is please.
“You’re so fucked out,” Satoru chuckles. “We haven’t even started yet.”
“Satoru, get her out of her restraints, but don’t remove her cuffs. I have an idea.”
Satoru did what the black-haired man told him to do. The vibe against your clit is gone now, so is the spreader bar. The only thing left on you is the cuffs around your wrists behind your back. Suguru forces you to sit on his lap in front of the camera while Satoru settles himself in between your legs.
“W-wait, ‘Toru,” you whimper and try to push his head away from your pussy. “’m still—still sensitive… need a break—ah! Fuck!”
You let out a moan as Satoru’s tongue met your aching clit, still sensitive from the vibrations earlier. You try to close your thighs yet Suguru holds both of them, opening your legs even wider and knowing that Suguru is much bigger than you, he is also stronger so there’s no use to trying to close your thighs despite the overstimulation, your head fall backwards on Suguru’s shoulder.
Satoru would moan every now and then, sending vibrations to your clit, making you whimper while Suguru spreads your legs even wider as his lips travel down the sides of your neck, leaving marks and hickeys on your skin. Suguru’s hand travels up to your face, cupping your jaw to make you look at the camera in front of the three of you, capturing the lewd sight and showing how fucked you are.
Your toes start to curl and your back starts to arch, making you squirm against Suguru’s hold while Satoru continues to eat you out. Your moans are almost pornographic as you can feel yourself reaching your climax again.
“Toru! ‘m gonna—oh, fuck—gonna cum! ‘m so close, please!”
“Then cum, slut,” Suguru whispers, enough to make you see stars and your mind to go blank as you cum on Satoru’s mouth. “C’mere, Toru,” the black-haired man says from behind before pressing his lips against Satoru’s, tasting your juices that is coating his mouth.
“You bit my tongue, you asshole,” Suguru says, pushing the white-haired man.
“My bad,” Satoru chuckles before turning his attention back to you. “C’mere, sweetheart,” he mumbles and you immediately obey, settling yourself in between Satoru’s legs, your face on level with the bulge inside his pants.
Satoru opens the top buttons of his shirt, allowing himself to breathe before pulling down his pants and boxers, his hard cock slapping against his abdomen. You gulp at the sight of its pink tip leaking with pre-cum and how aching it is to be sucked by you and to fuck you mercilessly. You didn’t utter another word and immediately licked the tip of his cock, making him take a sharp breath.
“Oh, fuck. God, I missed this mouth of yours,” Satoru moans as you take him in deeper, in a slow and sensual way possible. Satoru sits on the edge of the bed while you’re on the floor, sucking him slowly.
“Lift your hips for me, love,” Suguru whispers behind you, which you obeyed. The black-haired man settles himself on the floor in between your thighs, giving him a clear view of your glistening cunt.
“Suguru, what are you doing?” you ask. “I—ah—I’ll crush you down there.”
“Don’t worry about it, babe. He likes it when his face is being sat on,” Satoru chuckles. “Tell you what, if you make me cum first before Suguru makes you, we’ll give you a reward.”
“What kind of reward—ah!” you shriek when Suguru suddenly slapped your cunt before licking your slit and burying his nose on your clit.
“Let’s change the agreement then. If you cum before I do, we’ll punish you.” Satoru mumbles. You nod before continuing to suck him off as Suguru eats you out.
Suguru’s tongue alternates between licking and sucking your cunt as his nose touches your aching clit. You couldn’t help but moan around Satoru’s cock, your pace becoming faster that the room starts to fill with the lewd noises that you’re making as you suck him off. The more you try to lift your hips away from Suguru’s mouth, the more he circles his arm around your thighs to keep you in place, leaving you no chance of escape against him. Even Satoru’s hand is on your head, guiding you to continue giving him pleasure.
Your pace became even faster when you felt Suguru insert his tongue in between your folds, making your legs shake. You sucked Satoru's cock deeper, hitting the back of your throat and that your nose is buried on his pubes. Satoru releases a moan as he guides your head. Your eyes start to fill up with tears, both from gagging and the overstimulation that Suguru’s tongue is making you feel.
“Oh, god! Fuck! Keep going faster, baby. C’mon, you can do it—oh, shit!” Satoru can already feel himself getting closer and closer yet he doesn’t want to give in. Not until you cum first so he can punish you.
You feel Suguru chuckle against your cunt, sending vibrations which made you moan around Satoru’s cock. Suguru’s licking and sucking intensifies that it had you grinding your hips against his mouth, forgetting about your agreement with the white-haired man, for your only thought right now is to make yourself cum.
You notice Satoru’s breathing became even heavier, his abs flexing as he can already feel himself getting closer and so do you. You’re so close yet you also want to make Satoru cum. When you suddenly feel Suguru’s fingers slide inside your folds, you lost it. You moan against Satoru’s cock, feeling your orgasm rip through you as your body shake above Suguru’s face.
Satoru’s hand pushes your head, making you pull away from his cock. A smirk is visible on his face, knowing that you lost the agreement that the both of you had decided on. His slender fingers wipe your tears away while Suguru gives your cunt one last lick before standing up the floor. You whimper from the overstimulation but that doesn’t stop the both of them when Suguru removes his belt to circle it around your neck while Satoru brings out their favorite toy to use on you—a silicone dildo—almost as big and thick as the white-haired man’s cock. Well, scratch that. It wasn’t the dildo that was their favorite toy, it was you.
Satoru suctioned the toy on the wooden floor in between your thighs, signaling you to lower yourself on the dildo right in front of the two of them. You watch the two of them make out with each other as you whimper, feeling the toy sink deeper into you, coating it with your juices. You hear Satoru’s mumbles against Suguru’s mouth as the black-haired man run his hand up and down along Satoru’s cock while you watch, riding the toy up and down in slow pace.
“Faster, slut,” you hear Suguru’s reprimanding tone, leaving you no choice but to ride the plastic dick even faster. “That the best you can do?”
“Ngh—can’t. I can’t take it, Suguru. ‘m so—so sensitive,” you cry, making the black-haired man roll his eyes before yanking the belt around your neck to make you look up at him with tears blurring your vision. “I can—I can go even faster, sir. I’m—I’m sorry.”
“Nah, I just need to do all the work for you,” Suguru smirks. Something that you have a bad feeling of.
Suguru orders you to stand up, leaving the dildo on the floor that is coated with your essence. He, then, told you to sit in between his legs while he sits on the edge of the bed in front of the camera that—you didn’t notice—is still in front of you. Suguru spreads your legs once more while his other hand is holding the dildo. You squirm against his touch but couldn’t do anything because of how big he is compared to you. Without any warning, Suguru slowly inserted the tip of the dildo inside your soaking cunt, making you yelp and squirm against him.
“You can take it, right, doll?” he whispers against your ear. All you can do is nod as he slowly plunges the entire length of the toy inside you. “Atta girl.”
Suguru plunges the toy in and out of you while Satoru pleasures himself behind the camera, stroking his cock that matches the same pace that black-haired man inserts the dildo inside of you. Your soft groans and whimpers turned into moans as Suguru’s pace starts to quicken.
“Ahh! Suguru! S-slow down, please!” you cry, but instead of slowing down, Suguru’s pace became even faster.
The pace was enough to make you curl your toes and bit your lips as you can feel yourself releasing another orgasm again and it didn’t help when Suguru’s other hand came down to feel your sensitive clit while the other plunges the dildo inside you in a merciful pace. The combination of Suguru’s fingers against your clit and the dildo going in and out inside of you was enough to make you squeal and a transparent liquid starts squirting out of you, making you mumble under your breath, saying your sorry for making such a mess.
“Think you can do that again, doll?” Suguru whispers against you. You shake your head, telling him that you can’t take much more.
“You’re—ngh—you’re gonna break me,” you cry against him.
“Well, that’s the whole point.”
Tumblr media
“Do you want me to answer it for you, sweetheart?” Satoru asks as he stares at your ringing phone beside you on the creaking bed.
Your face is buried on the sheets, hands clasping on the pillows as the white-haired man takes you from behind. You try to ignore the ringing and even shook your head to tell Satoru to leave it alone. But, as expected, he didn’t. Still continuing his thrusts, Satoru picks up the phone and answers it while you try so hard to muffle your whimpers and moans on the sheets.
“It would be rude not to answer,” he chuckles as he holds the phone in front of you.
Seeing the contact name, it’s Yuta. You didn’t even remember anyone with that name but your mind suddenly wandered off to the man you had a date with earlier. It’s only been a couple of hours yet you had already forgotten him, thanks to your dear professors.
“Hello?” you ask, trying to muffle your whimpers.
[“Hey, it’s me! You didn’t call earlier so I got a little worried. Did you get home safe?”]
“Ngh, fuck—yeah, yes, I’m fine. I got—got home safe.”
[“Are you okay? Sounds like you’re… running or something?”]
Without any warning, Satoru pulls his cock out and plunges into you so suddenly, making you yelp and grip the sheets even tighter. His pace became even more faster than before, making the headboard create even more louder banging against the wall.
“Oh, god—fuck! I’m okay—I’m fine, Yuta.”
[“Are—are you sure? Hey, what’s going on?”]
Satoru rolls his eyes and takes the phone from your hand, bringing it up to his ears.
“Heya, buddy. She’s kinda busy right now and probably too cock-drunk to make a conversation so… bye!” the white-haired man chuckles before ending the call. “Heh, you’re lucky I didn’t open the front cam.”
“I hate you, ‘Toru,” you whisper.
“I love you, too, sweetheart.”

One of the many tragedies of Jack Drake is that not only was he bad at being a parent, but that he had the perfect person to discuss how hard the experience was for him right there and yet the only conversation they ever have about parenting Tim is conducted at gunpoint.
Because look at Jack Drake. As far as he was concerned, he had everything under control until Janet died and his world fell apart.
Tim was a Good Kid™ as a kid. He was well behaved and polite and not a difficult child and that's obvious from the fact that many of his memories of his parents together are of being taken out in public. Jack and Janet had one kid and they clearly wanted that kid to enjoy the same things they did, so they took him with them to restaurants and museums and art galleries and the opera. And he enjoyed it and enjoyed that time with them.
Jack however clearly saw his role as a father and a husband in the very traditional position as the main provider. It was his job to work and bring in the income that supported their lifestyle (his depressive episode after losing the company and their having to move makes it very clear how much of his self-worth was tied up in that role). He had a son, but his time with Tim was pretty clearly about taking Tim out with him on a Saturday afternoon to watch sport, or play tennis with his friends, or go to the monster trucks, or go fishing: being able to spend a few hours with Tim and show him off to his friends and then return home and someone else took over looking after Tim. And in his mind, he clearly thought he was a good parent! He spent time with his son! His son was a credit who was worth showing off! He could take Tim with him when he and Janet went out for the evening, and Tim could be relied upon to behave. He was winning at being a father!
The part Jack never realised, of course, was that like many men in his position, he'd handed the day to day logistics of raising a kid over to his wife (Janet) and to people he paid to do it for him (Tim's boarding school). He wasn't the disciplinarian parent. He was the 'fun' parent, who got to have the good times with his child.
If Jack was ever actually involved in decisions about discipline and consequences of actions, it was probably at the ultimate stage: the 'wait til your father gets home' sort of threat. The nuclear option. He didn't handle the everyday stuff - he probably never SAW the everyday stuff.
So, Jack thinks he's a great parent. He can brag to his friends about how well behaved HIS child is, unlike those little ruffians you see screaming in public or whose parents can't take them anywhere because they're disruptive.
Then his world falls apart. He's injured and disabled and grieving. He's a single dad. And the kid he's got is suddenly not the child he remembers. Tim frequently acts out, lies, runs away and comes home with bruises and notes from school saying they’re worried something is going on. He also starts dating and possibly trying to have sex ‘too young’ (being caught with Ariana sleeping over and the couch situation, Steph being pregnant even if Tim insisted it wasn't his).
Jack Drake has to suddenly step up to be the main parent of a 14 year old who he's probably never had that dynamic with. He doesn't have the years of experience in how Tim reacts to various forms of boundaries and punishments, because he's never been the one who set them or enforced them. He's probably never sat down and talked to Tim about his feelings in his life. And Tim, I repeat, is fourteen years old, possibly one of the most difficult ages for a kid. Everyone's 14 year olds are suddenly more difficult than usual and pushing boundaries.
On top of that, he's got to learn this all on the fly, in circumstances where he basically has no support. "Help, I'm a new single father to a teenager' isn't really a genre of self help book or parenting group that gets a lot of love - most people who are single parents aren't men, and most people looking for advice on dealing with problems with raising their kids are talking about under-5s, because by the time kids are out of the toddler stage most parents have a reasonable idea of what works and what doesn't, have networks set up, and are usually reaching out for a bit of advice or support about a specific situation, not Dealing With It All.
What Jack really needs is a buddy or two who are also single fathers to teenage boys, who have experience navigating this, maybe who also acquired responsibility for their son in his teen years. Wow. I mean that's a big ask, but funnily enough, there's someone who lives right next door who exactly fits that description...
(The tragedy that Bruce and Jack only ever have the one discussion about parenting Tim, the kid they've been effectively co-parenting since Tim was 13 years old, and that that discussion took place with Jack holding a gun on Bruce).
So of course Jack is terrible at being a parent to Tim. He's inexperienced, he doesn't have any support, he doesn't SEEK support outside of marrying Dana (and Dana clearly while lovely is both ineffective and reluctant to interfere in Jack and Tim's relationship). Now, he fails on very specific axes, in ways that are both understandable and also signs that Jack has a bad handle on his temper.
His go-to threat is sending Tim back to boarding school, because: when Tim was at boarding school, Jack didn't have any discipline issues with Tim! It clearly worked!; Tim doesn't want to go back to boarding school, making it a threat to hold over him; again, Jack's seeing a kid who is sneaking around, lying, running away and he's at his wits end - there's a narrative in the circles he lives in that such kids DO need to be taught to behave and sending them to boarding school is a way to do that.
He runs hot and cold on paying attention to Tim because up until Tim was 14 that was...what he did! And it wasn't such an issue then, as he wasn't a single parent. And when he pays attention, he does tend to be focused (laser focused, in fact), in getting Tim out of No Man's Land, of the dramas at school during Cry of the Huntress when Jack's getting outraged over Tim's bruises and getting into fights, when he's arguing with Ariana's uncle over whether Tim and Ariana's relationship was going too far.
It's just that he never developed the day to day, in between level of parenting and boundary setting and discipline. He's got a temper, and he swings between "it'll be fine, Tim's a smart kid, I trust him" laid back permissiveness, and getting mad and going immediately to the nuclear option: "You are going back to boarding school!" and so on.
He doesn't know how to walk away and calm himself down when he's worked up. He's not particularly good at redirecting his aggression. And he gets easily frustrated, because in his mind everything went smoothly for years...until it was all his responsibility.
And the thing is, there are so many ways Jack could have tried harder to be a good parent, that were available to him. But because of his background and the culture he lived in and the demands of storytelling he never reached out for any of them.
(And Bruce was right there! They knew each other socially! Everyone knew Bruce had worked through having two teenage sons on his own! He could have asked for advice, and he even knew Bruce knew Tim, given Bruce had officially fostered Tim while Jack was in a coma and in hospital. If you were putting together a specific support group you'd kick yourself over how perfect this was)
It's just such a part of the tragedy of Jack Drake.

Astro observations #6
• Scorpio suns with Capricorn moons are very calculating and when jealous it can show pretty visibly.
• Cancer suns with Virgo risings are so chill!! Literally the type to give you some real advice and listen to your rants.
• Libra suns with Capricorn moons are charming and very friendly but also very reserved about their personal lives.
• Libra suns with Taurus moons are very much foodies and tend to have sweet/smooth & soft voices.
• Pisces suns with Gemini moons are really sweet and charming. Also very intelligent.
• Aries suns with Cancer moons literally must be protected at all costs!!
• Virgo suns with Virgo moons are so nice and down to earth. Also very analytical and you’ll often find them zoned out with this worried look on their face as they bite their lip or their nails.
• Sagittarius suns with Aquarius moons are my kind of people lol. Love love love traveling and are almost always away from home. They’re also sweet and understanding! And if they have a Sag mercury? Very hilarious and bold!!
• Taurus suns with Leo moons/Gemini venuses are definitely the class clowns!
• Scorpios suns with Libra moons give off very fast mentally vibes and constantly worrying about attractive people not likening them, especially if they have a Sag venus.
• Scorpio mars people are CHILLLL. But you don’t wanna see them mad or be on their bad side.
• Gemini placements tend to overthink everything before things even happen. Especially Gemini risings, no wonder they’re always nervous.
• Aquarius moons tend to have a squared jaw which oftentimes makes their faces look more rounder.
• Leo suns with Leo moons tend to have sharp jawlines!!
• Pisces suns with Aries mercuries are menaces! Lmaooo😂.
• Virgo suns with Virgo mercuries have a sexy logical way of thinking and speaking!!
• Virgo suns with Libra mercuries are more about what sounds fair.
• Virgo suns with Leo mercuries are wilddd.💀 I have mistaken them for Pisces suns with Aries mercuries at times.
• Taurus suns with Sagittarius moons have an obsession with video games I swear.
• Taurus sun & Earth moon parent-Scorpio sun & Earth moon child dynamics tends to be horrible! The Taurus sun-Earth moon parent will literally hold a 30+ year grudge against the Scorpio sun-Earth moon child and might belittle them or remind them of their failures often. They might also single them out or the Taurus sun-Earth moon parent might’ve always played favourites.
• Leo sun-Aqua moon & Cap sun-Gemini moon duos tend to joke a lot and laugh a lot together, even make fun of people in their faces lmao. Literally the type to be waving big jugs of water around, throwing water at each other in the middle of the street while laughing their asses off and walking bare footed. They might also argue at times or think one betrayed the other but besides that they’re very loyal to each other.🤞🏽
• Libra suns can be very caring and also give great advice.
• Aquarius sun people might be a little dry especially when you first meet them and throughout the friendship there may be a little awkwardness in the air but they’re very funny and very original!
• Virgo sun men with Aries risings why are you so fine?😩
• Water suns with Earth mars why are you so intuitively and physically sexy? 😻
• Gemini suns with Leo moons and Aries mars so hot!!🥵
• Fire venuses are sooo attractive!!
• Tbh I love Cap venuses because they’re not “gold diggers” they choose to slowly build a connection with someone instead of just jumping straight into a relationship. And they also wanna insure stability into their relationships—and there’s nothing wrong with that!
• Scorpio venuses tend to get attached easily! I love that placement!! Same with Scorpio mars!
• Taurus mars are literally so attractive!!!
• Sag mars are so fun!!
• Air in big 3 have a thing for saying ‘I’ll be there inna minute.” And “Okay I’ll do it inna minute”.🧐
• Aries risings, Sag risings, Cap risings and Gemini risings are fineee!!🤤
• Virgo risings might not show their smarts outwardly but they’re very smart people!
• Aquarius placements take the cake for being the most eccentric but why aren’t people talking about Gemini and Libra placements being eccentric too? Especially the moons! I see a lot of people with Libra moons especially, express themselves through art even down to the clothes their wear and their hair colors. And Gemini placements? Also tend to be eccentric and futuristic. Especially if there’s a mix of water in the charts.
• Libra suns/risings/moons can be so petty mostly when underdeveloped.
• Gemini suns/risings/moons can be the worst gossips if underdeveloped.
• Sagittarius suns with Libra moons and Sagittarius mercuries/venuses literally have my heart. <3
• Underdeveloped Cancer risings can be very emotionally manipulative. And if they have a Cancer Venus even worse!
• More matured Cancer risings are literally so nurturing, loving and very thoughtful.<3

notes on “the runaway”
Tumblr media
the more i see people discuss how strangely sokka’s character is portrayed in “the runaway” the more i cannot help but feel that all my ad hoc rationalizations and justifications as to why he would contradict himself so greatly might actually be meaningless. why would he allow the gaang to endanger themselves for foolish reasons when he is the overly paranoid voice of caution in literally every other episode? why would he be so easily swayed by toph’s manipulative promise of buying him a fancy atlas when he’s literally holding her wanted poster? and most crucially, why would he say that he sees katara as his mother when no other episode in the show indicates that this is remotely the case?
this episode is great for katara and toph, whose hangups are compellingly explored here. i won’t get into the common misconceptions about katara being “motherly” or why they’re even at loggerheads to begin with, as i’ve discussed this at length in the past, but it’s actually undeniable that the assumption that katara is the de facto “mom friend” stems primarily from this episode, where toph all but outright accuses her of fancying herself their collective mother. however, katara becoming “the mother” of the group is very much a post-toph shift in her character, and you see her femininity being accentuated in contrast with toph’s deliberate lack of femininity also being linked to this sort of maternal role that she occasionally adopts, especially around toph. but i don’t actually think the issue is one of katara being a smothering, maternal figure towards toph, but rather a miscommunication regarding power, gender, class, and community vs independence. when katara and toph fight, it is for far more complex and nuanced reasons than the notion that katara is simply too overbearing. if anything, it’s the way in which she is overbearing that irks toph, just as toph’s rudeness is not the central issue, but rather that toph’s values (those of total independence and freedom) are misinterpreted as malice by katara (who values community and collaboration), and vice versa.
something very crucial to understand about this episode is that katara is not actually mad that toph endangered their group by pulling fun scams. katara has endangered their group countless times in the past to satisfy her own impulsive desires (and yes, she wants justice, but toph similarly rationalizes her scams through the lens of achieving moral vindication). katara would be all over toph’s scammery, would come up with scams of her own, would be having more fun than anyone—had she been included from the start. which is exactly the point. it is her exclusion that foments her critique, not the subject of their act itself (and the reason that you could not replace katara with sokka in this scenario is simply because toph would never exclude sokka in the first place). but katara would never admit that she is hurt by toph’s exclusion aloud, because katara is an extremely proud person. and a prideful, wounded fourteen year old is not going to thoughtfully use “i statements” as if in a group therapy session with the equally prideful twelve year old who deliberately excluded her; no, she is going to lash out. (lest we forget that in their first real episode establishing their group dynamic, katara literally mocks toph’s blindness. hardly an okay thing to do, in my opinion!) their conflict stems from their differences, but also from their similarities. they are both proud, angry, powerful, stubborn, and must assert their dominance at all times. it’s clear they both want to be friends with each other, and at times they are, but it is really only in this episode where they are able to cross a threshold that allows them to be truly honest about more meaningful insecurities than simply their looks (although i do of course find their exchange in “tales” beautiful as well). and you know who is instrumental (albeit reluctant to interfere) in facilitating that growth? sokka.
i’ve gone more in depth in the past analyzing why sokka’s speech in this episode regarding his mother and katara isn’t exactly as it sounds. i personally interpret his admission, that katara has always been there for him and that her face is all he sees when he tries to picture his mother, as an illustration of his codependent attachment to her, as she is the very locus of his identity. this interpretation is compounded by the fact that when kya’s face is finally revealed later in the season, she does bear an uncanny resemblance to sokka, which to me signifies the way in which sokka sublimates his own face for katara’s—which is also deeply unhealthy, but in a different way than an older brother parentifying his younger sister would be.
the fact is that there is simply no indication throughout the entire show (including this episode) that sokka views or treats katara as a parent. there are of course moments wherein she supports him emotionally or materially, but most of the time she is in fact teasing, tormenting, undermining, yelling at, or otherwise making life harder for him, at which point he is far more likely to act as her guardian figure and admonish her while simultaneously helping her get out of whatever mess she’s caused. and considering that sokka’s defining moment is when hakoda stakes his identity to protecting his (ontologically special) sister (which, as we know, as the bearer of kya’s face, in fact means dying for her), this dynamic makes far more sense than the other way around. i know that people commonly portray katara as the voice of reason who cleans up sokka’s messes, but besides a couple examples, it’s consistently the other way around. yes, it’s very easy to assume that sokka’s speech indicates that he sees katara as his replacement mother, but we cannot take this speech at face value if we are also to take the rest of the text into account, which we must.
but then there’s also the other glaring question that must be taken into account: why would sokka even allow all this? considering the first thing toph bartered was the sword he has painstakingly crafted just an episode prior, why didn’t sokka just pull the plug then and there? it really doesn’t make sense that sokka wouldn’t take katara’s side just for practical, logistical reasons. even if she doesn’t really care about the own point she’s making (as demonstrated by the fact that the scam she devises literally lands her in jail), sokka would see the logic in it. but... he does. he is the one to first discover the wanted poster, and he immediately points out to toph that their scams are drawing undue attention to her, and that they should put an end to it now that's it's putting them at risk. and yet, toph successfully bribes him, and so he continues to participate. why? what about the prospect of having money is so appealing to sokka that he’s willing to risk his precious rationality and caution for the potential of acquiring more of it? well, it’s actually quite simple.
toph is scamming for the thrill of the game. she loves proving the kind of men who undermined and demeaned her all her life wrong. she loves humiliating the people of the world who had once humiliated her. she’s not someone who values earthly possessions or really even understands that money is a finite resource. to her, these scams are a matter of ego. aang is also scamming for the thrill of the game. he loves a prank, a bit of mischief, getting into some tomfoolery. he loves spending time pulling hijinks with his friends. it’s funny, it’s fun, and it’s lucrative on top of that. but it’s clear that he views it as a game. now, sokka similarly enjoys pulling these scams. he adores toph and clearly finds it nearly as satisfying as she does to watch her destroy the egos of men thrice her size. but even more potent than his adoration for toph, is his appreciation for money.
when katara put them all in danger countless times in the past, it may have been to enact righteous justice, but it was never materially beneficial to sokka. sokka is a very practical person, and growing up in a state of colonial abjection taking on the role of provider for a couple dozen people mostly comprised of elderly women and small children makes you appreciate the value of goods and resources in a way that an aristocrat and a monk do not. you may be asking, "are you really arguing that sokka would undermine his own values and endanger himself and his friends so readily for the prospect of financial security?" to which i would argue that you underestimate how truly cynical sokka is. of course he loves money and food he doesn’t have to catch or forage – see: his appreciation for the immediate luxury of ba sing se that everyone else finds so stifling. he is not spiritual; he is attached to earthly possessions and the immediate physical needs of those around him. so of course he loves a material object. in his own words: “i do believe in the power of stuff.” because even when sokka is supposedly being uncharacteristically foolish or naive, he is in fact nonetheless promoting the cynic’s agenda every step of the way.
“the runaway” is a good episode, perhaps even a great one. however, it has also lent to some of the fundamental misinterpretations i see of katara, sokka, and toph that are constantly thrown around (including the occasional citing of this episode to justify that aang apparently “sees katara as his mother”). so in some ways, i do resent this episode for begetting those strange and incorrect takes, even if i think that in a vacuum, it is well-executed. it is an episode that complicates our characters, adds nuances and shades of grey to their pre-established characterizations, but does not actually rewrite them. sure, if this was the only episode of the show i had ever seen, i too might assume that katara was the maternal and responsible figure of the group, toph was a careless and rude little bitch, and aang and sokka were idiots who relied solely on katara’s infinite well of long-suffering guidance. but even within this episode, that is clearly not established to be the case, and if that notion is not sufficiently undermined by the episode’s conclusion, it is quite clearly by the episodes bracketing it, which provide crucial context through which to inform our understandings of the choices made in this episode, and why they are indeed interesting, but nonetheless do not reflect the characterizations established in the series as a whole.

Takeaways from the Volume 9 Epilogue:
--
One thing I really like about Oscar’s ‘If there was anything I wish I could borrow from you…’ monologue is that it laid out/confirmed something I’ve always felt was a major aspect of Oscar’s dynamic with Ruby that I nonetheless feel a lot of the fandom has missed: That Oscar very much sees Ruby as a mentor and an example to follow, and how their dynamic is specifically a foil to what we saw between Ruby and Ozpin. That Ruby acts as a mentor and example to Oscar in the same way Ozpin was to Ruby, and that Ruby is a far BETTER mentor and example to Oscar than Ozpin ever was to her. Which, as an aside, is a dynamic I can’t help but feel a lot of people have been misinterpreting as ‘ship-teasing’ and is one of the main reasons I’ve simply never been able to see Oscar as any kind of viable love-interest to Ruby. Frankly the dynamic of ‘Ruby is the mentor and example to Oscar that Ozpin couldn’t be for her’ is simply so much more INTERESTING than any kind of romance could ever hope to be.
--
Even in animatic form, Winter basically going overdrive on the maiden powers was a sight to behold. And her own monologue had all the self-deprecation we were expecting. Our girl is clearly holding on by a thread and it’s going to be REAL interesting seeing how she reacts and adjusts to her sister not actually being dead. As in, I can imagine a situation where Winter tries to throw herself into a heroic sacrifice with the belief that Weiss would make a better Maiden than her.
Also, Winter’s monologue giving major focus to how Penny is super-super-dead-dead-and-definitely-not-coming-back-for-really-realsies, as she is talking to the sister who she ALSO believes is DEFINITELY also dead? Specifically with the words that Penny is gone, when Penny’s last words to her were that she’d be ‘part of you’?
Yeah, there is no way in hell we’ve seen the last of Penny XD
--
The CROWN. Like it was only a few shots, but as someone who read the CFVY Books (which you totally should if you haven’t, they’re great), holy shit I was NOT expecting them to pop up here.
I mean, in hindsight it makes perfect sense that they’d be involved in Volume 10. They’re basically Vacuo’s equivalent to Vale’s criminal element and the White Fang splinter faction as Salem’s co-opted insurgency group, with Jax and Gillian joining Roman, Adam and Jacques as the latest of Salem’s unwitting patsies. It’s definitely going to be real interesting seeing the crew deal with them. Like it’s really fun to imagine Team RWBY in particular being kind of exasperated at seeing Jax’s probably doing a whole ‘With Salem’s help I shall be King!’ shtick after everything they’ve seen with Roman, Adam and Jacques.
Oh and if you don’t know, Jax has a mind-control semblance, so him trying to use that on Yang could actually lead to a sneaky callback to the Justice League crossover, ie; Yang doing a ‘Yeah, I’m not doing THAT shit again.’ XD
--
Qrow’s whole vibe through this is fascinating. Like his section may have been the one we already saw, but after seeing the abject depression and growing despair of all the other characters, Qrow actually being OPTIMISTIC hit so much harder.
--
Raven showing up at the end is… interesting.
I’ll admit that ever since we saw that specific clip a few months back, I’ve been rather conflicts about Raven showing up to deliver RWBY+J to Vacuo, particularly after Ruby’s tree vision. Like for one it felt a bit random and unnecessary. The tree already deposited the Ever After team outside of Vacuo so they didn’t exactly need help getting there. Not to mention that it kind of clotheslines the story-thread set up by Ruby’s vision; that she now has a reason to track Raven down to get the ANSWERS to what happened to Summer. Finally, it’s just kind of… random? Like where did Raven even come from to get the team?
But now having seen the clip with its intended context, I’m definitely more on board with it. Particularly hearing from Kerry and Eddy that the original ending for the penultimate episode had RWBY+J going through the portal to arrive at their memorial stone, and met by a ‘Mysterious Figure’, ie; Raven. Here it feels like were getting more set up to get answers later as to what Raven was doing at the memorial.
And really, now that I’ve thought about it more, this method kind of puts the thread of Ruby going to Raven for answers even MORE into focus. Like the story reintroduces Raven in the present right after Ruby got a vision basically saying ‘hey, Raven is important’. And now going into Volume 10, we’re pretty much perfectly positioned for Ruby to pull Raven aside for those all-important ‘Why were you fucking my mom? What happened to my mom?’ questions.
--
Finally… yeah that ending hit me a LOT harder than I was expecting. Like that ending was HOPE in its purest form and it was honestly beautiful to see. Particularly right now with the future of the show seeming so uncertain. I’ve personally been optimistic about RWBY’s future (in a manner not unlike Qrow’s vibes I suppose lol), but damn the hopefulness of that ending hit especially hard, and was something I’ll admit I needed. And I imagine the rest of us could use as well.
We'll be getting Volume 10. And 11, and 12, and however many more it takes to finish this story. At this point, I have no doubt of that.

Could you do a story where a guard of a Supermax prison befriends a supervillain, because he treats him like a genuine human being instead of an animal; and later, all the power-dampeners suddenly fail; and all these villains just revolt against the guards; but supervillain makes sure he’s safe since he was always kind to him?
Love Ur writing!!
aaaaaaa this was such a fun idea - im absolutely in love with this lil dynamic!! hope you enjoy reading as much as i did writing it :D
-
tw blood, death
Animals. That’s all the agency ever saw the villains as. Animals they could poke and push and test and break into nothing.
So when the jail’s power-dampeners fail, the villains are more than happy to make like the tigers are out of their cage.
The villain to the supervillain’s right is burning the lock on his cell door. The villain on his left has fazed straight through hers. The supervillain steps up to the iron bars across his own cell to look beyond.
VIllains are flooding the corridor, breaking for the stairs one by one. “You,” he snaps as someone passes, and they thankfully slow down. “Open the door.”
Escape might be tantalising, if the villain’s quick glance to the stairs is anything to go by, but no villain ignores a supervillain. They rest their hands against the door for a moment, their brow knitted in concentration for a moment, before the lock clunks open.
They pull the door outward as the supervillain steps into the corridor, waiting impatiently. “Thank you,” the supervillain says shortly.
The villain wastes no time continuing their great escape, chasing the tails of the other villains. Golden light flashes against the walls of the stairwell like fireworks, panicked shouting drifting from above, dull thumping as inevitable bodies hit the floor. The superhero strolls up the steps to take in the carnage the villains are wreaking on the pristine agency.
Gunfire showers the corridor in the light of heaven itself. Agency guards are backed up against the one exit. Most of the villains have already pushed past them into the room beyond, but those who haven’t are springing on them from all directions with fire or ice or electricity or nothing but hatred.
He can see someone familiar through the chaos, the eye of the storm. His gun sprays death, his face twisted into a mix of anger and fear, his eyes set on the villain currently making her way towards him with palms of steaming water.
Almost all of the villains have passed through. Most guards are either lying in a puddle of crimson blood or following the flock into the next room. There’s two of them—his Favourite, and someone he couldn’t care less about.
The villain’s water flicks from her fingers and sprays the guard, earning a pained cry and a cringe away from her. His attention falls to the scalding cutting through his skin, and in one fatal move the villain swipes the gun from his hands.
The supervillain doesn’t have time to intervene. The other guard swings his weapon to the villain, and with a flash of golden light she drops to the ground. The gun clatters to the floor with her.
The two of them heave a breath like they’re free, and the supervillain sees his chance. He sweeps up the gun from the floor, shouldering his Favourite out of the way, before turning it on the other guard and opening fire. The force of the bullets shove the guard into the wall behind him, and his descent to the floor is accompanied by a nauseating streak of red.
The supervillain turns his gaze to the last guard, his Favourite, the one who helped him from the day he got here. The one who saw past the animals and saw a person.
The guard returns his gaze with abject horror, defenceless, trapped. His eyes are wide, his back pressed into the wall, his mouth working in a desperate attempt at what is probably a beg for mercy.
The supervillain doesn’t waste time. He doesn’t have any. He grabs the guard’s arm, earning a startled squeak, tucking the gun under his arm. He can see the burns left on the man’s arm from the villain’s attack; small but undoubtedly painful. He lays a hand over them and the guard hisses and pulls in his grip, whether in pain or fear of pain he can’t tell.
His hand is cool—he can tell from the way the guard relaxes in his hold after a moment. The supervillain holds down a pleased smile. “That’s it,” he says smoothly. “Is that better?”
He lets go and the guard tips his gaze to his skin, unblemished and unharmed. Like the water never touched him at all. His mouth opens. Closes. His brow creases.
“Your power…” he tries after a moment, confused, “they never figured it out. They thought you’d have something violent.”
The supervillain throws him a smile, unhidden this time. “They never expected a healer at the head of evil, did they?”
The supervillain drags him along, following the path of bloodshed like a map. Some villains are still loitering—one of them slinks up to the pair with a grin. They inspect the guard closely for a moment before running the edge of their knife across his jaw in thought. He tries to shrink away but the supervillain’s grip on him holds fast.
“Oh, isn’t this one pretty?” the villain purrs. They give the blade a flick for emphasis, and the guard flinches as the edge cuts a crimson line into his cheek. “Can’t wait to show the agency what happens to good little boys like him.”
“No one touches him, understand?” the supervillain snaps coldly. “He’s with us.”
The villain scowls, clearly unsatisfied with his answer. “Oh, we keepin’ pets now, boss?”
“We don’t keep pets, [Villain].” His gaze turns to the guard for a moment, a touch softer, almost thankful. “They’re not animals.”

conformity in stranger things
(as we see it through the characters of steve, dustin and eddie)
dustin meets steve while steve is already heading down his own path — he’s leaving behind ideas about high school and relationships, and figuring out who he is without them.
steve, by season two, had already become disillusioned with the idea of high school, and power struggles, and being the most popular guy in school. which is why he doesn’t react to billy’s taunts.
despite what the fandom may have you believe, steve’s seasons long arc about his struggle with conforming to the person people expect him to be is done.
don’t get me wrong, steve is still hanging onto some ideas in s2, like pretending you don’t care to get girls, and seeing nancy as different to all his other girlfriends (though i personally think that speaks more to steve’s prior relationships than the way he views woman).
and so, dustin and their friendship play a major role in steve fully moving on from the concept of ‘conforming’. steve doesn’t want to change who he is to get people to like him, or love him!
and with dustin, he doesn’t!!!
they make up dorky handshakes, and give each other advice. they talk about girls and steve teaches him how to achieve his signature hairstyle.
their relationship impacts both boys, but neither of them are conforming. it’s pretty much the exact opposite!!! despite what some fans would have you believe steve and dustin have a positive impact on each other!!!
dustin doesn’t change who he is to impress steve! he’s just as dorky as before, and in fact imparts some of that dorkiness onto steve!! steve and dustin help each other to find who they are, and figure themselves out.
on the other hand.
eddie had a negative impact on dustin.
dustin in s3 is dorky. he likes science, and school, and building great big radio towers up hills.
dustin in s4 is failing classes, treating friends like shit, his hubris is at an all time high; all aided by eddie’s high opinion of himself and ideas about conforming.
see. when eddie talks about conforming, he doesn’t really understand what he’s talking about (which is why his fans don’t either).
when he criticised people for ‘conforming’, all he’s really talking about is people being interested in things he doesn’t like. parties. band. science. basketball. he looks down on them all.
he makes snap judgments, and reduces them down to stereotypes. we literally watch him learn this on screen!!!
we literally watch as he verbally recognises that he knew nothing about steve, and yet reduced him down to his interest in basketball.
and here’s where the irony comes in. eddie is literally leading the club on conformity.
everyone in hellfire wears the exact same thing, and he makes fun of the clothes they used to wear. he seats himself on a thrown, and judges anyone that wishes to come before him before he deems them worthy to play a game. he’s not accepting all losers. he’s literally telling them they’re lesser than as he stands on tables in the cafeteria, and then fights against erica playing with them… just because he thinks she has to prove herself to him first.
that’s the point of eddie’s character!! that his whole big speech at the beginning of the season is wrong. and we literally see how he’s wrong scenes later when eddie interacts with chrissy.
people watch eddie learn and grow as a person, and then reduce his character right back down to who he was when he was first introduced.
tl;dr — if one of dustin’s relationships is about conformity, it’s his friendship with eddie, not steve. his brother dynamic with steve is about the complete opposite. about reaching across dumb nerd v jock social divides and finding a family.
in looking up to eddie, dustin has let his other interests fall to the wayside. he’s snarkier, makes fun of steve more (just like he’s been watching eddie mock jocks for months), his friendships with the rest of the party are at an all time low.
and yet. some people would have me believe this is dustin’s truest self? who gets his mormon girlfriend to hack into his school because he’s failing latin. who mocks steve for ‘wanting to be a hero’ when just the season before he was prepared to die by steve’s side.

ROUND FOUR
ROCK LEE vs HATAKE KAKASHI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reasons for submission under the cut
Lee
ROCK LEE VS GAARA
kind as can be; willing to jump to action to help his fellow comrades even after going through a life-threatening, major surgery
practical and fashion-forward with his bright green onesie. Function over form, and is prepared at all times by carrying around a spare onesie he will give without question to anyone - even complete strangers
has a surprising edge to him at the beginning of the series; he was ready to severely maim anybody that he saw as a genius
more dedicated than anyone. Was forced to face his own mortality and make a life-or-death decision in the name of his dream, after a literal crushing defeat, and he chose to fight for it. Inspiring
embodies the ideals of original series Naruto. True underdog, had nothing going for him, came from nothing with no legacy or powers, was so disadvantaged that he physically could not meet the bare minimum abilities of his peers. But he worked harder than everyone else and proved that he can be a great shinobi despite all the adversity he faced
Sasuke had to copy Lee’s moves with his Sharingan to succeed during Chuunin exams
cute as a button. Come on.
his fans are dedicated and make amazing work, fanart and fanfic
Kishimoto said he was his favorite character to draw. Boom. Favoritism. Love to see it.
pairs well with everyone. Platonic or romantic, Lee has a great dynamic with other characters
his summer outfit from Guardian of the Crescent Moon Kingdom was the best outfit in the movie
gave us Metal Lee! Blessed us with Metal Lee, really
was the character to beat in the early series if you wanted to show how strong you actually are
Gaara vs Rock Lee was one of the most iconic fights in the series, and everyone remembers where they were when they first saw Lee drop his weights. He owned that fight so hard that people forget he lost.
was wronged by the series. He deserves to win as justice.
got [submitter] personally through the worst times; his ability to persevere face of adversity convinced me I could do it too. He wasn’t special and neither was [submitter], but we didn’t need to be. We can make ourselves great. If no one else got me, Rock Lee’s got me
he’s one of the first non-jutsu using ninja so make such a big impact
was the first person to actually harm Gaara
played a huge part in Gaara becoming a better person
he’s one of the only people that can catch up to Sasuke and easily rivals Naruto in Taijutsu
his kind, determined and cheerful attitude is a joy to watch
Rock Lee removing his weights is easily one of the most iconic moments in the entire anime
has helped several submitters feel better by simply thinking about how he wouldn’t want them to think like that
objectively would’ve made a better protagonist based on the themes alone
KICKS MAJOR ASS
wrecked Sasukes shit, I like Sasuke but that was really funny
he looks like a frog. Who doesn’t like frogs
inspired Sasuke
fights are always entertaining, they’re very well choreographed
he forgave Gaara for nearly killing him and nearly ending his dreams; he was never even mad at him
Rock Lee vs Sasuke was iconic
his heart is so full of love
never did anything wrong
had a squirrel befriend him
hard worker
good friend
rises to any challenge
when he does diss people they are the most brutal yet entertaining disses you ever hear
positive, weirdo, energetic, enthusiastic, joyful, chivalrous, motivated, dedicated, sweet
Lee and Neji had something homosexual going on
YOUTH !!!!
Kakashi
relatable as an adult
he is just an overworked guy who was told to watch some kids w LOTS of issues
needs therapy
good presence and guidance in Narutos life
interesting
cares about and is dedicated to his students very much
he is just cool
he is trying his best despite what he has been through in the past
is up for having fun but still knows when to be serious
was a narcissistic shit but grew out of it
has good intentions
sexy
wonderfully complex and well developed character
incredibly resilient and supportive
a sad and deeply broken man
always willing to give his life to protect them and his other precious people
just wanted everything to be ok for once in his life
hated Danzo
his friendship with Gai is adorable
the way he teases Tenzo is fun
he’s known as cool and aloof but in reality he’s a huge dork
Gai would want him to win
