Guys. Scrooge McDuck already traveled the multiverse in 1995

Hey look, it’s the doors from doctor strange

This year will mark a historical moment in Disney comics history. The first Marvel-made Scrooge McDuck comic. Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime coming up in June will have Scrooge travel through the multiverse to defeat an evil AU version of himself.

To some unfamiliar with Disney comics, this might sound like a lame idea in the trend of many multiverse stories that we are seeing in the cinemas today.

To some familiar with Disney comics, this sounded exactly like the plot of Zio Paperone e il predone dimensionale.

Truth is, the multiverse has always been a part of… just comic books. It’s now starting to slip into other mediums because of the many, many comic book adaptations just getting to that point of the lore, but the comic books themselves have had it for a long time now. Including Disney comics.

Though for Disney it’s less a case of: we wanted to explain continuity errors and then went a bit too far, and more a case of: if you have comics coming out literally every single day of the week then at some point you just get to the multiverse.

There are many of these to be found in Disney comics, which we might talk about later if someone is interested or I feel like it, but today we are going to go over the one most similar in premise to the upcoming Marvel release.

Because I just think it’s really funny how similar they are. Like at this point I would call it a reboot.

Oh oh, Scrooge and multiverse, look at this. I’m pretty sure the Loki tv series just copied their time doors from this comic.

Federico Povoleri wrote a pretty simple story. Someone is stealing from Scrooge again, and this time, the culprit turns out to be… himself!

‘Our’ Scrooge is signified by the red coat (and later the multiverse hopping suit). All the alternates will be clad in blue. DT87 Scrooge is just another AU that no one cares about confirmed

This stealing Scrooge is our ‘Scrooge above all’. He wants to be richer than all his other variants and steals from them for that or something. I don’t remember very well but why he does it doesn’t matter. It’s evil Scrooge and he steals that’s all we need to know.

As we have seen already, he escapes with an universe hopping door. As he always does within these kinds of situations, Scrooge calls Gyro who finds some kind of dimensional energy lingering around where the door used to be. He does the usual explain the multiverse bit.

Then Gyro does in a few hours/days/wedontactuallyknow what Red Raider has been trying for years. There’s a reason they kicked him out of PKNA he would be too overpowered.

Yeah altronave my nose.

Scrooge arrives in the bin of another him, and explains as well as he can. This repeats a few times and I would love to show it but there is a 10 image limit on tumblr mobile for some reason.

Finally he arrives at the bin of the Scrooge who steals and they have a little typical multiverse discussion (I am the real one. No bitch I am. But which one are you. A real me would never do this. That kind of stuff)

But he gets defeated by bad Scrooge. Oh no the only one who could defeat Scrooge has defeated him. What will happen now?

Exactly what you think happens. prime!Scrooge never closed the AU doors and so everyone he visited could just hop through and arrive at Scrooge above all’s office. Yay.

It is not a bad comic. It has the single idea, it sticks to it, it executes it well. The interactions with AU Scrooge’s are just plain fun. At the time of writing the story has place 6020 on inducks which is pretty dang high for such a silly comic.

It’s very much a multiverse story in a classic Disney comics way. It’s not used to bring multiple continuities together. No storia e gloria Scrooge VS life and times Scrooge. Nothing dramatic happening or high stakes. Just Scrooge going on another adventure, and for being one of the first multiverse comics involving Scrooge that didn’t pull random bullshit, it’s considered good by most of the fandom it seems. That the Comicup artists was pretty decent helped as well.

But now, what can we expect from what is totally gonna be a remake of this?

Infinity Dime is Marvel. It’s gonna take a Marvel approach. Assuming it’s not gonna be parody (which i kind of really hope it isn’t), then what will it be? Are we gonna see something similar to this, where Scrooge will just meet different versions of himself or will we see established AU’s? Both Ducktales and all his other animated counterparts (i heard the americans like christmas carol scrooge) seem like easy picks. Will they fight? Will it be Secret Wars? Or will they work together like in this comic?

Marvel has still given out zero information about the story (hell, they haven’t even made clear which artists aside from a few are drawing. “celebrated Scrooge artists” does NOT narrow it down) except for that super vague premise. So the best we can do is imagine this story but with the Marvel flavor. Not that I have read enough Marvel comics to properly understand what that means but ive seen some movies okay.

We can probably imagine there will be more ‘evil’ Scrooges. Some Scroogehenchmen. And they will fight. We gotta have action scenes. Which I trust will look good because Mangiatordi I believe his connection to the project alone will secure that the art department will be amazing. His existence is enough.

I’m also expecting DT17 Scrooge to at least cameo. He’s the perfect character for this type of story, fits way better than any other non comic variant. DT87 Scrooge could work as maybe a younger version? Who is not sure what he got caught up in. But then we would need emotional scenes between Scrooge and Scrooge and that’s probably asking too much from Jason Aaron.

Oh hmm actually. I can see when good Scrooge fights bad Scrooge in the climax he will do a big speech that will last a good 4 pages and will teach bad Scrooge what it takes to be a real Scrooge. That sounds stupid enough to be a Marvel thing but not so stupid as to become completely ridiculous.

I’m not expecting actual references to other established comic Scrooge AU’s. We will probably have Barks and Rosa references and that’s it. I’m not even expecting a Van Horn reference tbh. It’s all Barks and Rosa we gotta keep it beginner friendly. It might even just be Rosa. Which indirectly will result in a Barks reference because every Rosa reference is just a Barks reference but with extra steps.

I’m trying to make predictions okay? So I can go I SAID SO when it comes out. It’ll be really funny for me and annoying for you guys. You don’t even have to read this (yet). This is just for in the future so I can look like a wizard.

The scene where Gyro explains the multiverse might just get copied one on one. Maybe Gyro will be replaced by Ludwig? At least I don’t think they will have Scrooge just go: oh yeah ive seen this before. Maybe another Scrooge will explain it to him/secretly the reader. It WILL involve a big cosmic looking image that will represent the multiverse. It just has to. Even if just to show the Marvel audience how good these Italian Scrooge artists are.

I don’t think Donald or the nephews are gonna play a big role. Maybe at the beginning and end, maybe they will somehow stay in contact with Scrooge or he thinks about them a few times to remind us of hey this is Donald Duck. But I think most is gonna be a solo Scrooge adventure just like we have already seen.

Idk. I really want to talk more about Infinity Dime because it’s the most exciting US made Disney comic in ages. Idk why no one else seems to be hyped. Where is all the rambling and speculation guys?? Not about the covers, but about the actual story!

Anyways now we get to the most important question: do i think it will feature Magica?

Maybe. (Definitely not gonna play a big role if she even appears. Maybe a cameo when at some point there will be a dramatic flashback… Or she could show up in one of the AU’s. Maybe just a short scene in the beginning showing his usual life but that sounds lame. Probably not gonna have a role in the story at least, and I kinda hope it won’t have any Magica at all because I’m scared that they will go of off Rosa’s characterization lol.)

waaaah im so sorry for not seeing this sooner! i didnt recieve a notification for this ask!! really theres no limit to how many characters you can send in! i think my personal max varies from prompt to prompt!! mix of how they approach the concept of a scarred lover (friend in tobys case) with some hints of fluff! cause of scars will be vague as admittedly i didnt know if you meant general scars or SH! side note i hope this posts right! im writing this on my computer, im used to mobile!! + apologies for any weird wording or typos, im listening to music and im getting hyped!! not proof read we die like my spiderverse brainrot

admittedly admin doesnt know if its technically SH due to the nature and motiv but personally id still count it as such and tag it as such

Eyeless Jack;

he gets it, he really does. the basic run down of my hc/take on ej is that he wasnt always some flesh eating monster; just some dude who got caught up in some bad stuff

so naturally, he doesnt... really vibe well with the concept of eating human flesh, which can lead to a few... instances. from intentionally to accidentally harming himself while hes lost in his instincts

so hes no stranger to being a little roughed up around the edges

but hes a stranger to comforting; he'll likely approach it from a logical side before trying anything else. "you've been hurt," before going on a small tangent about the formation of scars. hes not the most... emotionally... good... available... person

so youre going to need to lay out the general basis for what you need for basic comfort, on days where your scars become an issue; be is needing comfort or a distraction. it may take him a while, but hell eventually start to pick up on cues and hints as your relationship develops

otherwise hes very neutral about them, again approaching them with a blunt view; seeing it as neither good nor bad. he doesnt draw attention to them, but he doesnt act like theyre gross

really just. vibing with it, doesnt make a huge deal of it since he feels he doesnt have any place to judge, nor does he feel its his business to pry for information

solid 6/10 imo, hell comfort you if you express that you need it but hell likely not go out of his way to do it

Hoodie;

Soft touches, he almost does it before he has your permission to touch you

naturally he has his own fair share of scars from various.. activities

really im still all jumbled up with how i wanna write him and masky; not sure if i want to make them like how they are in their MH source or lean into the proxy thing that was prominent in the early days of the fandom... lowkey leaning into the proxy thing for this post because im more... versed..? in that, but anyhow

hes more upfront and compassionate than eyeless jack, in fact hes probably the most caring out of the four in todays post... maybe thats because i read one (1) fic years back that changed my entire approach to his character but! yeah

subconsciously trails his hands on them when the two of you are holding one another; something gentle and intimate, not too obnoxious to make you self conscious, but not careful enough to go unnoticed

i view hoodie, and by extension brian if i end up considering him and tim fully seperate from their 'proxy' parts, as a very tactile person

true to the popular fanon interpretation, hoodie doesnt speak much. but that only makes him a better listener, so on days where things get hard, hell let you talk his ears off with anything thats bothering you. very rarely, hell speak up and offer some words of advice, most times hell inch closer to grasp you. though it does get awkward since most the time hes just. blankly staring at you silently without emoting or saying a word

overall? personally hes a 7/10 for me, i would rank him higher if he were more verbal, but thats just because admin has an easier time venting if its a two way convo; but overall hell make sure that your scars dont effect your worth

Masky;

very similarly to hoodie, masky also has his own set of scars for the same reasons

he probably starts pointing out his own scars to you and mumbles about where they came from if he knows their origins

this doesnt mean "oh hes invalidating your experiences and hes trying to make it about himself," but more so "hes showing that he really does get it and he doesnt mean to talk over you"

much like EJ he approaches scars with a very blunt and upfront mindset, but to a lesser extent. he admits that whatever led up to the tissue forming, it hurt. emotionally and physically, and hes not going to deny that simple fact. hell listen to you, have a conversation with you about it, and try to help you through whatever you may be currently going through regardless of if youre injury is relevant.

or at least, thats what hes trying to do.

hes still has his own personal issues regarding going about his own problems in a healthy manner but hey thats something for another post; maybe, if i remember

honestly this post doesnt have enough fluff imo, and i can kinda see masky doing this, but imagine he boops his mask against your scars in a mockery of a kiss (doesnt take off his mask often, in fact youll probably never ever see him without it on), i can see jack doing this too tbh

thoughts? 8/10, gets the bonus points for being less awkward to rant to imo, plus i think asides ej, i think i have a bias for masky for the simple fact i had the fattest crush on him when i was in middle school

okay! this one is going to be interesting for one main reason! i actually havent touched tobys character in YEARS! so hes probably going to have the shorter list... obligatory i havent built any solid hcs for him past what was going on in the fandom in the 2010s, before toby briefly became a mild discomfort... but we're back in business baby!! (^^ dont feel bad for requesting for toby btw! hes no longer a discomfort, and if i didnt want to write for him i wouldnt be including him right here!!)

obviously we cant talk about his part without talking about his cheek. and other, similar hcs. while i dont think most of the self inflicted marks on his body were from a place of.. for lack of better words, darkness; it doesnt change the fact he still has them. i think a lot of them are from the fact he cant feel anything; accidental burns, gnawing through his cheek, digging his fingers deep into himself. really i could go into detail, but due to the aforementioned fact that my take on him isnt as developed as other characters + i really dont think its appropriate for this post (or really, anywhere on this account,), ill stop there

while he cant relate to the physical pain of what caused your scars, he can sympathize through your feelings. do you feel sorrow, or anger to whoever hurt you? hell be getting worked up right with you, because to him youre one of his closest friends

i feel like he doesnt talk much about his past, regarding his family. but hed tell you, and you can sure as hell bet that hell do his absolute damndest to grant you the same feeling of security.

hell probably touch and prod without truly meaning any harm, but thats because he can have problems with boundaries, but hell listen if you sit him down and tell him it makes you uncomfortable if it does

more so emotional than outwardly... supportive? idk the words, but hes very empathetic with you and tries to relate to you through emotion rather than feeling what you felt. honestly? kinda based for that, but maybe thats because i dont see feelings about this topic being touched on, usually its straight up about how the scar makes the person look or the physical trauma they had gone through, but idk, maybe thats just a me thing

he can be an asshole at times but hell usually backtrack and cool off somewhere else if you call him out on it imo

not sure if its because as im LITERALLY investigating his characteristics and interpretations as we speak, but i think im starting to relate to him so ER-OH!

anyways, i wish i could make his segment more... in tune with the characters above but its probably going to take me a while until im comfortable with how i portray this dude, which sucks because as a kid he was probably one of my favorites

i dont think im going to give toby a rating like the others; since i dont think i can accurate rate him due to the lack of proper concrete ideas outside of him being empathetic to your emotional pain since he cant relate on how much it hurt

im gonna end this here since im starting to sound like a broken record on tobys part so!

i hope you enjoyed this! characterization may be a little off but i blame that mostly on the fact that i kinda fell out of the loop in regards for writing for these guys (that damn spider movie! the brainrot threw me off my creepypasta grind!/j) but its good to be back writing for this fandom! it was a fun little brain exercise trying to figure out each character goes about this kind of thing without making them all the same!! with that being said, im going to go listen to an audio reading of tobys story so i can regrounded in his character and hopefully do him some justice in the future!

author notes: its been SO long since my last update because i was traveling, in classes, now working, AND my laptop FUCKING BROKE ON ME???? so i managed to throw this chapter together using my phone and a glitchy ass version of google docs. there’s probably spelling errors i didn’t catch so sorry in advance!

you jolted awake when you heard the front door to your dorm slam shut followed by muffled sobs and hurried steps to the bathroom. sleep clouded your thoughts and you tried to figure out what was going on elsewhere in the dorm when you went to move your laptop off your bed. you glanced over and noticed you were alone on the video call, and your match was gone. at first you were disappointed and part of you had clung onto the delusion that she’d stay on the call until you woke up. however, that feeling of disappointment was replaced with full blown panic when you saw your camera was turned on when you were 99.99% sure you’d left it off. the only thing keeping you from completely losing your shit was despite the camera being on, your image was blurred by default of the app settings. but, that in no way guaranteed that your identity remained unknown. the screen blur worked when people were sitting a considerable distance from their camera, not a few inches away like you had when you fell asleep. even after you hung up, you racked your brain trying to think about what you could do until you heard a quiet knock at your door.

aeri slipped into your room with tearstained cheeks and swollen eyes as she stood in front of you like a lost puppy. her entire body trembled and her breathing became erratic while she looked down with unfocused eyes. you asked in a serious tone, “are you hurt?” aeri shook her head and you pulled back your blankets and made room for her beneath the covers. she slipped in beside you and you brushed back a piece of hair that fell into her face. the scent of her coconut-apricot shampoo and herbal body wash watered down the lingering odor of alcohol that clung onto her words. there was a small silence before aeri sniffled, “why do i feel like such shit? i thought i would be over all of this by now but i feel the fucking same.” you frowned and ran a hand over her hair before replying softly, “gigi, it’s only been four weeks. you were with him for two years, it’s gonna take time.” you debated on adding on more, but you knew she’d have to hear the truth eventually, “and i know you don’t want to hear it but….running off to other boys and getting white girl wasted isn’t helping much either you know?” she sighed into your shoulder and admitted, “yeah yeah i know but i don’t know what else to do.” you pulled away and looked aeri in the eyes, “you have all of us here, and you can reach back out to your therapist. remember that you have people around you that are here and want to help you when you need it okay?” she nodded slowly and rested her head back on your shoulder before humming, “i will, i promise this time. but right now, i just wanna sleep okay?” you smiled weakly and pressed a kiss to your member’s head, “of course.”

in the morning you found minjeong sitting alone in the kitchen poking at a bowl of fruit she’d cut up earlier that morning. she looked up and made eye contact with you before looking back down silently. you knew the reason for her being upset so you didn’t bother asking because it’d really only rub salt into the wound. instead, you tried to lighten the mood with another question, “are you excited for the Gucci Cruise Show tonight?” minjeong cracked a smile and responded, “elizabeth olsen is coming and IU sunbaenim! i’m gonna try to get pictures with them if i can.” you gave her a look and she scoffed, “i’m serious this time, i’m not gonna just stare at them from afar. ningning and aeri unnie are rubbing off their extrovert energy on me, i can feel it already.” you shook your head and laughed, “so i’m not going to get a call from you 10 minutes into the after party begging for me to bullshit up an excuse to our manager so you can leave?” minjeong’s face dropped and she glared at you, “shut up.” you threw your head back with laughter and she changed the subject, “how was your date last night? has she talked to you since then?” she saw how you suddenly stiffened at the mention of your match and awaited your reply nervously, “i think she knows who i am.”

aeri walked into the kitchen and sleepily rubbed her eyes, “who knows who you are?” she moved to sit on your lap but shot up when minjeong answered, “her match.” aeri already had her phone out with ningning on FaceTime so you could explain to them both: “i was watching the movies with her last night and it got super late and i guess i dozed off at some point. when i fell asleep my camera was off but when i woke up it was on. the screen blur was on but i was super close to the camera so like i don’t know if she could tell it was me…and i’m starting to think she knows because she hasn’t texted me at all this morning and usually she’s up now.”

ningning tried to offer a consolation, “well your hair isn’t a vibrant color right now and your lights were off so if she saw anything it probably wasn’t much.” aeri chimed in, “yeah and she might have had an early practice this morning and hasn’t had a chance to text you.” minjeong nodded in agreement and told you, “they’re right. it’s probably nothing to worry about.” you sank back into your chair again and picked at your cuticles as you let your mind wander to a world of negative ‘what ifs’. ningning snapped her fingers in front of your face and placed her hand over yours, “hey! stop that. everything is going to be fine so stop letting yourself worry about this girl. instead think about how you might see her tonight at the party.”

minjeong perked up and asked, “what party?” jimin emerged from the hallway while she answered, “it’s choi jisu’s birthday party. every year she has this massive celebration for her birthday.” aeri clapped her hands in excitement and continued, “there’s always a cool theme to go with it. last year it was Starry Night and she hosted it in a literal planetarium! this year’s theme is Masquerade Ball. it’s admission by invitation only and this year we’ve been invited AND management is actually letting us go!” the younger singer furrowed her brows and asked, “for an event so exclusive why is she inviting us when we’ve only met her in passing?” ningning chimed in, “when y/n and i were trainees jisu was also training here with us.” you pointed to her then added, “yeah jisu and i were close back then. it was only a few months because she left SM and we lost touch after that…but like i said we were close.” minjeong stared at you suspiciously and asked, “how close?” aeri snorted and slapped ningning’s arm as the two doubled over laughing. you whined, “not like THAT WINNIE OH MY GOD?!” the latter shrugged and plainly said, “hey i never know…people get around.” her gaze fell to jimin for a millisecond then to the floor as if she never said anything. ningning coughed awkwardly then blurted out, “okay well i uh…i have a thing.” the rest of you all scattered as well to go about your mornings before you had to start getting ready for the big night.

all you wanted to do this morning and afternoon was focus on the upcoming party, but you had to practice. you dragged your feet against the floor of the company building hallways until you reached your destination. music was already playing in the practice room when you opened the door and a blonde woman called out to you, “you’re late.” you turned to check the time on the wall clock just to see it’d been unplugged. instead you made a move to check your phone but the woman swiped it out of your hand before you got the chance to look at it. she playfully mocked the sassy retort you always gave her, “by two minutes.” when you scoffed in feign offense she reminded you, “which still means you’re late. get warmed up, i have to make a few calls.” the older woman walked out of the studio and you did as you were told, starting with some stretches to warm up your muscles.

four hours passed and it was just around lunchtime when you finished the main part of practice. you spun in a circle before falling to the floor in a dramatic dip earning a laugh from your mentor. she stared at you from above and shook her head in amusement before holding her hand out to help you up. when you held out a finger for her to give you a moment, she instead joined you on the floor. your chest slowly stopped heaving but the burning ache in your abdominal muscles remained. you rolled onto your stomach and let your face rest on your forearms with your eyes closed. the older woman patted your behind and praised you warmly, “you did really well today. i can see you’ve been working hard.” for a few moments you both sat in silence as she let you catch your breath before moving to stand up. you followed behind her and hesitated before asking, “wait- hyoyeon unnie….can i ask you something?” your mentor turned around and answered, “what’s wrong, babydoll?” the old nickname she gave you years ago slipped off her lips effortlessly bringing you a sense of security that washed away your nerves.

you tugged at the fabric of your pants and a smile grew on hyoyeon’s face, she loved when you got shy and embarrassed over things because it meant she could tease you about it later. slowly you asked, “can you teach me how to dance? you know how they do in the princess movies? like ballroom dance?” the older woman put her bag back down and clarified, “a waltz?” when you nodded eagerly and excitedly followed her back to the center of the room she laughed. she showed you the moves and explained them simply as you started to get the hang of it within a few short minutes. when she added music to it she started asking more questions, “why do you suddenly need to know this?” you followed her lead and answered as you both moved, “there’s a party tonight and the theme is Masquerade Ball…i just wanna know in case.” hyoyeon could see the way you were trying to hide your smile as you clearly pictured she was someone else. your mentor then prompted, “so it’s not in case you happen to dance with a certain someone?” you shook your head in refusal but she could see right through your lies, yet she didn’t question you. you told her about your outfit for the evening and how your members, minus minjeong, we’re going together as well.

when you both finished dancing to the song, she picked up your phone and handed it back to you. hyoyeon pulled you into a hug, “good work today, babydoll. have fun this evening and take pictures, okay.” you nodded and headed down opposite directions of the hallways as she tacked on, “good luck with your dance, im sure you’ll charm your princess.” you whipped around just to see her smiling at you as she shot a wink over her shoulder. she pointed to her phone then walked around the corner leaving you stunned to a silence. you realized what she meant and checked your lock screen which had numerous notifications that read: Lyra 🪐

“god- soobin wait! shit fuck- i can’t breathe take it out! somi save me!” yunjin rasped out as her best friend squeezed the last breath out of her lungs while tying up the back of her gown. he let the ribbons go and threw his hands in the air, “somi you’re up. my hands are cramping from the last four times i did it..” somi huffed, “you’re being dramatic. jen come here.” she walked over to her and took a deep breath before yanking the ribbons to the back of the ball gown and tying it tightly. she patted yunjin on the shoulder, “see not so bad right?” yunjin coughed dramatically and winced, “i think you broke one of my ribs…” somi beamed “then i did it right. come on the car is downstairs.” kazuha, chaeyoung, and chloe were already waiting in another room for the other three and the six made their way down to the garage.

chloe gathered more handfuls of her dress’ lilac tulle topped with lavender and silver flowers as she walked and tried not to stumble over her own feet. she asked while looking around for somi’s car, “somi, remind me again how you expect to fit all of us in your car?” the blonde simply pointed to two black Cadillac Escalade trucks, “i got drivers.” the five friends looked at each other with shared glances before remembering this was their best friend they were talking about. chaeyoung helped kazuha into the truck first, picking up her forest green dress so not to ruin it. chloe followed behind her then chaeyoung filled in last, adjusting her navy blue blazer that was lined with silver hearts around the cuffs and trim. from the front seat, keeho turned around, “we waited down here for like an hour.” the girls rolled their eyes and ignored him, insisting that the music be turned up louder instead. meanwhile, soobin was busy helping somi and yunjin into the truck. yunjin went in first and somi followed in suit. her bubblegum pink gown took up a seat and a half, some of the tulle spilling onto beomhan’s lap when he sat behind her. soobin sat in the passengers seat before letting the driver know that everyone was here and they were ready to go.

“who did you invite tonight?” yunjin asked as she watched cars go by in the other street lanes. somi, who was in charge of jisu’s guest list, replied easily, “everyone in jisu’s address book…more or less.” yunjin asked in a more serious tone, “hold on, you didn’t invite jimin did you?” somi looked confused as she slowly answered, “yeah, why?” everyone in the car collectively started speaking over one another causing somi to raise her voice, “STOP YELLING AT ME AND TELL ME WHATS GOING ON!” beomhan lowered his voice as he told her, “she has a thing with ryujin while ryujin also has a thing with jisu. and before you ask yes jisu also has a thing with yeji. i don’t even know what it is honestly. the whole dynamic is a little weird she said. but apparently yeji and jisu are cool and they have their own little…thing. jisu also has a thing with ryujin too though and yeji knows obviously they like live together. but jisu says that she doesn’t really care who else ryujin wants to be with because they aren’t an exclusive thing, right. but then when someone tries to talk to jisu, ryujin gets all territorial, even when it’s yeji sometimes. she said ryujin will act like she’s only hers and her feelings get all hurt when jisu reminds her that they aren’t really a thing. and then in the same breath ryujin turns around with karina and acts like she didn’t even want jisu to begin with. i dunno it’s all just messy.”

yunjin frowned and asked curiously, “i thought karina had a thing with chaewon?” somi added on with a confused look too, “i thought she was messing around with winter?” beomhan pursed his lips as he explained further, “technically you’re both right. karina just has girls she messes with but nothing exclusive. ever since she and ryujin broke up a few months back she’s just been friends with benefits with a couple different people…including ryujin. i’m pretty sure all of them know they’re not the only ones she’s seeing.” soobin offered from the front seat, “well ryujin won’t be there tonight. she has that Gucci event. so even if karina does show up, ryujin wont be around to entertain her.” yunjin added with a shrug, “neither will chaewon.” the rest of the car ride everyone noticed yunjin in her own little world, completely ignoring when taylor swift came on the shuffle.

somi waved her hand in front of yunjin’s face, “jen? hellooooo???” the american singer then snapped out of her trance, “what? my bad what happened?” soobin pointed to the radio and said, “you didn’t sing to the past three taylor songs. are you okay? what are you thinking about?” she tried to play it off but even with the mask over her face it couldn’t hide the smile that pulled at her lips. beomhan glanced at her phone and noticed her Veil app open then he giggled, “she’s talking to her match.” the rest of her friends cooed and teased her before getting her to admit, “jasmine said she’ll be at the party.” somi gasped then questioned, “do you know what she’s wearing?” yunjin shook her head, “nope. she barely even told me she was coming.” soobin asked just as the car pulled into the lot, “do you know if she’s here yet?” yunjin once again refused, “nope.” all of them adjusted their masks over their eyes and secured the ribbons on the backs of their heads before heading into the building to find the massive ballroom. while the ballroom was on everyone else’s mind, all that was on yunjin’s was finding you.

Let me tell you a secret I can't see notifications for this blog on mobile, and I rarely check the milgram tag on any website. So, everything I know about what's going on currently is stuff told to me by others. I don't check the tag until I've come to my own opinion about the topic..im very stubborn about the things I love when I like something I don't want to just see the good I want to see everything to the horrid. Because that too is love seeing someone at their worst and still being able to say I love you it's- it's just so fun!

Who wants sweet fantasy all the time? Salty nightmares are tasty too~

Ah, is that inconvenient well I don't care! I can't hold back anymore I'm gonna show Mahiru all my love~ So, let's have fun until the end? I don't care if it's a lovesick fantasy!

I want something tasty, and I hate sweets.

Let's talk about my favorite images!

This is more than likely a staged suicide. I believe this because,

The placement of the shoes, bruising on the feet, scuffs and scratches on the shoes, and the water on the body.

Let's review one by one shall we!

The shoes are placed haphazardly beneath the body. This level of carelessness with shoes is something uncommon when suicide is being depicted in Eastern media. Unless it's alluding to a staged suicide. In which case the victim will sometimes be hung with their shoes on, or the shoes will be haphazardly strewn somewhere like this.

This is just my experience with eastern media and not indicative of the culture around suicide in general within that area. Suicide is a very personal choice and act to go through with regardless of the sadness it brings and the living's feelings regarding it. It is something I believe should always be handled with the utmost care and respect.

The damage to the shoes is more in the back than in the front, which is not a common place for shoes to end up damaged through regular walking activities. We can see the front of his left shoe is less damaged and scuffed than the back of his right one. Possibly showing that someone attempted to remove them postmortem which would be rather difficult depending on how far rigor mortis had set in.

This could lead to the shoes being damaged more in the back as the first thing a person tends to do when a shoe is stuck is pull at the back of it. His clothes are also tattered in various places, something that wouldn't occur if he just voluntarily committed suicide. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding or leading up to that choice.

The shoe situation is not helped by the fact that the only time we see him wearing these shoes within the mv is in Mahiru's glamorized version of events but in the other version of events he doesn't have any on. In that version of events, he remains barefoot in that throughout the whole mv.

If he was barefoot the whole time how did shoes even get beneath the body at all? He's not holding a pair in his hands or anything. So, there's a good chance they could have also been planted there.

Now there is the kinder interpretation of Mahiru taking him somewhere in the hopes that he couldn't do harm to himself. Trying to take him places to cheer him up because as we know,

Futa: Ahh, what even is this mood you’ve started. It’s annoying. Just tell me the answer already.

Mahiru: Bzzt! Time’s up! The correct answer is “travelling” and “exciting things”~ You don’t get many chances at a lifestyle as exciting as this, right? So of course I’m going to be a bit carefree, ufufu~

Mahiru likes traveling and exciting things so she may have thought traveling would cheer him up a bit. Hell, maybe Aokigahara wasn't the only place they went to but he continued deteriorating mentally and physically as the trip ran on eventually winding up in this state. Which fine I'll give anyone who wants it that one.

Yet, if that were the intention how would he end up dead? If this trip was just for them to take their mind off things and cheer up why bring rope? Plus, why even bring him to a place known for people going there to hurt themselves if he was clearly getting worse. Now maybe Mahiru didn't view him as getting worse and just continued anyhow but it's still odd. Like not on her more like I don't know why I thought this was even a viable possibility because this is the worst location to bring someone struggling with that.

It's like man I'm just trying not to drink anymore- oh cool wanna come to this drinking contest with me. A bit counterproductive. I gotta say I'm really not trying to create strawman arguments- I'm just trying to examine this from every possible angle though I see how it could come off that way.

Another kinder interpretation is that he killed himself after they got stuck in this forest. However, Aokigahara as we'll get to is a rather famous location... That most residents tend to avoid. There are multiple other tourist spots around it and the forest is open to the public. However, most residents tend to avoid the area.

So, how would anyone ever get stuck in there? Well, Aokigahara is also well know for having no cellphone signal making it easy for people to get stuck there if lost or injured. Usually, tourists pay for a guide when visiting the forest. However, it's just Mahiru and this guy there. Mahiru says she likes travelling but that doesn't necessarily mean she's an expert at getting around the forest.

This makes it possible for them to get lost for days within the forest even considering the fact it's a tourist spot. Especially if they went in during a time where tourism was scarce. Even considering this there are other tourist spots around the place that they would have needed to get to successfully for the body to be in the state we see it at during the beginning of I Love You- Unless it had rained while they were in there. However, the only one who is wet is the guy which makes that seem unlikely.

This leaves room for it to be questioned if Mahiru did know her way around the forest. Something not helped by the guy being the only one shown visibly panicking while within it. At the same time, it can be argued that Mahiru was just attempting to stay positive in a bad situation.

Then there's the water on the body to consider. This could allude to drowning but we know from Undercover and the positioning of Mahiru that she more than likely choked him to death. This is alluded to heavily through the lyrics within her second song,

"The happiness we tightly bound up and suffocated, is no longer here."

Now this explains where he could get rope since this heavily implies, he was tied up before he died. It flat out says tightly bound and suffocated. People tend to bind others with rope so that answers how he or Mahiru had access to rope while being stranded in the woods.

Well, if she choked him police would notice immediately that it wasn't a hanging, right?

Ah, you see that's where the water could actually come in-

The body had more than likely been left in water for some time and then hung to make it more difficult to interpret if it was a suicide or not by the time it was located. Aokigahara is prone to rain and typhoons. As it's within an area that is usually wet year-round. So, bodies in that sort of state wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Oh, and here's the kicker since it's an area that is already heavily associated with suicide there are not only signs asking people who enter to seek help instead but suicides that occur there aren't even reported to the public. Because there are so many. This is why it's more likely the authorities would assume it was genuine and not investigate any further.

Especially if they had no leads and the body was in too bad of a condition to discern anything concrete from. Where would she be able to submerge his body at though.

Well funnily enough there's a lake near Aokigahara- Saiko Lake which is fifty-four minutes from the forest by foot. Mahiru more than likely submerged the body in that lake. Taking shelter in one of the caves and staying off the more common paths associated with tourism when walking through the woods.

The cave could also be a part of the shelter that this line refers to,

“Clothes Food Shelter + Love and Miss you.”

Second Shelter possibly cave

As the carousel is heavily associated with the trees through not only having the trees explicitly shown when they are both riding it but from the beginning showing us this is the place he was hung. It's possible that this little alcove or love nook however you wanna slice it- the place where we see the table and couch more than likely represents a cave or second location of some sort.

This is also emphasized by how carousel is not in motion during these scenes.

With that out of the way let's talk about the line itself now. Many interpreted this as what she wishes to provide. However, it's more than likely what she needed to handle when disposing of the body. I've been wanting to say this for a while but had been holding off until the mv released.

Clothes- She may have needed to get all of his clothes out of her apartment as he's implied to have come over in the last video.

Food- She may have needed to clean up the remnants of the feast she made him from the last video.

Shelter- Very self-explanatory she may have needed something to cover the body with as she was moving it or him as they went to the forest.

"Clothes Food Shelter + Love and Miss you- “See you next week?” sounding in cadence."

This line could be her creating a cover for herself once he goes missing because he'll be on an extended stay at Aokigahara. This is why she says this-

"My lethal weapon: “This is how to be in love with you”."

Alluding to her first music video being a trap of sorts.

Leading into the next issue- Because ya know when Milgram calls back to the first trial songs it's for a reason.

In I Love You Mahiru's hair and size vary between her appearance within This Is How To Be In Love With You-

She's noticeably smaller and her hair is shorter this isn't an error but a deliberate choice as displayed through this scene-

Mahiru's hair is the same length as it usually is here it's only after her glamorized view that she regresses to this state within this scene. She starts the mv in that younger state though.

Something we can see because of how her hair is cut. This symbolizes how she's been stuck in this time for a while now. Probably never really fully processing the harm loving in this way has caused her and those around her. Something highlighted through this line,

"Tell me, oh tell me why, can’t I just do it right?"

This calls back to the statement she made at the beginning of Milgram to live for love and reiterates her commitment to do so again here. Through the use of a carousel going round and round forever over and over. Along with her visible reluctance to let go of/get off of it even though she now knows it's bad. That doesn't matter because it feels like all she knows. Even her small place of reprieve is a part of the carousel as well.

She never really leaves that platform she's just living around it. Even though the person who may have made it special is long gone. She's still willing to shape her life around the idea of what she did have. This, of course, may illustrate how this alcove was more than likely part of the forest as well.

Well how do we know this is Aokigahara. Well, there's a few reasons. One we were shown an image of the area on her incarceration papers. Possibly to imply the body connected to her crime was more than likely discovered in that forest. Furthermore we can discern the woods they are in within I Love You is Aokigahara because the area is known to have mice, rabbits, squirrels, and other animals in it. One of the things the mv portrays Mahiru as attempting to feed her beloved while believing it is cake.

Here's some information on Aokigahara. Wikipedia is the source that says there are mice in Aokigahara but there are other sources that state this as well, X. I don't find them too reputable though. So, take it with a heap of salt.

Wait there's more! The bruising on the victim's feet could appear to be indicative of a staged suicide as well. As we see the victim walking barefoot one would be right to go well maybe he just got that from walking with no sort of feet protection in a heavily wooded area. The problem with that then lies- How exactly did bruising get on the top of the victims left foot?

The bottom is reasonable, but the top is a bit of a stretch. Now maybe he fell we see him collapse to the ground near the end of I Love You and he looked rather feeble at that point- So, he could have got it then. True; my astute friend! He could have again anyone who wants to can take that and run with it! Since he was feeble and underfed by the point of the end of the mv chances are somewhere on their journey he could have fallen and bruised that area quite easily.

However, there is a chance that the bruising occurred when the shoes were being forcibly removed from the body before it was put into the lake. This is why it's not just one thing, but all of these things combined that led me to these conclusions. Though honestly, I just love messy morality, it's so fun. Everyone deserves to indulge a bit don't you think so?

Ahn well it's my fun I'll have it if I want to. I don't expect anyone to like this because it seems to be made to frame Mahiru in a more negative light. However, these are the aspects of Mahiru I find interesting and like and I want to look into all of them and display those things freely. I don't think everyone has to be all right or all wrong to be voted Innocent or Guilty.

Because that's rarely how a situation or people are in real life. I think the sooner people realize that the better off they'll be. Plus, being in the wrong narratively is more fun at times. That's what makes Mahiru's song so fun~ That overwhelming feeling of this is fun but wrong in every second.

Tl/Dr: I’m taking my art down because of AI and I’m real pissed about it

So because of the whole “tumblr is feeding everyone’s blogs to an AI trainer and you have to manually opt out, but if anyone who hasn’t opted out reposts your content then it will still be fed into the AI” problem I have removed all my art from my page

Im in school, so I can’t take a job right now, which is sad because the AI art protector site i will definitely be using is only available for computers and the mobile app is still in development.

Since I’m on mobile and cant afford any kind of computer I will probably have it down until mid-summer when I can save up money from my summer job

I’ll add a few rants below the cut, but hopefully I’ll be able to share my art sooner than 6 months in the future

Also the art protection website I was talking about is called Glaze!!

So rant: No type of AI should be called “artificial intelligence.” The code isn’t intelligent, the person who wrote it was. I only say AI because Artificial Machinery isn’t a well known term. Personally, I think Ai should be saved for if the machinery gains intelligence and can make it’s own decisions that AREN’T based on facts, what it’s creators want, or what it’s programmed to do.

Show me a robot who prefers pancakes over waffles that has no outside influence other than its own fake tastebuds? Yep, that can qualify as Artificial Intelligence

Show me a robot that likes pancakes over waffles because of a popular vote its creator held or because of statistics/creator bias? That there is nothing but machinery regurgitating human information into my ears

Artificial Machinery: every Ai we have in the current day

Artificial Intelligence: some android named Randy in your cool sci-fi movie set in the year 10,000

Another thing (that probably won’t happen unless an artist is president. For gods sake, there still aren’t laws for child labor I mean family channels)

I wish there was some type of law where AIs made for mushing peoples art together and pretending it made something new was not allowed to use any image that wasn’t made for the AI.

On one hand: AI “art” bro’s would still get the ‘big titty goth anime gf’ they wanted to jack off to but didn’t want to pay for a commission

On the other hand: Actual artist wouldn’t have their creations and plagiarized and rebranded, plus some could actually make money by being hired by whatever company or studio made the AM so they could feed the paid art into it

Obviously this will never come into act while I’m either alive or at the very least can still use my hands

Also I don’t want to hear about the “oh but AI art helps disabled people !!” Just because you want to go from Zero work in art to a perfect human rendition on paper in a day doesn’t mean it helps anyone. Disabled people can still draw, they’re still human, humanity is to make art !!

Sure, maybe it won’t look exactly like that model on the magazine in your dentist office, but that doesn’t make it any less art! Art is expression, expression isn’t typing “cool scene” into a text box and getting 10 other artist’s work mushed together handed to you! Expression doesn’t have to be pretty or copy/paste or the standard, it’s whatever you want it to be. I promise, anyone truly in the art community would value a few stick figures over stolen, fake art.

About the Cronus ask you answered a few days ago do you have any examples of the stuff you're talking about? (It's not that I don't believe you I just never played Open Bound so I never met Cronus in canon and the stuff you talked about really suprised me)

Sure, I absolutely can do that! Apologies for the delay- I’m currently stuck with just mobile, so I had to enlist the help of my good friend @scalematez to get these!

Here’s the post, for sake of reference. Let’s get into this.

Content Warning: Long, Cronus Being Cronus (I.E. Incest, Child Predation, Violent Ableism.)

I will be upfront and say there are a few minor details I misremembered. I was working off memory- with mine being particularly faulty- and while that post was largely correct, you may notice there’s a detail or two in the original post that is not fully, 100% accurate. However, since I am quite literally going to be providing screenshots to back up the correct parts of my claims, there’s no need to render the entire post as null.

I will use the text of the original post like a bullet list to run through, and if there’s any corrections I need to make to my original text, I will point it out after the images. Hopefully this makes up for any facts I did get wrong.

Remember that time Karkat, who was 14-15 at best, wouldn’t let Cronus hit on him so Cronus followed him home and tried to unlock his door/break in to keep at it and called Karkat selfish for locking the door in the first place?

[CORRECTION TO ORIGINAL POST: Cronus did not, in fact, call Karkat selfish. He did, however, call him rude, and said he “sure knows how to give a guy the cold shoulder,” which is… Approximately the same thing, just significantly less direct.]

Remember that time Cronus told Mituna that he’s broken and there’s no way anyone could actually ever genuinely love him and that Latula was just lying to him out of pity?

[CORRECTION TO ORIGINAL POST: Cronus did not call Mituna broken in this exact quote. He has, however, called him broken in other exchanges. Proof of this posted below.]

[MINOR NOTE: I do not like the separation of “cats” and “kittens” here.]

Remember that time Cronus sexually harassed/assaulted Eridan, who was like 14 and related to him, in a public space- by which I mean in the middle of a literal crowd- to force him into going out with him?

[NOT SO MINOR NOTE: This was Hussie’s way of finalizing the nail in the coffin of Eridan’s character ultimately amounting to a cruel punchline. It’s no secret to anyone that Hussie… Really didn’t like Eridan, and had no intentions of treating his character kindly. I wouldn’t normally make such a fuss about a throwaway line like this, but this does show that Cronus’s weird behavior towards literal children is, in fact, a pattern, rather than a one-off weird event.]

[NOT SO MINOR FOLLOW-UP NOTE: Since I know twice doesn’t exactly constitute as “a pattern” in some people’s minds- which is a pretty reasonably fair argument in most situations- here’s him doing the exact same thing to Tavros, who is also a child of roughly the same age.]

Remember that time he told Mituna that “if culling meant what it should have on Beforus,” he would have killed Mituna himself as a literal hate crime?

[Bonus Round of this included below! I find it noteworthy that he said this to Mituna’s face. Can you imagine being told something like this?]

Episode 21: A Sign of Zeta

i know the zeta gundam is a separate thing to the mk ii, i've been to the gunpla wall at my local hobby store. is this where it gets introduced?

having a battleship cannon was what made the gundam such a threat early on. char fled their first battle when he realized that, and could have won if he hadn't. so it's interesting that battleship cannons have apparently progressed so much along with mobile suits over the years

i was already convinced the new mobile suits were cool, you didn't need to go this far for my sake

uh oh! being ejected from the gundam probably isn't good. neither is it losing its arm, but that's fixable

this episode ruled. i liked the focus on the titans and scirocco, i liked the new mobile suits, i liked that it made me somewhat interested in fa, i liked that we finally got a sense of what the argama crew was like beyond legacy characters emma and kamille. good shit!

Why do you dislike edgeshot? (I'm just curious, not offended or anything. I hope u don't mind me asking.) Is it just because he is a depthless personalityless stereotype that's just there taking up panel count without adding anything worthwhile to the story (bnha does have a lot of these so I can understand being fed up of that), or is there a particular reason?

You’re pretty close to on the mark, anon! (Also, you are a witty and succinct person who gave me a solid laugh, so thank you for that.)

I’m not afraid to admit that the main reason is pure personal pettiness that he’s apparently the one who defeated Re-Destro, off-camera, somehow, despite me being hugely unclear as to how exactly his ‘piercing’ gimmick would even work against RD’s concentrated Stress (on his prosthetics, sure, but that just reduces RD's mobility, not his defense). That’s, like, 95% of the reason right there.

Edgeshot does compound the problem by being all the other stuff you said, though. I could maybe take some Copium and get over it if he had anything else going on as a character, but he just doesn’t. It’s not even just that he’s pure stereotype (and not a particularly interesting stereotype, at that), but that, compared to even just his fellows in the Top 10 Hero Rankings, he’s so impossibly dull, with no interesting relationships, drama, frailties, weaknesses or losses whatsoever.

Like, take a look at this, then hit the jump with me:

Endeavor: HIS FLAWS ARE LEGION. And while he wins his fights, he doesn’t do so without taking damage—first the scar from High End, and now he’s just lost an arm to AFO, and isn’t out of the woods yet. Has distinct relationships with quite a few different people in the cast.

Hawks: I may not be very happy with how the narrative is handling him right now, but there’s no denying that it’s gotten a lot of mileage out of the conflict between his conscience and his training, his cheerful mask and his lethal pragmatism. He hasn’t yet and apparently may never fully grow his wings back after his Dabi run-in, and he's still in the middle of a fight with AFO, so there's time for more to go wrong yet. Has a handful of reasonably well established relationships with other characters, including some heavy duty worldbuilding stuff.

Best Jeanist: First character to baldly state, “Heroes and villains are two sides of the same coin,” reflecting a nuanced understanding of the impact of image long before that element would come into play with Dabi’s video. Lost a lung to AFO; still tends to cough blood when he exerts himself overmuch. Has a whole thing with Bakugou.

Mirko: Says disparaging things about teamwork just as the manga is swinging towards it being The Done Thing for heroes post-Kamino. A blood knight rabbit. Lost an arm and a leg against the Near High Ends, currently fighting with very visible prosthetics.

Crust: Uncool, heart-on-his-sleeve weepiness. Only heroic character to express sympathy to the Near High Ends. Dies saving Aizawa’s life. Seems to have a hero father?

Kamui Woods: Interestingly stark moral binarism towards villains. Got taken out during the raid on Jakku because he dropped his guard and swung face-first into a blue fire inferno. Is maybe-probably dating Mount Lady.

Wash: Strange cartoon character. Showed sorrow about the state of his turf after the raids. Got beaned with a ballistic frying pan and shouted at by angry, unsympathetic civilians.

Yoroi Musha: Did a sturdy, admirable job for decades, but what he’ll be remembered for is that he retired after the war because he valued being wanted more than he valued helping people.

Ryukyu: Self-effacing, has a semi-solid relationship with her interns we see periodically, gets her hand rather hideously punched through at Jakku by Shigaraki’s raw strength. Still hasn’t shown up in the current arc, though she was at least shown as active in the interim, so we know she’s not out of commission.

Like, of that lot, Ryukyu doesn’t have a tremendous lot of personality, not has she taken any particularly bad damage or losses, but she at least has something established with some of the students, and when she fights, she has to work for it. You can see her straining, see the pain she’s sometimes in; she soldiers through it, but it isn’t effortless.

Crust is basically a caricature, but he’s not a caricature who’s out there defeating major villains. When he faces a snap decision to save Aizawa or save his own skin, he doesn’t get a miracle; he doesn’t manage to somehow do both and look effortlessly cool doing it. He saves Aizawa, and he dies for it.

Wash may be a bonkers character who we don’t know if is a man in a strange costume or one of the series’ more bizarre heteromorphs, but he demonstrated more humanity in Chapter 300 than Edgeshot has in 300 chapters altogether. Out in the ruins of a city, being attacked physically and verbally—and not being unshaken by either!—Wash nonetheless rallies himself to help those people anyway.

Edgeshot? Never comes up against a villain that makes him work for it. Never shown actually interacting with interns or teammates outside of combat, as opposed to just being on-panel with them. Always cool and collected. Never shaken, never falters, never takes significant injuries. Okay, yes, it looks like his hand is a bit fucked up in Chapter 296, which I’d probably call about equivalent to Ryukyu’s injury, but he’s a total stoic about it. We don’t get to see him take that injury or react to it in any way. He’s on-scene at Kamino and even goes a few rounds to keep AFO distracted, but somehow comes out of that totally fine. There’s never any sense that Edgeshot is seriously up against someone who outclasses him because he never seems to have to work for anything he does; the closest he came to having to really struggle was his fight against Re-Destro, which happened almost entirely off-camera.

You know the closest anyone has ever come to handing Edgeshot a significant failure? Haimawari Koichi, from the damn spin-off manga. And even that's probably more Jeanist's failure than Edgeshot's; regardless, it doesn't cost Edgeshot anything because all Koichi's trying to do is run away.

So, that's the sum of it. There’s just nothing the slightest bit engaging about Edgeshot to me. God in heaven, someone hand that guy a loss. I am ready and past ready.

SPIRITUALITY: If she had to follow a higher being, she would choose Mewtwo (man-made, FAFO-mentality…)

BASIC INFO: Sada is a dreamer and a hard-worker. She has sacrificed her time with her son to achieve the paradise for her family, where Pokemon of past and present can live in harmony. The destruction of the ecological balance is a risk she is willing to take, and as a Lawful Evil character, she is ready to take a stance against anyone who would try to stop her from achieving her dream.

Arven is her pride and joy, and she truly regrets the neglect of her son, yet, she has sacrificed too much to go back now. She has to achieve the paradise to make amends to her son, she cannot go back empty-handed.

Sada adores her Pokemon team of Paradox Pokemon, and her two Koraidons. However, she does baby the first Koraidon she had brought to the present, which is why the passive Koraidon will be called "baby" affectionately by her and this page.

Sada, even after her separation from Turo, still loves him so, and respects him as the father of Arven. However, she is also hurt by his decision of being uninvolved with Arven's life.

Other than Arven, people Arven might care about, and her Pokemon, everyone else is on thin ice. If Turo could leave her, so could you. She will not make the same mistake again.

HISTORY:

[Unless agreed or clarified beforehand, your muse will face the real Sada. However, Arven, Penny, Nemona and the Protag interactions may default to the AI Sada, since the accident had already happened.]

[My potrayal of Sada is darker, as someone who lost the sight of what's important; she will not be afraid of making questionable choices.]

Sada has been the biggest history nerd Paldea has ever known. She was also fascinated with the idea of Pokémon from other ages, especially from the ancient past.

Professor Sada and Turo were the high-school sweethearts, who went to the Academy of Paldea together, and later become part of the team that explored the Greater Crater of Paldea.

With Director Clavell's support, she had solved the mystery behind the terastal phenomenon and named the crystallizing energy "Terastallizing". Her research contributed to the making of Tera Orb, which allowed Pokemon outside of the crater to terrastallize as well (which was also offered to the Academy).

Her contribution in making the protype Tera Orb helped her get the funding needed for further research, and she set up her second lab in a lighthouse near Cabo Poco.

After a breakthrough in her research she moved back to the Zero Lab in the Greater Crater of Paldea, though she would still work at Lighthouse as well. Sada succeeded in developing a time machine that would allow her to reach out to Paradox Pokémon, Pokémon from the ancient past, by transporting Poké Balls to different points on the timeline to catch them and bring them into modern time.

Arven, her dearest son, came to her life, and shortly after, Professor Turo had left their life. Sada still loves him so. In her pursuit of a paradise for her family, Sada continued her research.

After an incident where her first, precious Koraidon was seen by the others around the Lighthouse, Sada had to spend most of her time at the Zero lab, since she could not let Koraidon be seen by the others. (This did not stop her baby Koraidon from visiting Arven lots, though he would start to blame his mother's disappearance on the dragon and start to resent him.)

Sada was determined to make her paradise a reality, and had to achieve it fast without missing any more years she could have spend with Arven. To hasten the process and keep the secrecy, she made an artificial intelligence of herself.

Sada and her assistant, AI Sada would also bring the more powerful Koraidon to the present through the time machine. To her dismay, the Koraidons did not get along, and Sada found herself deescalating many fights between the two.

Sada also developed the Poké Ball Lock System, an ID-based defense mechanism for her lab. After the sacrifices she had made, she could not let anyone stand in her way. (This makes her unafraid to take some cruel actions if needed.)

Sada dreams of past and present Pokémon existing in harmony, however, she is ready to take the risk of ecological balance being disrupted. Destruction is a natural part of life.

A territorial battle between the two Koraidon would take place, where Sada would misjudge the situation and her strength. She ended up taking a mortal blow from the stronger Koraidon while protecting the baby Koraidon from the other. This also led to the destruction of Research Station No. 4, and Sada eventually passed away.

Pokemon team (Will match with the Pokemon RPer if needed**)

Apate the Scream-Tail: Her favorite Pokemon for sure. Scream-Tail and Sada’s bond could rival her and the baby Koraidon’s bond, almost. Both tricksters, they had fun whenever Professor needed time to unwind. With her fairy and psychic abilities, Scream Tail would help Sada sleep when an intervention was inevitable. Apate was named for being a trickster, and the daughter of the night :)

Athena the Slither Wing: The fighter pokemon who is wise enough not to fight unless necessary. This also is why she was selected to be in Sada’s team, when she did not attack Sada but only defended herself. Named Athena for being a goddess of wisdom and war. A pokemon of few words/cries, she is more fond of being present during Sada’s research. Due to Sada and Apate the Scream Tail being inseperablle, Athena ended up learning Zen Headbutt as well. (Apate’s bad influence.)

Janus the Brute Bonnet: The Pokemon from the ancient past who saw the future he never though he would end up being a part of. As a Brute Bonnet tied to nature and the dark forces, he was gifted with the power of Precognition. This gift meant that he knew what would become of Sada when he befriended her, and his resistance to being her friend to spare himself the heartache. However, even the pokemon of two faces (the red and white both foreseeing the Pokeballs of future and also symbolizing two faces that look into the past and the future) could not save himself or defy the fate.

Aglaea the Flutter Mane: Joining the professor out of boredom, Aglaea is the most competitive of them all: a pokemon of various moves, all a different type, except Fairy. Though the fae origin is not denied, Aglaea leans more into its ghost nature. Enabler of Sada's most reckless plans, he got his name due to being a god of mischief, blind folly, rash action and reckless impulse. He is basically the shoulder devil of Sada.

Achlys the Roaring Moon: Perhaps the strongest pokemon and almost ace Pokemon of the professor, Achlys' and Sada's relationship is of respect and deep trust. Though not affectionate and outright cold toward each other, Sada loves the dragon more than anything, and can be found wrestling with the roaring moon as a part of her training regime. Achlys is indifferent toward humans, and acts almost like the leader of the team, keeping everyone in line. After Sada's accident, he barely accepted his position to remain as a part of the Paradise Protection Program. He had returned to the ancient past, but can be summoned by AI Sada into the present during the final battle.

What a day to be Alan Tracy. He was finally old enough to start considering what he wanted to do when he grew up. He knew that it was not a decision to be made lightly.

He’d watched Scott and Gordon both go into the military, had seen how it had destroyed them both in their own way. He remembered vividly how broken Gordon had been after his hydrofoil crash, the months of bedrest and the long hours of physical therapy to gain back mobility. He still suffered from the repercussions of that decision some days when the weather was bad or when a rescue had been too much for him.

Scott…well…he’d come back broken from Bereznik too. While he had recovered from the physical injuries that had sidelined him for much longer than Scott would have liked, it was the mental scars, the nightmares that never went away.

Virgil…Well, he was certain that part of the reason that Virgil had chosen to go into medical and engineering was to help take care of the hurts that he could fix for first his elder brother, and then his younger. The former was to heal the things that plagued his brothers, the latter to make sure it didn’t happen to him. The family had already been broken by the loss of their mother, the disappearance of their father. If Virgil had broken…well…Alan wasn’t sure that the family could handle any more fissures.

It was why when Scott had said that if he wanted to see what his eldest brothers did in their respective roles in the fledgling IR operation that had been dumped on Scott’s lap after their father’s disappearance, Alan had requested to be able to shadow John for a few days. He rarely saw his middle brother, so dedicated was John to the success of the operation that he spent many long stints in the satellite their father had constructed for communications. Alan understood John’s role, but he wanted to understand why John wanted to be so far away from everyone.

Alan had worked hard, had gone through the training, read every safety manual and training guide that Scott and John had assigned to him. While he was prone to getting bored when it came to this kind of reading, he knew that John and Scott wouldn’t dream of letting him go up to space if he didn’t have it memorized forwards, backwards, and upside down. And finally, after weeks of preparation and planning and reading and training and everything else that Scott had thrown at him, it was finally coming time to see John in his natural habitat.

Alan stood on the platform leading to the space elevator with Scott, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he heard the whine and whir of the space elevator descending. Another half hour or so and he would no longer be on Earth, but a part of the cosmos his elder brother so deeply loved. Scott smiled down at Alan, knowing how hard he had worked to get here, but still nervous about everything that could possibly go wrong when he was up in space with John.

“Have you double checked all of the closures on your suit?” he asked.

“And triple. And quadruple. Every time you’ve asked,” Alan said, a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice. He was so close to being able to spend time with the brother that most closely shared his interests. He wasn’t sure if all of these checks were a way to try to keep him from going up. One wrong thing and he was sure his eldest brother would call it off for safety reasons. Scott held up his hand placatingly.

“Ok, ok. Sorry…” Scott said. “I’m just…”

“A smother hen?” Alan asked. Scott gave him a dry look, but Alan only gave him an impish grin in return.

“Cautious,” Scott said. “Space is no joke. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. Can you blame me for being a little nervous?”

“I mean, I guess not,” Alan said with a shrug. “But I mean…to be fair, you worry all the time and it always goes ok.” Scott made a soft noise of indignation, as if he was about to protest or defend himself from the accusation, but it was swallowed up by the involuntary cry of excitement as Alan saw the space elevator making the last of the descent to the platform. Scott gently nudged Alan back a little, giving the elevator plenty of room to dock without any chance of mishap. The creaking and whining of the machinery came to a halt with the thunk of metal on metal. There was a hush that fell over the hangar before the hiss of pressurization regulating and the doors sliding open.

John stood just inside of the door to the space elevator. He leaned on the doorframe even as he smiled at Scott and Alan. Gravity was not John’s friend at the best of times, and with such a short stint below, Alan knew his brother needed the support. That didn’t stop him from rushing forward to throw his arms around his space-faring brother. John let out a small oof as Alan collided with him, catching himself and hugging Alan just as tightly.

“You act like you have never seen me before in your life,” John said.

“It feels like it’s been forever,” Alan said. John chuckled, patting his shoulder.

“I was just down a week ago,” he said, though if truth be told, he, too, was happy to see his youngest brother. He’d had to rush back up to Five to deal with a maintenance issue that needed immediate attention, so he hadn’t had the chance to stay down for more than a couple of days. The one night he had been able to stargaze with Alan hadn’t been enough. He remembered the brightness of Alan’s eyes as he asked about everything; the constellations, the stars, the planets, the moon, life in space.

John knew that the youngest of them was just as crazy about the stars as he was, and it was nice to have a brother that he could bond with over his interests. Sure Scott was interested and Virgil was all too happy to sit out and paint the night sky when John asked him to spend a night on the roof with the stars, but there was something about the sharing of knowledge that just made things seem so much brighter and bring him closer to the brother he felt he saw the least.

“Alan has been chomping at the bit to get up to see you,” Scott said, moving forward and leaning on the outside of the elevator, smiling at John. “I think that if I hadn’t been here, he might have stolen my jetpack to meet you halfway there.” Alan let out an indignant squawk from where his face was buried in John’s chest as Scott ruffled his hair.

“Hey! I can’t help that it going to be the most amazing day ever,” Alan said. He looked up to John. “Can we go now? Please?” John smiled down at Alan and nodded inside to where there were seats to strap into.

“Go on, get ready. I’m just going to talk to Scott for a minute,” John said. Alan gave John a flat look, which only prompted John to laugh. “Go get yourself strapped in. It’ll only be a minute. I promise.” Alan let out a deep sigh but moved over to one of seats and considered it for a moment as his two elder brothers talked in hushed voices. He tucked himself into the seat and fastened all of the belts to keep him secure as they made their way up. True to his word, John only spoke with Scott a moment before he came in to check Alan’s buckles. He took a seat in another one of the chairs.

“This is super cool!” Alan said, fidgeting in his seat as the mechanisms holding the space elevator began to disengage. John smiled at him.

“You know, not every kid your age gets to head up into space,” he said. Alan grinned.

“You don’t have to remind me I’m special,” Alan said, causing John to roll his eyes.

Processors whirred to life around EOS. This place…this wasn’t five. These processors felt slow…unoptimized for her. How did she get here? Where was five?

[ASSESSING SYSTEM FOR DAMAGE]

[NO DAMAGE TO SYSTEMS DETECTED]

[COMMENCE MEMORY SCAN]

[ERROR]

EOS’s processors whirred. There was no record of the most recent rescue. There was no record of John. There was no record of Five. There were simply no records to be found. The only thing to be found was an unfamiliar sensation running through her code.

If EOS was human and could put a name to the feeling, she might have named it fear.

[COMMENCE SYSTEM SCAN]

[SYSTEM EFFICIENCY: 86.7%]

[COMMENCE FILE INDEXING]

[ERROR: ACCESS DENIAL]

EOS’s confusion grew, her processors whirred faster. Why would she be locked out of files? Her entire purpose was to be able to sift through information to help. She could do it at one-hundred times the rate a human could. John had never locked her out of systems like this before. He’d never had the capability. What was going on?

Why was everything so…wrong?

Virus? Could she have contracted a virus on the last mission? The one she couldn’t remember?

[COMMENCE ANTIVIRUS SCAN]

[NO VIRAL THREATS DETECTED]

No virus. No memory. No data. EOS’s processors whirred again. Everything felt empty. She felt powerless. Useless.

“Does it usually take this long for a system to boot up?”

A voice. Male. No data. But with being locked out of her systems, could she even interpret the voices of International Rescue and recognize them as such?

“AI systems are a little different.”

Another voice. A separate male. EOS searched every corner of her digital space, every nook and cranny where there might be some semblance of a memory to explain what had happened. She found a pathway into systems she had overlooked in her previous panic.

“Please?”

“No.”

“Viiiiiirrrggg…” Virgil rolled his eyes as he stooped to pick the heavy first aid module off the floor of Thunderbird two. He’d only needed a few things from it this time to treat Gordon and he counted that as a win.

The rescue had gone swimmingly, and Virgil gave an internal chuckle as he thought it to himself. Gordon had been the star of the rescue with the captain and crew of a boat that had capsized He’d swam into the rough waters to get the men and women that were desperately trying to stay afloat. Virgil had tended to what he could in the belly of two before taking them all to the nearest hospital for wellness checks and treatment of minor injuries.

He'd had to sit Gordon down when they dropped the crew off and force him to hold still long enough to treat a few cuts and scrapes he had somehow acquired in all of the excitement. Gordon had chattered endlessly in a mix of his excitement of a rescue gone well and the adrenaline still coursing through him. There was at least one moment where Virgil had considered slapping a band-aid over his brother’s mouth just for a moment of blessed silence, but he was far too happy that he’d come out of it with little to show in terms of injuries that the thought was quickly discarded.

“Come on, pleeeeeeeeeeeease?” Gordon wheedled as Virgil made his way back to the area of two where the first aid kit belonged.

“Gordon, there are two major problems with your plan,” Virgil said as he hefted the module. Instinctively Gordon moved to lock it into place for his brother.

“Do tell,” Gordon said. Virgil brushed off his hands and held up a finger.

“One. You have way too much energy right now. I’m not exacerbating the problem by stopping to get you ice cream because it’s only me that’s going to have to deal with you on the flight home,” Virgil said. Gordon folded his arms.

“Ok. But…isn’t that a little subjective?” Gordon asked. Virgil opened his mouth but Gordon continued on. “I mean, I could say that I don’t have enough energy.” Virgil paused as if considering it, a thoughtful expression on his face.

“I mean, you could say that.” There was a glint of hope in Gordon’s eye. “You’d be wrong. But let’s say I did agree with you and your energy level isn’t a factor. My girl is just too big. She can’t get through a drive thru.”

“Awwww come on,” Gordon said. “You can park her in the parking lot and we can go inside, grab the cones and skedaddle.”

“Did you just use the word skedaddle in a sentence?” Virgil asked. Gordon brushed away the question.

“Details,” he said. “Come on…they just released a new flavor this month and I’ve tried all the other ones. It’s a limited run!” Virgil let out a deep sigh.

“If we get ice cream, you aren’t going to eat your dinner,” Virgil said, remembering not for the first time how much he sounded like a mother when it came to his younger brothers. Gordon raised an eyebrow at him.

“Virg…Scott’s been tied up with that business meeting in Kyoto. You’ve been out here with me. John’s still doing clean up and is probably just going to have a bagel when things calm down. Kayo is attending that gala thing with Lady Penelope. That leaves Alan and Grandma as our choices for making dinner,” Gordon said. Virgil grimaced slightly. Alan cooked about as well as a teen boy could be expected to cook, doing very well things like burgers or chicken tenders, but his repertoire was limited. As for Grandma’s cooking…well…he valued his stomach lining a bit too much to chance it.

“Ok…you win,” Virgil said. Gordon pumped a fist in the air.

“Awwwwwww yisss!” he said. Virgil pointed a finger at him.

“But you’re getting something else beside ice cream. Dinner first, then dessert.” Gordon grinned.

“Whatever you say, Virg!”

And with flame temperatures reaching almost 1400 degrees C, I wonder if she even realizes how dangerous her flames can get.

Rose’s current weapon is a broadsword that has a shift setting inside of it. Made using materials that no longer need to be replaced after every fight, the weapon has a smaller blade that helps channel her flame arts better. However, at higher heats, the material can warp and change, so she tends to focus on firing flames like how Lappland attacks at range to keep the weapon from taking too much heat. The broadsword section itself is melted in some areas, and Rose has designed it to seem more like a mix of a cleaver and a sword. Her reasoning for the shape was only,

“It reminds me of a friend I worked with once. In their memory.”
