Looking at your fem Bakudeku stuff, I have made a head cannon: Bakugo either doesn’t care about her hair or does. Either way, she wears it her own way and doesn’t like people messing with it.
Except Izuku. Izuku wears her hair in little pig tails and always asks to put Katsukis hair up like that. She puts little All Might clips in.
YEAHH !! Good headcanons ! I have so many thoughts about their hair to be honest, if I share them all it's just gonna be word vomit on a page lmao, but hair is super important to me! Here are some other sketches I did :) !!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like the idea of Deku having long-ish hair up to junior high, and cutting it before UA! (I had a mini comic planned with her getting gum stuck in her hair right before the first day of school ohshc style and bakugou helping her cut it out, but I don't think I'll ever get around to actually making it)
I also imagine she's got a bunch of fun hair accessories! (like you said, she's definitely got all might hair clips, probably a whole stash lmao) The clips I drew Bakugou in on this post were a gift from Deku :') and I really like the idea of Deku putting her hair in a half-up/half-down style similar to her mom !
In my mind Bakugou wouldn't care too much about the way her hair looks, but also she really does actually cause she hates the "wow you look just like your mom!" comments lmao. I can see her doing her best to style it differently or keep it longer/shorter, just to stop some of the comparisons.
Aside from that, I think she'd also probably want to keep it out of her face, putting it into ponytails or pinning it back, especially when the class is training or she's out on a work study. Nothing worse than blasting off and getting a mouthful of hair </3
And yeah, I just really love the idea of them playing with each other's hair! Braiding it, brushing it, chatting about their day as they use a million goofy hair clips, I need it so bad

My past weirdly Bleedman inspired characters
I contemplated posting this cause it was weird & I felt like talking about past shit but forgot about it. I'm posting it now cause I found a video talking about Grimm Tales from Down Below & how weird it was. For some reason it made me decided to make this post.
Before I say anything I want to say I don't follow Bleedman anymore & mostly only followed/was a fan of him when I was a kid. I say this because Grimm Tales(along with many other stuff) was weird & as a child I was oblivious of how Mini Mandy's affection towards Junior was.(Nor understood how weird some shit was)
That being said another explanation(that this post was meant to start off with) is that when I was a child before I realized that I should look up the Bleedman comics my only way to watch them was to hope someone put the comics up in videos.(Like how I use to find dounjishi in the wild west of Youtube when people could put anime/cartoon episodes in 3 parts) I was able to watch a little of Sugar Bits & a lot of the early comics of Bleedman's PPG comic. Anything I knew that wasn't in the comics was in AMV stuff.(A specific one I saw had These Words I'll Never Say by Avril Lavigne)
These characters were inspired by Grimm Tales from Down Below & their story is based on what I originally thought Grimm Tales was about cause I've often had weird moments of random guessing. I'd see bits about something & cause I was unable to see the whole thing my imagination would go wild. An example is the movie Home(with the purple aliens) I was under the impression the girl/human companion/main character was a teen that had issues/a fight with her mom that led to running away from home & now she wants to find her mom & make amends. In reality it's a girl that was dealing with the invasion for a few days(hard to tell due to passing at the start) trying to cope with the kidnapping of her mom when they were getting use to having moved to a new home & was trying to find her missing mom.
So as I said these two characters are inspired by what I thought Grim Tales was from what little I knew from AMV videos.(Which at the very least had the prologue pages were Junior & Minnie were visiting the flowers & a pic of Minnie being torn apart) I don't remember when I made these sketches just know I tried to recreate the Bleedman art style. I have no idea if I could do this again & do not want to try.
Tumblr media
The idea is some how this teen girl managed to get stuck in hell with no idea how to get home. The grim reaper's apprentice ends up making friends with her & the two end up on an adventure through hell as the apprentice tries to help his friend return home unharmed.
The idea is that she does eventually make it back home after a long adventure but are separated since the apprentice doesn't belong there. If you want a bittersweet ending then going the ragdoll route then the apprentice fails to keep her safe leading to the girl getting torn apart. The apprentice with help manages to put her back together as a ragdoll but thanks to all of this she's unable to return home however she & the apprentice are able to stay together as friends & go on more adventures together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I dunno how I came up with the names but I guess I named these two Juliet & Cody at some point. Looking at these pictures I think at one point I was going to turn them into talking sprites for a game I never got to.
Juliet: A stubborn/strong willed girl that some how fell into the underworld or something managed to drag her in. While curious about the place she's currently stuck in Juliet would really like to go home. The skulls in her ponytails are pendants meant to protect her on her journey through the underworld to find a way home as well as make people think she's associated with the Grim Reaper as a way to leave her alone. Cody has one on one of his ears & it seems Juliet has managed to break through his distant behavior. Despite her stubborn/at times headstrong behavior she can have a friendly side & sometimes teases Cody.
Cody: Cody is the apprentice of the Grim Reaper, he at some point use to be a teenager that ended up dead/taken to the underworld. His appearance has become altered over time partly thanks to his boss trying to both repair him & make Cody stronger. The Grim Reaper despite his stern behavior & dark nature seems to consider Cody his son. Cody doesn't like his boss & this might add into Cody's often distant behavior. Despite this he seems to have managed to make a few connections & seems to be willing to help out in certain situations. There are moments were he still acts possibly like how he use to be before ending up in the underworld, he doesn't like the fact he's short.
Tumblr media
I dunno why I drew this, I actually had to alter it a little
Cody doesn't like the fact Juliet is making fun of him for being short. This also shows what memes were popular at the time kind of.

I've vaguely mentioned her in a previous post but here's my Welcome Home OC/ Self-C. Her name is Emira. Emira Eagerly. Emi for short. Alike me, she uses all pronouns, (she/he/they), and is genderfluid. Oh! And after realizing her design was alike the Joyfuls, i decided she'd be related to them somehow. Like, first cousin once removed, maybe?.
Anygay, this is just an art/info dump to get her out there, i didn't feel like curating a post to get likes, so yuh.
I'll be using she/her pronouns for Emi only so it doesn't get confusing xd // the green text is kinda like the words i exaggerated while theoretically talking
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's my first real sketches of her <33
Tumblr media
Ignore the crappy Julie drawing lmao. I made a poopy mini comic about Emi getting a haircut.
I do heavily multiship WH characters. Mostly me multishipping Wally x Julie, Julie x Sally, and Wally having a crush on Eddie (the other characters i ship aren't multiships, just regular ones like Poppy x Howdy and Frank x Eddie). This is all to say that i also multiship Wally alot. And so, i both hc him as pan and ship him with my own OC (and some other peoples' OCs that are really cute). I also hc Wally as having a bit of a preference to guys, sooo, when Emi cut her hair, Wals was like awooga.
And yea, that's basically what the mini comic was. Emi cut her hair and this caused Wally to start crushing a little.
Tumblr media
Colored!!
I think atp i did figure out that i wanted Emi to be a fashion designer/ seamstress.
Tumblr media
Other outfits!! Yippie!! - I really love the party outfit. The shoes, ahhg! I wish they really existed.
Tumblr media
Hehe, lil (crappy) sktech :·)
Oh yeah, i kind of had the idea of Wally drawing out the patterns for Emira when she was overwhelmed with ideas and didn't know where to start on an outfit. She'd just waffle about her ideas with Wally. Probably assumed he was drawing an apple or something, but oh? What's this? You drew a whole template for the dress i was rambling on and on about!! Thank you, Wally!
Tumblr media
Her house :·)
Tumblr media
AHHHH i love this drawing!!! Em and Emi, Emira and Emira, she and he, they and they, idc how to describe it, just.. genderfluidness!? And also, the outfits!! I just loved drawing them, I'd hella wear them irl. Especially the belt. I wish i had that 1970s belt irl!! I also loveee how she has longer hair and shorter at some point, meaning i can basically give her any hairstyle i want in my art!! It doesn't have to be consistent (unless it's a comic) - :·)) // this took me about 3hrs. And i barely took any breaks, that's how much i enjoyed drawing her!! Ahhh!!!
Tumblr media
I was just looking through Pinterest and got the inspiration!! Well no, not just that. I failed to mention b4 that I'd like to think in the WH Halloween special, Emi attempted to dress up as a biblically accurate angle.. but it scared the kids tm (not actually, it mostly scared Frank) so she changed!! Her alternative costume was a clown!!. - And while, no, i didn't draw her as a biblically accurate angle, i did still make her an angle!! :·)
I do like this drawing, butttt my original sketch was way more expressive than this one. My second sketch was definitely more stiff, however i still went with it bc the first sketch was kinda wonky when flipped. Whoopies!!
//
Now i can ramble about Emi wayyyy more. I have so many more headcannons, comics, and crappy little drawing not shown here but this post is getting to long!! Buh bye, now loves <33!!!

Hello, Miss @minijenn, So I created this mini kingdom hearts comic sketch/storyboard. It's not done and I'll have a little explanation and +maybe a follow-up sketch? If anyone would like that...
But for the sake of having 20 million KH projects since the "go ahead" and the fear of never posting not even one I thought it would be nice for you to see some of these sketches, especially this comic one I made.
I don't think you understand Ms. Jen how much you inspired and motivated me within the few months.
I have a deep love for your story Keys and in the many years of reading I believe it is not only the best and only best series within the KH fanfiction/archive of our own readings but the best one ever written (Plus art! never forget the awesome art!)
So, I hope you enjoy it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So... this might be a little confusing... but I can explain!
So for the comic here is a simplified version of it if you don't want to read too much.
Sora becomes the puppet and pawn of Malfeincent and Master X. and gets merged with Vanitas.
He has amnesia and follows their orders.
Kairi and Riku had been looking for his world after world but lost the charms that Kairi made them.
Sora who had been watching them decides to make an appearance by maleficent orders to take them down.
Sora gets a sudden headache at his familiar name as he was renamed The prince of Darkness or 'prince' or 'my prince'
His thrill and craving for violence and fight (on Vanita's part) fight Riku
-o-
And that's it... but if you want a follow-up for this, I'll try and see if I have time. I didn't want to be creepy or anything but ironically enough I had also moved to a new apartment and went on a vacation and now I am bedridden and locked in my room for fear of mosquitos that have literally bitten every inch of my body.
since I can't rant this to many people I'll just say the good and bad news about the move.
The good news is I had moved into a 100+ yr old victorian old apartment.
The bad news is I had moved into a 100+yr old victorian era old apartment...
It's disgusting and I hate it because it needs a lot of heavy repairs and guess who has to clean up a lot of some really disgusting things?
you guessed it! ME!
I am giving a warning to anyone who even thinks of coming to Egypt for a vacation.. this place is a literal hell.
If you want to go to hell come to Egypt.
-o-
Hers's a longer explanation of my thoughts if you would like to read it:
So this has a lot of Keys influence in it as well as other KH lore and my Ideas.
So... what if somewhere along with the plot of keys (and this would be if Maleficent had been still alive) Sora is at his weakest... His darkened heart was just a flick away at completely fragmenting. Vanitas appears in front of the argument about who keeps Sora. Master X. as his vessel or Maleficent as her pet. Vanitas is angry at both choices and more pissed off at Sora for being weak and stabs Sora with his Keyblade.
Now, Vanitas at this moment holds a lot more light than Sora but a great portion of darkness as well and they strangely fit in harmony and they merge. But they don't quite forge the X-Blade... although their bodies had synchronized perfectly their minds definitely were not.
Sora's mind becomes lost, fragmented, and broken. A broken record between now, then, and futurewise.
Vanitas tries to rein in Sora's mind, tries to shake him out of this stupor he was in but to no avail.
Between the screaming, self-pity, anagizing of Soras display Vanitas makes the heavy choice of taking the lead of their bodies.
But because a large majority of control comes from sora Vanitas focuses primarily on suppressing Sora all the way down within their mind and heart, sealing the boy safe and tucked.
Doing so, a large portion of Vanitas's mind gets stuck with that task and hence he has quite a bit of Amnesia but he keeps a lot of his personality but a lot of features of our current sora from keys plus some added features.
Maleficent and Master X. meet at a compromise after finding out that sora/vanitas conveniently has amnesia. Using it to their advantage and other influence Sora/Vanitas become the ultimate Heartless Vessel.
The horns and tail claimed. plus green eyes by maleficent.
The Dark purple skin of darkness and Yellow eyes of Master X.
The small Red part in his eyes represents Vanitas plus a lot of his personality is influenced by Sora's body and actions.
also, Maleficent has so much influence on Sora that he thinks of her as his 'original' mother figure and 'fixes' the cracks of Sora's keyblade with her poisonous vines.
So now, once again... Sora is Maleficent's servant and Master X's puppet... He stands as the face of darkness... A prince if you will... the prince of darkness...and destruction.

WIP tag (with a twist!)
The fantastic @catholicnicky tagged me for a really cool WIP game 🤩🥳👏🏻❤️
Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have wips. (You can make your own post or reblog this one!) I have deemed that this isn’t just for writing either. Sketch titles? Comics? Dnd campaigns? If you have an unfinished project, it counts!!
WIPs across the hobby board Pirate shawl knitting 2 different spinning wheels have two different wool being spun (no spoons to work on them T__T and its usually a winter hobby)
Floral dice: friends 2 year anniversary project (trying to make them clear without a pressure pot) Owl bear Hydra Silver dragon Sphinx lady I can’t remember her name (need more variety in paint) Embroidered dice mat Watercolor on wood painting of my rogue
Embellishing my Artificer who keeps getting thrown into situations he doesn’t know how to handle Mandalorian AU with friend- its my post and poor kid just had an emotional breakdown against his Mandalorian and doesn’t know what to do now other than keep hugging the metal man
Break the wall hoodie (involves bleach) Cyberpunk hoodie (so many ideas)
Collapsible 3d printed sword
Paint pouring + silver/gold leafing
Rearrange art wall for a corner shelf to place Hydra figure in battle with mini figs
Books in process of reading: Grandmaster of Cultivation Vol 3 Fevered Star Guilded Wolves
Ren fest outfit- need added bits and bobs for random elf guy New job interview outfit. Business casual but gender affirming and comfortable to wear a lot Halateez outfit for concert I’m not going to but really want to go
Trying to learn how to style my hair or cut it better for styling with no effort
There are probably alot more things that I am working on and can’t remember. My sketch book is always an “in progress” thing which I will pick up for drawtober. I just don’t have the spoons after work to keep working on things which sucks. I usually get the “lets do it!” vibe like half an hour before I’m supposed to go to bed for work the next day unfortunately.
Also brain is foggy so I might @ people later

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ever liked my posts, commented on my posts or just looked at my posts! Thanks a lot, everyone! I love you all very much, although you probably already forgot about me lmao. I got so much feedback. When I tried to create an account in 2018, I got 0 likes. I didn't know why but I got a little upset and deleted all the posts. In 2021 i tried again and i got some likes! And today I have quite a few of them!  More than ever had. Ihave 121 likes on that Sportarobbie Valentine's day mini comic i made.  That's a huge number for me! And also 141 on that digital sketch of them. Then i was so obsessed with the quarry game. Thank you for 133 likes! I had some other social media accs and, you know, there 5-10 likes was a normal thing. So 100+ likes is a really huge number for me.. I'm very grateful and i want you to know this.
Now, the worst part of this post. It's so depressed and i feel so guilty because of it.
I feel a big responsibility. It's hard.  I'm so afraid to post anything. I very rarely draw.  sometimes I'm busy, sometimes I'm not in the mood, and sometimes I just prefer to do something else (play games). I started all over again many times. Started to become some kind of an artist again. I have changed my nickname many times. All in order to forget this guilt i have. Guilt that I'm not active enough to be an artist. Guilt that I'm not active enough to be popular.  Popularity is not my goal, to be honest.  I almost never worried about likes or comments. Views are what was important to me. From the views, I can know that people saw it.  People don't always like or comment, so likes and comments are not that important for me. What do i want?  Inspire and give a sense of comfort.  I was so happy to see that my pinterest pin got 19k views and 230 saves. I thought "someone saved this. someone needed it. someone found it interesting and inspiring. I'm happy."  Someone else's art gives me the reason to live. Seeing my ships and favorite characters that other people are actively drawing.. it helps to stay alive. This is what I wanted and still want to give to others.  But I'm not active enough.  Many times I tried to think like "forget it. just post. let it be like an archive for your drawings. even if no one sees, even if no one finds out. it will remain here forever for you as evidence that you are not  lazy". I hate laziness so much. I hate that I rest and sleep. I often stay up late thinking "you can't go to bed, you will waste your time. you could do something more useful." And the next morning I feel so bad from not sleeping that I pass out and can hardly stand on my feet. And then I hate myself even more.
This is a great responsibility.  I love lazytown. I'm so multi-fandom. I am into 30+ fandoms. But it's such a big responsibility for me. The fact that people expect lazytown drawings from me when I want to draw genshin, for example. When I want to draw warrior cats, for example. When I have my own OC, personifying me in this world. I'm so afraid to post something else. A lot of people told me that being a multi-fandom artist on tumblr is hard. Those people told me that you can even get hated because you are multi-fandom. But I know artists on tumblr who draw about 5 fandoms. And those artists are very loved by their followers.
This is a great responsibility. Being an artist and posting means being active. Oyherwise all followers will leave. I don't need many followers. I mean it's not very important for me whether I have 10, 100 or 1000 followers. I just want to know that someone needs my art. And I want to know that I'm not nobody. That I am someone special. That my nickname will be remembered, I will be recognized. I have always dreamed of drawing requests. You give me an idea and I draw it. All are happy. You got your art, i got a cool idea. That's why I wanted a tumblr account. But now, when I draw so rarely, when I regularly disappear. Can I do all this now? Maybe I really should just post and not think about anything. Someone will need it. Someone will find me and follow, like and save my drawings, someone will be inspired to draw, too. I get inspired very easily.
I can look at a drawing and want to draw too.  That's why I love YouTube videos so much where artists show their sketchbooks.
I feel like I need to tell you why I'm like this. Why I don't post and why I disappear. Why I used to draw lazytown, then the quarry, and now other fandoms. I'm so afraid. But I always come back. Maybe nothing will happen after this post.  Maybe I'll disappear again. Maybe I'll play games all day long. Maybe I'll be busy with my studies.  And maybe I will draw trashy drawings that I don’t even want to post it. I haven't drawn much this summer. I used to draw a lot and often. I don't know what's scarier. Get hated for this post or not get any feedback and understand that everyone has forgotten me. I really want to delete it all. And I'm really sorry that any of you had to read this. I didn't want to burden you with my thoughts and feelings. But I feel like I should have written this. I feel a little bit safe here. It's the internet. Even if someone will write bad comments i can delete them.
I wanted to add some drawings to this post but i don't think it's a good idea anymore. I will leave it like this so i can delete it later.
This is not a cry for help. I don't need sympathy. I just feel like I can't post my drawings without explaining how I feel. I feel guilty that I decided to become an artist but couldn't handle it. Couldn't be active enough to be an artist. I will probably disappear again(because i don't have many new drawings to post), but I give a 99% guarantee that there will be no more posts like this. I already explained what I wanted. That would be enough for me to feel less guilty.
I feel stress and fear because of this post. So, most likely I will delete it tomorrow or in a couple of days. I don't like talking about myself, but I've said so much.

Sketchbook Pages 41, 42 (according to my notes)
Hope you guys are enjoying all these double uploads of art and fanfic =XD I’m just really wanting to leave yall with something to tide yourselves over!
To give some background info, I’ve been: drawing a lot of anatomy, especially legs; drawing a lot of non-FNAF fan art (because I’ve been playing old games as a comfort mechanism--I am absolutely miserable without my things and it sucks)
Page 41: I scribbled a lot of notes... Spoilers for RS Chapter... 17? Some fluff, some crazy! Will. I drew his face upside down and like... ya know without turning the paper, and it came out pretty creepy. I hate it XD I reread RS and I just really love William talking to the Spring Bonnie head. I’d probably watch an entire movie of him just crazy rambling, venting, and crying over this inanimate thing he loves. It’s really where you can tell William has gone off the deep end. Even though this was an idea I had originally, I’m glad that TSE’s actually reinforced the idea somewhat. Rewatching FNAF 6 again cuz why not... my wife and I always joke that Henry would encourage Mike to purposely fuck up the Scraptrap salvage mini-game. XD Drew a little comparison of my Mike and William, since they are very similar. The top drawings were done in a pen I prefer, but I misplaced it (like always) and had to switch to a more liquid pen and... well, my sketches get super sloppy with it since the heavier ink tends to dab and smear. I drew this spoiler sketch for Sammy and the AlmagAfton and was wondering where I got the inspiration from (pretty sure it was End of Evangelion. I’ve been biding my time waiting for my wife’s vacation to watch Evangelion 4.0 and it sucks waiting. End of Evangelion, which 4.0 is a recreation of, happens to be in like my top 3 anime films of all time, so...) ANYWAY, I decided to give CEO!Sammy a rabbit... he names it PJ... I very very much picture him like a Bond villain and that’s OK. =:) Oh, the random girl in the center is my personal OC. I wanted to draw her in the night guard uniform >>; She’s a cop in my universe, anyway...
Page 42: The top left has some scraps from other pages (you aren’t missing anything, I was doing non FNAF comic page planning underneath). These were done in pencil, hence the shade difference. Drawing faces and emotions is a huge comfort for me.Like I said before, I reread RS and it’s such a shame Elizabeth and Charlotte didn’t hang out more “on screen”, as I think Charlotte would be this quiet, mature type; Elizabeth is an impulsive and stubborn type (like their old men, I guess). So, like, Elizabeth could get Charlotte to open up more and Charlotte could teach Elizabeth some manners XD There’s a small sketch in the center of a (badly drawn) William for the scene when the Mangle prototype briefly comes to life due to the dog remnant. It’s a creepy scene in the story, even if the theory is universally hated now. It’s not something I believe, really, but I NEEDED it to happen so William could discover Remnant. There’s more angry William and a few more sketches of CEO!Sammy. I really have fun drawing him and I was refining the idea from the previous page. He’s one of many posessed by Glitchtrap, so I tried to show that... (Also, it bothers me that he looks like Rasputin from Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha 1, BUT its fine. I’ll deal with it.) Please ignore my Aerith sketches. Since my PS4 HDMI died and I can’t get it repaired and I can’t find/afford a PS5 and I haven’t experimented with remote play as a back up yet, I can’t replay FFVIIR, so I’m playing FFVII on my Switch again. Aerith is probably my favorite character of all time, so...
As you guys may have guessed I’m really revving up on inspiration to try and finish Truth Seeker... I think I will be posting more of it soon as the final two chapters of RS come out.
If you like my work, please reblog it, share it, or at least comment and let me know what you loved =:) I really wanna cater more to you guys, but I have no idea where to begin!

Tour Mom: Chapter 1
Quick A/N: I write fanfic on Wattpad pretty frequently, but I’ve decided to start it on Tumblr too. This page will primarily be MCR fanfic, which I’ve actually never written before so, we’ll see how this goes. Also, this fic takes place during the Black Parade era.
Warnings: None, except swearing if that counts.
Premise of series: fem!Reader x Gerard, basically following the relationship. But it’s a lot like the MCR x fem!Reader.
Word count: 1799
Gerard Way. Front man of the iconic 2000s rock band, My Chemical Romance. Known by many as one of the creators of the new era of rock, consisting of emo and punk themes. Having a unique voice with even uniquer songs and sounds paved the path for him to become a household names, in homes who had good taste in music. To you, he was your best friend of going on a decade, and boyfriend for half of those years.
Mikey Way. Bassist and shy guy within the band. Until you got to know him, then he became a chatter box. He could go on for hours and hours about whatever he thought of. His thoughts were basic, yet some were intriguing and could actually spark a decent conversation. Also, he was basically your brother. Your relationship with Gerard only grew that bond.
Ray Toro. Lead guitarist and the soft, nice guy of the band. Also, your best friend while touring. Ray was one of the kindest people you had ever met, he would give up all he had for the people he cared about. His hair was also great, which automatically made his better. He was, to be honest, the only other completely stable and mature individual beside you, and even then sometimes none of you could act like the civil adults you legally were. You and he would also secretly watch Food Network together.
Frank Iero. The absolute most chaotic, most childish, and most loveable individual. Guitarist for MCR, you and Frank got along very well. Usually he was busy eating something or making some dark jokes, either way he used his time in the most Frank way possible. He was secretly one of the sweetest people alive and breathing, always being able to lighten up someone’s day when it was needed most.
And then there was you. And Bob, but he was kinda irrelevant to be honest. He just kinda stayed in his lane, and you and him got along just fine. But back to you. You were technically not apart of the band, but behind the scenes you basically were. Most notably, you were Gerard’s girlfriend. But you were also the one that managed to keep the boys in line when you were away from home. You had to remind these full grown men to shower daily, to eat three meals, and to continue working on songs and not just sit and watch movies or TV all day. Without you, the tour would have been a mess behind the scenes.
“Mikey!” You called from the living room of the cramped bus.
“Yeah?” He called back from his bunk bed.
“Have you showered today?” You inquired. There was a pause which is all you needed to come to a conclusion. You sighed, “Go take a shower Mikey.” He lightly groaned, reluctantly rolling out from the mattress and walking to the even more cramped bathroom.
“Fine.” He grabbed a towel and new clothes, walking in and locking the door. Frank walked by, mouthing you a ‘thank you’. He was always big on hygiene, so were you, and so anytime you knew one of the boys had gone even a few hours past daily showering, you directed them to clean up. And they always did, reluctantly usually.
You were casually reading a book on the couch when Ray sat next to you, turning on the TV. So of course, you joined him. About 15 minutes later, after investing in one of the various cable channels you could find, you looked up to see Gerard staring you two down.
Initially, he was extremely jealous of the relationship you and Ray had. He was worried that you and Ray were more than just friends, which of course you weren’t. But, you and he had reassured your boyfriend that it was no more than just a close friendship. “Are you jealous again, Gee?” You pouted, almost making fun of him. Ray smirked. He rolled his eyes.
“I’m not jealous as much as I am worried.” Gerard now came up to you two, sitting on the arm of the couch next to you.
“Worried about what?” You looked up at him.
“That you two will run off into the sunset or some fucking fairytale shit like that.” Now it was time for you to roll your eyes.
“You’re very melodramatic sometimes, Gerard.” You told him, “We’ve been dating for five years and you still have suspicion that I’m going to run off with one of your friends.” Gerard was always extremely laid back. That was unless it was on the topic of you. Then he was protective and extremely alert.
You two were both very independent people, and your relationship reflected that. You two were never touchy feely, or too close, or too protective. Your romance  functioned much like a friendship, which you both preferred. “You know I’ll always love you, Gee. And only you.” You lightly smiled up at him, and he sighed giving in.
“I love you too.” He got up, walking back to his bunk where you knew he would probably work on some more sketched for the various comic works he had going.
Mikey finally reemerged from his shower in new clothes, heading to the small mini fridge and grabbing some carrots. “You eat all the damn food Mikey,” Frank complained from his bunk.
“I’m hungry.” He whined, taking a bite from one of the mini orange ones.
“I wish I had Mikey’s metabolism,” You began, “Eat whatever the hell you want and not gain an ounce.” “I know right,” Ray added on, “That would be nice.”
“What’re we talking about?” Gerard shouted from his bed.
“Mikey’s metabolism. And him stealing all the food.” Frank replied.
“Oh yeah, Mikey does have a great metabolism.”
“Speaking of, what do you guys want for dinner?” You asked, “I’m texting Brian right now.” Brian, as in the manager of course.
“Burgers.” Mikey and Gerard said at the same time. You looked at Ray for his opinion. “I’m good with that.” “So am I!” Frank called out.
“Me too.” Bob finally spoke up.
“So you’re not dead?” Frank responded, looking over to his bunk. You snorted.
“Alright, I’ll let him know so we can stop somewhere.” After shooting a quick text you got up heading to your own bunk to find yet another book, or graphic novel to read. Yours was right under Gerard’s, because that only made sense.
“What’cha doin?” Gerard poked his head down to see you. You rolled your eyes knowing he would pester you just to annoy you.
“You’re a pain in my ass.” You smiled at him, grabbing one of the Watchmen comics Gerard had generously lead to you, after nearly forcing you to finally read it.
You and Gerard actually met in a comic book store, you working there when you two were in college. A friendship sparked out of that, and later evolved to a romance. He scoffed as if in offense, resorting back to his top bunk. “If you’re going to be aggressive then I just won’t even try.”
“I’m not being aggressive,” You told him, “I’m being honest.” You could practically hear the eye roll from your boyfriend.
“Hey Mikey,” He had the audacity to bring his brother into it, “Am I a pain the the ass?” “Absolutely.” It took the man less than a second to answer, as if waiting to tell him, which let’s be honest, he probably was. You couldn’t help but give a soft chuckle, then giving a high five to Mikey as he walked past you to his own bed.
“Alright, the diner we’re stopping at is in about two hours you guys.” You said out loud, reading from the text Brian had sent you just a moment ago.
So for about an hour you all stayed relatively silent, shocking for all of you, except Bob. And sometimes Mikey, depending on his mood really. But for awhile you occasionally heard huffs and groans from above you. “Hey Gee?” You asked.
“Hm?” He responded.
“What’re you working on?” You heard him sigh.
“Concepts.” “Yeah, but what sort of concepts?”
“Just for a new comic.” “Lemme see.” You rose your hand up to take it, which he handed to you.
“These look great.” You complimented, skimming your fingers over the bright array of colors on his paper. “What’s the idea?” You asked.
“I’m thinking of the groups being called the Killjoys,” He began, going into a long shortened explanation.
“I love it.” You said and handed it back to him, “I think it’ll go a long way.” “Thanks.” He said and presumably continued.
Another hour of reading and light conversation passed before you finally reached one of the various road side diners you all ate at. Brian had ordered ahead, so everyone just ran in to grab their order, him of course paying. No time could be wasted on the road.
So there, the six of you sat on the couches in the tightly cramped bus, eating out of plastic containers. Gerard reached over, ripping off a piece of one of your chicken tenders, and dunking it in the ranch you got. You immediately fought back taking a bite of his burger and placing it right back.
“I can’t fucking wail ‘till we’re in a hotel.” Frank said out of the blue. Everyone nodded and hummed agreeing, too busy with their food to talk back.
“When’re we in one next?” You asked. It was rare when you were ever in one, and usually after extended periods of time and when shows were spaced out longer than one to two days you got that luxury.
“4 shows, so 6 days.”
“Finally.” Mikey almost murmured.
“Now Gerard can fuck Y/N senseless in peace and quiet.” Franks smirked. You chocked on your food as Gerard confidently nodded.
“Hell yeah.” You slapped his arm.
“Don’t deny it Y/N,” Frank said again, “It’s bound to happen.” You rolled your eyes.
“You’re absurd.” You got up to throw away your now empty food container, going to wash your hands briefly, and climbing in bed as the guys cleaned up their own food.
It was already late, and despite the even later curfews everyone had, most of the last hours of the night were all spent in your personal cubbies doing whatever you all pleased.
“Goodnight, babe.” You heard Gerard above you.
“Night, Gee.” You smiled.
“Goodnight, baby.” You heard Frank yell from his own cubby which prompted a lot of soft chuckling and laughter.
“Love you too, Frank.” You responded.
“Not even an ‘I love you’ to your actual boyfriend?” Gerard poked his head down. You rolled your eyes, giving him a peck on the lips despite how his face was upside down.
“I love you.”

ESSAY: Berserk's Journey of Acceptance Over 30 Years of Fandom
Tumblr media
My descent into anime fandom began in the '90s, and just as watching Neon Genesis Evangelion caused my first revelation that cartoons could be art, reading Berserk gave me the same realization about comics. The news of Kentaro Miura’s death, who passed on May 6, has been emotionally complicated for me, as it's the first time a celebrity's death has hit truly close to home. In addition to being the lynchpin for several important personal revelations, Berserk is one of the longest-lasting works I’ve followed and that I must suddenly bid farewell to after existing alongside it for two-thirds of my life.
Berserk is a monolith not only for anime and manga, but also fantasy literature, video games, you name it. It might be one of the single most influential works of the ‘80s — on a level similar to Blade Runner — to a degree where it’s difficult to imagine what the world might look like without it, and the generations of creators the series inspired.
Although not the first, Guts is the prototypical large sword anime boy: Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife, Siegfried/Nightmare from Soulcalibur, and Black Clover's Asta are all links in the same chain, with other series like Dark Souls and Claymore taking clear inspiration from Berserk. But even deeper than that, the three-character dynamic between Guts, Griffith, and Casca, the monster designs, the grotesque violence, Miura’s image of hell — all of them can be spotted in countless pieces of media across the globe.
Despite this, it just doesn’t seem like people talk about it very much. For over 20 years, Berserk has stood among the critical pantheon for both anime and manga, but it doesn’t spur conversations in the same way as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira, or Dragon Ball Z still do today. Its graphic depictions certainly represent a barrier to entry much higher than even the aforementioned company.
Tumblr media
Seeing the internet exude sympathy and fond reminiscing about Berserk was immensely validating and has been my single most therapeutic experience online. Moreso, it reminded me that the fans have always been there. And even looking into it, Berserk is the single best-selling property in the 35-year history of Dark Horse. My feeling is that Berserk just has something about it that reaches deep into you and gets stuck there.
I recall introducing one of my housemates to Berserk a few years ago — a person with all the intelligence and personal drive to both work on cancer research at Stanford while pursuing his own MD and maintaining a level of physical fitness that was frankly unreasonable for the hours that he kept. He was NOT in any way analytical about the media he consumed, but watching him sitting on the floor turning all his considerable willpower and intellect toward delivering an off-the-cuff treatise on how Berserk had so deeply touched him was a sight in itself to behold. His thoughts on the series' portrayal of sex as fundamentally violent leading up to Guts and Casca’s first moment of intimacy in the Golden Age movies was one of the most beautiful sentiments I’d ever heard in reaction to a piece of fiction.
I don’t think I’d ever heard him provide anything but a surface-level take on a piece of media before or since. He was a pretty forthright guy, but the way he just cut into himself and let his feelings pour out onto the floor left me awestruck. The process of reading Berserk can strike emotional chords within you that are tough to untangle. I’ve been writing analysis and experiential pieces related to anime and manga for almost ten years — and interacting with Berserk’s world for almost 30 years — and writing may just be yet another attempt for me to pull my own twisted-up feelings about it apart.
Berserk is one of the most deeply personal works I’ve ever read, both for myself and in my perception of Miura's works. The series' transformation in the past 30 years artistically and thematically is so singular it's difficult to find another work that comes close. The author of Hajime no Ippo, who was among the first to see Berserk as Miura presented him with some early drafts working as his assistant, claimed that the design for Guts and Puck had come from a mess of ideas Miura had been working on since his early school days.
pic.twitter.com/hT1JCWBTKu

Miura claimed two of his big influences were Go Nagai’s Violence Jack and Tetsuo Hara and Buronson’s Fist of the North Star. Miura wears these influences on his sleeve, discovering the early concepts that had percolated in his mind just felt right. The beginning of Berserk, despite its amazing visual power, feels like it sprang from a very juvenile concept: Guts is a hypermasculine lone traveler breaking his body against nightmarish creatures in his single-minded pursuit of revenge, rigidly independent and distrustful of others due to his dark past.
Uncompromising, rugged, independent, a really big sword ... Guts is a romantic ideal of masculinity on a quest to personally serve justice against the one who wronged him. Almost nefarious in the manner in which his character checked these boxes, especially when it came to his grim stoicism, unblinkingly facing his struggle against literal cosmic forces. Never doubting himself, never trusting others, never weeping for what he had lost.
Tumblr media
Miura said he sketched out most of the backstory when the manga began publication, so I have to assume the larger strokes of the Golden Arc were pretty well figured out from the outset, but I’m less sure if he had fully realized where he wanted to take the story to where we are now. After the introductory mini-arcs of demon-slaying, Berserk encounters Griffith and the story draws us back to a massive flashback arc. We see the same Guts living as a lone mercenary who Griffith persuades to join the Band of the Hawk to help realize his ambitions of rising above the circumstances of his birth to join the nobility.
We discover the horrific abuses of Guts’ adoptive father and eventually learn that Guts, Griffith, and Casca are all victims of sexual violence. The story develops into a sprawling semi-historical epic featuring politics and war, but the real narrative is in the growing companionship between Guts and the members of the band. Directionless and traumatized by his childhood, Guts slowly finds a purpose helping Griffith realize his dream and the courage to allow others to grow close to him.
Miura mentioned that many Band of the Hawk members were based on his early friend groups. Although he was always sparse with details about his personal life, he has spoken about how many of them referred to themselves as aspiring manga authors and how he felt an intense sense of competition, admitting that among them he may have been the only one seriously working toward that goal, desperately keeping ahead in his perceived race against them. It’s intriguing thinking about how much of this angst may have made it to the pages, as it's almost impossible not to imagine Miura put quite a bit of himself in Guts.
Perhaps this is why it feels so real and makes The Eclipse — the quintessential anime betrayal at the hands of Griffith — all the more heartbreaking. The raw violence and macabre imagery certainly helped. While Miura owed Hellraiser’s Cenobites much in the designs of the God Hand, his macabre portrayal of the Band of the Hawk’s eradication within the literal bowels of hell, the massive hand, the black sun, the Skull Knight, and even Miura’s page compositions have been endlessly referenced, copied, and outright plagiarized since.
Tumblr media
The events were tragic in any context and I have heard many deeply personal experiences others drew from The Eclipse sympathizing with Guts, Casca, or even Griffith’s spiral driven by his perceived rejection by Guts. Mine were most closely aligned with the tragedy of Guts having overcome such painful circumstances to not only reject his own self enforced solitude, but to fearlessly express his affection for his loved ones.
The Golden Age was a methodical destruction of Guts’ self-destructive methods of preservation ruined in a single selfish act by his most trusted friend, leaving him once again alone and afraid of growing close to those around him. It ripped the romance of Guts’ mission and eventually took the story down a course I never expected. Berserk wasn’t a story of revenge but one of recovery.
Guess that’s enough beating around the bush, as I should talk about how this shift affected me personally. When I was young, when I began reading Berserk I found Guts’ unflagging stoicism to be really cool, not just aesthetically but in how I understood guys were supposed to be. I was slow to make friends during school and my rapidly gentrifying neighborhood had my friends' parents moving away faster than I could find new ones. At some point I think I became too afraid of putting myself out there anymore, risking rejection when even acceptance was so fleeting. It began to feel easier just to resign myself to solitude and pretend my circumstances were beyond my own power to correct.
Unfortunately, I became the stereotypical kid who ate alone during lunch break. Under the invisible expectations demanding I not display weakness, my loneliness was compounded by shame for feeling loneliness. My only recourse was to reveal none of those feelings and pretend the whole thing didn't bother me at all. Needless to say my attempts to cope probably fooled no one and only made things even worse, but I really didn’t know of any better way to handle my situation. I felt bad, I felt even worse about feeling bad and had been provided with zero tools to cope, much less even admit that I had a problem at all.
The arcs following the Golden Age completely changed my perspective. Guts had tragically, yet understandably, cut himself off from others to save himself from experiencing that trauma again and, in effect, denied himself any opportunity to allow himself to be happy again. As he began to meet other characters that attached themselves to him, between Rickert and Erica spending months waiting worried for his return, and even the slimmest hope to rescuing Casca began to seed itself into the story, I could only see Guts as a fool pursuing a grim and hopeless task rather than appreciating everything that he had managed to hold onto.
The same attributes that made Guts so compelling in the opening chapters were revealed as his true enemy. Griffith had committed an unforgivable act but Guts’ journey for revenge was one of self-inflicted pain and fear. The romanticism was gone.
Farnese’s inclusion in the Conviction arc was a revelation. Among the many brilliant aspects of her character, I identified with her simply for how she acted as a stand-in for myself as the reader: Plagued by self-doubt and fear, desperate to maintain her own stoic and uncompromising image, and resentful of her place in the world. She sees Guts’ fearlessness in the face of cosmic horror and believes she might be able to learn his confidence.
Tumblr media
But in following Guts, Farnese instead finds a teacher in Casca. In taking care of her, Farnese develops a connection and is able to experience genuine sympathy that develops into a sense of responsibility. Caring for Casca allows Farnese to develop the courage she was lacking not out of reckless self-abandon but compassion.
I can’t exactly credit Berserk with turning my life around, but I feel that it genuinely helped crystallize within me a sense of growing doubts about my maladjusted high school days. My growing awareness of Guts' undeniable role in his own suffering forced me to admit my own role in mine and created a determination to take action to fix it rather than pretending enough stoicism might actually result in some sort of solution.
I visited the Berserk subreddit from time to time and always enjoyed the group's penchant for referring to all the members of the board as “fellow strugglers,” owing both to Skull Knight’s label for Guts and their own tongue-in-cheek humor at waiting through extended hiatuses. Only in retrospect did it feel truly fitting to me. Trying to avoid the pitfalls of Guts’ path is a constant struggle. Today I’m blessed with many good friends but still feel primal pangs of fear holding me back nearly every time I meet someone, the idea of telling others how much they mean to me or even sharing my thoughts and feelings about something I care about deeply as if each action will expose me to attack.
It’s taken time to pull myself away from the behaviors that were so deeply ingrained and it’s a journey where I’m not sure the work will ever be truly done, but witnessing Guts’ own slow progress has been a constant source of reassurance. My sense of admiration for Miura’s epic tale of a man allowing himself to let go after suffering such devastating circumstances brought my own humble problems and their way out into focus.
Tumblr media
Over the years I, and many others, have been forced to come to terms with the fact that Berserk would likely never finish. The pattern of long, unexplained hiatuses and the solemn recognition that any of them could be the last is a familiar one. The double-edged sword of manga largely being works created by a single individual is that there is rarely anyone in a position to pick up the torch when the creator calls it quits. Takehiko Inoue’s Vagabond, Ai Yazawa’s Nana, and likely Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter X Hunter all frozen in indefinite hiatus, the publishers respectfully holding the door open should the creators ever decide to return, leaving it in a liminal space with no sense of conclusion for the fans except what we can make for ourselves.
The reason for Miura’s hiatuses was unclear. Fans liked to joke that he would take long breaks to play The Idolmaster, but Miura was also infamous for taking “breaks” spent minutely illustrating panels to his exacting artistic standard, creating a tumultuous release schedule during the wars featuring thousands of tiny soldiers all dressed in period-appropriate armor. If his health was becoming an issue, it’s uncommon that news would be shared with fans for most authors, much less one as private as Miura.
Even without delays, the story Miura was building just seemed to be getting too big. The scale continued to grow, his narrative ambition swelling even faster after 20 years of publication, the depth and breadth of his universe constantly expanding. The fan-dubbed “Millennium Falcon Arc” was massive, changing the landscape of Berserk from a low fantasy plagued by roaming demons to a high fantasy where godlike beings of sanity-defying size battled for control of the world. How could Guts even meet Griffith again? What might Casca want to do when her sanity returned? What are the origins of the Skull Knight? And would he do battle with the God Hand? There was too much left to happen and Miura’s art only grew more and more elaborate. It would take decades to resolve all this.
But it didn’t need to. I imagine we’ll never get a precise picture of the final years of Miura’s life leading up to his tragic passing. In the final chapters he released, it felt as if he had directed the story to some conclusion. The unfinished Fantasia arc finds Guts and his newfound band finding a way to finally restore Casca’s sanity and — although there is still unmistakably a boundary separating them — both seem resolute in finding a way to mend their shared wounds together.
One of the final chapters features Guts drinking around the campfire with the two other men of his group, Serpico and Roderick, as he entrusts the recovery of Casca to Schierke and Farnese. It's a scene that, in the original Band of the Hawk, would have found Guts brooding as his fellows engage in bluster. The tone of this conversation, however, is completely different. The three commiserate over how much has changed and the strength each has found in the companionship of the others. After everything that has happened, Guts declares that he is grateful.
The suicidal dedication to his quest for vengeance and dispassionate pragmatism that defined Guts in the earliest chapters is gone. Although they first appeared to be a source of strength as the Black Swordsman, he has learned that they rose from the fear of losing his friends again, from letting others close enough to harm him, and from having no other purpose without others. Whether or not Guts and Griffith were to ever meet again, Guts has rediscovered the strength to no longer carry his burdens alone.
All that has happened is all there will ever be. We too must be grateful.

[here are their cutie marks and a sketch of their human forms that nobody asked for]
Now here’s a huge ass description for the kids™ if anyone is interested
Zap Apple
Rainbow and Applejack's first-born child and Lil' Cheese's best mate. Zap is a daydreamer and has a gentle soul, he's that one ripped nerd that likes writing and drawing things just for the sake of it. Exploring and discovering new things and places is what really makes his eyes glow (history and geography hoe), so he can be usually seen carrying his saddlebag around all the time (you never know when you're gonna need sketching and exploring supplies). Zap also loves puzzles and is a huge fanboy of Daring Do Books like Dash (and adventure books in general. AJ swears it's because Rainbow used to read so many Daring Doo adventures to her belly when she was pregnant). While he can be smart, he tends to over-thinks things, Zap has a wide imagination and is easily one of the most compassionate ponies around, though he used to be easily coaxed into fights or manipulated by his feelings. Like a good apple family member, the boy loves farm life and has a strong fraternal instinct, but his nature just doesn't allow him to settle there, though he still finds some peace whenever he's back in the environment he grew up in.
Random facts:
- Zap loved wearing his Ma's hat so much that she gave one for him as a gift in a Hearts Warming;
- He lost part of his his right ear to a bad fall when he and some friends went exploring one of his first off-limits area;
- Loves collecting comic books and stamps;
- AJ entered labor right during a Zap Apple harvest (Yep, that's exactly how he got his name);
- Inherited AJ's stare and lie detector;
- Upon noticing Zap's resemblance to his great grandmother, Rainbow nicknamed him Baby Smith.
Applejoy
Rainbow and Applejack's middle child. Applejoy doesn't take her name for granted, she's a total sunshine and bringing people happiness is what really makes her happy. She tends to be famous for getting a bunch of bruises all the time and being a little too reckless, so much so she lost two of her teeth out of pure clumsiness when she was little and had to wait until they began to grow to get them back (still has the best smile), and she also used to break her flying goggles at least once a week. The girl is also very outspoken and sincere, though it can end up being a problem sometimes. Applejoy is the family's Poly Athlete and has strong and fast wings (as well as legs, the girl is speed itself), she doesn't do very well in school but makes for it in sports and is very disciplined when it comes to it (Rainbow is her personal coach for every occasion). She hates losing, but tries her best to be a good sport and not to show she's upset most of the time. It was also awfully difficult for Applejack to handle her being all over the place when she learned how to use her wings (no need to say she was very grateful when her next child was born an earth pony).
Random facts: - Inherited Rainbow's habit of napping on trees (Applejack didn't like the idea, she was always concerned her children were gonna fall and hurt themselves for being too cloud-headed);
- Loves to indulge in her mother's sugary treats;- Rainbow started calling her junior (or AJJ) because her name abbreviation is the same as her ma's. No need to say the nickname was a success;
- Sleepwalker;
- The bandana she uses around her neck is a part of the fabric of an old sheet she used to nap with;
- Likes a bunch of crafts, specially wood-carving, but isn't really gifted at most of them (doesn't matter because she always tries her best every time).
Cider Splash
Rainbow and Applejack's youngest child and Tank's best buddy. Cider Splash a performer at heart, he's a innate dancer and plays multiple instruments very decently, he's the loudest of the bunch in every way and talks everyone's ears off (some conversations can also turn into musical numbers for no apparent reason). He's the most headstrong and stubborn out of the three, so he'll almost always get really deep into a project (or anything, really) when he sets his mind in it. He has blessed hoofs like AJ and is by far the one who ends up helping with the applebucking stuff the most, though he has a natural charm with the farm animals and prefers playing with them (his love for animal plushies wasn't taken for granted). He also indulges in cooking (mostly by Big Sugar's influence). Cider was always jealous of his sibling's ability to fly, so RD tries to compensate by taking him for a ride every once in a while and making sure he's the first one to get Wonderbolts tickets whenever they perform.
Random facts: - His love for music started when Applejack bought him a toy guitar to get him out of his tantrums when he was little. Later, his grandpa Bow Hothoof gave him a mini drum set as a birthday gift. AJ and RD weren't very happy when he started playing it all the time and making a bunch of noise, but they eventually saw potential in it and started investing in his inate talent;
- No need to say cider is his favorite drink ever;
- His bandana was a handmade gift from his Aunt Applebloom.
Florence
Fluttershy's big baby and Agate's older step-sister. Florence is a very resourceful and hard-working young mare, though she tends to spends way too much energy worrying about results and is almost constantly on the verge of outright panic (she's usually seen gritting her teeth or generally flipping out, no need to say she does not fare well under stress, specially when she is given a task to complete). Florence is known to be very sensible and intelligent, and even though she sometimes puts her own paranoia before common sense, she usually manages to find logical solutions to problems. She learned how to deal with stress by canalizing it into something productive, thanks to Rarimom (which ended up being another source of anxiety, ironically). She also has very strong beliefs, and when forced to question them, she becomes very upset. Despite that, Florence is extremely loyal and kind and will go out of her way to help other ponies.
Random facts: - Her scarf was given by Rarity, it made her feel safe when she was little, and she still uses it until this day (Her moms had to bribe with her in order to get her to let them clean and wash it after months of using it non-stop);
- Probably has OCD;
- She has also been known to retreat into her imagination when under extreme stress, often picturing peaceful, grassy fields or tranquil landscapes to calm herself down.
- Florence loves her coffee, tea and Fluttermum's pets more than her life (She loved growing up around pets, they still give her a sense of calm and relaxation. Her mom used to use them to calm her down when she was crying or couldn't sleep, she would almost always fall asleep after caressing some pet's ear for a while)
Agate
Rarity’s most precious gem and Florence’s little step-sister. Agate has been a very independent gal since she was little, she has been described as curious, monotone and sarcastic, and also appears to be more logical and mature than some of her peers, typically being the one to call them out on their ignorance, she’s inclined to remain passive and stoical to most things that happen around her. She has a fuckton control over her emotions and wears a neutral expression about 80% of the time, but is actually a pretty chill gal and has a very good (and weird) sense of humor. Agate has a great eye for photography (specially Avant-garde stuff) and turns out working as a professional photographer in the future.
Random facts: - Lowkey a huge mystery fan and computer nerd;
- Has a huge soft spot for Fluttermom's pets since she first came in contact with one, she can’t help but to smile the whole time she’s around them;
- Discord's favorite gal right next to Fluttershy.
Lil' Cheese
So let's get this out of the way, the script says Lil' Cheese is a colt, but many people see them as a filly, so they ended up being non-binary in my headcanon because I couldn't decide their gender (but go with whatever suits you better).
"Don't worry, Zap and Cheese got another infallible plan". Cheesecake, AKA "Lil' Cheese", is first and foremost known for the ability to talk their ass off anytime of the day for whatever reason (they used to spend most of their time besides their mom, so no need to mention that they practically picked up all her goofiness and energy by osmosis), they're also an excellent actor and are known as "The God of Puns". They’re generally a popular and gifted student, however, they're foul-mouthed and kind of competitive (but despite that, they are generally well liked and always looking after their friends). Lil' Cheese uses their innate talent for comedy and natural charm and charisma to help attract attention to their mum's bakery. Cheese had pretty deep random conversations with Pinkie since very little, so they turned out to be a pretty good conversationalist and improviser.
Big Sugar/Little Mac
I don't really have a very elaborate description for him (sorry peeps), but I imagine Sugar as a very sweet (pun intended) Big Baker Boy that loves cooking (and eating, most of all). He has that big bro energy and always gives the best hugs, but can also have with no mercy when messing around with his peers. He's very well liked around Ponyville and known for his extroverted and warm nature, though he may care way to much about other's opinions and tends to take a lot of them personally. Being a proud member of the Apple Family, he's the embodiment hard-work and loves working on the farm, but his heart always feel in the right place whenever he's preparing meals for other ponies.
----------
Okay, so quick backstory time about how Flarity happened in this canon.
Fluttershy was going through a very rough time with her previous marefriend, she always wanted to have a child of her own, and seeing her friends having some of their own made her even more eager to have one, so she found a sperm donor and conceived Florence with the consent of her partner at the time. Their relationship didn't get any less toxic even after Florence was born, so as a good friend, Discord felt the obligation to intervene (along with the rest of the elements of harmony) and convince Fluttershy to just end it and let go, as it wasn't doing any good for both her and the kid. When she finally got out of it, Discord and Rarity were the ones who helped Flutters to heal the most.
Meanwhile, Agate was the product of Rarity's previous marriage with Fancy Pants and was conceived as the last hope for their doomed marriage. Turns out having a child didn't save their relationship and they ended up divorcing, both going their separate ways with their own lives and businesses, however, it was a healthy separation and they remained in good terms with each other. Rarity took this separation as a way to get to know more about herself and to spend more time bonding with her daughter, having a break from her business life and letting Sassy Saddles and some other employees take the wheel for a little while, though she didn't stop playing her part on the creative side. During the time Fluttershy was going through her healing process, she and Rarity reconnected and some gay stuff happened. By the time the series ended they were probably on the dating phase and close to engagement. They eventually marry and join their families together.
Also Discord's still a very close friend of the couple and helps them and the kids whenever and in whatever way he's able to. He loves spending time with the kids, specially Agate, who finds his chaotic energy specially amusing.

2020 Creator’s Self-Love Extravaganza!!
Rules: It’s time to love yourselves! Choose your 8 favorite works you created in the past year (fics, art, edits, etc.) and link them below to reflect on the amazing things you brought into the world in 2020. Tag as many writers/artists/etc. as you want (fan or original) so we can spread the love and link each other to awesome works!
Thank you @findswoman for the tag!
Let’s see... 2020... what am I most proud of from this year???
---
1.  Jacen Syndulla Sketch Dump #1 (January 25, 2020)
[Link]
The first of 5 massive sketch dumps for Jacen Syndulla. I used so...many...references... but it really helped me figure out my colors, shadows, and anatomy, plus I got really good at drawing hair even if his nose is different in every other panel. Plus, it’s just fun to have a little more Jacen out there since SW hasn’t given us any crumbs to go off of for like... 3 years.
---
2.  She-Ra Mini-Comic (May 29, 2020)
[Link]
Right after She-Ra ended, I had this idea/ dream about Queen Angela and time travel, plus I like drawing Hordak, and thus this comic was born! It was well received which made me SUPER happy, plus I did all of the backgrounds from scratch which is something I usually Frankenstein together, so I am especially proud of that.
---
3.  Keston John’s “Kiss the Girl” Hordak Animatic (June 21, 2020)
[Link]
Still running high on She-Ra finale fumes, I discovered Hordak’s voice actor, Keston John, had a Youtube page where he sang a few songs from the Little Mermaid. Well... my Entrapdak shipper ears heard a great animatic video, and thus weeks of drawing frame by frame on a Photoshop timeline ensued!  I spent so long making this, and it was also well-received making it all worth it! I love how complimentary She-ra style is to my style and I was able to play with so many hairstyles for the clones! This was my first-ever music animation and will always have a special place in my heart! (Plus I posted it the day before my birthday, so reading all the tags and comments the next day was really nice!)
---
4.  Relaxing Beach Day (July 17, 2020)
[Link]
After the Jacen Sketch Dumps did so well, I  eventually ran out of ideas and asked some of my closest mutuals for more ideas. This is when @the-porg-apprentice mentioned a “beach day”. This was the first fanart I did with a new shadow/ light combo, and a color change over all the black lines. I was really proud how it turned out. I did a few more pieces like that, like the Tharin/Ezra piece and the Ash Dispersal Pattern band art.
---
5.  “A Burden Worth Sharing” (August 26, 2020)
[Link]
I wanted to include at least one fanfiction in this list, and I think my first Zouxie piece beats even the “Uncharted Stars TROS bonus story” because not only did it do REALLY well, but I received so many lovely comments, one even coming from Tenyai herself, which sent me on an adrenalin fueled stupor for all of work that Friday.
---
6.  Douxie’s Scar, Mini-Comic (September 13, 2020)
[Link]
The thousands of questions left inside me after watching Wizards sent me on a TOA binge HARDCORE! So hard in fact that I made an ENTIRE COMIC based on one theory I had on how Douxie got his scar, mixed with a line from the Trollhunter’s artbook (that I don’t even think made it into the show?). I tried a new style for this comic without using outlines at all, and I like how it turned out, even if I am not 100% sure I like how the text bubbles fit in. Adding text is like the worst thing I can do to myself and I usually never like how I do it!
---
7.  The Hex (Tech) Girls (October 12, 2020)
[Link]
Another wordplay correlation in my brain sent me on a days-long animatic project again in the Photoshop Timeline. This one got less views than I had hoped, but I still watch it from time to time and am still pretty proud of it given the limits I had with frame by frame and the fact I suck at drawing guitars. It gave me a lot of practice drawing Zoe at least, and that really came in handy for future projects.
---
8. Douxie’s Guitar (October 13, 2020)
[Link]
Posted the literal day after the Hex (Tech) Girls animation, this one was mostly a joke and only took like an afternoon to draw, but it got over 300 notes! I think that is the most notes on any of my Wizards content so far? I was really proud of how they turned out given the simplicity of the doodles, and I especially liked that it was so well-received. It kind of shaped some of my sketch dumps after that and sometimes I stick to this style when I don’t feel like coloring.
---
Bonus shoutout to the Douxie Fashion Walk Through the Centuries, which I want to do better and add more Zoe to one of these days, and also to the Ash Dispersal Pattern art (which was my first step into making TOA fanart).
---
I am going to spread the love since this made me feel WAY more productive about my year, and I will tag: @the-porg-apprentice @dreamsarelikedragonflies @fandomsunderthesun @blixeon @mandaloriandragontrainer @prismarts @racheldrawsdaily and @minniethemoocherda plus anyone else who would like to reflect. No Pressure!

When writing the Scarlet Lady Au, how do you organize your plots and notes, if you do?
Before I would’ve said at random - I’d literally think of the next joke in the shower or something. I had a general idea of where I wanted the plot to go, so it was just making the characters shout at each other in a way that got them there.
Not anymore. I’ve hit a stride. I have A Process ✨
So first: I watch the episode (in French). I used to just binge watch while making commentary notes in the discord where my friends are. Now, I still do this but I also take a notebook and divide the pages in two, essentially writing out what happens in the episode. This includes important dialogue, character interactions, when a character transforms, etc. I also take note of when it seems to be a new day or Day turns to Night. Anything I see in the episode that stands out as something that if I were writing canon as my comic, I would want to hit on.
Second: On the other side of that page, I start writing the Scarlet Lady version of the episode. I write it in the same format, so I’m not focusing on the jokes, I’m focusing on the things that make the episode go forward (who’s talking to who, where is someone going, etc). By putting it side by side, I can make sure that the episode is roughly the same length, hits on the notes I’m keeping from the original, covers the same amount of time. This helps the AU version of the episode be recognizable. I also take notes where I know I’ll need a bonus to flesh something out. Now the episode is “written”.
Tumblr media
This is it side by side, official episode on the left, SL on the right [SPOILER WARNING!]
Third: Outfits. Time for the outfits. Thanks to step 2, I know how many characters are going to have lines, are going to play a role. So now I sketch up the outfits everyone is going to wear. I’m also implementing the rule that every new “episode” is one week after the last, to help me keep everyone in the same season (with some exceptions since canonically an episode will follow directly after another ex: Volpina => Collector) I even looked up what the temperature would be in France around “this” time of year.
Tumblr media
Psst, these are the outfits for Copycat, that’s how good this method has been for me!
Fourth: The panel writing. This part takes the longest. This is where I write out how a panel will look, expressions I want, who’s speaking, the action, etc. The reason it takes longer is because I have to make it fit the format but still progress the story. I also think it’s important that within every joke, some important piece of information needs to be dropped in - whether it’s adding depth to a character, progressing the action, or pointing out something flawed in the original material. Sometimes I hit this better than others, but I don’t want someone to read any four panels and think “Why did that have to be here?” I also take this chance to write down a bunch of titles to choose from.
Tumblr media
[MORE SPOILER WARNING] If I have a specific “expression” I want a character to have, I’ll draw a mini emoji version of it in the margins too.
Fifth: Storyboarding. Staging the panels and roughly sketching where things will go. This is a good time to land expressions and the flow of dialogue in a scene. It can be frustrating, though, when my storyboard expressions come out better than my digital ones!
Tumblr media
This can also help me realize when I don’t need to redraw a scene. Note I made arrows in the margins showing I could use the same image in panel 2 and 4 on the left side.
Sixth And Final: Digital work. (sorry I don’t have images of this). I draw directly within the panels, instead of sketching the out in a book and scanning it in. This has some limitations (On model? what’s that?) but gives me more freedom to alter the space. Plus this way, I can take backgrounds straight from the show. This is when I put out the final product!
A big helper in my organization is that each step has a specific notebook (you might’ve noticed from my images). This way I’m not flipping back and forth within the same sketchbook and if I have a question I can pull out the notebook I know has the answer.
I’ve used this method (instead of my old “When a joke comes to me I’ll do step 3-6 at the same time) on Lady Wifi and on Copycat (I’m on the storyboarding steps for that one) and it’s really streamlined my process. But as of now I don’t know if the efficiency is because of the process or because I have so much free time, since I discovered this routine around the same time I quit my job. If I can keep up this speed WITH a new job, then I could see myself upping my upload from Bi-weekly to Tri-weekly, so fingers crossed!

ART SCHOOL | PHIL MORGAN | VANS US OPEN 2018
Vans US Open is still kicking, and folks are loving artist Phil Morgan’s colorful and fun skateboard inspired murals!  This Wales based artist is known for his creative skateboarding and pun inspired paintings, drawings and graphics. No stranger to skateparks and murals, Phil’s artwork was a perfect fit for this year’s Vans Park Series course. Get to know Phil and learn more about his background, his mural, and his favorite moments from painting the course!
Photographs by Ginger Caranto
Introduce yourself!  My name is Phil Morgan and I'm an illustrator / artist from South Wales in the UK. I started drawing from a very early age, but only started taking it more seriously in the last ten years. I didn't study at university or anything like that, and initially, It's something I enjoyed doing as more of a hobby; a labour of love. After having tons of different jobs growing up, art was eventually something I decided to try harder at, with the hopes of one day making a living from it.
When did art start from being something you enjoyed to something you wanted to do? I was always drawing cartoon characters from TV and comic books when I was a kid. When I started a band in my teens, I always enjoyed making funny flyers for shows and designing our merchandise. That was really one of the first times I saw my work from a different perspective. It wasn't until 2009 that I started designing skateboard graphics for my friend's skate company, Crayon Skateboards. That sort of led me into a period of creating work digitally with a graphics tablet, and using programs like Photoshop. But after a while I got bored of not getting my hands dirty and went back to drawing stuff the old fashioned way. I realised then that I could create work quicker with pencil, ink and paint, and I prefer the way the original work looks. Drawing and painting are two things I try and do each and every day.
Who are your biggest influences? Growing up, I would say music would be my biggest influence. One of my all time favourite bands is Fugazi. The whole DIY ethic of that band has a big influence on what I try and do. I'm also a huge David Shirley fan. I love the humour in his work. Skateboarding is another obvious one, starting from back in the '80s. Then there's family and friends, of course. The usual stuff.
What’s your process like? A lot of pencil sketching to begin with, and a lot of tea and coffee. If I'm working with paint, I like to use flat colours and not too many. I like my work to look bold and colourful, and house paint is something I work with a lot to create original pieces. If I'm creating something digitally, I scan my sketches and take them into Photoshop, then redraw the illustration using my graphics tablet.
What is your most important artist tool? Is there something you can’t live without in your studio? Without saying the obvious being a pencil or a pen, probably the most useful tool I have would be my graphics tablet. I also need to have lots of fine line pens in all different sizes, as I tend to go through them pretty quick.
What is the last art show that you went to? The last art show I went to was a group show in Long Beach, just the other week that I helped put together with my good friend Ignacio Villanueva. "Above Ground" will be on show until August 17 at Lord Windsor Coffee House, and features work by myself, Michael C. Hsiung, Ignacio Villanueva and Ben Brough.
What are you inspiration? Anything from films and music, to having conversations with friends over a beer in the pub. Old memories, visiting galleries -- it's endless really.
Can you tell us about the mural you created for the Vans Park Series course? I created three murals for this year's event. I had recently painted a mini-ramp back home for my friends at Cardiff Skateboard Club, so I took some of those ideas and painted them in new ways for this park. It's my first time painting something of this scale.
What is your favorite part about painting a mural? I like recreating my drawings as bigger pieces of art. It's a challenge, but I like the pressure of trying to paint that way.  For me, this whole experience of coming to Huntington Beach was a real honour, trying to put Wales on the map.
What was it like painting alongside other artists? It was a great experience, meeting other creatives and all the people involved. Feeding ideas off each other, watching individual processes. We all worked really hard during the days and got to hang out over food and drinks in the evening. I've definitely made a bunch of new friends along the way.
Best moment from your time spent in park?  My whole time being here will always be a memory I look back on fondly. If I had to pick one, it would probably be the end point of the three days, when we were able to step back and take in what we had all created together.
Hardest part of painting the mural?  I would definitely say the heat was a challenge. The first day was like painting inside a volcano. Luckily, the other days were just humid so we didn't have the sun beating down on us. The other challenge is holding your body in certain positions to work on your design because of the shape of the surface. My back and my legs were feeling it at the end of each day, without a doubt.
What was your highlight over the past couple days painting at the US Open? I think just being given this opportunity in general has been my personal highlight. To come out here and paint my art on the park is a real dream come true for me. I would love to come back and do it again someday.
Do you have any advice for people who have dreams of becoming an artist? Work really hard at your art and, most importantly, be nice to people.

REPUTATION LYRIC INSPIRED TOUR OUTFITS AND POSTERS PART 1
A lot of these posters are pictured in either giant bubble letters, rep font or in calligraphy. Can’t do any of these? Download the rep font or font you wish to use, type up what you want in a big enough font size, print, cut, and trace, or glue them down up to you! Of course, write these however you wish!

lovelovelove,
 - Reputation Costumes.
…READY FOR IT?:
1. Knew he was a killer” – you and a friend or significant other dress up as a killer and their victim (not to scary or realistic though! Just have fun with it)
2. “Left haunted” – could make a fun sign saying “Taylor left me haunted” or something silly with the word haunted! Could even use Haunted (Speak Now) lyrics!
3. “But if he’s a ghost, then I can be a phantom” – Few ideas:
→ Two people could dress up as ghosts.
→ Could also dress up as Danny Phantom because of the wordplay, or even the Phantom of the Opera if you wanted to be clever.
→ Could also dress up as ghost hunters/ghost busters.
4. “Holdin’ him for ransom” – dress as bank robbers! Could even copy the outfits from the vault scene in LWYMMD.
5. “I keep him forever, like a vendetta-ta” – Poster that replaces him for Taylor, so it says I keep Taylor forever, like a vendetta-ta.
6. “Island breeze and lights down low” – maybe dress tropical—think family vacation ha.
→ Could even improvise a poster that instead of saying island it could say (city name) breeze and stadium lights down low. Ex: “Boston breeze and stadium lights down low” (yes, I know its FOXBORO, but we all know Taylor just calls it Boston lol).
7. “In the middle of the night” – Dress as if you’re the night sky, glow in the dark ceiling stars or tape on a black/navy blue outfit with glitter. A matching poster in the shape of a star or a moon would be the perfect pairing.
8. “Are you ready for it?” – Poster with these lyrics on it. Remember posters can be as simple or as creative as you’d like. If you have a large enough group, you could make giant cutouts and hold two letters or so each.
9. “Stealing hearts and running off..” – A poster in the shape of a heart (not anatomical) with the lyrics on it.
10. “He can be my jailer” – Cop and Robber costume, could do the orange jumpsuit from the LWYMMD video and copy the “guards” around the birdcages outfits.
11. “Burton to this Taylor” – dress as Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor
12. “Let the games begin” – Multiple options for this one.
→   Could dress as a referee/sport player/some sort of sport reference
→   Have a game board attached to your outfit, make your own Taylor inspired game, maybe by gluing homemade items over a monopoly and have little trivia questions about her.
→   Game board inspired poster—an Uno card but with these lyrics rather than traditional uno face.
13. Recreate one of the outfits from the music video
END GAME:
1. “I wanna be your endgame” – Poster designed as your favorite/or classic “end game” credit logo.
2. “I wanna be your first string” – Sometimes related to sports or your favorite ship from a TV show/Film/Book so do what you may with this.
3. “I wanna be your A-Team” – Could dress up as the A Team. Poster with friends that spell out A-Team.
4.  “Big Reputation” – Poster with these lyrics or wear the End Game merch sold on Taylor’s site. Can’t afford it? Make your own with stencils and fabric paint!
5.  “I bury hatchets, but I keep maps of where I put ‘em” – Make/buy a shirt with a map on it—think buried treasure map with x’s to mark where stuff is hidden!
6. “Your body is gold” – Gold morph suit, gold body paint, gold glitter, gold anything! Dawn yourself in all gold for this look.
7.  “So here’s the truth from my red lips” – Make an outfit with red lips open with a speech bubble above it and have end game lyrics in each one! Or make a poster with the same idea.
8.  Recreate one of the many music video outfits!
I DID SOMETHING BAD:
1. “I play ‘em like a violin” – Make a poster cut out into the same of a violin and wear music notes.
2. ‘Now all he thinks about is me” – Poster saying “Now all I think about is Taylor”
3. “I can feel the flames on my skin” – Body paint flames in your arms/legs or wear flame pattern shirt.
4. “Crimson red paint on my lips” – Could be similar to the one above from End Game with red lips all over your outfit or a poster.
5. “If a man talk shit, then I owe him nothing” – Great lyric for a poster! Don’t want to put the swear on the poster? Get creative and maybe use the emoji covering its mouth or symbols!
6.  “I never trust a playboy, but they love me” – Going with a guy friend? Could have him dress like Hugh Hefner but of course remember the necessary clothing needed to get into a venue if you do this! Could also dress as a bunny (playboy related or just average you decide)
7. “So I fly ‘em all around the world” – Going to multiple shows? Make a poster of a globe with airplanes landing on each tour stop you’re going to!
8. “They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one” – Dress as a witch, could be inspired from the Salem witch trials, could be a cartoon-y Halloween one, or one from your favorite show or movie that involves witches!
9. “Pitchforks and proof, their receipts and reasons” – Poster in the shape of a pitchfork or one that looks like a store receipt or screenshotted iMessage but using Taylor lyrics as the messages or purchases!
10. “Light me up” – Most shows apparently will not allow lights but doesn’t mean you can’t light up with glow sticks, glow in the dark body paint/outfits or glitter!
11. “Most fun I ever had” – Poster saying “Taylor Concerts are the most fun I ever had!”
DON’T BLAME ME:
1. “Don’t blame me, love made me crazy” – Poster that says, “Don’t blame me, Taylor made me crazy.”
2. “Darkest little paradise” – Black lace vibe from this lyric, especially picturing those pumps that have fur on the front near the toes. Could also make a sign that’s a midnight black sky with glow in the dark stars writing out the lyric.
3. “They say, ‘She’s gone too far this time’” – Poster with this lyric and a map tracking all your shows if you’re going to multiple. Could have all the miles listed under each show!
4. “Halo, hiding my obsession” – Angel outfit? Make the halo out of glow sticks so it shines after the lights go down. Poster that says hiding my obsession, maybe make it look like a TSL post.
5. “I once was poison ivy, but now I’m your daisy” – Few ideas for this:
→   An outfit that starts as poison ivy on the bottom but slowly progress to daisies. Could have buds of daisies starting at the bottom with the ivy and start to have them bloom as it increases until it’s just all daisies.
→   Poster that spells out poison ivy in plastic (or real or drawn completely up to you) poison ivy.
→   Poster that spells out Daisy with Daisies from a craft store!
          →   Daisy Buchanan from Gatsby.
          →   Poison Ivy comic.
6. “Fall from grace” – Michael and Lucifer, so aka could go as a fallen angel or the devil. If you watch Supernatural then you can pull from that for inspiration!
7. Taylor related this song to church, love and drug use because those 3 are powerful enough to change a person. Dressing up as if you’re in a choir could fit this song! Even something church related, however trying to remain neutral with that can be difficult.
8. Some people get a Fifty Shades of Grey vibe from this song, do what you may with that.
DELICATE:
1. Poster spelling out delicate with an assortment of colorful fake flowers.
2. “You can make me a drink” – Poster cut out in the shape of a wine glass with the lyrics being written in a bold, thick font and place to look as if from far away its wine drawn in the glass.
3. “Dive bar on the East Side, where you at?” – “Taylor Swift concert in (your state), where you at?” sign. Could also make this look like an iMessage chat.
4. Fringe outfit similar to the video.
5. Dive bar outfit.
6. “Dark jeans and your Nikes” – Could easily where this exact outfit paired with a Taylor shirt if you aren’t into dressing up for shows!
7. “Never seen that color blue” – Poster with sketched blue eyes and these lyrics underneath it. Could also wear an entire blue outfit.
8. “Is it chill that you’re in my head?” – poster ideas:
→  Is it chill that Taylor’s in my head?
→  Is it chill that you’re in my head, Taylor?
9. “Handsome, you’re a mansion with a view.” - Dress up with a costume similar in the idea of the a skyscraper costume but as a fancy house!
10. “Echoes of your footsteps on the stairs” - Poster with an echoing effect (think Microsoft early 2000s word art) on the lyrics. Could even place the lyrics on top of one another to look like it’s building a staircase.
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO:
1. “I don’t like your little games” – See similar ideas for game inspired outfits above, OR
→  Make an outfit featuring miniature games attached to you, like Tamagotchi’s or make your own mini monopoly/life/etc. boards and glue them onto your outfit or poster. Possibly break the little boards in half and have broken pieces to represent not liking them.
2. “Of the fool” – Could dress up as a fool/clown. Silly, whimsical costume.
3. “Said the gun was mine” – Could do a poster of a smoking gun with the lyrics looking like they came out of the gun/the toy guns where flags pop out.
4. “Rose up from the dead” – Zombie! Tombstone poster!
5. “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined” – List of names—Taylor related, maybe her cats or not—but have them all crossed out besides for Taylors at the bottom.
6. “I check it once, then I check it twice” – Some say this reminds them of Santa so by all means feel free to dress up Christmas-y.
7. “Look what you made me do” – Use the lyric video to create cool posters.
8. “I don’t like your kingdom keys” – few ideas:
→ Outfit with keys drawn on, make them look vintage and old, wear crowns with this look! Could also have keys dangling off the ends of the outfit.
→  Giant gold key posters, make them look novelty like the ones cities give to honor people.
9. Drama and Karma matching glitter posters.
10. Snake skin, snake rings, snake anything!
11. Choose one of the many outfits Taylor is seen wearing throughout the LWYMMD video, we’ll hopefully have some great, cheap knockoffs for these soon!
12. Dress up as “old Taylor” so this basically opens up endless possibilities from each era, check out our 1989 and Red costume lists for more ideas! Hopefully we can work on Speak Now, Fearless and Debut inspired lists soon too!
13. Merch! Merch! Merch! She has tons of Look merch on her site, wear that if you want to be casual.
14. Similar Blind for Love sweater is available on eBay! The similar patches are also sold at craft stores or online (eBay).
15. Use the patches sold through Taylor Swift’s store to make you’re own one of a kind outfit--whether it be a denim jacket, dress, you name it! You can even design you’re own patches using crafts.
16. “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now” - Poster using a picture of the “old Taylor” and a poster in the shape of a phone! Could incorporate the Our Song video, WANEGBT video, or the Look video when she’s on a phone.
SO IT GOES…
1.  “See you in the dark” – Poster where the word Dark is written in glow in the dark paint/marker to show up after the lights go down!
2. “All eyes on you” – Outfit with googly eyes glued all over it. Or create a poster with the same idea and the lyrics changed to “All eyes on Taylor”
→  Add “my magician” if you wish to the end of the poster lyric or combine the googly eyes theme with a magician costume.
3. “My magician” –  Multiple options:
→ Dress up in a magician’s costume, this can be traditional, or you can be as creative as you want with it.
→  Poster cut out to look like you’re holding a fan of cards (think trick magician’s deck) with any lyrics from the song written on it.
→  Could dress up as a magician’s assistant.
→  Dress up as a rabbit/bunny (stereotypically used in acts)
→  Poster in the shape of a bunny peeking out of a magician’s hat, or just the ears sticking out of the hat, with so it goes lyrics on it.
→  Poster of a crystal ball with “all eyes on you, my magician” written in it.
4. “You make everyone disappear” – “Taylor makes everyone disappear” written on a poster. Possibly write it in glow in the dark ink so it only shows when the lights are down and not before!
5. “Cut me into pieces” – Puzzle piece posters! You and a group of friends can each hold a piece that fits into the other and each can have one word of a line from any reputation song or simply use the “cut me into pieces”
6. “Gold cage, hostage to my feelings” – 2 options:
→  Make a cut out poster in the shape of a cage, individual cut out in between each bar so it’s open, do two sides like this and attach strings to wear the sign so it looks like the cage is around you. Could even wear this with the orange jumpsuit outfit from the Look video!
→  Poster in the shape of a gold bird cage with “hostage to my feelings” written inside of it.
7. “All our pieces fall right into place” – Poster with confetti, puzzle pieces, hearts either drawn on or glued. Either place or draw the pieces to spell out the lyrics as they fall down to a pile at the bottom of the poster paper or just have the pieces you decide to use “raining” down halfway through the poster and have the lyrics on the bottom half.
8. “So it goes…” Poster with these lyrics.
9. “Met you in a bar” – 2 options:
→  Poster drawn and cut out like a whiskey bottle with these lyrics, Taylor and reputation written on the label.
→  Using half of a poster board, draw what looks like a bar top (typically mahogany) with bottles either laying or standing across it and a few shot glasses, each bottle could be named after a song on the album!
10. “All eyes on us/All eyes on you/All eyes on me” -  Staring eye emoji drawn on a poster with a thought bubble above it with one of these 3 lyrics in the bubble.
11. “I make all your grey days clear” –
→  One person dresses up as a cloudy/rainy day so all grey clothes and have reflective blue tape cut into rain drops and white reflective tape to represent clouds (typically clouds are grey/black when it’s raining but those two colors won’t be reflective, could use glow in the dark paint/tape as well). Could also wear a cloud poster with raindrops hanging from it on string around them or hold as a regular poster with these lyrics in the cloud.
→  Second person dresses up as sunny day, in preferably light blue to represent a clear sky, yellow reflective tape cut out as suns on the outfit—could even have some breaking through clouds using white reflective tape. Person could also wear a sun poster around them like suggested above for the grey day look.
12.  “Wear you like a necklace” – Think flavor flav! Make a giant fake watch (or not a watch and just a necklace) out of string and cardboard. Have the reputation album cover or cd artwork be hanging from it/as the face of the watch.
13.  “Dressed in black now” – Wear all black! Draw attention to yourself with some glow in the dark paint or stickers, glow sticks and glitter.
14. “Scratches down your back” – Might not be appropriate with what its referencing for younger crowds and you may get looks from parents but create a shirt with bloody scratches down the backside and let the front side have “so it goes…” written on it.
15.  “You did a number on me” – Few options:
→  Poster cut out into a 13/22/1989 with the lyric written throughout the 13/22/1989.
→  Poster with an array of numbers related to Taylor filling it (13, 22, 1989, 10(Grammys), etc.). Write the lyrics in rep font first and draw the numbers around it, filling the background. Write in glow in the dark paint/tape, glue flowers over the lyrics, whatever you desire! Can even just use the word rep instead of doing the lyrics.
→  Idea above for the poster could also work on a shirt.
→  Poster with the number of shows you’re attending.
16.  “Who’s counting?” – See the ideas for the lyric above, they work well with this one as well.

JayTim Week Day 7: Space AU.
Or Secretly Dating AU. Or for the free prompt day, Historical AU. Leave it to me to give myself three opportunities to post, but really know that it was totally going to be on the last day possible.
Guess how many other responsibilities that I have shirked today? 😃 (But nothing that can’t be fixed tomorrow. Because, honestly, it’s gonna have to be fixed tomorrow, oh boy).
Apologies for the quality - I have really got to work in smaller image sizes - please full view for crisp (ish) lines! Also any tips for making large files smaller would be very helpful (in Photoshop).
Read more for ramblings, because let’s face it, I love deconstructing my work (which is an open invitation for someone to dialogue with me, hey hey 😉).
Watch out, I didn’t mean for this to be 1000ish words long, but here we are anyway…
First up, I visited Houston uuuuh, two months ago ish, and went to see Space Center Houston, got some tours around NASA, listened to some people really excited about space and the history of space exploration, and what do you know, I was enthralled.
I’ve always really loved space, and stars, and that movie Apollo 13 with Tom Hanks in it, but I’d never really gotten a full understanding of what the “Space Race” really meant, against the Russians and everything. 1960’s America poured literally everything in to go to the moon, spending what would have been trillions today to make that 1969 moonwalk happen.
A few people died to do this because space travel is dangerous, and I was low key going to put Jason in Apollo 1, which, ahem, was the one that suffocated it’s crew due to a fire that broke out in the capsule one the landing pad – the fire was put out quickly I believe, but because the Velcro in there had melted, the fumes made the air toxic – but I didn’t really want to do that just because we all know Jason dies.
So I decided to put Jason in Apollo 10 – Apollo 8 was a milestone in that it was the first time humans had orbited the moon, and Apollo 11 was the “Eagle has landed” (first man on the moon) and also too much of a milestone to touch by clumsily inserting in DC characters. I’ve set this in like an alternate history very similar to our own, so Apollo 10 – the mission that was a trial run for walking on the moon – seemed like a good compromise. That’s why Tim’s saying “Don’t go into the [Lunar Module]” – not because they didn’t fill it with enough fuel to get back off the surface of the moon, but because they didn’t want any fame-happy astronauts walking on the moon (or being on the surface on the moon via the LM) before NASA was ready (what if something goes wrong?).
I think that also captures, to me, Tim – definitely willing to lie to the person he loves to keep them safe. Tim here is Capcom, capsule communication – I’m pretty sure I got his desk position correct. He would be the main guy in the astronauts ears throughout the mission (it’s easier to listen to one person giving you instructions that a roomful) – so he’s got his oracle-like role like fanon likes to have him – so that’s why he’s telling Jason he’s going to bring him home, because he’s going to be the one to lead them in what they need to do. NASA liked to have other astronauts as Capcom, mostly because they’d use the same ‘language’ and be understood easier as they’ve trained together, so I like the idea that Tim is probably slated for Apollo 12 in this AU.
(I wrote LEM on there for Lunar Module – I liked LEM because that’s how it’s pronounced, but wasn’t sure whether to keep it upper-case – LEM stands for Lunar Excursion Module, and I can’t think off the top of my head whether LEM was first, or LM was first in terms of terminology).
The other guy there is in the PR position, publicity or something. I’m not sure who it is, might just be some rando, but I put a blonde head there because I like Gar (Beastboy) and his aspiration to be an actor. 😊
Also, like the thing I’m most proud of in this mini comic is Jason’s right hand. He’s placed it on the console because he wants to casually lean, but he also really wanted to touch Tim but stopped himself just in time because what a scandal it would be if it were found out that one of America’s top hopes, an astronaut, were gay (again, I don’t know much about the climate with homophobia in 1960s so I’m just supposing). So Jason just is kind of flexing his hand in panels 2 and 3 waiting for the other guy to leave. Then the hand indicates that Jason’s stepping forward, he’s ready to reach out to Tim, but tentative at the same time. Tim isn’t shy at all, and comes straight up to place his hand on the Apollo 11 patch, thus giving Jay to confidence to finally pull Tim in, in such a public place.
Uh, yeah, this is set the night before Apollo 11 launch, May 18th 1969, honestly I have no idea what they would be doing to prepare for the launch the night before, so this was my best bet.
Most of the rest is that I just ran out of time for anything else – the consoles in the background should all have monitors and buttons and shading on them, but I didn’t draw them in my traditional-medium inking phase, and I literally spent 2 hours on word bubbles and 4 hours on photoshop washing and shading in the past two days so, I’m just happy it’s finished. : D (I’d done the sketching and inking for like 30 min bursts in like 2 weeks, back a month ago when I had tiiiiiiiime…..they still came out derpy though omg).
Also like to point out what a learning experience this was – I’ve done a few comic layouts before, but never cleaned them up to this extent, and it was so different cause I had to keep in mind Tumblr’s scrolling system – I didn’t want to put up a layout that was 8 panels in one picture and impossible to read, so I hadn’t ever done that before. Still not convinced I have great linking action or anything, but I am confident that it gets the point across. (Maybe not so confident considering the length of this ramble, but thank you so much if you’ve stuck with me this far XD).
