I wonder if a small aspect of their footsteps...

IS the endings where the two actually venture off toghter..

as in, in a small remaining footstep of theirs, there's an image of the predator and the hunted somehow coexisting, as the hunted searches for prey and the predator listens to his call, achieving a symbiotic relationship.

or like, the thorn path princess. the hero slowly removing the remaining thorns and giving her a soft coat.
