Disclaimer: not a native Thai speaker, still learning 🙏

Ongsa and Sun

At first, Ongsa wrongly assumes that Sun is older so she calls her พี่ /phi/, speaks respectfully and wais her:

ขอโทษค่ะพี่ /khaaw thoht kha, phi/

Then they settle into these pronouns:

☀ Sun: เรา /rao/ -> Ongsa (calls her เธอ /ter/ once when she asks her name)

🌐 Ongsa: เรา /rao/ -> Sun

-> เรา /rao/ is an informal 1st pers. pronoun that pretty much all the students in Ongsa's class seem to use

Later, when they're texting, it takes Ongsa entirely too long to catch onto the fact that Sun thinks Earth is a guy because-

คุยกันมาตั้งนาน เรายังไม่รู้เลยว่านายชื่ออะไร /khui gan maa dtang naan. rao yang mai ruu loei waa naai cheuu a rai/ -> นาย /naai/ is a male 2nd pers. pronoun

While we're talking about their texts, the subs have this weirdly mixed up:

1 - ฝันดีนะ /fan dee na/ = lit. dream well/good dreams, 'Sweet dreams' 2 - ราตรีสวัสดิ์ /raa dtree sa wat/ = formal, 'Good night' 3 - Similarly, Sun's มอนิ่งนะ /morning na/ is a more informal 'Good morning' compared to formal อรุณสวัสดิ์ /a roon sa wat/ or polite สวัสดีตอนเช้า /sa wat dee dtaawn chaao/

When Ongsa isn't gay-panic hiccupping, she's actually really clever and witty! I'll get to her ig posts in a second but there's also this moment:

ยังสวยอยู่เลย /yang suay yuu loei/ สวยจะ หมายถึง ซวยอ่ะ /suay ja- maai theung- suay a/

The difference in pronunciation between these two words is just the tone - สวย /suay/ (rising tone) means pretty vs. ซวย /suay/ (middle tone) means unlucky

ถ่ายรูป ด่วน สี-ขาวดำ /thaai ruup duaan see khaao dam/ = urgent/express black-and-white photography caption: ยกกล้องมาถ่ายแทบไม่ทัน /yohk glaawng maa thaai thaaep mai than/ = almost didn't raise the camera in time to snap this

caption: เงา-เหงา /ngao-ngao/ = shadow-lonely -> เงา ๆ /ngao ngao/ is an expression that means indistinctly, faintly

The difference in pronunciation is, again, in the tones - เงา /ngao/ (middle tone) means shadow vs. เหงา /ngao/ (rising tone) means lonely

I love this SO much omg It's a pun on ประทับใจ /bpra thap jai/ = impressed, but also a visual pun!!

ปลา /bplaa/ = fish + ทับ /thap/ = placed on top of + ใจ /jai/ = heart

caption: สู้ ๆ นะ เป็นกำลังใจให้ /su su na. bpen gam lang jai hai/ = Fighting! Rooting for/encouraging [you]!

Another visual pun! This one's only funny if you know what peaches are called in Thai: peach = ลูกท้อ /luuk thaaw/ - but the word ท้อ /thaaw/ in there? It means discouraged!

Alpha, Aylin, and Luna

🔝 Alpha is Ongsa's older sister: พี่ /phi/ (used as a 1st pers. pronoun) -> แก /gae/ (informal 2nd pers. pronoun)

👽 Aylin is their cousin, in the same grade as Ongsa, and speaks pretty curtly, almost like someone would on two-way radio: she doesn't use any pronouns apart from this once-

แกกำลังบุกรุกที่ของฉัน /gae gam lang book rook thee khaawng chan/

Omitting pronouns is possible and not uncommon in Thai but doing so constantly, combined with her monotone speech pattern, low voice, and mostly a lack of ending particles, it does stick out! It doesn't really come across in the subs tbh (apart from including the way she refers to people as humans = มนุษย์ /ma noot/):

ไม่ต้องแคร์ใคร /mai dtaawng care khrai/ = Don't need to care about anyone.

🌙 Luna, Alpha, the two bullies, and Mawin all seem to be in the same grade because all of them use the impolite pronouns กู/มึง /guu, meung/ (=I/you) amongst each other - how very fun to finally hear some GMMTV girls talk like this :D

I love Alpha and Luna teaming up to beat up scold these two dipshits:

im gonna start a fight; and, at the same time, i need you to take this in the most good-faith way possible, but:

videos that involve body-checking and intentionally (and uncritically) show a mealplan of an unhealthy number of calories are just a revamped version of pro-ana food diaries.

and yeah, i know there's arguments. i address some of them under the cut. but at the end of the day, we're just coming back to romanticizing mental illness; we've just found a better platform for it.

this is already something we've done. we knew it was wrong and tried to stop it. and tbh. it just wasn't enough.

there are people who argue "well, what if you have an eating disorder, you can't help it if you don't eat!" except that as someone with an ED; we are not infants. we know what we're doing. part of having an ED is that you are like, maybe too self-aware. even if we can't help our own food choices, we don't need to fucking romanticize the disorder - something we've been warning you about since 2013. there are hours of setup, filming, and editing that go into these videos. they do not happen to fall into place randomly. there is a reason they are pieced together to be beautiful, bright, inspiring.

there's this woman who pretty much only posts daily plans under a normal amount of calories, and everyone defends her saying but it's better than nothing! and i'm like. except she opens those with images of her showing off her body and provides no context in the video or caption that suggests that she believes what she's doing is unhealthy. she has hundreds of thousands of followers on a platform designed for young kids and teens. i refuse to believe that by accident her content just happens to be cheery advice on "healthy" versions of starving.

for any other symptom of mental illness, we would be incredibly enraged by this kind of placid acceptance of a "tips and tricks" fast-start guide. imagine if people posted pink & pretty videos saying "best places to cut yourself" as if it was a fucking storytime. we, as a society, are so fucking fatphobic that we would rather accept blatantly harmful displays of self harm than admit that we are obsessed with a hyper-thin body type.

i am not suggesting someone never talks about their disorder. i talk about mine. actually, it's a plot point in my book.

here's the difference: i recognize it's a fucking mental illness. i am very careful to never mention a specific weight, eating pattern, or calorie plan. i always make sure to position it as something that ruined my fucking life. i do not put cheery music in the background and hearts and sparkles over my worst moments. i do not film it in bright light. i do not start each passage with an image of a thin body followed by "here's how to look like her."

eating disorders should not be framed as aspirational. and the problem is that society worships the "after" image, so long as you don't get too sick. there is a reason so many people who quit being "influencers" will later admit - i wasn't eating well that whole time; an obsession with food was completely destroying my life.

we let any uncredited, uncertified person write the most backwards, fucked up shit about how to get the body you desire! because the underlying, secret belief is: well, at least they're thin! and the real thing that fucking gets me each time - they make fucking money off of it. their irresponsibility and societal harm literally pays off for them.

"why do you care so much." "don't like it don't look." "so what if people experiment with new ways of thinking of food?"

thank you for asking. we're about to get extremely personal. it's because when i was 18 i discovered "thinspiration"/"thinspo." and it absolutely influenced, shaped, and codified my pre-existing eating disorder. i went from having some troubling habits and traits to being incredibly unwell within what felt like a matter of days. there were actual pages designed to train me on how to have an ED correctly. it was all so suddenly easy. i was sick; and the nature of the illness meant - i wanted to be sicker.

it takes an average of 7 years for a person to fully recover. i know this personally - even now, 10 years from the worst of it, i still fucking struggle. i am so much happier now and i eat what i want and i literally don't think about food at all (19 year old me would shudder) and yet - i still fucking know the calories of plain toast with butter.

an eating disorder is one of the deadliest types of mental illness. over 1 in 4 people with an ED will attempt suicide.

and i'm sorry. i just do not see the exchange rate of "high rate of engagement" versus "the value of a human life."

#and there's something else in there about like ....#tbh once i got over something like 1k followers #i stopped being specific about my ED for a REASON.#yes on ur personal locked blog that u use like a diary go ahead etc #but we are OBVIOUSLY not talking about that. we're talking about the sheer NUMBER of people i could be talking about #in that one paragraph. that you and i probably were thinking about 2 different influencers #bc they get to say that they're just posting FITNESS and if it's FITNESS it's OKAY and im like #jesus christ lord almighty #every person in recovery from an ED: this is incredibly dangerous holy shit do you know how much this would have triggered me #each of these ppl: how dare you!!!!!!!!! i am only harming those who WANT to engage with my content!!!!!#their followers: leave them alone !!! they can't help that they make an hours-long choice to frame their disorder as if it was #fucking cottagecore !!!!#like girlie this person needs THERAPY #again! i didn't even have that large of a following before i IMMEDIATELY deleted any specific mention of calories food etc #bc i recognize responsibility and i didnt EVER want to even ACCIDENTALLY encourage this #and im not even GETTING PAID FOR THIS!!!#aND THEY ARE!!!#something something something they know this content makes them money #they don't give a SHIT about u babe

Riddle Rosehearts - I don't ljke him. If we're talking pre-overblot he'd banish you to that headlock thing with his unique magic if you ever tried to ask him out or flirt with him. Post-overblot hed be really shy in getting into a relationship but wants to be cared for and protected. But he's not standing up for u in front of his mom tho you'll have to deal with her urself

6/10 he’s a sweet boy, just too bossy and not assertive enough to his mom. Divorceablity is quite high with this one.

Cater Diamonds - low-key relatable to me. BUT. His slang gets annoying after a while. His constant posting without peoples permission is weird too. Picture this. He's meeting your family for the first time, and you sit to have dinner. Cater takes a pic of you guys and posts it with the caption "With bae their fam, I'm a bit nervous guys wish me luck!🥺"#girldad #boymom #saveme Your family assumed it's his humor. WRONG. It's his way of coping with his uncomfortability. When it's silent during dinner he says" OH EM GEE GIRLYPOPS!!!, this food is so SLAY💅!! Tysm bestiessss" Your family gives him the nastiest side eye. He never speaks again.

7/10 he seems to be a pretty sweet and understanding person, just needs better ways to express himself . Also he calls your mother queenie.

Trey Clover - he’s an interesting guy. You'll typically see him as an npc, but he's much more than that. Have you seen his *tips fedora * "m'lady" stare?? Yeah there's definitely something strange going on there. He's a pretty family oriented guy tho, and he loves to bake for his s/o and to provide comfort and care.

8/10 he's probably one of the more normal ones that I would actually date. Or be friends with. Just keep one eye open when your sleeping with ur with him tho

Ace Trappola- I don't understand how someone could even like him. He's the kinda kid to push you off the swing during recess and when you tell the teacher he'll go like "NUH UH!! THEY HIT ME FIRST!!" . Plus he's canonically not a good partner lmaoooo

3/10 he’s not even a middle schooler. Too pebble brained. Don't date a gremlin like him. maybe if he finds someone like him he might maintain a steady relationship.

Deuce Spades- no thoughts head empty. He needs a little direction in life but he's got a goal in mind. He's a lil stupid but he's getting there. He's such so sweet and silly you have to love him. But he needs to mature a bit before entering a long term relationship

6/10 not my type, I would go for his mom instead. Plus his dad is literally dr.eggman, that explains everything. but yeah he's got what It takes, be kind to him. He's fragile. Like an egg.

Leona Kingscholar - girl he is 21 years old he should be in the CLUB!!!!! But no. He's sitting alone eating Kentucky fried chicken alone on a Friday night. If he really wanted someone, he could go for it, but he seriously can't be bothered. If you do manage to get him attached to you it'll take him a while to fully love you as much as you love him, as well as put in the same amount of effort .

7/10- I don't think he genuinely needs a partner. He's got his own issues to sort out. But when he falls, he falls hard. I wonder how hard his abs are.

Ruggie Bucchi - Rugbartholomew !!!! The scrunkly. The scrimp. It'll be so fun horsing around with this guy. Being his s/o is like being his partner in crime. It'll be fun, and you guys support each other . He really cares abt his loved ones and always tries to bring something to the table for them, literally and metaphorically. Midnight runs to seven eleven. He's working 10 jobs at a time. He's EMPLOYED. He's a boyemployee. He just needs his girlboss to complete him.

5/10 he's a bit scummy tbh. It'll take him a while to fully trust someone. He’d do some sleazy things for money. It also gives you the ick when he smells donuts and starts floating towards them.

Jack Howl- he's surprisingly normal. He's got a set sleep schedule , he's healthy, he has set routines, and healthy coping mechanisms. But that's the thing. as much as he is such a caring and gentle lover, these routines take up most of his life and time. He would be waking you up at ungodly hours for a morning jog only for you to pass out midway to Mount Kilimanjaro. .

7/10 -he dates for marriage, and he’s really serious about his future and starting a family. So he’s such a loyal and protective guy. He's just too much of a gym bro. He prefers pre-workout over partners. Also he unironically likes alpha/werewolf quotes.

Azul Ashengrotto- I love him so much. He's so me guys you don't get it (capitalism) but that aside, HES SO DAMN WEIRD LMAOOOOOO like he thinks he has rizz but he just looks like a Reddit 'nice guy'. Legitimately says m'lady. He gives off the fake dating trope to me. He'd date you to get something out of you but then actually fall hard bc he's touch starved and longs to feel emotionally vulnerable but is afraid of it. So he's an absolute mess in a relationship and needs a lot of reassurance. But yeah he's pretty bitchless

7/10 he's gorgeous, but he sounds like that one pufferfish singing thing. I relate to him a lot so he gets points. Also since his parents are divorced he definitely has a high divorceability. I have a theory in the works that since we don't know who his biological father is, it might just be Mr. Krabbs. Like it's never said he's a full octopus (to my knowledge). SpongeBob and squidward are Floyd and Jade respectively. SpongeBob X twisted wonderland when?

Floyd Leech- he drank battery acid as a baby. Like dude you're in love with a nuclear fission bomb. If you like Floyd, you're just as fucked up as he is. It's okay tho, he's a very physically affectionate guy and may be overly possessive and obsessive but that's just his charm dw abt it. He also does thing like "if you hug me, expect a little nibbling on your earlobe 😝" and he bites off your entire ear.

2/10 his kisses taste like fish and sheet metal, and he licks short peoples heads when no one's looking.

Jade Leech- if you saw him eat mushrooms well no you didn't because if he eated mushrooms then he would have not eating mushroom bc no . His version of love is psychological warfare . He’s a mysterious guy. Let's set a scenario for him. You're sitting in the monstro lounge. You see a tall, dark and handsome man across the bar with a mysterious aura. You catch his gaze and quickly dart your eyes away. But his never stop staring at you. He comes up to you and you guys chat naturally . He buys you a drink, your favorite actually. He knows all the ways to make you swoon. He’s so dreamy. Then he says that he put cyanide in your drink as joke. Then he lets it slip he's been stalking you for days. You find out his a wanted criminal. And end scene. Yeah that's romance with him.

4/10 he's an attentive and observant guy, but sadly that's way before you guys are dating and he's a psych ward escapee.

9/10 he's a bit vertically challenged and sometimes summons ancient demons by accident. He whispers sweet nothings into your ear in forgotten languages.

Silver - he's the female gaze bro. He's gorgeous . He’s legitimately a normal dude. But I don't think he's even been near a woman before. No rizz. Just soldier and eepy. But he definitely wants an s/o who can care for him a lot considering his narcolepsy. It's something that worries him a lot, and needs a person who's full of love to give, not only to him but to his family. But you're always welcome to nap with him underneath a tree in the warm sun.

7/10 he's a bit narrow-minded, only having a few goals set in mind and a strict regimen as a soldier. You have to work around that and his disorder in order to be his s/o. It's a lot dude. Especially when he leans in for a kiss but falls asleep inside and hits his head on the way down and gets brain damage.

Today was like any other at Blue Lock, you had Ego roasting everyone, (Y/n) and Anri trying to get him to eat something healthy and the boys doing their own thing with training. By now it was lunch time and the players along with (Y/n) were sent to eat as Anri and Ego went through some papers and plans for the upcoming trainings, as well as the match with the U-20 team.

'I am so hungry... Bachira kept me away from eating the whole morning. Why did he ask me to watch his dribbling even?!'

The girl blinked as she walked towards the cafeteria, cringing as she heard loud screaming from her friends.

"I am not dealing with this today. I think Ego-san has left some unattended yakisoba in the fridge." The girl said with a bittersweet smile. As much as they were annoying at times, she held the team close to her heart.

'They are good guys... but I am not dealing with their shenanigans today.'

Now the cafeteria wasn't like this the whole time, since 20 minutes ago it was very quiet and the boys were honestly minding their own business. Well that was until Nagi logged into his phone and saw a rather peculiar post. He raised his eyebrow in disgust as he read the caption on the post.

'Going to meet this cutie soon🩷'

"How did Oliver Aiku get a picture of our manager?" Nagi whispered to Reo, who was sitting next to him. The question caused his friend to spit out his drink and look at Nagi in shock and confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"He posted this... now that I look at the picture more, it could be the one when she went to help out during a JFU press conference."

"Give me that!"

Nagi let Reo take his phone, while he was seething on the inside.

'Now I regret not sneaking off that day. With my frame nobody would have gotten a picture of her.'

"This can't be for real... Oliver Aiku, the biggest player Japan witnessed!" Reo groaned, catching the attention of Aryu and the former Team Z members.

"What is it with Oliver Aiku?" Aryu asked, walking over to the table.

"Don't tell me you are afraid of playing against him." Chigiri teased.

"It's not that... just look." Reo groaned, showing Aryu the post. The boy stopped playing with the ends of his hair when he read the post, looking in horror at the pro-player's post.

"Not him of all people! We need to keep (Y/n) as far away as possible! He is too ugly to be in her presence. "

"I know! But how?"

"This is such a hassle... can I just hit him in the head with the ball or something?"

"What is this about (Y/n)? And what does Aiku have to do with her?" Baro questioned, the cafeteria now completely silent when they mentioned the girl's name.

"Oliver Aiku seems to have some interest in her. Look." Aryu sighed, giving Baro the phone. The long haired boy sat down as what was left of Team Z approached them.

"What do you mean? How does he even know about her?" Bachira pouted, while Kunigami and Gagamaru were on high alert.

"This isn't good, we can't let that bastard near her." Isagi added as Chigiri nodded his head.

"Especially with his history with women... Yeah, (Y/n) is way better off not knowing him." Otoya added, a little annoyed that the pro-player knew of their manager.

"So what's the plan? It's not like all of us can stay around her all the time."

"Are we fighting?" Kurona and Karasu came, curious as to what they are supposed to do.

"We can't really do that. There will be a lot of cameras, and with Oliver Aiku being as popular as he is, they will follow every move." Yukimiya said, adjusting his glasses as the rest groaned. Rin kept quiet as he searched for the said post to see it with his own eyes, and sure enough it was there. What made it worse in Rin's eyes was that even his own brother, Itoshi Sae liked it. That pretty much set a blaze of anger off and Rin got up from his seat.

"Well that's the only option we have. Some of us will be on the bench or be called for a switch. We need to keep that guy away from (Y/n)." Rin said to the group, who all nodded their heads.

"Alright then! It's settled, we are doing our best to win against the U-20 and keep Aiku away." Isagi said after he finally calmed Bachira down.

"Of course. Can you imagine that asshole near (Y/n)?" Baro tsked, not liking that image in the slightest.

"Right! (Y/n) is so sweet and kind, Aiku is totally not for her." Aryu sighed as the others nodded along.

"Right, she is suited for someone like me." Otoya added suddenly, earning glares from his fellow teammates.

"Hell no! (Y/n) doesn't even know you that well! I am more her type, she is so calm and collected, perfect for me!" Bachira said, sending a warning glare to the white/green-haired boy.

"Her type? Bachira you are rough and wild, there is no way (Y/n) will want to be with you. Me on the other hand, I am the perfect gentleman." Chigiri said smugly. Kunigami rolled his eyes at the redhead's comment along with Gagamaru.

"Then I am the perfect candidate, also physically I am superior too, who else will protect her when it's necessary."

"Now when we talk about physique, I am far superior than you are. My queen would be much happier with me." Baro said, getting into Kunigami's face.

"Well, (Y/n) might not be into muscles. Besides, with the way she is always so kind and sweet to me, I am sure I am winning."

Isagi's comment irritated Rin and the younger Itoshi got into his face now.

"You winning next to me? We all know the best striker wins here, and that is me. Keep your hands off of her."

"You all are acting as if I am not in the clear win here, after all I am the richest. I could offer (Y/n) anything her heart desires." Reo added with a pout as Nagi shook his head.

"I think she would prefere a calm and quiet life. So I am the ideal partner there, you lose."

"Nagi, shut up!"

"I think (Y/n) and I would be a good match too. She looks happy when talking to me." Gagamaru commented while his face turned red.

"That's in her glamorous nature, Gagamaru." Aryu added while sighing.

By now the whole cafeteria was in total chaos, a mix of arguments over who the better match for (Y/n) was or singing praises about the girl.

Outside, (Y/n) and Hiori were playing rock, paper, scissors on who will yell at them to stop.

"What even started the argument?" (Y/n) asked, sighing at her loss as the boy shook his head.

"I don't know. I was practicing my dribbling and then came to you." Hiori said, blushing a little at the closeness.

'She smells really sweet today~'

As the day of the U-20 and Blue Lock 11 match approached, (Y/n) grew more and more anxious, hoping the boys will be able to handle the pressure. The whole of Japan was watching and she did her best to be on the call as soon as one of her friends needed help. Barely paying attention to anyone outside of her team, (Y/n) never noticed how every time Aiku tried to approach her or how one of the boys, usually Baro or Kunigami would whisk her away or glare at the player.

I didn’t like Tommy’s story either. I’m currently listening to the episode and so far I love it. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into it, specially the background sounds. But fans can be disappointed that the format of a series was changed after months of not hearing from it. I don’t think people are ungrateful, they’re upset with how Smosh dealt with this. I think it’s unfair to completely disregard people’s concerns

i agree with you, completely honestly, i really don't want to seem ungrateful or like i'm being too negative about this whole thing, i'm going to try my best to listen to the sword af 2 episodes when i can and obviously i understand there's immense hard work and dedication that goes into making something like this, from what i've seen here on tumblr it's great so far- im not intending to disregard that!!

similar to you, though, i'm not too happy the way this was dealt with & announced - my major gripes are that their considerations for people who are deaf/hard of hearing/have auditory processing issues were only made after the backlash of the first announcement? like wdym you're making it into a whole podcast but didn't even think about people who can't listen to it? like not once in the entire process of shifting mediums? as far as i know (please correct me i'd love to be corrected, i hope i'm wrong) there haven't been any steps taken so far about that- i haven't seen any captions/transcripts posted by smosh games or any statements after the 2nd community post on yt where they addressed the backlash on what their further steps are to make this more accessible

it also feels strange to me that they were so silent about it for so long- maybe if they'd made the announcement earlier/gave at least a little info we'd already have had this conversation about inclusivity and captions would be available along with the 1st Ep so everyone can keep following the story they absolutely love as it releases

You woke up cold.

Freezing, actually.

Shivering while trying to burrow further under your covers, you blink your eyes around your room confused. Groaning in annoyance, you reach for your phone to check the time, the dim light blinding.

2:07 a.m.

Great...so I've only been asleep for an hour.

You had a few notifications on your phone the very first one that caught your eye being an alert from the school.

🚨!!!ATTENTION!!!🚨 All students in the SOUTH dormitories, we have just been notified that the heating system has stopped working. We are working as fast as possible to get someone in the morning to check out the issue and hopefully get it resolved as fast as possible. If you know anyone staying in a different dorm that is willing to accommodate you, we encourage you to take the offer. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. The safety of our students-

You groan and lay there in silence and stare at your closet, debating whether or not to risk what warmth you had to cross your freezing room to grab a sweatshirt and put warmer pants on. Deciding not too, you pout and bury yourself under the covers, tucking the blanket under your head to conserve heat as you think about what to do.

Your best friend is also in the South dorms, so staying with them isn't reasonable. You open your phone again with the intent to message them when another notification caught your eye.

brainwxshed followed you

brainwxshed sent you a message: hey...did u get back to your dorm okay?

You furrow your eyebrows and tap on the username, wondering who it was. Their account was small, with not too many posts or followers. The majority of the posts were pictures of sketches drawn in an art journal.

Really good sketches. Interesting.

There weren't any selfies showing who the person was, but you spotted a picture of a familiar cat sitting on a window sill looking outside. The caption read: "it's her dorm tbh...i just live in it."

Ahhh...Hitoshi.

You smile, following him back, and return back to the message seeing that he sent it an hour and a half ago. You felt a twinge of guilt for not seeing it before you went to sleep, but you had avoided your phone completely after receiving Touya's message.

Disappointment quickly flashes through you before fading to disgust.

Shaking your head, you decide to reply, not knowing if he was still awake.

you: hey! yeah i got back okay, thank u for checking 😊

Surprisingly, the message was read almost instantly as he started typing back.

brainwxshed: thats good. i was wondering if u were okay bc Touya came back pissed lol

You roll your eyes as he typed out another message.

brainwxshed: but knowing how he is, i can only guess what he tried to do. u don't have to tell me, but i know u can hold ur own around him from what i saw earlier 👀

A small smile finds its way to your face as you respond.

you: yeah im not that kind of girl. and im definitely not one to be messed with😤

brainwxshed: i can tell. kitty's a lil fiesty~

Despite your shivering, heat rises on your cheeks and you couldn't find any annoyance or disgust hearing the teasing name come from Hitoshi.

brainwxshed: so why is the kitty awake at this hour?

You bite your lip.

you: apparently the heater is broken in the south dorms...I was going to message my friend and try to figure out what to do.

The reality of your situation sinks back in and you frown.

brainwxshed: shit i saw that message...do u need a place to stay? u can stay with me. Kat is at an internship out of town but i'll stay in his room and u can have mine.

Shocked, you don't know how to respond as he starts typing again.

brainwxshed: i don't know about ur friend though...we only have the couch?

Leaving him on read, you quickly find your bestie's contact and shoot them a text when you see they had already messaged you earlier.

Oops.

bestie: pls don't be mad at me but remember that guy from the party?? so he invited me-

Sighing, you understand what they're trying to say. Sending them a quick response saying it was fine, you go back to Hitoshi's message. Am I really doing this?

You don't even know Hitoshi. Compared to Touya, Hitoshi didn't seem like he was trying to get you into bed but who's to say he wouldn't try anything when you get there. However, there also wasn't anyone else on campus that you knew who could let you stay.

Teeth starting to chatter from the cold, you had no other options.

Fuck.

you: i don't want to intrude or anything...

brainwxshed: fuck i thought i scared u off. no srsly its ok and it works bc my brother is out. my heater is fine and u already know i got spare blankets

you: 😭😭 thank you omg i owe you big time. ok let me grab a few things just in case.

brainwxshed: dont worry about it. i'll come pick you up. what's ur dorm room number?

Texting him your room number, you whip the covers off and freezing air hits you like a ton of bricks. Cursing out loud, you stumble towards the closet looking for a travel bag to shove clothes in. Picking up random clothes you deemed warm enough for walking to class tomorrow you throw them in. Quickly, you move on to your other necessities and hygiene, placing everything in a smaller bag.

You were done packing in no time, teeth chattering violently as you change the clothes you had on into something warmer. One of your larger hoodies was in the back of your closet and you sigh in relief, throwing it on.

Hopefully I won't be there for long.

A knock sounded on your door just as you unplugged your phone charger.

Bounding over to the door, you grab your bag along the way and open it, seeing Hitoshi bundled up under a scarf, only his eyes visible.

Trying to smile through chattering teeth, you close and lock your door behind you with numb fingers.

"I actually think it's colder in here than it is outside," Hitoshi sniffles. "Where's your friend's dorm?"

Turning back around you clutch your bag closer to your side, itching to get somewhere warm. "H-huh?" You look at him confused.

"You said your friend is in these dorms too?"

"O-oh! Y-yeah, they're staying with someone already." If you weren't busy trying to ignore the cold starting to settle in your bones, you'd see the shyness flicker in Hitoshi's eyes.

He shakes his head and nods towards the exit. "Let's get you out of here."

The two of you basically sprinted back to his dorm, trying to get some blood moving and warm up a bit. "I hate the cold," you call after him, hearing him snort as he came to an abrupt stop outside his door to unlock it.

"You and me both." He opens the door for you, motioning you to enter first. A soft meow was heard along with something brushing against your legs.

"Hello again Mimi," you reach down and scratch her behind the ears softly before standing straight to look around awkwardly. As you do, Hitoshi undoes his scarf, revealing his lip ring as he rolls it into his mouth, undoing his coat next.

You gulp, trying not to stare as he takes off a layer of clothing. It was weird being back here especially since none of his other friends were around to break the ice.

"Thank you again for letting me stay here...and I'm sorry for intruding."

Hitoshi smiles, tossing his coat on the back of a chair, and crosses his arms to lean against the kitchen counter and look at you. "That's the second time you've apologized for intruding. Actually, the fourth time if you count when you came over earlier to watch that movie with us."

You purse your lips, not really knowing what to say. "Well...you didn't have to accommodate me, and just not have even bothered, but you did so-"

He laughs lowly, purple irises crinkling as they glint in amusement. "Chill, (Y/n), I wouldn't have bothered if I wasn't interested." Hitoshi must see the irritated look on your face when he said that, so he backtracked, clearing his throat. "I'm just teasing you, kitten."

Oh.

Hearing the nickname in person was very different from reading it. The flush on your face was definitely visible and wow...it was warm in here. If Hitoshi notices, he doesn't comment on it and pushes off the counter. "Let me show you to my room."

Panic starts to bubble up again as he brushes past you. "Relax, (Y/n). It's where you're going to sleep. I'm going to Kat's room, remember?" He whispers low in your ear making goosebumps start to form on your arms as he waits for you to turn and follow him.

Gulping, you take a deep breath and try to calm yourself. He's not Touya. He's not Touya. He's not Touya- You turn and force a small smile, not being able to look at his face.

You feel Hitoshi's gaze linger before he turns and leads you down a hallway. Feeling like you made it awkward for assuming something, you scramble to think of something to say.

"You said brother?" Recalling the text he sent you earlier, you try to aim for something family-friendly.

"Hm?" Hitoshi drawls, opening the door to the left and walking inside. You follow, scared at first but your jaw drops in surprise seeing the beautiful room in front of you. Straight ahead was a large drawing board desk which was pressed up against a window. Potted plants hung from the ceiling around the window and over the desk giving off an earthy/chilled vibe.

A bed was tucked into the far corner of the room, and next to it was a small nightstand that held a Totoro diffuser which was releasing a lavender scent into the room. Now the vibe of the room made sense and you awed silently, appreciating the vision and the fact that his room was clean.

And it smelled nice. Really nice.

"I'm obsessed with your room," you say in awe walking further in. To your left was a mossy green cat tower and an almost full bookshelf with little odds and ends placed on top.

Hitoshi was leaning against his door frame, watching you take in his room, and by the time you look at him again, he was blushing slightly. "Studio Ghibli is one of, if not, the best animation companies to ever exist."

Finally, the sketching was starting to click. "Ahh...so your major is..."

"Graphic design. Well, obviously I want to move toward animations so I might have a minor in software engineering..." Hitoshi trails off looking thoughtful. "I'm also in a creative writing course for story-based concepts."

Hitoshi seems a bit embarrassed to be saying everything he was doing, but you were shocked, developing a newfound respect for the man.

"I might switch the two actually. I don't know yet." Sighing in frustration, Hitoshi runs a hand through his hair, stressed.

One second he was fine showing you his room and the next, he looked like you just asked him for the solution to save the world from aliens. You couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled out of your mouth.

"I didn't mean to make you panic, Stress-toshi," you tease while trying to apologize sincerely, but seeing him pout makes you laugh again.

"Here I am letting you borrow my room and this is how you treat me? Shameful." Hitoshi sighs dramatically while grinning. Shaking his head, he flips his wrist to check the time.

"You better get to bed, kitten. It's past your bedtime." Hitoshi crosses his arms again and smirks at you. Pulling out your own phone, you double-check the time as well.

3:28 a.m.

"You're up too," you accuse, pointing a finger at him while placing your bag down on his bed.

"Ah~ the perks of having insomnia~" Hitoshi teases. It's meant to sound playful, but you could hear the hurt and tiredness in his voice. You frown slightly before turning to look at him fully. He was smirking, but the droopiness of his eyes stood out more with the bags that accompanied them.

Hitoshi looked exhausted.

You didn't know what to say to comfort him. Do I comfort him? Just as you fumbled around in place trying to find something to say, something flicked your forehead.

Your hand flies up in an instant, rubbing the sore spot, seeing that Hitoshi has walked up to you. "I have some...ways to resolve it, kitten~ It's cute to see you worry about me though."

You couldn't tell if that was supposed to sound suggestive or not, but it made your heart rate speed up anyways. "I'm not wo-"

"Do you want to help me fall asleep?" Hitoshi whispers, cutting through your denial as he brings the finger that flicked you to trace down your jawline.

Now THAT was suggestive.

You bat his hand away and turn towards your- Hitoshi's bed. "Oh wow, look at the time. I'm tired." Yawning, you're about to pull back the covers when you realize that Hitoshi is still in the room with you.

His room.

And he's watching you climb onto his bed.

Hitoshi must be able to read minds because the laugh he let out made it clear he knew what you were thinking. That attractive laughter faded as he move back over to the door, satisfied with whatever spiral he sent you down.

"Sweet dreams, kitten."

The door closes and you're still stuck staring at the bed.

At least you were warm.

The bright sun is what woke you up. Snuggling further under the warm blankets, you hum contently breathing in deep woodsy lavender. It took a few seconds of your sleep-muddled brain to catch up, but remembering that you weren't in your own bed was jarring.

It was nice though, and Hitoshi wasn't that bad of a person. Sure, he's a tease too, but seeing his room and watching him talk briefly about his dream career...

You smiled into his blankets.

The smell of freshly brewed coffee hit you next and your stomach growled. Surprisingly enough, the thought of seeing Hitoshi first thing in the morning made your stomach flip. Rubbing the tiredness out of your eyes, you pull yourself out of his bed and walk over to the door, letting yourself out of his room.

You stumble your way to the kitchen, seeing Hitoshi stare at the coffee machine as it drips into his mug. "'Mornin'" you mumble, leaning against the counter, trying to wake up.

Hitoshi turns around and smiles at you. "Good morning, kitten." His voice was deep usually but hearing it even get even deeper in the morning...you cupped your hands over your face to pretend that you were rubbing the sleepiness away when in reality you're suppressing a shudder.

"Sleep good?" He asks teasingly, a knowing smirk on his face.

"'S too early," you mumble, staring at his coffee longingly, not even bothering to entertain him right now. Hitoshi hums in amusement.

"Did you see the text yet?" He asked smoothly and from your confused silence, Hitoshi turns to you to elaborate. "From the school. It might take up to a week to get the heater fixed." He motions to the coffee. "Want some?"

Your eyes flutter from the sudden intake of information. "Wait...what?!" Hitoshi snickers watching you panic.

"Relax, you can stay here."

"But-"

"Nope."

"Hito-"

"Nada."

"I-"

"Coffee?"

You purse your lips and narrow your eyes at his victorious grin. Nodding in agreement, you jump up on the counter to sit, now wide awake and alert. While processing everything, you look around the kitchen, basking in warm golden light despite how cold it might be outside. Your eyes finally land on Hitoshi who had turned away from you to look for another mug in a cupboard.

He was shirtless.

Your eyes zero in on the large tattoo of flowers blooming across his back. The shadowing of the flowers enhanced by the muscles of his back, leading to a narrow waist. You had only ever seen Hitoshi with long sleeves on, so this was the last thing you were expecting.

Not that you were complaining.

Entranced, you watch him reach up to the top shelf, long defined arms grabbing an extra mug before turning around. Your breath leaves your lungs in a quick swoosh seeing nipple piercings.

You clear your throat, quickly diverting your gaze to anything else. Hitoshi doesn't say anything and just takes your mug to the coffee machine, replacing it just as his finished.

"So, you and Touya, hm?" Hitoshi calmly asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

....what?

"I think you mean me and nobody." You correct firmly, crossing your arms over your chest.

Hitoshi watches you over the rim of his mug, eyes crinkling in the corners. "Why not?"

Tilting your head, you blink once, knowing he already knew the answer to that. Hitoshi snorts and you ponder again out loud, "I thought I told you last night, 'why not.'" Making air quotes, you lower your hands to grip the edge of the counter.

Hitoshi shuffles closer to you, the sun highlighting his torso beautifully, your throat going dry at the sight.

"Hm...so the kitten only likes 'good guys.'"

Hitoshi stops in front of you, lower abs almost brushing your knees. You force your eyes away from his stomach, eyes catching on another tattoo on his ribcage, before meeting his eyes.

"Yeah," you sit there rolling the term over in your head liking the sound of it, "good guys like you!"

Hitoshi quirks his pierced eyebrow and smirks, taking another sip of coffee before setting it down next to you. Realizing what you just said, you try to backtrack and explain yourself, stuttering and flushing.

You were fully aware nothing articulate was coming out of your mouth so you just stopped trying. By then, Hitoshi had inched closer, and your legs unconsciously spread to let him in.

Crowding your space, he leans forward as you lean back, hands having to catch your balance on the counter space behind you. He braced his hands on either side of your thighs, trapping you in. Your heart skipped a beat knowing you could only lean back so far unless Hitoshi was going to actually lay on top of you. His eyes were lidded but determined, his fingertips just brushing the sides of your thigh teasingly. "No one said I was a good guy either, kitten."

Your breath catches in your throat watching Hitoshi's gaze flicker down to your lips and back up to your eyes. It was silent except for the pounding of your heart in your ears. A lazy smirk appears on Hitoshi's face as he tilts his head to the side, inching closer to your lips.

"Well, I could be a good boy..." Hitoshi says huskily, pausing to heighten the anticipation, mouth parting slightly as his eyes flicker back down to your lips. "...I can be good just for you~"

His words felt like they were whispered across your lips, a silent but deadly promise dipped in honey. A whine bubbled up in your throat, overwhelmed with what was happening. Everything felt hazy and slow, making you fall deeper into Hitoshi's eyes.

Eyes fluttering, you manage a small "hm?" now zeroing on the ghost feeling of a metal lip ring. You could almost feel it against your lips and oh how badly you wanted a taste.

"Yeah?" Hitoshi breathed out coyly, his fingertips now drawing circles on your outer thighs. "Want me to be your good boy?"

Releasing your bitten lip, your mouth parts as you stare at Hitoshi wantonly. His teasing smirk drops as his eyes lowered more, yours beginning to close as well-

"'Morning 'Toshi! Ready to go get some coffee?! I'm also thinking donu- Oh."

The both of you were too consumed in each other to hear the door unlocking and opening to a cheerful Keigo who was now standing silently with his jaw dropped open.

You quickly lean back further, pulling away from Hitoshi your face burning in embarrassment. Keigo looked shocked but also somewhat embarrassed to be walking in on something that he shouldn't of. For once, he was speechless. You were too frozen to move, not knowing what to say as your eyes moved from Keigo to the figure towering behind him.

Your heart leaps into your throat seeing Touya's expression. It was dark and angry twisted with jealousy and hurt. For someone you could never tell what he was feeling, you could see everything now.

"What's going on here?" Touya asked, tight-lipped as he forced his way further in the room, pushing Keigo slightly to the side as he started Hitoshi down.

It was then you notice Hitoshi still hasn't moved.

Using your opposite foot not visible to Keigo and Touya, you kick him lightly in the leg to hopefully get his attention. It seems to work as he slowly moved away from you, not before grabbing his now lukewarm coffee. "I offered (Y/n) a place to stay since the South dorms heater broke down." Hitoshi says smoothly, taking a sip of the coffee while staring back at Touya over the rim.

Touya seemed to be gritting his teeth, trying to figure out what to say.

"O-oh! I heard about that! Are you okay, (Y/n)? Did you get any news yet if they fixed it?" Keigo desperately tries to break the tension, looking at you eagerly for help.

However, you were too busy praying that the ground would open up and swallow you whole. You couldn't even look into Keigo's eyes knowing you and Hitoshi were caught doing...whatever that was.

"Actually, another message came out this morning saying that it might take up to a week to get the correct parts for the heater. Isn't that right, (Y/n)?" Hitoshi answers Keigo's question for you, still staring down Touya.

It felt as if you were holding your breath with how suffocating the tension was. You take a risk and glance up at Touya who must've sensed that you moved to look at him because his eyes move to yours.

All at once, the weird anger dissipates from his body, going back to his usual poker face.

Confused, you feel the tension evaporate as you take a chance and glance at Hitoshi who also seemed a little weirded out by Touya's 180° turn.

"Uh...yeah." You answer back, shifting on the counter and looking back to Keigo who looked bewildered.

Clearing his throat, Keigo steps back up next to Touya and turns to Hitoshi awkwardly. "Right....so....coffee and donuts? Yo and Tomura are going to meet us there."

Hitoshi finally turns to look at you, a questionable look on his face. "You wanna go?"

Staring at him only made heat rise to your cheeks again, a knowing look flashing in Hitoshi's eyes which didn't help.

"Yeah, that sounds good."

I could go for a donut right about now...

Keigo walked next to you the whole way and you could just tell that he was itching to ask questions but didn't know where to start. It didn't help that Touya and Hitoshi were walking in front of you two talking about god knows what, the weird tension from earlier--nonexistent--like it never even happened.

That only seemed to make Keigo more restless and it's only going to hurt him more when you tell him there's nothing to say.

You didn't have any answers.

I wish I did.

Instead, Keigo mindlessly talked about the ending of the movie you skipped out on, filling you in even though you didn't ask. You watched Touya's back instead, mind drifting to what he texted you last night and if he meant it by the way he acted when he saw Hitoshi on you.

Your eyes narrow, feeling conflicted.

The two boys in front of you stopped, Hitoshi pulling the door open to let everyone through. The scent of freshly baked donuts and roasted coffee filled your nose making you smile in bliss.

"Mmm!" Keigo hums, pulling you away from the two brooding alpha-men and over to the glass case to look at the donuts. "Ooh~ (Y/n), how many are you gonna get? Look! They have raspberry glazed!"

Half-expecting Keigo to start interrogating you, you're grateful his attention is diverted elsewhere. You look at all the options and decide on two, Keigo still struggling with what he wanted. After you paid, you turn to see where Touya and Hitoshi went, seeing them in a booth with Yo and Tomura.

Tomura catches your eye and waves sweetly, calling you over. Beckoning you to sit next to him, you do, only to realize Touya was sitting in front of you. Avoiding eye contact with him, you dig in your bag a pull out one of the donuts you just bought, biting into it carefully.

"Hitoshi was just telling us about your dorm situation," Tomura prods, looking at you with pity. "That sucks...but it kinda works out since Kat is out on leave."

"Okay! I bought a dozen!" Before you could respond, Keigo comes bounding over to the table with a large box of donuts and a drink carrier full of coffee orders.

He passes them out and sits next to Hitoshi.

"What the hell do you need a dozen donuts for?" Yo scoffs, face twisted as it looked like he was still trying to wake up.

Keigo rolls his eyes. "To share with all of you!"

Yo was already reaching for the box before Keigo finished his sentence.

"Anyways..." Tomura directs your attention back to him, waiting for a response.

"Uh...there's nothing really to say. I'm really thankful he offered me a place to stay until everything gets fixed." You tentatively say, finding yourself treading your words carefully.

Tomura looks to Hitoshi, who was eating a paw-shaped donut, for more details. Mid-chew Hitoshi looks up during the silence, seeing everyone stare at him.

"What? That's it." He takes a swig of the hot coffee Keigo bought him, innocent eyes staring back at all of his friends. Keigo makes a disbelieving noise that dissolved into a cough as his leg jerked under the table. The group of friends got quiet and you've never felt more like an outsider.

Yo sat on the other side of Tomura, chewing noisily, eyes still half closed and hair still messy from bed. He looked so lost and confused, it almost made you laugh.

"The fuck are you guys on?" Yo mumbled, shoving the rest of the donut in his mouth before reaching for another. Before anyone could say anything again, a shrill voice called out.

"Touyaaaa~" The girl wraps her arm around Touya's neck, bending down as she stared you in the eyes over his shoulder. "Last night was soooooooo fun, baby~"

You quirk your eyebrows and take another bite of your donut, almost laughing at this girl trying to claim Touya in front of you. You just happened to be sitting in front of him. There was absolutely nothing-

Last night?

Your eyes widened considerably, your mouth frozen open just before you could even take a bite. This time you did look at Touya, only to see a small fire burning low in his eyes as he was already staring back, not even paying attention to the girl hanging on him. You jerked back, and placed the unfinished donut back into the bag, no longer hungry.

"I'm going to the restroom," not waiting for a response, you excuse yourself from the table, ignoring the way the girl was giggling and whispering in Touya's ear. You felt lightheaded and winded, blindly making your way down the darkened hallway to the bathrooms feeling sick.

Just before you could reach the door, a body crowds you from behind pressing you against the wall. You didn't even have to turn around to see who it was.

"Touya. Get off." You didn't understand why you were upset. Believing in Touya's sweet words and the little hope it gave you.

"(Y/n), I didn't-"

"Off."

Touya backs off, only giving you enough space to turn around. Before he could open his infuriating mouth again you jab a finger in his chest.

"You know what? You're EXACTLY the kind of guy I know you are and the petty little promises you make don't mean shit because Touya's going to do what Touya wants to do." Tears blurred your vision and you felt stupid that this was even making you upset.

Why are you shocked, (Y/n)?! He's proven you wrong for the second time now!

Touya's eyes widened as you stared him down, a lone tear slipping out of your eye. Lost for words he didn't know what to say until his eyes narrowed back.

"Oh? But you and Hitoshi are just so fucking close, hm?" You reel back hearing Touya spit Hitoshi's name vehemently.

"Are you...jealous?"

Touya jerks slightly at you calling him out. A new realization hits you and you wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Taking a deep breath, you wipe the lone tear and blink hard, steadying yourself.

"Let me get this straight. You're jealous I'm staying with Hitoshi, jealous that I have to be around him, but you can go out the same night after telling me you only want me and fuck the next pussy on legs you see!?" Spitting out the bitter truth, you scoff.

Touya looks like a deer in headlights as his back hit the wall. During your rant you had stepped forward, finger still pointing at his chest as you pushed him away. He tilted his head back hitting the wall as his eyes closed, gulping loudly.

"Fuck~" Opening his eyes again, a low groan escapes his mouth and you reel back, looking at Touya's flushed expression.

"You sick fucker," you snarl, torn between finding this incredibly hot or incredibly disgusting.

"I can't help it doll, you look so sexy when you're pissed," Touya breathes out, staring at you with so much intensity, waiting on your next move.

No longer hurt, you contemplate what to do in this situation. Touya looks like he was seconds away from begging and you felt a thrill knowing you had gained some sort of power over Touya. Bracing a hand on his lower abs, you lean up to his ear, pressing the front of your body against his to purposely feel his hard bulge press into you.

"Bad boy~"

You twist and throw his words back at him from last night before pulling away completely. Not even sparing him a glance, you turn and walk back out of the hallway and over to the booth, Hitoshi already staring at the entrance when you emerged.

You smile innocently to let him know you're okay.

The slam of the bathroom door back down the hall had your smile turning into a smirk.
