MASTER LIST in BIO
DECEMBER 5TH
He hadn't expected you home until this evening, but your shoes are sitting beside the landing table, beneath the coat hooks, when he gets home. "Beloved?" he calls, hanging his peacoat beside yours.
   "Kitchen!"
He follows the sound of your voice down the entry hall. He habitually glances into the living room on his way past. Your canvas shopping totes are set on the coffee table, shades of red and green peeking out from inside. He recalls you commenting this morning that you'd stop for groceries on your way home. He should've expected this.
You're standing in front of the coffee machine when he rounds the doorway. In front of you, stacks of mugs. You smile brightly at him. "Hey! You're home early."
He peers into the cupboard as he sidles up beside you. You've pulled every mug from the shelves; all shapes and sizes spread and stacked between the wall and the edge of the counter. He hadn't realized there were so many. "So are you."
You shrug, setting the last of them—a white mug with some vulgar phrase written in cursive—among the rest. "I finished up sooner than I thought, so I got groceries."
He snakes an arm around your waist, rolls his eyes knowingly. "Let me guess: you went to get groceries, but got distracted and walked away with a new collection of trinkets."
A wry smile. You reach into the closest bag. A red, green, and white monstrosity spotted in flat black deer outlines. "Christmas mugs don't count as trinkets. Obviously."
He hums mocking agreeance. "Right. Of course not, dearest." He glances over his shoulder for emphasis, "I assume those are also definitely not trinkets?"
You smile brightly. "Nope. They're Christmas decorations. Definitely essential."
DECEMBER 11TH
He tries so hard not to wake you. You'd been busy all day, then gone to bed late because you wanted to see him off for his nightly patrol. You idiot.
It's not like he doesn't appreciate it. His night always starts off on the wrong foot when he doesn't get a kiss from you beforehand. (It's just bad luck, at this point.) Even so, it's not a good enough reason for you to stay up.
He won't argue about it again. He won the argument about you waiting up for him to get back; he doesn't like his odds for getting you to bed at a decent time.
He sneaks around the house carefully, guided only by the light of the Christmas tree and the night lights always glowing in the hallways. He pins his arm to his chest and swerves through the living room, the kitchen. If not getting blood on your carpet was a sport, he'd win the Olympics. Between you and Alfred, he's pretty sure he could get stabbed and leave no evidence in an entirely white room.
Luckily, it's only a few minor cuts that are dribbling crimson through his suit. All he needs is a few butterfly stitches and some bandage for the worse graze on his forearm.
Unluckily, he realizes a little too late that the First-Aid kit in the kitchen has not yet been restocked. Which means the only fully stocked kit is the big one…in the master bathroom. The one on the other side of his bed. Your bed. Where you're sleeping. Damn it.
He's a professionally trained assassin. He's a goddamn ninja, literally. He can sneak up on any person, into any building. You have no formal training. He once witnessed you sleep through an actual earthquake. Somehow, he always wakes you up.
Not this time. This time, he will not wake you up.
The Christmas lights wound around your potted plants light his way. He picks across the bedroom, around a pile of the day's clothes, across the rug. He steps over a stray Amazon box. Reminds himself to pick it up later. He's four feet from the door. Victory is close at hand.
   "Damian?"
You're joking. When he turns, you're propping yourself up in bed, scrubbing sleep out of your eye. How! He didn't make a single sound!
"You gonna take that off before bed, or..?"
He sighs, tiredly. "I'm not going to bed yet. Go back to sleep, I won't be long." He whispers, still steps lightly, even if there's no point. He steps close, rests the rough palm of his glove on your cheek, and presses his lips against your temple. "I promise. Go to sleep."
You hum, still half asleep. "What're you doin'?" You reach up absently, always wanting touch, always seeking him out. Your fingers brush up his arm, and then, wide awake– "You're bleeding. Why are you bleeding?"
He shakes his head, smoothing a thumb along your cheekbone. "It's only a cut. Nothing to worry about."
Of course, you won't accept this as an answer. He can't convince you to get back into bed once you clamber out from under the blankets, so he follows you into the bathroom and sits on the edge of the bathtub.
You only use the light over sink, leaving the room just light enough to see. The dim lighting echoes the early hours somehow. Neither of you say much, directions aside. It'stoo early for much conversation. You smooth white straps over the minor cuts, a patch on a scrape up his cheek, carefully wind the gause around his arm.
When he's no longer dripping blood on the tile, you go and get a clean set of pajamas while he peels off the uniform and dumps it into the tub. Then, you both shuffle back to the warmth of the bed like moths to flame.
Despite the bandage, his arm is still a comfort when wrapped around you.
DECEMBER 14TH
   "What are you…doing?"
He looks up from his hands, eyes wide, confused. "I'm– I'm wrapping gifts?"
You cock your head to one side. You squint. "Oh. That's a box?"
He blinks once. Twice. "Of course it's a box. What are you talking about?"
Your face twists like you're not sure if you should laugh or not. "Baby. Look at it."
He looks back down at the bundle of scotch tape and green wrapping paper. Sure, it doesn't follow every crisp line, and some of those straps of tape are way too long, and when did that corner get torn off? Oh, it's stuck to that piece of tape. Or is that a different corner?
"Have you ever wrapped a gift before?" You ask slowly, tentatively. You only now realize that maybe you really shouldn't be laughing, if he's never wrapped a present before. He'll take it mockingly, answer defensively, close himself off to save himself the embarrassment.
His nostrils flare as he stares down at it. "No," he says pointedly. "I don't usually have the time. Pennyworth wrapped them. If I did have time, I used a gift bag."
You nod, sly little smile working its way across your face. "Makes sense. Is that why everything you give me is small?"
He blows out a surprised noise, somewhere between a laugh and a sigh. He finally looks up at you again. "You've never complained before. We both know I'm awfully skilled with all sorts of things; the size never matters."
You roll your eyes. "Oh, sure. Do you want me to show you how to wrap it or not?"
He chuckles, steps aside, gestures that he's made room for you.
You step in beside him, in front of the dining room table. In typical Damian Wayne fashion, the workspace is perfectly organized; scissors and tape set neatly on your right, a roll of shiny green wrapping paper on your left, the lumpy mystery package in the middle.
He lays one hand on the table beside the scissors, leans on it, and props his other hand on his hip. "Please, show me the magical ways of gift wrapping."
So, you do. You carefully salvage what you can, flatten it, trim it, tape it down. You smooth the edges crisp around the Amazon box. You explain it as you go, even though you know he could watch you do it once and copy it step for step.
He watches you closely. First, your hands. He really did want you to teach him how you get the gifts under the tree to look so nice. But, he's a weak man at heart when anything concerns you. You always get this look on your face when you're working with your hands. It appears when you fold laundry and wash dishes, too. He catches himself looking at you instead of your instructions.
DECEMBER 20TH
   "That is definitely my sweater."
"No, it isn't." You have a really bad poker face. Your eyes sparkle too much.
He crosses his arms, mindful of the cut, still tender on the outside of his arm. "I bought that last year. At your suggestion, if memory serves."
"I don't know what you're talking about." You upend the hot paper bag in your hand, spilling popcorn into a festive plastic bowl. "This was in my closet."
   "We share a closet."
You wave your hand dismissively. "Potato, pa-tot-oh." You sprinkle on some salt and hold the bowl out for him.
He takes it in one hand and waits for the next item. "I don't mind. You know I don't. I do wish you would admit that it's mine."
You scoff, dumping a box of holiday chocolates into a matching bowl. "Why on earth would I do that?"
He doesn't answer right away, waits until you glance over at him. "Because I like it when you wear my clothes."
Your facade washes away under the tides of a grin you can't contain. You turn away instead, pretending to put all your focus on the candy bowl.
He and his stupid sweet face. He shouldn't be allowed to wear sweaters or smile like that. He smiles at you all the time, much to your joy, but every once in a great while, when the mood catches him right, he gives you this world-healing, puppy-yipping, kitten-soft smile that makes you feel like you're floating. It should be illegal. He should at least give you a warning.
You decide the fluttering in your chest is a little too much for two o'clock in the afternoon, snowstorm or not, so you change the subject. "What movie should we start with?"
He takes the cue, he lets you do it; but he keeps staring at you like you like you're the only thing in the house worth looking at. "You decide. You're the better judge."
DECEMBER 25th
It's been twenty-two minutes since you woke up. You've been killing time, between your phone and the morning newscast on the television across from the bed, but now you're getting suspicious.
He'd been far too excited for any man who wakes up before sunrise. Christmas Day could be an exception, you suppose—fathers and guardians springing out of bed to watch their children rip open gifts. But Damian? You've never seen him so lit up before lunch.
Stay in bed, he'd said, the moment you rolled over for a kiss. You did get one, but he leapt out of bed so soon after that you wondered if you should be offended. You should probably explain that be right back usually doesn't mean a half-hour.
At minute thirty, you debating going and checking on him. You can hear noise, if you strain your hearing over the news anchor. Sizzling? Clanking, definitely. Clinking.
Footsteps in the hallway. The door knob rattles. Alfred the Cat perks up by your feet. Muffled swearing. Not in English, but you know the tone.
   "Do you…want help?"
"No," he replies quickly. "Stay in bed."
You prop yourself up against the pillows and cross your arms. "Don't have to tell me twice."
There's a long pause behind the bedroom door, before the knob turns and the door swings open. You're pretty sure you see a socked foot reel back out of sight.
And then, he appears. Despite the brightly colored fleece pajama pants that match the shirt you slept in, he's still all poise and grace with a tray in his hands. He looks awfully proud of himself, like a cat prancing around with a fat mouse in its mouth, green eyes glittering.
You laugh incredulously. "What is that?"
He practically struts around to your side of the bed, sets the tray across your lap. "Breakfast, my darling."
Sure enough, there's enough food to feed you, he, the cat, and the news anchor. Two mugs of coffee, a stack of Christmas tree shaped pancakes, a platter of scrambled eggs, and a bowl of fruit-chunk-filled yogurt.
He takes your stunned silence as an opportunity to crawl over your legs and settle back down on his side of the bed.
"What– Why?" You're still laughing, grinning ear to ear. "I mean, this looks delicious, but why?"
He's smiling, too. "Well," he sighs, "I knew you were excited about Christmas, especially for dinner." Dinner, which was supposed to be held at Wayne Manor tonight, but had to be canceled to accommodate the weather, which decided to cover every side-street in two feet of snow and every major road in ice. "So I decided to…make up for it, I suppose."

Damian Al Ghul and the Annoying Reporter
Series Masterlist
Epilogue
Aged up!Damian Al Ghul x fem!reader

Synopsis:
A year after the famous interview with Damian Al Ghul, life isn't as good as she thought it would be.
Tumblr media
“Hello and welcome back viewers to Metro News. I am your host Camilia Carmen and here today with me is the CEO of People’s Press, Y/N L/N.” Camilia said as her bright smile stared back at the TV camera.
“Hello everyone.” Y/N said as she sat by the TV primetime news anchor.
“Thank you so much for taking time out of your incredibly busy schedule to speak with us today Y/N.” Camilia said as she turned towards her guest.
Y/N smiled and waved her off, “Of course! I have been watching this show for years, big fan.”
“Oh thank you! And we are very big fans of your new book and news outlet. Your book,” Camilia brought out Y/N’s book and showed it to the camera, “is now the #1 bestseller not only in the United States, but now in France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and coming up into the ranks of other countries. How does this success feel for you?”
Y/N blushed, “You know, this fame doesn’t quite feel like I am famous. Many people come up to me and ask me for an autograph and a picture and go on their way with some words of praise. The fame of my book though, did help my company to take off which I am truly grateful for.”
Camilia jumped onto the transition segment.
Y/N has done so many interviews, she knows exactly how to transition seamlessly.
“Yes, your company is also dominating as a news article distributor, the People’s Press. This company is also doing significantly well, even better than your competitor the Daily Planet. Its CEO has not given a statement to its recent surface of favoritism.” Camilia said with a twang of venom.
Y/N couldn’t help but smile. She proved all of them wrong. She proved her boss wrong, her parents, her best friend, and even her dog wrong.
“My company truly is my pride and joy. I am glad I am able to create articles about our local and international news. I want to bring new and young and old voices alike to retell stories or their take on recent events. It has created a healthy work environment for all workers and everyone is benefiting from this, my writers and readers.” Y/N said with passion. Her joy was contagious as everyone in the room felt her extreme happiness for the new direction of news and diversity in voices.
“Very well put Y/N. Also, speaking of new voices, in your groundbreaking novel, you brought a new voice to light and helped all of us have compassion for our enemies. Would you like to give a little explanation to your book, or inspiration?” Camilia asked as she sat back in her chair.
“Oh of course! My novel, How to Shatter an Heir, is about my experience towards the heir of the League of Assassins. I wanted to expand on his personal stories and trama. He has experienced so much since the literal day he was born. He lost a childhood and a father. I wanted to show the world their is more to a villian than just a sword and blood.” Y/N said as her heart sped up faster. She couldn’t hear her own voice anymore, it was just the thrumming of her heart.
“And you definitely accomplished that, but are you sure there was nothing else to this novel?” Camilia asked with a sly smile.
Y/N deflated and anger rose up in the back of her throat. “Yes, in this novel I wanted to show how a person is more than their parents and who they have a relationship with.” Y/N said pointedly.
Camilia picked up on the hint and dropped the subject, “Well, thank you so much for your time today Y/N and again, congratulations on your success, you deserve it all.” Camilia smiled and turned back to the camera, “thank you for your time today viewers, and remember, Superman, is for all.”
===
Y/N walked down the rainy sidewalk as people ran past her with their hoods up and racing against the raindrops. Y/N didn’t mind, she was to lost in thoughts to care about her hair or jacket.
Besides, the rain reminds her of when Damian left.
She doesn’t remember what happened to her after she was kidnapped, she just remembers pain, being shot, then Damian’s embrace. After that,  all was fuzzy.
She remembers waking up in a hospital and being all alone. She never saw Damian again, but all of the nurses kept saying how their was a man who was frantic in making sure she was okay.
It was definitely Damian by the description, but she didn’t understand why he would leave her with nothing more than $1,000 to get home.
Y/N was broken from her thoughts when her phone rang, she picked it up immediately. “Hello?”
“Your dog hates me and you need to come home.” Jon said from the line as she heard Bella barking.
After Y/N created her company, the Kent's son, Jon, knocked on her door and asked if he could work with her. And as one for cold revenge, Y/N hired him on the spot.
He was her personal assistant as he helped her with everything. She was honestly thinking of giving him the company if she were to retire anytime soon.
“Bella does not hate you, she just misses me.” Y/N said as she laughed to herself.
“Yeah, well come home.” He said bitterly.
“You can go home Jon, I’ll be there in half an hour.” Y/N said as she stood under a near by awning.
“Thank God! Okay, bye!” And the line went dead.
Y/N laughed to herself and looked up at the rumbling sky. This is what fame and fortune felt like.
Y/N then frowned.
If this is what it felt like, then why was it so lonely?
===
Y/N kicked off her heels and threw her wet coat across the back of her couch. From her wealth, she was able to move from her little apartment to a penthouse suite, and from this she adopted more little furry friends, which Bella wasn’t 100% sold on as she liked the attention only on her.
“Bells, I’m home!” Y/N yelled as she stretched out her back and legs.
Only silence welcomed her back.
“Bella?” She asked again as this was out of the ordinary.
She then started to run around the suite looking for her dog.
Then, as she got to her room, she saw a dark figure over Bella on her back. She screamed in terror as she picked up her lamp and chucked it at the figure.
They cursed and jumped out of the way.
“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?” A man yelled.
“Bella!” She screamed as she ran to her dog, who was very much alive and happy. She jumped up and was wagging her tail with her tongue hanging out. “Wait, you’re okay?”
“Of course she is!” The man said again.
She then turned to look at the intruder to stop in her tracks.
Before her stood a Damian Al Ghul in a tailored suite and slicked back hair.
“Damian?”
“The one and only. And I see your aim with your lamps has gotten better.” He said with a slight chuckle.
She didn’t share the same happiness.
All joy of seeing him left in an instant, “Get out, you have no right being here and breaking an entry.”
Damian stilled as the smile dropped from his face.
“Don’t you dare give me that look. You left me, remember? You left me in a country I didn’t know and I was scared. When I literally needed you the most of all of the time we were together, you were nowhere. All I got was that some man was worried about me, nothing else. So get out!” Y/N said as the sting of tears was strong, but she would not allow herself to cry, not in front of this coward.
“I knew you would be mad,” He began.
“And you still did it anyway?” She said coldly.
He winced, “Yes, because Slade’s men were still after me.” He said reluctantly.
Y/N stopped for a moment. “What do you mean?”
“Slade was gone, but his ideology was still strong. All of his men were still after me, they thought you had died. I saw them in the lobby of the hospital, and I ran. Of course, they followed, I then . . . got rid of them. I wasn’t sure how many more of Slade’s men were still alive, so I left. I knew you were safer with me gone. I wish I stayed, you have no idea how that ate away at me.” Damian confessed as his shoulders slumped.
The rain outside hit the glass harder as the room was drenched in darkness, but neither of them cared.
“I then left for my father's in America. My mother, I knew, wouldn’t help me, so I left for my father’s. I didn’t know if he would help me, but apparently, he is known for his charity.” He said with an eye roll. “Father took me in with no questions asked and has housed me for over a year. He has been training me to become his successor since his first, second, and third son did not want the company.”
“What is the name of the company?”
“Wayne Industries.”
Y/N’s heart stopped. Wayne Industries was the first company to invest in hers. She couldn’t believe it.
“So, why are you back? Asking for a refund since I did get rich off of you.” She asked as she wrapped her arms around herself.
Damian coughed, “Actually no, you got rich on your own merit. Without your crazy, suicidal, idea of interviewing a murderer, you would not be crazy rich.”
Y/N blushed, “Thanks, but why are you really here?”
“Well, Titus misses you, and I thought you would like. . . to see him again.” Damain said awkwardly.
“Oh, if it for Titus, then of course!” She said enthusiastically.
“Although, there is someone else, someone very naive, stupid, and suicidal who also wanted to see you again.”
Y/N paused, “who is that?”
He paused, “Me.”
“You?”
“Me.”
“Why?”
“This is so hard. Well, apparently, you have lasting consequences! You have weakened me and made me insomniatic with the thoughts of you!” He said exasperated.
Y/N gaped, “W-w-what?”
“You have,” he stepped closer, “bewitched me. Body,” he took another step, “mind,” step, “and soul.” His fingers pushed her hair behind her ear, “I’m in love with you.”
Y/N's heart thundered in her chest as she was in sheer disbelief.
“And I wondered, are you in love with me too? Or am I a fool?” He asked if his heart echoed hers.
Y/N smiled, “You are a fool.” His heart dropped, “but you are my fool.” And she leaned forward closer towards him, waiting for him to catch her, he did.
“Well, how fortunate am I then.” He responded and leaned down to her lips.
His lips ghosted hers as his heart squeezed, he wasn’t enough for her. No one was good enough for her. She deserved the world, she deserved all the stars in the sky.
Y/N spoke, her voice barely heard, “you’re my universe.”
And Damian’s lips crashed into hers. Their lips locked together in perfect harmony as each of their souls shined bright. No storm, assassin, or mother could get between him and his annoyingly perfect reporter.
A/N: wow, this is it. This feels so unreal that this series is over. I have been doing this series for a year and this is the end. This is my favorite series I have ever written and thankful for the journey. I hope everyone loved it as much as me! <3

Dick saw Barbie and was dressed in all pink for it. All the girls tag teamed Barbiheimer. Jason saw both. Damian saw Oppenheimer but would definitely see Barbie when it comes out. He'll lie about it tho. Tim pirates them both.
lmaooo.
dick is definitely a barbie goer, that's for sure, and he took jason with him and tries to convince him to wear pink as well, but jason is too stubborn and wears his normal clothes, but he wears a pink bracelet or another accessory "in secrect" just becuase he's cool with it but does not want to follow the trend.
i think tim goes along with the girls, and comments and jokes with them all, but rewatches it at home later to get a better understanding of both movies.
damian is too proud to admit he wants to watch barbie, and when everyone goes together he either is at home crying himself to sleep or watching oppenheimer on his own while wishing he was with the fam.
so eventually he goes to watch it on his own, wearing all black, hood and sunglasses included, just so no one will notice him, but in a place where everyone is dressed in pink he clearly stood out and there were pictures of him rounding the internet.
everyone was making fun of him on the group chat he's not included in, but bruce forbids them for ever mentioning it in person because he just wanted to watch a fun movie and also because bruce went with him and somehow didn't get in any of those pictures, so he's scared damian will outs him to the others and he'll be made fun of too.

All you had to do was stay with Damian Wayne 🙏

"It was my fault." Damian acknowledges. "However—"
You raise a brow. "Mr. Wayne, did you call me for a business meeting just to discuss this?"
"No." He lies.
You stare at him, blinking. "Liar."
"Okay, it was not the main purpose of this meeting, just one of the—"
You sigh. "What's the business-related purpose?"
Damian pauses. "...nothing."
"There you go." You sigh. "You broke up with me, so don't ruin your reputation and come crawling back to me. Mr. Wayne—"
"Damian." He whispers, eyes hurt. "Please. Damian, like you used to call me."
"You aren't Damian to me anymore." You mumble. "Mr. Wayne, I don't care how you take care of it, but I am no longer yours. You were the one who told me I was not suited to date you after so long."
Damian shrinks, hurt on his face despite his training to mask his emotions, and you pause.
"...Damian." Your voice is gentle. "You broke up with me, so hold your head up high and continue to pretend that it didn't hurt you, alright? You have to."
"I don't want to." Damian mumbles.
He looks pitiful, but you don't point it out.
"I can't stop you from reaping the consequences of your own actions." You mumble. "You have a meeting in ten, so fix yourself up before then. I'll see you at the meeting, Mr. Wayne."
Damian feels himself shatter just slightly.
He's Mr. Wayne to you now.

Batcave Meeting (YAN!Pt.3)
Romantic!Yandere!Batfam Part 3. Part 1, Part 2 here (context: Tim Drake purposefully got aphrodisiac'd when fighting Ivy and then went over to Darling's apartment to smash. This is a batfamily meeting about that and how to move forward.).
As you obliviously drifted to sleep, the live feed of you doing so was being projected onto a big screen in the BatCave while members joined together at a table, casually watching you as you yawned and readjusted against your pillow. The imposing man situated at the end of the table clasped his hands together, regarding the young men in front of him. Once everyone was seated, the imposing man began speaking to them, noticing how many of them had their eyes glued to the screen.
"We're going to discuss what happened the other day and plan for next week," he announced, and the pouty brunette who had had a frown on his face now crossed his arms.
"Allow me to explain it from my perspective first, Father," he said, sporting a moody expression, "You and Drake were unexpectedly out of commission during your patrol, which, while not typical, is understandable given our line of work."
His eyes flicker over to Tim and Jason, narrowing in contempt and disgust.
"Todd and Drake both know how important our duty to Gotham is," Damian continued while making eye contact with Jason, "But instead of prioritizing that, they let their impulses get the better of them. Drake especially for instigating the situation. Using Ivy's aphrodisiac to... indulge with our darling? It's selfish, reckless, and disrespectful."
"Damian, hold on a second," Jason interjected, "I had no idea about the aphrodisiac. It was my night off so I was sleeping in and missed Bruce's calls when he and Tim got doused in it. I only woke up because the audio feed from her apartment was turned up and I heard them together. I blew up Tim's phone and went over when he left because I was pissed, and I didn't realize that was why she couldn't get enough. I feel really bad about it now that I know."
Damian's expression softened subtly as he absorbed Jason's explanation. Despite his composed demeanor, the tension still lingered in his features.
"I appreciate your honesty, Todd," Damian conceded, his tone slightly softer, "It's still not acceptable that she was acting strangely and this was not analyzed, but I understand that the situation was...unconventional."
As Jason and Damian had a moment of newfound comradery, Tim finally spoke up, "I understand your frustrations, but you need to know that I researched Ivy's aphrodisiac extensively before I ever considered using it. I made sure it wouldn't have any adverse health effects on anybody and appropriately calculated the risks."
Damian's expression darkened further, his negative feelings towards Drake beginning to truly show. "This isn't just about general safety or the safety of some substance!" he exclaimed, "It's about respect and her consent. You had no right to manipulate her like that, whether or not it posed a physical risk."
"Come on, Damian," Tim retorted, a hint of defensiveness creeping into his voice. "She didn't find out about the aphrodisiac, did she? So what's the big deal? It's not like we hurt her or anything. She's fine, and she doesn't even know what happened. In fact, she likes us even more because I made a move for us. Why are you making a big deal out of nothing?"
Jason scoffed, his distaste in Tim at this point evident. "Seriously, Tim? You're gonna act like a douchebag just because she didn't find out? That's messed up, even for you."
"It's not just about the immediate consequences," Damian shot back, his voice angrier. "It's about the long-term impact on her. I bet you didn't even stop to consider how your actions could affect her, or how they could undermine the trust she has in us. And what about the ripple effect it could have on her relationships with all of us? He's playing with fire, Father, and he needs to be held accountable."
"Let's not overlook the bigger issue here," Tim said, his voice defensive, "What I did was perverted, I admit that. But let's not pretend that bugging and wiring her apartment is any less invasive. That's hardly consensual either."
"Don't you dare deflect the issue!" Damian's voice rose, and he was now yelling, "We implemented those measures for her safety, not for our own entertainment! It's a gross violation of her privacy, but at least we did it to protect her!"
"Oh? And having two separate cameras staring at her bed is going to what, protect her from bad dreams?"
"Dami, Tim, let's try to keep our cool here," Dick interjected gently, easing in to defuse the tension, "We're all on the same team, remember? We need to work together to figure this out."
Damian turned to Dick with a measured gaze, "I want to hear your perspective on this matter, Grayson."
Dick sighed, solemnly addressing Drake. “Tim, what you did wasn't just a mistake. It was a deliberate breach of trust. She relies on us to keep her safe and instead of focusing on that, you exploited her vulnerability.”
"Also," and Dick seemed more pained at this part, "You betrayed our trust. We all care about her and you influenced her desires for your own gain."
Tim sat in silence, his expression filled with shame as he began to realize the gravity of his actions. He knew he had acted irresponsibly, and the weight of their words hung heavy in the air. Jason and Dick exchanged silent glances, their disappointment evident in their expressions.
Damian took a deep centering breath before focusing his attention back on Tim.
"This isn't about whether she found out or not, Drake. If you still don't understand that, then we need to take more drastic measures to address and punish this behavior. Father, I appeal to you to implement anything you deem necessary to prevent such behavior in the future. We cannot allow such indecent actions against her to to be repeated."
Bruce, understanding the severity of the situation and having now heard everyone's perspective, nodded solemnly at Damian.
"Tim, in light of your actions, there are going to be some consequences," Bruce stated firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "You need to schedule therapy with Dr. Thompkins to address the troubling attitude that led to this situation. While we have taken invasive measures to monitor her, as Damian pointed out, your actions went beyond that."
He paused, allowing the weight of his words to sink in before continuing. "Until you've attended and Dr. Thompkins deems it appropriate, you will be restricted from having any contact with _____."
Finally, Bruce's gaze softened slightly as he looked at both Damian and Tim. "And Tim, it's imperative that you and Damian eventually reconcile. We're a team, and we need to remain united in our goals and overall behavior. I expect both of you to work towards rebuilding your relationship for the sake of the team and our darling."
"Damian," Bruce addressed his son, "since Tim will no longer be able to have contact with her, I'm assigning you a new responsibility. You will substitute him as her school friend and be someone she can rely on for assistance with homework and company. I want you to pick a class of hers that sounds interesting to you and make sure you're there to support her. It's important that she has someone she can trust and rely on, especially now. It's an opportunity for you to show her that she can count on us."
As the meeting continued, Damian spoke up, "I'll join her art class. It will allow me to assist her with her assignments and ensure she receives the academic support she needs."
Bruce nodded in approval. "Good choice, Damian. Make sure to approach this responsibility with care and dedication."
Turning to Jason, Bruce's expression grew serious. "Jason, I need you to be especially understanding and supportive towards her. If she feels troubled or has any lingering negative thoughts about what happened, I expect you to be there for her."
"Of course, Bruce," Jason says, eyes fixated on the now-sleeping figure of their darling on the cameras, "I'll do whatever it takes."
Dick now spoke up, "Can we talk about introducing me as Jason's roommate?"
Bruce shook his head, "Not yet; I want to make sure Damian successfully integrates first. You can still frequent around her job but no more interactions than that."
"Except for as a vigilante?" Dick replies hopefully, and Bruce gives him a measured gaze similar to his son's.
"Yes, although I expect you to exercise patience and primarily work in Blüdhaven for now."
Damian cuts in, "And don't be like Drake and fabricate a reason for her to need you."
"Damian," Bruce says in a tired voice, "I've made myself clear."
Damian looks down with an expression like he's biting his tongue and contempt is bright in his eyes, "Sorry, Father."
With that, the meeting concluded, each member of the Batfamily knowing the roles they had to play in ensuring their darling's well-being and trust remained intact.

One of the reasons Tim doesn't stay in the Manor is because his clothes keep fucking going missing.
He had been pretty sure it was Cass at first, until he started recognizing the oversized shirts Damian was wearing.
They were his.
Oh, Damian was still a little shit, to be sure; but he no longer tried to actively kill Tim, and apparently raided his closet for clothes so frequently Tim didn't even bother trying to find something once it went missing.
Tim and Damian had an understanding.
Damian admired Tim, and viewed him favorably.
Damian also had huge amounts of pride, and his previous behavior would be a source of embarrassment for not understanding how different the culture in America (and for non-assassins) was. Ergo, apologizing would be painful, so he wouldn't.
Instead, he stole Tim's clothes.
And Tim let him.
It was...a thing. Their thing.
Damian stole the other's hoodies and shirts as well, but he would always hunt down Tim's.
Dick had thought it was an antagonistic thing and had tried to talk him out of it, but both Tim and Damian ignored him.
He wasn't a part of this.
It was an unspoken apology, one that never ended. It was also an unspoken acceptance, one that never changed.
Damian stole four shirts from Tim.
"I apologize, I view you as family, I do not want you to die or leave, but I cannot speak this because it hurts me to admit to my mistakes."
Tim bought more clothes and wore them until it was time to 'lose' them in the manor.
"You're a little shit and not nearly as clever as you think you are, but I know you're sorry, and if this is how you show that you don't want me to leave forever then I'll do it for however long you need that reassurance."
It was stupid and it didn't make sense to literally anyone but them.
But they were the only ones who needed to know what it meant anyways.

am supposed to be on hiatus(literally reinstalled tumblr for this rot)
but yandere! robins with a super duper huge bordering on unhealthy fan! cosplayer!reader who can sing and dance
reader interviews them and gets themself in dangerous situations just to get a close look at how their costume works
AND HOW THE HECK THESE PEOPLE MOVE SO EFFORTLESSLY AND GRACEFULLY WITH THAT GODDAMN CAPE ON Like wTF-
so the robins know them quite well and they’ve sort of built an acquaintanceship with you. it’s endearing to have these heroes that you’ve been a fan of for so long to care about you so much…and not question why you keep feeling them up all the time. in reality, they see you as this perfect damsel that could do no wrong and whose cuteness/proneness to danger really activate their “hero neurons” to protect and care for you.
y/n duty is definitely a thing aside from patrols.
anyways reader who attends the same university as them (feels really weird when you treat them so differently or gush about them without their mask but that’s another story) and does a performance with their group on halloween as robin
(you can imagine any song but exo’s monster demo is what im thinking of CAUSE READER SINGING THAT FINAL PART?? IT TOOK ME HOURS TO FUCKEN NAIL IT DOWN IM-)
and their down badness turns declined atrocious real quick.
like y/n duty turned into a prize for which vigilante performed the best or something and they’d literally fight each other over it.
a lot of them resort to just … plain stalking you. not for altruistic or protective reasons anymore just cause they want to see you.
and/or dig up your past performances, videos, any sort of recordings just to get bricked up and be too wet/hard for a mission and unfortunately have to stay back to relieve themselves
some just plain use your admiration towards the robins to get you to do stuff.
damian threatens to share your robin smut/general fanfic and other ehrm terrific shit you’ve done while rotting for them to the entire world if you don’t sing while you two do homework.

Damian Wayne x Reader blurb
suggestive themes, female reader, she/her used
Y/N comes back from the grocery store, placing down her items and organizing them into the home she shared with her long time partner, Damian Wayne. Said lover who is now sitting on the dinner table, typing on his laptop. He always patiently waits for his beloved to come back from her errand trips. Her handmade reusable bag eventually runs empty and it settles under her arm. After all the work is done, Y/N feels accomplished. She leans against the counter for a minute, just thinking... Usually, Y/N will give Damian an "I'm Back" kiss to greet him. But today, she's thinking of something different. Y/N goes into character, pretending like she is back at the store, looking through shelf after shelf. Damian side eyes his beloved, wondering what she is doing but most importantly wondering what is delaying his kiss. Y/N spins her way to where Damian is sitting and he tenses. He pretends like he was completely focused in his work. She carefully takes his hand off his keyboard, inspects it carefully. She lets her eyes follow up his arm and gives a pleased hum. "What a fine, high quality product.", she says. Y/N's eyes linger, she then places Damian's hand in her grocery bag, and casually walks toward the bedroom. Damian is up and following his love without question. "I am a fine, high quality product", he thinks.

What's a Lock to a Bat?
damian wayne x reader (featuring the batsiblings)
(A/N): I'm not dead!! I know I've been MIA but last semester was without a doubt had the most difficult and busiest semester of my life, and I've done so little writing. I want to do more now that it's summer so here's hoping. Thank you to everyone that's been patient about a request and stuck around; I am so grateful to all of you :)
I've been working on this story for i have no idea how long but have not yet managed to finish it until today and only did so because I really wanted to post something but don't have much finished so I hope you all enjoy it :)
wordcount: 2361
warnings: blood, injury, batsiblings being themselves
~~
Damian and you have been living in an apartment together for 2 months when the first bat comes through the window. It’s dick, and it’s a social call. It only spirals from there
__
It’s 2 o’clock in the afternoon and Damian has just gotten home from his last class of the day. You’re sitting on the couch, working on an assignment as he makes lunch in the kitchen. You suggested sandwiches, but he doesn’t eat deli meats, so you honestly have no idea what he’s making, but it’ll probably be good.
A loud ‘clunk’ coming from behind your bedroom door has you standing up and reaching for the knives strapped to the side of the table right beside the couch and turning to Damian to see if he’s expecting anything or anyone he didn't warn you about. The fact that he’s pulled two of your largest kitchen knives and is focused entirely on the bedroom door tells you he wasn’t.
You’re not as good of a shot as he is —you’re no field vigilante— but you can hit a target pretty well, especially when you know where it’s coming from.
“Hey guys, how’s the new-Aye!” Dick says from the doorway, shrieking as he dodges a six inch knife that lands in the throwing target on the wall next to him. “Ok I guess I deserved that. Probably should have called first or something.” He smiles awkwardly and pulls the knife from the board. You’re pretty sure it went through and into the wall.
You sigh and relax, heart beating quickly from the adrenaline. “Or, you could have just used the door. We do have one, you know.”
Damian is looking positively murderous, so Dick comes to give you a hug first, and you put the set of throwing knives away before allowing him to wrap you in a hug. He does give good hugs, and you can’t stay mad at him for long, though in all honesty, you weren’t really mad in the first place.
Dick turns to Damian, who has turned back to what you now see is boiling a pot of pasta.
“So, what’s for lunch?”
~~
You’ve met Duke before, but only once, so you’re surprised when you get a knock on the door at 7pm on a Thursday evening and he’s standing on the other side.
“Duke, hi. Sorry if you’re looking for Damian he’s actually at the manor this-”
Duke looks quickly back and forth as if he’s expecting something to be coming up behind him
“Yeah, I know. I may or may not have pissed him off and am looking for somewhere that he won’t find me. And I figured he’d never think to-”
“Check in his own apartment, yeah. Smart. But what makes you think that I won’t just tell him?” you ask, even as you move to let him in.
“I was hoping?”
You lock the door behind him and move to lean against the kitchen counter. “How about this: If he asks me specifically if you’re here, I will tell him yes. If he doesn’t I won’t say anything.”
Duke collapses on your couch.
“Deal.”
As it turns out, Damian finds Duke by accident, as he’s leaving your apartment at 2am, the same time that Damian returns after his patrol shift. The look on both their faces is priceless, especially when you knew it was coming; Damian told you he was on his way back, you just didn’t tell Duke. Even after a ten minute lecture from Damian about what you think had to do with sword-display etiquette, Duke admits that you kept your word, and he stops by every few Thursdays (when Damian is at the manor) for an hour or so, just to say hi.
~~
Though you see him least often, you actually do enjoy spending time with Jason. He’s always good to talk to about your English assignments, and he’s willing to help you clean or bake when he’s over, assuming Damian is not.
You didn’t even know he was in town when he came flying through your (thankfully open) balcony window at 11pm on a Tuesday night, and he scares you half to death as he gets up, covered in blood.
“I’m fine” You point to the large slash in his jacket, then the blood on his gloves. “Mostly.” He raises his hands up. “This isn’t mine.”
You sigh. “So can we talk about when crashing into my apartment became a usual thing in your family? Because I don’t remember having this discussion.”
Jason shrugged, already stuffing his gloves into his jacket pocket and grabbing a water bottle from the fridge.
“I don’t care much for bonding time with the Demon Spawn, but you’re a lot more tolerable than he is, and this apartment is centrally located.”
You put your hands on your hips. “Is that your way of telling me you like me? Because I speak fluent Damian, not general bat-speak.” Jason just chugs his water bottle and shrugs. You sigh  —again— and head to the bathroom to pull out your first aid kit.
“Whatever, doesn’t matter I guess. Just sit down and let me fix that. And then, to repay me for the water and food you’re inevitably going to consume, you’re going to help me develop the topic for my English final paper.”
When Damian gets back from patrol, three hours later, it’s to you and Jason sitting on the couch, Jason wearing some of the pj pants he’s less fond of and a plain t-shirt. He’s torn between annoyance that his older siblings have made a habit to come to his apartment to talk to his partner when he’s not home, adoration for you because you fit into his family so well, and a spark of something warm in his chest when he knows that you’ve also gotten one of the half a dozen pairs of pj pants he doesn’t wear out of his dresser in your own way that was both kind and manipulative.
Man does he love you.
~~
Out of Damian’s brothers, you probably see Tim the most. He spends the most time at the Batcave, and since Damian is there often, and you run ground research over comms when you can, you’ve run into him many times. Sometimes you’ll help him get a fresh pair of eyes on a case, and sometimes he’ll spar with you. You’re not a full-time vigilante, but the fact that you know how to defend yourself puts both yours and Damian’s minds at ease, and Tim is closest in build to you, so he’s the best teacher, not counting the girls.
He doesn’t usually show up at your apartment, though. It figures that when he does, he’s bleeding out on your couch.
You get home from running an errand at 9pm, expecting an empty apartment. Instead, you find Red Robin sprawled out on your couch, digging through his utility belt, and bleeding from a wound on his leg.
You drop the bag you were holding and hurry towards him.
“If you’re going to drop by, how about a little more texting and a little less bleeding out.”
Tim looks up sharply, then relaxes. “Sorry,” he mutters, still clumsily sifting through his utility belt. “I didn’t think anyone would be home.”
You swat his hands away and search through his pockets yourself, pulling out a piece of gauze and shoving it against the wound.
“How did you-ah- how did you know…?”
“How did I know where to look? First, I’ve stocked your belts before, where do you think the new equipment comes from? And second -don’t tell Damian- but you and he keep your medical supplies in the same spot.” You press his hand over the gauze. “Put pressure on this. I’m going to grab the first aid kit.” Tim nods, his face white, and you stand to grab the huge kit you keep in the master bathroom.
When you return, Tim has switched the soaked gauze for a new piece, and switched hands, too, exposing a red spot on his stomach armor as well. You bat his hand away, angry.
“And you thought it was a good idea to hide this from me?” Tim winces, likely from your tone.
“I forgot about it.”
You sigh. “Ok, we’ve got to get this costume off.”
By the time you’ve managed to get Tim out of his costume, clean and stitch his wounds, help him change into clean clothes and wash off some of the dirt and grime covering him, it’s just after eleven, and you shove Tim into your and Damian’s bed to sleep. There’s no way you’re letting him go home in his condition. You’re just hoping Damian chooses the living room window instead of the bedroom one tonight.
At 1:45 am, your hopes are dashed when you hear Damian’s voice raised to a near-yell and a softer voice responding. You enter as fast as you can, but you’re surprised that Damian’s not about to kick Tim out. Instead, he’s glaring.
“You put him in our bed?”
You shrugged. “He’s injured. You would have done the same.”
It’s a testament to how much his relationship with Tim has grown that he doesn’t immediately deny it.
“Tt. You owe me one, Drake.”
Tim rolls his eyes and falls back asleep in response. You stifle a laugh and drag Damian out of the room, pushing him towards the guest bathroom. “We can sleep on the couch; I’ll take the covering off of it and wash that tomorrow.”
Damian looks at you; the expression on his face has faded from irritation to adoration. “Thank you, beloved.”
~~
You don’t even see Cass until you turn away from what you were doing in the kitchen. You’re pretty sure you don’t startle outwardly, but it’s a near thing, and Cass can probably tell anyway. She’s sitting on the couch on your laptop, and you don’t even ask how she got through the passcode and locking mechanisms. Instead, you turn to the fridge and grab the orange juice and pour her (then yourself) a cup and sit next to her on the couch. You like Cass, and she’s one of Damian’s siblings that he outwardly respects, so her visits are usually well-received, though she does so rarely, and never with advanced notice. You see her more often at the cave, and you find her great to spar with because she never makes you feel inferior for your lesser skills, and teaches you ways to knock her brothers down a peg without having to tell you that's what she's doing.
You hand her the TV remote as she passes you back your laptop, and she flicks the TV on and heads right to Netflix, clicking on the next episode of a TV show you started but never really got into. Three hours later, though, you’re laughing hysterically as Cass mutters under her breath about the characters’ idiotic actions.
“Why do they go to that building? It is obviously wrong.”
“None of the action would exist if they knew what they were doing, Cass,” you say, smiling so hard your face hurts.
“Hm.”
You hear the click of keys as Damian opens the door and he toes his boots off and grabs a bottle of water before sinking down next to you on the couch. Cass’s eyes don’t move from the screen.
“These people are stupid.”
“Tt, there is much worse,” Damian says, his elbow brushing yours.
Cass hands the remote to Damian who pulls up a different show of the same genre. You’ve watched that one already once, with your own family, and ten minutes in you know you’ll never be able to watch it the same again, but it’s without a doubt worth it.
~~
When Steph stops by your apartment, it’s not a social call nor vigilante business. Instead, she picks the lock on the living room window, turns off the alarms, and precedes to sit at your kitchen table and pull out a backpack full of notebooks. She pulls out her laptop and a notebook before even looking at you. Steph shrugs at your raised eyebrow.
“I needed someplace to work where I’ll actually get the motivation, and it’s quiet.”
You’ve given up on trying to get the bat family to let you know when they’re coming over, so instead you shrug and go back to your own homework assignment. At least she didn’t show up bleeding.

DAMIAN WAYNE X READER
WARNINGS: language
MASTER LIST in BIO
"This was a terrible idea. Horrible. Absolutely intolerable. What is wrong with you."
He's glad for the dim lighting, because you'd definitely chew his head off if you could see the way he's smiling. Smug bastard, you'd crow. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm having a fantastic time."
If looks could kill, Damian Wayne would be buried in your backyard right now. "I hate you so much right now."
He really hopes you can't feel him trying to suppress a laugh. Your nails are digging into his arm through his shirt, but he barely feels it for the giddiness blooming through his chest.
You open your mouth right as you turn a corner, but a cackling corpse with bleeding eyes lunges to the end of a set of chains bracketed to the wall, and all that crosses your lips is a shriek.
Now he's laughing. Loud and boisterous, uncontainable.
A noise that, under normal circumstances, you'd be reveling in. Right now? You want to wad up a strip of dilapidated fabric from the wall and shove it down his throat until he chokes.
"Let's go to a haunted house," you mock, pitching your voice, and it sounds freakishly alike to his voice in sixth grade. "I'm never listening to you again. You're officially the last person I trust, now. Congratulations."
Of course it was his idea. You get good-naturedly frightened—with no real danger—while he still gets to play your knight in shining armor, big brave protector? Sign him the fuck up.
He's grinning ear to ear, beaming brighter than the colored spotlights that shine down on a mad scientist's lab in front of you. "It isn't my fault you're so jumpy."
"Seven hours of horror movies will do that to a person, asshole."
He laughs again, pulling you through a curtained doorway. It doesn't take much. He's pretty sure that even if you weren't clinging to his arm for dear life, you still wouldn't let him get more than five inches away from you.
A werewolf yowls right next to you, and the scream you unleash rings all the way out to the entrance.
Damian's pretty sure his arm is bleeding, but he can't be sure because it's gone numb. Totally worth it.

Damian Al Ghul and the Annoying Reporter
Series Masterlist
AgedUp!Damain Al Ghul x fem!reader
Chapter 11
WC: 500
Warnings: kidnapping, ransom note, language
Synopsis:
Wanting to make a name for herself, Y/N does the unthinkable and tries to interview the heir to the League of Assassins. Although, it doesn’t go as planned. How will she be able to salvage this, especially when Damian Al Ghul doesn’t like strangers?
Tumblr media
“Thanks.” Damian said as he accepted the water from the flight attendant. He sat by the window of first class and drank sparingly.
He never realized how little he talked as the silence around him ate away.
He missed her voice. Saying how she was so surprised he had enough money left in his bank account and commented about how delicious the food was.
He missed her asking him (pointless) questions constantly, or giving her commentary freely.
Titus sat on the seat beside him as he was acting sad as well. Damian also had to pay the entire cabin crew to allow Titus with him and not in a crate.
He couldn’t stand this silence and picked up the airplane phone. He quickly dialed the Daily Planet.
His flight to Scotland was delayed a day and had to stay in France an extra day. The first night without her was excruciating.
He knew she must be in the office with her friend. . . Edla. . . Elma. . . Esme. Yeah, Esme.
The annoying ring repeated over and over until someone picked up.
“Hello, this is the Daily Planet, how may I direct your call?”
“Hello, can I talk to your reporter Esme? I have some details on the story she is working on.”
“Of course, one moment please, and could you please share your name for transferring purposes?”
“Bruce Ghul”
The phone went back to a ring as a British voice came over the phone.
“Hello, this is Esme. I’m sorry I haven’t had the pleasure to meet you in person yet Mr. Ghul as your name doens’t come to mind. What information on the sidelights do you have to add?” She asked politley.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I am not really Bruce Ghul, I am Damian Al Ghul. I wanted to speak with Y/N.” Damian said sheepishly as he felt like a child asked for his friend to come to the phone.
There was silence then laugher. “You have got to be kidding me. Tell Y/N I believed her and don’t need some actor to call me.” Esme kept laughing as Damian blushed.
“No, miss, I’m serious. I am Damian Al Ghul. I need to speak with Miss. L/N about our interview.” Lies. Damian just wanted to hear her voice.
“Sorry to say, but she isn’t here. I thought she was still with you.” Esme said as Damian's heart dropped.
“What do you mean? She didn’t come to see you when she got back?” He asked as panic gripped at his insides.
“No. . . Wait, you mean you don’t know where she is?” Esme started to match his panic level.
“NO! I got her on a flight home yesterday!”
“Oh no! Do you think something happened? I know she would have came to me first to get Bella!” Esme said hysterically.
“I-”
“Excuse me sir, this is for you.” A flight attenant interrupted and handed him an envelope.
Damian stopped short as the envelope was a deep black color.
He quickly grabbed it and opened.
His hands shook as he read the note over and over again and his heart sunk lower and lower.
You want her? Meet us at the brig. Don’t be late little bastard.
Damian’s hand shook with anger and his knuckles turned white around the phone. “I know where she is. I’ll get her back.” He said as he hung up.

Bruce Brooding (as per usual)
This started as me trying to write about Clark and Bruce on an off-world mission but turned into Bruce spiraling about his kids. I've been thinking about parents dealing with their kids gaining independence because of my internship so I guess that's what this is. It's basically stream of consciousness and unedited.
Bruce hated this. He hated being far from home for so long. He knew Dick could handle Gotham. All of the kids could handle things without him just fine. It causes such conflicting emotions in him, that his kids are so capable. Bruce was proud, so proud of all of them, but he hated that they didn’t need him. That is the point of all of this, though he rarely admits it to himself. When he started Gotham needed the The Bat, nobody needed Bruce Wayne. Sure his bank account was helpful for establishing The Batman and the Justice League, but he wasn’t. Then he took in Dick, and he needed Bruce. The Batman helped him channel the pain of losing his parents, but he needed a guardian, a father figure, and that was Bruce. It was the same with Jason and Tim, and all of the children and young vigilanties he had taken under his wing. Some needed The Batman more than Bruce but they all had needed him. Now none of them did. Not the League, not Gotham, not his children. They could take care of Gotham without him, take care of themselves without him. And they didn’t want him. How many times had Damian demanded to be left to work on his own, how many times had Jason told Bruce he hated him? Perhaps it would be best to leave them to their own devices.

can we have sweeter than fiction, damian wayne please? 💞💞
this life is sweeter than fiction - damian wayne x reader
Tumblr media
Damian blinks slowly at his schedule and then at you, opening his mouth as he practically beams at you.
"I get another chance?"
You look up from your computer, trying your best to hide the smile crawling up your lips as you tilt your head, feigning confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"I won't mess up this time, I promise." He meets eyes with you, green digging into your own, and you look back down to your computer.
"We'll work towards that." You hum.
"Is the night market okay?"
You open your mouth as he cuts you off.
"We can ride the bike there."
"Oh, what's that? Wayne's perfect successor suggesting using a motorcycle?" You raise a brow.
"Damian." He repeats. "To you, it's Damian."
"Damian." You don't bother fighting the smile on your face this time.
"Yes?" He answers, smile on his face.
"Damian." You laugh.
"Damian, to you, and only you." He smiles, staring at you.
"Yes."
"And I plan to keep it that way."

Summary: Jade has brought Lian to the only person she could think of to protect her now that Roy is dead: Damian al Ghul.
[Context: this is set in my AU where Damian has adopted a bunch of Villain's kids. The 11yr old mentioned is Zoe Lawton.
TW: there are allegations to postpartum depression and abortion but nothing explicit.]
"You can't be serious. Nguyen, this is insane."
"There is no one else. She is not safe with me."
Damian took a sharp breath through his nose in frustration as he stared Cheshire down. She looked ragged. Tired in a way he had never seen her before, though unless you had known her for as long as he had you would never be able to tell.
In her arms was a bundle. Small, wrapped in a pink fuzzy blanket. Damian knew what that bundle was, and as he had just stated, it was asinine for her to have brought it to him of all people.
"What about, Queen? If the child is truly Harper's like you claim her to be, would it not make more sense for her to be with her adopted Grandfather?" Damian tried to reason.
Jade gave him a hard look. "Do you truly wish me to entrust the safety of my only child to Oliver Queen?
Okay, Damian could at least concede that Queen being given access to an infant was a horrible idea. Especially so fresh after he and Canary have split for what he assumed was the umpteenth time.
"I just don't understand why you would bring her to me. I can not be your first choice."
"Of course not," Jade snapped. "My first choice is dead."
Damian could admit he felt a modicum of guilt at invoking the thought of Roy Harper's demise. Especially as he was seemingly to be given the privilege of being the first to meet his daughter, when by all rights it should have been him.
"You aren't even my second choice," she continued.
"Who was?"
"Jason."
"Todd?" Damian asked.
It would make sense, he supposed. From what he understood he, Harper and Jade had all had some form of… arrangement. Harper being the focal point. Damian had only witnessed Jason and Harper together once, but they had looked so disgustingly in love that he made sure to never have to be in the same room with them again, if he could help it.
Grimly, he thought that would no longer be a problem.
But the problem with Jason being her second choice is that shortly before Harper's death, he and Father had some falling out in regards to the Penguin and he went off grid. Damian wasn't even sure if he knew his lover was no longer living.
"Yes, Jason." She said, "but though hard as I try I can not find him."
Damian sighed. "I'm not surprised. When Todd wants to disappear he makes sure that even Father can't find him. But I still don't understand the logic of me being your third choice."
Jade laughed bitterly. "Do you not understand, Little Prince?"
Damian winced. She had not called him that since they had been in the League.
"You are not my third choice. You are my only choice. There is no one else. I have no one else to trust."
The pair shared a long look amidst the silence of the cold night air.
"The Justice League would help you, Jade." He said, softly. It was not often he showed others this kindness. But he knew deep in his bones the hysterical and bitter feeling of having no one to trust. No one to rely on. It was part of the reason he had gone about collecting his little band of misfits. So at least he could be someone to trust, even partly.
Jade scoffed as she tightened her arms around her daughter.
"Please," she spat. "Like they protected Roy? Or Jason? Or you?
Damian had to look away from her glare.
"The Justice League can not even protect their own children! I can not- will not- entrust them to protect mine."
"But why me?" He shouted, demanding to know what the woman was thinking. "I'm seventeen. I live with a handful of other teenagers and an eleven year old. We don't even stay in one place for more than a few weeks. Not to mention that said eleven year old is also being hunted because of her connection to her father. Your child will not be any safer from your enemies with me, Jade."
"Perhaps not. But she will be safe from me."
Damian felt a growing sense of unease as he saw a deep hollowness take over Jade's eyes. He didn't have to wait long for her to elevorate.
"Sometimes she just… cries. And cries and cries and one night I- I almost- I could have-" she took a shuddering breath. Damian had never seen her this shaken. " I thought I could do this. I thought I could love her enough to be what she needed. But I'm not… I'm not built for this. For the… softness that she needs. It's just not in me."
Damian felt his heart twinge as he watched a single tear trickle from her eye.
"I tried. We're she anyone's but his… I would have terminated. But I… I couldn't bear to bring myself to kill the last part of him that remained in this world. I tried for her, for Roy, but… I'm just not built to take care of anyone but myself."
Damian opened his mouth to say something. What, he didn't know. But he felt she deserves to hear something.
She, however, interrupted him.
"But you are," she said, her voice nearly more than a whisper. Then stronger, " I have known you since you were a boy. I have witnessed you in many parts of your life. And what you have always demonstrated, without ever giving it conscious thought, is your ability to care for those you consider under your protection. Those you consider your own."
"My brother's would very much disagree with you."
Her lips twitched upwards. "You are a good man, Damain al Ghul. You always have been. Even all those years ago. I know that you will guard my child with your life. And that you will take the life of others in her defense, should you find it necessary."
Damian felt his shoulders sag in defeat.
"I still don't think this is a good idea. What exactly is your plan?"
Knowing she had won, Jade drew her shoulders back.
"Find Jason," she said, authoritatively. "He is who she has left now."
"And if he won't take her? Or if… he can't?"
"Do whatever you have to do to keep her safe."
Damian sighed for what seemed to be the hundredth time that night. "I supposed that's all I really can do."
He lifted his arms towards her to take the child.
