this is such a nostalgic read for me, and honestly i don't think i have the words to express it. this fic is like a warm hug, one that gets you all mushy and teary-eyed with emotion. unironically in the top 3 fics i recommend to all my army friends,,,

summary:

jeongguk stares. at—himself. as a sixteen-year-old. he’s got—black hair, just as fluffy and terribly dishevelled as it’s always been in the morning, and there’s baby fat on his cheeks, and there are gauges in his ears, and he’s staring with those wide wide eyes that jeongguk knows, that jeongguk has—this jeongguk. and also that jeongguk.

they stare at each other for an inordinate amount of time, it feels—that jeongguk with a tea cup in his hand and a massive white t-shirt on. and jeongguk had just assumed that if this was a dream, he would be the only jeongguk. and if this wasn’t a dream and he’d somehow ended up here for real, he would have switched places with himself or just turned up in the other’s place.

but. that’s clearly not the case.

“um,” says jeongguk, this jeongguk. “hello?”

and jeongguk—that jeongguk—screams.

Self-Rec Game!

Hey! I was tagged by the lovely @flowerwrites06 to do this little game where you recommend some of your own works. It’s really easy to self-doubt and think your works aren’t very good. I have a few that come to mind and that are special to me.

Baby Blue (Minjoon), CEO!Au, Sugarbaby!au: Omg, Baby Blue really is my baby. It was the first piece I’d written that I felt was actually good. Jimin is a sugar baby who recently had to break up with his “boyfriend” and is in need of a new ‘daddy’ immediately. In walks anxiety-ridden, socially-awkward but very dirty-minded Kim Namjoon, the son of a wealthy family and business owner on top of working at fortune five-hundred company Gemstone. Jimin is given a contract with a strict set of rules, but as he grows closer to Namjoon, those rules eventually disappear and love blossoms. Of course, Namjoon’s main fixation is sex and anything to do with it, which includes bdsm. I think this was the first time I’d properly researched BDSM, since I wanted to be as true to it as possible, and I loved it.

Thank You, Hyung (Minjoon) (Idol!au): My first minjoon smut will always be close to my heart. It’s pretty self-explanatory: Jimin walks in on Namjoon jerking off and decides to help him out...and every time after that. Namjoon eventually catches feelings and worries his relationship with Jimin is solely sexual. Of course, since it’s me, Jimin assures him that it’s not.

One Night (Yoonkook) CEO!au: This one is almost an exact retelling of A Christmas Carol, done for a holiday event that was going on that month. It made me cry multiple times while writing is. Yoongi is Scrooge, a morose young man who hates Christmas and love money. His life, however, is changed when he meets three ghosts: Jimin, the ghost of Christmas Past; Jin, the ghost of Christmas Present, and finally Namjoon, the ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Each one reminds Yoongi that friends and family are far more important, and how to heal from the trauma of his past. I really enjoyed writing this one (when it wasn’t making me sob like a baby).

Your Biggest Fan (Hoseok X Reader) college!au: My first plus-size reader fic. I’d done them before in other fandoms, but never for bts. You’re basically the runner of a nsfw blog and one night at a frat party run into Hoseok, a popular student and a huge fan of yours. It turns into a night you don’t forget. Very steamy. Very well done, imo.

Recommendation: I find this one difficult to quantify - it’s a lapslock vampire AU where Jungkook is a vampire that Yoongi meets at a blood bank. It’s a lot more than that? I love the intimate way that this writer talks about life and death and about the issues of immortality from people who never wanted immortality, just a little bit more time. i think it has some really beautiful imagery and if this is the kind of thing that interests you, I would recommend checking it out.

I found you through Flux when someone recommended me the fic on twitter and linked me to your AO3 years ago, then I searched your blog to find out if you're ever continuing it. I'm so curious to know why Yoongi left and if they're ever going to get back together. I love them so much and I really love Yoonkook's scenes together. I can't wait to see them again, but please take your time!
