First off, not to kiss ass, but I really love your writing! I follow three people, one of which is my best friend, and you’re one of them. I always come back to your account for content! Anyways, I just wanted to voice my appreciation real quick. lmao

Aside from all that yapping, if you’re alright with it, I’d love to read some Alastor x reader headcanons, specifically about Alastor’s shadows, and how they act (and if they’re a little naughty sometimes with the reader 😏💀) before Alastor and reader start dating. Maybe they try to encourage him to ask her out? Idk, I just have random ideas floating around in my head. I completely understand if you’re uncomfortable with the idea or just too busy with others, but I just wanted to request since I saw your post about it!

I feel like Alastor’s shadows are so under appreciated but they’re also probably the biggest Alastor haters out here, like they probably piss him off a lot of the time when he isn’t doing business. As for the reader, they definitely steal Alastor’s girl 😏. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this!!

Alastor’s shadows are almost always out to get him

Maybe it’s revenge, who knows, but Alastor hates it

When he first met you his shadows were over the moon about it

They always know what he’s feeling, even before he’s ready to admit them

So after you two first met they started to approach you more

You didn’t notice them at first, going on about your tasks in the hotel

Until you were cleaning a mirror and saw them behind you dancing

You just laughed and shooed them away lightheartedly, but it didn’t work

They tended to bounce between following Alastor and following you around

You had been taking a bath when one of them showed up, peering above the side of the tub

“Go away you, I need some sort of privacy” You said laughing, a bit of water spilling over the tub and within seconds the shadow was gone

Now we all know his shadows tell him any and everything

But they’re just as involved in the gossip as Angel

They’ll go to him and tell him things about you, who you were with, what you were doing, even down to the scent of your perfume

“Hello dear!”

“ Hello Alastor. Anything I can help with?” You asked. He grinned, his smile stretching ear to ear

“ Well I was just curious if you happen to know where the princess could be?”

He asks, his eyes flicking to the wall behind you for a minute.

The shadows dancing in with your own, making cringy gestures to Alastor, teasing him.

“ Oh actually I think she left to an interview with Vaggie earlier today. But that was the last I’d seen her.” You reply, but you don’t notice them behind you. His smile strains, pulling you close and walking down the hall.

“ Well my dear since we are under unsupervised vision why don’t we go out for lunch! My treat of course.”

He’s casual, as if he didn’t just steal you away from his shadows who still wanted to mingle in your presence more.

Whenever he talks to you they’ll just get really excited and cheer a lot behind you, pointing to you and making little kissy faces

he hates it

When you two start dating they only get worse in their antics

They constantly follow you around, acting as if they’re your shadows

Sometimes they take things from you to mess with you but it’s all in friendly spirit

You were doing your hair once and got distracted because one hand insisted on dancing with you

Alastor can never really have you to himself thanks to them, which he absolutely hates

“ Do you mind?”

He’ll ask, the static in his voice only louder as he clutches you to his side. The shadows stand and cross their arms, giving him the sass right back

“ They’re just having fun.” You say, and he lets it slide only because it doesn’t entirely bother you

Now they have joined in whenever Alastor and you try to get alone time

This is also the only time they aren’t against Alastor but more against you

If you ever thought of backing up into a wall to get away from Alastor think again because he’s right behind you sweetheart ;)

If you ever do flirt with them they’ll get really excited and run to Alastor about it, excitedly whispering what you’ve done

If you ever need Alastor and he isn’t near, you’ll usually have his shadows bring him to you

The perks of being with Alastor is he can never really run as long as his shadows are wrapped around your finger ;)

It was late and the hotel was quiet. Sitting in a warm bath Y/n ran the soap over her arms and down her torso, unwinding from the busy day. Until she saw shadowy eyes staring at her from above the rim of the bathtub.

“ Oh hello.” She said smiling, pausing in her actions. The shadow did nothing, sitting still and watching her shyly. “Do you happen to know where Alastor is?” She asked, leaning over a bit so the water flowed off her body easily, her torso now visible.

The shadows eyes went wide, nodding furiously. “Hmm, how about you,” she said, now eye level with the shadow, getting closer. “ bring him to me.”

The shadow had never disappeared quicker, and in its place was a confused Alastor, now kneeling in front of the tub, noticeably lost.

“Oh, Hello my dear! Something the matter?”

He asked, before she grinned, her hand reaching forward to pull him to her by the tie.

“ You’ll find out.”

Bonus:

“Dear they are actively trying to take you from me.” Alastor says, his smile strained and eyes twitching.

“Don’t be so mean, they just need some love too that’s all. Isn’t that right?” You coo, the shadows huddling around you more in a group hug. You giggle as some tickle your sides.

and by the time you saw Zhongli, yknow, just the oldest god in game, making a fast-walk towards you, ykno the retired god who didnt move an inch when an old water god attacked Liyue for a test, is now hurrying to you???

ur logically get so fucking scared sm shits abt to go down, u just start running

it isnt until ur reaching for a ledge and some webbing shoots out of ur arm (from a glitchy little spot on ur arm, where it could be coming out of ur skin, but sometimes its a blue and red bracelet)

it latched onto the nearest building, and thats how u find out u can grapple ur way, literally Spiderman style, out of the harbor

and bro, idk if it would be fun, or confusing and stressful, or maybe both?? to just find out u can use any video game power from any game youve played before as you go running from countries bc for some freaky reason they know too much abt you/are pursuing you-

dUDE- they had small statues of you in like every little section of their cities

u head to Mondstadt and as Venti comes screaming and flying at you (in excitement, but ur freaked), u go to hold a hand up and suddenly ur holding a heavy stone tablet that unleashes some holographic yellow chains that freeze him in place-?? why is this familiar-

oh my god u have the sheikah slate from Breath of the Wild,

and as ur booking it out of there, u manage to get ahold of a sword, and u know exactly how to use it to knock back favonius knights trying to stop you (they are concerned for their god who is just unleashing random powers on ppl, pls let Grandmaster Jean just talk to you Your Majesty-!!)

by the time you teleport ur way to Inazuma, (bc u still have this worlds access to ur player/traveler’s powers), ur trying to find a nice place to stay for a little bit

at least in that sweet spot of the Raiden not noticing/finding you, while things cool down on the main continent, before moving on,

and u get some tools to help fashion just a little shelter, bc u dont have any money/mora rn, and ur able to literally build a house???

a mailbox pops up and thanks you for renting with Tom Nook???? As in Animal Crossing-

and rlly if the BOTW/slate thing didnt clue u into video game powers, then this definitely would tbh lmao

right as u see Yae Miko circling ur house, with an armful of books? ..is she planning to thru them at you??, u get the hell out of dodge before her favorite god can follow along

(she knows ur prefrences in books and got authors/trends to start so youd have plenty to read, and she was making sure it was ur house before politely dropping them off! how was she to know thatd spook their favorite God, Ei?!)

u get to Sumeru and think ur safe, hiding in an abandoned forest watcher outpost (1 person treehouse rlly) when Nahida shows up in ur dreams,

and u just,

walk out of the dream, into reality, and possess a nearby ruin guard so u can sleep in peace, bc she cant access a robot,

that one baffled u as you re-possessed ur own body before realizing-

Five Nights at Freddy’s. 💀

U cant do that forever, so u try Fontaine, hoping Neuvillette/Furina wont rlly give af abt you, plus theyre the latest region, so maybe they have the least exposure to whatever the other archons didnt like abt you??

u get there and are immediately summoned to court, and right as the mekas show up to escort you, jfc they have a mecha army

(meanwhile, theyre thinking, yknow. high profile guest/our god of gods. ofc we need state of the art mekas to escort them, its only polite-)

meanwhile ur cape has now become wings, and a mask covers ur face as you glide and fly ur way over the city in an attempt to get to where u assume Snezhnaya is

it doesnt occur to you the game until ur running out of stamnia and catch ur reflection in the waters of fontaine, Sky: Children of the Light

u hope the Tsaritsa’s dislike for other gods/Celestia doesnt extend to ur otherworldly presence so ur just hoping for the best atp tbh

tbh youd forget what all powers you have, and the absolute chaos ur causing urself as u try to desperately rememeber what games youve played thru ur entire life is NOT helping to reduce confusion when u randomly wake up with elf ears (legend of zelda/botw) or get dragged into another ruin machine when u fall asleep/faint/do smth u guess mimics death lmao- (fnaf) 💀

she did also have to get Pierro/Captaino to physically restrain some of them from going ahead to meet/escort you to the palace, she’d heard how the others scared u off, and was, ironically, hoping the warm welcome would clear things up)

❥When you moved into the neighborhood, you immediately noticed that you were a bit…different. Flatter than the other residents…as in they were all 3D while you were 2D.

❥Everyone flocked you, curious as to how that was even possible. So you explained how you came from a town that was a bit more…animated. They were in awe as you told tales of your hometown. Even commenting on how they wanted to visit some day.

❥Even with all the commotion of your new neighbors, you couldn’t help but keep your eyes on a certain yellow puppet. He watched from behind the others, gaze never leaving you. You couldn’t help but let your ego grow a bit, flaunting a bit more than you already do.

❥All the attention your first day left you a bit overwhelmed. Yes, you’ve dealt with crowds before when you worked as a singer at a bar in your hometown, but this kind of attention was different. It wasn’t the perverted stares you grew accustomed to. In fact, that was a bit of the reason why you left.

❥Even though you were overwhelmed the first day, you couldn’t help but appreciate how kind your new neighbors were. Once they learned that you were a singer they just had to have you perform (a bit to Sally’s dismay. But you're the new neighbor so she can let you have the spotlight this time).

❥As you sung a love song, your gaze was once again drawn to who you’ve come to know as Wally Darling. A fitting name, truely. His stare was intense as he watched you. You’d think you’d be creeped out by it, but you didn’t. In fact, you felt flattered. Compared to the creeps at the bar who’d oogle at you without shame, who’d cat call, who’d stare at you like you were lesser for whatever reasons…Wally’s stare was nothing like that. A bit empty, sure, but it wasn’t disrespectful or perverted.

❥Day by day, you found yourself growing infatuated with Wally. You wanted to spend more time with him. Get to know him better. Maybe even entertain an idea of something more.

❥It didn’t help that you caught on to his small shows of affection. His stare lingering on you being the tell-tale one. But you also caught him touching you, whether it be a pat on the shoulder or a short hug. How he gifted you things, sometimes a drawing, or just something that ‘reminded him of you’ (which made you feel more confident at the fact that he thinks about you).

❥You were the first to finally make a move. The entire neighborhood knew about the flirting you two participated in, not like you were keeping it a secret. But you could tell that Wally didn’t seem like he was going to do anything further than that.

❥Let’s just say everyone was relieved when you two became partners. Only to realize they’d have to deal with even more lovey dovey flirting afterwards.

You looked at Lucifer. He looked back at you, dumbfounded and with slightly widened eyes. From lip-reading, you could tell he was trying to whisper a few things like "no" and "why..?", but the growing anger in your head made it a complicated activity.

Sera watched as you slowly descended to your brother, standing still and firm next to him. She conjured the document again, using a feather pen to add some extra paragraph; the advice was taken in quick murmurs, those who angels feared you and your authority, now they had an expression of growing disgust and hatred as they looked at you.

When Sera finished, she made the document disappear into light again, standing up from the grandstand and flying in the center of the assembly. The murmurs quickly stopped, the angels now paying attention to what she had to say.

She began to talk about the accusations of crimes that Lucifer committed in the Garden of Eden and the consequences of his actions that generated evils and triggered diseases on Earth. She ended up with the penalty he and Lilith would receive - expulsion from heaven. However, there was an addendum: you were also sentenced to expulsion, accused of being an accomplice and justifying an unforgivable criminal act.

Lucifer looked at you with a bitter taste for being the reason for your expulsion from paradise to a completely unknown location. You, however, just held his hand and squeezed it lightly, saying you didn't care about any consequences as long as you managed to defend his ideals and be close to him. After all, he was your brother, and you would do anything for him.

You could see his eyes slightly teary when he let go of your hand and pulled you into a hug to which you reciprocated, closing your eyes heavily as you felt the feeling of falling into the void, without knowing what the place you would go would be like, but the feeling of having the person who cares most around you, as safe as possible, it already made the fall more acceptable and tolerable.

You didn't regret defending your brother at all, and would never think of going back on your decision. Things may not be better than before being in hell, but you will adapt like a family, happy to be able to see your brother and Lilith well.

Even more proud of the fact that he can proudly say to be in a relationship with you and call you "his"

You may have many fans, some of them even worshipping you, yet at the end of the day, you always return to his side

Alhaitham picked up on that habit of yours quite quickly

He would find the notes everywhere. In the pockets of his clothes, between his many documents, sometimes in the lunchbox you would make him from time to time

He started to take a liking to those little notes, feeling excited every day to find new things to read

Actually, he started to mirror this habit, writing his own little notes about you and hiding them for you to find throughout your day

It became sort of a challenge, who could find the most notes between the two of you

Usually, Alhaitham came out as the winner, since he would never stop searching for them, eager to read what you wrote down (he would never admit that though)

really appreciates it and truly hopes that you'll never stop doing this

Tighnari

• Loves, loves, LOVES, that little habit of yours

• Especially if you hide them, so he can find them all over the place throughout his day when he's out and about

• Every time he finds some of your notes, his tail would start to swish slightly, while a soft pink colour decorated his cheeks

• When pointed out by someone else, he denies it ever happening, mentally cursing that he's so obvious with his infatuation towards you

• He makes it a point to find and collect all of them, no matter how many there are

• Almost forces you to tell him how many notes you hid for him, so that he can confirm that he found all of them

• If he did overlook one or a few, he searches for them everywhere until all of them are found by him

• Keeps them in a little box he made himself

• By the end of the day, when he finally returns to your side, he cuddles up to you in bed and answers to every single one of the notes

• You wrote a compliment about him? He gives you one back. You list a reason why you fell in love with him? He reciprocates in the same manner

• Overall very sweet, hopes that you'll never run out of things to write, cause it always brightens up his day

• At first, he didn't really know what to make of it

• He knew that you left little notes around your house, to remind you of things you had to take care of

• But when he one day found a note in his pocket, obviously from you since he recognised your handwriting, he was confused

• 'I hope you have a good day at work<3' was written on it

• He read it a few times, before deciding to forget about it for the time being to focus on the tasks he had to take care of

• And yet, Cyno found himself constantly thinking about that note. It somehow made him feel appreciated and loved, simply because you thought of him and wanted to brighten his day

• When he returned to your shared home that evening, he decided to ask you about it

• You, however, thought you did something wrong, that he didn't like it, as he wore an extremely serious expression on his face

• You told him that you would stop if he didn't like it, and Cyno internally paniced at that statement.

He didn't want you to stop. Quite the opposite in fact. He wanted you to keep doing that. He really loved reading that note

After he told you about that and how it made him feel, you could very clearly see that he was embarrassed about this whole situation, so please don't tease him any further. He can only take this much

But, after that evening, he did find more notes from you, and he keeps each and every one in his drawer at his office

Makes it a point to kiss you for every note you wrote for him that day. It's his way to show you that he loves and appreciates the gesture as well as you. Which, you certainly won't complain about

Kaveh

The first time it happened, he honest to God thought that it was a mistake from you

Since Kaveh was living with you, it was a common occurance for him to be locked up in his office whenever he was head over heels into a new project

he often forgot to eat and sleep, basically forgot to take care of himself, so you had to step in

on that particular evening, Kaveh was so engrossed in his work again, that he didn't even really notice you enter his office to bring him his portion of dinner

He vaguely remembers your touch on his head and cheek, and your voice, reminding him to eat at least a little bit, before he was already focused again

A good hour later, he decided to take a break to eat the food that you so generously brought him, when his eyes landed on a little piece of paper right next to his plate

'Please don't overwork yourself too much. I love you' was what it read

At first he was confused

Why would you resort to writing stuff to him, when he was right here in the same house, only a few rooms apart. You could have simply told him that

Then he thinks about it for a second and realizes that he was doing this. Basically ignoring you and himself, just to focus on his work. Sure he was passionate about it, but it meant nothing to him if the prize was you and your wellbeing

He really thought that this was some well thought plan of yours when your only intention was for you to tell him that you love and support him, even when he's so engrossed in his work

From now on, whenever he finds a note from you, he makes sure to give you an extra dose of his attention, so you better not complain about it

Wanderer

The first note he found from you, he didn't know what to do or think of it

It happened when he way out for the day by request of Nahida, since she needed his help with something outside of the city

when he found your note in the pocket of his shorts, and read it, his initial reaction was confusion and then embarrassement. But more so embarrassement because of his cheeks turning red and the feeling in his stomach that betrayed him

He liked it. And he didn't want to admit to it, not even if he was by himself

He felt loved and cared for, and it was so confusing to him, yet it was also everything he ever longed for

when he returned that night, he knew by the expecting look in your eyes that you were waiting for him to say something about it

but he didn't

and so you continued to hide little notes in his clothes for him to find, and every day he would read something else on them

it honestly made the Wanderer feel some kind of way, but he would never admit it out loud

but maybe...

one night, he came back as usual and you were greeting him, nothing out of the ordinary

except for him. He came straight towards you and brought you in for a hug

You were obviously confused by his sudden affection, but would never turn him down

and when he whispered a soft and very low 'thank you', you immediatly knew what this was about

all in all, Wanderer really, deeply appreciates this little gesture of yours, but he still struggles with expressing himself, so please give him some time to figure all of this out

Surely one of the people who will love this type of partner the most would be Jonah, because his love language is physical touch itself. Not even to take a sunbath, was almost impossible. The boys end up being glad that they managed to get you to stay home because it meant that all your attention would be on them now. And nobody else 's.

These boys seem to have a lot of lies because to be able to lock you up for 4 months just by fooling you is pretty impressive.

…and now? The Headcanon could end here if you want, but I kind of have a few more ideas… Let's assume that with that little time at home, it ends up manipulating your emotional state and you get to the point where you're always down because you can't leave the house anymore on your own? And your affective side starts to become less visible to the boys? They go crazy.

Not so much at first, because they just think you need a little time to get used to this new quarantine routine. You would later forget about all this discouragement and go back to delivering hugs and kisses like you always did! However, not everything is a sea of flowers, because they were very wrong with this hypothesis.

A whole week had gone by and you were still upset. You didn't even give a good morning hug affectionately and a kiss on the forehead of good night like you always did! And the biggest sin was when you stopped wanting to sleep with them to go sleep on the couch. All this to not look directly at them.

They kept you in this house for four months straight and made up so many lies for you or someone else. They didn't have this whole plan just to dismiss you from the others and you just started to get sadder! They couldn't have a sun as radiant as you so sad.

Things don't seem to be getting any easier with time, least of all you. They love you very much but if you don't want to take things the easy way then it was totally your choice.

Over the next few days, one of the things you notice the most is how heavy your eyes are lately. You're so drowsy that sometimes you can't get up from your seat without falling or needing someone to help you. Noticing your somewhat sluggish behavior, they suggest that you go and lie down with them to regain your strength and energy. And, without much thought, you agree.

With your drowsiness, it was harder for you to refuse these suggestions from them yourself, it's quite hard to even think of what to think when all you want to do is just lie down and close your eyes! You don’t remember how you ended up in this predicament, but if you had a guess, Shu probably looked at you for far too long and then you ate something. And knowing Reiji, that was probably enough for all of this to happen.

“W-What… did y-you do..?” You coughed out and tried to stand, but only your hands could offer some kind of support.

“You’re far too smart to not have an idea and far too dumb to keep getting yourself in repeated trouble.” His back turned away from you. He took a tall beaker and held it above his head. You were right about one thing - Whatever you ate last was what got you here.

Reiji took off his glasses and massaged the temples of his head, ruining his slicked hair. “Is this a cry for attention? Or do you sincerely like it when other men give you attention? I’d demand an answer, but getting it out of you my way is a guaranteed method for you to tell the truth.”

He knelt down, his black blazer almost touching the floor. That’s when you heard metal clinking. “Chains?”, you thought to yourself.

Like a messed up greek comedy, you were semi-right.

“A muzzle should fit you perfectly,” It was made out of leather with an iron strap at the back. “I don’t know what’s compelling me, but I don’t want to hear your excuses just yet. If you want to cry out, you should’ve cried out my name when my brothers approach you.” Reiji knew he was going completely out of line. There was no logical reason for him to be this frenzied.

Emotions were never logical.

Especially jealousy and a constant inferiority complex.

You didn’t have time to wince, as he threw white porcelain around like they were water balloons. They didn’t hurt him, his skin was thick in all the ways metaphorical, but they for sure were going to hurt you in all the ways physical.

Ruby eyes lit up iridescent ‘neath the moonlit room. You didn’t know if Subaru was going to choke himself first in his huffs and breaths, or if the choking would stem from his shaking hands around your neck. “YOU THINK HE’S BETTER THAN ME, DON’T YOU?!” The ‘He’ in question was Kou.

Subaru himself didn’t understand what was making him so riled up. His throat felt like they were stomped on by metal boots when Kou began whispering to your ear. It felt like there was tiny, rhymatic walking of a centipede marching under his skin when Kou kept hogging your gaze. Was the problem really Kou? Hard, booming punches cracked cement walls.

As you stared at Subaru, his anger didn’t subside, rather it grew.

Somehow, he knew that you were currently thinking of Kou. Although you were thinking about how he may be the cause of his dooming anger, without context, the fact that you were thinking about another man made his stomach twist and turn.

“FINE! I GET IT! YOU THINK I CAN’T FIND ANOTHER FOOD SOURCE?! HA!” Subaru felt his throat growing raw. “YOU PICKED ME! SO WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THAT FUCKING MUKAMI?!”

Behind this rage, you saw a sensitive little boy who waited patiently every dew for his mother to look down from the prison tower. You saw a little boy who knew how to make flower crowns out of any flower, but chose not to because his rosy cheeks lit up pink if anyone knew.

You saw a little boy who was ready to be loved, and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as he had mentally imprisoned himself in his mother’s yearning for love; the same way a certain man had imprisoned her.

Yet, the little boy was nowhere to be seen.

All that your eyes could see was a red-eyed man stepping closer and closer. His footsteps were silent, and his anger finally stopped making noise. The Youngest’s frame loomed over you and without a hitch, your sense of mortality did too.
