My modified recipe: This is a similar recipe to my last coleslaw post. But I changed things up this time to make the coleslaw more robust. . Ingredients: *1/2of a cabbage or eight cups of cabbage.( My previous recipe said to use four cups of cabbage). * 3/4 cup of mayonnaise or eight tablespoons of mayonnaise.(My previous recipe said use 3/4 cup of mayonnaise.) *6 Tablespoons Lemon juice.(The recipe said to use three tablespoons apple cider vinegar). *2 tbsp or 4 teaspoons of sugar.(2 tbsp is 4 teaspoons). *Recipe said to use a scant of celery seeds. I didn't add this. *I added about 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt. (The recipe said to add salt to taste). *I added about a half teaspoon of black pepper. (The recipe said to add pepper to taste). . . . The recipe is simple. I chopped up the cabbage into the smallest pieces that I could. I put the cabbage in a big bowl. Then I combined all the other ingredients in a separate bowl to create a dressing. Lastly, I poured the dressing over the cabbage and mixed it together. The coleslaw is done. You can either eat it now or for best results refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours. . . . If you want to make a bigger bowl of coleslaw, you can double the recipe for half a head of cabbage or quadruple the recipe if using a whole head of cabbage. . . . Ingredients: *1/2 of a cabbage or eight cups of cabbage.( My previous recipe said to use 1/4 a cabbage or four cups of cabbage). * 3/4 cup of mayonnaise or eight tablespoons of mayonnaise.(My previous recipe said use 1/2 cup of mayonnaise.) *8 Tablespoons Lemon juice.(My previous recipe said to use 6 tablespoons of lemon juice.). *3 tbsp or 6 teaspoons of sugar.(My previous recipe used 2 tablespoons/4 teaspoons of sugar). *I used a dash of celery seeds. (1/8 teaspoon)(Didn't use this last time.) *I added about 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt. (I used about 1/8 teaspoon of salt last time.). *I added about a half teaspoon of black pepper. (I used the same amount of black pepper as last time ). * BONUS INGREDIENT: Added 2 teaspoons of yellow mustard to the coleslaw dressing. . . . The recipe is simple. I chopped up the cabbage into the smallest pieces that I could. * Removed the core since the core is harder to chop up. (Chopped up the core on the side. Dipped some of the pieces in the dressing to taste test if I needed to add ingredients to the dressing. No double dipping.)I put the cabbage in a big bowl. Then I combined all the other ingredients in a separate bowl to create a dressing. Lastly, I poured the dressing over the cabbage and mixed it together. The coleslaw is done. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸGrilled Cheese Breakfast Sandwich With Egg and Bacon ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฅ“๐Ÿง€๐Ÿฅช๐Ÿž๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ . . . Ingredients:. . 1. Two Large Eggs. 2. Two Slices of Bacon. 3. One slice colby jack cheese or any cheese that you desire. 4. Two slices wheat bread. 5. Two tablespoons Country Creamery Buttery Spread, Margarine with no trans fat or butter. . . . Instructions: . 1. Wash one skillet, one plate, one cereal sized bowl, one spoon, one knife, one fork, one holder for your utensils, and one spatula. 2. Take out two slices of bacon out of it's package. 3. Place frying pan on the eye and turn to level five. Or medium to medium high heat. 4. Put bacon in pan without adding any oil. The fat from the oil will cook the bacon with confit.(confit is cooking a meat in its own fat.) 5. Cook the bacon for about 10 minutes or until crispy. Flipping every 2 to 3 minutes until done. 5. Crack two eggs into the cereal sized bowl. 6. Pour both eggs into the bacon grease. 7. Use your spatula to separate both yolks. Some of the egg white from one egg may mix with another egg. But you're basically reforming the eggs into individual fried eggs. 8. Fry eggs for 2 minutes on one side and about 30 to 40 seconds on the other side. This will create soft-boiled to slightly runny fried eggs. 9. Clean the skillet. 10. Add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine to one side of each slice of wheat bread. 11. Put one slice of Bread on dry skillet butter side down. 12. Put one egg on top of bread. 13. Next get one slice of bacon. Break in half. And put that on top of the egg. 14. Put slice of cheese on top of bacon. 15. Put last slice of bread on top of cheese. Make sure to put the bread butter side up. 16. Cook the sandwich on medium-high heat for about 2 minutes. 17. Flip using the spatula and spoon. 18. Cook other side for another 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Or cook until cheese is melted and bread is crispy. 19. Serve with other fried egg and slice of bacon on side. (The fork and knife that were washed before were for the second fried egg that's not in the sandwich.) 20. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Spicy Smoked Sausage Ramen With Mixed Vegetables๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿคค๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ . Ingredients: 1. One pack top ramen chicken flavor by Nissin. 2. Ramen noodle seasoning packet by Nissin. 3. Two boiled eggs. 4. Half pack of John Morrell sausages. Any Flavor.(There are two long sausages in one pack. I used one and chopped it up.). 5. One cup frozen mixed vegetables. 6.One cup frozen corn. 7. 3 and a half teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil. 8. Half teaspoon of each: salt, black pepper, chili powder seasoning. 9. 9 cloves fresh garlic. 10. One Large Yellow Onion. . . Instructions: . 1.First I boiled two cups of water in pot. Then I added the ramen noodles and cooked for 3 minutes. Then I added a whole pack of ramen noodle chicken seasoning packet. Set heat to low. Set aside. 2. Next, in a separate pot, I added two eggs. Then I added water to cover them. Then I brought the eggs to a boil. After the eggs were boiling, I removed the eggs from the heat and let sit in water in pot for 6 minutes for soft boiled eggs. Removed from water. Peeled eggs. Cut both eggs in half. Set aside. 3. Meanwhile, added frozen corn to measuring cup. Added about 3 tablespoons of water to frozen corn. Microwave for about 4 to 6 minutes. Repeat for mixed vegetables. Set aside. 4. Peel then stir fry in 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil to yellow onion, corn, mixed vegetables, fresh garlic, all seasonings. Add about one cup water to deglaze pan. Set aside. 4. Took John Morrell sausage link out of package. Chopped up into bite sized pieces. Cleaned same pot that I used to boil eggs out. Next put the John Morrell sausage pieces in that pot with one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Brown all sides. Add about half of a cup of water to bottom of pot to deglaze the pot. This creates a gravy. Set aside. 5. Assemble. Add half your ramen noodles with noodle broth to a bowl. Then add half of your onion/corn/mixed vegetables on top of the noodles. Put half the vegetable broth in your bowl as well. Add half John Morrell sausage pieces. Add half of the John Morrell sausage broth as well. Add one boiled egg that has been chopped into two halves. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Japanese Inspired Ramen With An American Twist๐Ÿœ๐Ÿคค๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ . . . Ingredients: 1. One pack top ramen chicken flavor by Nissin. 2. Ramen noodle seasoning packet by Nissin. 3. Two boiled eggs. 4. Half pack of John Morrell sausages. Any Flavor.(There are two long sausages in one pack. I used one and chopped it up.). 5. One 12 oz pack of frozen broccoli. Any variety. 7. One teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. 8. Half teaspoon of salt. 9. Two packs of soy sauce. (Or add soy sauce to broth as desired.) . . . Instructions: . 1.First I boiled two cups of water in pot. Then I added the ramen noodles and cooked for 3 minutes. Then I added a whole pack of ramen noodle chicken seasoning packet. Set heat to low. Set aside. 2. Next, in a separate pot, I added two eggs. Then I added water to cover them. Then I brought the eggs to a boil. After the eggs were boiling, I removed the eggs from the heat and let sit in water in pot for 6 minutes for soft boiled eggs. Next put the John Morrell sausage pieces in that pot with one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Brown all sides. Add about half of a cup of water to bottom of pot to deglaze the pot. This creates a gravy. Set aside. 5. Assemble. Add half your ramen noodles with noodle broth to a bowl. Then add half of your broccoli on top of the noodles. Put half the broccoli broth in your bowl as well. Add half of your John Morrell sausage pieces. Add half of the John Morrell sausage broth as well. Add one boiled egg that has been chopped into two halves. Sit on top of ramen. Add two small packets of soy sauce. Take pics if desired. Then mix together. If not salty enough, add half teaspoon of salt. Do same for other half of ingredients. 6. Enjoy. . . . Original Recipe from: https://thecarefreekitchen.com/lemon-herb-rice-recipe/#ingredients-in-this-lemon-rice-recipe . . . Ingredients 2 cups Long Grain White Rice *I used 3 chicken bouillon cubes and three cups of water. *4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive oil. 2 teaspoon Garlic minced. *1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning. 1 teaspoon Salt. *4 tablespoons Lemon Juice. . . . Instructions *1. In a medium saucepan, add three cups of water, three chicken bouillon cubes, 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. *2. Bring to a boil. *3. Then add rice. *4. Bring to a boil again with rice included. *5 Then cover, leave a small opening so rice doesn't overflow,and reduce the heat to low. 6. Let simmer, without stirring or removing the lid, for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all water has absorbed. 7.Once the rice is tender and all of the liquid has absorbed, remove from the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for about 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and fluff the rice using a fork, then serve immediately. Ingredients: . *8 Tablespoons Caribbean Jerk Marinade. *Two Medium Sweet Onions. *One Red Bell Pepper. *One Green Bell Pepper. *One 8 oz Pack of White Mushrooms. *4.6 pound Pork Chop Roast (Or and Pork Roast). *About 10 teaspoons garlic powder. *About 10 teaspoons Miss Dash Onion and Garlic Seasoning. *About 10 teaspoons chili powder seasoning. . . . To Make: 1).Marinated Pork in marinade plus seasonings for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. 2.) Set Oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. 3.)Chopped up Vegetables and put around Pork. 4.) Put Pork in Oven for 1 hr 40 minutes on 325 with cover on. Baste with drippings about every twenty minutes. (25 minutes per pound) 5.) Last 40 minutes set Oven to 450 and take cover off. Continue basting every 20 minutes. 6.) Enjoy with some white rice or a side of your choosing. . . . Modified the recipe: Ingredients: . *Spaghetti: We need 8 ounces of spaghetti, which is roughly half a box of noodles. To use an entire box youโ€™ll need to double the recipe below. *Garlic: 3-4 cloves of sliced garlic will make our dish flavorful and wonderful. Perfect for keeping vampires at bay.(EDIT: I used 5 cloves). *Butter: We need 4 tablespoons of butter for this recipe, but the amount will be divided and used separately as specified below. *Parmesan cheese: Adding 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese will make our pasta nice and cheesy while giving it a subtle salty taste that pairs well with everything else. *Parsley: 1/4 cup of freshly chopped parsley will make our dish look vibrant and taste fresh. *Salt and pepper: We need 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper to make sure our pasta dish is well seasoned. *EDIT: Half Cup of Evaporated Milk. . . . Instructions: MODIFIED. 1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook your spaghetti until al dente following the directions of the back of the box. 2. Drain the water, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water for the sauce. (EDIT: I saved two cups of pasta water). 3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. (EDIT: I burned the butter at medium high heat). 4. Add in your sliced garlic and saute very lightly. 5. Add your drained cooked pasta and 1/4 cup of the reserved pasta water, tossing to coat. 6. Add in the remaining butter. 7. Keep tossing the mixture and add in more pasta water if needed. 8. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 9. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the freshly grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley to the top while tossing continuously to combine. (EDIT: I kept the skillet on medium heat. I added the 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese from the plastic container instead of grating it myself. I also added one half cup of evaporated milk to make the dish creamier.) 10. Transfer the pasta dish to a serving bowl and then top with additional parmesan cheese before serving. Ingredients: *1/4 of a cabbage or four cups of cabbage.(The recipe said to use eight cups of cabbage). *Half a cup of mayonnaise or six tablespoons of mayonnaise.(The recipe said use 3/4 cup of mayonnaise.) *6 Tablespoons Lemon juice.(The recipe said to use three tablespoons apple cider vinegar). *2 tbsp of 4 teaspoons of sugar.(2 tbsp is 4 teaspoons). *Recipe said to use a scant of celery seeds. I didn't add this. *I added about 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt. (The recipe said to add salt to taste). *I added about a half teaspoon of black pepper. (The recipe said to add pepper to taste). . . . The recipe is simple. I chopped up the cabbage into the smallest pieces that I could. I put the cabbage in a big bowl. Then I combined all the other ingredients in a separate bowl to create a dressing. Lastly, I poured the dressing over the cabbage and mixed it together. The coleslaw is done. You can either eat it now or for best results refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours. . . . If you want to make a bigger bowl of coleslaw, you can double the recipe for half a head of cabbage or quadruple the recipe if using a whole head of cabbage. . . .
