Karasuno as element benders

This is inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender since I’ve been binge watching all the seasons.... hehe

Daichi would be an earthbender hands down. The way he grounds himself and the strength he has to pull together to ensure the team is positioned to win, on top of always sticking his stance, Daichi would make an excellent earthbender. In fact, he could probably be apart of an earthbending army and rank quite high in his position if he wanted to. He strikes as someone who is talented in earth shielding and rock bullets.

Sugawara would be a waterbender. In some ways, his nuturing and caring prescence gives me the impression that he and Katara would get along well. Though he might not posess any healing abilities, he has an artistic sense to create beautiful ice scuptures with his skills and tends to make quite the water bending instructor. However, he would specialize in healing, making sure that the resources of the tribe are fully equipped and physically healed for a battle or just day to day life.

Asahi would be a firebender as suprising as that may sound. He would be a late bloomer however, as some firebenders tend to bend with anger and fear, Asahi learned to bend by being provoked with protection. With a gentle, free flowing background, his flames spread in both warmth and burning sensations. With that, he’s able to redirect lightning, but not so much control it as others can. However, he has great skill in fire vortex attacks and combustion bending. Even he is sometimes shocked at how strong he actually is.

Nishinoya would be an earthbender. Like Daichi, his stands his ground and rooted to both himself and his surroundings. As the libero has to stay close to the ground and be ready to take up the most outragous saves, Nishinoya would make such a strong and sharp earthbender. He would probably learn his bending from the swamp and master it in the city (both ways would work). He’s also best friends with the cabbage man. Like for SURE.

Kinoshita would be an firebender. Specifically, he would have a knack for lighting strikes and have the ability to control the movements of electricity at the tips of his fingers. Though this does not occur often, when he does gain control, I think Kinoshita brings a lot of surprises in the battlefield. Like fire, he fumes bursts of energy where he can, but also remains his composure by heat control.

Narita would be a airbender. His movements are evasive yet free-flowing like air. I think he carries a particular sense calmness in his movements and poses a very meditative state when he is not attacking. He waits for the right moment, and builds up heaps of air to turn into energy and momentum before releasing. His intention is never quite to kill or harm, but rather create counter attacks that make the opponent imbalanced or miss their shots. He also has the ability to reach the spirit world, and occasionally goes back there to visit his spirit friends.

Ennoshita would be an earthbender. Although he has very air-like tendencies, he actually is able to navigate the air well through his earth levitation. Intuitive to the frequencies of the earth, he is able to curate mini earthquakes around the area, throwing the opponents off balance but also manipulate the status of the ground to be earth sinking as well. This way, enemies never get ear Ennoshita. The way he talks and carries himself is very much straight-forward and loyal, much like earth signs in general.

Kiyoko would be a waterbender. Kiyoko shows great versatility and flexibility in the way she carries herself. Just as much as she is steadfast and sharp minded, I think she would have great skill in deflecting in her attacks and maneuver focus on controls. She could ice creep a lot of people into freezing themselves into ice sculptures and create water brackets that could slice through. However, she doesn’t fight unless she has to. She much prefers to help Sugawara with healing. She may not realize it yet, but she also has a special skill in blood bending. Although, I can’t think of a case where she would need to use that as well.

Tanaka would be a lavabender. Unlike Asahi and Nishinoya, Takana’s quickwitted and explosive personality would lead him into both a grounding and heated bending technique. Tremendously strong--yes, but also just as firm in his attacks and thinking. His strength is rooted deep into the magmas of the earth but striking is haste and urgent like a wildfire.

Hinata would be a firebender. He’s a spitfire waiting to burst, and you even see it from his name, which means “sunny place”. Though he is quick to burst, that doesn’t mean his attacks strike as weak. He is certainly a fireball with lots of energy and has no problem creating large fumes of fire to defend from the enemy. He is youthful and young, much like the fire he creates. That also includes the occasional burns he gets from messing around as well. Hehe

Kageyama would be a waterbender. Much like water, his water flows controlled, stilled, yet thick. He is very conscious of how he formulates water in its three different bases (gas, solid, and liquids), therefore you might find him constantly practicing those techniques and perfecting it. You might find him often water whipping Hinata in the butt too~. However, I think his most prominent attacks are with ice, as it comes off to be physically striking and sharp, much like his mind. He is constantly analyzing how to manipulate water into multiple forms during battles.

Tsukishima would also be a waterbender. Like the series, I think Tsukishima would have ancestry with the Moon spirit in some form, and therefore, root from the Northern Water Tribe. Though he would be skilled in water attacks, I don’t think that would be where his greatest strength lies. I actually see him on the defensive lines if creating tidal waves, ice prisons, and steam to distract intruders. I certainly see him as a scholar, so I think occasionally he would practice healing on the low.

Yamaguchi would be an earthbender/metal bender. I definitely got it from his name, Yama meaning Mountain. But also, much like his personality to remain strong willed and become a pillar to his team, he is capable of so much strength. He has a natural talent with seismic sense, meaning he is able to sense the smallest vibrations of earth/metal and intuitively guess the surroundings. That’s why he’s able to create defenses that are critical. He would also eventually build the skill to metal bend.

Yachi would be an airbender. I would imagine that she would rarely have to go out to fight as most airbenders are quite peaceful and prefer to stay on high grounds and live a less violent life. She capable of making air funnels and wipes, while occasionally teaching kids how to make air balls to roam around the air temples. I think she strikes as someone who has a skill in flying! You often can find her gliding in the air next to a bison with a bunch of kids (she teaches the children how to fly).

What makes him melt (ft. Kuroo, Iwaizumi, Akaashi)

Kuroo Tetsurou

Kuroo is personally really attracted to people who have big brain energy! So if their crush happens to be reading a book out in the middle of campus or he catches them casually studying at a library, he’d instantly go soft. :) He really loves looking how concentrated and peaceful (sometimes) they look.

In fact, it makes him go crazy when he notices their crush having some kind of tick: pursing your lips together while you try to read, a soft tapping from your foot as you listen to music, palms rested on your chin as you concentrate, adjustments to your glasses or crossing your arms up in thought. He loves all that!

He also goes really soft when he sees how excited you look talking to your friends about something you’re really passionate about. The way your eyes instantly light up with glee as you try to explain to them why it’s important to practice composting and consume less plastic and reduce emissions/inputs (or something like that).

He loves to hear you talk. You’re not a talkative person yourself, but you can be when you’re discussing things that really matter to you. He’s such an engaging listener, the way your voice rings to his ears and how your grin takes over your face as you express your passion, it makes his heart just want to prance out of his chest.

A headcanon of the two of you in a museum, you’re fixated on the sights and excerpts of the exhibit, he’s walking behind you from a distance. As you study the artifact before you, he can’t help but just hold onto the moment of your curious, yet concentrated face.

Iwaizumi Hajime

For him, I could imagine his crush really working hard and putting themselves out there to make him melt. It could be something as simple as watching you teach the kids at your community center how to play volleyball, or the way you always rush over to help the elders at the center to clean their paint brushes.

Seeing his crush help and aid others will simply make him yearn for you more. Because despite his tough exterior, he’s actually quite the softie for affection and care. To see someone so thoughtful and pertain such hospitality would make him so curious to learn more about you and how you came to be such a caring person.

Like when the time you decided to stay back late and help his younger cousin put together a jumping frog origami because said cousin was so persistent about wanting to make sure it was “perfect”, he couldn’t help but smile at the scene of the two of you hunched over trying to make the frog leap.

He tries to also help you out. He knows you’re always busy running your own life and helping others, he wants to be there and support you as much as he can. But he’s also terribly shy, he doesn’t know how to. So when he takes forever to finish cleaning up the dishes and you’re rushing over to him shooing him away, he can’t help but blush over the fact that you’re just so resilient. It’s sexy to him.

Maybe it’s the way you nag? If his crush is constantly the one to be the mom/dad-friend and come off as agressively nurturing, Iwaizumi and his knees will go w e a k. Maybe it’s because he’s feels like that type of person within Seijoh’s team, so to see someone similar to him in that sense, would definitely fall for even harder.

Akaashi Keiji

What makes Akaashi soft for his crush is beyond what a typical person would find cute. It’s your clumsiness. For him, it’s the way you doze off and the way you eat. Something about the most mundane things people do in life, suddenly looks more amusing and heart throbbing when you’re the one to do it.

You could be literally snoring out loud in the subway with drool sticking out of your face and Akaashi Keiji would still find you cute. I think it could be the fact that he’s constantly dealt with Bokuto’s exaggerated form of sleeping and eating that he’s taken a liking to the way people’s sleeping and eating habits.

Nothing too weird though, but whenever he catches you dozing off in class, he instantly becomes soft by watching the way your head bobs around. Extremely funny to say the least, but at the same time he finds it adorable.

Or when you’re eating lunch at the cafeteria, the way you tend to stuff your entire mouth and take a million years to chew, he still finds it quite attractive. He secretly just wants to have a meal just so he could wipe off that crumb on your face. Or maybe he wants to be next to you on the subway and wait for you to fall asleep on his shoulder.

When he catches you tripping or falling, his heart tumbles as well. Ironically, he’s always there to be the one to catch you first (not that you mind anyways). Akaashi can’t really put a finger on it-- in fact, he loses sleep over it, because he just finds your clumsiness, your quirks so enticing.

camellias (ft. Kageyama Tobio)

angst

Like a dandelion swifting along the breeze, the scent of your hair and the presence of your figure grazed past Kageyama Tobio. He looked up. That moment alone was enough to halt everything around him, every person surrounded, every crunch in the fall leaves, and every voice he heard-- it just all seemed to seize the moment he caught you walking past him. In those few seconds, his heart began to creep into a deeper sensation, an overflowing mess of emotions unraveling right in front of him.

For some reason his memory had flashed to the very moment the two of you were walking arm in arms along this very pathway at the park. It was a hot summer evening at the annual Obon festival. Dressed beautifully in traditional yukatas and omen masks, Kageyama gripped your intertwined hands as the two of you sat on the bench, watching fireworks blast the night away. Not a moment to spare, one of you had taken eyes off the gleaming lights and instead focused on each other. He remembered, it was the first date, and that night, it was also the first kiss. It didn’t matter that the finale was happening right at that moment. In fact, that kiss alone was perhaps enough to set off even greater explosions and life right out of his beating chest.

In the spring where you had celebrated your first anniversary together, he sat along the bench reminiscing to that day where you had laid out a full picnic together after the spring interhigh tournament. It was a celebratory date, one to wish him the best for all the winnings. The two of you grinned and giggled as the two of you fought over the icing on that blueberry chiffon cake you had made for him (his favorite). He chased you around the field to the point where you both had tumbled onto the grass. He wrestled to top you and leaned in for a kiss, a moment of sweetness and tender.

Then, it was winter. In the midst of falling in love and balancing his busy volleyball life, somehow the year had trickled to this point. Right along the holidays, he found himself once again with you in his arms, walking along the pathway. This time with beaming christmas lights decorated around the park and trees. Like a gingerbread house waiting to be enjoyed, you and Tobio slowly looped around the park commenting and competing for the prettiest, most spiritiful tree. But after a long loop twice, he stopped his tracks and sat you down on the bench, waiting to finally tell you that no matter how much he tried to compare all these beautifully lit christmas lights, none was even close to compete with how wonderful you looked to him.

All those memories in this park, all the moments you had shared together, he was gradually reliving each of its own as he lingered his thoughts on longer. Not wanting to let go of the moment, a shakened and doleful Tobio sat on the same bench in the same park, and with the same heart, finally realizing how he had spent the last six years waiting for you, thinking of you, and in this very moment-- still very much in love with you. He thought about how at this point he would’ve wished for the two of you to be a family together and how he would have loved to take his kids along to the same park their parents had watched themselves fall deeper in love with each other. Even though he wanted to, he just couldn’t. You weren’t there anymore. Breathing in a deep breath of fresh air, Tobio closed his eyes and inhaled all his love for you. He exhaled, finally relieving himself of the past and eyes opened with a hesitation to start anew. Leaving the bouquet of camellias beside him, he stood up from his seat and began to drift away. A hint of flower petals tailed behind him as the wind began to pick up again.

A/N: hi, I know it’s definitely been a hot minute. I hope y’all didn’t mind I was MIA for a while. There’s just been a lot going on in my life right now and I needed to take a huge break from everything. I’m like-- back. But I’m also still busy. I’m motivated to write again, but also realized I really want to write for myself. :) So requests are still gonna be put off for a while, but I’ll be around. Domestic things (ft. Kita Shinsuke) | headcanon

u__u I know I have other requests I am currently working on but again, I love kita shinsuke. I can’t let this idea slip my head so *inhales* here GOES!

Moving Out

There really was not indication of how it happened. Kita knew he’d eventually would have to move out of Hyogo and into a more industralized city to further his education.

But he doesn’t want to move too far (he still wants to be able to visit his grandma), so he ventures out to Osaka.

To be honest, he doesn’t expect you move out with him. Kita is a reasonable man, a logical thinker. He wants you to prioritize your professional goals. but being the slightly emotional baby he can be, he does like to toy around the idea of living together with you.

You were actually the one that ignitiated the idea to move out with him! Of course you considered everything inbetween. At the time, it made sense, and really- you didn’t really have anything to lose moving out with him but Kita himself.

“Are you sure about this? I mean, is this really what you want?”

“Yes, suke. I think it’ll be an adventure! A further step in our relationship... but only if you’re okay with it too,” you meet his eyes

He wastes no time. He pulls out a notebook filled with blueprints of different apartments he had in mind and different listings availible

Moving In

Honestly, logical as he may be, he’s not nitpicky or tactical necessarily when it comes to these things either. He may be a persistent man (that’s how he won ya in the first place), but he’s easy going when it comes to you (he’s disciplined with himself that’s why).

So you end up picking the apartment and together, move out the following month.

Trips to IKEA are his favorite. He loves watching you try out all the new furniture. He even snaps photos of the items you both like and even secretly saved a pic of you pondering over some house appliances.

Kita does the unpacking, furniture assembling, cleaning.

You decorate, find sales, and stock up the fridge

The first night together, you both sat out on the balcony with no seatings, peering out for a view with hot yuzu tea and cut fruit together.

Domestic Kita!

One of his favorite spots in the apartment is definitely the kitchen and herb garden y’all set up. He does cook, but suprisingly, you both are really good are splitting up the work to cook/clean

He’s always looking for fresh produces so every weekend you both go to the Farmer’s market together to grocery shop

Loves coming home to you. Most of his life has always been a routine, a ritual. So starting and ending his routine with you in his life makes him feel so content and happy. :)

Finds comfort in the little things. The little notes you leave for each other on the fridge, nights you spend hanging out on the balcony, making dinner together...

Protested against getting a roomba, but now that Roomba-chan is ur pet...

Occasionally has the Miya Twins over for dinner. Its a ruckus at times, but he actually loves having company over.

80s date? (ft. Iwaizumi Hajime) | drabble

a drabble: zero proof reading, brain splatter, releasing my ideas before I forget, and most importantly, me living out my imagination ... I mean really it’s just a sloppy headcanon.. this feels more like a carnival date with hajime!!!

hi i HIGHLY recommend you listen to this while you read bc i literally was just vibing off this song .

Hajime would show up at your doorsteps in the evening. A colored windbreaker and loose carpenter jeans. You’d notice that his hair was gelled up just a tad (he was trying to impress you with a new hairstyle but failed miserably so it just resulted to him brushing his hair with gel lol)

Shyly hands you a handpicked flowers he found on the way picking you up. He fails to look at when he hands it to you, hoping you’d still accept the tiny daisies gripped on his hands.

Hajime would take you on a county fair date maybe? He didn’t want to make it awkward by taking you to the movies on the first date so he takes you to a place where you both can roam around, interact, and play games in case things ever do get awkward!

He forgets that he’s not competing his teammates at any point, but really this guy forgets to go “easy” on you and beats you in every game. hfjdsk he wins you plushies to make up for it though

at some point he’s going to ask you if its okay to hold hands. he’s blushing like a sun dried tomatoE!!

As the date progresses, he’ll get more comfortable, talk a lot more, passionately tell you about his recent obsession with the lochness monster

you guys get yelled at for being too loud in the mirror room

he may or may not have bumped into multiple mirrors and embarassed himself more than he anticipated to

You didnt know hajime could be this funny, but when you stopped for snacks he did the unthinkable.

“Hajime, loosen up, you’re being too stiff and nervous tonight” you laughed

“What do you mean” he grunts and proceeds to stick up corn dog sticks up his nose.

fhdjslfsjks he catches you snorting and he immediately breaks into a roar of laughter too. Honestly he can’t remember the last time he this much fun with someone other than his buddy oikawa!

as the sun begins to set, he takes you up the ferris wheel to enjoy the view together

munching on some churros of course

when you look out into the view you can see a lake that consumes the city landscape... the sunset reflects on it. And you look over to Hajime, smiling as you notice how much he’s relaxed and enjoying himself

he realizes how much he likes you... because you let him be himself and let loose. You really bring the best and sillest out of him. he loves that. Your magic ways make him really happy ;_;

fjdks; I just imagine some kind of intense make out at the end of the date where he really just enjoys your touch and your breath. Sloppy, tender, enticing, and steamy!!!

He’s still a gentleman nonetheless... he’ll walk you home, both of you worn out from all the fun.. he goes home replaying the entire date to himself, waiting for the next chance to take you out again. <3

Mischaracterization of Characters in Haikyuu

Don’t read this if you are not going to have an open mind about it. [Edited]

I am honestly sick and tired of characters being misrepresented here in the Haikyuu fandom. I’m not talking about minor headcanons etc, I’m talking about how more than half of the fandom have been mischaracterizing and diluting characters personalities, twisting them into something that is no way near their original intended character. Quite personally, this is probably one of the worst things you can do. So, right here, right now. I am going to go in depth of some of the most mischaracterized characters in Haikyuu based on my personal opinion.

This is in no way to hate on any of them, I love every single person in the anime, each for their own individual attributes that make them unique, here, I am merely stating blatant facts based of the manga and anime. So if you like this sort of thing, sit back and grab some motherfucking popcorn cause this is going to be a long-fucking rant.

- Oikawa -

Listen here. Oikawa is not a whiny crybaby who cries all the fucking time, he is probably the most mischaracterized character in the entire fandom. He’s a strong guy who is dedicated to the thing he loves and ensures his teammates can play to the best of their ability. I get that all of us one way or another have an inner sadist in ourselves that makes up enjoy watching our favourite characters suffer psychologically or physically. But when people perceive, write, draw Oikawa as a boy who cries over the smallest of thing, whines, and overall is a weak little shit, it gets very annoying and frustrating. You are diluting his character seriously, tarnishing his real personality and character. And because of that half of the fandom sees him as this weak dude who breaks down and cries over the tiniest and most minuscule of things?

Look at him, does this look like the face of someone who cries all the fucking time?

Let me say, Oikawa is bloody capable of destroying someone if he wishes. His serves are fucking powerful, and even Ushijima, one of the top spikers in the Miyagi prefecture, acknowledges that. So why do people characterize him as a selfish whiny asshole. You know very well this little ball of terror cares deeply for his teammates, not a self-centred asshole who asks Iwaizumi to bang his ass all the time. Also, why to some people whore him out? He isn’t that type of guy. Although I get that in various different contexts, the situation depends. But just so you know, canon Oikawa is very well a man of pride, I admit, he does whine, but to the extent of using emotional pity to get what he wants is just so out of character.

I love Oikawa, probably as much as I love Iwa [IHajime is my favourite character in the series, if you did not know.] , that’s why it’s sad to see that he has been “re-written” by fans as this weak-ass teenager with nothing better to do than tear up all the goddamn time. Really, Oikawa is fucking strong as hell and though he may have a few insecurities, he will crush his opponents with his abilities and strengths. Not fucking whining.

Even his teammates respect him and put all their trust and faith into this beauty of a captain, they know he can do shit to annoy them, but they acknowledge his true strength and believe in him no matter how dire the situation. He is Seijou’s captain, heartthrob of many high schools, and one of the most respected Setters. So for fuck’s sake, stop diluting his character more than people have already have.

- Iwaizumi -

I wouldn’t go as far to say Iwa’s is as bad as Oikawa’s, however, since he is my favourite character, and I may have a biased opinion towards this, I would like to say some things as to how he has been in some instances misrepresented in the fandom.

Stop mischaracterizing him as this big old brute who does nothing but threaten to hit Oikawa all the time, I mean, sure, he does that, but we all know it’s out of concern. As a personal writer of fanfiction, I often use this to express his concern towards his friend, not a threat, so why are there actually people who see him as abusive? It’s clear this is his way of caring for Oikawa and ensuring he doesn’t hurt himself or overexert his knee in practice. His aggression is just his own way of saying “I care for you so don’t do anything stupid”, also, I’m not very sure why people would think Iwaizumi is the emotionally “Stronger” one between him and Oikawa. If you need a refresher, Iwa isn’t able to keep in his emotions as well as Oikawa, seeing as the very person who told Oikawa the team with the better six is stronger, questioned his self-worth and position as ace because he couldn’t help his team win. In my unpopular personal view on this, Hajime may be more emotional than people make him out to be.

Another thing that genuinely upsets me is that this baby is as strong as Ushijima but doesn’t get the recognition he deserves? Like, give him some credit, his spikes based off official statistics state that it’s a 5/5, just like Ushijima. So can we please do what we can to spread that Iwaizumi is not just the other half to Oikawa and a person by himself as well? You shouldn’t only love him because he makes up the one of the halves to your OTP, you should also love him for the very fact that this baby loves Godzilla, is a huge dork, is a great Senpai, multi-athletic, and most importantly, the ace of Aoba Jousai, a powerhouse school. Give him as much love as you give everyone else. Okay? okay.

Now, moving on to the fandom aspect, may we please have more Oikawa taking care of Iwa? Just have more fanfiction or fanart with Oikawa reassuring he is enough? We have a rather huge amount of fan-related contributions with Oikawa as the person being constantly assured that he is enough and he tried his best. But may I please see more contributions with Iwaizumi being comforted that he is enough, and that he shouldn’t question his role as ace? I don’t know man, but I think Iwa needs that, he has to learn to recognise his own strengths.

- Tsukishima -

Tsukki is not only a salty french fry who looks down on everyone besides Yamaguchi. Tsukki is one of those characters with the best character development. I agree, he can be a dick, but he doesn’t doubt his teammates capabilities. For example, he may find Hinata annoying at first, however, he acknowledges that Hinata has too surprised him with his drive and determination to rise to the top, making him want to be in some way the “moon” that supports the “sun”.

Let me be in honest here. Before I finished watching Haikyuu, all I saw in Tsukki was an unmotivated dick, but after learning how the person he looked up to, in this in case Akiteru, lied to him and made his idea of “working hard to get you anywhere” fall apart, I realised that after knowing this, his character and personality made so much more sense. This boy went from someone who only saw “Volleyball” as a club activity to something he could actually put effort into. That’s right, he tries. This boy does tries. Shocking I know.

- Yachi -

Yachi is not just a girl who gets in the way of your ships. She is so much more than that. She, despite having a very obvious fear of confronting people she is not comfortable with still tries her very best to do what she can for the Karasuno boys. Don’t forget, this little sweetheart is the girl who helped come up with the poster for the team. She put in a lot of effort into that, so I think it would be nice to give her credit where it’s due even if you might not like her.

I personally feel that Yachi has undergone a lot of character development, she went from this fearful girl to someone worthy of being the next manager of Karasuno. She does her best to pick up what she can from Kiyoko so she can be as good of a manager in the future, if not better. So please stop hating on this cinnamon roll just because she might get in the way of you ships. She has done nothing wrong and I don’t feel she deserves hate in anyway, unless you can validify your point and give me good evidence as to why she is to be hated, this treatment towards her is completely unnecessary.

- Kiyoko -

Kiyoko is the classic case of fans over-sexualising her in fanart or in fan-related contributions. This beautiful lady is not just a woman with a big bust and no brains. Mind you, Kiyoko was an ex-athlete. She could whoop your puny ass in running if you try and I highly doubt you’d win. She was the great heroine who brought Hinata’s bag on her two feet excuse yourself. So please don’t paint her as this lady who all guys fawn over just because she is pretty, she has a personality and life too. See past that superficial layer and grow up.

Look at her, look how sweet she is. It is clear she is a little shy at times, yet she, like Yachi, do their best to express their support towards the boys. I think girls in Sports anime tend to receive more hate than usual, mainly with the idea they are a hindrance to your gay OTPs, hey you, what makes you think that? Can’t a girl be a nice to guy platonically? Even if they in fact to get together with someone who is partially but of you OTP, just congratulate them and move on for fuck’s sake. Stop sparking up unnecessary drama when you lack maturity to comprehend that they can do whatever the hell they want. If you are genuinely upset, just write fanfiction to feed your guilty pleasures, no need to hate on anybody.

Look at what a good senpai she is.

- Yamaguchi -

Okay, listen here you little shits. If you hate on this little precious smol cinnamon roll I will rip your throat out and shove it up your ass. Do not tell me that Yamaguchi is just this weak little boy who doesn’t deserve to be on the Karasuno team. Do not tell me that this boy doesn’t try to do his best just so he can play alongside his friends, because more than anyone among the first years, Yama tries the hardest. He finds someone who can teach him a jump float serve so he can prove to be a valuable player and not just a good ol’ bench-warmer. And you can see even if he might not be perfect, this little bean tries so fucking hard to have something he can contribute to the team’s success.

I don’t care if you don’t ship Tsukkiyama or not, honestly, I don’t give two shits about what you ship. But if you hate on him just because you ship some other ship, you are fucked up. What on earth did he do? He’s the best friend of Tsukishima, yes, I perosnally ship them both romantically and just as friends because I do have multiple ships alongside rare-pairs, but why hate on him? Boy, why hate on anybody? Can’t everyone accept that all characters have their on individual strengths, weaknesses, character, personalities? Seeing your NOTPs isn’t a valid excuse to create hateblogs or hateposts against other characters, that is just childish and immature.

- Sugawara -

Suga is not some weak-ass bitch who depends on Daichi for everything JesusFuckADuck. Stop drawing him as this overly-feminine character when his build is not that far off from Daichi’s. Note, I am not saying being feminine is bad, it’s good, definitely, however going as far as to make Sugawara a guy with almost no trace of masculinity left is a little odd. If that’s what you want, go ahead. Just stop portraying him as someone who can’t even defend hiself lmao, Suga will and can whoop anyone’s ass, do you not remember how painful his jabs can be? Even Daichi and Asahi fear him.

Look at him. He can be intimidating, an angel and a devil. He’s Karasuno’s mom alright, but he is a strong independent mother who will and can be strict if he wants to. He was Karasuno’s setter before Kageyama if you don’t remember, he is intelligent, smart and selfless enough to be willing to sacrifice his opportunity to play on the court, because he knows Kageyama taking his place was the best shot to give the team a chance at winning. Yeah well sorry if you’re butthurt if I said that, I just had to remind you guys, seems like some people forgot.

Kuroo isn’t a sex god, he’s a dork who likes having fun, teasing his kouhais but knows when he goes over the top and apologizes [Like he does to Sawamura when he thinks he’s hurt Tsukki]. He loves science and is overall a huge little science nerd, currently attending college prep class as one of the top student’s in Nekoma. He’s very well capable of recognizing his opponents’ abilities and strengths, coming up with more than decent strategies to overcome them and pulverising them.

Yes, he is sexy but that’s not a reason to only see him as that. What about his passion and love for volleyball? It’s the guy who learned volleyball by watching on people play it on televsion [Which is pretty close to Volleyball genius Kageyama learning by watching Oikawa] and he’s fucking brilliant at volleyball but he doesn’t let it go over his head. He’s modest and he’s helpful towards his own school kouhais, but also players on other teams, just because he’s just that nice. He just wants to play volleyball and help his coach’s dream to be fulfilled; the Battle of the Trash Dump, live on the national stage. He is such a good person but he’s viewed as this mischievous, mocking and sometimes cunning guy when really he’s got his heart on his sleeve and helps out whenever he can.

Bokuto isn’t a fool who is self-centered and moody. Yes he acts like a dork, yes he is moody occasionally. But what matters most is that he has the capacity to pick himself and act like a proper Captain and Ace. [Not that we’ve seen it happen yet, they stated it may be a biased opinion since Bokuto is their favourite character. But I completley agree with them, Please note all this was in their perspective and I am merely adding it onto this master post.] They doubt Fukurodani chose him as Captain simply because he’s the most powerful player and has Akaashi to keep him in check.

In the manga and anime, they say that the rest of the team pulls him forward, and Akaashi says that a strong opponent doesn’t phase him, I believe we’ll see him being the one pulling Fukurodani forward when they need him the most. He takes a lot of pride in being the Ace of a powerhouse school and among the top 5 spikers in the Miyagi prefecture, but like Kuroo, he doesn’t let it get into his head. He also helps out younger players who aren’t even on his team, showing how much of a good senpai he can be. He’s pretty quick to figure out someone’s behaviour or character, since he figures out Tsukki’s personality very quickly. And in the last few chapters we’ve seen him analyze tactics and plays. One does not simply become among the top 5 spikers just because they’ve got big arms and power: They need to be clever enough to think of patterns and attacks and act accordingly to the given situation. He’s not only an owl-obssessed idiot. He’s not a burden and he leads his team proudly. He’s not just moody, he’s just free to be who he wants to be thanks to the trust his teammates have in him.

- Ushijima -

Okay, I want this post to be honest and true, so let’s make it clear. I did not like Ushijima at all in the beginning, not one bit. Which was immaturity on my part because I didn’t see his full story, I saw him as this pushy emotionless guy who had issues with Oikawa not going to Shiratorizawa. But boy, was I wrong. Ushijima is a giant softie at heart who just has trouble expressing his emotions normally, when he does do it, it may not come out the way he had intended it to be. And as a person who has trouble controlling their emotions, I relate to him a lot. Let’s not forget that Ushijima was a single child who was shunned by some people in his family for being left-handed, one of his relatives even suggested trying to correct it though we all know that is not the way to go.

The following is extracted from the Haikyuu wiki. “Ushijima doesn’t speak often, but when he does he bluntly says what’s on his mind and usually comes off as tactless. He will apologize if he realizes that he has insulted someone, but he won’t change his viewpoint.” This boy is not some prick who doesn’t apologise alright? He is not a cold-ass villian with no tact, he is just not very emotionally connected our capable. As @manga-trashcan-pen has pointed out, Ushijima was an isolated child. Meaning he did not experience much social interaction which should have helped build his character and social sensitivity. He is a human with just as much emotions as anybody, for god’s sake this big bean’s favourite food is rice.

He is a captain who has faith in his team’s ability, he believes that only the strongest could have got onto his team and thus he makes sure to bring out the best in everyone.

- Tendou -

Tendo is a very sad character I would say. Not only was he bullied and ostracized in school, he was not liked by some of his peers even in the later part of his life, even though he is a very respectable and skilled middle blocker. Not only does he have the talent and skill to deduce an opponents moves, he has the physical capacity to actually do what is necessary to prevent it. It makes me a little sad that there are people who actually hate him, cause I absolutely love him and think he deserves so much more recognition.

Let’s back up a little and delve into his past. We know that this little red floof was bullied for looking like a “monster”, but when he moved on to highschool however, we can see so much more of his character as it’s obvious he feels more accepted in the academy. And though he may be at times a little annoying, he is still a little sinnamon roll, just like how he knew not to push on with Ushijima when the latter spoke about his family. This boy does have tact and knows when it’s enough to stop probing. He is not a over-enthusiastic dick who annoys everyone he sees alright? This boy who had no friends went on to befriend one of the most notable spikers in the prefecture. Even going as far as to call Ushijima his best friend.

Never forget what he said when they lost the match against Karasuno. He lost one of the only things that made him feel accepted and if that doesn’t break your heart then go get one.

Since I realised I left out some other really major characters, I have added on. And mostly because you guys like me venting??

@sweetberi I completely agree with you about how it eats away at my inspiration sometimes! I mean not all the requests are bad, but I feel like the pressure to get them out in time versus actually taking my time writing scenarios that come naturally to my head are compromised because of that.

Definitely taking that into consideration the next time I open up requests again! :’) I just started a little over a month ago so I’m still learning how to navigate tumblr and how I wanna write without losing myself in that process.

personally when i used to have a writing blog i would close requests after 7-10 just so i could get them done in a timely manner but it all depends on what you think you can push out without overworking yourself

Their s/o getting hit on during a game (ft. Miya Twins and Kita Shinsuke) | headcanon

ooh! what about miya twins + kita getting protective over fem s/o who came to watch them during nationals after she was flirted with by their opponent?

warnings: cussing, passive aggressiveness, shivers as you can imagine how scary an angry osamu may be

Miya Atsumu

Among the three of them, Atsumu would probably have the biggest reaction if he notices someone trying to get at you. He can be short-tempered and snap with sharp words (especially if this happens in the middle of a game). He’s aggressive y’all.

Remember Osamu said his mental age drops by half on the court? Well, when that happens, not only does Atsumu become annoyed by the opponent, but he’s going to want to make sure he gets both you and the opposing team’s attention to ensure that everyone knows who you are to him.

“OI, Y/N! WATCH ME GET THIS SERVICE ACE OVER THAT RAT’S ASS” he shouts and waves over to you (he and Kita are definitely going to have a chat after this)

He releases his anger through his plays. As if his serves aren’t deadly enough, Atsumu is going to somehow manage to specifically aim for said flirty opponent to make sure he gets smacked in front of you.

After the game, when everything has mellowed out and Inarizaki takes the win, you will definitely be the first person he meets off the court. Forget his sports bag or his drenched sweat, He’s going to rush over to you and give you a big hug and smother you with kisses

If you’re the type to shrug off the flirter yourself, Atsumu would be so proud of you and just go on about his day

But, if the opponent somehow manages to have the guts to stick around you, Atsumu would get in between you two and confront him.

“Babe, what are you doing associating yourself with this loser?” (like literally, he is a loser because he lost lol)

Yeah anyone would be scared to have to confront Atsumu in that state. At that point the team just kind of salutes to the lad and hopes he doesn’t walk home traumatized by Atsmu’s harsh words. :\ rip

Miya Osamu

Osamu is cool-headed for the most part, but he can be quite territorial when he feels the need to be. He’s passive aggressive y’all.

Of course in the middle of the game, he’s focused. But, if he noticed a scene where you’re being hit on by someone from the opposing team, his attention may avert to you (depending on the extremity of the flirting).

He’s a little peeved, to say the least. If the opponent is flirting with you as he serves or literally in the middle of a play, you are damn sure that Osamu is going to make sure he spikes the ball into his face to the other side.

He won’t explicitly show his emotions, but Osamu is a little jealous. His only way to control that is by winning and ensuring that the opposing team knows who he is. He might shoot a glare at the guy for a while, but that won’t ever distract him from his plays!

When the game is over, win or lose, he’ll strut over to you and make it obvious that you’re with him!

“Hey babe, did you see that spike I did near their #5?!” as he stares directly at their #5.

or if the other player is still up in your face, he’s not afraid!!

“Fuck off” and proceeds to rest his arm over your shoulder and walk away

He’ll hold you by the waist, show a little more PDA than he usually does, not because he’s afraid of other people catching your attention, but because he wants you to be reminded that he’s here with you and that no one can intervene that.

Kita Shinsuke

To be honest, I can’t imagine that Kita is the type to get jealous or feel insecure about something as trivial as this.

Kita is a pretty mature person himself, so I’d imagine him being with someone who is either equally as mature, if not more mature than him.

The amount of trust and transparency in the relationship is very well established.

If he notices someone is flirting with you, he’d trust that you’d know how to navigate the conversation to either show you’re disinterested or give the person a cold shoulder.

He would honestly just mind his own business or check on you from afar (especially if it’s in the middle of the game).

However, being trusted and secure is completely different than being protective. If he notices that the other person is trying to actually touch you or get in any form aggressive with you (and your body language signals that you need help in any way) he’s right beside you, ready to defend you.

“She already said she wasn’t interested. You should probably leave her alone if you know any better. Didn’t your mother teach you consent? No means No.”

For Kita, it’s honestly not a big deal so long as no one is harmed or hurt. He understands how to stay clam and gauge situations like these, and definitely won’t be afraid to take action if it comes to it. :) He loves you, respects you, and most importantly proud to be with you.

Hi there!

Well, I don’t really have much of a todo list bc I don’t really know how high the demand for my posts is LOL. As of right now, I have about 10 requests pending and I’m trying to get through at least 2-3 done per week. :) I’m also working on some scenarios (e.g Kita, Daichi, and Kiyoko) on the side, but that’s pretty much gets pushed back as more requests come in. Finals are about to start for me... so it looks like I will be posting more frequently once that’s over. Thanks for being patient and waiting. I really appreciate everyone on here for checking in on me <3

Helping a s/o through anxiety and panic attacks (ft. Kuroo, Suga, Nishinoya) | headcanon

hi love! (tw anxiety!) can i request a hc for kuroo, noya and suga and how they would react to a s/o who has anxiety and how they would help you thru a panic attack for example? thank u so much if you write it

Hi there! I apologize I couldn’t push this out sooner. :’( I hope you can still find this relevant for you. I struggle with a lot of panic attacks and anxiety myself so this definitely hits home for me. <3 Hope everything is okay and safe for you!

Warnings: anxiety & panic attacks!

Kuroo Tetsurou

Immediately his instincts are to remain calm if you start to feel yourself fall into a panic attack. Considering how composed he could be in most situations, this is a time where he really hones in those abilities to make sure his concerns don’t give you any anxiety further.

First and foremost, he’s going to ask you if it’s okay to touch you. Like if you agree to that, he’ll stroke your back, hold your hand, or just hug you as a way to make sure you can grip a sense of reality and just know that he’s here for you

Kuroo definitely will walk you through some breathing exercises. Inhale 7 seconds, exhale in 5 seconds. He’ll breathe with you and pay attention to your heart rate as you practice with him.

“Concentrate and stay with me y/n. You’re doing a great job!”

He’ll make sure to give you water once you calm down a little.

Takes everything really slow. He’ll always ask what you want to do next, or if you’re not able to give him that answer, he’ll always patiently wait to make sure you’re doing something to calm yourself down.

consent is key. He’s going to make sure that everything he does to help calm you is approved by your words. he keeps his questions short and simple so you’re capable of nodding or shaking your head.

He doesn’t leave by your side at all, at least until you say that you need space. Either way, he wants to show you that he cares and that he’s there to help you.

Sugawara Koushi

Suga would immediately go into his nurturing mode. In fact, he always carried an epi-pen and an inhaler with him at all times for emergency situations like these.

However, just because he’s prepared, doesn’t mean he’ll barge into your face to give you everything he has. He’s very aware that during panic attacks, he has to remain predictable and present for the person.

If you happen to have medicine that you usually take during a panic attack, he’ll ask you if it's okay for him to help you pull it out and take it. He’ll provide you the inhaler and help you breathe through it if you need it.

Suga would coax you through your state of panic by reassuring you that the trigger to your anxiety is rooted in your thought processes. So he might say something like

“What you are feeling is scary, but it is not dangerous y/n. I’m here with you."

He does everything he can to ensure you have a safe space. If you need to just cry it out, he’ll make sure you two are in an area where you’re comfortable enough to do that.

If you feel endangered to the environment around you, he’ll help guide you to escape from that area and make sure you’re okay with that.

He’ll never tell you to “calm down” because he knows that very insensitive. Instead, his actions of how he takes care of you and guides you through your anxiety will be his way of showing you how to clam down. He’ll never overstep his boundaries when you’re in this state, and he’ll always make sure you can feel like he’s the safe space you rely on during those difficult times.

Nishinoya Yuu

As hyperactive and distracted as he may be, his instincts and intuitions are sharper than you’d think.

The moment he senses that you might be feeling a rise of a panic attack, he’ll immediately stand beside you to make sure you don’t fall or collapse into a dangerous state.

He might not have the skills to breathe you through exercises or supplies like Suga, but he knows how to revert the conversation to help you relieve your mind off the anxiety. That doesn’t mean he completely disregards your panic. He’s focused on trying to distract you from sinking into your thoughts even further

He might ask for things you need at the moment. Immediately his posture and voice will soften up to make sure you don’t feel bombarded with too many questions or too much attention.

Noya would take the lead in the conversation for the most part by either telling you a story that’s comforting or if you’re capable, have you describe to him what your favorite food tastes like, or a scent that you enjoy the most.

“You can get through this. It might seem a bit overwhelming right now, but you’re strong enough to endure and conquer this. I’m here right by you to support you!”

When you’re feeling better, he’ll make sure to take the rest of the day slowly. Accommodating any kind of needs you might need (especially if that entails an ice cream splurge).

He’s super patient, very aware of your senses, and most importantly he’s supportive of ensuring that you can feel better.

This made more sense as a scenario for me, so I hope you don’t mind me switching it up a bit. :)

This is a mess. Kuroo paused to scan the chaotic clutter before him. Tissues thrown unapologetically on the floor, socks and clothes scattered together, it was like an abandoned warehouse in here. Leaning on the door frame of your room, he knocked softly, waiting for your attention to seek up. But you didn’t. An eerie aura summoned the room as you were laying on your bed, curled into a little ball. Distraught and yet unbothered, you remained completely still.

“Ahem.” Kuroo excused himself to the room, careful to not step over the empty cups of instant ramen, “Are you like, dead or something?” he chuckled, but the silence response from you indicated to him exactly what kind of day you had. You and Kuroo had one of those friendships that undeniably had some kind of telekinesis communication. Neither of you needed to say everything to express what the other was thinking, but that didn’t stop you from letting it all out either. Kuroo made himself comfortable on the floor beside you, his head leaning back onto the sheets as he hugged his knees and waited.

“Kuroo...” your voice was hardly a whisper. Taking in another breath, you tugged yourself into a tighter burrito as you exhaled, “...am I that lame of a person?”

“What makes you think that?”

Finally, you broke out of your cacoon and sat up on the bed. “Ah, it’s alive!” he gasps, it was an attempt to make the room lighter. When that seized to happen, he reached for the plastic bag he brought and hands you tissues and a protein shake that he had picked up on the way. Blowing your nose, you let out another sigh and as you looked up, he knew exactly what had happened. You had been stood up. Again. Kuroo’s heart broke a little as it pained him to see you so worked up over this stupid idiot.

“He stood me up!” Your voice finally broke, “Like he made me wait for two hours before he finally texted that he FORGOT” You were angry now. Kuroo sat there and listened as you vented out all your frustrations and annoyance for this dumbass that had the audacity to stand you up. The two of you had been friends since middle school, he knew exactly what you needed during a time like this. The whole time, he waited for moments to butt in and call the guy a jackass, hype you up, and attentively hear you out. If only you could realize that there was a person who would never leave you as he did, but it was far too much risk on the line. He couldn’t. Kuroo just couldn’t tell you just yet, but right now, he badly wanted to just stop you in your tracks and make it clear that he would never betray you like he did.

“Fuck him! Like seriously! Maybe I’ll shave my head and just become a monk at a temple or something,” you finished off with a huff. Clearly, the energy that was nowhere to be seen earlier had finally risen back up along with you. Kuroo broke into a grin, “Well if that’s the case I’ll shave mines with yours!”

The two of you silenced each other with a look before breaking out again into a roar of laughter. Instantly feeling better, you scanned the messy room before you and groaned. You couldn’t even remember the last time you had tidied up. Noticing you looking around, he stretched his neck and leaned back before he finally commented on what both of you were thinking.

“You know, before you clean up that head of yours, maybe clean your room Y/N,” he teased. A pillow struck his face, but you both knew he was right.

Dramatic as you were, you cupped your face and complained, “No one is ever going to marry me at this rate.” kicking your sheets off, you finally made way to pick up the trash beneath you. Kuroo stretched his arms out as he stood up, ultimately deciding it was time to help you. But before he could even pick up the cup of noodles before him, he unconsciously let it out.

“I’ll marry you.”
