I made a thing: Hera Cheat Sheet 🦚

This is just the first page of 11 pages, 6 of which are sources.

The document includes Hera’s epithets, Hera’s theophoric names, her major cult centres, her known festivals, a selection of rituals and offerings from the written and archaeological record.

It took me 34 work hours to research and put together and I am quite proud of the end result 🙂

It is! Within the crime families, tattoos usually hold meaning. Piercings, scarring, that's normal outside of that but tattoos are looked down upon just a bit by regular folks.

Most tattoos mean something or are meant to display something that can not be said with words. In some instances, many tattoos are just meant to show affiliation. For example, T's tattoo under their eye. They also have a HUGE one of a snake on their back.

Theoi Info Sheets Series Part 3: Hera, Amphitrite, & Persephone

I have always felt more drawn to Goddesses and female deities, as opposed to their male counterparts. I think part of this is due to my Catholic upbringing and the trauma I experienced in the name of capital g God. I also think that part of this is due to being a feminine transman (possibly non-binary person?) and how I conceptualize my gender.

But outside of my own experiences, I think there is something inherently more appealing about female divinity for so many people. The Divine Feminine, how it is at odds with our cis-het culture, how it is inherently queer in the way it expands divinity outside of the binary; I think these are things that inherently draw in those who do not fit into societal norms (which I feel like I can safely say is a very common characteristic in modern day pagans).

All in all, while I haven't formed deep connections with these Goddesses specifically - I do honor the divine feminine in my practice; and I think these Queens of the Cosmos embody all that is holy in femininity.

Soooooo, my mom has been getting calls from our insurance company over and over again, wanting to talk to me about programs they have for me....?

Well they wouldn't tell my mom what they were talking about and she didn't let them talk to me cause I'm a minor and what not.

Well they kept calling and the same thing. But today! Today, we get a letter in the mail addressed to me, again talking about these "programs" they have for me.

It's because they think I'm PREGNANT!!! XD

So we've been laughing at that all day and my uncle and I have come up with some theories as to why I'm apparently a gay virgin Mary. (A virgin Echo if you will)

1) Zeus. It seems like I have insulted him one too many times and that last rainfall we had was actually his golden shower that he uses to impregnate people. So I'm probably gonna start getting chased by cows or turn into one.

2) Loki's fucking with me. This might be hilarious to him, he does seem like the type to fuck with a insurance company. This is most definitely the preferable option, I can deal with a little trickster god. As long as I don't turn into a horse I think I'm safe.

Or

3) Apollo is involved somehow. It makes sense, of course Apollo would fall in love with a lesbian, especially a mortal. Not sure but if I turn into a plant this case is closed.

in an act of desperation for more star wars content I have regretfully decided to watch the sequel trilogy again (with the exemption of ROS for my own sanity)

Ah I remember my question now!! Since Ezra is a growing boy, how does that impact his prosthetic use? I'm assuming they can't just go get him refitted like normal... do they help him resize? Do they build new parts? Or help him find some?

Hiii!! :D) So I doodled out my thoughts as I pondered this question but my handwriting is ass so… I’m also gonna write a little summary too!

Ezra's first Prosthetic was given to him by the same people who performed the amputation on his leg in the first place. Some concerned Lothali citizens who couldn't bare to watch him hop around on his severely infected leg any longer. 12 year old Ezra was pretty pissed about it though (understandably). It didn't help that his first prosthetic was old as balls and awful to walk on.

Thankfully, using bits n bobs he'd collected out on the streets, Ezra was able to tighten the loose hinges at the joints and modify the top to fit better. Alas, he ended up loosing this leg after bopping Kallus over the head with it pretty early on into joining the spectres.

Hera set him up with a pair of crutches and then devoted herself to finding him a replacement. She was determined to find something that was better than his last prosthetic and thought she'd struck gold when she figured out Vizago had one sitting in storage. She haggled hard but eventually managed to pocket the rarity, and delivered it back to Ezra. Sabine helped modify it fit to properly, and to Ezra's delight he discovered that the hinges on this leg were motion activated, and could pack an even better punch (or kick) than his previous one.

Ezra hadn't really manage to curb his habit of using his leg as a weapon on occasion, and during such an incident ended up losing leg 2 (much to Hera's despair). Thankfully, Sabine had helped Ezra do enough maintenance on his last two legs that she was confident she could fix up some similar prototypes using her engineering skills. The spectres all contributed to a scrap box that would be used to build replacement legs whenever Ezra ended up losing or outgrowing one. All of them were very dedicated to scouting out parts for him and happy to help with maintenance.

At some point the rebellion had gotten large enough to start having a more organised healthcare system, and Ezra was offered a spot on the surgery waitlist for cybernetics. Ezra was initially hesitant, however, post the incident on Malachor he eventually agreed.

The cybernetic, although not the most advanced for it's time, is connected to his nerves giving him full mobility over the prosthetic. However, it came with it's own new quirks that took some getting used to. Detaching and Reattaching the cybernetic takes between 2-5 minutes to do, and often requires tools to help, rendering it no longer an option as a spontaneous mid battle weapon. As a result there was no longer need for him to cut holes in the left leg of his trousers either.

Ezra doesn't sleep with the cybernetic (same as one wouldn't with a prosthetic) cause it would be hella uncomfortable. On lazy days, he often goes without it, opting to use crutches around base instead. The cybernetic is waterproof, however, in both snow and sand it can sometimes become clogged and stiff, and may need extra maintenance after the mission is complete. The ghost crew is always willing to help pitch in with their engineering expertise (mainly Hera, Sabine and Chopper) or spare part gathering.

Anywho,,, yeah. I hope that sort of answers that question?? I'm not 100% familiar with how prosthetics and cybernetics work in the Star Wars universe so forgive me if some of this info doesn't check out. ( also if u see a spelling mistake,,, no u don't)

How's the power and prestige of crime families compared with those holding a court position?

Half and half. The courts have a bit more power because if they want, they can arrest MC's father on suspicion alone, but choose not to because he still has a lot of sway and manpower. Plus, they can work together. In terms of public opinion, MC's father has many people on his side. Enough that he holds a lot of power even without a seat.

This is the same for the Dimas, but most of their power lies in underground markets and they sort of choose to stay away from fraternizing with government officials (mostly because MC's father was able to get more pull on them.)

When I saw your post about drawing requests, the first thing that came to my mind was Howzer and Hera as a child, because I like to think that before he got arrested they used to be kind of close together, like in a big brother / little sister kind of way !

So I'm not sure if this can be considered a real request, but if that idea inspires you, then I'll love to see these two in your art style :D

If I ever write a no powers au it is going to be a who dunnit about Zeus’s death because literally everyone has a motive and now since everyone is mortal everyone has the means to murder him.

Murder suspects

Athena- Believes that Zeus is running the company inefficiently and if he just listened to her everything would be fixed. Once tried to take over the Olympian Holdings. Her alibi is completely air tight like she knew this would happen…

Hades- Zeus once tried to harm his lover. Rival business owners.

Posideon- Extreme brotherly rivalry and also rival business owner.

Apollo- Recently disowned son who has taken his disowning suspiciously well… has the medical know how to pull off some interesting stuff. Second most likely to be framed.

Hera- We all know her motive. And you know what she deserves to kill him at this point

Luke- trying to destroy Olympian Holdings for its shady business practices and has his own complicated ties to the Olympian family.

Ares- Recently written out of the will for doing something stupid. Has a gun at all times. Most likely to be framed.

Hermes- Zeus’s aid for a ridiculous amount of time with no career advancement. Has info on the other suspects that he is very willing to share. Has recently been in hot water with Zeus over the actions of his son Luke.

Thalia and Jason Grace- Zeus’s bastard children who are set to inherit a lot of his money.

I have no idea who the detective would be since there isn’t an unbiased demigod with the intelligence to deal with this mess. Tempted to have the detectives be Percy and Annabeth. Will Solace would also make a great medical consultant.
