After much deliberation, I have realized that I don't need so many "who is your divine father" tests? but rather, a test like "which god would your character be paired with?" because I like to add demigod children to the mix and do crossovers. For example, a typical Cullen-comes-back-years-later fic… if Bella had had some demigod child, who would she be with? The truth is that it depends a lot on each person's favorite god and their version of Bella. In the case of Marvel, it would be fun if it wasn't Tony Stark, but Pepper who had a demigod son. I'd lean towards Poseidon, because it would be fun if the Avengers expected a mini-duplicate Potts and he turned out to be a sarcastic, problematic boy or girl. And what about 911, which I have also thought about a lot? Sure, it was most likely Buck who had a little mongrel running around, (I have some ideas with an Iris daughter, or a fem-Percy Jackson) but it is canon that Kayla Knowles is Apollo's daughter and has a father mortal. An older, adult daughter of Bobby's would also be interesting. Maybe Athena, or, I don't know why, Demeter I do have an idea of a daughter of Demeter with Kyle Harmon, the son of Horatio Caine from CSI Miami Or a demigod in Teen Wolf. I have a lot of ideas about demigods here and you can ask me: -A daughter of Hades with Victoria Argent, Anastasia Argent, good relationship with the family, Chris knows that she is not her daughter but he loves her just the same, small that she pretends to be macabre but she is adorable. -Twin sons of Apollo and Braeden -A daughter of Ares and Kate Argent, fierce, stubborn, who hates her mother very much. -A little girl also from Kate, daughter of Zeus, Sapphire, younger than Allison, somewhat shy, sweet, but very mature -Cora returns to Beacon Hills with a wolf cub, her two-year-old daughter Eliana, daughter of Apollo. -A daughter of Athena, Olivia McCall, daughter of Rafael McCall

49 (last time it was 46 but i feel like that isn't enough of a difference? disappointed in myself dfhskjh)

1,119,086 which does include some co-writes, but I also have around 200k of unposted WIP in my google docs so i'm counting it (including a fully written fic - someone put their hands around my neck and force me to edit it PLEASE).

i try my absolute best to. i am currently really behind and i apologise for that (the problem is, i reply to comments before i post anything and i haven't posted anything in ages).

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

serious answer - Contaminated

my answer - oh baby i'm a fool for you because we never find out if they actually watch twilight and that's a damn shame

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

literally everything else - i don't really do open endings or sad endings! in the words of the great philosopher, skepta: "nah, that's not me."

8. Do you get hate on fics?

i used to, but i haven't in ages! thank god for that.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

yes, although i have to say i've been moving away from pwp lately. i feel my best smut is written into longer fics where the sex serves a plot or characterisation purpose within the frame of the overarching narrative.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

yes, a RWRB/LS but i never finished it. ALTA is a veronica mars inspired tarlos fic which kind of feels like a crossover at times.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not to my knowledge :)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

yes! Phonography (Lone Star) has been translated, as has Baby, Make Your Move (Lone Star) and Warm Whispers (Lone Star). I'm very grateful to the incredible people who have made these translations happen - you are so talented.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

yes, many with @dustratcentral. I also wrote a chapter of a co-written fic with a whole bunch of incredible RWRB authors called never the same twice.

@rmd-writes and I have created (Un)Professional Services and (upcoming) Call Me (By Your Name).

The Rainbow Fish was co-written with @strandnreyes.

I love co-writing so much and I am always open to anyone who wants to give it a go!

probably the aforementioned crossover which was apparently also my answer last time.

i'm allergic to giving myself compliments but i would say maybe dialogue/banter and worldbuilding.

keeping things short. also, exposition.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

kinda scared to because i don't speak any other languages and i'm so hesitant to annoy my very talented multi-lingual friends with my annoying questions.

Under the cut, you'll find the list of fandoms that Lokitty writes for (or previously wrote for). The link will take you to a second masterlist of character x reader ships. This is where it can get tricky:

reader lists are lists which have character x reader works

specific!reader lists are lists which have character x reader works where the reader's relation to the character is more specified (ex. daughter!reader, student!reader, etc.)

all readers lists are lists which have character x reader and character x specific!reader works.

NOTE: Characters that have all readers lists will NOT have reader and specific!reader lists. all readers lists contain all the works for that character and are sorted by relation. What list a character has is entirely dependent on the number and type of works Lokitty has written.

From there, you can pick the character-reader relation, open the list link, and find all the fics you're looking for! If you're confused, play around with the links. You'll find what you're looking for.

If you're looking for crossover fics, pick one of the fandoms in the crossover. At the end of that list there is a Crossover Works link. You should be able to find the fic there.

other important notes:

some lists are short and list all the characters and their works without having extra links. These are easy to navigate.

reader traits such as male!reader and autistic!reader are listed next to the fic title and DO NOT have seprate lists.

all fics are (generally) listed from oldest to newest.

I tried my best to sort out all the crossover works, but this was already a huge project and some probably slipped through the cracks. I sorted everything to the best of my abilities, but it would have been impossible to read through every single work (and I'm unfamiliar with most of these fandoms). If you find a fic that isn't where it belongs or is missing lables/ wrong labels, please message me to let me know.

i'm not really in the business of writing angsty endings, but i guess i sometimes write "open" endings for codas, in the sense that there's no resolution or get together because i'm keeping it canon compliant. the angstiest is probably when the weight we carry breaks us, simply because of eddie's state of mind just pre-breakdown

what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i've written so many incredibly sappy endings, i can't give a definite answer to this sdjgskj

do you get hate on fics?

not really. i've gotten a negative comment or two before but i guess you can't make everyone happy

With just over a day left to sign up as a creator for Fandom Trumps Hate 2023, here's a quick roundup of all of the numbers:

We have 705 offers by 527 creators (I've had to update this three times while writing this post!). Of those, 97 are offering to work in ANY fandom! The rest have signed up offering fanworks in 273 fandoms, including 177 write-in fandoms! (To compare that with roughly the same time last year, as we approached 24 hours left to sign up for FTH2022 we had 680 offers from 525 creators in 257 fandoms including 153 write-ins … meaning we have 23 more offers in 16 more fandoms by the same number of creators for 2023 … SO FAR.)

A look at the offers, broken down by type (with last year's numbers in italics for comparison purposes) -

The orgs selected least often are The Appeal, Razom, and Violence Policy Center.

In our listed fandoms Good Omens has increased its lead and its lock on the top spot. MCU caught up with Sherlock and Teen Wolf for a brief 3-way tie for 4th place behind HP and K-pop, but has since gained an additional signup to claim that spot, leaving Sherlock and Teen Wolf tied for fifth ahead of Star Wars, Stranger things, SVSSS, The Untamed, and The Sandman.

i have a couple with an ambiguous ending where somebody's getting hurt no matter what happens - we weren't perfect and hold me like i was forgiven both fit that category. you could argue that high is the angstiest though, because it ends in the same place it started. all the same ship. tknp angsty mess my beloved 😍

oh, i have a lot. the great pigtail emergency and why not me come to mind.

i've gotten some weird comments but nothing too vitriolic. you can't write rpf without getting some weird shit.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes! I always try to, as it's just the nice thing to do for someone who has taken the time to comment

I have a coffee shop AU half planned out. I keep going to write and never start.

Grammer and use of tense, I struggle with.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I would stuggle to, the dyslexic in me would avoid and worry about getting it horribly wrong.

27, 902 in total across both accounts. wow, never added the word counts together. that's a lot!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

911: Lone Star, The Old Guard. really want to dive into Red, White, and Royal Blue and maybe even Shadowhunters.

I do. pretty much to all of them because people took the time to comment something really nice and i want to respect that by acknowledging it. also, as someone who comments on other people's fics, it's really cool to get that notification that a fic author has replied to your comment.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This dialogue-heavy one in between seasons 1 and 2. it's a phone conversation between Carlos and TK. COVID restrictions have just lifted so TK creates game night. It's called do you want to play a game? which i think is a title that sounds more sexy than what occurs in this fic, lol so sorry if that's a disappointment. I have on my other account. I was always obsessed with the fact that David Borenaz joined Bones immediately after Angel ended and so I had started writing a fic where Booth is actually Angel after he's become human because of the Shanshu prophecy. The brain tumor in season 4 is that catalyst that unearths his memories as Angel.

god i don't know. i feel like i go through phases of intensely loving a ship. i guess one that has stayed with me for a really long time is Magnus and Alec from Shadowhunters. but i love a lot of ships.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

that previously mentioned Bones/Angel crossover, lol

16. What are your writing strengths?

i used to think it was dialogue -- at least when i was writing scripts a lot. but during this new wave of writing i've been doing i think it's been internal thought processes of characters. Mostly that carlos in the loft fic im super proud of, lol

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Staying in the correct tense! i feel like this shouldn't be an issue. just pick a tense and stay in it. you did 4 years of writing workshops in college, why are you still struggling with this!! (if anyone has any tips about this, please tell them to me lolll)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Oooh, good question. I wouldn't do it unless it was 100 percent correct. which means having someone who speaks the language look it over. otherwise i think the best course of action is to just write the dialogue in your native language and then in the description say it was a different language.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

First published work was Angel. but fun fact: i actually think my very first fan fic i wrote was a Twilight fan fic in middle school. middle school is when i first discovered fan fiction and also the time i was reading twilight. i think it was a story from Mike's perspective. i never published it because i could not figure out how to publish -- ff.net's story submission was not working for me for some reason so i gave up. the angel fic wasn't posted until 2015 so there was a large gap there.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

It's this Carlos fic about moving into the loft. I just think it's got a great haunted vibe but also my goal was to use more metaphors and poetry and i think i accomplished that.

hi there what are your favorite ships in different fandoms and how did you found out about them and why did you fell for this ships

Okay, so let me think…

Going back to my Twilight days, even though I’d love to forget, I have to say that I’ve always been into Jasper with anyone—mainly because he’s got some issues, and between his struggles with control and his empathic abilities, writing him was always so fun. And weirdly, my favorite pairing for him actually was a crossover. I liked him with Harry Potter, female or male Harry, both were great.

In Torchwood, I shipped Ianto and Jack because they were perfect together, and you can’t convince me otherwise. Though… my favorite ship might actually be Owen/Ianto, as I love the combination and the potential for enemies to lovers. Owen is just so crass and abrasive but such a softy underneath. Also, he is a doctor, so great for hurt/comfort tropes. And Ianto paired with him, with the way he could sass and annoy Owen, but also, damn, Ianto was hurting in so many ways, and both Owen and Ianto had experienced such loss, losing people they loved. So yeah, I loved bringing them together. 

Sherlock, I think I always shipped John and Sherlock, as they were just so great together, though I could be particular with how they were written. I have exactly one fic for that fandom, but I did love it. 

Harry Potter, oh what a fandom and so many mixed feelings. Let’s see, generally, I think I ship Hermione and Sirius or Hermione and Remus the most? Though that said, speaking crossover fics? I tend to like a lot of things, usually ones that are mixes of MCU and HP, especially soulmate fics. I have written a Sam Wilson/Harry Potter that I actually adore.

Sandman is very easy, I love Dream/Hob, and I have no reasons other than they offer so many possible takes, though I have yet to write them. And I am pretty drawn to The Corinthian/Dream/Hob, too, so yeah, that’s something I’m pretty into also.

Then we have the MCU, and that is pretty much fair game, though Brock Rumlow and Jack Rollins are two of my favs, especially when it’s softer than you expect. I love Brock/Darcy with a passion. So good and worth reading some if you haven’t. I have written one for them already. Then I think Steve/Bucky/Tony is my other standby favorite, as that ship doesn’t make me choose. Oh, and Steve/Clint is undervalued, and more people need to get into that—though I enjoy the more comic take of Clint with Steve, where Clint is a hot mess of a dumpster fire. 

Oh, and Supernatural, I actually gasp never liked Destiel! Sorry, it never clicked for me. Instead, I ended up shipping Sam with Lucifer, idk. Apparently, my brain is dysfunctional, and I didn’t really care who Dean was with.

And for The Old Guard, which I have written one ficlet for, I will say that I love Joe and Nicky with my whole damned heart. Like, damn those two for being such romantic saps. Like how could anyone listen to Joe wax poetic about Nicky for 2 minutes straight before kissing him like he didn’t need air and not love them? 

And then, finally, we get to 911, which all canon ships I adore. How can you not? This damn show owns my heart. But Buck/Eddie are definitely the ring leaders, rulers, the ones holding fucking court over all the other pairings right now. Like those two idiots with their single brain cell bouncing around between them, like shit, how can you not them? Buck is a mess, and Eddie is his fucking person, his home, his safe place to rest and hide from the world. And I think Buck is, in some ways, the purpose and the compass that Eddie needs to stay moving forward and not get lost in the storm.

And back to work on my normal fic rotation unless Seguir gets a semi-sequel from Reyes POV but we’re going to keep that plot bunny under lock and key until hopefully the next chapter of this is done. 

Finally getting off the Eddie Diaz angst train.....

From Ch 4 Steve POV, Family, Familia, ‘Ohana. H50/911 Crossover, Navy Seal Evan “Buck” Buckley, Buddie, McDanno, borrowed SWAT characters. 

Fic Summary: When one family seems lost another comes back from the past. But does Buck want to return to the past or live in the present? And does his present lead to a future he wants? Only he can answer these questions but Steve at least will be there to support him.

Warnings: first draft. 

He’d gotten another hour’s sleep before his internal alarm clock told him it was time to get up.  Quickly changing into his board shorts, he fastened his watch onto his wrist that doubled as a heart rate monitor and distance tracker.  Steve made a note that he’d need to get Buck one if he joined him on the regular. 

Softly padding down the stairs, he smiled as he saw Danny’s ruffled hair sticking up every which way from how he’d slumped into the arm of the couch, the grey predawn twilight lighting the room through the lanai doors along with the glow of the television.  Buck was curled into his chest, Danny’s hands still tangled in his hair as he slept. Approaching the sofa, Steve let his fingers rest next to Buck’s temple and stroked lightly in the same signal he used on missions to wake him, 

Buck’s blue eyes opened to slits but he didn’t move until he identified Steve standing over him. Old ingrained habits were hard to break. 

“Swim?” Steve whispered and got a minuscule nod after a moment. 

Wiggling this way and that, Buck extracted himself from Danny’s hold—somehow not waking the other man. Curling forward to stand, Danny made a noise in his sleep and rolled over to face the back of the couch as Buck stood. Turning to look at Danny with Steve, they exchanged amused grins. Danno was cute when he was asleep Steve idly thought as he pulled the blankets more firmly around Danny’s smaller form. 

Handing Buck a spare pair of board shorts, Steve waited for him as he changed before they headed to the beach.  Buck’s steps became dragging as they got closer to the water. “Are you okay?” Steve asked patiently.  “You only need to do this if you want to.”

Frowning at the dark water, Buck stretched his arms out in front of him and then towards the sky, eyes focused on the waves that were close to low tide mark  Steve couldn’t tell if he was stalling or if he needed the extra stretching before exercise due to his recent injuries. “Buck?”

“I need to do this,” was the answer and Buck strode into the next wave, yelping as the water splashed on him. “Colder than I thought it was going to be,” he groused back to Steve.

Laughing, Steve hit the start button to record his workout. “We’ll go out to the point and back but you’ll need to let me know if you’re getting too tired since it’s been a while.”

“I’ll be fine,” Buck insisted as he moved slightly deeper and then ducked down into an oncoming wave to get his face and hair wet. “Brrr...”

Walking into the water himself, he didn’t find the water all that cold but it was refreshing. This was the best way to start out the day—Danno didn’t know what he was missing.  “Either way—if you start tiring you let me know. This way.”

Entering the water, he took a few strokes further from shore. Buck followed him and soon they were angling away from his house and out into deeper water. Settling into a regular rhythm, Steve lingered back far enough that Buck was alongside him and closer to shore. Buck did struggle a bit until they got going and he seemed to settle instead of fight the waves like he had with the first few when the water had hit his face. 

The steady rhythm of strokes and the flutter of their kicks propelled them along as they traveled parallel to shore. As they approached the point, the current became slightly more treacherous but Buck shook it off and even pulled ahead a bit to set a fast pace. Buck seemed tireless, putting his face in the water and propelling himself forward at a good clip to remind Steve that Buck had been only a few fractions of a second behind some of the lap records during his time on Steve’s team. 

Reaching the turn back spot, They paused just briefly for Steve to check on Buck before heading back.  Knowing where he was going seemed to spur Buck on and he began to make Steve work to keep up.
