What I wish S2 of S&L had done

I don't mind Jon's issues ( feeling sidelined, out of place, defenceless and less extraordinary than others in his family) being explored throughout the season, but the communication problems with his parents are getting annoying. I find it interesting, I really do, watching parent failing to see how much their kid is struggling, not understanding them and either not realising that they are giving their child insufficient and/or the wrong kind of support, or them being aware of it and just not knowing what to do or say. But I wish the show had gotten to the heart of that particular problem already, as well most of Jon's other issues. The x-k reveal should have been the turning point in that regard ( I know, I said was done talking about this subject)

Idk if there was some scheduling reasons for Nat and JHI being so absent, but I would have loved more Nat+ kent-lane stuff and Nat+ Sarah bropt.

I wish they would have gone full psychological/conspiracy thriller with Ally. Have her get into everyone's head, like she did with Sam. Make her untouchable bc of her connections and lack of evidence tying her to anything illegal. Use her being a cult leader and having a lot of followers and some of them are very powerful. How far does her influence reach? Who is on her side, and who can be trusted? Have her get useful intel from the DOD bc at least one of her follower works there. Have her show interest (either as herself or through one of her disciples) in the mines. Have Mayor Dean be funded by one of Ally's followers in exchange for something bad, tying mayoral campaign to the main plot and giving it some weight and higher stakes. Have Lois inform Lana of this, bringing her into the main plot in a meaningful way. Have the inverse society helping Dean sabotaging Lana's campaign. Have Ally do MAJOR damage to Lois' reputation. Maybe even have her gaslight Lois or Clark so they start questioning themselves. The paranoia and sense of being trapped in a chess game and you can't see all of your opponent's pieces. Have her hit Clark and Lois where it hurts and test their integrity and intelligence. Maybe have them going after Ally hurt the boys somehow, so they become conflicted. Superman could only do so much, bc without evidence he can't just grab her and take her to the dod or nearest police station and expect her to be arrested and she rarely attacks them physically ( and when she does, it's through someone else and they can't apprehend her bc they can't successfully proof her involvement).

Give Lucy a larger role ( again, her limited appearance could be bc of bts reasons). Let's show her someone determined to help ppl by spreading Ally's message. Not just focus on her as Lois' defiant sister, but as a loving aunt and a wannabe saviour of lost souls who is just trying to find meaning in her life. Maybe have her trying to bring Jon in, bc she sees he is lost, and he agrees, not bc he doesn't believe Ally is a cult leader, bc he wants to spy on the inverse society for his mom. Show her as someone friendly and caring and cool who just wants to be loved and help ppl.

Do something more with Anderson 's team since they brought it up, and the xk stuff beyond Jon's arc+Jordan saving Sam and Lois. Have Tag interact with the boys and Natalie. Have Clark help him with his survivor guilt. Have Jon or Jordan joining the team, or at least helping them out on a mission.

I wish Superman & Lois hadn’t dropped the football plot from season 1. I wanted Jon to still be on the team and to see him playing every now and then, with Clark and the rest of the family supporting him. 

None of his girlfriend subplots were much interesting to me, I want something different!! I gotta say I wasn’t expecting the firefighter thing, but this might be interesting cause it would be a way for him to someday save people even without powers. Sadly the work itself is not something Clark can do with him (maybe like, once) nor teach him about, and not even even cheer him on, like in sports. So yes, it could be a good thing for his future but I still need something that he and Clark can do together...

This is an official announcement Damian Wayne and Jon Kent have broken up. The couple got into and argument over their future a while ago and now have officially split. For those wondering what this means for the throuple (Damian Wayne, Jon Kent, and Iris West II) they are still discussing it. Which those not in the know means either the first reverse harem publicly acknowledged by the Wayne or Ms West will have to chose one. Either way this is be entertaining all of us in Gotham for a while. At least until the joker breaks out again.

Hey. Superman & Lois fandom. Let’s just agree right now that we’re gonna behave. Okay?

When they announce the new actor who’s playing Jonathan, we’re not gonna harass him. We’re not gonna drag him on social media. We’re not gonna whine that he could never hope to replace Elsass and he’s doomed from the start. We’re gonna go in to the new season with an open mind, and even if we miss Elsass and prefer his performance, we can express that opinion without being dicks about it.

I understand not wanting to see someone else in the role, and I know it will be hard to watch someone else playing a character you love. But whoever they find didn’t ask for any of this to happen and will be doing their best. It’s incredibly difficult to step into the shoes left by another actor, and to step into an established cast and family dynamic after two years. We the fandom absolutely cannot make it worse by being assholes.

Just... behave. Please.

I know we only have 2 episodes left of S&L s2, but I hope that the Clark+Jon stuff won’t be dragged into next season. It’s not that I want the resolution of all of this to be done poorly, but I also don’t want to use the last two episodes or s3 talking about this. I am so tired of that arc. I want new problems/arc for Jon. Just have Clois realize the extent of what Jon is going through, what they are doing wrong, apologize and then have them simply do better next season. I know it might underwhelming, but after this going on for about two seasons I am just done with it and I hate that this wasn’t dealt with before the last two episodes of the season, so that it is still an issue. Maybe have Jon decide to merge with Jon-El who realized Ally can’t be trusted, in order to defeat her and everyone trying to stop it, because they don’t want to lose him, and then desperately trying to unmerge them once Ally has been defeated, so Jon can see how much he means to people (his parents). 

I just need Clois to see that

Jon is struggling more with everything that has happened since Martha’s funeral

Jon is feeling overshadowed by all the superspowered, gifted and successful people in his family and promise to help him find “his own thing” (something I think clark was alluding to in the Barn scene in 2x13 when he said they would figure something out for Jon)

Jon doesn’t feel safe, even if his family is there to protect him and promise to give him the means to protect himself, like Killgrave’s gun or something. There is a deleted scene where Lois gave him his own ELT, i don’t know if it being deleted means it isn’t canon. Jon mention in s1 that he has the elt, but he didin’t say his elt, just “the” elt, so it could be Jordan’s, but then again, why would Jon and not Jordan have it?). 

  they have a tendnency to tell Jon things will get better or that they will protect him isn’t enough and makes it look like they don’t care enough about his problems, and promise to offer him more comfort and guidance in the future.

Jon just wanted to protect Candace because she is in a tough spot

I also need them to have a proper discussion about the XK, both him taking it and covering for Candace. I need them to tell Jon what lessons they want him to learn and see if he has learned them so they can simply say: well you served your sentence and learned your lesson. Everything is good now.

All of this could be dealt with in like 2-3 scenes/discussion.
