A Web of Their Own Design (pt. 2)
I’m not spoiling anything, nope. Not me. (Not proofread)
Tumblr media
A backpack clad in a cacophony of compartments weighed heavy on your back, trudging through the halls of Newer York’s most prestigious university.
The only university that allowed you access to your job.
I suppose that amounts to something.
The final stretch, the finish line. Soon enough you’d be out in the world, a fledgling taking first flight.
What would happen then? You couldn’t possibly pursue this life forever, could you? Eventually the sleepless lights would manifest into something more sinister, fighting against you as you fought to abolish crime. Your body would age, slowly, but noticeably. Would you be capable of protecting the people while knitting webs in the retirement home?
You shook the thought from your head, running your fingers through your scalp, tapping your foot with impatience as you awaited the call of your name — a morning coffee, a pick me up. Not that tackling a bank robber on your way to the subway station wasn’t exhilarating enough.
Soon enough, you order was called, a student like yourself handing over the mug with a soft smile — a forced one, no doubt. Who wants to work? In this economy?
Thanking her, you tapped at your phone to check the time. A few minutes to spare, your class the building adjacent to the coffee shop, a stroke of luck in the most unfortunate times.
Your name was called, you cringed, not keen on the impending scolding you’d receive, the halls whispering prayers.
After all, you’d ditched karaoke to fight a villain you’d never encountered before.
They kept glitching in a rainbow of colors you’d never believed the eyes capable of beholding, insisting they were in the wrong universe, a portal swallowing them and spitting them out in a foreign realm.
An entire nut, case intact.
You’d defeated them, thankfully, but found at the conclusion of your battle they’d entirely disappeared, not a trace left to remain. Was that even possible?
“Aubrey… what’s up?” Your finger tapped against the rim of your coffee in a beat of your own design, nervous smile on full display without the majesty of your mask.
“What’s up?” Her voice was laced with vines, on edge. “You totally ditched us and all you have to say is what’s up?” The pink ribbon fashioned in her hair and bubblegum dress ceasing mid-calf did nothing to deter the terror she exude. “You totally missed Alador’s solo! He went all out, y’know.”
Alador, a restless Biochemistry major, stood behind Aubrey —the resident Pre-Law student on her way to Law School come next Fall.
“You sang a solo?” You were astonished, looking to Alador with disbelief, a man of little words typically unwilling to perform such a task.
He mumbled something under his breath, your neck craning to listen, asking him to repeat himself one too many times.
“Aubrey said if I didn’t she’d hide my monitor again.”
“…Again?”
Aubrey looked to you with a satisfied smirk on her lips, not an ounce of shame. “Last time we went to the arcade he didn’t want to win me a stuffed Panda! I mean, who does that?! Worst friend ever…”
Sometimes you could understand why the dwindling generations of the past were worried for the imminent rise of your own generation.
“And because he didn’t win you the Panda… You hid his monitor?”
“Don’t look at me like that, it’s not like I took the actual PC! If it was such a nuisance he could’ve hooked everything up to his laptop, I made sure of it!”
Alex whispered under his breath, as he always did, “At the expense of my frame rate.”
The two broke into an argument. Well, more like Aubrey bullying Alador into submission. A lighthearted exchange, one that’d occurred since the beginning of high school, lifelong friends bonding over the lack of brain cells dominating the student body.
You looked to your watch, class beginning in a matter of moments, taking the opportunity to slip away without a word.
“I’m not done with you!”
Maybe not.
“I know you’ve been like this since we were kids, jumpy and always on the run, but don’t you get tired of it?”
Whoa. You hadn’t had nearly enough coffee to process her psychoanalysis this early — you checked your watch — in the afternoon.
Shit. Class was starting.
“Aubrey, listen. I have class right now and I really—“
“You’re the star student, as always. You can listen to me for a few minutes.”
You conceded. Less out of compliance and more out of sheer terror. Only someone as headstrong as Aubrey was capable of bringing an arachnid vigilant to their knees.
“It feels like we’re seeing you less and less. We don’t have much time together before graduation, before we’ll definitely hardly see each other. Doesn’t that scare you?”
A prickle itched at your throat, burning with bile. It did, the entire situation terrified you, pained you with every waking moment. There wasn’t a day that went by you didn’t feel for your friends, a day that went by you didn’t regret how you’d last left your family.
How you yearned to tell them, to tell everyone.
You just couldn’t. Not if you loved them as much as you convinced yourself you did.
“I know I haven’t been the best friend to you guys but…” The confession was on the tip of your tongue, grip on your coffee unrelenting.
A crash.
Screams echoing down the hall, students rushing to get away as papers flew haphazardly behind them, foregoing assignments that’d likely kept them up all evening.
“What’s happening?” You called out to a passing student, their scream bursting your eardrums as they gestured down the hall.
A man dressed to the nines in a velvety green pantsuit trudged down the hall, mechanical tentacles clacking against the floor, uplifting polished marble flecked in gold.
Doc Ock.
Except, this looked nothing like the Doctor you’d fought previously. No, this man was far more distinguished, refined. Well into his years and wearing them well.
Your Doc Ock was nothing more than a child with an inattentive father and mommy issues on his sleeve, seeking validation wherever it could be found.
“You wouldn’t happen to know of a Peter Parker?” He was looking to Alador, entirely disregarding yours and Aubrey’s presence.
Alador shrugged his shoulders, adjusting his glasses before producing a book from seemingly thin air.
The Doctor’s kindhearted smile dwindled, “Then you’re of no use to me.” He swatted Alador away, your friend landing against the wall with a thud, wind knocked out of him and consciousness faltered. Aubrey rushed to his side, calling out to you, begging for your response.
Doc Ock traveled further down the hall, upheaving students in his path, uncaring for anyone except… Peter Parker?
His parents must’ve had a thing for alliteration.
You broke out into a sprint, traveling down the halls, maneuvering past students. “I’m gonna get help!” You called out to Aubrey.
No matter how badly you wanted to stay, tears pricking the corners of your eyes, hands bunched into fists.
You just couldn’t, not when everything seemed to fight against you.
Slipping into an abandoned classroom you were surprised, given professors cancel class anytime except important matters — Hungover? Exam next week! Space-Time Continuum collapsing? Don’t forget to turn in that essay at 11:59!
It proved a tedious task to change into your suit, opting to wear it under your clothes most days, the chilly weather forgiving.
Summer, not so much.
You kicked open the classroom door, webbing one of the man’s mechanical tendrils just before it could find purchase amongst another victim, he glitched, a pain ripping through his core, web falling through. You webbed him again, double, triple the amount.
“What’s up, Doc! Been a minute since we last fought.”
He scoffed, “You’re not Peter Parker.”
“Peter can’t come to the phone right now, but I’m happy to take your call.”
A tendril made its home against your chest, enhanced strength paling in comparison to the machinery, but you made it work. Freeing yourself from its clutches you sent webs it’s way, thoroughly coating it before moving on to the next, rendering them useless with every thwip of web. Two down.
“I thought doctors were supposed to help people — prescribe antibiotics, suggest some rest.”
Your quips were doing nothing more than fanning the flames of his anger, Doc Ock seething with rage. “I’m not that kind of doctor!”
“My bad! Thought you’d be able to help me with this raging headache I’ve been having.”
You thwipped another tendril in the midst of Doc Ock’s frustrations, useless. Three down.
This was too easy.
“I don’t know what happened to Peter Parker, but if you’ve taken his place, I’ll kill you all the same.”
Crash.
Out the window your bodies tumbled, the asphalt there to break your fall, back feeling as though it’d been shattered in a million different place. You strained to move, lifting your arm to produce a web in the man’s face, a move that should’ve been attempted sooner. Your body too weak, movement too slow, Doc Ock pushed your arms to the floor, slowly crushing them with his mechanical majesty.
“I want you to suffer in your last moments,” He pressed down, a groan hiding behind your teeth, Doc Ock far from satisfied. “I wish to hear your screams, the cries of the people, as their beloved Spider expires.”
No matter how hard you fought you were no match for his strength, straining to sit up, to do anything. It was futile, entirely. And suddenly you wished you’d revealed your secret identity to your loved ones, after all. At least then they’d know peace.
But at least this way, they were safe.
Pressing the back of your head to the asphalt, the screams of the people fading into nothingness, you decided it was your time to hang up the mask.
You’d been in this business since your first year of High School, a freshman bitten by a radioactive spider, forced to navigate puberty and the life of an arachnid vigilante. So many years, too many years of fighting for the people, being their savior when it felt nobody was there to save you.
Perhaps there wasn’t, never would, and as much as the thought plagued you, it also allowed you a moments rest.
The rev of a motorcycle, gasps from the crowd, the blur of your vision suddenly less persistent. The pressure of Doc Ock’s many tendrils had lifted from your chest, air rushing to your lungs.
“You alive down there?” A heavily accented voice, someone whose costume appeared just like yours except… flickering? Constantly in a state of perpetual color change?
Your spider senses tingled, mind overwhelmed with his presence, multiple presences. So different, so unique. Yet entirely the same.
“I’m…”
“Look out!” A motorcycle decorated in bright hues zipped past you, a woman with hair you envied greatly throwing you onto the back of the bike, the character from earlier hot on your tail. “You alright, kid?”
“Confused, but I’m breathing.” Were these Spider-People?
The Spider decorated in spikes spoke up through the whir of the cycle, “That’s all we can hope for, yeah?”
You nodded, looking around for Doc Ock, blob of green a generous ways down the road, the motorcycle heading straight for it. You stood up on the seat of the bike, fellow passenger and driver speaking words of warning, their caution taken with a grain of salt.
Something about their presence empowered you, made you feel invincible despite the burn of your back, a possible breakage persisting somewhere.
When you were in range you hopped off, gasps and hollers following the movement, limbs tingling with the urge — no, the need — to unleash your webs.
Doc Ock hadn’t a moment to register your presence, caught up in battling a spider-man with webs akin to the hue of a flame, muscles built high as he towered the citizens littering the streets.
I mean, seriously, didn’t people know how to run?
“Thanks for the help with the not-so-doctor Doctor!” You stood in a crouched position atop one of Doc Ock’s tendrils, the spider-man looking to you without a word, nodding his head.
Tough crowd.
You hopped down, side to side with the spider-man, the height difference even more shocking up-close. Your webs thwipped from the mechanism you’d designed the summer preceding your sophomore year, webs more controlled, precision calculated. It was far easier than the initial prototype, and despite its age, you’d hardly tweaked it.
Doc Ock came down with a crash from your joint effort, weight imprinted in the street, a damage tax payers weren’t keen on beholding.
Being a hero had never been so easy, joint support, everyone pulling their weight. It was as though you hadn’t even tried, elated as a burden was thrusted from your shoulders.
A cage of crimson encased Doc Ock, a team emerging from a portal of the same hue, dragging him away, ignoring his hollers, glitching as he shouted his final words — “Peter Parker!”
Some of these villains had serious codependency issues.
“Thanks for the assist,” You turned to the spider at your side, Spikes. “Didn’t know there was more of me, of us.”
“There’s an infinite number of us, you’ll find.”
“No way!” You tingled with delight, unable to contain the joy you felt. “Where have you guys been this entire time?”
“We’re part of a—“
Spikes was waved off by a blue and red hand, the muscular spider from earlier, stoic as ever, regarding you with hardly a word. “Follow me.”
“At least take me to dinner first.”
The woman, who you observed to be heavily pregnant, and Spikes laughed at the remark, Spike clutching at his stomach as the woman coughed into a fist.
“I don’t have time for jokes,” He crossed his arms over his chest, “Your universe is one of many experiencing inter-dimensional anomalies.”
“Anomalies? Is that why they were glitching?”
The man turned to the woman, back rigid, “They?”
She raised her arms in mock defense, “You never asked.”
“I shouldn’t have to—!“ He groaned, cutting himself off as he pinched the bridge of his nose through the mask. “You’d be making this a whole lot easier if you’d come with us.”
You contemplated a few seconds, hands crossed over your chest, tapping your foot against the pavement. Your mind suddenly fluttered to Alador and Aubrey, whether or not they’d gathered medical attention, what his condition was.
“I really shouldn’t, I—“ The portal was steadily closing as Spikes and Spider-Lady fell through, leaving you on your lonesome with Spider-Dude.
“You really don’t have much of a choice.”
He was right. If these things, these… Anomalies, kept trickling into your universe, there was no telling what consequences would follow.
To protect Aubrey, to protect Alador. To protect your family and the people of your universe, you had to get to the bottom of this.
One foot in front of the other, heart wrenching, you stepped through the portal. But not before one final question, a few words to seal your fate.
“What’s your name?”
“Miguel. Miguel O’Hara.”

Vengeance, Victory, and Undying Love - pt 7
Chapter 7 of my Supercorp fic in which Lena still creates something called Non Nocere to deal with her broken heart after finding out Supergirl's identity, but this time she gives the name to a different project. A more personal one. And now she’s coming for Supergirl.
This and previous chapters also available to read on Ao3
................
Kara dropped the lump of kryptonite and leapt backwards, bracing for the wave of agony and nausea she knew would follow.
A beat passed.
Her breath continued to move easily in and out of her lungs. Her blood pumped painlessly, the usual acidic burn of kryptonite in her system entirely absent.
So… it… wasn’t kryptonite?
She dared to take a tentative half step closer and peered down at the thing Lena had given her. It certainly looked like kryptonite – the all-too-familiar sickly green glow making the hairs on her arms rise in anticipation of pain, but that’s where the similarity ended.
The pain never came.
She glanced from the lump of rock to Lena and back again, waiting for her to make it make sense.
‘Lena? What is it?’
‘Pick it up, have a closer look’.
She did so, a little tentatively. Even in the face of her undeniable lack of pain, her fingers flinched away from touching it, but she forced them to wrap around the stone and lift it anyway.
It felt warm, like a pebble that had been sitting out in the sun all day, but it didn’t burn her. The sensation would have been quite pleasant if not for the nagging, instinctive fear of touching the one thing on this Earth that she knew could kill her.
She tried rising a discrete inch above the ground, just to check that this wasn’t some new more subtle variation of kryptonite that caused powerlessness without the pain. But nope, she rose smoothly. When she focused in on her super hearing she found it undiminished. There was a cat purring three floors down. Someone blowing bubblegum and allowing the bubble to burst with a snap a couple of blocks away. Lena’s heartbeat, drumming a little too rapidly for her outward calm.
‘Okay, I don’t get it. Why would you make fake kryptonite? What’s the point?’
‘I didn’t. The kryptonite is real Kara, I’ve just made you immune to it. Non Nocere. It means no harm. No harm to you. You could swallow that piece if you wanted and it wouldn’t hurt you. I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s not exactly pill sized, but you could’.
‘Oh...’
Kara’s eyes filled with tears and she choked down a sob as she took in the truth of what Lena had injected her with. How was this even possible? She had never imagined anyone, even her bright, brilliant science genius friend, could do something like this.
‘Lena I- I don’t know how to thank you. This is amazing, it’s the most incredible gift. But… why would you do this? I know how you feel about me’.
Lena laughed, half bitter, half disbelieving amusement.
‘No you don’t. You clearly have no idea how I feel about you, or you never could have done what you did to me. Kara, you have hurt me more than anyone in my life, and coming from my family that’s really saying something. But I’m not a machine, I can’t just switch off caring whether you live or die, no matter how much I might want to. Not now I know that it’s you in that cape, risking your life every other day and completely, stupidly helpless against a shiny green rock that turns up all too often for something from another planet. So, I fixed it. Kryptonite can’t hurt you anymore, so now you won’t get hurt. And that means I never have to spare a moment’s thought for you again. Do you see now? This means I’m over you’.
There was a hint of desperation in Lena’s voice, gilding the edges of what she clearly thought was a reasonable, rational explanation for what she’d just done for her.
‘Wait… what do you mean, you’re over me? When were you… under me?’
Oh god, had she really just said that?
She must have done, because Lena’s cheeks had gone as pink as hers felt and they stood there in silence for a moment, sharing a look of agonised helplessness that felt almost like they had slipped into an alternate time line where all the hurt between them had never existed, and instead this was the moment when…
Without realising she was doing it, Kara stepped closer to Lena, her eyes flicking to her mouth of their own accord.
‘Lena, I…’
Lena had cured Kara of her physical vulnerability. It was only fair that Kara gave her a gift in kind and confessed her emotional kryptonite, for Lena to do with what she would.
Her teeth raked her lower lip and she swallowed against the sudden dryness in her throat. Heart thumping she took a breath in readiness to admit her deepest, still unspoken truth and give Lena the opportunity, if she wanted, to make Kara truly feel the depths of her pain. She just had to hope that they weren’t so very far beyond saving that she was about to have her heart crushed all over again.
‘I-’
Lena broke the eye contact that had been drawing Kara inexorably closer, and the walls that divided them slammed back into place.
The moment snapped like a dry twig.
‘Well, that’s all I came for. You can keep the kryptonite if you like. Consider it a parting gift. Goodbye, Kara’.
With that, Lena turned and swept out of the apartment.
Go after her!
But Kara couldn’t. She stayed fixed to the spot, lips parted around the confession she hadn’t managed to make, kryptonite still cupped in her outstretched palm like an offering.
Had that really just happened? Had all that business in the lab really been about this? Curing Kara’s one great weakness, and framing it as revenge?
Tears flooded down her cheeks.
Oh Lena.
Of course she hadn’t really believed that Lena would try to kill her, but she had never for a moment imagined this either. Her very best case scenario had been that Lena had injected her with something inert, just to make her feel the shock and betrayal of being hurt by someone you should be able to trust completely.
But this?
It was too much to take in by herself. She didn’t care what time it was, she needed Alex.
With the kryptonite still clutched in her fist, Kara leapt skyward and went to find her sister.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘ARE YOU KIDDING ME?’
It was the fourth time Alex had said this since Kara had shaken her awake at 1am to talk through what had just happened.
The first was a sleepy grumble at being disturbed on what was supposed to be one of the few nights when she wasn’t on call at the DEO.
The second an incredulous murmur when Kara recounted her conversation with Lena.
The third followed almost immediately when, to prove that no, she really wasn’t kidding, Kara had held up the chunk of kryptonite to show her.
Alex had slapped it right out of her hand and called her a moron for touching it with her bare skin all this time, because what if it was some sort of trick? What if Lena had just found a way to add a protective coating that would wear away over time and poison her once her defences were down? Did she even consider that possibility??
And Kara had to admit that she hadn’t. Ever since Lena had told her, she hadn’t doubted the truth of her words for a moment, and she still didn’t.
Now they were at the DEO, and Alex had just finished testing both the kryptonite and Kara to confirm the veracity of Lena’s claim.
And… it was true. The kryptonite was real, and Kara was immune to it.
‘I can’t believe it. She really did cure you! It’s incredible. It’s- it’s- but then what the hell was all that about? The ominous hints, injecting you by force when you were practically unconscious, letting us lock her up and interrogate her? Wouldn’t it have been easier to just tell you up front what she was making and hand it over to you like a rational human being? Why all the fake villain business? Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful to her for making it, but this is just... ridiculous’.
‘No, I get it. If Lena had just given me the cure it would have looked like she was doing it for me. It would have been about our friendship and she doesn’t want that anymore – she didn’t want me to be grateful, so she delivered it in the worst way she could think of. This way she could make me feel the betrayal she felt when she found out I lied to her, and make it clear that although she was helping me, it was her way of ending things, not her letting me back in. I get why she did all that... What I don’t so much understand is why she would make the cure in the first place when she hates me so much’.
Alex dropped her head into her hands and groaned.
‘Kara, you know I love you but you can be the most annoying, oblivious person in the world sometimes. Are you and Lena ever going to just be normal about each other? Please? So I can get some sleep?’
‘Hey! I’m not oblivious, I’m a reporter! Noticing things is my whole thing!
...Why, what do you think is going on?’
‘I think that going to a huge amount of effort and, I assume, expense, to make someone invulnerable just so you don’t have to worry about their safety anymore is not how you express hatred’.
‘So... do you think she made it before she found out, then decided not to let it go to waste? But that doesn’t make sense. Lena and I clashed all the time when I was Supergirl, it’s part of why I never told her the truth, so I don’t see why she would have wanted to do that for her’.
‘… No Kara. That’s not what I think happened’.
‘Well then, what-?’
‘NOPE. I’m done. You’re going to have to figure this one out for yourself dingus. I’m going back to bed. DO NOT WAKE ME unless someone is dying. Goodnight’.
Blair + Serena prompt Colours
Blairena + Colours
Blair fidgets in her seat, trying not to let her anxiety show.
“Relax,” Serena says over her shoulder, “it’s gonna look amazing.”
Blair chews on her lip, unconvinced. “Maybe if I could just peek for a second –”
“Nope,” Serena cuts her off, cheerful but firm, and continues on with her work, painting the dye into Blair’s hair.
Blair slumps back with a sigh, her eyes still regrettably trained on the bathroom tile of their hotel room.
It had seemed like a great idea at the start. After her divorce was finalized and Serena had ended yet another engagement to a handsome someone Blair can’t even remember the name of, they’d both been desperate to just…move. To be somewhere else.
So, they packed their bags, met at the ticket counter at JFK, and bought first class seats to the first place that struck their fancy.
Serena had met her sporting her latest post-breakup cut and color: shoulder length shag with a riot of bubblegum pink and electric blue highlights, and it only took Blair two mile-high cocktails to declare her jealousy, and one club soda for Serena to offer to do her hair too as soon as possible.
And so, here she is, at the mercy of her best friend. Who, admittedly, has a great eye for both art and cosmetics, even though any project Serena takes involving either one comes with a huge amount of mess.
And Serena, knowing Blair’s reticence to let go of control, sat her down in this luxury bathroom in Ibiza, turned her away from any reflective surface, and wouldn’t even let her look at the color Serena was planning to apply to her hair.
It was all very distressing. Less distressing than the life she just left behind, but still.
But Serena knows her better than anyone, knows all her tricks, and so refuses to bend, and because it’s Serena, Blair lets her get away with it, and bears the wait through the bleaching, then the actual dyeing, and waiting for the dye to set, and the rinse and the drying, and the styling, until finally, finally, Serena sets down all her beauty tools and claps her hands.
“Okay,” she chirps, so bubbly she’s brimming over, Blair loves her when she’s excited like this—well, Blair always loves her—”close your eyes.”
“S, noooo,” she whines, “I have waited long enough, I am going to –”
She stops talking, because she’s finally turned around, and can see her reflection in the mirror.
Now, mixed in with her natural chestnut brown, is a clever cascade of purple highlights, deep and vibrant, but not too bright that it’s battling her coloring. Rather, it complements it, adds a whimsical, free, softening edge.
Mesmerized, she runs her fingers through the waves Serena made with her curling iron, watching the new color catch in the light.
It looks nothing like her, and yet, it is.
“Do you like it?” Serena asks anxiously, looking in her eyes through the mirror, twisting her hands in front of her. “I thought royal purple was the right touch.”
“Yeah,” Blair breathes. “S, I – I love it.”
Serena smiles wide, so bright that Blair thinks if they weren’t looking at each other via the glass it would turn her to stone.
Serena’s hands guide her into standing, and turn Blair around to fully face the mirror, rather than look over her shoulder. Shere arranges Blair’s hair around her shoulders, setting it into place, working with a casual kind of intimacy that only comes from knowing someone for decades, for knowing her more than her own self.
Once satisfied, Serena smoothes her hands down Blair’s arms, and leans down to prop her chin on Blair’s shoulder.
“Why, Miss Waldorf,” she says, playfully leaning on the title, “you look hot.”
Blair meets her eye through the glass, smiling, and somehow knows that it won’t turn her to stone. She’s never felt more vital.
Feeling Colours - Part Two
Tumblr media
Pairing: Draco Malfoy x Hufflepuff!Reader
Word count: 2500 give or take
Summary: Draco’s feelings for the reader start to grow
Warnings: fluff, excessive drinking, mentions of throwing up, kissing, nothing explicit, Draco being a softie (lmk if this needs more warnings)
Masterlist | Part One
Your eyes fluttered open to find Draco Malfoy sitting on a chair next to you, breathing quietly like sleep was finally hitting him. Ruffled blond strands of hair fell over his weary eyes and he’d used his suit jacket as a makeshift blanket.
Your first instinct was to silently lift up your covers and check if your clothes were still intact and thank Merlin they were.
“Have a little faith Y/n.” Draco grumbled, startling you in the process as he struggled to lift himself into a more comfortable position. “I would never take advantage of a drunk girl.”
Fragments of the previous night came back to you when you heard him say that.
The party, the burn of the booze, the dust-filled broom closet, the throwing up, the taste of soup and the strong and sturdy arms of the boy now looking at you with a sheepish grin on his face.
You eased at the sight of his smile. There came a certain type of comfort after someone had seen you throwing your guts up.
“Thank you for last night Draco.”
“Like I said before Miss raging alcoholic, Don’t make a habit of it.” He let out a small yawn and started to smooth out his hair but much to his dismay, the strands refused to cooperate.
You couldn't help but laugh at the displeased look on his face. “Here, let me—”
“NO. I absolutely refuse to let you touch my hair.” He protested, grabbing both your wrists before your fingers could make contact with his precious hair.
“Come on Malfoy.” You pleaded, now fully out of bed and trying to break free from his hands. “I swear I can fix it for you.”
“Nope.” He said firmly as he tried his hardest to maintain a straight face. “Stop it—No please not the sides—no..”
“Please, just a bit more...ah okay….there we go.”
“Haven’t you done enough Hufflepuff?!”
“Oh. that rhymed.” You laughed, still touching his hair when the two of you accidently tumbled onto the chair he was originally sleeping on.
Draco was agile in cushioning your fall with one of his hands balancing himself on the armrest and one hand wrapped around your waist.
It was only the second time he’d saved you from falling and you were already getting used to it.
Something inside of you was immediately hoping that Draco would be there to break your fall for a third time too.
It felt good with him.
It felt safe with him.
~~~
Alone at the school courtyard in the afternoon of the next day, Draco sat down in a far corner to rearrange his cluttered thoughts about you into tidy little compartments in his brain.
It should have been easy for him. He was a natural occlumens after all.
But for some bizarre reason, he couldn't find a way to erase your name, the sound of your voice and your scent that was slowly dominating all four lobes of his brain and all four chambers of his heart.
Even with the sun still in the sky, the occasional gust of wind made his hands turn cold so he instinctively shoved his hands into his blazer pocket to warm up.
It was only then that he realised that he’d completely forgotten to give your locket back to you.
~~~
A few days had now passed and Draco had gotten several opportunities to give your necklace back to you.
First it was at the great hall.
He watched you intently from the Slytherin table, waiting for the perfect opportunity to talk to you while you nibbled on a cupcake.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he watched you lick the powdery pink frosting off your Peony lips.
He wasn’t all that fond of those cupcakes you were eating but he’d have done anything for a taste of the frosting from your lips.
Before he could even manage to walk over to you, you stood up and walked away with your friends.
When you were close to the exit however, you paused and turned towards the Slytherin table to give him a tiny smile.
He quickly reached into his pocket to look at the locket, it was the exact pink shade of the frosting.
~~~
The second time he tried to return it was at Potions class.
Theo had so graciously agreed to switch partners with Draco and Snape did not seem to mind as long as the potions were brewed right.
“Crush the petals as best you can before dropping them into the cauldron.” Snape instructed and you quickly grabbed a fistfull of rose petals.
Draco watched in awe as you crushed rose petals in your hands, releasing the floral aroma into the atmosphere. The scent caught onto clothes and a flush crept onto his face.
“Well, are you going to help me, Malfoy?”
Draco silently copied your motion and stirred the cauldron till the potion was simmering and ready.
Returning your locket in the middle of Severus’s class did not seem like a smart idea so he decided to come up with a better one.
“We are having another party in the dungeons on Friday. You should come and bring Abott if you’d like.”  Draco shrugged it off like it was the most casual thing ever.
“Will there be elf made wine?” You wiggled your eyebrows at him and he let out a rather loud scoff earning the attention of the sulky potion’s master.
“Malfoy, Y/l/n.” Snape called out, looking as unimpressed as ever. “Detention.Saturday.”
“Incorrigible.” Draco muttered and you nudged him in the rib with your elbow.
“Two Saturdays.” Snape said, before dismissing the entire class.
On his way out, Draco discreetly sneaked a peak of the necklace in his pocket because he already knew what colour it was going to be.
It was the exact same pink of the rose petals you were crushing.
~~~
Two days had gone by since potions class and Draco was no longer fazed when the necklace emulated the same shades of pink from the bubblegum you were blowing or the fuschia ribbon in your hair.
Draco also didn’t think it was necessary to make another attempt to return your necklace until Friday.
He already had a lot of things preoccupying his mind like actually planning the party.
There had been no Slytherin Party planned for Friday before Draco invited you and now, He was getting his friends to help him arrange one.
Crabbe and Goyle were tasked with getting more liquor,  Blaise and Theo were responsible for music and food while Draco was responsible with the overall logistics like silencing charms and getting the word of the party out.
“All this for a girl.” Blaise mocked. Theo took this moment to whisper something to Crabbe who then whispered something to Goyle.
“Care to say it out loud, Nott?” Draco seethed as he watched his friends clutch their stomachs and laugh out loud.
“Theo called you a simp.” A teary eyed Goyle spluttered.
“A what now?”
~~~
Friday’s party topped the previous one.
More people, A wider selection of liquor, wine varietals, good food and music blasting so loud that the floors were vibrating.
As per usual, Hannah had already disappeared into some dark little corner with her paramour leaving you all alone with a group of Slytherin girls.
“I love your dress!” Exclaimed a tipsy looking Daphne Greengrass who herself was wearing a gorgeous turquoise number.
“Thank you.” You replied, giving her your most polite and friendly smile.
“Come now, let's go and dance already.” Pansy crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at the interaction. Although it wasn’t super obvious, you sensed that Pansy wasn’t too pleased to have you there.
Daphne intertwined her hands to yours and pulled you into the dancefloor with herself, Pansy Tracey Davis and Millicent Bulstrode.
Daphne’s surprisingly amiable nature took you by surprise but you decided to go with it. It was a party after all.
When she placed her hands on your shoulders, you mirrored. When she swayed her hips, so did you.
“He can't stop staring at you now, can he?” Daphne shouted into your ear over the music as you both continued to dance together.
“I’m sorry who?” You shouted back.
“Malfoy.” Daphne giggled. “ He’s been watching you all night actually. Why do you think he hosted this party in the first place?”
You stole a quick glance at Draco when no one was looking. He was sipping on a glass of whisky and watching you from a distance.
He had ditched his all black attire for a white button down shirt. The top two buttons were undone and his hair had a sort of laid back look to it
“See?” Daphne shouted again. “Hasn’t even taken his eyes off you once. It's driving Pansy nuts.”
Just to confirm if Daphne was in fact telling the truth, you tilted your head to the side to get a bitter view of him and the minute you did, your eyes met with his.
Heat spread all across your cheeks and he raised his glass to you as an acknowledgement before quickly turning away.
After that, it was just an intense and tactical little gambit of who caught who staring.
He covertly watched you sway your hips and you secretly noticed the way he tapped his fingertips on the glass he was holding.
Both of you refused to relent to whatever game this was up until the point where he grabbed a bottle of fire whisky and started to walk away.
You didn't even need to think twice about where he was headed.
“Go on.” Daphne nudged encouragingly.
~~~
Draco pulled the closet door open and stepped inside with a smile playing at his lips.
The last time he was there, he was introduced to you, your scent, your smile, your eyes.
Before that night in the closet, he took colours at their face value. They were nothing more than visual representations of light—what amount, what hue, what saturation.
It was strange how things had changed for him.
Not only did you make him see colours in a whole new light, you made him feel them, you made him hear them.
As Draco settled down with his drink, he saw the door creak open.
It was still dark but he could already tell that it was you by the scent of your perfume. Oh, he could never ever forget that aroma even if he tried.
Lumos.
Draco held his wand in front of him and allowed himself to turn to his side to get a better view of you.
Never had he ever seen someone glow the way you did under the lumos charm. The radiance in your eyes, the pearlescence of your skin and the curvature of your lips made him lightheaded.
“I feel like this closet is going to be a recurring thing for us huh?” You beamed at him and he found himself swooning.
Salazar Slytherin. Nott was right. He was a simp.
“I guess so.” Draco quickly answered, Blaming this dizziness on the lack of ventilation while taking a big sip of his drink.
“I don’t mind.” You said and twisted open the bottle of wine you’d brought with you.
“Don’t tell me you brought another bottle of that god awful wine in here.”
 “It’s actually not that bad and it gets you drunk way quicker.” You shrugged.
“Why do I feel like I might have to walk you to your dorm again?”
He watched you take a long slow sip of wine and couldn’t help himself from noting that your lips were slowly getting stained red with the fruity nectar.
“Might?” You shook your head. “Sorry to break it to you, but this wine is going to catch up with me soon.”
Draco jokingly palmed his face, earning a laugh from you. It seemed like the perfect time to hand you your lost possession back.
“Atleast, I’ll know when you are going to be sick though.” Draco said as he fished for the locket in his pocket.
“How come?”
“Because of this.” He explained, holding the necklace out. “I’m sorry I should have given it back sooner.”
“That’s okay.” You murmured softly and pushed your hair away from your neck and he instantly took this as a cue to drape the necklace back to where it belonged.
“Ah…there you go.” He whispered into your ear before shifting back to look at the gem.
Draco expected it to be pink but to his astonishment, the gem had already turned a vibrant red.
A new colour.
He could see red in the apples of your cheeks.
He could feel red pumping through his veins and hear red in the way his heart was rapidly beating.
 “It’s red.” You commented and he slowly nodded.
Even though he knew what red was for him, he needed to hear your interpretation before making his next move.
“What does red mean to you y/n?”
“To me, well…..red represents um..passion, something fiery, something that burns bright, leaves you breathless.” You whispered looking as if you were feeling almost as breathless as him.
Draco swallowed hard when he noticed just how close your face was to his.
“Y/n?”
“Hmm?”
“If I kissed you right now, would you kiss me back?”
He noticed that your breathing was progressively getting shorter. You looked startled at his sudden question but held his gaze nonetheless.
“I guess you’ll have to see for yourself, Draco.”
He couldn’t help but let out a hoarse chuckle before pressing his forehead to yours. “Is that an invitation hm?”
You didn’t say a word but the deepening red color of your necklace gave everything away.
Any remaining doubt in his mind went away when he felt you caress his cheeks with your cold hands.
He gently let his fingers slip into your hair as he closed the distance between your lips.
The kiss was reminiscent of the rush of first love. The innocence, the giggles.
The kiss paid homage that perfumed night in the broom closet that had started it all.
The kiss was bleeding, seeping, trickling In various shades of red and he was drinking every drop.
Draco Malfoy could finally tell what the colour red tasted like.
It tasted like your wine stained lips.
He backed away and placed a gentle kiss on the top of your head and you gave him a shy smile in return.
~~~
The two of you spent the remainder of the party inside the closet.
Drinking, talking, laughing and more kissing.
So much kissing.
“Alright y/n, let’s get you to your room now shall we?” Draco sighed when he noticed that you were getting more and more inebriated by the minute. “Come on.”
You struggled to step out of the closet and almost tripped on your own two drunken feet.
Almost.
“As if I’m going to let you fall face first.” He mumbled to himself before lifting you up in his arms.
You let out a small laugh before looking up at him.
“Draco?”
“Hmm?”
“I know you said to not make a habit of this but unfortunately for you, I already have.”
FIN.

Of needles and seduction
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff and smut Words: 15.2k Prompt: Johnny tattoo shop AU featuring best friends Yangyang and Jaemin Warnings: contains smut, Daddy-kink, size-kink, mentions of mirror-sex
A/N: This is very self-indulgent, I’m sorry. While I do have piercings myself, I know next to nothing about tattoos, so I’m sorry if anything is inaccurate. Also I don’t advise what some characters in this are doing for yourself. Just a quick special thanks to @burtonized who has listened to me ramble about this story and Johnny and helped me write this by giving me ideas and support. Thank you darling! This fic is a beast, I have never written anything this long,it’s insane. If smut isn’t for you, you can stop reading after the phone call and still have a pretty decent story. If you feel like, you’ve seen this post before, you might have. I deleted the original one because tumblr decided to delete it from the tags.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” You asked for what you felt was the tenth time in the past five minutes. “It’s going to be fine. The shop is clean and sanitary,” your friend Yangyang groaned while running his hands through his messy, blonde hair. It was getting way too long, hanging low into his eyes. “I’m just saying that this doesn’t seem like a safe place,” you mumbled but followed your hyper friend through a more than dubious looking side street of Itaewon. “Jaemin got his piercings done in the same shop and those healed just fine, stop being a baby,” the blonde said while rolling his eyes. He quickly checked his phone for the address of the (probably illegal) piercing and tattoo shop and took a sharp turn into an even shadier looking street. “I still don’t get while you need me to come with you when you want to get your nipples pierced for god knows what of a stupid reason.” “It’s easy,” Yangyang grinned at you, “Ten said I wouldn’t dare to do it. And I’m going to prove him wrong and you’re going to document the progress.” “Do you ever listen to yourself talk? You’re literally paying someone to stab you into your nipples to shove a piece of metal through it just to prove a point.” “It’s just one nipple though.” “How does that make it any better, Yangyang?” You deadpanned. Your friend groaned again. “I knew I should have taken Guanheng with me. He would have been supportive.” “He would also be supportive of getting ‘I love Tacos’ tattooed on your ass.” “He would,” Yangyang agreed with an exaggerated dreamy look on his face. “What a madlad.”
You sighed but couldn’t help smiling at his antics. You had befriended the hyper exchange student when you had been assigned to be partners for a group project for your mandarin class. Yangyang had only taken the class for extra credit and easy good grades while you were struggling like crazy and had seriously questioned all your life choices that had let to you taking the class. (But mostly you regretted listening to Renjun who had convinced you it would be an easy class.) The group project turned out to be rather easy when you had a native speaker as your partner and you had become fond of the younger student, staying in touch with him and helping him find his way around the big campus. If you had known that he was a package deal with a bunch of other equally hyper and questionably crazy exchange students, you might have thought a little longer about keeping in touch after the project was over. But who were you kidding, the other boys and Yangyang were incredibly dear to you and if Kun had his regular morning coffee, the others weren’t even that chaotic.
“That’s it,” Yangyang suddenly exclaimed, pointing at a small beat up looking wooden door that looked like it was ready to fall out of the doorway any second. But a little green neon sign that hang next to it flashed the word “open” onto the street indicating that a shop must be hiding behind it. Your arguably best friend quickly grabbed your hand as if he had been sensing that you were about to complain again and dragged you into the shop. A little bell jingled quietly when Yangyang closed the door behind you two. You took a deep breath to calm your nerves (hell you weren’t even the one to get stabbed with a needle) and took a look around the small room. It was small and poorly lit and every free space on the walls was plastered with drawings and photos of both freshly done and healed tattoos. You had to admit that whoever had done those had done a good job, they looked really neat. You guessed that at least two artists must be working in the shop. A good portion of the art were very neat black and white works (some looking freakishly realistic) while others were very vibrant and artistic.
With a confident bounce in his step, Yangyang went up to the counter to a man with wild bubblegum pink hair wearing a black tank top that showed off the ink on his arms and torso, all kept in black except for a deep red rose on the side of his neck. His eyes were lined with dark eyeliner, making them seem like dark bottomless orbs, and they were fixed to the screen of a laptop that was covered in stickers that were a wild mixture of cute characters and various rock and hip-hop bands. “And what brings you here?” The man asked with a surprisingly deep voice, turning his head towards your friend. “A friend of mine told me I could get pierced here,” Yangyang spoke, his hands fumbling with the loose threads of his sweater. “And if that was the case, what would you want to get pierced?” “My nipple.” At that the other man raised one of his perfectly arched eyebrows. “People usually start off with getting an earring or something.” “Go hard or go home,” Yangyang grinned, making the other man snort. “If you have 70.000 Won in cash, I can look if one of the piercers is free.” When your friend got out his worn wallet and put a couple of bills onto the counter, the other man smiled for the first time. It didn’t quite fit his whole dark punk aesthetic but you couldn’t deny that he was really good looking.
“Don’t run away now kiddo, I’ll see if someone is free,” he grinned, “I’m Taeyong by the way.” When he disappeared behind a curtain made out of pearls into the back, Yangyang turned towards you with the biggest smile on his face. “I told you it was going to be fine.” You just hummed nonchalantly, still not entirely supportive of the whole idea. “One of the guys is ready in a bit,” Taeyong said when he came back to the main room. “Are you getting anything?” He asked, looking at you. “Oh no, she’s a scaredy-cat, just here for moral support and to document that I actually did it,” your friend answered for you. Your face immediately heated up under the intense gaze of the pink haired tattoo artist. “Too bad,” he just shrugged. “So technically you need to sign stuff for legal issues and whatnot. But since this place doesn’t exactly exist on records, we’re skipping that part. You’re not on drugs or any meds, right?” “I’m not,” Yangyang shook his head, making his hair flop back into his face. “Any issues with fainting or other medical conditions?”   “Nope.”   “Great. Had a good meal before coming here?” “I had breakfast,” Yangyang shrugged. “You had a slice of cold pizza from yesterday,” you groaned. “That I ate in the morning, therefore it’s breakfast,” he argued. “Well in that case,” Taeyong interrupted your bickering and threw a granola bar into Yangyang’s hands, “Eat that and let your girlfriend treat you to some proper food afterwards.” Before the blonde could deny anything, you had already opened your mouth to tell the other man that in fact you weren’t dating.
“Sure, sorry for assuming,” he shrugged and sat back behind the counter, taking out an iPad and began drawing something, probably a tattoo design. “Nervous yet?” You asked Yangyang who was uncharacteristically quiet while munching on the granola bar. “Shit, I’m really doing this,” he replied, exhaling shakily. “You don’t actually have to, Yangyang,” you tried to comfort him. “And let Ten just get away like that? No way. I am doing this. I’m not his little baby Yangyang anymore,” he said like the stubborn child he was. You could just sigh and roll your eyes at him. “He might have just been joking, you know?” “One does not simply challenge Liu Yangyang like that and not expect consequences.” “Kun is going to actually flip and pop a vein,” you tried to reason with your friend for a last time. Kun was doing a lot of coordination work for the exchange students with a Chinese background and had taken on almost a fatherly role for the younger students that hadn’t been in Korea for long. And even though Ten wasn’t even that much younger than Kun, he almost lost his otherwise calm composure when the Thai boy had announced that he successfully had pierced his ear by himself yet again after he had convinced a poor med student to smuggle some equipment for him. And from there the situation had somehow escalated into Ten daring Yangyang to get a nipple piercing. “Well he can’t do anything about it once it’s done. We’ll just make sure he’s with someone who can call an ambulance if he ends up having an aneurism.”
“Someone still wants their nipple pierced?” A new voice interrupted your conversation and a tall man with dark inky hair came into the room, making the pearls of the curtain clink against each other. One side of his head was shaved while the longer hair on the other side framed his handsome face beautifully. He was wearing a loose black T-shirt paired with ripped jeans with almost as many holes as there was fabric that hugged his long legs perfectly, showing that he had also ink on his legs. From his lobe dangled a little silver chain and of course his arms were covered in intricate designs, one arm strictly black ink while the other sported some colorful pieces as well. In the center of his plush lower lip sat a black ring and just beneath his left eye two little silver balls were reflecting the low light. You couldn’t deny that the man looked absolutely stunning despite his unusual appearance.
“Yes, me,” Yangyang eagerly answered the man’s question and walked towards him, tugging you with him. “Too bad,” the piercer grinned cheekily and winked in your direction, making your heart flutter in your chest and heat rise to your face, before he extended a big hand to shake Yangyang’s much smaller one. “I’m Johnny,” he introduced himself before leading you both into a smaller room in the back with a simple black padded bench in the middle of the room and a desk tucked into a corner. The walls were plastered with art and photos like the main room, showing that Johnny apparently was able to pull off a bunch of different tattoo styles. He seemed to have a thing for florals and roses though. The only free space was taken up by a full body mirror at the opposite wall. Johnny sat down on the little stool that was standing by the desk and motioned for Yangyang to sit on the bench while you sat down in the only other chair in the room, made of worn looking black leather.
“Let me see your chest before we start this whole thing,” Johnny spoke to your friend after he had grabbed a pair of silver framed glasses that sat low on his elegant nose and slipped on a fresh pair of black gloves. With only slightly trembling hands, Yangyang pulled his sweater over his head, keeping his hands buried in the fabric. “Looks good to me. Left or right one?” “Ehrm, I haven’t really thought about it,” he confessed. Johnny chuckled. “Spontaneous decision to get your nipple pierced?” “He does it to prove a point to a friend,” you supplied before Yangyang had the chance to answer. “Seems like a valid reason,” the tattoo artist grinned, “You play guitar or anything where the strap could irritate the new piercing?” “Just the violin,” Yangyang supplied, demonstrating how he would hold his instrument. “Then I’d suggest we go for the left one,” Johnny concluded, grabbing a bunch of stuff he needed. “Is it going to hurt badly?” “No idea, mine aren’t pierced.” “The first one is fine,” another voice chimed into the conversation and a pink mess of hair appeared in the doorway. “My client is there and Jaehyun isn’t back from his break yet, have an open ear for the door.” Johnny just hummed but it seemed enough to satisfy Taeyong who disappeared just as quickly as he had appeared.
“You ready?” Johnny asked one last time. Yangyang took a deep but shaky breath and nodded. “You better film this so Ten knows it’s real,” he said, holding out his phone towards you. Rolling your eyes, you got up from your actually really comfortable chair and took the phone from your best friend’s hands while Johnny disinfected Yangyang’s nipple and drew two little circles where the bar would go through it before grabbing a small mirror to show him. “Let’s do this,” your best friend nodded and you pressed record. “It’ll be quick,” Johnny promised, disinfecting one last time before he grabbed a pair of tongs to hold the nipple in place and freed a needle from a foil package. “I’ll count to three and then I’ll start, alright?” “A-Alright.” “Last time to chicken out.” “No, I’m doing this,” Yangyang gritted out, closing his eyes. After that everything happened really fast: Johnny counted to three and steadily pushed the needle through Yangyang’s nipple, who bit his lip hard. He then let the needle dangle from the nipple while freeing a little barbell from another foil package to insert it through the canal he just had made. “And that’s it,” he announced when he secured the little balls on either side of the barbell. You ended the recording when Yangyang left out the breath he had been holding in. “Now no sports, especially no swimming or sexual activities for a while. Clean it well and don’t worry if it gets sore, that’s normal. It can take a while to heal, so be patient and don’t let it get infected. You can get a smaller barbell or a ring once it’s healed. Just come back to get it changed to be safe.” “Fuck I really did that,” Yangyang cursed and looked down to his chest, “I think I need a minute before I can get up.”
“Take your time, I don’t have any clients for another half an hour,” Johnny reassured him, putting the used materials into the trash. “Just please don’t vomit all over the floor or hit your head while fainting.” “That has happened before?” You asked, eyes wide. “Not on me but it’s not unheard of. You sure you don’t want anything?” he asked, turning towards you. His silver framed glasses had slid down his nose a little and you couldn’t deny that the man looked really hot, looking at you from beneath his lashes. “She’s too scared,” Yangyang teased. He couldn’t feel too bad if he still could do that then. “Too bad, I think you would really suit a little conch or something,” the piercer motioned around his own ear to indicate what piercing he meant. “A conch?” You asked, turning towards the mirror to try to imagine it. “Wait let me show you.” Johnny quickly got up to search through the drawers of his desk before he pulled out a little box with a bunch of jewelry, grabbing a small hoop. He stood behind you in front of the mirror. “Hold still for me,” he breathed and bend down to push your hair behind your ear before he carefully put the fake piercing in place. For a moment you could swear that time had stopped. You felt his breath fanning over your skin gently and could smell the intoxicating smell of his cologne. You were so close to each other, you were sure that if you turned your head, your noses would brush against each other. But before you could do anything stupid, Johnny pulled back and gently turned your head so you could see the little silver ring. “I think I could put an even smaller one if you wanted,” he said, watching you through the mirror with an intense gaze from his dark eyes. “I’ve never thought about getting a piercing,” you admitted shyly. While you did get your lobes pierced when you were a child, you never thought of it much. “It looks good. Not so much like daddy’s good girl anymore,” the piercer grinned. You almost choked on air when the words left his plush lips, feeling the heat rush to your cheeks.
“How much?” “For you I’ll do it for free, darling,” he grinned, running a hand through his thick dark hair, making his muscles shift beneath his inked skin. While your brain was still short-circuiting from the nickname, Yangyang seemed to be back to 100%, destroying whatever the atmosphere between you and the tattoo artist just was. “Are you really going to say no to a free piercing, dude?” You could just groan and roll your eyes at your best friend. “Stop calling me dude, Yangyang.” “Only if you get that piercing.” “That’s blackmailing.” “Just do it, it won’t even hurt right?” “It’s just a bit of pressure,” Johnny assured you, his lips curled into a smile. “I can always take it out if I don’t end up liking it,” you thought out aloud. “The beauty of temporary body modifications,” Johnny sighed before he stepped in front of you to take the fake piercing off again. With his face so close to yours again, your eyes traveled over the little silver balls beneath his left eye, over his elegant nose down to the black ring in his lower lip and you briefly wondered what it would feel like to kiss him. “So what will it be?” You looked over to your best friend who had put his hoodie back on and nodded his head enthusiastically, making his fluffy hair flop into his eyes. He really needed a haircut.
“Alright, let’s do this,” you decided. “That’s what I like to hear,” Johnny grinned and moved to get his stuff ready. “Need me to hold your hand?” Yangyang grinned when you took his place on the bench. “I wouldn’t want to contaminate you with girl germs,” you teased, sticking your tongue out at him. “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind some girl germs if they’re coming from such a pretty girl,” Johnny cut in when he rolled back over on his stool, his glasses pushed back up his nose again. You couldn’t even fight the heat that crept onto your face at his words, he sure could feel it radiating off your cheeks from where his gloved hands were touching your skin. “I’ll do it where I placed the fake one, just with a smaller ring, alright?” He spoke softly when he disinfected your ear. You could just nod, anxiety taking over, making your heart race and skin prickle. When you heard the plastic bag that held the sterile needle rip, you pressed your eyes shut and balled your hands to fists. “Take a deep breath for me, doll,” Johnny mumbled, gently caressing your skin where he had grabbed your face to stabilize you. “In and out.” You shakily did as he asked you, his low voice comforting and calming your anxiety a lot. “Now you breathe in and let me count to three, then you gently release that breath. Can you do that for me, darling?” “Yeah,” you breathed, eyes still closed so you missed the soft smile on Johnny’s face. “Alright, deep breath in. One, two, three,” the pain of the needle piercing through your skin made you clench your fists harder, “And breathe out.” You tried your best to release the breath evenly until the pressure of the needle was just a low thudding. “You’re doing great, darling,” the handsome piercer reassured you, “I’ll just push the ring through and we’re all done here. Take another breath for me.” This time the feeling wasn’t as painful, just a really uncomfortable feeling of pressure. “All done, pretty,” Johnny concluded, clicking the ring closed. “Open your eyes.”
When you did open your eyes again, he held the little hand mirror from before in his still gloved hands so you could see the little ring that sat against your ear now. The skin was a bright red and you could feel your pulse throb around the metal but it actually fit the shape of your ear really nicely. “Thank you,” you smiled at Johnny. “It’s been a pleasure,” he winked before gathering the used needle and tissues to throw them away. “Take good care of it and try to not sleep on that side for a couple of nights and it will be healed in no time.” “Let’s go home, big baby,” Yangyang chirped in, already on his feet to leave the room. “I’m starving.” “There’s a good ramen shop a little up the street, not too expensive either,” Johnny recommended.
“Thanks for the piercings, man,” your best friend thanked the artist when he took you back to the main room. “No big deal,” Johnny shrugged and sat down where Taeyong had sat before, putting his long legs up on the counter. “Well, have a nice day, maybe we’ll come back for more some time,” Yangyang grinned, opening the door to leave the shop. “Oh I’m sure you will,” the artist replied, locking eyes with you before winking. “Take good care of that piercing, doll. You know where you have to come to if you want more.” You nodded shyly before bowing to the man. “Thank you, Johnny.” “I’ll see you again,” it wasn’t a question. Somehow you and him both knew that this wouldn’t be the last time you would step into the shady tattoo shop.
Tumblr media
The next time that you found yourself in the shady streets of Itaewon came faster than you had thought. This time you were accompanying Jaemin to his tattoo appointment after Jeno had ditched him because he had to take over a shift at the cat café he worked at. (That poor boy had to take antihistamines before every shift because of his allergies but couldn’t resist the charm of the kittens.)   “You’re a lifesaver seriously,” the hyper boy repeated while jumping up and down excitedly, “Sitting still for hours on end is really so boring if you have no one to talk to.” “Can’t you talk to your artist?” You asked confused. “He threatened to stab me with the tattoo gun the last time when I was trying to talk to him while he worked,” Jaemin pouted. You could only imagine how irritating Jaemin and his moods could be to someone who wasn’t used to him. Ever since he had decided that he wanted to commit to what he had dubbed a soft punk look, he had been going to the shop somewhat regularly to start a collection of tattoos and piercings. It had started a year ago when he first had dyed his hair to a light blue color. Shortly after that he had first gotten his ears and then his nose pierced. The two lip rings in his lower lip were his newest addition as far as piercings went. The tattoos came a little later. After much consideration he had made the decision to start a floral piece on his arm, the center would be a hummingbird, all with black ink for now.
After a little bit of Instagram stalking you had easily identified the intricate flowers that adored Jaemin’s upper arm as Johnny’s work and the thought of seeing the handsome tattoo artist again had made your heart beat faster in your chest. Not that Jaemin needed to know that you weren’t coming with him for his sake but rather because of your desire to see the dark haired flirty man again.   You had been thinking about his dark eyes behind his silver framed glasses and how he scrunched his eyebrows when he was concentrating a lot for the last weeks. (Not that you had replayed the video of him piercing Yangyang an unhealthy amount of times or anything…) Every time you took care of your new piercing it reminded you of how his fingers felt on your skin and how his deep voice had gently guided you through everything. Not to forget how easily the pet names had rolled from his lips. And oh god his lips… His Instagram account featured a good amount of pictures of himself both casual and while working and the way his plush lips would curl into a confident smirk did things to your heart. His latest update had been the actual death of yours though. It had shown the new tattoo he had gotten recently: It was an intricate eagle that spread over his muscled chest, the feathers of the wings blending seamlessly into the other art covering his strong shoulders and biceps. Did you already mention that he was freaking shirtless in the picture? And that he was hiding a seriously ripped body beneath the wide T-Shirt he wore the last time you were at the shop? So to say that your thoughts had started to spiral after seeing that post was a little understated.
You still felt a little uneasy when you followed Jaemin through the backstreets of Itaewon but when the shabby door with the neon green ‘open’ sign came in sight, you felt the feeling disappear, only for it to be replaced with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. Jaemin grinned widely when he pushed the door open and his good mood was always infectious, a smile creeping on your lips. This time a new man sat at the counter, lazily rocking back and forth on the chair with his phone in his hand. His hair was dark and hung into his eyes and he wore a dark, long sleeved hoodie, so you couldn’t see if he had as many tattoos as his colleagues but if the tattoos on his hands and neck were any indication, he must be pretty covered as well. You recognized the rose on the back of his hand from one of Johnny’s Instagram posts. When the man looked up, you saw that he didn’t only have tattoos but piercings as well: In his lower lip sat two rings right next to each other, a ring dangled from his nose and two little silver balls sat in the hollows of his dimples that showed when he smiled at Jaemin. “Back for more?” He asked with a deep, rumbling voice and got up to greet Jaemin properly, bumping their shoulders together. “Got an appointment with Johnny for my sleeve,” the blue haired boy replied. “I see the snake bites healed well.” “Done by the best piercer of the shop.” “You know it,” the man laughed, throwing an arm around Jaemin. “Brought your girlfriend?” “I’m just a friend,” you quickly corrected the piercer. (Why couldn’t you just platonically join a friend for his tattoo session?) “Alright, just a friend, I’m Jaehyun. Johnny should be ready by now. You know the way?” Jaemin nodded and pulled you with him to Johnny’s room.
When Jaemin pulled the curtain to the room open, you weren’t prepared for what you were seeing: Johnny was standing in front of the full length mirror with his black button up shirt unbuttoned, applying cream to his still tender looking eagle tattoo on his chest, making his beautiful sunkissed skin glisten. “You’re early, Jaem,” he spoke. “Jaehyun said you were already ready,” the blue haired boy shrugged and plopped down onto the black bench. “Oh you brought company,” Johnny turned around when he spotted you and grinned, “I knew you’d come back, doll. How’s your piercing healing?” You had to summon all your strength to rip your eyes from Johnny’s strong and glistening chest to meet his dark eyes. “It’s fine as far as I know, doesn’t hurt anymore,” you stumbled across your words. Couldn’t he just button his shirt back up? “Let me see.” Before you could protest he had made two big steps and was right in front of you, the intoxicating smell of his perfume filling your senses. He gently tucked your hair back to have a look at the piercing and you swore you could feel electricity buzz beneath your skin where he had touched you. “You took great care of it, darling. Not regretting it yet?” “No, I like it.” I like you. The words had laid on your tongue but you managed to swallow them back down.
“Stop flirting with her, I’m the one paying for your attention,” Jaemin whined from where he was sitting. You of course immediately felt all your blood rush to your head but Johnny just chuckled. “I haven’t seen any cash yet, boy.” The tattoo artist gave you a last wink before turning towards his actual client, buttoning his shirt back up but leaving the last two buttons unbuttoned, letting the head of the eagle just barely poke out. Taking a deep breath you sat down in the worn leather chair while Jaemin handed Johnny a bunch of bills that the taller quickly counted. “Alright, I’m all yours for the next five hours or so,” he grinned, “You saw the drafts I sent you?” Jaemin nodded while he took off his jacket and rolled up the sleeve of his T-Shirt to expose the ink on his arm. It was already beautiful even though it wasn’t even halfway done. The hummingbird was still missing its shading and he hung in the air for now, the flowers and leaves stopping above its head. “Yeah, I’m still not sure about the color though. Can’t we just do more flowers instead?” “Sure but the inner arm and near the elbow is going to hurt like a bitch. So it’s either that or you let me color that hummingbird.” Jaemin groaned dramatically, turning his arm to look into the mirror. “He does look weird just half-finished like that.” “So color it is?” Johnny asked while rolling up the sleeves of his shirt a bit, exposing his own tattoos: A snake like dragon curled around his entire right arm, kept in all black ink. “I really liked that green-blue watercolor thing you sent,” Jaemin supplied when he turned to lie down. “Right, then I’ll do some flowers directly surrounding the bird and color that thing.” He snapped his black gloves on and turned to prepare his machine and the colors.
“Come closer with that stupid chair,” Jaemin whined, making grabby hands at you. After Johnny nodded, you pushed the chair closer with great effort. “Are you going to whine for the whole time?” You groaned but smiled fondly at your friend. “Most likely,” Johnny answered instead of Jaemin and rolled over on his little stool, his silver framed glasses back on his nose and a pen between his lips. “I’ll freehand a bunch of flowers first to make sure they fit around that little guy nicely.” “And I thought you liked putting others in pain,” Jaemin joked when Johnny adjusted a little lamp and began to draw flower after flower. It was really fascinating how quick his hand drew delicate petals and leaves, filling up the space around the hummingbird. “Oh if I put others in pain, they usually like it,” he grinned, his voice dropping an octave. You almost choked on plain air and had to try to mask it as coughing but if the way Johnny’s eyes twinkled was any indication, he had seen right through it and dared to be smug about it. “Wow my third appointment and we’re already talking about kinks?” “Sorry Jaem, not interested,” the artist laughed, “I’m more into cute girls.” He leaned back to examine his drawing, throwing you another quick wink. You barely held in a squeak. He really wasn’t even trying to be subtle about his flirting anymore. “Ready for the big gun?” “Oh dick jokes now, nice,” Jaemin chuckled while you were sure your head was about to explode from how much blood was collecting in there. You covered your hot cheeks with your hands in a hopeless attempt to cool them. “Oh look Johnny, she’s getting shy already.” “I haven’t even started yet, baby.” That was it. This man was going to be the death of you. You really didn’t need to know what it sounded like when he spoke those words that were dripping with honey. “Why did I agree to come with you?” You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. “Because you missed me”, Johnny said at the same time as Jaemin said: “Because you’re a good friend.”
After a beat of silence in which Johnny arranged his actual tattoo gun and Jaemin stared at you while his smile grew bigger and bigger, he asked: “Now which one is it?” “I’m not answering that,” you mumbled from beneath your fingers. “No answer is an answer as well,” Jaemin singsang but luckily the low buzzing of the tattoo machine saved you from any further embarrassment… For now…   “Now hold still or I’ll actually stab you,” Johnny warned before he dipped the needle into black ink and began to trace the lines he had just drawn on with a fine needle. “Yessir,” Jaemin joked, wiggling his eyebrows.
Johnny was unusually quiet while he worked, completely tuning out the chatter of you and Jaemin about shitty professors and assignments. You were absolutely fascinated by the confidence he radiated while dragging the needle over his client’s skin. He went back and forth between two different tattoo guns and rubbed Jaemin’s skin every now and then to get rid of excess ink. Soon Jaemin’s whole upper arm was decorated with delicate flowers and leaves and Johnny leaned back to both take a deep breath while stretching his back and to look at his work. “Let’s take a break before I do the color,” he proposed, wiping down the skin. “It looks great,” you complimented his work, taking a picture for Jaemin so he could see it himself. “Damn that pain really pays off,” your friend grinned, zooming in and out of the picture before posting it to his Instagram. “Does it hurt badly?” “You get used to it,” he shrugged, not taking his eyes from his feed, “It’s more like someone continuously scratching you.” “I can show you if you want,” Johnny chimed in from where he was cleaning his tattoo gun from the black ink. “I don’t think I’m spontaneous enough for a sudden tattoo.” “Not even if I offer it for free again?” He laughed. “I’m not mentally prepared for that,” you tried to reason. “I can still show you how it feels though. Without ink.” You shyly nodded and held out your arm for him that he quickly wiped down with disinfectant when he was done putting a fresh needle into the gun. “Just don’t flinch, darling,” he softly spoke before the buzzing of his tattoo gun filled the silence. You expected it to hurt a lot more when the needle touched your skin but it really wasn’t that bad. It was an odd kind of pain you couldn’t really describe. “It’s not that bad,” you told him, looking into his beautiful brown eyes behind his glasses. “It hurts more when it’s directly on the bone or at a more tender area,” Johnny explained and turned the gun off again, bending down to look at the slightly reddened skin of your arm before chucking the used needle into the nearby trashcan. “Let’s patch that up real quick, just treat it like any other scratch.” You nodded and let the handsome man put a band-aid over it. But before you could pull your arm back again, he leaned down to press a kiss on the cloth “For a good and quick healing,” he breathed and grinned smugly when you quickly turned your head away to hide your heated face.
“When you’re done flirting, will you finally put some color into me?” Jaemin interrupted, grinning widely. “That’s what she said,” you mumbled under your breath, making Johnny chuckle. “All you need to do is ask, darling.” Before you could even wrap your mind around what the tattoo artist had just implied, he had already rolled back over to your blue haired friend to take a look at the hummingbird. “Alright let’s do this,” he grinned before wiping down the skin once more. The buzzing of a new machine filled the room and Jaemin scrunched his eyes shut when the needle dipped in turquoise ink met his skin. “This is nasty,” he complained. “Don’t be a baby,” Johnny murmured, dragging the needle over your friend’s skin that accepted the ink quickly. “You want to hold my hand?” You giggled. What you didn’t expect was for Jaemin to actually reach out to you with his unoccupied arm, making a grabby hand. “Jeno always holds my hand,” he whined. “You’re such a big baby, Nana,” you sighed but still laced your fingers together, yelping loudly when Jaemin squeezed down hard. “You said it didn’t even hurt, you big liar,” you squeezed out between gritted teeth. “You’re not the one getting stabbed,” Jaemin argued, “That shit hurts different than the black.” “It’s a different needle,” Johnny explained, “People usually say it hurts less than outlines though.” “It’s not more or less, it’s just different.” “Well it’s going to hurt more if you keep seizing up like that, relax.” “You’re one to fucking talk,” Jaemin sounded upset. “Don’t curse at me for giving you a pretty tattoo,” Johnny just said, dipping his needle into the little pot that held the color again. “Talk him through it,” the artist said to you, looking up from behind his glasses that had slipped down his nose again.
“Hey, remember that time when Donghyuck was so drunk he wanted to jump from the roof into the pool at that frat house?” You quickly said, the silly story coming to mind first. The memory made Jaemin giggle. “Jeno and Mark had so much trouble holding him back once he managed to climb out of the window,” the blue haired boy chuckled. “They were lucky they didn’t fall off.” “That would have made for an even better story though,” Jaemin laughed. “They could have hurt themselves,” you said, scandalized, “You’re hanging out with Renjun too much.” Jaemin didn’t answer, instead he just hummed and wiggled his dark eyebrows.
“Did you ever go to college?” You asked Johnny out of curiosity even though Jaemin had said that the artist preferred to keep quiet and concentrate on his work. “Do I look like I went?” He just laughed, cocking one of his stupidly perfect eyebrows at you when he looked up. “Well, I didn’t want to assume,” you shied away under his gaze. “I dropped out of high school to learn tattooing,” Johnny shared while painting Jaemin’s skin as blue as his hair, “I wasn’t good in school anyways. So art school or something wasn’t an option either. Not that I would have had any money for that.” “What made you want to pick up tattooing then?” You asked curiously. “Art usually is very temporarily and if you make a mistake, you can just erase it or paint over it with another color. Not so much with tattoos. I like that. It’s immortal as long as you don’t start shooting lasers at it.” “I’ve never thought about it like that,” you confessed. Tattooing had never seemed like art to you but that was exactly what it was. Just not on a canvas but under your skin. “Thinking about getting one now?” Jaemin teased, squeezing your hand that he still held. “I haven’t even told my parents about the piercing,” you scoffed, “They would disown me.” “Well too bad, I know a pretty good tattoo artist,” he joked and poked his tongue out. “Do you now?” Johnny asked, a grin on his lips, wiping down Jaemin’s arm before going in with a lighter color. “Yeah, he works in this shady ass shop in Itaewon and I am pretty sure you can buy drugs there as well.” “Those are not for sale,” the artist chuckled when he saw your scandalized expression. “It’s just anesthetics for certain piercing procedures, calm down doll.” “So sadly, it turns out you can’t buy drugs at their shop but it still looks shady and I’m pretty sure they’re paying part of the mafia so the police won’t come to investigate.” “I know nothing of transactions of this sort,” Johnny commented before you could get an actual heart attack. Illegally tattooing and piercing was one thing but mingling with the mafia was a whole other thing. “Anyways, he does pretty cool tattoos and pierces as well,” Jaemin continued, a grin on his lips, “Also talking male to male here, he’s pretty ripped.” At that Johnny started grinning as well. “Wanna know his name?” Jaemin asked you when Johnny turned to clean his needle and you just rolled your eyes but nodded, wondering what he was getting out of all of this. “It’s Jaehyun.” “Excuse me?” Johnny exclaimed with wide eyes when both you and your blue haired friend started laughed at his stupid joke. “This kid,” he mumbled and shook his head before putting the needle back to Jaemin’s skin who seemed to have forgotten to whine about the pain.
The rest of the appointment was spend with you and Jaemin chatting about this and that and a short video call from a red eyed Jeno who had finished his shift at the cat café and wanted to apologize and promised to buy you two dinner after you were done. “I think that’s all I can do for today,” Johnny said after he had stared at the little hummingbird for a while, “Your skin took the color well but if I do any more, I’ll stress the skin too much. I can go in another time if I need to fix anything.” Jaemin nodded, sitting up so he could inspect the colorful hummingbird in the mirror. “Wow that looks sick,” he commented, his eyes going wide, “Totally worth the pain.” “That’s what I wanna hear,” the artist grinned, grabbing some paper towels to rub the tattoo down once more. “Let me snap a picture to post.”
After both men had taken about 20 photos each, Johnny quickly wrapped Jaemin’s arm in plastic wrap, reminding him how to take care of it. “Text me for the next session, I think we could fit some pretty roses at the bottom. Maybe add a dash of color here and there or other animals,” the artist smiled, slipping the glasses off his nose, gently placing them on the table. “I’ll think about it but first I gotta slave away behind the bar to make more money,” Jaemin sighed, shrugging his jacket back on. “And you darling?” Johnny asked, putting on his confident smile again. “When will I see you again?” You just stared at him, at a loss for an answer. Did he really want to see you again? But before you could even open your mouth, Jaemin had already pulled your phone from your grasp, unlocked it and shoved it towards Johnny. “Put your number in already,” he sighed and rolled his eyes dramatically. Laughing, Johnny did as your friend had said. “Very smooth, Jaem.” “I- I guess I’ll text you,” you stuttered when Johnny gave your phone back, your fingers tingling where his touched yours. “I’ll be waiting, darling,” he winked, raking a hand through his inky strands. “Alright, time to leave, before you start drooling,” Jaemin destroyed the intense atmosphere and grabbed your arm to pull you back to the main room and out of the parlor, leaving a laughing Johnny behind in his room.
“I wasn’t even drooling, what the fuck Jaemin,” you argued when you were outside, your phone clutched to your chest. “Stop complaining, I got you his number, you should be thankful,” he just grinned, absolutely shameless, tugging you along through the little street. “I will not thank you for embarrassing me in front of him,” you pouted, unlocking your phone to confirm that Johnny had indeed put his number into the contacts with a little black heart behind his name.
“Is it too early to text him?” You asked when you and Jaemin sat in the subway on the way to his and Jeno’s dorm to take him up on his offer for food. Your friend just laughed at you, making an elderly man scowl at the two of you, who shook his head in disapproval. Well, Jaemin’s visuals didn’t help him when he acted like this in public. But as long as he didn’t care, you wouldn’t care either. “Text him after we’ve eaten,” he advised you. “Then you don’t seem as desperate as you are,” he added, which earned him a punch to his not tattooed arm.
All through dinner, Jaemin retold every embarrassing moment that happened at the tattoo parlor, making Jeno laugh so hard that he almost choked on his rice. You really needed to find new friends. These ones were just harassing you at this point. (Aside from the fact that Jaemin had indeed managed to get you Johnny’s number, you’d thank him later when he couldn’t make fun at you.)

Later that night, you laid in bed in your own dorm room, staring at the screen of your phone. Your fingers were hovering over the keyboard but you really couldn’t think of what you should text Johnny. You didn’t want to seem weird. With how confident he was, he probably did this a lot and you were too proud to make a fool of yourself. Groaning you tossed and turned in your bed for a while, still staring at the empty chat box that by now must be mocking you for your cowardice. Sighing you typed out another short message to immediately delete it again. Should you just send him a simple ‘Hi’ or ask him if he had eaten? How the rest of his day went? In moments like this you whished you were more confident in yourself.
The sound of an incoming message suddenly filled the room and made you jerk. When you saw Johnny’s name on the screen, your heart first stopped for a second before it started beating about three times as fast as it should. How did that happen? With shaking hands you unlocked the phone to see that you in fact didn’t delete the last message but accidentally send it. Luckily it wasn’t as embarrassing as it could have been and Johnny had just answered that he was glad that you had finally texted him. Before you could think of an answer he sent another text asking you why you were still awake this late when he expected you to be a ‘good girl’. You could practically hear his smirk and you couldn’t fight the heat that rose to your cheeks. You replied that you were already in bed and were about to sleep if he was concerned about your sleep pattern that honestly wasn’t the greatest ever since the semester had started. ‘Oh, sexting already’ he replied, making you shriek in embarrassment. Was this what your message had looked like? ‘You alone?’ He asked and with a furiously beating heart you answered with a simple yes.
A couple of seconds went by with no answer from him which definitely didn’t lower your anxiety before the loud sound of your ringtone tore through the silence, Johnny’s name on the display. You quickly answered it to not wake up anyone on your floor, pressing it tightly to your ear. “Hello?” “Good evening, miss,” you heard the rumble of Johnny’s voice, “Missed me already?” “You’re the one who called,” you argued, making the man on the other end of the line giggle. “That is true.” “Why did you call?” You asked curiously, shifting to lie down on your back, staring at the ceiling. “Just wanted some company. My last client just left and I’m cleaning up the shop for today, the others already left,” he explained. “Jaehyun and Taeyong?” “Yeah those two guys,” he sighed and you heard him rummaging in the background. “Is it just you three at the shop?” “Yeah, it was just me and Taeyong at first but Jaehyun is an incredibly quick learner once he had found someone who was willing to teach him a thing or two. So he quickly joined the two of us.” You just hummed, your fingers playing with your hair, unsure of what to say. It was somehow easier to talk to him like this when you couldn’t see his eyes twinkle in mischief or his lips curling up in that confident smirk. Like this he was just a boy who wanted company and not an insanely handsome, heavily tattooed man who flirted shamelessly. “Do you usually work this late?” You asked to fill the silence and out of curiosity as well. If the shop wasn’t legal there sure weren’t any laws regulating how long the artists were supposed to work. “I don’t,” Johnny laughed, “But thank you for your concern. I was just tattooing a friend for free after my last paying client left because he was in the area.” “You do that a lot? Offering up your services for free?” “Just for friends and special people, doll,” he chuckled, “Why? Are you considering getting inked after all?”
Well were you? You didn’t even know at this point. Whenever you had thought of tattoos you had only ever thought about big bold and very black lines, of skulls, names of exes on your skin forever and warped pictures of people’s faces. But never of delicate flowers, bright colors and intricate designs. Johnny had made it obvious that it was art that he was doing and that it wasn’t just some technical procedure to get color beneath your skin. “I- I don’t know,” you confessed, “I never thought much about tattoos until Jaemin started getting them.” “I thought so,” the artist chuckled, “But I bet I could design a pretty piece that would compliment you nicely.” “I don’t think I’m the type for it though,” you argued, thinking about the amount of ink on Johnny’s body and you hadn’t even seen half of it. (Not that you planned on doing so but you were curious to know if there was more hiding beneath his clothes.) “It doesn’t have to be an obvious one. Just something only you know about.” That really got you thinking. His tattoos were really delicate and you had seen that he could write in really pretty cursive. “I don’t want to pressure you into anything, darling. But if you ever want one, you know who to ask.”
“Yeah, thank you Johnny,” you murmured, lost in thought about how you would look like with multiple tattoos. “I like the way you say my name.” “You- what?” You stuttered when he caught you off guard like that, making him laugh. “You’re cute,” he said once he had calmed down. “Stop pouting,” he added when you weren’t answering. “How did you know I was?” Johnny chuckled again. “I just knew.” “Thank you for keeping me company,” he said when you hadn’t said anything in a while. “It’s alright. I like talking to you,” you confessed. You could hear a door closing and his deep chuckle on the other end of the line. “You probably hear that a lot…” you murmured, embarrassed at how the words had slipped past your lips. “I actually don’t,” Johnny said, “I appreciate the words, darling. I’m all done cleaning up now, thank you for keeping me company.” “It’s fine, no need to thank me.” “You should go sleep now, it’s already late. Sweet dreams, doll. Maybe I’ll even visit you.” “Goodnight, Johnny,” you squeaked. The last thing you heard before he ended the call was another chuckle and a hushed goodbye. Smiling widely you turned your face into your pillow to muffle the scream you let out. How could this man make your heart beat faster like that with just a few simple words? And why did this short phone call make you so happy? Sighing, you put your phone to your nightstand and cuddled tightly into your blanket, the thought of Johnny’s smooth voice guiding you to sleep where he indeed did visit you.
After that initial phone call, Johnny called you more and more often. Sometimes when he was on his lunch break and his colleagues were still working, sometimes later at night when your head was spinning from studying and he was cleaning up the shop. You two talked about your days, you complained about professors, deadlines and assignments and he told you about tattooing and his sometimes crazy clients. And every now and then Johnny would bring up his offer to tattoo you. Which made your thoughts spiral every single time. In class you would scroll through Johnny’s Instagram account, imagining what some of the intricate, more feminine designs would look like on your skin. After much consideration you definitely ruled out anything big or colorful. But something small wouldn’t hurt, right? Well it would, you would be giving him permission to stab you with an automated needle a bunch of times which in itself sounded really scary. But Jaemin’s tattoo looked nice. And after his skin had peeled, the hummingbird truly looked absolutely incredible and you couldn’t wait for him to visit the shop again to keep working on the sleeve.
So in a whim of bravery and with the help of the little glass of wine you had drank you told Johnny that he should tattoo you. “Are you for real?” He asked. “I am,” you giggled, “I’ve thought about it a lot the past weeks.” “I am honored, darling. What will it be?” “Something small and no colors please,” you told him. “That’s all you’re asking for?” “Yeah, I… I like the simple black stuff you do,” you stuttered, suddenly really nervous and unsure if this was actually a good idea. “I’ll design something that’ll match you perfectly,” Johnny promised, sounding very eager. You could hear some rummaging on his end of the line. “I could fit you in Friday evening after my last client. It won’t be too late and I need some time to come up with a design that’s worthy of being in your body.” You swallowed dryly. If you said yes, you couldn’t back out anymore. You would be getting inked. Secretly. Without telling anyone. Not to mention illegally. In a reasonably shady shop that was owned by the most gorgeous man you had ever met. Taking a deep breath, you nodded before you realized that he couldn’t see that. “I’ll be there,” you promised. “I’m looking forward to it, doll,” Johnny said before he wished you sweet dreams just like every time when he called you late at night.

The neon light in front of the door to the shop was already shut off when you arrived the next Friday late in the evening but the door gave away when you pushed it open with trembling hands after taking a deep breath. “I thought you weren’t going to come, darling, you left me waiting,” Johnny greeted you, jumping down from the counter he had sat on. He was wearing a simple black t-shirt with a little white rose design over his heart that fit him perfectly. His hair was elegantly swept back, exposing the freshly shaved part on the side. “I’m sorry,” you mumbled, fumbling with the sleeves of your hoodie. “Don’t be nervous, I’ll take good care of you,” he promised, quickly locking the front door before taking you to his room where he motioned for you to sit on the bench. “Do you trust me?” He asked, tipping your head up so you would look into his dark eyes. “I- I think I do,” you stuttered. “I won’t tell you what you’re getting,” Johnny grinned and your eyes widened in shock. “You will like it and it’s not that big.” “I’m not sure, Johnny,” you voiced your concerns but he just pressed his index finger to your lips before you could say any more. Your breath hitched and he could definitely feel your shaky exhale against his finger. “You said you trust me, doll.” Taking another shaky breath, you nodded and a smile spread over his plush lips. “I need you to take off your shirt and lie down on your left side,” he spoke, his voice casual but you could feel something shift in the air between you. At a loss for words you just nodded again and did as Johnny asked when he turned around to gather his stuff.
“Take a couple of deep breaths for me, darling,” he instructed you when he rolled over on his little stool, his glasses sitting low on his nose and his hands already gloved. “It’s going on your ribs,” he told you so you wouldn’t flinch when he quickly dragged a razor over the area before disinfecting it. “I’ll draw a quick sketch first. I don’t want to mess it up when it’s going on your beautiful skin.”  You felt the tip of his pen meet your skin in a gentle stroke, tickling your skin so you had to giggle. “Don’t make me mess this up, baby,” Johnny scolded, playfully slapping your back. “It tickles,” you pouted. “I’m trying to be gentle with you,” he said and you could hear the smile in his voice. While he was sketching, you closed your eyes, trying to figure out what he was drawing. But all you could figure out was that it was something rather small which calmed your nerves a bit.
“All done,” the tattoo artist announced after a while and quickly pulled his little side table with his tattoo gun and ink closer. When the low buzzing noise filled the air, you pressed your eyes shut even tighter, balling your hands into fists. Technically you knew it wouldn’t hurt badly, Johnny had shown you before. But you were still getting stabbed a bunch of times and fuck, you were really doing this. Letting this man put something on your body that was going to be there forever and you didn’t even know what it was going to be. “Relax, darling. I’ll be as gentle as I can be,” he promised, running a hand up and down your back. “It’s going to be on me forever,” you said. “It is. Your own personal piece of art on your body. Just for you to have.” That was a beautiful way to see it, you thought. It’s not just some pigment stabbed into your skin but art. Something unique no one else had. And Johnny would be painting it on just you for you and you alone. “Okay, let’s do this,” you breathed. “That’s my good girl,” Johnny praised and the words made your stomach twist with a feeling you didn’t want to further explore.
The pain was bearable. It was weird at first and the ribs sure hurt more than it had on your arm and the bones somehow seemed to amplify the buzzing, making it travel through your body. You had to grit your teeth when Johnny went over what seemed to be the middle part of the tattoo, where he grazed the skin in quick successions. “That hurts.” “I know, baby. But you’re almost done. You’re doing so well for me,” he soothed and gave you a small break to breathe before he went back in.
“All done, darling,” Johnny announced a little later, turning off his machine and rubbing the tattoo down with a wet paper towel. “Can I see it now?” You asked. “In a bit, keep your eyes closed,” he spoke softly and took your hands in his now ungloved ones to first guide you into a sitting position and then off the bench and over to what you assumed to be the mirror. He turned you so your side was facing the glass and put one of his big hands on your waist. It felt hot on your exposed skin and made goosebumps break out on your skin. “Open your eyes, doll.” You did and looked directly into his dark chocolate brown eyes behind his glasses. “I’m too scared to look now, is that silly?” You asked, losing yourself in his eyes and leaning towards his body that just seemed to radiate heat. “It’s beautiful, just like you,” he assured you, squeezing your waist reassuringly. After taking a deep breath, you tore your gaze away from him and turned to look at yourself in the mirror where a delicate, black chrysanthemum was awaiting you on the skin over your ribs. It indeed looked beautiful, absolutely stunning. It was small but looked so delicate and realistic and fit well with the curves of your body. “It’s stunning,” you whispered.
“Thank you, Johnny.” “No need to thank me, darling,” he chuckled and when your eyes met again, his were dark and almost hungry. “But I think I should reward you for being so good while I tattooed you.” Before you could ask what kind of reward he was talking about, he had already connected your lips in a passionate kiss and pulled your body flush against his. You couldn’t help but sigh now that you finally knew what the metal of his lip piercing felt like against your lips. Johnny was a good kisser and you were boneless in his strong grip not long after he had slipped his tongue past your lips after you had moaned into the kiss when he had started to push you backwards to the bench again, hoisting you back up. “Let me make up for the pain I’ve caused you,” he breathed against your swollen lips when you broke apart to breathe.   “Just keep kissing me like that,” you demanded, burying your hands in his soft black locks to kiss him again. He chuckled and let you dominate the kiss for a while, toying with the black ring in his lip and exploring his mouth. Meanwhile Johnny’s hands started to wander from their place on your waist down to grope at your ass, pulling you forward against him, so you could feel his growing erection between your legs which made a spark of arousal shoot through you.
“Let me make you feel good, baby,” he breathed heavily while kissing down your neck, gently taking the skin between his teeth. “Please Johnny,” you begged, feeling the arousal simmer low in your stomach. Grinning he pulled back and raked his dark eyes over your figure before making quick work of your belt and sliding your jeans along with your panties from your legs, only shortly struggling with your shoes. “It’s not Johnny now, baby,” he rasped when he kneeled down in front of you, pulling you towards him roughly, so your glistening core was exposed to him. “It’s Daddy,” he added before licking a broad stripe through your folds and flicking his tongue at your clit. You could just mewl and throw your head back in pleasure. You didn’t know that this would be such a turn on for you. “Say it, baby,” Johnny demanded, lazily dragging his tongue over your sensitive bundle of nerves. “Please Daddy,” you whimpered and you could feel his low groan vibrating against your core. He wasted no time to attach his plush lips to your clit, gently sucking and grazing his teeth over the little nub, making you mewl and shiver in pleasure. He definitely knew what he was doing, altering between stimulating your clit to the point where it almost became too much before he focused on dragging his tongue through your folds, gently prodding against your entrance before it gave away. When Johnny moaned you could feel it travel straight through you, making your head swim with pleasure. Looking down to the man kneeling in front of you, you were met with his dark eyes, staring straight up into yours. Moaning, you threaded your fingers into his soft hair and pressed his face closer to your core, not even taking the chance that he could move back. “Feels so good, Daddy,” you moaned when he spread your labia with his fingers so his tongue could dive deeper into you, stimulating your velvety walls. When he hummed it send sweet vibrations through your core and you could feel your orgasm approach almost embarrassingly fast. “Mmmh, so close Daddy.” “You wanna cum, baby?” He rasped, his hot breath fanning over your clit that he was lazily rubbing with two fingers. You bit your lip and met his dark eyes, nodding furiously. “Then beg for it, doll. I could stay here for hours,” Johnny spoke before he turned his head to mouth at your thigh, gently biting and sucking at the sensitive skin until it bruised under his ministrations. “I would just keep you right on the edge for hours until you’re a shaking mess for me, begging for release.” His lips split into a wicked grin when he saw how his dirty words affected you and he slowed his fingers on your clit until it was just enough to keep you stimulated but not enough to make the knot in your stomach snap. “Please Daddy,” you whimpered. “Please what baby?” He rested his head on your thigh, looking up at you from innocent eyes as if he wasn’t driving you insane with just his fingers. “What is it beautiful?” He repeated the question, replacing his fingers with his tongue. “You wanna cum?” “Yes please,” you whined, grinding your hips against his tongue to get more friction. “Well if you ask so nicely…” Johnny immediately slipped two fingers inside you with almost no resistance from how ridiculously wet you were and began pumping them in and out of your core fast, crooking them to search for your sweet spot. “Come on baby,” he growled, locking eyes with you again when he closed his lips around your clit. Almost screaming his name, you came hard when his fingers finally found your sweet spot, rubbing at it mercilessly to help you ride out your orgasm. Your thighs were shaking and you fell back onto the bench, the leather sticking to your back where you just laid for a while, your head spinning, breathing heavily.
“You look gorgeous like that,” Johnny complimented you, when he got back up from the floor, raking his clean hand through the mess that was his hair before he shamelessly took his fingers that were covered in your essence into his mouth, sucking them clean. Through half lidded eyes you could see the way he was still straining against the fabric of his jeans and the sight made your mouth water. “You’re still hard,” you said breathless.   “I am,” he said matter of factly. You wordlessly let your thighs fall open for him, exposing your core to him. “Oh baby,” Johnny cursed, pressing the heel of his palm against his bulge, “As much as I want to fuck you right now, you still have a fresh tattoo, doll.” “Please, Johnny, I want it,” you begged. “Shh, baby,” he soothed you rubbing a hand over your thigh, “Let me dress that tattoo and then I’ll take you upstairs to fuck you on an actual bed like you deserve.” You nodded, amazed by his amount of self-control.
Johnny worked quickly and efficiently: Cleaning your tattoo one last time before putting some ointment on it to keep it moisturized. At last he gently taped down a small sheet of plastic foil to keep it safe. “All done, beautiful,” he spoke before pecking your lips, “You still want to come upstairs with me?” “Yes Daddy,” you answered and you swore you could see his eyes darken just from the word alone. “Hold on tightly,” he ordered before scooping you up into his arms, holding you up by your thighs. Squealing you quickly wrapped your arms and legs around him, holding on tightly. “I’ll get your clothes before we open up tomorrow,” he mumbled when he carried you through the back door of the shop that lead to a dusty staircase. You pressed your body closer to his, nuzzling your face into his neck where the smell of his cologne was the strongest, to have some of his warmth seep into your skin when you started to shiver from the cold air. Lazily you let your lips travel over his skin, sucking a mark next to a splash of ink.
Johnny quickly grabbed the keys to his apartment’s door from atop of the doorframe (not really safe) and unlocked his door while holding you up with just one of his arms, the display of strength making your head spin. With quick steps he crossed the way to his bed and gently laid you down on the soft sheets, immediately crawling on top of you, crowding you against the mattress. “I knew you would look good in my bed,” he rasped, kissing your neck while his hands made quick work of the bra that you were still wearing for some reason. “You’re gorgeous, doll,” he breathed after he had sat up on his knees, looking down at you with dark eyes, his big hands roaming your body. Feeling shy under all the attention and compliments he was giving you, you tried to hide your face behind your fingers but he wasn’t having any of it, quickly grabbing your wrists in one hand to pin them above your head. “Don’t hide from me baby. Daddy wants to see how much you’re enjoying yourself.” You could just nod, trying to force down the whimper that almost spilled past your lips, he hadn’t even done much yet and you were already feeling arousal pulse through your veins. “I couldn’t hear your answer,” Johnny teased, gently grabbing one of your boobs to massage the soft flesh. “Yes, Daddy.” “That’s my good girl,” he grinned, releasing your wrists to slip his T-Shirt over his head, revealing his strong chest where the eagle majestically spread its wings and the hard lines of his abs. “Like what you see?” He asked smugly, climbing off the bed to unbuckle his belt and slip his jeans off his narrow hips, revealing strong, muscled thighs. One of them was covered with the face of a growling panther while the other was decorated with a colorful koifish tattoo that disappeared beneath the fabric of his dark boxers that were doing very little to hide a prominent bulge. “Let me,” you breathed and crawled over to hook your thumbs into the waistband. But before you pulled them down, you pressed a couple of kisses to the cherry blossom branch tattoo that seemed to stretch from his back over his hipbone and further down, mingling with the koi tattoo further down. With every centimeter of skin you exposed, more ink from the blossoms became visible and you kissed every single one of the delicate flowers. When his length finally sprang free, you had to swallow dryly: His cock was huge and hung heavy between his legs. Licking your lips you looked up to him, to find him grinning down at you. “Go to town, baby.”
He didn’t need to tell you twice, you were itching to feel his heavy weight on your tongue. You pressed a sweet kiss to his tip before placing a hand at the base only to find him surprisingly soft as you experimentally pumped your hand once. “It takes a while for it to get fully hard,” he groaned when you moved your hand up and down his shaft a couple of times, feeling it pulse beneath your fingers. Damn if he wasn’t even fully hard, how big would he be if he was? Holding him at the base, you licked a broad stripe up the whole length before you swiped your tongue around the pink head, pulling another groan from Johnny’s lips. Taking a deep breath, you finally took him in your mouth and hollowed your cheeks, tasting his skin. The weight on your tongue felt just right and you couldn’t help but moan as you slowly started to take more and more of him until you felt him hit the back of your throat. Shit, you were barely able to fit half of his length in your mouth like this. “You’re so big,” you moaned when you pulled off of him with a wet pop, spreading your saliva down the shaft with both of your hands. Johnny just hummed and grabbed a handful of your hair to shove your mouth back onto his dick. He cursed when the velvety heat surrounded him again and gently began to thrust in and out your mouth. “Fuck you look so good with my cock in your mouth,” he breathed heavily. You could only moan where your lips were stretched around his length and hollow your cheeks when he pulled out, the grip he had on your hair keeping you in place while he snapped his hips. “Shit baby,” Johnny cursed when he pulled out, panting while he rested the head of his cock on your outstretched tongue. “I could cum like this.” You whined pathetically, looking up at him with pleading eyes. He chuckled and gently slapped his cock against your lips, smearing them with precum. “But you don’t want that, don’t you, baby? You want my cock inside you? Stretching you out?” “Yes Daddy, please. I need it so bad,” you blabbered, not even knowing where those words were coming from but you seemed to have said the right thing with how Johnny’s dick twitched in his hand.
“Then get on your hands and knees for me, baby. Ass up.” It was almost comically how fast you complied, baring yourself to him. “Such a good girl,” he praised, grabbing your asscheeks to knead and pull them apart. “Beautiful.” “Please Daddy,” you begged him, arching your back further. “Patience baby,” he chuckled. A frustrated groan got stuck in your throat and turned into a drawn out whine when he pushed two of his fingers inside you, pumping them quickly and curling them to find your sweet spot again. Soon two fingers became three and he had reduced you to a moaning mess with how he abused your sweet spot once he had found it again. “You think you’re ready for my cock, baby?” “Yes. Oh god, yes please,” you begged while shamelessly grinding back on his fingers that he had stilled inside of you. “Spread your cheeks for me,” he ordered while quickly grabbing a condom from his bedside table and rolling it onto his cock. Balancing your weight on your knees and shoulders, you reached around yourself to pull your asscheeks apart so Johnny could see your core clenching around nothing. “You’re such a good girl for me,” he rasped, running his palm along the curve of your body while lazily thrusting his cock through your folds, making it glisten with your essence. Finally you could feel him nudging at your entrance with the thick head of his cock. “You want it, baby?” “Yes please Daddy,” you gasped, trying hard to be good and not grind back against him. “You’re such a good girl for me,” he chuckled, “And good girls get what they want if they ask so politely.” With that he finally sank into you in one agonizingly slow thrust until you could feel his hip bones press against your skin. You had to screw your eyes shut and bite your lip to suppress a whimper. You had never felt so full before.
“Fuck baby, you’re so tight,” Johnny groaned, grabbing you by the dip of your waist with his big hands, grinding you on his cock. “I’m so full, Daddy,” you gasped when he slowly pulled out until only the head of his cock was inside you before he languidly thrust back in. “Yeah? You like that? Being stuffed full of my cock?” You could only moan and nod where your head was pressed into the sheets. His cock was so big that it seemed to press against every good spot that was inside you, setting your nerve endings on fire, the pain from being stretched like that only adding to your pleasure. “You‘re sucking me right back in baby,” he cursed and gripped your waist harder, pulling you back on his cock as he picked up the pace, low groans falling from his lips. Your moans got progressively louder and louder the faster Johnny snapped his hips. “Hands behind your back, baby,” he ordered panting and immediately grabbed both your wrists in his hands to use them as leverage so he could fuck into you faster, the change of angle and pace making you moan his name. Your head was swimming with pleasure and you could only moan and mewl beneath him, imagining how he would bite his lip while watching his dick disappear inside you over and over again, stretching out the delicate skin of your sex. “God baby, your ass looks amazing,” Johnny groaned, praise after praise falling from his lips that reduced you to a moaning mess.
With one particularly hard thrust he buried himself to the hilt inside you and draped his body over yours, his hot breath fanning over your face when he spoke, a deep rumble in his chest while grinding his dick right against your sweet spot that had you seeing colors behind your closed eyes. “Wanna see you bounce on my dick, doll. Can you do that for me?” Taking a deep breath, you nodded. Your ability to form coherent sentences had left you as soon as he had begun to fuck you in earnest. “You’re such a good girl,” he purred and gently pulled out, making you whimper from the loss. You felt the bed dip next to you and when you opened your eyes, you were met with Johnny’s pleased smirk as he leaned against the headboard of the bed, his cock resting against his hip, too heavy to properly stand up and you couldn’t stop another whimper. “Come on baby, I know you want it,” he grinned, crooking a finger in a ‘come closer’ motion. Dragging your limbs from beneath you with great effort, you climbed onto his lap, immediately claiming his lips in a messy kiss. You buried your hands in his stupidly perfect hair to mess it up and tug at the inky strands, causing Johnny to moan into the kiss. “Hmm, my baby is feisty,” he chuckled when he broke the kiss, the pupils of his dark eyes blown so wide that they seemed almost black. “But you promised me to ride my dick,” he reminded you. “And I’m gonna,” you slurred, reaching between your bodies to grab his cock, giving it a couple of strokes. “But turn around for me baby. Wanna see how much my fat cock is going to stretch you out,” he rasped, playfully biting your lips. “But I want to see you too,” you complained. “Oh you can,” he grinned and pointed over your shoulder. You reluctantly turned around before you saw what he meant. Right across from the bed was a big mirror and you gasped because of how fucked out you already looked. A couple of tears had rolled down your cheeks and messed up your makeup and your lipstick was smeared around your lips.
You carefully grabbed Johnny’s cock again and held it steady so you could sink down on him, watching yourself in the mirror until you sat snug on his lap and had to close your eyes because the feeling was so overwhelming. He felt even bigger like that. “You okay, baby?” He asked, grabbing your hips tightly to help you swivel them on his cock, making it press into your walls just how you liked it. “How does your cock feel even bigger like this?” You gasped as you leaned forward and slowly started to ride him at first to get used to his size and figure out the best angle for you. Your legs shook with the effort to keep your rhythm but the look Johnny had on his face, his eyes glued to where you two were connected, made it worth it. Suddenly a wicked grin spread on his lips and he snapped his hips up when you lowered yourself again, tearing loud moans from both of you. “Fuck, do that again,” you demanded when you raised your hips again. “What’s the magic word?” Johnny teased, holding you up so you wouldn’t drop down again. “Please, Daddy.” Groaning he started to snap his hips up every time you ground down on him, making your skin slap together with an obscene noise.
God you wanted to die on his dick. “Do you now?” Johnny laughed. Shit did you say that out loud? “Want to feel how deep it goes inside you?” He rasped, wrapping his strong arms around your waist. You went lax in his hold and mewled helplessly. Who knew that a little display of strength and a big dick were such turn ons for you that your brain was reduced to mush. Grinning he carefully pulled you up and against his chest and draped your legs over his after he had planted his feet firmly onto the mattress. “Watch, baby,” he ordered as he lifted you off of him until only the tip was barely inside you anymore before letting you drop down again. You mewled and thrashed in his hold, the feeling just on the edge of too much. Feeling him deep inside you was one thing but actually seeing it was a whole other thing and it messed with your head. Curiously you pressed your hand down on your lower stomach when Johnny had started to piston his hips up into you instead of dropping you down onto his cock every time and you swore you could feel him move inside you. A drawn out curse left your lips and you threw your head back onto his shoulder.
With the way he was snapping his hips up you could feel your orgasm approach at lightning speed and you were so far gone that you shamelessly reached between your legs to stimulate your clit. “Fuck baby, you’re so hot like this,” Johnny groaned, grinding his dick inside you as you quickly rubbed your clit, toeing right on the edge. “Please Daddy,” you cried out, not sure what you were even begging for. “You gonna cum on my cock?” He rasped, snapping his hips harshly, “Wrapped around my big cock stretching you out like this?” You nodded your head furiously, your eyes screwed shut. You were so close that you could already feel your toes curling. “Show me baby. Show Daddy how good his cock makes you feel.” That’s what pushed you over the edge, the way he was panting in your ear, his voice strained from how he was drilling into you. The coil in your stomach snapped and you almost screamed his name, your body curling inwards and thighs shivering as your orgasm washed over you, making a bunch of colors explode behind your lids. In the back of your mind you registered Johnny’s curses and how he was grinding his cock inside you to help you ride out your orgasm. “Such a good girl,” he praised when your body went lax on top of him, your chest heaving with heavy breaths. You briefly wondered if you had ever cum this hard and you couldn’t think of any other time. “Thank you Daddy,” you panted, turning your face to press a messy kiss to his plush lips that were bitten raw. He chuckled lowly when you whimpered when his still hard cock shifted when you tried to turn around.
“Will you let me fuck you for a little longer, baby?” He asked, running a hand through your sweaty hair. Instead of answering him, you lifted yourself off his dick to turn around on his lap, capturing his lips again. “Want you to ruin me,” you whispered between kisses, “Want you to ruin me for any other men. Want to only remember how you feel inside of me.” Johnny growled deep in his chest before he pushed you down onto the bed, hungrily licking into your mouth. “You’re the one who is ruining me,” he panted, rising to his knees. He quickly grabbed your legs and threw them over his shoulders before he sank into you again with a low groan. This time he didn’t waste any time with building up the pace and immediately snapped his hips harshly, chasing his own orgasm. “You’re taking me so well, baby,” he panted, folding your thighs to your chest so he could push into you even deeper, making you see stars with how he was nailing your sweet spot with the new angle. And even though you had just cum, you felt another orgasm build inside your stomach. A row of curses left Johnny’s lips when he could watch his dick slide in and out of you again and he gripped your thighs so hard you were sure you’d have bruises there tomorrow. But that was something you’d worry about later, right now your world was only made up of the handsome man with his huge cock that was currently rearranging your guts with how vigorously he was snapping his hips, making your skin slap together with lewd sounds.
“I’m gonna cum baby,” Johnny grunted, his hips losing their rhythm. “On me,” you managed to choke out, still lost in your own pleasure. Another groan left his bitten lips before he quickly pulled out and ripped the condom off, jerking his cock with quick strokes, his eyes fixed to yours. All it took was a couple of jerks before he threw his head back and you could see his abdominal muscles contract before the first burst of white hot cum spurted from his dick and covered your chest and stomach. With parted lips he stroked himself through his orgasm, milking rope after rope from his cock until he hissed with overstimulation. “Fuck,” he cursed before giggling when he saw the mess he had made of you, his cum dripping from your boobs and running down your stomach. He cursed again before claiming your lips. “You want to cum one last time, baby?” “Please Daddy,” you whined, spreading your legs further for him. “My good girl,” he sighed, sinking two fingers into your heat, quickly crooking them to stimulate your sweet spot while his thumb was putting sweet pressure on your clit, making you thrash beneath him. “You look so good covered in my cum,” he rasped before he kissed you harshly to swallow your moans and cries of pleasure. You desperately held on to his shoulders, breaking the kiss when your head was spinning from the lack of oxygen. While speeding up his fingers, Johnny began sucking bruises low on your neck and over the soft skin of your cleavage. “Shit, I’m gonna-“ you didn’t get to finish your sentence because right that moment he had sucked one of your nipples into his mouth which was just enough to send you over the edge for a third time that night, your lips parted in a silent scream of his name and your thighs shaking and closing around the handsome man kneeling between them. “That’s my good girl,” he praised breathily and gently rocked his fingers to help you ride out your orgasm before he pulled them out, instead winding his strong arms around your body, holding you to his inked chest.
For a while he just held you close, not caring that his cum was now also stuck to his chest. “Fuck that was a lot,” you chuckled, burying your face in the crook of his neck, inhaling his calming scent. “Not what you thought would happen when you get a free tattoo?” Johnny softly spoke, carding his hand through your messy hair. “Not at all.” Another question was burning inside your head but you were too scared to ask it. You didn’t want to push him and ruin the mood. “I should clean you up and see if that tattoo is still okay. Then we can cuddle, alright?” The tattoo artist said before he detangled your bodies from one another to get up from the bed. He looked around on the floor for a cloth and you could finally see where the cherry blossoms on his hip were coming from. A big samurai was stretched over half his back, surrounded by the pinkish blossoms. It seemed like it wasn’t a complete piece yet, the samurai staring at the still untouched skin of Johnny’s left shoulderblade. “Your back tattoo is really pretty,” you mumbled to fill the silence while Johnny was wiping his chest clean before he gently did the same to you, taking extra caution when looking at your still fresh tattoo. “Thank you,” he smiled, pressing a kiss to your forehead, the metal of his piercing feeling warm on your skin, “We should change that foil real quick.” You just nodded and let him do his work, exhaustion settling into your bones.
“Do you do this with all your clients?” Shit. You hadn’t meant to ask that, the question had just slipped your lips and you could feel Johnny freeze where he was dressing your tattoo again before he secured the last piece of tape. He sighed and slipped beneath the covers, pulling you against his chest, so you could listen to his heartbeat. “Not all of them,” he answered eventually, “I haven’t slept with a client in a while. It happens sometimes but usually I don’t think much about it.” “And now you do?” He just hummed nonchalantly, playing with your hair. “They usually don’t come back after I fuck them.” He paused, holding his breath. “Will you come back?” Your heart started to race and you could feel a bright smile spreading over your lips. “For more free tattoos and piercings?” “Oh, yeah, I guess,” he sounded so deflated, the confident tattoo artist suddenly gone. “You idiot,” you giggled, pillowing your head on his sternum so he could see the smile on your lips, “I like you Johnny. I’ll come back if you want me to.” Now he was also smiling, his features softening. “Don’t make jokes like that, my heart is fragile,” he joked, wrapping you up in his strong arms.
“Which one was your first one?” You asked him when the silence between you stretched while you traced the scales of the dragon that wound around his arm. “My first tattoo?” Johnny shifted around for a while before he showed you his other arm that had all kinds of different designs on it, some in bright colors, some strictly black. “That little guy over here,” he said with a smile on his lips and pointed to a little sunflower at the bend of his elbow, “To remind me to always look at the sun, at the bright side of life.” “It’s cute,” you breathed, touching the yellow petals. “And then it went downhill from there,” he chuckled, “It’s addicting.” “Let’s hope I can stay abstinent.” “What a shame, I’d love to cover you in my art,” Johnny confessed, tilting your face up so he could claim your lips in a kiss. “Maybe one or two more,” you breathed in between kisses, making him chuckle against your lips.

ft. itadori yuuji, fushiguro megumi, kugisaki nobara, zenin maki, inumaki toge, nanami kento, and gojou satoru
g/n!reader (except maybe for maki but that's more personal pref)
itadori yuuji - "hey!-", you were essentially muted as itadori plops a strawberry in your mouth. you bite down, wrinkling your nose up at him in fake upset. he just smiles and laugh, as you drop the pout and laugh with him. you two were on a picnic, drinking lemonade and watching the hours melt away into the sunny sky. currently, you two were demolishing a carton of strawberries, the green tops abandoned on a plate next to you. you swallowed, relishing the sweetness lingering on your tongue.
taking one last berry, itadori reclined and sprawled on the blanket while putting his hands behind his head. you laid down on the blanket next to him, placing your head on his chest. he glanced down at you and took one of your hands in his, his thumb starting to trace gentle circles on your palm. with your free hand, you pointed up to the clouds in the sky. "that one looks like a bus," you suggested. "mmm, i think it looks like a log," he responds. "that one looks like a cat." "i think it looks like a log." "ok, that one looks like a tree." "mmmmmmm i think it looks like a log," he says again. "yuuji, you think all of them look like logs," you say. you can feel his laugh bubbling in his chest as he says, "because all of them do look like logs." he points up at the sky at different clouds, "that one does....and that one does....i think these are actually all logs in disguise." you playfully swat his hand and turn your head up at him, saying, "you need to use your imagination a bit. if you're only looking for logs, all you're going to find is logs."
instead of responding, itadori shifts forward and captures your mouth in soft kiss. you respond, pushing your lips against his in a sweet dance. his tongue finds its way into your mouth, deepening the kiss. his hand has slipped out of yours and now is on the small of your back, pushing you closer into him. he smiles into the kiss, pausing. "what?" you ask, temporarily affixing your head above his. "nothing," he responds, "i just hope we can stay like this for a little while longer."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fushiguro megumi - he's is nursing a cup of black tea in a porcelain cup and saucer, while he chews on a black ballpoint pen. fushiguro is in a cafe across the street, but you can see him through the window. as you walk in, the bell above the door jingles and he glances up at you. he smiles and clears a pile of papers, making room for you at the table. you sit down across from him, noticing that he's already ordered a cup of tea and a croissant for you.
"hey 'gumi. what'cha up to?" you ask, lifting the cup to your lips. "working on this latest batch, but it's tough. did you bring your stuff?" he asks. you pull out a small notebook, untying the ribbon that holds the pages shut. "of course i did, i want your feedback on my latest poems," you respond. "this is the most recent one i wrote." in the garden of my mind/you sink my heart into my soul/blooming into something unknown/glassy eyes speaking of that garden untold is what you hand to him. he furrows his brow as he reads over the lines, once, twice, three....ohmygod how many times is he going to read it? is it bad??? you catch your lip between your teeth as you wait for his critiques, anxiously tapping your fingers against the table. finally, he looks up to you. "i like the use of garden as a metaphor, but i think you could expand on it more. it's a short poem so i know you don't have much room, but i'm really fixed on this idea of a garden. what grows there? who takes care of it?" he questions. his brows is still furrowed and you can practically see the wheels turning behind his poofy hair.
you smile over at him saying, "well, megumi i think you already know the answer to your questions." he blushes and looks out the window. the wheels are turning in his head again, but for a different reason. you know fushiguro isn't exactly the greatest with his feelings, so you give him a minute. he still gets flustered when you even allude to loving him, it's so removed from his own view of himself that he needs to take a minute to process. in the meantime, you rip off a fluffy piece of croissant and feel the buttery layers melt on your tongue. you look out the window, quietly drifting off to another world. "did you want to read my poem?" he asks, snapping you back to reality. you nod, picking up the piece of paper he passes you. your eyes focus on the first line: i love you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
kugisaki nobara - you love nobara, you honestly do, but sometimes you forget about that when she gets in a yelling match with the man at the ice cream truck. you're pulling your hat over your head, hoping to spontaneously melt into a puddle while the two of them go back and forth. "i don't know what you want me to say! i'm sorry i gave the wrong flavor to them, but i can't change it," the vendor says exasperatedly. nobara wrinkles up her nose in disgust at the vendor, retorting, "this business is absolutely shameful. i come all the way here for ice cream, and you can't even properly fulfill my order. what if i reported you to the better business bureau? hmmm? would you be a bit more cooperative then?"
yeah, it's been going on like this for a few minutes. you think you're going to evaporate into thin air when you realize the arguing has stopped and nobara is on her way back. and...omg...she's holding a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone!! you immediately perk up. "you got it!" you exclaim, quickly taking the cone from her. you take a bite (do you bite ice cream???? lick??? v unsure), and faux-swoon at how good it is. forgetting your previous embarrassment, you swiftly press a kiss to nobara's lips as a thank-you. "thank you nobara, this was so sweet of you!" her face deeply reddens, every ounce of toughness from the earlier altercation dissipated. she tosses her hair, trying to play it off. "oh, you know, it wasn't difficult. you just had to ask nicely." you smile at her, suddenly wanting to pay her back for the embarrassment she dealt you before.
before she can react, you quickly leave a flurry of kisses all over her face. you zing from her cheeks to her nose to her lips to her forehead and back around so fast it makes her dizzy. if you thought she was red before, she's somehow gone an even deeper shade of brick. now she's the one pulling her hat down over her head. "y/n!! cut it out, we're in public!" she hisses at you, but there's no real venom behind it. "sorry, i couldn't help it. you just looked too pretty to resist," you say, and start walking toward the city. even through the brim of her hat, nobara can see you walking away. before catching up, she's rooted in place wondering how on earth she got so lucky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
zenin maki - "y/n, i look stupid. can i take this off?" you smile at her, only your head sticking out from your door. "nope!!," you gleefully respond. maki stands outside your room with an annoyed look and crossed arms, wearing the maid outfit you dropped off at her house this morning. you quickly close the door and speedily drag your socks up your thighs and tuck the matching headband into your hair. admiring yourself in the mirror one last time, you opened the door and shyly step out in your own maid outfit. "how do i look?," you say, tucking a lock of hair behind your ear.
maki.pdf has crashed. her eyes flick up and down your body, a slight blush forming on her pearlescent cheeks. you note her silence and flounce over to her. tucking your hands behind your back and rocking on your heels, you lean forward. "maaaaaaaaki," you languish in her name, dragging out the syllables. "cat got your tongue?" she snaps back to the real world, a coy smile on her lips. she moves swiftly, and before you know it she's pressed up against you with a hand on your lower back and the other hand tilting your chin up at her. "of course not, darling, but i wouldn't mind getting yours," she says, gently stroking her thumb over your lips. you momentarily flush, a pretty pink haze spreading over your face. you wiggle out of her hold and kiss the tip of her nose, before dashing down the hallway.
confused, maki watches as you return with...a broom. "c'mon! maids clean, don't they?" you say as you hand her the broom. maki bemusedly watches as you pull out a rag and a can of pledge. "y/n. you called me here, with a maid outfit, so we could clean your house?" she ask. "yep!". oh my. maki watches as you spray chemicals over the table, then polish it clean with the rag. fuck it, she starts sweeping your hallway. "am i even going to get anything out of this?", whining, she stops sweeping. you pause and smile. "of course maki. after all, i have to pay you for your services." maki smirks at you, resting her hands and head on top of the broom. "oh? and what would that be?" she says, raising her eyebrows. "anything you want." maki's smirk deepens, and she goes back to sweeping. "and if i want you?" you too go back to your cleaning. "well, in that case, i suppose you have to do a really good job of cleaning."
your house has never looked cleaner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
inumaki toge - you dip your paintbrush into the water, swirling it around and making sure it was clean before dipping it into bubblegum-colored paint. inumaki sits on the other side of you, though part of him is obscured by his easel. you would have asked him to move a few hours ago, but luckily you were almost done painting him. the sun was starting to set, so the colors of the setting were changing a bit but you were sure inumaki wouldn't care too much if you took some artistic liberties. you added the pink streaks in the clouds, trying to fluff them up as much as possible and make them look sweet. you frowned as you went a bit too far, having to clean your paintbrush and then touch up the painting with white.
finally, a few more mistakes and fixes later, you think you're satisfied with your work. it was a portrait of inumaki, sitting on his artist's stool with the blue sky and green hill in the background. a few hours ago it would have been an almost perfect rendering of the scene, save for the fact that you decided to paint him without his trademark collar over his face. you happened to love the seal on his face and tongue, but his covering of it made him more insecure about it as time went on. as he got used to seeing his face without it, he wondered if it would just be better if he didn't have a seal on his face at all. now he barely pulls down his collar, only ever to shout out cursed speech commands. "toge can we see each others' paintings now?" you ask. "okaka!" he responds. you sigh and say, "okay, let me know when you're done." you continue to add a few more cursory details until you hear "takana!" from the other easel. you poke your head around, asking, "do you want me to go first?" inumaki nods, and gets up.
you hold your breath as he walks over to survey your work. you feel him stop behind you and just...stare. no tsunamayo, no sujiko, not even an okaka. "what do you think?" you ask. he says nothing, and just points to his painted mouth. you look at him and feel a little bit crushed; he doesn't look angry or anything, but rather a little deflated. "are you upset i painted the curse seal?" you ask him. he responds with a slightly desolate "okaka" and your chest clutches a little bit. you wanted to show him how pretty he was with the seal, but you supposed you would have to go a bit further. "toge can you come a little closer?" he complies and moves right next to you. you quickly jump off the stool and clasp his face in your hands. slowly, you pull down his collar, revealing the seal. you hold his gaze for a moment longer, and then gently press kisses along the surface of the curse. you make sure to touch every angle, feeling the heat of his skin rise each new time your lips touch the curse. you pull your head back and say, "i think the curse seal is pretty. the way it curves along your cheek is just gorgeous, it's such a rich shade of black, and it looks the best when i see you smile. but most of all, you make it look pretty. i like the curse seal because it's a part of you." inumaki softly smiles when he hears this, and just wraps you up into a hug. you two stay like that for a minute or two, interrupted only by "can i see your painting of me now?" "shake."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
nanami kento - you two are at home in the kitchen. normally you both take turns cooking and cleaning, but tonight you decided to make dinner together. nanami is cutting up vegetables for your curry, while you focus on cooking the chicken in the sauce. soft music plays while a delicious aroma fills the room. nanami finishes cutting up the vegetables, neatly zooshing them into the pan with the knife. you add coconut milk and spices, stirring as the sizzling gets loud, and then gently recedes into a soft bubbling. you watch the pan carefully as nanami shifts behind you, wrapping his arms around your front. his face rests on your shoulder as you both watch the pan bubble away.
he gently bites your ear, asking, "how was your day?". your hand comes up to rest on his cheek, sighing contently. "fine. i was a bit busy, but nothing out of the ordinary. how was yours?". nanami sighs, the air lusciously dancing around your ear. "mmmmmm...annoying. or, more aptly, gojou was." you laugh, imaging all the ways the he could have been a nuisance. "is that so?," you say. "yes, but i don't want to dwell on it. work is work, and i'd rather focus on my time outside of it," nanami says. "like focusing on you," he breathes into your ear. he gently spins you around so that you're facing him, and pulls you closer to his body. he wraps his arms around your back, and you wrap your arms around his neck. you two begin to softly dance to the music, not even moving from the spot you're currently in. it's not perfect dancing by any standards; in fact, you think you're off-beat. still, with nanami humming in your ear and such a comforting aura surrounding you, you don't really think it matters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
gojou satoru - for once, you two aren't running around and acting crazy. instead, you've just woken up to rain pattering on the window and cloudy skies overhead. gojou is still asleep in bed, blindfold slipped over his face with his closed eyes revealed to the world. you smile, enjoying the sight. it's not often you two get time to just be together, with gojou being gone all the time, his students needing his attention, and your own life and responsibilities. you slip out of the room and into the kitchen, cutting up fruit and making coffee. you bring it back into the room, the smell waking up your drowsy boyfriend. crystalline eyes look up at you, filled with love and adoration. you sit on the bed as he sits up, passing him a plate and a mug.
"hey, i just had the craziest dream," he says, mouth full of raspberries. "oh? would you like to tell me about it?," you respond, sipping your coffee. gojou smirks at you. "well, normally i would say to never tell a bad dream before breakfast because that's the surest way to make it come true, but i don't believe in that, and anyways i could kick the dream curse's ass if it came to it. so, itadori is a woman, and sukuna keeps taking over to play with boobs, right?". he rambles on, and you think he's actually making some of this up on the fly, but it's entertaining and you don't want to interrupt him. he tells you the whole story, and by the end you've both finished your breakfast. you're still laughing at the part where inumaki is left at the alter by nobara chasing after maki, when he picks up your plate and mug and places it on the little table beside the bed.
"satoru, what are you-," you're interrupted as he swiftly pulls you into his lap, your back flush against his chest. confused, he hands you the book on the side table while he picks up a stack of reports. he opens them and starts reading, while you look at him in confusion. he apprehensively pauses and looks at you. "we don't get to have a lot of quiet time like this," he hesitantly explains, "so i thought we could just do something with each other, even if it's just reading. i have to read these reports and you wanted to finish that book anyway, so i thought we could start like this." he smiles down at you, and it's like he shoots warmth straight into your chest and fans it out to the tips of your fingers, toes, and eyelashes. you ghost his cheek with a kiss and burrow into his chest. "of course, 'toru. this is absolutely perfect." you feel his chest skip a beat through your skin, and try to hid your smile. you open your book while he resumes his reports, and bask in the comfort of shared love.

Alright then, here's the pallette au request :3 The pallette swap is a magic mishap and Anti is losing it that he now look like he belong in a hello kitty mood board. Have fun with this prompt
“Are you painting or just playing?” Anti asked, tilting his head to look at the ‘creation’ of Wilford’s from a different angle. He wasn’t intentionally being rude with that question, Wilford was known for just messing with colorful things to just play with it.
“Yes?” Wilford hummed, dunking his hand into a bucket of bright green paint. “Wanted to make art but not at the same time.” He added with a shrug before slapping the same hand to the large white sheet taped to the wall.
“Does Dark know you’re doing this in the living room?”
“Nope.”
“Good. Hope it pisses him off.” Anti giggled while Wilford was now trying to get the green paint off of his face but just ended up adding more to it.
“That’s not nice to say about your boyfriend.” Wilford teased, seeing Anti scrunch his nose from that.
“He’s not my-” Anti stopped when Wilford suddenly sneezed. The sneeze was off, it sent a strange wave of...something across the room, hitting himself and Anti. “Lovely.” Anti groaned and shook his body, a bubble-like feeling made him glitch.
“Oh...my…” Wilford’s voice got Anti to look at him.
“Why is your hair green? Your skin’s green too and your clothes are black and your eyes...mother fucker!” Anti’s thoughts patched together what Wilford looked like now and he rushed over to the closest reflective surface. Thankfully there was a mirror in the nearby hallway. “No!” Anti shouted when he saw himself. Pink hair, yellow shirt, and his usual soft green hue to himself was a bright, bubblegum pink.
“You look adorable.” Wilford chuckled.
“Adorable!?” Anti rubbed at his face, hoping the pink would just go away. “I look like a fucking Hello Kitty mood board! Like I should be yelling ‘friendship is magic’ or some bullshit like that.”
“That’s My Little Pony.” Wilford corrected.
“You’re not helping!”
“Anti?” Dark’s voice got Anti to slunk down and hide behind Wilford.
“Hi, Dark.” Wilford greeted with a large smile.
“What happened?”
“Death is about to happen,” Anti grumbled.
“Isn’t he just so precious like this?” Wilford stepped aside, showing the fully pouting Anti. “Right, Dark?”
“I-uh-” Dark cleared his throat into his hand. “Can you put your, um, colors back?”
“Don’t know.” Wilford casually walked away.
“You don’t-Wilford Warfstache!” Anti shouted and went after Wilford, shouting fairly...creative curses at him.
“He does look a little...cute,” Dark said to himself when he was alone.
“I’m going to snap your dick off!” Anti’s shout got Dark to shake his head and sigh.
“If only his mouth matched it.”

Class 1a with a bubble gum quirk reader that gives The characters pieces of their hair to chew since its bubblegum
omg that is so frickin dickin awesome for the first request! I tried to keep everything gender-neutral but I might've slipped up here and there, sorry! hope you like it!
Bubblegum
Class 1-A X Reader
❁❁❁
"Wait, you're like Mineta but better!" Kaminari cheered.
"Hey!" Mineta grumbled.
(Y/N) (L/N), Aizawa's niece/nephew. They showed up to UA one day, clueless as ever, and interrupted a lesson he was teaching accidentally. Ever since then, they've been good friends with the students of Class-1A, despite not wanting to be a hero themselves. Because of they're relation to Aizawa, they were allowed to enter and exit the premises whenever they chose, and that led to too many nights with them sleeping on the couch in the common room or taking someone else's bed.
"(Y/N), this is an odd question, but why don't you ever tie your hair when it's all...bubblegum-y?" Tsu asked while everyone was having dinner, and (Y/N) shrugged as they chewed their food.
"Because the hair elastic might just cut through my hair if it's squeezing too tight. That's a shit ton of sugar chopped off." (Y/N) said.
"Wait, sugar? I thought you just had hair that could turn into a bubblegum-like consistency. Not actual gum!" Kirishima said.
"It's actual gum." They nodded.
"How do you wash it?" Ashido asked.
"I just do. Well, okay, y'know how sometimes I just have normal hair that's just very brightly coloured?" (Y/N) asked.
"Yeah?"
"And y'know how sometimes I have gum hair?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I just change it back to normal hair. Carrying this much gum on your head would be super fucking heavy, I can't deal with that!" (Y/N) reasoned.
"You're too weak to carry your own hair? Tch." Bakugo grumbled.
"I'm sorry, Bakugo, but not all of us are used to having 50 kilograms of dog fur stuck to their scalp at all times." (Y/N) grinned.
"What did you say to me?!"
"You heard me, asshole!"
❁❁❁
Class 1-A was just relaxing after a long day of studying when (Y/N) did something that they hadn't seen them do before.
"What?" They asked, everyone staring at them as their hair turned into bubblegum and they tore a small piece off, chucking it in their mouth and proceeding to chew quietly.
"Did you just...eat your hair?" Uraraka asked, dumbstruck.
"Oh come on, this isn't the first time you've seen me do this, I do this all the time!" (Y/N) said.
"Nope. This is the first time." Tokoyami said.
"Well you should've known! My quirk is called bubblegum for a reason." (Y/N) shrugged, blowing a large bubble and letting it pop before continuing to chew.
"Your hair is edible?" Todoroki asked.
"Yeah. In the same way that Ashido's acid corrodes and Bakugo's fire burns, my quirk does things too. That's how they work. What's the point of having bubblegum hair if you can't make bubbles from it. And to make bubbles, you have to chew, dumbasses." (Y/N) laughed.
"Can I...try some?" Sero asked.
"Sero!" Yaoyorozu scolded.
"What? I'm serious!" He said.
"Sure." (Y/N) tore another piece of the pink substance off and handed it to sero, making him tilt his head to the side as the class stared at him for a bit.
"It's totally clean, don't worry." (Y/N) reassured him.
"I'd still eat it, even if it wasn't." He said, popping it in his mouth.
"Gross, don't say that!" Jiro said.
"Well?" Ojiro asked.
"It's...actually really sweet. I like it." Sero smiled.
Soon enough, everyone was chewing on a piece of gum and asking (Y/N) more questions about their quirk. Mostly Midoriya, pen and notebook in hand.
"So, does it just grow back infinitely? If you turn it into hair and then back into gum, will it be the old gum or new gum? Can you make other flavours?" He started making, ready to take notes.
"It does grow back infinitely, to whatever length I desire. Uh, it's new gum, if not that would be very unhygienic. And, yes, I can make other flavours." (Y/N) nodded.
"You can?!" Iida asked. A small piece of her hair went white, and she tode it off, throwing it at Iida. He caught it and stared at it for a moment like Sero did, before putting it in his mouth.
"It's plain mint. You're boring like that, Iida." (Y/N) grinned.
"Ouch."
"I'm kidding! On a serious note though, I should monetize this." (Y/N) said, pondering some kind of business prospect.
"No. Never." Mineta said as they giggled.
Rest assured, 1-A's bubblegum supply won't be running out any time soon.

Love Letter - Richie Tozier
Tumblr media
word count: 12,440 (I got really carried away) warnings: swearing request: @oceanspray5: Hi! Can you write a hc or (even better) a fic for Richie x fem!Reader (only if you want to of course) where he is deeply in love with her. She's sweet and nice but evryone says he's bad for her cuz he's a trashmouth so he would only corrupt her. Cue Richie leaving secret notes and flowers from the quarry in her locker as an outlet to try and rid himself of his heartache/feelings, not expecting anything in return, until one day she accidently finds out and it's happy ending of course. Thank you! summary: When Ben tells Richie that the best thing to help with his feelings for (y/n) is to write her a love letter, the trashmouth never expected it to turn into a full on secret admirer thing.
___
A simple note.  That’s all he had to do, all he had to write.  He could pour out everything he was feeling into one little letter, slip it into her locker, and get it over with.
Ben said that’s how easy it was! He’d told him that as long as he was honest, and spilled his very heart out onto the paper, then his heart wouldn’t go so crazy around her anymore.  He wouldn’t feel like he was suffocating as she filled every one of his senses.
However, now that he’s looking at this letter, this heartfelt letter, and probably the most sincere thing he’s ever written, he didn’t feel all that much better.
So right away, he picked up the phone and called Ben.
“Hi, Richie-”
“Yeah hey, what the fuck is this shit?” Richie jumped right into it, before Ben could even really say hello.  “You said this would help!”
“Are you talking about the letter?” Ben asked hopefully.
Richie rolled his eyes.
“No.  I’m talking about fucking smoking crack- yes I’m talking about the letter.  You told me that once I wrote it, it would be off my chest and I wouldn’t have to think about her anymore?”
Ben was silent on the other end for a moment, and Richie tapped his foot impatiently on the floor.
“What do you mean?” He finally asked.
“What do I- Ben!” Richie screeched into the phone, “I said that I needed to stop thinking about (y/n) all the time, because I was starting to act like an idiot in front of her, remember?”
“Right, because you’re in love with her” Ben said in agreement.
“Yeah, whatever, my point is I wrote the goddamn letter and it hasn’t helped”
“Well, what do you mean it hasn’t helped?”
“I mean I’m still fucking thinking about her!” Richie yelled again.
“Can you stop yelling?  It hurts my ear,” Ben muttered.  “But you're doing something wrong, writing her a little love note isn’t supposed to get rid of your own feelings”
“But that’s what I-!”
“I don’t get why you want to stop liking her, (y/n’s) awesome,” Ben cut him off.  “What you should do is give her your letter”
Richie almost had a heart attack.  He really thought he was going to spasm and then drop dead on his bedroom floor.
“What, the, fuck?”
“Yeah,” Ben responds, and Richie can only assume that he’s shrugging his shoulders.  “After I gave Bev my poem, I felt way better! Just knowing that she know how I feel-”
“What the hell? She doesn’t even know it’s from you!” Richie shrieks.
It’s silent again.
“Sorry for yelling” Richie mumbled.
“Thanks,” Ben answers.  “But you don’t have to tell her that it’s you.  It still feels good to know that she knows someone really likes her.  Just give her it, you’ll know what I mean”
“How do I give it to her without her knowing it was from me?”
“I dunno.  Slip it in her locker?”
Richie mulls it over for a moment, thinking about how he could put a letter like this in her locker when she’s not around.  He decides that no one can be around, he doesn’t want a single person on this planet to know that he’s done this.  Besides Ben, he supposes.
“You sure it’ll help?”
“Yeah” Ben replies, but it’s unenthusiastic, and not convincing at all.
Richie thinks he might just have to take the chance anyways, because if he holds onto all these feelings any longer, he might just explode, and that doesn’t seem like a good idea. ___
That’s how Richie finds himself sneaking into the hall the next day at school.  He’d asked to go to the bathroom in the middle of class, when he knew the halls would be empty, and it would be the prime time to put his letter in (y/n’s) locker.
His plan worked.
There was no one around, and he slipped the folded paper in between the vents of her locker.
Luckily, he met her at her locker every day after school, so he knew exactly which one was hers.  And as soon as the paper disappeared and fluttered into the locker, he felt the weight lift off his shoulders.
Ben was right.  This was exactly what I needed.
He lingered there at her locker for a minute, feeling more relaxed than ever.  And (y/n) hadn’t even read it yet.  This was going to be perfect.
Maybe she’d wonder who it was for a couple days, maybe even for a week.  But eventually she’ll get over it, and Richie hoped he could get over his feelings for her too.
Then they could go back to being friends, and he wouldn’t feel so awkward all the time.  Perfect. ___
“Do you know anything about this?”
Beverly turned to (y/n), blowing a rather large bubble of bubblegum as she glanced at the paper in her friend’s hands.  Shrugging, she shook her head, and her bubblegum popped.
“Nope” She answered.
(y/n) let out a short sound of disappointment as she looked back at the paper.  It had been stuffed haphazardly in her locker, and as soon as she’d put in the combination and opened the door, it had fluttered down to her feet.
It was exciting at first, from the moment she opened it, she hung onto every word spilled out on the page.  It was definitely the grandest gesture anyone had ever done for her, not to mention the most romantic thing she’d ever read.  And to know that someone had written this for her, it made her heart pound in her ears, and her whole face had turned pink.
She read it over three times, before gathering her things for her next class, and racing off.  She’d hoped, she’d crossed her fingers that Beverly knew who the boy was that had forgotten to sign his name.
She even said a little prayer in hopes that it was the boy she wished.
But if Beverly didn’t know about this note, then she probably didn’t know who it was from.
“What’s wrong?” The red haired girl asked, realizing that (y/n) had deflated in her seat.
“Oh, nothing, I just…”
“You want it to be from someone, don’t you?” Beverly asked, a smirk spreading across her lips.
She’s been friends with (y/n) for years now, and knew exactly what that longing look on her face meant.
“Well, maybe,” The girl admitted softly.  “But it’s just so… carefully written, you know? I just feel like… like whoever wrote it should tell me”
“It is odd that it’s not signed,”
Beverly furrowed her brows, eyes skimming over the page skeptically.  Her mind drifted to the beautiful poem she’d gotten on a postcard a couple years ago, and how that hadn’t been signed either.
“That means they don’t want you to know who it’s from”
“But I’m dying to know, Bev”
“Yeah, well, unless you want to interrogate the whole school, you’ll just have to accept it”
(y/n) frowned.
“That’s horrible advice”
Beverly laughed, and shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.
“Or you could always do a little investigating.  Match up the handwriting, see if there’s anyone who talks to you like that,” She suggested, gesturing to the paper.  “Wanna talk after school? Maybe flip through the yearbook and look at possible candidates?”
“Sure,” (y/n) lets out a small laugh at the idea.  “Making lists always helps”
Of course, Beverly knew that.
“Great, I’ll call you after I finish this essay I’ve been putting off?” The redhead asked.
(y/n) nodded in agreement, thinking this was probably the next best idea they had.
She read through the note one more time, before carefully folding it back up by it’s original creases, and tucking it carefully into her bag.  Class was going to start soon, she’d have to put off her investigation for another time. ___
Richie Tozier always met (y/n) at her locker at the end of the day.  Mostly because it was the only time none of their other friends could drag her away from him.  They had a tendency to want to put distance between the two.
Stan and Eddie had told (y/n) time and time again that she shouldn’t get too ‘exposed’ to Richie because he was such a trashmouth.  She didn’t get it, and ignored their stupid warnings anyways.  She was a big girl, she could make decisions for herself.
Besides, whenever she’d get to her locker to find Richie leaning against it, her knees got weak, and her heart would soar.
“Hello, Tozier” She greeted with a wide smile, one that she didn’t even bother to try taming.
“G’afternoon, m’lady” He responds in a dumb and not too great accent, but she laughs anyways as she spins in her locker combo.
Richie’s tapping his foot, staring at her anxiously.  The good feeling he’d had earlier today getting eaten up by his nerves.  What if she knew?
“Hey, are you doing anything?” She asks him, glancing up at him as she puts her books away.
“Besides standing here and breathing? I guess not” He retorts.
Jesus fucking christ that was the most embarassing thing you’ve ever said, what are you? A dad? Because that was a dad joke you dumb fuck-
“I mean after school,” (y/n) giggles, slinging her backpack over her shoulder, and shutting her locker.  “I want a slushie”
“And I’m the only fella in the land that you want to accompany you?” He asks.
He mentally face-palms again.
For fucks sake would you get it together?
But again, she laughs, and nods her head.
“Sure, something like that,” She tells him.  “Wanna go?”
“Abso-fuckin’-lutely”
They walk side by side out of school and into town.  Normally they’d go to the quarry together to meet the others, but pretty much everyone had something going on, and couldn’t make it.
Some of Richie’s nerves had calmed, but he still found himself tapping at his leg when it would get silent between them.
She had a way of easing his nerves, but still making his heart pound like it was trying to get out of his chest.
(y/n) looked over to him, and leaned over to bump her side against his, bringing him out of his stupor.
“You sure are quiet today, Trashmouth,” She commented.  “Somethin’ on your mind?”
“No, I just like hearing you run your mouth” He replied, hoping that she brushed his awkwardness as just him teasing.
She rolled her eyes back at him, but a smile curled on her lips.
“You’re funny,” She says nonchalantly.  “I didn’t mean to talk so much”
“No really, you ramble a lot, it’s hilarious and adorable”
Her face got hot immediately after the word left his mouth, and so did Richie’s, but he did his best to hide it.
They get to 7-Eleven not too long after, and finally Richie seems to be his usual self.
He mixes a bunch of slushie flavors together, like an animal, and (y/n) can’t help but stick her tongue out as she watches him mix blueberry, cherry, orange, and lemon lime.
“What’s your problem?” Richie asks, adding banana slushie until it’s reached the top of his cup.
(y/n) shakes her head and scrunches up her nose in mock disgust at the action.
“How can you drink that?” She asks, filling her own cup with her usual cherry and blueberry mix.  The way you were supposed to drink them.
“I like to live dangerously, toots” Richie replied with a wink that made her roll her eyes affectionately.
He brought his cup to the counter, giving the clerk the money for it and then some to cover (y/n’s).  Just as she’d walked up to the register, sipping on her perfectly mixed drink, Richie was already grabbing her arm and pulling her out of the store.
“But I have to-”
“I already paid,” He told her, and cut her off just as she opened her mouth to protest.  “Too late now, it’s already paid for, now come on”
She made a face, because she did not need him to do that, but it was still kind, so she thanked him quietly and followed behind him as they went outside.
They sat on the curb, setting their bookbags down and enjoying their cold drinks.
“It’s weird that we don’t hang out” (y/n) said, and Richie looked over to her, but she was staring down at her cup.
“Yeah,” He agreed.  “But it’d be pretty humiliating to be murdered by Eddie, so…”
She laughs, but it’s half-hearted.
“Still…” She trails off, and dares a glance over to him.  “We should just hang out anyways” Her eyes can’t meet his as she speaks, too bashful, but she waits for him to respond.
Richie gives her a wide grin, and when he chuckles, she finally looks up at him.
“How devious of you, breaking rules and shit” He says before sipping on his horrible concoction of flavors that shouldn’t taste good together.
“It’s not a rule,” She says, scolding him just a bit.  “It’s just… I don’t want to upset my friends, our friends,” She says carefully, and then peeks up at him nervously.  “But… you’re my friend too you know”
Somehow she did that thing again.  Where his heart skyrockets, and then crashes so hard in his gut he thinks it might make him barf.
That might be his slushie talking, though.
“Yeah, I know,” Richie responds, staring downwards so he didn’t have to see her expression.  “You’re my friend too”
A small smile quirks on her lips, and then she scoots closer to him, setting her drink down to grab her bag.
“As my friend, would you like to help me on a very top secret investigation?”
She wiggles her eyebrows at him excitedly before opening her backpack, and rummaging in it.
“I want to ask more questions but how can I say no to an invitation like- oh fuck”
She pulls out a folded piece of paper that Richie recognizes instantly, he almost spits out orange flavor from his nose, but he’s quick to swallow and sets his cup down.
As (y/n) excitedly hands him the opened note, he grabs at it frantically, eyes scanning over the words he thought he’d memorized.  He hadn’t, apparently, because reading it now made his gut wrench and he wished he had just gotten a plain cherry slushie.
“Isn’t that fucking awesome?” (y/n) squeals, latching onto his arm with both hands, and reading along with him.
Richie’s eyes probably scanned over the paper four times before he finally reacted.
“Holy shit, toots,” He mumbled.  “You’ve got someone whipped”
She blinked at him, her smile still on her face, even though with every passing second, she was confirming her worst thought.
It wasn’t Richie.
A part of her heart longed for him to say ‘to be honest… I wrote you this’.  But the longer Richie stared at it, analyzing the text, the harder reality struck her.  It couldn’t be him.
When he handed her the note back, she frowned for a moment, but just as quickly plastered on a smile.
“Something wrong with it?” Richie asked, a bit too impulsive, but he caught her look and freaked out at the thought that she was disappointed in it.
“No, actually, it’s entirely perfect,” She admitted softly, holding onto the edges of the paper as not to put a single crinkle in it.  “But Bev says that whoever did write it, had no intention of coming forward”
“Well, yeah, isn’t that the point?” Richie asked.
“The point?” (y/n) repeated unsurely.
“Yeah, that now you know someone out there… loves you… that much”
He cringed at his words, but (y/n) stared up at him, waiting for more of an explanation.
“I don’t understand,” She told him.  “If I loved someone that much… I think that it would be very difficult for me to hide that,”
She wasn’t wrong, but Richie almost shivered as a chill went down his spine.
“I mean, wouldn’t you?”
“Wouldn’t I what?” He asked, too lost in thought to focus on her words.
“Well, think of it from my perspective,” (y/n) angled her body towards his as she spoke.  “If you’d gotten a note like this, wouldn’t you expect someone to come out and just- I don’t know, profess their love to you? It feels like a pretty grand gesture to me,”
Richie contemplates it for a moment.  He thinks about declaring his love for her, loudly, in front of the whole school, the whole world, and just pouring his heart out in ways he couldn’t have done on paper.  Telling her every beautiful thing about her that he loves, every wonderful thing that has changed his life, and his view on what it truly means to be alive-
“I’m daydreaming way too much,” (y/n) draws him back from his thoughts with a short laugh and a shake of her head.  “Wow, I really thought I was in a romance novel for a second there”
She laughs again, but Richie can barely hold a smile.
“I don’t think that’s a bad thing,” He says, picking up his slushie.  “And I think it’s normal for you to want to… um… know who wrote it”
She gives him a sad sort of smile, and finally lets go of his arm so she can grab hold of her own slushie.
“I don’t think I’m gonna figure it out,” She sighs.  “But if you hear anything, you’d tell me, right?”
“Absolutely,” Richie answers without hesitation, and the smile that takes over her lips is genuine this time.  “Trade?” He asks, holding out his slushie for her.
Her nose crinkles again, but she curiously leans over to take a sip from his straw.
After swallowing, she smacks her lips, tasting the remnants of the strange flavor.
“Okay.  It’s not that bad” She admits, and Richie beams at her victoriously before drinking from her own plain slushie.
“I knew you’d like it, toots”
They hang out on the curbside until their slushies are gone, and then Richie walks her home.
She does an odd thing as she says goodbye though, something she’s never done before anyways.
She hugs him.
It’s quick, and he doesn’t even have the time to reciprocate the action before she’s pulling away, smiling as she waves, and heads inside.
It’s simple, but he thinks about it over and over as he walks home. ___
(y/n),
I want to keep this simple, because honestly if I get too into it I think I’ll keep writing until there’s no more paper in the world.  Or at least no more paper that I have.
So, I’m in love with you, take that as you will, but writing it has been surreal, let alone feeling it for the last year or so.  I just wanted to let you know, because it’s been weighing on me for a while now, and I think I’m going to die soon from feeling it all the time.
And it’s not artificial either, it’s real love, and I’ve felt it long enough now to know that it's a complete and total infatuation I have for you, I’m not just romanticizing what we have.  Which isn’t much to begin with.  But still, I love you.
I thought you deserved to know.  It doesn’t feel fair to you, for me to have this all-consuming feeling and not let you know, even though it concerns you.  I think you’re the greatest person I’ve ever met, and the greatest one I ever will meet, and I think that you deserve to be loved like this, the way I love you.
Yours,
Empty.
(y/n) stared at that spot like if she waited long enough, a name would appear.  Of course, after ten minutes of laying in bed and staring, nothing happened.
Besides the sudden spikes in her heartbeat of course.
But she’d figure it out eventually.  Even if it took the rest of the year, hell, even if it took the rest of her life, she was committed to finding the author. ___
Richie woke up earlier than usual the next morning.  Maybe because he couldn’t sleep, maybe because all he thought about was (y/n) and the fact that he’d poured his heart out to her, and she didn’t even know it.
And he was just dying to do it again.
It may have been too early to go to school, but he got himself ready and left the house anyways.
He decided that it was a good idea to collect flowers on his walk to school, stalling and plucking any of the prettiest ones he could find.
Dandelions are weeds, Richie, his mother’s voice scolded in his head, but he pushed the thought away.
By the time he made it to school, he had quite an abundance of dandelions, clovers, bluebells, and some tiny purple flower that he knew she’d think was pretty.
He was pretty proud that he was able to tie the tiny bouquet with a broken dandelion stem.  And he thought that (y/n) would find it cute too.  She was always picking dandelions and cattails and other strange plants from the quarry, either placing them in Bev’s hair, or fashioning them together in a crown.
Once he’d made it to the school, he had just enough time to stick the flowers carefully into the vents of (y/n’s) locker, so that they would stay in place without falling. ___
(y/n) almost squealed with delight when she’d found the gift at her locker this morning.  Beverly had to remind her that it was too early in the day for such high pitched sounds.
“But they’re so cute” (y/n) murmured.
“So is this a regular thing then?” Beverly asked, drawing (y/n) out of the trance she appeared to be in while staring at the flowers.  “You know, the notes and flowers and… shit”
(y/n’s) brows furrowed, but Beverly just smirked back at her.
“I hope so,” She answered.  “I mean, it should be easier to figure out who it is that way, right? They’ve got to slip up at some point”
“I guess that makes sense,” Beverly shrugs.  “Hey, how come you didn't call me yesterday? I thought we were gonna flip through yearbooks and list the options?”
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” (y/n) exclaimed.  “I completely forgot, I just got caught up with…”
“With what?” Beverly asked.
(y/n) glanced around the busy halls, making sure that Stan or Eddie was nowhere around.
“Okay, don’t tell the others… but Richie and I hung out yesterday” (y/n) admitted, a bit more shy than she needed to be.
Her cheeks turned pink, and she had to bite back a grin.  The action only made Bev’s smirk widen.
“Oh did you?” She mused, crossing her arms and leaning against the locker next to (y/n’s).
“Yeah,” (y/n) mumbled, almost dreamily.  “We got slushies”
“Well isn’t that just romantic?”
“What? No- no it wasn’t like- no no no-”
“You’re stammering,” Beverly laughs.  “Besides, I already knew you had a thing for him”
“What-!?” (y/n) hissed, but it didn’t matter, because Bev just shook her head.
“Yeah, it was pretty obvious.  But anyways, how was it? Did you show him the note?”
“I did…” She said through a small huff.  “ANd um, it wasn’t from him”
“Oh” Beverly said with the same disappointment.
“But that’s okay, it’s Richie, he would never do something like that,” (y/n) brushed it off with an awkward laugh.  “Besides, you know how Stan and Eddie are, always trying to keep me away from him”
Beverly rolled her eyes, but she could tell that she’d hoped Richie had been behind all this, so she tried to move past the sensitive subject.
“Speaking of those idiot boys, we better get to class” ___
The next day, (y/n) found another small string of flowers tucked into the vents of her locker.
And the day after that, multiple small bouquets.
And the day after that, her locker was blanketed in dandelion and lilac heads, taped carefully to cover the whole door.  She probably gawked at it for five minutes before putting in her combination as delicately as possible, not wanting to make any of the pretty decorations fall off.
“Wow,”
The voice made her jump, and she swiveled around to see Richie grinning at the current state of her locker.
“That’s… a lot” He said, it was all he could think to say.
“Yeah,” (y/n) answered bashfully, letting out a soft giggle.  “Whoever did this must have come to school really early,” She mumbled, mostly to herself.
Maybe that’s how she’d get him, and it dawned on her, that it was the only possible solution.
Her eyes noticeably widened as her jaw dropped open at the realization.
“Oh my god, Richie, you’re a genius”
“Um-”
“Before school, they’ve got to do all this before school! In the morning!”
She grabs his shoulders and shakes him excitedly without thinking.  The poor boy looks so confused, and worried, but he gives her the best smile he can manage.  It’s not pretty.
“You want to come with me?” She asks him.
She looks so hopeful, her eyes are bright and she’s pushing her lips together to keep from smiling too wide, but Richie can tell she wants to.
Well.  Fuck.
“Want to, um, what-?”
“Want to catch him with me?” She asks, trying to talk quietly, but the eagerness in her voice makes it go up a couple octaves.
He thinks she looks like a six year old on christmas morning.  And how is he supposed to say no to her?
“Sure,” He says, and it takes a lot for him not to let out a sigh as he agrees.  “How early though? Because I like to sleep until I absolutely have to-”
“Thank you, Richie!” (y/n’s) enthusiasm was bubbling over the top, as she practically jumped up to kiss his cheek, before grabbing her things to head off to class.
He’s stunned to frozenness, of course, by the quick action.
“I gotta go, but I’ll call you tonight to talk about the morning!” She calls after him, and waves goodbye as she makes her way down the hall.
Even when the bell rings, he’s still standing there, the spot on his face where her lips had brushed burning hot on his skin.
But the sweet moment is quickly washed away as he realizes what he just agreed to. ___
Richie isn’t surprised to hear (y/n’s) voice as soon as he picked up his phone that night.  It was late, far too late for him to be up and talking on the phone, but he’d keep his voice down so his parents wouldn’t wake up.
Luckily, he had his own extension in his room.
“Alright toots, what’s your plan?” He asked, sitting back on his bed while she began her rambling.
“Okay, I’ve thought it out perfectly,” She starts, and he expected no less.  “The perfect hiding spot- and stay with me here- is the girl’s bathroom across the hall from my-”
“Yeah, no,” Richie disagreed right away.  “I’m not going in the girl’s bathroom, I’m not that much of a perv”
“It’s not pervy!” She argued.  “No one else will be there, it’s fine.  Now hush and listen,”
Richie rolls his eyes, but manages to keep quiet so she can continue explaining her plan.
“I say we hide out there for half an hour, and catch him in the act!”
The boy can’t help with wince, feeling guilty, since she won’t be catching anybody.
“Alright then,” He exhales.  “You’re telling me I have to get up at 6:30?”
“No, I’m telling you we have to be there at 6:30,” She corrects him politely.  “You should probably get up around-”
“Why don’t you swing by here on your way, and then we’ll just go together,” Richie suggests.  “Just ring the doorbell, and I’ll wake up, and we’ll go”
“Richie, that won’t be nearly enough time-”
“Trust me toots, it’s plenty of time,” He cuts her off, and she’s quiet on the other end of the line.  “Well, I best be getting to sleep since you’re getting me up so early for this scheme of yours”
“It’s not a scheme, Tozier, it’s a plan!”
“It’s a scheme”
“Plan!”
“G’night toots” Richie laughs, and he can hear her mumbling in frustration.
“Goodnight” She answers, and then hangs up the line.
Almost as soon as he puts the phone down, Richie’s confidence disappears, and anxiety strikes him again.
He really was going to kill Ben for getting him into all this.  It was way out of hand.
Although he supposed he could’ve just written the note and left it… but he liked getting the flowers for her, he liked seeing her face light up in the mornings when she’d find them.
He needed a plan of his own. ___
The following morning, (y/n) had been at Richie’s door at 6:15 sharp, giving them just enough time to walk to school… and then some because she figured Richie wouldn’t be out of bed and ready to go as he thought he would be.
And he wasn’t.
He was a slow morning person too.  Even just changing took him way too long.  But eventually he dragged himself out of the house, his backpack barely hanging on one of his shoulders as the pair walked to school together.
“Whatcha starin’ for?” He mumbles out, before yawning.
He didn’t have to get up this early before now.  (y/n) really was dedicated to this mystery.
She’d been trying not to laugh as she looked at him.  His hair disheveled, he’d probably haphazardly combed through it, the curls poking every which way.  He’d hardly been able to put on sweats and a tee shirt, with a jacket loosely thrown over it to keep warm.  It appeared he’d started to zip it up but gave up before he even reached halfway and left the house.
Even his glasses sat crooked on his face.
“You, you dork,” (y/n) laughs, and grabs his arm to stop him for a moment.  “Do you look at yourself before you leave the house?” She asks as she zips his jacket up for him, and then adjusts his glasses to fit properly over his nose.
“Sorry we don’t all wake up hours early to pick out an outfit and do our makeup” He teases back, before playfully swatting her hands off him.
(y/n) rolls her eyes.
“I picked out my clothes the night before, dummy,” She tells him, matter of factly.  “And I don’t wear makeup”
Richie’s brows furrow, and his nose scrunches up.
“Really?”
“Yes, really,” She laughs back at him.  “Now wake up more! This morning is important”
“Right right, I’ll work on that”
But you see, Richie hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep in four days now.  He’d be up all night thinking about (y/n), and then get up early to enact his plan of the day for her locker.  He couldn't have gotten more than six hours the past few nights.
So by the time they got to the school, he was already done for the day, and it wasn’t even 6:30 in the morning yet.
He followed sluggishly next to (y/n), who had never been more wide awake and perky in her whole life.  And once they reached the girl’s bathroom, he nearly collapsed onto the tiled floor.
It was a good thing that the entrance to the bathroom itself didn’t have doors- a choice made by the principal, who thought that it would help them detect if anyone were smoking in the stalls.
(The students had long ago figured out how to crack the windows so they could just smoke out of there, but in this case, (y/n) was glad that there was an opening to the hall to spy through)
The pair sat just inside of the bathroom, across from each other.  (y/n) was leaning against the space next to the entrance, where she could easily peek her head around the corner and see her flower covered locker.  Richie sat against the brick panel just across from her, which acted as a barrier to see the bathroom from the outside.
It was just then that (y/n) realized how ridiculous her school’s plan to combat underage smoking really was.  Especially as Richie pulled out a cigarette and lit it right then.
“Richie!” She scolded in a hiss, but he shrugged innocently.
“There’s no one else here” Was his answer, and she didn’t argue it any further.
She didn’t care much, she was far too excited about the events this morning was going to unfold.  Richie, however, slumped further against the wall, about to fall asleep with his cigarette still in his mouth.
“Oh, I brought snacks,” (y/n) told him, pulling her backpack around, and opening it up to dig for what she packed.  “I knew you wouldn’t eat before we left.  And in every cop movie, they eat during the stakeout”
He thinks that his heart might explode, because never before had he heard the simplest of things sound so cute.
As she pulls out two jumbo oatmeal cream pies, which are the perfect substitute for breakfast, his eyes catch a small plastic bag inside her backpack.
“You kept all those?” He asks, recognizing the flowers sealed inside.
“Oh, yeah,” (y/n) answers, adjusting the small bag so the flowers wouldn’t get crushed.  “I thought they were pretty” She told him, before shrugging a shoulder.
Richie watches her while she’s focused on these flowers, these weeds that he’d gotten for her.  There was a small smile on her face as she examined them, even though they were dying, and there was a pile of petals at the bottom of the bag.  But still she’d kept them.
“What are you gonna do when you find him, anyway?” Richie asked, and right away she put the flowers away and zipped up her backpack.
“I guess get to know him,” She answers, but she sounds unsure.
They simultaneously open their plastic wrapped breakfast cakes.
“Go on dates, I have to give him a chance, don’t I?”
“You say that like you don’t want to” Richie chuckles, eating in between puffs of a cigarette.
“I do,” She tells him, but it’s faint.  “I do, it’s just… I don’t know what to expect,”
Richie only hums, because he doesn’t know what to say to her.  There’s nothing he could say, or so he thinks.
“Can I be honest?”
“I’m sittin’ here either way, toots” He teases back.
“A part of me doesn’t really want to know” She admits, and takes a rather large bite of her breakfast snack.
“What? Why?” Richie asks.
“Um, well,” She sighs through a mouthful of food.  “I’m nervous”
You have no idea the amount of anxiety I’ve been through this week, Richie thinks, but he nods his head in understanding.
“You don’t think it’s gonna be who you want it to?” He asks, and she chuckles humorlessly.
“I know it’s not who I want it to be,” She says, which only confuses him more.  “But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to give whoever it is a chance, it’s only fair, he’s done nothing but- but shower me in all these flowers and this declaration of love, you know?”
Richie nods, but it’s a very small movement.
He’s forgotten both his breakfast and his smoke in his hands as he stares at her, hanging onto every word she spoke.
“Yeah, I know” He agrees quietly.
(y/n’s) quiet as she continues to eat, the gears in her head turning almost as fast as her heart is beating.  Richie can almost see her processing through every boy in school, and wondering if any of them could be the one.
He wondered if he crossed her mind when she went through this mental list.
“Hey,” Richie whispered, and kicked at her foot.  “Someone’s coming down the hall”
Her expression changed in a split second, and she wiggled with excitement, before peeking out the doorway to see who was coming.
Richie felt his gut churning, he thought it might just be mush by the time this was over.
Her anticipation grew and grew as the footsteps got closer, and just when the person rounded the corner, all that came to mind was oh?
Bill Denbrough walked right up to her locker, slipped a piece of paper in the vents, did a scan to make sure no one was around, and then walked away.
And that was it.
She physically deflated in front of him, and he could see the disappointment coming off her in waves.
There was a furrow in her brows, and her grin fell to a slight frown.  Even her eyes had a sadness and a confusion to them that Richie’s never seen before.
“Bill?” She mumbled, mostly to herself.  “Bill Denbrough?”
Richie didn’t say anything, the guilt he was feeling eating at him from the inside.
(y/n’s) eyes meet his, but still, he’s silent.  She takes his contorted expression as confusion and she shakes her head a bit.
“I don’t- I don’t understand,” She continues to mumbles, slowly taking bites out of her oatmeal cream pie.  “Bill? Bill’s my friend”
“Well- do you- do you want to go talk to him?” Richie asks, but it does nothing to ease her perplexed state.
“Um…”
It’s all she says.
She peeks around the doorway again, watching Bill as he walks down the hall, probably towards his first class.  The buses would arrive in a few minutes, and classes would start not too long after.
“(y/n)?” Richie asks, starting to feel even worse.  “Are you alright?”
“I- yeah” She stammers back, which proves she’s lying through her teeth.
“Are you sure?” Richie asks, and the look she gives him pretty much assures him that he’s going straight to hell when he dies.
She just looks so disappointed, lost and confused, and Richie didn’t think that unless Bowers himself had been at her locker, then she wouldn’t have been let down.
Clearly, this was worse.
All she does is nod her head, and toss the rest of her treat in the trash.
“(y/n)-”
“I’m gonna go to class,” She tells him, quiet, and shaky.  “I- I’ll see you after school?”
She glances at him as she grabs her bag and waits at the doorway, and Richie nods his head back at her.
And then she takes off.
Richie wished that some greater force would just kill him now. ___
“I’ve got a question for you, Big Bill,”
Beverly sits down at the lunch table, and just from the look on her face, the boys are already nervous about how this conversation is going to end.
The redhead crosses her legs before leaning over the lunch table, staring at Bill almost threateningly.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Wh-what?” The boy stuttered back helplessly.
“(y/n) told me today that her little secret admirer…  was you,” She said, eyes narrowing.  “But… that doesn’t make any sense”
Bill cast a quick glance to Richie, but he kept his eyes trained on his food, which he was only poking at.
“W-well, I-”
“Because,” Beverly continued to explain herself, “I know that you don’t like her, not like that, not in the way her little note says”
“B-Bev I-”
“So,” The redhead cuts him off again, “Either you thought this was a funny joke, and I’ll kick your ass.  Or, someone put you up to it”
The others at the table are on the edge of their seats, eager to see what happens next.
Besides Richie, who is still moping.
Ben, however, was probably the most excited one to see where this went.  Seeing as he knew that Richie was the true writer of the notes, and he’d been the one to pick the flowers.  And he realized that Richie must have asked Bill to do his dirty work, to throw off (y/n).  But Richie could not have anticipated this chain reaction.
(y/n) herself didn't even come to the cafeteria for lunch today.  She’d made plans with a teacher for an extra credit assignment just to get out of seeing Bill.  She’d told Bev about this morning, and then went on to try and find a way out of every class she had with Bill.  Not because she was upset with him- she could never, Bill was one of her best friends- but because she didn’t want to make it more awkward than it already was.
“I- I wasn’t tr-trying to hurt h-her,” Bill said.  “I w-was just-”
“Then who is it?” Beverly asked.  “Someone must have told you to do it, who?”
Richie hated that she was too smart for her own good.
“I- I can’t t-tell you,” Bill huffed.  “I-I p-promised”
“Uh-huh, look, (y/n’s) my best friend, and you’re gonna have to tell me, so spit it out”
“I p-promised”
“I don’t give a shit, just spill-”
“It was me”
It only took three words for the attention of the whole table to focus on Richie.  And usually when he opened his mouth, the others had a knack for completely shutting him out.
If he thought Beverly was upset before, oh boy, this was an unfiltered rage she’d just tapped into.
“What?” Her voice was low, and pissed.
“Yeah” RIchie shrugged.
“You did what?” Stan shrieked, but Richie ignored him, still staring straight at Beverly.
“Where the hell do you get off? Do you think this shit’s funny-?”
“It wasn’t a joke,” Richie said, calmly, and the red in Bev’s cheeks started to fade out.  “It was real, I wrote that note for real, and I wanted to give her all the flowers and stuff”
Beverly blinked, completely baffled.
“You did what?” Stan repeated.
Richie just shrugged his shoulders, and went back to eating his lunch.
“You- but you-” Beverly shook her head, completely thrown off.  “You?” Was her final question, and it wasn’t much, but it was all that she could articulate.
“Yeah.  Me,” Richie responded.  “You gonna go tell her now?”
Beverly shook her head, surprising him.
“Really?” He asked.  “Two minutes ago you were gonna kill Bill-”
“You have to be the one to do it,” Bev told him.
Richie snorted.
“Right” He said sarcastically.
“No way” Stan interjected, but he was still being ignored.
“No, really,” Bev continued.  “Right now she thinks that her friend is into her-”
“I’m her friend too” Richie said with furrowed brows.
Beverly nodded her head from side to side.
“Eh, yeah, but…” She trailed off, because she couldn’t tell Richie that she knew (y/n) liked him.  “I feel like her knowing the truth is more important right now”
“Yeah, because I want to ruin the barely-friendship we have now” Richie rolls his eyes.
“Come on-”
“I’m not telling her” He deadpanned, before Beverly could try to convince him.
“Yeah, he’s not telling her” Stan chimed in, mouth full of pot pie.
“Not because of you, dingbat,” He muttered with a dirty look towards his friend.  “Because I like her, and I’d like to be friends with her”
“You’re being ridiculous,” Beverly said, finally opening up her lunch bag.  “I guarantee it’d be worth it if you just gave in”
Richie shook his head, and didn’t bother to argue with her anymore.  He doesn’t want to have to argue something so stupid, especially when this was something unchangeable.
He was in love with a girl he knew he didn’t deserve to have, and so he’d just have to live with it. ___
As he was waiting by her locker at the end of the day, Richie wondered if he’d be able to live with this, knowing that he’s maybe ruined her whole world- or at least just her friendship with Bill.
When she finally makes her way to her locker, she seems better than this morning, and offers him a kind smile as she reaches him.
Richie grins back at her, completely out of relief.
And then he hugs her.  She’s about to turn to put in her combination, and the action takes her by surprise, but she pats his back sweetly before he lets go.
“I’m really sorry about this morning,” He told her, and she tilts her head to the side a bit.  “I wasn’t- I was just tired and didn’t know how to act, I’m so sorr-”
“Richie, don’t be sorry,” (y/n) cuts off his babbling.  “It’s not your fault, you didn’t do anything wrong”
She gives him a genuine look, a kind look, convincing him that there was no need for his guilt, and still, he felt like a piece of shit.
“Well, Bill, I mean, you guys are friends, and-”
“It’s no big deal Richie, I overreacted,” (y/n) shook her head, before putting in her combination to collect her things.  “I just wasn’t expecting him is all”
“Wh-who were you expecting?” Richie stammered out, and then cringed.
“I don’t know,” (y/n) hummed.  “Just… not him”
She puts her books away, and gathers what she’d need to do her homework tonight, before shutting her locker and looking up at him readily.
She notices the crease between his brows, and he seems very zoned out, because he’s just standing there, instead of heading out.
“Rich?” She asks, holding onto the straps of her backpack.  “Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah, sorry, yeah” He nodded, and moved out of his stiff position to walk by her side down the hall.
She kicks his foot gently, not to trip him, just to tease.
“Stop with the apologizing,” She says with a small giggle.  “Hey, do you want to get slushies again?”
He looks down at her, but doesn’t really answer, just stares at her.
Her hair is in a messy bun resting at the back of her head, and more strands have fallen out than are still being held in the hair tie, but somehow it’s still perfect.  It’s a very (y/n) look.
She kicks at his foot again.
“Yeah, sure, sounds good” He finally snaps himself out of his daze.
“You okay upstairs?”  She asks him playfully.
“Are you asking me if I’m crazy?” Richie asks, just as they make their way out of the school, and down the front steps.
“No, never,” (y/n) laughs again.  “You just seem out of it..?” She speaks like it’s a suggestion, as though she’s asking him.
“You’re right, and I completely blame you for waking me up so early”
“Blame me?” (y/n) repeats.
“Yes! You were the one that made me wake up at the crack-of-fucking-dawn!” Richie retorts, whilst giggling because he can’t help it when he’s joking with her.
Somehow when he’s cracking jokes with the others, he always laughs loudly, his friends find it annoying.  But with (y/n), his boisterous laughs faded into childlike giggles.
“Well excuse me for being a romantic,” She said, playfully narrowing her eyes at him.  “I thought you would understand”
Richie’s brows crinkle, and he looks down at her with an amused smile.
“Me? You thought I’d understand?”
“Yes!” She answered enthusiastically.
“And what in the fuck makes you think I’m a romantic?” Richie asked with a snort, but he was starting to blush.
“Obviously because you bothered to come with me this morning,” (y/n) answered, a bright smile on her face.  “If you weren’t a romantic, then you wouldn’t have come”
“That doesn’t-”
“Awe Richie, you can admit it,”
He thinks his heart stopped in his chest, and he’s about to die.
“You wanted me to find loooove” She sing-songs the word, and it made him roll his eyes.
“Oh toots, you think far too highly of me” He tells her in his poor british accent.
“No, I don’t think so,” (y/n) shakes her head.  “I just think you don’t want to admit it.  You just wanna be the cool guy”
“So you think I’m romantic and cool?” He asks, and now she’s the one to roll her eyes, but it’s an affectionate action, and accompanied by a bright smile.
“Don’t be so full of yourself” She says, before sticking her tongue out at him.
“I’m just repeating your words toots,” He responds.  “You flatter me”
She laughs, despite herself, and he beams back at her.
“Yeah, well, you’re also a dummy” She murmurs, but it doesn’t hinder Richie’s good mood.
He already knew that.  He just sure loved hearing those other things from her.
Once at the 7-Eleven, (y/n) made her same cherry and blueberry slushie, and then raced to the counter to pay for both of their drinks while Richie was too busy with making his terrible drink.
Just as he turned to head up to the register, he found her standing there, a smirk on her face while she sipped on her drink.
“You didn’t” He groaned, but she lifted a shoulder and gave him a knowing look.
“I did” She replied with a grin, and nodded her head for him to follow her outside.
“You’re the worst” He mutters as he sits next to her.
She hums, holding her slushie between her hands and giving him a shit eating grin.
“That’s fair,” She responds, poking his arm teasingly.  “And you should know that you’re also the worst”
“That’s fair,” He mimics, and taps his cup against hers.
They drink in silence for a bit, besides a few jokes from Richie here and there that he can’t help.  But eventually she just has to get it off her chest.
“So, did you know?” She asks him, nervously looking over to him.  “About Bill? Did he ever… say anything?”
Richie knows then that the mistake he’s made is catastrophic.
“Um, no, he didn’t” He said, which isn’t technically a lie.
But then again, if you have to argue that it’s not a lie… it definitely isn’t the right thing to say.
“Oh” She mumbles, and moves her straw around in her cup, mixing the red and blue flavors.
“He’s probably just shy,” Richie blurts out.  “You know, otherwise he would’ve just handed you all that stuff”
“I suppose,” She agrees in a mumble.  “It’s just odd, you know, since you’re his best friend”
“I mean, best friends don’t always share everything”
“That’s not true, there’s nothing I wouldn’t tell Bev,” (y/n) tells him sincerely.  “And even when I have hid things, she’s always figured it out anyways.  She’s always had a way of reading me,” She giggles softly as she reminisces on how good of a friend she has.  “Don’t you tell him everything?”
“Well- kind of,” Richie’s still stammering, as a result of him bending over backwards to keep his secret.  “I know that, um, well he’d do anything for me,” He says.  “And I’d do the same for him too”
“That’s what best friends are, aren’t they?” (y/n) asks, looking back at him again.  “Someone you can trust and put before anyone else in the world? Someone worth fighting for?”
“You’re cheesy,” Richie says with a nervous laugh.
He has to stop himself from tugging at his collar, because fuck, he felt like he might just overheat.
“But that’s a good thing!” He adds impulsively.
(y/n) smiles.
“Mostly I think they’re secret keepers” She hums.
“I can’t imagine you have that many secrets” Richie replies, and again, she smiles at him.
“You’d be surprised,” She says, so softly he thinks she’s trying to tell him one, but he doesn’t understand it.  “But no, there’s not many”
“Tell me one” He says before he could think of something more suave.
She glances over at him,and one of her eyebrows quirks up in surprise.
“And what makes you think you’re so deserving of one of my secrets?”
“I just dare you to” Richie says, and a smirk tugs on his lips because he’s a piece of shit like that, but it makes (y/n) laugh.
“Well, if you dare me to, I suppose I’m obligated then, hm?”
“You absolutely are toots,” He says.  “So, are you a man or mouse?”
“I’m but a humble girl,” She says in her best horrible british accent, leaning over to him dramatically.
She can’t contain her laughter, which makes it all the more adorable to him, and he gazes at her fondly while her hands pat against his arm softly.
“But if my deepest darkest secrets are the entertainment you seek, then that is the entertainment you shall receive” She continues in her accent.
Richie rubs his hands together in a maniacal fashion, and he scoots closer to her with anticipation.
A part of her is screaming to tell him how she feels, that’s probably her greatest secret after all.  But she looks at him and reminds herself just why she can’t.
It was too hard just to become friends, to get past the barrier that had been (and still is) Eddie and Stan’s disapproval, so a friendship is just what she’d have to accept right now.
“Well, this isn’t exactly a secret,” She sighs, “But I guess you don’t know, it’s kind of a secret from you”
Richie’s brows furrow, but his lips turn into a smile as her hands wring together nervously.
“And what could you possibly have to hide from me, toots?” He asks, his smile still stuck on his face.
Her fingers are still fiddling as she meets his eyes, and she licks her lips before taking in a deep breath.
“Well, so, um, so you know how Stan and Eddie are always being… well, I think they’re overprotective for some odd reason, but they used to always drag me away? Whenever I was around you?”
“Yeah?” Richie asked, wondering where the hell she could be going with this.
“Yeah, well…”
“Well what?” Richie asked, dying to know.  “You realized they had good reasons?”
“What? No!” (y/n) swatted at his arm.  “Of course not, just the opposite, actually”
“The opposite?”
“Yes…” She responded in a huff.  “They told me that they weren’t going to invite you to movie night one time, and I… maybe… yelled a little,”
Richie smirked, enjoying the image in his head of (y/n) chewing out Stan and Eddie.
“And… well, I told them that I wanted to be friends with you whether or not they were happy about it.  And maybe they still like to cover my ears whenever you talk, and they still talk shit, but I- I don’t care,”
She realizes she’s rambling, and her hands are moving around rapidly in front of her, and suddenly she pauses to collect herself, before looking at him.
“Anyways, that’s why I asked you to walk me home from school” She finishes softly.
“Wait,” Richie shakes his head, and his brows furrow.  “I thought you said that Bowers started following you?”
(y/n) gives him a sheepish smile, before shaking her head.
“Nope,” Her voice was barely a mumble.  “I tricked you into being friends with me”
Richie let out a scoff, before his lips pulled into a wide grin, and he nudged his shoulder down against hers.
“You sly little devil,” He teased, and he couldn’t miss the blush spreading over her cheeks.  “You deceived me?”
“Yep,” She shrugged.  “That’s how desperate I was” She adds with a shy laugh.
His heart is soaring, and for a minute, he forgot about the mess he’d gotten himself into.
“Well you must have been lonely seeing as you were looking for my friendship” He teased, but she shook her head at him.
“Don’t talk like that, you’re one of my closest friends, I love hanging out with you,”
Oh fuck, this girl will be the death of me.
“I don’t regret any of it, not at all” She adds sweetly.
And goddamnit, the look on her face is so sincere, so kind, and if he weren’t such a fool, he probably would have kissed her right then and there.
“You are a romantic,” He tells her instead, and her small smile widens.
Richie reaches his hand out, offering to take her empty cup to throw away.  She thanks him as she hands it to him, and watches him as he gets up and tosses it in the bin at the front doors.
When he comes back to her, he extends his hand again, but this time his silent offer is to help her stand.  She takes it, without hesitation, and he pulls her to her feet.
“Ready to go?” He asks, letting go of her hand after lingering for just one extra second.
(y/n) nods, adjusting her backpack as she walks with him in the direction of home.  She doesn’t ask him to walk her home, and he doesn’t offer, but they both know he is, because he always does.
They talk more, about anything they can think of, really.  School, their friends, random rumors going around that can’t be true but sure are fascinating to talk about.  They cover anything and everything- except for Bill, except for the notes and the flowers, and for the ten minutes it takes to get (y/n) home, Richie lives in a world where it doesn’t even exist.
It’s not until they reach her doorstep that he remembers.  Not by choice- but he can’t help but be reminded of it every time her eyes meet his.
“As always Tozier,” (y/n) sighs, her hands latching onto his wrists as she smiles up at him, “Thank you for walking me home”
He smiles back at her, but it isn’t his typical shit eating grin.  It’s small and soft, it’s loving.
“Every time, toots” He tells her sweetly.
There’s a small laugh that comes out of her in a breath, and she squeezes his wrists gently before letting go.
“See you tomorrow Rich” She says, and turns to her door.
He starts to go, but the further he gets the more of a weight he feels on his shoulders, to the point that he knows if he doesn’t turn around, he might collapse on her driveway.
So he does just that, he spins around, and walks back up to her.
“Wait, (y/n/n)?”
“Yeah?” She asks, blinking at him, waiting patiently for him to continue, which for some reason it’s taking him a moment to speak again.
“Do you want to walk to school together in the morning?”
Her head tilts just barely to the side at his odd and sudden request, but a smile blossoms on her lips, and she nods her head.
“Sure” She agrees delightedly.
“Okay,” He nods back at her, and some of his guilt washes away.  “I’ll pick you up this time”
“Okay,” She repeats.  “I’ll be waiting”
Again, he’s nodding, but it’s rapid and nervous and he can almost hear his own heart beating inside of his head.
“Okay, bye” He says, stepping back to leave this time.
But goddamn it he can’t do it, he can’t move, not a single muscle, he’s frozen there in front of her doorstep, nearly a statue, struck by anxiety and guilt and worst of all, love.
He can’t stop himself, the words tumble out before he even thinks about their consequences.
But this is what happens when it comes to (y/n), he can’t control his actions whatsoever.  His heart takes the wheel and does whatever the fuck it wants, and it wants (y/n) more than anything in the whole fucking world.
(Richie agrees with this, but he thinks maybe if his heart could dial it back a little, then he wouldn’t be so scared all the time, like he is right now)
“It was me” His heart speaks for him, without warning, without a plan.  It just wants to speak the words into existence.
Not just to his friends at the lunch table, that wasn’t enough.  It needed (y/n’s) own ears to hear.  Richie wanted (y/n) to hear.
“What?” She asks, turning around to face him.
Her question is genuine, she doesn’t understand what he’s referring to, but something about the look on his face, the one of sheer guilt from the short confession, tugged at her deep down.  And deep down, she knew exactly what he was telling her.
She could translate what he truly meant just from the way his eyebrows creased, and how he was chewing at the inside of his cheek, and grinding his teeth.
“All of it, everything, it was all me” He went on.
“Richie, what do you…?” She starts to question him, but as she stares back at him, her words fail her, and she can only let out a soft breath.
“I just- I wanted you to know the truth, and I didn’t want to fuck up your friendship with Bill, I’m sorry for that”
“He… he wasn’t…?”
Still, she’s slowly going mute, as she drops her bag to the ground, and rummages through it for the most recent gift, the note that she’d seen Bill put into her locker.
“But I… but we… I saw…”
She knows she sounds idiotic, and she wished she’d been able to properly collect her thoughts and ask him complete questions, but she’s just so shocked.
She had been so certain that it couldn’t have been Richie.
Her hands are trembling as she opens the folded note, eyes scanning it swiftly.
“What’s it say?” Richie asks, and her eyes flicker up to his, before going back to the paper in her hands.
“It-” She starts, but her throat swells up and she chokes for a second.  “It says- um,”
Her brows are furrowing, eyes trained on the few words scrawled across the whole sheet of paper.  The writing is haphazard, but still, whoever had written it had done so perfectly, as it fit right in the center of the page.  The longer she studied it, the more she realized it just had to have been Richie.
“It says I’m- I’m so-”
“I’m so fucking in love with you,”
Richie speaks up, and she looks up from the page, staring at him with her brows knit together, and her lips parted in shock.  She’s taking in short little breaths, trying to calm her eager heart.
“That I don’t know what to do with myself” He finished, and promptly kicked his shoe against the ground.
She’s still staring at him, waiting for more of an explanation, or waiting for him to tell her he was kidding and then run off down the street.
It couldn’t have been more clear to her that he was being absolutely sincere.
“Yeah,” Richie huffs.  “Um, it really was all me”
(y/n) blinks at him, before folding up the note again, and sliding it carefully back into her bag.
“Then what about this morning?” She whispered meekly.  “And you looked at them all- talked about it with me like- like-”
“I didn’t want you to know,” Richie shrugged, and stuffed his hands into his pockets.  “That was… it was the point of it being anonymous”
“Richie…” (y/n) starts, and he braces himself, staring down at the ground, silently praying it would swallow him whole right now.  “I… I really thought it wasn’t you”
His head shoots up, because that’s not what he expected.
“What?”
“I- yeah- that first, um, note, I kinda thought that maybe you’d… you know, written it,” She says softly.  Her hands start to wring together again.  “But from the way you’d reacted to it I just thought there was no way and… it sucked”
He shakes his head in disbelief, and the action makes her crack a smile, because he looks so confused and it’s so cute and utterly Richie.
“You- you wanted it to be me?” He asks, brows deeply furrowed as he stares at her skeptically, unsurely.
She bites down on her smile as she nods her head in confirmation.
“Yeah.  Yeah of course I wanted it to be you,” She whispers.  “I just really didn’t think it could have been, especially when you went on that stake out and the flowers-”
“(y/n),” He cuts her off, stepping forward until there’s the smallest amount of space between them, and she has to tilt her head back to keep their eye contact.  “I have to know, do you have feelings for me too?”
His glasses are sliding down his nose as he stares down at her, the look in his eyes intense as they flicker in between hers, searching for any sign at all.  He needed to know if this was the single greatest mistake of his life, and he’d live the rest of his days a lonely fool-
“Richie,” She murmurs back, a slight shake in her head as her own eyes wander the features of his face, mapping out every freckle, every dip, every crease.  She’s consumed by her own love for him and he didn’t even know it yet.
She doesn’t finish her thought, because she can’t help but lean in and capture his lips.  It’s a tentative kiss, because it’s new and she’s never kissed someone that she’s liked this much before.
Her hands were slow as they lifted from her sides, and pressing lightly against his shoulders.
When she pulled away, it took a second for her to process what just happened.  Meanwhile Richie was staring at her intensely, trying to get a read on her.
She’s starting to smile, and finally her eyes flutter open.
And all at once, he doesn’t feel like this is such a catastrophic mistake.
His fingers reach up and brush against her jaw tenderly.  Her eyes are half lidded, and trained on his lips.
“Sorry,” She mumbles.  “I just wanted to-”
“I get it” Richie shakes his head, cutting her off.
His hands slid up her jaw before cupping around her cheeks, and then slammed his lips down against hers.  She didn’t even have time to take in a breath before their lips connected, and she stumbled back at first but when she threw her arms around his neck she caught her balance and kissed him back passionately.
She’d never felt such a clarity though, and she thought she was going to float right off the ground.
It was like she’d been waiting for this one amazing kiss for a long time now, and it was everything she’d hoped for and more.
Richie’s fingers slid into her hair, cradling the back of her head and pulling her impossibly closer to him, as close as he could get her without picking her up and clutching her body against his.
He was dying to do that though.
“I can’t believe it,” (y/n) mumbled in between kisses.  “I love you too,” She added, her lips moving against his before attaching again, kissing him just a bit harder.  “And I-”
“You do?” Richie pulled away, and his hands dropped back to cradle her face sweetly.
She beams at him, before nodding her head in a choppy fashion.
“Yeah,” She mumbled, smoothing her hands over his shoulders, before gliding down his arms.  “I do”
His grin matches her own, and it's hard to bite it back so that he can kiss her again. ___
It was two weeks later when (y/n) found herself placing flowers in Richie’s curls while he was passed out.
The Loser’s Club had gone to the quarry, planning to spend the whole Saturday there.  And it was the first group thing that Richie and (y/n) were officially a couple at, but they also hadn’t all hung out properly in about a month, so it was a big deal.
Mike, Stan, and Bev brought all the food and snacks they could find that would keep in coolers.
Eddie and Bill brought drinks, sodas, waters, Eddie provided juice boxes that everyone made fun of but still drank anyways.
Ben brought a bunch of blankets for everyone to sprawl out on.
That left Richie and (y/n) in charge of the alcohol for the night, which pretty much meant Richie stealing as much as he could while (y/n) kept a lookout.  They had a system of bringing a bag full of empty bottles into a store, and sneaking liquor into the bathroom to transfer it into the bottles.
It was a skill they perfected on their first try.  Maybe it wasn’t moral, or legal, but they were seventeen, and stealing from their parents just wouldn’t get them enough alcohol for all eight of them.
They’d spent the whole day doing whatever they wanted.  Which was mostly swimming and drinking at the same time, despite Stan letting everyone know he would not help them if they drowned.  But now that the sun was starting to set and everyone was dwindling down, their party turned more into a calm night.
Maybe too calm, because Richie had passed out on one of the blankets.
But he had drunk quite a lot quite fast, spent twenty minutes picking every single flower and weed-that-looked-like-a-flower in the area, proclaimed them to be beautiful but never as beautiful as his girlfriend, and then pretty much dropped dead.
(y/n) was currently using the plants he’d picked now to lay them in his hair while he slept.  She laid on her stomach by his side, admiring how pretty he was as she did so.
“Are you making me a flower crown?”
Her eyes flickered down to his, not having expected him to say anything.
“I thought you were asleep?” She hummed.
“I was, but then the strangest thing happened,” Richie said, squinting up at her.  “I felt this- this presence, like an angelic, godly presence.  And next thing I know, there you are”
“Shut up,” (y/n) giggled, poking his cheek before rifling through her pile of flowers again.  “You’re such a nerd”
“I thought you liked that” He teased.
“Of course I do,” She murmured back.  “I just also think you should be reminded”
It was quiet for a moment while she focused on threading the stem of a dandelion perfectly through one of his curls.  After she’d made it as structurally sound as she could, she grinned, and gave him her attention again.
“And it’s not a flower crown,” She told him as she rolled onto her back, staying right next to him.  “But there are, like, a shit ton of flowers in your hair.  I had to do something with all the ones you picked for me”
He could hear Stan and Eddie making fun of him, while they sat not too far away taking turns drinking juice boxes and taking shots.  But it didn’t matter.  They would always tease him and (y/n), it was normal, and he came to terms with that the very day that (y/n) told him she loved him too, and they started going out.
It simply didn’t matter anymore.  Nothing they could say could matter.
“You want a juice box?” (y/n) asked, poking his cheek again because he had clearly zoned out.  “You drank a lot and then kinda just took a nap, you need something else in your system”
He smiles at her and nods.
“Sure” He answers, and starts to get up but (y/n) gently pushes him back down.
“Don’t move, you’ll mess up your flowers” She tells him, and then gets up to get them juice boxes.
Richie’s pretty certain he’s died and somehow was lucky enough to go to heaven.  He didn’t know how he pulled it off, but that made more sense than his reality.
I’m (y/n’s) boyfriend, he thinks, and then he repeats it to himself again and again.
She collapsed next to him again not a minute later, before handing him one of the juice boxes.
“Eddie’s kinda hoarding them,” She mutters, settling her head against his upper arm, which he wrapped around her to pull her closer.  “But he also accidentally got drunk, again, so I just took them when he wasn’t looking”
Richie chuckles, sipping away on the cheap drink, still lost in his own hazy thoughts.
(y/n) looks up at him, noticing his quiet state, and sets her box down.
“What’re you thinkin’ about?” She asked softly, gazing into his eyes lovingly.
“Take a wild fuckin’ guess sweetheart,” Richie chuckled, and (y/n) rolled her eyes affectionately.  “I know, I’m a nerd”
She nods her head, and once again, pokes his cheek.  But her fingertip glides over his cheekbone and then along his jaw, tracing over his skin delicately.
“Yeah, but I love you for it”
His lips turn up into a cheesy grin, and he gives her a quick kiss that makes her cheeks flush pink.
He’s had two (amazing) weeks of watching her blush like that every time he kisses her, and it’s his new favorite thing.
“Richie,” She hums.  “I’m so fucking in love with you that I don’t know what to do with myself-”
“Ha ha,” Richie can’t help but roll his eyes while (y/n) giggles, thinking she’s so funny for repeating his own words back to him.  “You’re gonna do that all the time now aren’t you?”
“Oh yeah,” She nods her head seriously.  “All the time.  Probably every day, hell, I’ll start calling you before I go to bed to remind you”
He finishes his juice box so that he can wrap both arms around her.
“I’d be okay with that”
“Good” She mumbles back happily.
“But you know that makes you a nerd too” He tells her.
She tilts her head back to look at him, before kissing him fully, her lips lingering against his for a second after she pulls away.
“That must be why we’re so perfect together” She says with a cheeky smile.
“Yeah yeah, you cheeseball,” Richie teases, and tugs her against him.
They lay and enjoy each other’s company, and the atmosphere of their friends.
Ben’s telling Beverly about how he helped Richie write his first note, and Mike and Bill are drunk wrestling horribly in the grass.  It’s an odd mix of things to listen to while one is trying to enjoy the sunset with their significant other, but something about it still felt right.
Richie breaks the silence just as (y/n) is considering napping with him.
“You’re right”

In the summer day, the pages of the book fluttered in the breeze. The brown cover was soft against your fingertips, you could say that it was comforting. Upon the softly golden pages, the words were written so deeply and so clear, it whispered the words that you long to hear. Leaning back against the bark of the tree, you smiled gently at the ambience. You watch as the green of the grass changes hues in the sunlight, patches of flowers scattered along the field outside of the university. Dandelions, white clovers and crocus flowers.
Glancing up, you smile as you watch your best friend squatting next to some flowers. You know he’s trying to find a four-leaved clover, he has been looking for 10 minutes already. Laughing softly, you shake your head. At the noise, he looks up at you before smiling and you can feel your heart pound as his eyes squint and you can see his gummy smile. Taking a dandelion, he shouts, “Y/n, watch this. I’ll make a wish!” Giggling, you watch as he blows it. Well, more like huffing as it doesn’t work. You swear you couldn’t fall more in love with your best friend.
Checking your watch, you suddenly remember that you have to pick up a potion for your next class. Gently, you tuck your book into your bag before standing up, picking up Soonyoung’s coat, “Soonie, I have to go to the lab to pick something up.”
“Okay, I’ll come with you.” He smiles at you once more before taking both his jacket and bag out of your hand, his yellow jumper so bright that it rivals the sun.
“Soonie.” you whined, but all he did was ignore your pleading and goes to walk on, heading for the entrance.
“What do you have to pick up anyway?” he asks, turning his head to look at you with a smile.
“I need to pick up one of the books, you know the one about flower potions?” he opens the door for you, letting you in first before following you behind. Luckily, your professor is nice enough to trust all of his students for the door to be open.
Going to the back of the classroom, you go to the bookshelf, your eyes skimming through all of the titles. Potions from nature, nope not specific enough. Potions from love, nope. Ahhh there it was, Potions from flowers.
Whilst sorting through the books, you fail to notice Soonyoung looking through the potions that sat on the side that was made by your class. You were trying to make a truth potion and unfortunately, they have to take time to set in and seeing as they haven’t been tested they have to be set on the side.
“Soonie, I’ve got - Soonyoung, don’t touch that!” turning around you find Soonyoung holding a glass of truth potion to his lips, the serum in a normal drinking glass but it was too late as you watch the liquid slowly start to go into his mouth. With wide eyes, he lurches the glass away from him, but you know that it has already taken effect. Neither of you say anything for a few minutes, both of you trying to process what he just did.
“Soonyoung! Why did you do that?” you shout at him, whacking him on the arm with your book.
“It looked tasty and it had your name on it” he whines with a pout, rubbing his arm, “that hurt”
“Do you feel any different?” even though this was probably a bad thing, your curiosity takes over you, wondering if the truth potion was made correctly. He shrugs, “not really, though it didn’t taste very nice. It sort of looks like bubblegum, don’t you think? I thought it would taste better, though it does look like syrup, like that stuff you put into hot chocolates. Though, I don’t know what type of syrup would be bright pink” he gasps, his hands going over his mouth.
“so the potion was correct. Hmm, what else can I get out of you?” you laugh, pondering for a moment before a light bulb switches in your head. Maybe, just maybe this could work in your favour.
“Sooo, Soonie. Who do you like?” getting close to his face, you fake confidence, wishing for a certain sentence to come out of his mouth. You watch as he struggles, the potion pushing him to answer.
“Y/n~ I can’t tell you that. I know you are my best friend and everything but I don’t want it to end. I’m in love with you and I have been for the past 2 years, you’re amazing and so kind and so loving. I’m surprised that you haven’t even noticed, everyone says that it is too obvious. Now, I can’t stop talking because I’m nervous for your reaction because even though you might not love me back, I’m fi-”
His words are cut off as your lips meet his, a small peck to his mouth is all he gets before you part away with a sly smile, “I love you too dork. Now, come on hufflepuff boy before someone finds out.”

Part Four: The Aftermath
           The weathered professor seemed very confused but stood her ground and insisted, “Miss King, take the summer off.”
           “I just need a week, that’s all—and then I’ll get the methodology section to you—Dr. Watts I just need another week, please!” Antha pushed back. Dr. Watts set her glasses on her desk and then waved her over to a deep-tufted-leather sofa.
           “Antha,” her voice lowered, “I’ve known you for what—five years? You don’t become a valedictorian because you don’t like to write. You have been moody these past few weeks, you barely passed the final exam, and you’ve pushed back the thesis methodology three times. Last class, you were so distracted I would have rather you skipped. I know you, talk to me, what’s going on?”
           “My sister and I had a Friday night out with some friends and something happened.” Antha murmured, staring down at her feet.
           “Friday nights aren’t what they used be; did you hear about the fight that broke out at that dive bar off of—oh, what’s it called? You know the place—well, it was all over the news,” she paused gravely, “you weren’t there were you?”
           The twin nodded slowly. She felt overwhelmed in front of her advisor. She pinched the bridge of her nose and squeezed her eyes shut before replying. “Tessa’s date got into a fight with an old flame, it was a whole thing. But after…” She couldn’t continue. The advisor took her hand gently.
           “Did someone hurt you?”
           Antha’s eyes welled and all she could do was stare. As if she said the words out loud, it would become more true than it already was. The doctor’s forehead wrinkled as her brows gathered together. Having lived through the revolutions of the sixties and the proceeding struggle for equality, Dr. Watts knew the dangers women faced. She didn’t need an answer; she just wanted to offer shelter to a young woman. She knew just from looking at her student that whatever happened, it was beyond words.
           “You’re taking the summer and fall semester off—or at the very least take the summer off and go to a student counselor; its free, it comes with your tuition, so please use it. If you need anything you know you and your sister can come to me.” She wrote down her personal number and one for the counselors’ office. Antha held the little shred of stationary. She promised she would do just that.
        Shortly after, she left her advisor’s office and floated through the campus green and then waited by the bus stop. Her feet told her she was going home, yet her attention was somewhere far away. What can I say to a counselor? Who would understand what we saw at Hollow House? Without realizing, she had retrieved something from her pocket; she stared dumfounded at the pewter-colored iris that gleamed back.
        Antha couldn’t get rid of it. But in a moment of frustration, she chucked the marble-like eye into a nearby drain. She returned to her spot and tried to focus on scheduling a counselor. Moving forward, that’s what I need, she figured.
        A familiar wheezing crawled up the street. The sluggishness of a muffler that had seen better days filled her ears as she dazed at the phone number-laden scrap paper.  “—Antha!” Someone yelled. To her surprise she peered up to see Doug hanging out of his rusty Buick, looking just as timid as ever. He seemed anxious, for what reason she didn’t know. “I’ve been calling your name. You’ve gone deaf ol’ girl—you want a ride?” He asked with forced humor in his voice. She watched him blankly as his expression fell. “You alright?”
        Antha thought about it and suddenly felt stupid. All of her gusto about moving forward had evaporated; she lamely shook her head like a weary child. She felt like a little girl in a world that was too big for her. It all just seemed too much.
        The July swelter didn’t let up even with the windows down. The two didn’t speak as they made their way to their favorite pizza joint. Thrilled to be out of the unairconditioned Buick’s steel embrace, they collapsed into the far back booth of the pizzeria. All the servers knew it was Doug and Antha’s spot; they habitually kept it clean and empty, knowing they would eventually roll in. They made it to the “golden hour”. The sacred three hours between the lunch and dinner rush. It was their favorite time.
        “Whatchas want?” The straggly blue-haired waitress chewed her bubblegum like a goat.
        “The usual—uh hold on—when did you eat last?” Doug asked. Antha shrugged and realized she didn’t know. She couldn’t even think that far back. “Can we get a double order of the usual? But make two of them to-go?” The waitress didn’t even answer as she went to get drinks. “You want to talk about it?”
           “Nope. I said everything already.” Antha wasn’t mad at him, she was just tired. She was more annoyed that he would ask about the matter and then dispute the realism of what she explained. Doug grumbled when the waitress slopped the pitcher and straws down, vanilla coke-a-cola splashing everywhere.
           “—Hey, don’t we get like a punch-card or something? You know, for every hundred pizzas we buy, we get the next one free?” He politely suggested, his way of being confrontational. He was growing exasperated with the women in his life; he didn’t mind taking it from his close friends, Zoey and the twins, but he was having none of this waitress. She paused, chewed her gum, and left again.
           “Whoa, cool off killer,” Antha snarked, her spirits lifting with each sip of her fountain soda. She looked him over and thought on their friendship for a moment as he griped about that one particular server.
        Doug was a shy, lanky, ginger-bearded young man. He was passionate about things and supportive of the people he loved, but didn’t reserve much attention for the people outside of that parameter. He lived in vintage band t-shirts, had friendly light eyes, and a funny smile. No one could resist his unkempt wolfish hair or his corny sense of humor; he had a way of growing on a person. But he always showed up, his guitar in tow. That’s why Antha didn’t fight him when he asked about that night; she knew he actually cared and was trying his best to understand. He couldn’t help her though. No one could help.
        “How about we hang out this weekend, do a barbeque? Nobody grills a burger like you—and Tessa can make her sangria, huh, what do you think?” He tried to turn the conversation to open her up.
        “Uhh… I don’t know. I can’t plan that far ahead, I’m real busy.” She declined. The sausage pizzas arrived faster than expected and Doug dropped slices on their plates.
        “Busy yeah? Mmm-hmmm,” he bit into his slice, cheese tangling in his five o’clock shadow, “busy not writing your thesis, not eating, and not sleeping? Ant, the last time I saw you eat was a few days ago when I brought pizza over. You gonna talk to me?”
        Antha sighed loudly and glared at him. She was worn-through with the people in her life too. I’m too tired for this shit, she thought. She pushed her plate forward and abandoned her half-eaten slice. He saw her mild protest and his cheeks tinged pink. They silently stared each other down, him chewing as loud as he could manage while she obnoxiously slurped her soda in reply.
        Before they could hash out their issues a patron burst through the front entrance. “Hey—hic—you seen Ant? Where she at? The back?” Tessa was hiccupping and talking all sorts of loud, like she was in a club on a Saturday night. “Oh hey girls!” She pointed at the staff and sashayed herself to the booth; her bedazzled sandals slapping the linoleum like a jackhammer in the quiet place. The front door jingled again and in rushed Zoey.
        “I’m sorry,” she apologized to the front of the house and then chased after Tessa. “I picked her up because she was texting me weird messages—I thought I could calm her down with something to eat.” She explained to the table as she took a seat next to Doug.
        “I already ate today.” Tessa insisted, sliding in next to her sister and almost toppling over a pizza.
        “Oh yeah, what did you have for lunch?” Doug asked, his patience wearing thin.
        “GIN and uh—” she had to think about it but excitedly rebounded, “and uh water ice. Breakfast of champions!” Tessa thought she was quite funny, regardless how everyone else disagreed.
        “How about we have a little slice of pi—” Doug pandered but she wasn’t going to hear any of it.
        “Now who would put sausage on a pizza? Oh, no. I have enough meat in my life—you know what I’m sayin’ Zo—you feel me?” She howled.
        “That’s cute.” Doug’s patience officially went on vacation as of that second. He tore the sausage off some of the pie and then thrust the mangled slice in front of the drunk twin. “There ya’ go, just cheese—And you eat your damn slice too! This has gone on long enough—we’re going to have a barbeque and chill like we always do! It’s Fourth of July this weekend, did you know that?” He directed at the other twin.
        “This white boy’s hollering at you, oh lord…” Tessa cackled; her cheese dripped down the side of the table as she reached for some ice chips from an empty cup. Zoey was mortified and motioned to Antha for help, her friend was out of control.
        “Yeah—well this boy’s about tired of this foolishness! I don’t know all of what’s happened that night, but neither one of you will talk to me about it! Ant you’ve been practically dead, a walking zombie for three weeks—and Tessa, it’s three o’clock in the afternoon, what the hell has gotten into you?”
        “Gin.” She giggled.
        “Hey Katy? Can we get all this to go, with some two liters?” He yelled across the full length of the restaurant.
        Zoey handled the food transport as Doug buckled the twins into his car. He mumbled to himself, “…goddamn vampires my ass…” as he cleared his fogging glasses. Tessa began to mildly complain about the heat when the car stopped at a red light. They all noticed a young man struggling to get into a car at the gas station across the way.
        “Is that José?” She whispered. They witnessed his mother trying to steady him, juggling his crutches and searching for a spot on him that wasn’t bandaged. Adorned in a neck brace, shoulder sling, full posterior elbow splint, and full left leg cast. Poor José appeared like he faced-off with a combine. Doug glared at the girls in his rear-view mirror. The light turned green and not another word was said.
        He parked the Buick under the tree closest to the house and got the girls inside. Zoey did the same and brought the provisions to the shaded porch. It was too hot to do anything other than sit around by the fan or stay in the AC. Tessa went to her room when they got in; she felt awful about what she had seen at the gas station.
        They worked together to set up the tall pedestal fan on the porch, because the porch fan just couldn’t combat Mother Nature alone. They were in the midst of dawdling about when Antha accidentally fell asleep on the porch swing while Doug played the guitar. Zoey elicited his help inside to leave Antha to nap. The two were shocked with the state of things.
        Momma’s house was a frightful mess. They never saw it in its condition before: Dishes with dust, articles of clothing haphazardly dropped, laundry either half started or half done, it was difficult to tell. “Momma would roll over, I swear…” Zoey whispered. They agreed to tidy up while the twins rested, lest Momma rise up and haunt them. That woman was meticulous and was not above coming back from the grave to tell everyone what’s-what.
        As if life had been frozen in time from the month prior. The twin’s incident hit like a meteor and their friends now saw the wreckage. While they hadn’t admitted it out loud, they had stopped living too; obsessed with what happened that night at Hollow House. Grasping for a truth that they couldn’t reach.
        The overloaded dishwasher whined as it cycled and it reminded Doug of seeing José, busted up and struggling. That’s what really happens after a bar-brawl. There’s always a winner and always a loser. He half-heartedly swept the floor and thought to himself: these are the parts they edit from movies. The aftermath. The guns, the glory, the blood all made the cut; but the estranged motions we go through to try and find the thread leading back to our lives doesn’t. These are the quiet moments without answers, like loose ends dangling.
        Zoey crept into the kitchen and signaled for him to follow her to the porch. She had just hung the last load of laundry on the line for the afternoon. They were both beat and sweat through from cleaning. They shimmied the big metal ice bucket to the front, fearing they’d disturb Antha. She was so far gone that an earthquake couldn’t wake her. They popped two well-earned beers and exchanged the bits and pieces of what they learned from the twins over the past few weeks.
        “…that’s crazy, right? Like there’s no way what Tessa told me could be real, right? Did someone roofie their drinks?” Zoey asked him as she tied his wavy hair into a top-knot.
        “I’m just worried that something happened they won’t say, like they’re traumatized—I mean, Zo, I was driving to the bar and I seen them covered in blood on the side of the road. Tessa was screaming in the ER that a vampire attacked her sister—and then Antha all of a sudden, calms her down and explains to the doctors that they were lost in the woods, came upon the bed and breakfast for help, and that a strange man assaulted them there. Said they used a fireplace poker in defense, bloodied him up real good, and they escaped to the main road.” Doug took a swig of beer to recuperate.
        He was getting worked up just relaying the story, “But the cops, they investigated that place and found six bodies—slaughtered—in the basement, two of them the owners. The bodies had been sitting there for days before the twins got to ‘em. I’m scared that maniac’s out there. I mean—I’m scared in my own damn apartment when I think about it. What if they were found in that basement? What if we couldn’t find them?” He shook his head.
        “What can we do for them? Are there groups for people like this, who think they’ve seen something supernatural?” Zoey mused aloud as she pinned her jet-black pixie cut hair out of her face. The two pulled fresh beers out of the ice bucket and vowed to do some research after the weekend. They agreed their first goal was to get the twins fed and cared for.
        They watched the sun set into folds of purple, pink, and orange over the high grass. The heat of the day receded with the light, but the humidity persisted only to remind them that it was an intermission; the threat remained that the summer’s full force would return at tomorrow’s dawn.
        The grasshoppers were summoned as Doug strummed his guitar, not truly playing anything particular. Zoey brought out cards to shuffle, waiting on Tessa to play. The evening began to set in peacefully until a rumble cut through the twilight.
        A huge pickup truck barreled down the long drive and parked in front of the house. Out jumped the infamous Flake. His blond hair contrasted against the lavender sky, budding starlight glinting off his aviator sunglasses, and a tooth pick in the corner of his mouth completed his redneck-chic visage. He swaggered up to the porch and was met with a startled Antha; she had jumped up like a viper at the sound of his wheels. He donned a large patch like bandage over half an eye and his hands were wrapped too.
        “Tessa around?” Franco didn’t even offer small talk which had Antha go straight from just waking up to furious.
        “Not for you.”
“Well, I wanted to check in on her—haven’t been able to call on account of that scuffle at the bar. Them boys got my tires and my phone.”
        “Looks like they got your eye too.” She scoffed.
        “Yep,” he laughed and pulled his sunglasses down to reveal those piercing big blues, “you should see the other guy.”
        “We did.” Her disdain seemed to suck the air out of the whole yard. Franco leaned on the porch banister and pulled a smoke from behind his ear. Her eyes burned so hot on him she could have lit his cigarette.
        “I can see you’re not much for visitors, so I’ll just leave this. If you could give it to Tessa, I’d be mighty grateful.” He handed her a number, but she walked away not even considering it. Zoey jumped up and took the note. “Night ya’ll.” Franco flicked his butt into the yard and made his way back to his truck.
        Long after he left and the noise of his truck faded Antha sat, her arms crossed, on the porch swing. Her friends idled by, every so often glancing in her direction waiting for her to speak her mind. The disgruntled twin couldn’t connect the pieces of her dislike for Franco. It wasn’t as simple as his jeans were too torn, his truck too loud, or his gaze too heavy; it was the fact that she knew nothing about him. No one did. Where did he come from—and where was he going? It didn’t add up to Antha that he was the first hillbilly she ever met without a tan. What working man doesn’t have a farmer’s tan? Finally, after a good twenty-five minutes of contemplation Antha announced, “I need a drink.” With a flutter of Zoey’s sundress, she presented a liter of honey whiskey, lemon wedges, and shot glasses.
        A few shots and some pizza in her stomach, Antha started to feel somewhat whole. The four-hour nap revived her a bit, or least lessened the haze she had been wading through. She could finally take in her surroundings: she was lucky to have her friends. When the mosquitos really started to bite they brought their party inside and relished the cool—and now clean—house. “I don’t know what I’d do without you two, I’m sorry I can’t,” she paused, “I just can’t right now.” Before Antha could work out her sentiment the queen bee descended from her room.
        “That’s it! I have decided!” Tessa announced, thumping down the stairs like a sentinel charge. “I’m going to visit José tomorrow—even though it’s not my fault he got his ass beat, I still think it’s only fair to show love.” She waited, her hands on her hips, for their unyielding approval or preferably a round of applause.
        “Look at you growing a conscious,” was the general consensus of the other three. Tessa saucily tossed her braids as she dusted her shoulders. They all scooted into the kitchen table and fed her dinner. Just like a heart, she had a way of pulsing life into a room. Before they knew it, they were swapping stories like always.
        Tessa was laughing and teasing Doug when she took a shot. She threw her empty glass down on the table as was customary, but when the glass met the table it then clinked as if something had been dropped into it. They all sat forward to see a silvery-gray eye in the bottom.
        “Did you just spit that in there?” Doug’s eyes were wide.
        The twins beheld each other knowingly.
        In the beginning, they initially freaked out over the eyes returning. Now it became a sickening fascination of what they could do to them. The eyes always returned. They burned them, they drowned them, and they threw them away; every time the eyes returned to the twins.
        “I tried to tell you, but you’re not listening,” Antha began, “these eyes are following us. Ever since we killed that thing at Hollow House, we’ve had them.” Doug and Zoey’s faces were pained in disbelief.
        “Here.” Tessa got up roughly and held the eye over the sink. She turned on the garbage disposal and dropped it in; it made a grotesque metal sound and then after a few rotations, crunched like glass. Antha showed the eye that was always in her back pocket and explained she threw it away in a drain across town earlier that day. She threw hers in too, directly into the disposal.
        “Well, how long does it take for them to come back?” Zoey asked.
        “They’re not coming back—this is a trick!” Doug looked like an angry leprechaun with his reddened face and stubble. The twins’ faces didn’t even shift with the accusation.
        “Sometimes its seconds, sometimes hours, or a day. It doesn’t matter, they’ll be back.” Antha confirmed and the twins took their seats at the table. The room became solemn as Tessa popped another round of beers and poured a flight of shots for them all, knowing the liquid courage was needed. Doug jumped up from his seat and began checking under cushions, searching cupboards, and drawers. The girls sat back and waited as he processed.
        He huffed, “…you got back-ups, or hiding ‘em somewhere—I don’t know why you’re playing with me right now…it’s not funny…” But then a loud plop sounded on the kitchen table, like a golf ball dropped from the ceiling. He turned to watch a second oversized marble drop seemingly out of thin air. He returned to the table and gawked at the two eyes sitting in front of the twins. “You got to tell us what happened at Hollow House.” Doug’s voice was hushed as he shakily accepted the whiskey shot from Tessa. In unison they saluted and threw back the shots with beer chasers.
        While the four friends went over the sordid events, in gruesome detail, a mysterious figure watched from the unlit porch window. The uninvited guest crept off through the yard, down the dirt-path driveway, and made a phone call:
        “They got them eyes,” it reported, “I reckon there’ll be a war.”

Can you do a Lydia deetz x reader where y/n is very girly, and she dares Lydia to go out all day in very girly outfits and hair and makeup. But Lydia would only do it if y/n dresses all gothic, and everyone ends up wicked confused ahah?
Lydia and Y/N were the perfect example of opposites attract. The two girls were absolutely opposites. Y/N was a social butterfly that preferred glosses and coordinating pastel outfits.
Lydia preferred one color only: black.
Had it not been for Lydia taking yearbook pictures of the schools musical which Y/N had the pleasure of costuming and doing make up for the two would have never met and gotten together.
The two sat in the library together on a rainy day. Both had forgotten their umbrellas and opted to wait until Lydia’s father would come and pick the two girls up.
“Lydia.”
“Yes?”
“Try-“
“I have no need to try on bubblegum brat lipstick.”
“Come on! You have no problem kissing me with it on.”
“That’s completely different though right?”
“Oh come on Lyds! I bet if you spent a whole day in one of my outfits you would see there’s no problem adding just a splash of color on your life.”
“Only if you wear black for a day and hell freezes over.”
“One of those can be arranged.”
_____________
Charles thought for sure he was caught in a dream at the sight of his daughter as she came down the stairs with not a single piece of black clothing on her body.
Instead she wore a pink plaid dress with a peach sweater cardigan and a pair of bright white shoes where held in one hand and her usual black bag in the other.
And rather than her usual black lipstick she wore a clear pink gloss with a matching eyeshadow and rosy blush across her pale cheeks. her hair was curled rather than in its usual wild state and styled with hairspray that kept the curls from falling.
Even Beetlejuice’s jaw dropped to the floor, literally, and he flew forward to grasp the girls arms.
“Who said it Lyds? Was it that bit-“
“No! A little...experiment is all. Dad, Y/N needs a ride to school she said she’d be here soon if that’s ok.” As she spoke she tied the white tennis shoes ignoring the silent stares of those in the house.
“Of course...sweetie are you sure things are fine? No problems at school?”
“Everything’s fine I swear” Lydia huffed getting off the couch once the doorbell rang. When she opened it the cherry on top that this time made Beeltejuice’s eyes pop out its sockets was Y/N dressed in a black sweater, yellow plaid skirt and ripped black stockings.
Her black lips turned up at her girlfriend while she squealed begging if she could take pictures. Lydia however shook her head with her arms crossed grabbing the giddy girls hand tugging her outside to her fathers car.
“I’m not the only one seeing this right?” Beetlejuice whispered to Delia.
“Maybe it’s that new tea I had shipped” Delia whispered back looking down at her mug.
In the car Charles kept looking back at his daughter and girlfriend thinking the two girls outfits would swap.
“Thanks for the ride Mr.Deetz! My cars still getting worked on at the shop.”
“No problem Y/N you look...very lovely today. Any special occasion?”
“Nope! Just felt like changing things up.”
Charles nodded looking back to the road “it’s definitely the tea.”
 Lydia let out a defeat sigh looking away from the pocket mirror down at her girlfriend.
“I guess bubblegum brat isn’t too bad.”
“See I told you!”
Lydia smirked leaning down to press a loving kiss on her girlfriends lips.
“But I still prefer it on your lips.”

Happy Birthday by sleepingalone
“You wanna use that right now?” he asked incredulously, wondering how horny Louis must be. They had just fucked a few hours ago, before falling asleep. Surely he didn’t want to use it already.
“You said we had to wait till my birthday, and it’s my birthday,” Louis said cheekily, throwing Harry a small grin. Harry groaned into the pillow, burying his head in it.
“But I’m tired, Lou. I need my beauty rest.”
“I already undid the packaging,” Louis whined. “Please, can we just do it real quick? It would really make my day. My birthday,” he added. “You can go to sleep afterwards, Sleeping Beauty.”

Got A Lot You Wanna Show Off Baby by Phillipa19
Louis had been in meetings all day, he should have known that Harry wouldn't be ignored for much longer.
-OR-
Louis is Harry's sugardaddy and his younger boyfriend is definitely not happy being ignored whilst Louis holds meetings in his home office. There may also be Harry in lacy knickers involved.

Harry is frustrated.
It's been almost two years since he and Louis got back together, and nothing has changed. Well, they have changed, and their situation has gotten a lot better, but their sex life? Vanilla. Completely and utterly vanilla.
Harry really thought that after Louis' dirty talk when they got back together, they would get into some kinkier shit, but nope. Louis still makes love to him and calls him sweet names, and that's nice, Harry absolutely loves it, but sometimes, he gets this itch that making love can't scratch.
Or, the one where Harry and Louis try to start a dom/sub BDSM relationship, and nothing goes according to plan.
Worth It All by Teddy1008
He and Louis were both kinky little shits. Of course, they both knew exactly what was going to happen. Hell, they knew some things that would make their grandmothers cry if they heard about them. Harry just didn’t want to acknowledge what was about to happen. Louis only ever used this method when he was feeling particularly mean. Or, when Harry misbehaves, Louis has an absolutely stinging punishment in mind. Pun intended.
Beside Me Like a Silhouette by Domeaspreadsheet
“Quite the ruckus from someone who thought they were coming home to a sleeping household,” Louis says on an exhale of smoke.
Oh. Harry has been set up.
“Well, maybe if I hadn’t thought you were bailing on me I would have tried harder to be quiet,” he huffs.
Louis levels his gaze at him. “Is that so?”
Harry nods.
“Very well. You have fifteen minutes to shower and put in the plug I left on the bathroom counter. No need to dress afterward. When you come back, kneel next to the chair on my right. You may go.”

Louis is stressed. Harry wants to help.
Daddy Came Home by RuinedBy5Guys
“You got yourself off.” He says quietly, his eyes locked on Harry’s. Harry’s face flushes and he tries to cover it, shoving himself towards Louis. He drops to his knees, leaning close between his husbands spread thighs. He puts his hands on his dress pants, carefully feeling the material at his knees.
“How did you know?” He asks quietly. Louis drops his face, grabbing over Harry’s hands with his own. Harry lowers his gaze, staring at the carpet underneath him.
“You were asleep. You always get tired after an orgasm. Not to mention how flushed you are.” He says quietly, raking his eyes over Harry’s body. Harry glances up at him, his actions becoming more clear to him now that Louis was home.
“I’m sorry.” He whispers, dropping his eyes again.
“What was that?” Louis snaps, reaching to bring Harry’s face up again. Harry gulps, shuffling closer on his knees, the joints aching already.
“I’m sorry, Daddy.” Harry says, his green eyes locked on Louis’ blue ones. Louis smiles slightly, stroking his fingers over his husbands cheeks softly.
“Just gonna have to spank you now, aren’t I?”

“You want to be messy, baby? Filled with Daddy’s come? So much that you can barely hold it all in?"
Harry nods softly and Louis leans in to kiss him on the lips with a smile. “Want Daddy to plug you up after? Keep it inside of you all day?"
“Lou,” Harry whines, softly rubbing himself against his boyfriend, biting down on Louis’ bottom lip before he deepens the kiss, sneaking his tongue inside.

It’s after a long two weeks of interviews and non-stop appearances that have got Harry stressed to the limit of yanking his hair out and throwing a fit and crying that Louis shows it to him, walks in the door with a sleek black bag in his left hand and inconspicuous brown one in his right.

Harry rubbed his eye as he let his head settle back into the pillows, breathing in the scent of Louis that enveloped this bed of theirs. Harry loved Louis’ presents, always coming at random times. This time, it had been left on Harry’s nightstand, while Louis slipped out early to write with Liam. The box didn’t feel heavy, was about the size of a shoe box, and wasn’t squirming. Probably not a kitten, Harry thought, placing the box in his lap as he sat up on his elbows. He fit a fingernail under the paper, tearing it easily from the box. He tossed the paper on the floor, just the white glossy cardboard left between himself and his gift.

Hey, everyone! Here’s a story for the @bnhabookclub’s Weekly SFW Prompt, “I think I’m in love with you, and that terrifies me.” I also decided to combine it with a prompt from the Bingo Event, “Scary Movies.” Happy reading!
The tip of Momo’s tongue stuck out from between her glossed lips as she carefully layered the thick nail gel over the little stub of her pinky toe. Once she had covered the small surface with a sheen of the glittering, ruby red polish, she stretched her toes and wiggled them experimentally. There! All done! she thought gleefully and reclined back against the couch. She propped her feet up on the coffee table so they could dry, then looked around to see how the other girls were progressing. Likewise, most of them had finished painting their nails, various colors shining on the clear, manicured surfaces.
“This was a good idea for girls’ night, Tooru!” Ochako hummed as she admired the bubblegum pink polish decorating her fingernails. The invisible girl, traipsing around the sofa with spring green nails seemingly hovering in thin air, giggled happily as she grabbed a throw pillow and hugged it to her chest.
“But of course! You feel like a new woman when you get your nails, hair, and make-up done!” Indeed, the girls had been spending the last several hours down in the common room, doing each other’s make-up and hair. Momo sported a set of bouncy curls; she wasn’t used to having her hair down, so she kept compulsively sweeping the corkscrewed hairs from her face. Tooru climbed over the side of the couch to sit beside Mina, who was waving her hands about to dry to pastel yellow polish that complimented her bright pink skin. “Mina, Mina, did you rent the movie?”
“Sure did!” their classmate responded and carefully plucked a DVD case from the table. “Ta-da! Halloween Slasher 3!” she grinned wildly and flipped the container around to show a masked man brandishing a chainsaw. Momo snickered disbelievingly.
“Oh, no, not another one of your slasher thriller movies!”
“Wahhh! Minaaaaa, you know I don’t like those,” Ochako whimpered and pushed her face into a throw pillow with a keening whine. Mina jumped up and down on the couch cushions, completely ignoring Ochako’s meek protests. The girl hopped up and scampered over to the DVD player to pop the disc in, and the whirring of a chainsaw accented by creepy music blared out of the speakers. Ochako squealed at the grotesque splashing of fake blood on the screen. “Noooooo! Hold me, Kyoka!” Ochako wailed and buried herself into the dark-haired girl’s lap. Kyoka scowled surprisedly as the brunette suddenly snuggled into her, but soothingly stroked her tresses of honey-brown hair.
“Jeez, Ochako, you’re such a fraidy-cat.” Mina whooped ecstatically as she pressed “play” and walked over the couch and coffee table to plop back down beside Tooru. As the introduction began to play, Shoto came strolling out of the kitchen, sipping at a mug of steaming black tea.
“Hello, ladies. Girls’ night?”
“That’s right, Todoroki! Sorry, but you can’t join!” Mina grinned over the back of the couch, winking and sticking her tongue out at him. Shoto chuckled and commented that he would never dream of it, but as he whirled on his heel to return upstairs, Momo spoke up.
“Oh, but I think it’s a little rude not to offer, don’t you?” she fretted, laying a hand against her cheek. “I think we can make an exception, right, girls?” She grimaced a little at a poorly-timed maniacal laugh and scream of chainsaw blades. Shoto peered over his shoulder at her with heterochromatic eyes widened in curiosity. Momo flushed on reflex; Shoto’s gaze was never anything less than intense, with those orbs of piercing blue and stormy gray.
“I don’t care,” Kyoka shrugged, staring idly at the screen with morbid fascination. Ochako just cried pitifully into her lap, causing Kyoka to stroke her back again. “There, there. It’s not real blood, Ochako.”
“Todoroki, do you like scary movies?” Tooru grinned as the red-and-white haired boy approached the arm of the couch on which Momo was seated. The boy glanced at the flickering screen with raised eyebrows.
“I’m indifferent to them. I don’t really find them scary- but I’ll keep you girls company, if you like. It’s not like I have anything better to do,” he responded simply. Momo scooched over a little as he eased himself down onto the couch beside her. The cushion dipped with his weight, making her slide in so that her thigh brushed against his. While Momo blushed fiercely, Shoto only glanced at her out of his peripheral vision. He calmly sipped at his tea, and, still gazing at her, said, “So, you guys did makeovers, did you?”
“That’s right? Don’t I look beauuuuutiful, Todoroki?” Tooru crooned. Shoto couldn’t see anything but the nail polish the invisible girl was sporting, but he still politely agreed. However, when he said it, he was staring intently at Momo. He reached up to tug lightly on one of the curls framing her face.
“Very beautiful,” he smiled slightly. When Momo’s face flared red, he suddenly realized what he was saying and snatched his hand away. Blank-faced, he returned to his tea, but Momo could feel his body stiffen beside her.
“Todoroki, Todoroki!” Mina beamed, draping herself over the arm of the couch to smile giddily at him. “If scary movies don’t scare you, what does?” Shoto blinked and put his hand on his chin thoughtfully.
“Nothing, really.” Momo found it exceptionally odd, but his gaze slid to her again, and his response almost sounded lifeless.
“Aw, come on,” Kyoka whined. Her eyes remained glued to the screen, watching the fake blood fly in arcs as the chainsaw maniac went to town on the innocent and ignorant protagonists. She was avidly listening to the conversation despite her rapt focus. Ochako peeked up from her lap, teary-eyed and white-faced from fright.
“You mean this doesn’t scare you?” she sniffed with a gesture at the television screen. As another burst of homicidal laughter came from the television screen, she screamed and jumped up in Kyoka’s lap to bury her face into the crook of her neck. Kyoka, unfazed, patted Ochako’s head reassuringly.
“Nope,” Shoto quipped and sipped at his tea again. “I don’t find things like this scary.”
“What about bugs? Creeeeeepy crawly bugs?” Mina asked, wiggling her fingers to mimic the spindly legs of a centipede. Shoto shrugged indifferently.
“They’re just bugs.”
“Clowns?!” Tooru gasped with her invisible hands over her mouth, as indicated by her polished nails. Shoto laughed airily.
“Why would I find some goofy guys with big shoes and gaudy make-up frightening?” Mina giggled at his response and returned to the movie, squealing with laughter when a girl bungled over her feet and tripped.
“Bahaha! You moron! Why are you running in those heels?” Shoto chuckled to himself, amused by Mina’s enthusiasm.
The girls continued to interrogate Shoto about his fears, listing every common phobia that they could think of, but he deflected them with cool, focused ease. At some point, he finished his tea and reclined back against the couch with his hands behind his head. As he responded to Tooru’s question concerning whether or not he was frightened by spiders that wear flip-flops, Momo tucked her legs against her body as a slight chill gripped her. It seemed the dormitory’s air conditioner had kicked in, spreading cold air throughout the room. As she shuddered, she unknowingly fell against Shoto’s right arm, making him stop short in the middle of his sentence and glance at her. It took Momo a minute to realize why he was so startled, and when she did, she began spluttering apologies.
“F-forgive me! I trembled a little and lost my balance; I didn’t mean anything by it!” Her friends were watching her with expressions of devious amusement, which made Momo blush all the harder. Shoto’s frosty eyes fixed on her with an unsettling intensity.
“Yaoyorozu… Are you cold?”
“A-a little,” she admitted timidly. He blinked slowly at her, then reached behind them to grab the throw blanket folded over the back of the couch. Momo sat there, electrified, as he calmly unfurled it and draped it over her shoulder, pulling it together just under his chin. When he smiled kindly at her, Momo felt her heart jump right into her throat to choke her with blossoming affection. “T-Todoroki,” she smiled bashfully and looked down at his fingers where they held the blanket shut. She reached up to take the cloth from him, and their fingertips brushed for just the slightest second. Such a simple touch, but it sent electricity shooting up her arm like liquid lightning.
“Better?” Shoto asked quietly. Entranced, Momo nodded without realizing it.
“Better…” Both of them stiffened when someone cleared their throat. Both of their heads whipped to the side to see Mina staring brightly at them with a giddy smile splitting her face.
“Gettin’ chummy, are we?” Shoto and Momo turned identical shades of crimson.
“No!” They exclaimed simultaneously. Mina wiggled her eyebrows suggestively and continued to grin at them as she slunk back from her position on the arm of the couch. Momo retreated into the confines of the blanket, deeply embarrassed, while Shoto grimaced and tried to push himself into the gap between the couch cushions and the frame. Silence settled between them, interrupted only by Mina’s snickers and the grotesque sounds pouring from the television. Eventually, the slasher movie ended, and Mina peeled herself from the couch with a loud yawn.
“Ahh, that was fun! <3 Let’s watch the fourth one next week!”
“You mean there’s more?” Ochako wailed in dismay and looked at the pink girl tearily. “Please! I can’t take it! Can’t we watch a rom-com next week or something?” Mina tsked and waggled her finger at Ochako as she squatted out to remove the disc from the DVD player, then grinned.
“I’m kidding, ‘Chako! Of course we can watch something cute next week.” Ochako exhaled deeply in relief and melted over Kyoka, who was scrolling through her social media feed now that the film had ended. Mina tossed the DVD back onto the coffee table to return to the rental kiosk later and stretched her arms above her head. “Ooooo-kaaaaaay! I’m off to bed, ladies! Girls’ Night Plus Todoroki was fun!” Shoto smiled at Mina.
“Oh, yes, I had a good time.”
One by one, the girls filed out, leaving Momo and Shoto alone. Neither of them made any move to rise from the sofa; they stared dully at the blank black screen. Momo had begun to sweat within the confines of the thick blanket, so she shrugged her arms out of it, letting it cover her legs. The silence deafened her, ringing in her ears, so she broke the silence before she could go insane.
“Todoroki… I’m glad you decided to join us tonight,” she offered lamely, looking up at him. He grunted and continued to gaze levelly at the television, so Momo studied his profile. He really is pretty, she thought absentmindedly as she drank in his sharp jawline and silky two-toned hair and gorgeous heterochromatic eyes. When the blue one flickered to her, she blushed pink, but found herself unable to look away. Slowly, Shoto turned to face her, and retook one of her curls to rub it softly between his thumb and forefinger.
“How could I refuse when such a beautiful girl asks me to join?” Momo laughed nervously, thinking that surely he was teasing, but his expression remained deadly serious. Her spine straightened like a steel rod as his fingers traveled up the crimped length of her hair to brush over her jawline, then traced a path up to her cheekbones until he cupped her cheek. Momo drew in a breath as fireworks exploded through her nerves, painting invisible crackling lines all over her face. “You all wanted to know what I was afraid of.”
“Y-yes…” she murmured and swallowed thickly. Her heart thumped hard in her chest, so loud that she thought surely Shoto could hear it. She shivered slightly as Shoto leaned in close, and her eyelashes fluttered as his warm breath puffed over her face.
“I think I’m in love with you, and that terrifies me.” Momo swallowed again as his expression grew slightly sad. His thumb traced arcs over her cheek in gentle motions. She licked her lips nervously, and then asked, “Why would that scare you?” Shoto smiled warmly, seemingly a little relieved that she hadn’t rejected him outright.
“I;ve never felt so strongly about someone as I do for you… I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m afraid I’ll mess it up.” Momo couldn’t help but snicker a little. Shoto blinked at her, confused. She smiled affectionately and leaned into his touch, raising a hand to cover the one that held her cheek so tenderly.
“You’re doing pretty good so far.” Shoto chuckled. He inhaled deeply, then pressed his forehead to hers, gazing deep into her eyes.
“You’re so beautiful, Momo.” The brazen use of her first name sent butterflies fluttering in her chest, spreading a bubbly giddy feeling finer than any champagne through her body. She smiled sweetly and pressed against him, bumping the tips of their noses slightly. Shoto’s gaze dropped to her lips, shiny with lip gloss, and he worried his bottom lip with his teeth. “Momo… Can I…” He trailed off when he glanced back into her eyes, because his answer swam within the gleaming dark depths of her irises. Slowly, he angled his face, and both their eyes drifted shut as he pressed his mouth to hers in a sweet, titillating kiss. Momo hummed at the foreign but not unwelcome sensation of his lips sliding smoothly over hers in gentle ministrations. While his one hand remained on her cheek, his other trailed up her arm, leaving fireworks behind.
They both sighed in contentment when he pulled away. Momo’s eyelashes fluttered as she came down from the small high, and then she smiled sweetly.
“So? Still afraid?”
“Not as much,” he laughed lightly. “Guess it’s true that it gets better when you face your fears.” Momo giggled, and once more, they grew lost in each other’s gazes. Just as Momo considered kissing him again-
“I KNEW IT!” The two sprang apart with startled yelps as Mina screamed from the entryway/ She was nearly sobbing as she filmed the two of them with her cell phone. “Momo, baby, you’re doing wonderful!”
“Mina!” Momo whined. Shoto had laid himself down on the floor between the couch and the coffee table, and resigned himself to a grim and embarrassing death. “This is what you call an invasion of privacy!”
“Look, when you guys make bedroom eyes in front of us, you relinquish your right to privacy,” the pink girl shrugged. Momo’s face turned that much redder.
“B-b-b-b-bedroom eyes?!”
“Oi!” came Aizawa’s grumpy voice as he opened his bedroom door to glower at them. “It’s almost lights out. Stop screaming and go to bed!” He made to shut the door, then opened it back up and glared shiftily at Mina, who was whistling innocently. “And you- no extortion or blackmail.” As he slammed the door shut, Mina wailed and stamped her foot.
“Booooo! You’re no fun, Mr. Aizawa!”
“What were you going to do with that footage?!” Momo exclaimed as she slapped her hands to her cheeks. Mina stuck out her tongue and giggled deviously.
“You’ll have to find out~!”
“Minaaaaaaa!” Momo howled as the girl skipped off back to her room. Momo flopped onto her belly against the cushions, groaning. “How mortifying…” She had to smile at the girl’s shenanigans- at least they kept things interesting.” Humming, she rolled on her side to run her fingers through Shoto’s hair as he remained face-down on the floor. “You okay?”
“I just want to die. Nothing unusual.” Momo snickered and played with the curling hairs at the base of his neck.
“She’s only teasing. She probably won’t do anything with the video.”
“But she’ll tell everyone and their mother,” he complained as he pushed himself up on his elbows and pouted at her. Momo giggled and cupped his face as he sat up on his knees in front of her.
“Oh, yes, she’ll definitely do that.” There was already a chorus of stomping steps and startled “Whaaaaaaat’s?” floated down from upstairs. Shoto groaned and leaned forward to press his forehead against hers, then smiled amusedly.
“Ah, well. I suppose it can’t be helped.” Momo hummed affirmingly. She wound her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his nose. In response, he grabbed her waist and rubbed little circles into the plush skin there. He then grimaced uncomfortably. “I don’t want to go up there.”
“Shoto, we can’t stay down here.”
“Why not?”
“Because! Come on. You’ve faced one fear; what’s another?” Shoto whined as she rose from the couch, letting the blanket fall from around her body. He remained kneeling on the floor, clinging to the hem of her nightshirt, and she nudged him with her painted toes. “Come on, Shoto. Better get it over with.”
“Fiiiiiiiine,” he grumbled, obediently rising. He remained clinging to the hem of her shirt and pressed his face into her curled hair, nearly smothering himself. “You can do the talking.” Momo snickered and patted his shoulder affectionately.
Who knew Shoto had such a fascinating fear? She thought amusedly as she toted him up the stairs. I would’ve never guessed…
