a/n: for the sweet and spice event hosted by @bluexiao and @anantaru! First time participating in an event officially, was pretty fun tbh.

Word count: 900+ (IM SORRY XIAOOO I COULDNT THINK OF HOW TO MAKE IT LONGER SO HIS ISNT AS MUCH AS GANYUS 😭)

Warnings: reader has longer hair on ganyus, because she braids it. Lmk if i missed anything! I'll edit it

Ganyu

ganyu who'd lay on your lap after a lengthy day, wanting your familiar comfort before heading off to rest.

You both watched the birds fly from the mountains, off to who knows where. While ganyu observed one take off, she noticed 2 rare glaze lillies right where the bird was.

"y/n.. Look at those glaze lillies!" Ganyu points out

You look to where she was pointing to "Oh wow! Thats rare in these areas. Cmon, lets take a look."

Ganyu follows your steps to the ancient flower. Once she sat by it, the half-qilin hummed a tune to it. Glaze lillies are known to read human- or immortals hearts. If the atmosphere is happy, the sound of music is lively, the glaze lily will open. If they aren't, and the surrondings are full of negative thoughts, the flower will wither away. It can listen to peoples singing aswell! Which is why ganyu wanted to experiment with it

Her voice was a gentle tone, a tone that calmed your senses. You closed your eyes to focus, and opened them again once she had stopped.

Ganyu touched a petal of the glaze lily, inspecting it to see if there was any effect. "Im not the best at singing, b-but i'd like to know what you thought!"

"It was great ganyu," You put your hand on hers and smiled "Your singing voice is notably clear."

Her cheeks went red after hearing such compliment "Thank you.. Ah! Look at the glaze lily on the left."

Your attention transfered to that flower, and because it listened to ganyu's sining, it bloomed.

"These flowers never fail to amaze me. I've heard that the geo archon is fond of this flower too. Dont you agree?" You say to- wait.

No reply?

"Ganyu?" You turn your head to the blue-haired adeptus behind you, and you didnt notice that she was starting to braid your hair

"Hold on y/n. I got an idea. Stay still while i braid your hair, if you'd let me." She says as she slightly combs your hair with her hands, to make it easier to braid.

"...anddd finished!" She ties the end of the braid "I dont have a mirror with me right now, but theres a clear pond nearby?"

You walk to the pond and look at your braided hair in multiple angles, and back to ganyu

"You're doing so well today ganyu! If i could keep this on until tomorrow i would. But then it would get messy.."

She didnt come up with a proper reply, but instead nodded. Not long after, she picks herself up and slightly shakes your hand, like a signal to get up. So you proceed and go back to the two glaze lilies.

She places her hand on your cheek, picks up the same left glaze lily that bloomed from its stem and puts it on your braid.

"Perfect! But... I have one more request." Ganyu shyly states, then continues

"Sing for me? Could you make the other glaze lily bloom?"

"As you wish."

xiao who'd watch you from afar, not wanting to disturb you. Listening to your quiet hums as you rest by a tree. You both havent seen eachother in awhile, So he was cautious for no reason.

Oh, your body looked so delicate. Your hair reflecting the rays of sunlight that went through the leaves of the said tree, the gentle movements of your hands.. and your lips. Those precious lips. All he wanted to do was to put them right on his.

He comes closer, I mean, its you anyways.

He remembered a time where the both of you used to talk to eachother a lot, and for a long time. "Them just accompanying me used to be a weekly thing.. but y/n had become a bit busy. It wouldnt hurt to approach them again?"

"Xiao. I missed you! What brings you here?" You ask, smiling. You recognize the sound of his footsteps, since you know he'd rather not chat much.

You miss him? "..Greetings, y/n."

Your bored mind thinks "Come here, i'd like to... Hold ur hand..."

"What?" Xiao thinks that something has gotten into you. You werent this direct with words before, right?

You hold your hands together and raise it to him, practically begging "Please~? For the love of rex lapis??"

"Fine."

"Yay!!" You instantly brighten up and playfully hold his hand, then placing your now intertwined hands on the grass. Putting your head on his shoulder, you hum a familiar tune to calm his senses. That gradually turns into you singing softly- with lyrics now. A song inspired by a liyuen legend, the adepti. Which included the person sitting right beside you!

Oh how he adored it. Once you start its like he wants it to never end.

But you felt him shift places "Come again? I couldnt hear properly"

"Sing for me?" He said a bit louder, but could still be considered a whisper to a normal person

"Moreeee?"

"..."

Oh- he doesnt wanna. Better try to change it then? "why am i not as comfortable with him like before? Was it because of the time i was away?" your thoughts were so messy...

"...If you dont want thats alright! I'll sing anyways"

How could you be so understanding? Its almost like you can read right through his mind.

Yet another skin release, yet another disappointing prestige skin, this time for Katarina.

My main gripe with prestige skins when it comes to design is that they're just... boring? And I don't mean that they lack detail or skill, absolutely not, the in-game effects are stunning. But the design details are just stripped away

Let's look at the latest prestige skin, Faerie Court Katarina. First, the base one

I won't get into splashart structure too much, since that is a different topic entirely, but I will mention the colour palette is vastly different from other skins in this line, already distinguishing Katarina as someone in a different position, an outsider even.

Now, for design details. I'll list the ones that stick out to me the most

The blades are very thin, resembling insect wings or some type of mandibles. Insect

In the wing patterns there are eyes, reminiscent of some species of moths, and the wing shape is sharper, again leaning more towards moths instead of the butterflies of other skins

While it is a very fantasy design, the outfit clearly has armored pieces in it, immediately establishing her as a warrior of some sort, albeit distinct from Kalista. Her outfit is light, but protective, maybe less a brawler but more a, you know. Assassin (this is all ignoring the boob window. We all know the deal with boob windows, in a design analysis it may as well not be here)

The shoulder pads have scales and fur. The scales fit in with the general bug theme, while the fur further alludes to moths

A splashart specific design detail - in the art Katarina looks like she's emerging from a cocoon. The butterfly and moth theming is very strong

Now, let's compare that to the prestige version of the skin

Here the colour palette is, of course, changed to fit the prestige style, which is completely fine. The composition is more reminiscent of other prestige skins aswell, which means that Katarina's pose and surroundings don't reflect the theme as well as the base splashart.

And for the details I mentioned above

The blades are now shaped exactly like Katarina's base swords, with the added wing shapes at the handles

The wings are more rounded, and in the spots that had the eyes, there are now holes (which. Why. Cmon)

The armor pieces are all gone, including the shoulder pads with the fur and scales

The outfit has more fragments reminiscent of butterfly wings and flower petals

These changes are not inherently bad. They make for an attractive design. My issue is that the design is boring. Clearly a lot of thought went into the base design, adding many subtle but recognizable visual allusions to moths and insects in general. The prestige skin has nothing of the sort, only having some flaps of fabric that look vaguely wing-like

I think the design philosophy of prestige skins is immensely disappointing. I noticed that trend first with Star Guardian Syndra and Space Groove Nami, who both had those same issues, taking away the pieces of original design that made those designs unique and representative of their skin line

When Riot announced they would be changing the way they treat prestige skins, I was excited to see what they come up with, but honestly? All these prestige skins do is make me appreciate the base ones more

your closest friend sarah cameron is finally back home, to you and to the rest of the pogues along with john b. you never thought you’ll ever be able to see her face again, that thought scared you to depths of your soul and body. but when you and the pogues found the both of them standing dead smack in front of you, the light that was once in your life shined again in that moment.

you were once a kook with sarah, the bestest of friends since you both were itty bitty blooming children. you’ve been by sarah’s side since damn near the beginning and you would always be by her side until you can’t anymore.

now that you and sarah found a home within the pogues, they accepted you both; with lots of trouble at first but you two earned your stripes. as much as you love the pogues tremendously, your heart always lies with sarah and you think it would always be.

you don’t mean to sound like that but sarah is just a bit above them when it comes to the ‘love’ category. and the rest of the pogues absolutely know that by yours and sarah’s actions you both show on a daily basis, especially when you all found her and john b. sarah cameron is the part of you and you were hers, no you, no sarah, no sarah, no you.

it was such a good night. an amazing night, definitely one for the books for sure.

it was no one but your family enjoying each other’s company, having fun, and just having the times of your lives together in the backyard of the chateau. from playing in the hot tub, to you and the girls plus jj dancing to the blaring music that played during the reunion. it was so amazing, you couldn’t or wouldn’t wish for anything else because you were surrounded by genuine happiness for the first time in a long time.

after all of the crazy partying had died down to you all chilling in different spots talking to one another, sarah suddenly glanced at you while john b was talking to pope. you caught the sudden eyes on you immediately and found the pair that were seeking, which was your best friend, sarah. the blonde girl smiled softly at you, placing her red solo cup down beside her to look back up at you.

her hand waving in a forward motion while her head tilted to the side, indicating to follow her. you giggled with a confused look on your face, taking her hand and getting up with the girl. jj had noticed you two getting up and of course called you both out, “what’re two ladies up too”

“bestie time, which happens to be none of your business jj” sarah voices with a laugh, jj hands shooting up in defense. john b had told y’all to have fun and be careful before you both had head off which sarah nodded too and reminded him that the both of you aren’t going far.

once you both got out of sight of the pogues and the beautiful lit up backyard you finally asked sarah your dying question. “sar, where the hell are you taking me!” “just shut up and follow me!” the girl giggles loudly, pulling your arm to her liking while you just follow her every which way through the woods. after a couple of more seconds of jogging, you both made it to a huge flower field with a variety of different bright colored flowers. the sight widening your eyes and making them glow brightly with awe and amazement. you absolutely love flowers.

sarah pulled you in a bit closer, dropping your hands to throw her arms out to show you the field. a quirky “ta-da” leaving her lips, a bright smile itching on her face at your reaction to all of the flowers in front of you. “i-its so beautiful, sarah” you whisper, staring ahead once more before you met the brown orbs of your best friend. “cmon girl, let’s get settled” sarahs hands went back to touch your warm ones and began to once more pull you deeper into the field until she found a good spot to put everything.

she then took the backpack she was carrying on her back off to open it, pulling out some things for you and her. she pulled out a lengthy, fluffy blanket and some plain headbands. you held the headbands in your hands while sarah laid out the blanket on the field of petals. once she was done and sure there weren’t anymore crinkles she motioned you to get settled down on the blanket with her.

sarah pearly whites were blinding as she smiled at you with love and happiness.

“i remember how much you loved flowers when we were little. you would always make me cute flower headbands and find the prettiest flowers for me to wear in my hair. when i was… gone, everytime i spotted a blooming flower while running from the world, i always thought of you. so i remember seeing this field and i just had to show you before anymore shit goes wrong, i also got you something while i was in nassau”

sarah stopped talking momentarily to reach in the pockets of her backpack, pulling her hand out and revealing a beautiful, gold necklace that had an alstroemeria flower charm dangling on it. the sight making you tear up, a little giggle leaving you while you tried to fan the incoming tears away from your eyes. sarah laughed a teary giggle as well before placing the jewelry in your hand, her fingers clinging to yours. locking both of your hands together.

“a awesome girl i met named cleo helped me with it, the flower symbolizing friendship. i knew i had to get it for you” she finished her words with a bunny like smile, cooing with defeat when she saw a tear drop from your eyes.

“ohh noo, don’t cry baby” sarah whined while holding her own happy tears, her fingers coming up to swipe at the bottom of your eyes. wiping the moisture away while moving your curls away and out from your face. “i love you so much, sarah. you’re such a caring person and an incredible friend anyone could want, i will forever be grateful for you. thank you so much for being in my life” you finished with a smile of your own, sarah immediately pulling you into a heart-clenching hug.

her arms clinging onto you tightly, yours just squeezing her with the same amount of tightness. the both of you rocking back and forth as you both embraced eachother. you pulled back from sarah with a laugh and a grin, “i think you would look even more beautiful with a flower crown on your head, don’t you think?”

sarah chuckled, a her head moving up and down in a nod of conformation. “lets do it”

a/n: hi guys 0.0 sorry for like dying on y’all, college was ROUGH but I’m on break now !! so I’ll try to be more active hehe i hope you guys enjoy! I’m getting they some requests and I’ll post them later i just rlly wanted to get dis one out there hehe also this was way longer than i expected it to be uhm

you smiled at the small succulent in the passenger seat, “okay, i may have gotten you on a whim, but i will not let you die on me, you will be my new daughter” you nodded your head confidently as you grabbed the other groceries, balancing a small succulent in one hand.

“Buck? I’m home!” You stated, hurrying to set everything down and softly plancing the plant on the counter. You smiled brightly at it before turning on your heel to find Bucky.

“I’ll help in a bit i just need to find something” he spoke, you headed toward the room, finding him looking around helplessly, “what are you looking for?” You questioned, sitting on the bed and laughing as he tore apart the room.

“i remembered i had this t shirt i really liked and now i can’t find it anywhere, i looked through all my cabinets and it’s nowhere in sight” he huffed and you smiled.

“did you check my closet?” you quipped and he furrowed his brows, mumbling as he looked through your shirts before pulling out a black long sleeve, he smiled as he held it close to his chest.

“how did you even get this? You didn’t go through my drawers did you?” he worried, something flashing in his eyes, but it was gone before you could notice. He quickly grabbed it and put it on, kissing you on the cheek as he walked out the door, “no i didn’t and plus you barely used it so i stole it” you shrugged.

“okay now that you have your shirt, you are legally not allowed to be mad at me” you began, running infront of him and blocking the plant from his view.

“y/n, doll please tell me you didn’t get a cat” he sighed and you shook your head, “no, however i was thinking about it” you mentioned, a smile on your face as he rolled his eyes at you.

“i present to you, our new child!” you cheered, presenting the succulent and shoving it into his face. Bucky furrowed his brows and processed the information, the small green plant staring him right in the face. “It was on sale at the grocery store and i thought why not give house plants another shot! It’s not like we’re out doing much nowadays” you smiled, patting the plant gently before setting it down once again and going to fix the other groceries.

“y/n last time you gave house plants a shot you killed all six of them” he sighed and you threw a roll of paper towels at him, of course he caught it and threw it back, effectively hitting you on the back of the head.

“things are different now, maybe i have a green thumb this year” you smiled, happily putting everything away and setting the plant by the window.

Bucky saw the joy in your eyes as you watched the small plant grow, you even texted the whole team about the new member of the barnes and y/l/l household. You had spent hours at a time researching the best ways to grow and care for succulents and yet, one week later bucky noticed the small plant (which you had dubbed ‘Brenda’) had began to wilt.

He stared at brenda, debatin on letting her just die and prove a point that gardening was not your strong suit, but then he thought about how crushed you would be, coming home and finding the dead succulent. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, watering the plant and going out the buy some things to help it get more nutrients.

Within days Brenda was healthier than ever, growing rapidly and a beautiful dark green color. You quickly noticed and teased Bucky for not believing in you.

“I told you! she is so beautiful look at her! they grow up so fast don’t they” you wiped a fake tear and Bucky laughed rolling his eyes and focusing back on the show the two of you were watching. “I think it’s time for the next step” you smiled, his eyes widened as you finished your sentence, “another plant!”

So weeks passed and within a couple months you had all kinds of house plants, every windowsill covered with green and even some hanging from the ceiling, vines wrapping around lamps and even flowers in the patio, you even got bold and bought an orchid (which was doing amazing you may add).

While you watered them regularly, Bucky had to go above and beyond to care for the absurd amount of plants you now had. He would water them individually (by now he knew how much water each plant needed and what days to water them) and even added fertilizer to their soil, buying all kinds of things to keep them healthy and to stop them from wilting. Your most recent purchase, olive the orchid, had been the toughest to care for yet. Bucky had to watch tons of videos on orchid care to stop it from dying within the fire few days.

It took him a while to go through his routine while you were at work, you never caught wind of his meddling and you continued to believe that you had the greenest thumb in the world, Bucky happily going along with it, he couldn’t bare to see your soul crushed if you realized they would’ve died had they been in your care.

You and Bucky were laying in bed watching a movie when he got a phone call from Sam, telling him they had a mission, Bucky was both suprised and nervous considering there had been almost nothing going on lately and he would have the leave all the plants alone with you.

“I can always tell Sam i can’t go you know that doll” Bucky protested as the night progressed, you sighed and curled more into his side, pulling the blanket into you more, “I’ll be fine James, and plus i have all of our plants to keep me company” you smiled brightly and he felt his heart swell.

He wanted nothing more then to tell Sam to shove it so he can stay home and care for all your plants to keep that adorable smile on your face, but of course he couldn’t.

“I’m gonna be gone two weeks are you sure you can handle it?” Bucky asked once again, one foot out the door before turning around again, “yes bucky i know where everything for the plants is, plus I’ve kept them looking good for this long, two weeks is nothing” you smirked, punching his shoulder as he smiled at you.

He chuckled softly and nodded his head, kissing your forehead and saying goodbye, he also said goodbye to all the plants, knowing they would be gone by the time he came back. He did however have a shred of hope that they would be able to hold on just until he got back, to nurse them back to health.

You closed the door and sighed, the house feeling empty without Bucky, but then you looked to your right and saw Brenda, you smiled and put on your favorite show, cuddling up on the couch and sighing. You could keep your plants alive for two weeks, you had done it for months on your own.

Sam put the quinjet in autopilot after setting the route and sat across from Bucky. “So why didn’t you wanna come, getting used to the domestic life?” He joked and Bucky rolled his eyes. “Cmon I’m joking losen up” he laughed, throwing a peanut at him and Bucky broke into a smile as he caught it in his mouth.

“y/n and i got a bunch of plants right” he began and Sam nodded, “yeah i know she sends up pictures like all the time,” Bucky laughed and continued, “but she sucks at keeping them alive, so I’ve been taking care of them when she isn’t home and keeping them alive” Bucky spoke, a smile on his face as he realized how ridiculous this was.

“she doesn’t know you’ve been taking care of them does she” Sam questioned and Bucky shook his head, he bit his lip to stop his smile as Sam broke into a fit of laughter. “Oh my god they’re all gonna die on her like last year aren’t they” he spoke between laughs and Bucky nodded, his heart hurting as he thought of your face when the plants began to wilt and you couldn’t stop them.

“i just feel bad because he cares about them so much, but she just is actually incapable of caring for them, i mean she killed a cactus! even after doing everything she was supposed to!” Bucky laughed, wanting nothing more than to go home and hold you, and kiss you on the cheek.

“I can’t believe she can do basically everything but care for plants” Sam spoke and Bucky sighed, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.

As time passed your plants began to wilt, first was the orchid, a petal had fallen and it was now slumped over. Then was the ones hanging from the ceiling, the leaves all drooping and and even starting to dry up after the first week.

And then your succulents, you had been watering them way too much and essentially drowned them, and you accidentally killed your cacti by not em giving them enough water.

Of course with each plant death on your end, Bucky received the news through your daily calls. He felt so bad for you, comforting you every night and wishing he could kiss you and make you feel better. “Don’t worry doll I’ll be there in a couple days” he would say and you nodded, “maybe they just miss you” you giggled and he smiled, “maybe.”

By the time bucky got home, all the plants were basically dead, and you had thrown out half them before Bucky could even say goodbye.

“Sweets? I’m home!” Bucky smiled, setting everything down and closing the door, turning around to see you throwing out yet another plant before your face lit up and you jumped on him.

“i missed you so much james” you laughed as he picked you up, holding you tightly as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck.

“i missed you so much more doll” he whispered a smile on his face as you placed a kiss ontop of his head. He set you down gently on the couch and you immediately pulled him down with you, cuddling into his side and closing your eyes as you listened to his heartbeat.

“okay doll, please don’t get mad at me but i can’t hide this any longer” he spoke suddenly, getting up from the couch and moving infront of you. Your heart dropped and you felt dizzy, “what?” Your mind was racing, thinking of what the hell he could be hiding from you.

“okay it started off because i didn’t want to hurt you okay, i didn’t want to crush your spirit because you looked so happy and god i didn’t want to take that away from you, but then you went and got more and i couldn’t tell you then because i was in too deep and-“ you cut him off before he could continue.

“Barnes just spit it out!” You groaned, brows furrowed and a scowl on your face as he rambled.

“I took care of the plants!” He rushed out, letting out a sigh and putting his head in your lap. “I took care of Brenda when she started to wilt because i saw how happy you were taking care of her” he mumbled, looking up to see your confused expression.

“but my other plants i took care of those” you shook your head, and he scrunched his face up. “I took care of those too, i kept them all alive and cared for them so that you could think you were doing it, i wanted you to be happy as a plant mom, i knew how bad you felt last year” he spoke, looking up at you and searching you face for your reaction.

“that why they all died after you left, because you kept them alive” you whispered, finally putting the pieces together. Everything made so much more sense now, from you catching him moving the plants around and him buying fertilizer, you realized now it’s because while you were gone, he was taking care of the plants.

“You didn’t even tell me after i bought like 10 more” you smiled and he let out a breath after he realized you weren’t upset. “I just wanted to see you happy” he giggled and your heart fluttered, you ran your fingers through his hair and he closed his eyes.

“so you aren’t mad?” you laughed at the question, confusing him, and suddenly he was terrified because if you were mad at him he doesn’t know how he would make it up to you.

“how could i be mad at you baby, you spent hours on end taking care of plants that you didn’t care about just so i could be happy thinking i had a green thumb” you smiled, kissing his forehead and letting out a sigh, “if anything i should propose to you for caring for me that much.” Bucky smiled at you and gave you a quick kiss on the lips.

“i would marry you in a heartbeat doll face” he whispered, sitting back down next to you on the couch, “even if that meant taking care of an absurd amount of plants for me?” You teased and he rolled his eyes.

“as long as they aren’t orchids, that one was a pain in the ass” he laughed and you slapped his chest lightly, “i loved olive!” you argued and he shoved you softly, “you didn’t have to watch hours of videos to keep olive alive!” He shot back and you huffed, accepting defeat and setting your head on his chest as the tv played in the background.

After a couple moments of silence you smiled, realizing the trouble he must��ve gone through just so you could be happy over some plants. “I wasn’t joke when i said i would marry you y’know” you whispered, and Bucky blushed, kissing the top of your head.

“I know doll, and neither was i” he smiled as he saw your face flush, and suddenly all he could think of was the small velvet box he had hidden away in his t shirt drawer.

"we're sorry!" the three boys exclaimed

"why are you sorry?" she asked in confusion as she stared down at them with furrowed brows "it wasn't your faults, oikawa-san, matsukawa-kun and hanamaki-kun." she reassured them "and you've been apologising the whole day.. its not like you need to anyways" 

"no, we still feel guilty" hanamaki chuckled "since it was our idea in the first place"

"well i was the one who skated so its fine. you don't need to apologise" she smiled at them

"but you're so sad!" oikawa groaned out dramatically "you look so heartbroken!" 

"im really not" she sweatdropped

"will you forgive us if we kneel down?" they asked "we already are, just in case!" y/n sweat dropped as she peered down at their grovelling forms and shook her head. "please don't kneel for me" she said

"its fine. i think i'll manage a few days without it" she said

"so why's your eyes all puffy?" iwaizumi deadpanned

"i cried" she replied with a straight face

"i see." iwaizumi hummed.

"hey, y/n-senpai!" kindaichi called out from the gym. "i think this is yours!" she looked up at him with a look of confusion ran over to where he stood. "what is it?" she asked 

"its your skateboard." kindaichi replied "it's in the gym for some reason" he said. y/n's eyes sparkled as she picked it up and hugged it to her chest. "wow! did you get it back?" she asked him 

"ah no.. it was just there when we entered the gym. kunimi found it" he said as he pointed towards kunimi who was too busy looking at his phone 

"thank you!" she beamed at them 

"no problem. maybe the teacher decided to give it back" he said 

she grinned and happily inspected it for damage just in case. though her smile quickly fell as her eyes trained themselves on a card plastered across the snow monster design's face. she plucked it off and wearily read over the neat letters written in gold ink. 

"you'll need this for later.. " she read with furrowed brows

she flipped the card over and paled as she saw the name that was signed. "love, adam" she shuddered 

"who's adam?" oikawa asked as he peered over her shoulder to read the card 

"um. he's-" she was cut off by the gym lights suddenly shutting off, causing her to jump in surprise. "what happened?" she asked oikawa, who shrugged in response and held her closer to him 

"my eve~" a voice cooed, accompanied by what seems like a sigh of delight and pleasure

she shivered and subconsciously backed up into oikawa's chest as she recognized the voice. "hey, what's wrong? you know that creep?" oikawa asked with a frown 

"its adam." she said 

everyone watched in confusion as the mysterious man entered the gym in an unnecessarily dramatic way. a red carpet rolled from the outside until the spot where y/n stood, and the gym lights turned on but were dimmed. 

"i hope you like my little gift" adam cooed as he skated towards her with a grin "you'll need i for what i have in store, as stated in my letter" he said 

y/n didn't answer but simply looked at him with a grimace, silently praying to whatever god out there that he just trips and dies or something. 

"though i have another gift for you, SNOW" he cooed as he came to a halt before her. adam grinned as he pulled out a huge bouquet of roses "these flowers are red, which symbolise one thing.." he said

"passionate love" adam cooed as he held it before her, making the petals fly around and making her hair sway. 

oikawa blinked once, and twice. he looked at the masked man in both fear and ick. just who the hell as he, anyways? "hey-what the?! aren't you like thirty?!" oikawa accidentally blurted out as he pulled y/n away 

adam simply ignored the brunette and kept his eyes trained on the girl. he waited patiently for her to accept the flowers. 

y/n pursed her lips and reluctantly took it from him. "thanks." she said. 

"you're accepting that??" oikawa groaned out as he looked at her in dread and confusion. 

she shrugged and gently placed the bouquet on a random bench. "adam--" she cut herself off with a squeak as she felt his hands gently grip her waist and pull her closer 

"come to this location i picked out." he whispered into her ear as he handed her another card. y/n stiffly nodded and quickly snatched the card from him, wanting nothing more than to get out of that situation.

"amazing!" adam exclaimed as he, finally, pulled away from her. "you never fail to entertain me, SNOW." he grinned "i knew coming here will be worth my while" he chuckled. 

"ah. right.." she muttered as she looked at him weirdly "wait, did you follow me?" she asked with a raised brow as the realisation finally dawned upon her. 

"other factors do not matter, my eve" adam mused as he took her hand in his and grabbed her hip with his other. "meet me later and let us dance like old times, okay?" he cooed with a smirk 

she looked away in discomfort and reluctantly nodded her head. "right.." she mumbled 

the boys, who were standing right there to witness the whole thing, looked at each other with a look that embodied the term 'what the fuck' and mentally agreed to step up and help her. 

"excuse me." iwaizumi cleared his throat, making adam side eye him with a look of disinterest 

"who are you and what are you doing with y/n?" he asked as he placed his hand on y/n's shoulder to try and pull her free from his grasp. "let go" oikawa said with a scowl as he pried adam's hands off her

"who are these nuisances, my eve?" adam asked her as he completely ignored their presence. "i thought i've already gotten rid of that redhead, and yet new names will be added into the list" adam hummed with a smile 

y/n gulped as she took note of the faint hostility behind his tone. "they're my friends." she said as she backed away from him and into oikawa’s arms once again 

"i'll meet you for a beef later but that's all" she said as she turned away from him "after that, please leave, adam." she requested with a sigh as she picked up the bouquet and her bag 

she gathered the boys and pushed them all out of the gym, quickly ushering them to run off along with her. she looked back one last time, only to be met with adam's eyes which seemed to be comically glowing red under his mask, paired with a grin 

she gulped and set him a curt nod. "bye" she said 

"goodbye, my eve" adam cooed as he watched her run off to the boys 

"hey hey! what the hell was that?!" oikawa exclaimed as he hugged y/n tightly in his arms "that creepy mask man came out of nowhere!" he said "and why'd he start touching you?" 

"yeah, who was that?" iwaizumi asked her

"his name is adam, or atleast that's what we call him" she replied "he's just like that, don't mind him" 

"uh no, i think i'm gonna mind him, thanks very much" oikawa scoffed "what did you mean when you asked if he followed you?" he asked with furrowed brows 

"oh.. well there's no other way he would've known i was here" she replied as she leaned back against his chest 

"also, oikawa-san.." she trailed off

"yeah?" he hummed 

"why are you still holding me?" 

oikawa blinked and slowly retracted his arms with a hint of reluctance. "haha, sorry" he chuckled 

"why does he call you eve?" matsukawa sweat dropped. "it has something to do with his name. adam, and eve.. like lovers" she answered with a look of distaste 

"..." 

iwaizumi let out a sigh before pulling out his phone and dialling a number. "im calling the police." he said 

"ah, don't do that" she waved her hands dismissively "i don't think that'll do much anyways" 

"well, he's clearly sick in the head so maybe they'll take him somewhere else other than jail" matsukawa mused. "ya know.." hanamaki chimed in "like the psych ward or something" 

"well when you put it like that.." y/n sweat dropped 

oikawa had a frown on his lips as they chatted. he wasn't joining in like he usually would, and was simply thinking to himself. y/n side eyed him and nudged him with her shoulder. "would you like to have dinner together, oikawa-san?" she asked him 

oikawa's eyes widened as his head instantly snapped over to hers "what?!" he spluttered "did you just ask me out?" 

"... i asked if you wanted to have dinner" she said 

oikawa bit back his tongue as he yearned to say 'that's the same thing!' but fought against it. "ah, sure!" he agreed with a grin. she smiled back and nodded. "great. i needed to stop thinking about adam" she said 

"also, will you guys come with me later?" she asked them 

the boys raised laughed and immediately nodded. "well, i was going to tell you not to go but.. i guess it'll be fine with us there" iwaizumi said. "yeah. if that dude does something sketchy, i'll seriously call 911" hanamaki laughed 

"oh, you can't." she said. "or else you and i will get involved. the skating i do isnt really appreciated by legal forces." she chuckled nervously 

"what?" 

"its kind of illegal." 

"...y/n.." iwaizumi trailed off with a sigh. 

"no way?! cool!" oikawa exclaimed as he gave her a high five. "it is, isn't it?!" she grinned as she and oikawa laughed together 

"jesus christ." iwaizumi deadpanned 

"that dinner was great!" she grinned as she sent oikawa a thumbs up 

"ah you're right.." he agreed with a meek laugh. "though it would've been better without them." he muttered as he sent the iwaizumi, maki, and mattsun a glare 

"oh cmon captain!" hanamaki mused "you love us!" he laughed. "no i don't" oikawa huffed and crossed his arms. 

"well, i love you guys" y/n interjected with an innocent smile

oikawa jumped and hastily waved his arms about. "no! no you don't!" he exclaimed. "why.. why not?" she sweat dropped 

"that should be saved for a special someone!" he said "cough. me. cough." 

"you're right!" y/n beamed with a grin "like reki!" 

oikawa dramatically sulked, kicking rocks by his feet and muttering under his breath as a gloomy aura surrounds him. "reki this reki that. why is it always reki? hmp" he muttered bitterly to himself 

iwaizumi sweat dropped and simply dragged him along "shut up, shittykawa. this is just getting sad" he said. "also, y/n where exactly are we going?" iwaizumi asked her as he looked around the dark and unsettling part of the woods they have entered 

"adam said he set up a course for us tonight" she answered with a shrug as she pushed her way through random bushes "it has to be hidden but we're very close, don't worry." she reassured 

"that's the problem. we're close." iwaizumi sighed. "just so you know, im still against this whole thing" 

"don't worry iwaizumi-san! it'll be fun!" y/n said with a grin as she pushed through one last bush, revealing a bright light from behind. 

"ah, there she is!"

y/n covered her eyes as a bright light shone against her "my eve!" adam announced followed by multiple cheers and shouts

"what the hell..?" matsukawa muttered as he looked around the abandoned looking part of the forest which was littered with skaters cheering and watching. "what the hell is this place?" she muttered as she recognised a few faces from S "is this S..?"

"my eve" adam cooed as he skated towards her "do you like it?"

"i've gathered everyone here to see you skate!" he exclaimed "everyone has missed you. but not as much as me" adam grinned as he tucked a single rose between her ear, making her shudder and warily poke at the flower.

"is reki here?" she asked with widened eyes as she looked around for a certain redhead

"that boy is not needed, is he not?" adam rebutted with a scowl "so there was no need to invite him."

her face fell at the statement and peered up at him with a frown. "don't say that about him.." she muttered

adam hummed and lit up a cigarette. "if emotions could be seen by the eye, what shapes would they be?" he mused

y/n brows furrowed as he listened to him. "i believe it will be a spring. and that spring will have different amounts of water depending on the occasion." he said "my spring is currently completely dry. because i don't have even one millimeter of interest in that.. reki..." he said with a grimace 

"but you.." adam trailed off as he threw the cigar away. 

he skated towards her and grinned, encaging her in a bubble her as he skates around her. "good.. you're good.." he said with a sigh of pleasure 

"it flows out... it gushes out!" adam exclaimed 

"that's right. the prize of this bet shall be you!" he announced as he gripped her waist and pulled her closer to him so their chest were touching "and what shall you ask for if you win, little y/n?" adam cooed as he tilted his head with a grin 

y/n sheepishly looked away from him and muttered. "if i win.. you have to go back and leave me alone.." she said 

adam's smile momentarily fell. he then grinned and nodded along. "what a cruel request" he mused "but if that is what you want then so be it.." he chuckled 

"but that just means i have to win no matter what, right?" 

y/n looked at him with dread. she didn't answer but simply turned away from him and faced the boys. "hey, i think we should leave" oikawa suggested with a nervous laugh "that guy is crazy!" 

"and what's with this place? i thought for sure he'd just bring you to a skatepark or something" he said as he eyes the various skaters who were chatting along 

"you'll see oikawa-san." 

everyone watched in anticipation as the lights blink one by one, a buzzing sound acting as a count down for them. as the last ringing of the buzzer filled the air, both adam and y/n skated off.

"holy shit" matsukawa cursed in surprise

they had done so in immense speed and force, that they'd even left some skid marks and a trail of dust and rubble behind

"yeah! go SNOW!" "im betting on you, SNOW!!" "SNOW you better win!"

oikawa watched with widened eyes as the crowd around them cheered and hollered, shouting her alias along with some encouragement. "snow?" oikawa hummed in confusion "is that like a nickname or something?" he muttered

"yes. we like to keep our personal lives apart from our skating activities." a guy chimed in "and that includes our given names, so we make up aliases or nicknames, as you said."

oikawa looked up at the man with a mask and nervously chuckled "i see." he said "what's your name then, sir?" he asked, only to quickly correct himself "or ma'am? uh-"

"cherry." he answered

cherry looked oikawa up and down and brought his eyes up to the screen displaying y/n and adam. "also im a guy." he said with a sigh. "ah right, sorry" oikawa chuckled

"its the hair isn't it?" a new voice cooed followed by a laugh 

oikawa watched as cherry sighed and irritably glare at the green haired guy that skated towards them. 

"sup kid" joe greeted with a nod "i heard you came with our rookie over there" he mused as he stared up at the girl through the screen. "im joe. im a friend of hers" he said with a grin as he held his hand out for him to shake. "cherry here is too" 

"oikawa tooru" oikawa said as he accepted the hand shake "im also her friend" he smiled at them 

"stop talking and watch. she brought you here so you better make the most of it" cherry interrupted their conversation 

"right.." oikawa nodded 

"YEAH GO SNOW!" "she's speeding up!" "ADAM's totally catching up though!" 

oikawa's eyes glistened in wonder and amazement as he watched her sharply turn a corner and flip her board around, using the edge to balance herself from the steep curve of the concrete. 

"its here!" adam exclaimed in delight 

y/n turned back with a cautious gaze as she watched in partial dread and confusion as adam does some type of dance as he skates. though she wouldn't lie, it was kid of impressive for him to keep his balance. but still.. 

" here, here! right in my heart!" adam exclaimed with a light squeal, continuing to dance and spin around, only making her dread what was to come next even more. 

"now, little y/n.." adam cooed as he suddenly appeared behind her to grab her waist and drag her closer to him, causing their boards to bump. 

"dance with me!" he said with a grin as he took her hand and maneuvered their way through the curves and turns of the course 

"what the..?! that's dangerous! shouldnt this be against the rules or something?!" oikawa exclaimed as he watched the scene play out in fear 

"no. there are no rules when it comes to S." cherry explained. "it may be dangerous but, the moment she agreed to the beef was her brushing off the consequences she may face." 

oikawa gulped and look back up, watching on distaste as adam spreads her feet to make her lose her balance 

iwaizumi, matsukawa and hanamaki's expressions were just about the same. they didn't really know what they were expecting when she brought them here but it surely wasn't this. 

adam chuckled as he pushed her, making her stumble and almost fall off, only for him to catch her by the small of her back and dipping her as if it was a dance. 

"okay, this is going too far.." iwaizumi muttered as they watched her expression through the screen 

y/n gritted her teeth as she glared up at him, only for adam to smile at her in amusement. 

"y/n.." oikawa muttered with a frown as he felt the worry build up inside of him 

"we're approaching a big corner now!" adam taunted her. he intertwined their hands and grinned mischievously as he lifted her up and started spinning her around. "here we go!" he exclaimed with a laugh

it was a total contrast to her screams of pure dread and adrenaline, tightly gripping his hands so she wouldn't fall and injure herself 

"this is so fun, SNOW!" adam cooed as she finally was able to place her feet back on her board, although they were still spinning 

everyone watched as the camera zoomed in on them, showing her widened eyes and gritted teeth as she stared up at adam, who was smiling tauntingly at her. "oh? is something the matter?" adam cooed "please don't tell me youre scared." 

it seems everyone, including adam was pleasnatly surprised as a small but noticeable smirk carved itself onto her lips. maybe it was adrenaline, but it seemed like it was out of enjoyment as well. after all, it's been a while since she's skated properly against someone. 

y/n grinned as she narrower the space between them, pushing herself against him as she took turn to maneuver them against the turn 

"she narrowed the turn radius to speed up" joe said as he stared up at the screen with a proud and amused smile "still the same as always" 

the boys looked at him and gulped. they had no idea what was happening whatsoever, except for the fact that she can literally die or injure herself with one wrong move. 

"love-love-love-lovely!" adam exclaimed with a laugh "wonderful!". y/n panted as she pulled away and finally managed to get a grip of her board once again 

"he's gonna do the love hug" a new voice filled the air 

the boys whipped their heads around to see a redhead rushing towards the scene with two other guys, one younger. 

"love hug..?" oikawa tilted his head in confusion as he peered down at the vaguely familiar redhead. though his attention was averted back to the screen as the atmosphere seemed to have grown heavier 

adam was grinning as he spun back around, spreading his arms as he looked at her through his mask. "come here.. into my arms!" adam cooed "love hug!" 

"Y/N!!" reki exclaimed as he shifted anticipatingly in his place, dropping his own board in the process 

as comical as it was, she somehow managed to hear his scream. maybe it was because everyone else was quiet due to suspense. but reki's voice echoed throughout the cleared out forest loud enough for her to hear. 

"reki..?" y/n spluttered as she immediately jumped over adam, performing what looks to be a snowboarding trick. she stayed in the air for longer as she eyed the area she planned to land. 

"YEAH! GO SNOW!" cheers erupted among the audience, filling the tense air with noise yet again. 

"she did it!" reki grinned as he watched her through the screen 

"reki?" oikawa mumbled with widened eyes as he looked at the redhead with a new sense of intimidation and wariness. though his eyes were quickly averted back to the scene before him. as unexpected as it was, he'd still rather focus on y/n skating rather than some kid he didn't know. 

"adam's not having it." cherry sighed as he watch adam try to keep up with her speed but struggle due to the advantage she had received

"she's gonna win!" reki grinned as he watched the two skate in anticipation

and just as he had predicted, loud screeching of her board's tires were heard as she passed over the finish line. "ah-ah shit!-" she cursed as she lost her balance and toppled over, causing her to wince in pain 

"ouch.." she sighed as she sat up on the ground, rubbing her head and checking her board for damage since the course was rockier than usual 

"y/n-chan!" oikawa exclaimed as he, along with the three boys rushed over to her, given that the finish line was a few yards away from them. "oikawa-san!" she faced him with a grin as she opened her arms for him to drop into "i won!" she said

"i know! you were so cool!" oikawa gushed as he stared up at her in admiration

"ehem." iwaizumi cleared his throat

"oh right." oikawa muttered. "but that was really dangerous!" he scolded her, a total contrast to his reaction before. "are you injured? your hand is probably wounded with how much you skidded it against the rocks!"

she smiled sheepishly and shook her head "im fine, oikawa-san" she reassured him "my hands and feet are kind of sore but it's alright"

"also.. was reki here? i heard him" she asked as she looked around the place, trying to find the redhead 

"i've lost" adam said as he stopped before her 

"you.. you do remember what my request was right?" she asked him with a wary gaze. "of course, my eve" adam mused. "i'm not very happy with it, as you may know" 

she looked down at her shoes and gave him a quick bow "sorry." she said "but a bet is a bet. and i won." y/n looked up at him and sent him a faint ghost of a smile. "it was fun skating with you, adam. but you have to distance yourself from me.." 

adam gazed at her with pursed lips, not looking too amused about the situation, but nodded nonetheless. "im glad i've left you satisfied, my eve" he cooed as he took her hand in his and placed a quick peck onto her knuckles 

the boys around her sweat dropped as they witnessed the strange and awfully uncomfortable interaction. "right well.." iwaizumi cleared his throat as he hesitantly pushed them apart. "we'll be going now." he said "this place is dangerous and you shouldn't really be making her participate in reckless things like this. do better sir." 

y/n smiled at him and chuckled as he dragged her away along with the others, more that eager to leave that place. 

"you're never skating ever again." iwaizumi said to break the silence 

"what?! no way!" she whined "didn't you see that iwaizumi-san? it was so fun!" 

"that guy was a creep and you were on the verge of dying." 

"well.. it was fun though" she huffed as she realised she couldn't even disagree with his statement 

"well, i think it looked fun" oikawa whispered to her with a cheeky wink, making her chuckle and suppress a smile

Y/N woke up from a nightmare at 2am on Christmas morning (if u can call it that, it wasn't even dawn) in avengers tower. She wanted to feel happy and excited, but she didn't. Don't get me wrong, she liked it there, it was awesome. But her real family never did anything for Christmas. No decorations, no presents, not even a 'Merry Christmas'. She went to church by herself also. It was nothing like Christmas her peers had. So she didn't have any motive to believe that it's gonna be different here.

Y/N was 16. And a newish avenger. I mean nearly for a year, since avengers were formed. Since then she lived with them cuz her parents didn't want her 'freakiness'. But still it was her first Christmas with them. It's gonna be like any other day. But even that was better than her previous Christmasses with her 'family'.

Oh boy how wrong she was...

She woke up by a hand gently tapping her cheek and a soft voice cooing in her ear.

"Y/N, petal wake up. Cmon kid, it's Christmas morning."

She slowly opened her eyes and saw Steve standing next to her bed waking her up. Why does he care? It's not like he's spending a Christmas with her...

"Morning Steve. Merry Christmas. What are you doing here?" she croaked still sleepy.

"It's Christmas kid. I know you go to church often, so I was wondering if you'd like to go with me today sweetheart? Also there's a whole lotta presents waiting for you in our living room." he said like it was the most normal thing ever.

"Wait really? You'd lije to spend Christmas... with me?" she asked still unsure of herself.

"Yes sweetness. Of course I'd love to. Why do u even ask?" Steve was confused.

But she wasn't listening past the first sentence. She lunged at him, kissed his cheek and hugged him tightly.

He hugged her back, stroking her hair the way he knew she liked.

'It's gonna be the best Christmas ever!' was the only thing on her mind. And se wasn't wrong.

After cuddling with Steve, she opened tons and I do mean TONS of presents, she went to church with Stevie, had lunch with avengers... Afterwards they played board games she got, and ate cupcakes, cakes and other delicious stuff. In the end they watched Christmas movies till morning, and it was A W E S O M E.😜

Black & White - Niall Horan One Shot

You and Niall were enjoying a week long trip in Ireland to visit his family and to have your family fly out as well to spend time all as one big family. The only other times some members of both your families have been in the same room as each other was when Niall had a concert in your city or when it was his or yours birthdays. This was an eventful week to say the least, but everyone blended together so well it made you so happy to have everyone bonded while sharing many laughs and making memories.

Everyone was staying at Adare Manor, one of Ireland’s exclusive five star hotels that was so romantic and like a blast from the past as it dates back to the early 19th century. It’s one of the many things you loved about Ireland as well the culture, the history and how friendly and humble everybody was including Niall and his family. Today Niall, your father, and Niall’s father were going to go golfing together on the hotel’s course because of course they would, it was no surprise since all the men were golf fanatics. Niall and you were staying in the Rose Cottage on the property, which was something Niall arranged as Rose was your middle name and he thought it was a cute, romantic gesture along with having privacy away from both your families in case you guys were too loud because lord knows you can’t keep your hands off each other at times.

Niall was getting dressed in his Nike golf attire from head to toe and he seemed a little fidgety and anxious than normal. “You look so cute, but you look nervous. Why is that? Are you intimidated or scared by my dad or something. You’ve met him several times before,” you say rubbing his shoulder laughing. “Of course not petal. I’ve just had too much coffee this morning so I’m jittery,” Niall says unconvincingly while tying his shoes with shaky hands. “Alright then, if you so. Don’t worry my dad won’t kick your butt that hard at golf,” you say jokingly as he stands up and you embrace him in a cozy hug with your head snuggled into his chest. He rubs your back and pulls you away form him looking into your eyes lovingly. “I love you so much (y/n),” Niall says with a soft raspy voice. “I love you too Niall. Now cmon get on that course and show them what you got,” you say while smacking his defined butt in his tight golf pants.

Little did you know that this whole trip planned with getting your families together was because Niall was planning on proposing to you later tonight. You had no idea or inclination of what was to come.

Fast forward to after dinner with both your families where you had observed Niall being rather quiet and in his own head, he tells you he has a surprise for you. “What are you up to Horan? You’re acting weird today,” you said curiously. “I have a little something special planned tonight for just the two of us,” Niall says holding your hand leading you towards the expansive front lawn of the manor. There you see that an outdoor movie projector is set up and there’s a couch and a table set up with a bottle of champagne and wine on ice and candles lit around a beautiful floral arrangement. “Niall this is so cute. I love it! Thank you baby,” you say pouting lovingly at him kissing him softly and hugging him. You thought this was the reason why Niall was so nervous and off the whole today, but there was more to come, more than you ever could have dreamed of.

Niall and you have settled down on the couch as you’re snuggled into his side with a fluffy blanket wrapped around you two and a glass of wine in each of your hands. “What are we watching?,” you say obliviously just before Niall pushes play on the remote. “You’ll see,” he says with a grin forming on his face. As the video begins with grainy black and white video you see a compilation of moments between you and Niall that you never even knew were captured before. Between a clip of Niall running off stage at one of his concerts sweaty running into your arms and you embracing him in a passionate kiss without a care in the world to you and Niall doing karaoke together during a drunken party at your house with friends. So many personal moments between you and Niall were flashing across the screen from all different times during your relationship. Ones that his friends, his photographers or he had taken without you even knowing it or you knew Niall was taking a video but you just thought he was being funny or cute. You didn’t know what it would become or be used for until now. There was a clip of you two at a friend’s wedding slow dancing together lost in each others eyes. Then there was a clip of Niall filming you while you were on vacation in Mexico together where your laying by the pool and he says, “Isn’t she beautiful people? She’s all mine. All of her. Nobody can have her but me.” You’re so lost in the video that you haven’t even looked at Niall once because you don’t want to miss a single second of what’s on the screen. You’re in such awe of what Niall has put together that your are honestly speechless and taken aback by how heartwarming this romantic gesture was. You have tears in your eyes as you watch basically all the reasons and moments that have made you fall in love with Niall as much as you have over the past couple of years.

Then the video cuts to a sit down interview with Niall where whoever behind the camera asks him, “What is your favorite thing about (y/n)?.” Niall scoffs jokingly and says, “Gosh how long have you got? I mean everything. The way she laughs as loud as I do. The way her brown eyes turn golden in the sunlight. She feels like home to me. She supported me before I even met her. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted.” Then the cameraman says, “When did you first know she was the one?.” The footage turns off and goes black as you feel Niall get up from his seat next to you and gets down on his better knee. “I always knew. From the beginning I knew you were the one for me. I’ll love you for the rest of my life. (y/n) will you make me the happiest man alive more than I already am and marry me?,” says Niall on the verge of tears but smiling through them with the biggest grin on his adorable face. “Yes! Are you kidding right now? Yes. Yes! Oh my gosh,” you say crying happy tears as Niall slips a cushion cut diamond engagement ring on your shaking hand. You get up and embrace him wanting to never let go of him and wanting to just live in this moment forever. He grabs both sides of your face and passionately kisses you. “I’m such a wreck right now and overwhelmed, but in the best way possible. I’m gonna be Mrs. Horan,” you say still in shock as Niall brushes away your tears with his thumb. “That has a nice ring to it huh? And you’ll make the hottest wife. I love you (y/n). So much,” Niall says with his cheeks hurting from smiling so much. “I love you too beyond words,” you say as Niall and you lean your foreheads against each other forever wanting to soak up this moment in time.

honestly, the boy is just very misunderstood

he lived in the big city near the piers and beaches 

him and his father ran a flower shop in that city and jinyoung loved it 

he loved having the big and busy city life but also being able to see the sea and his flower shop for relaxation 

it was a nice balance 

he loved his father deeply since they only had each other 

so when he was brought to camp he was furious, he hated it 

he wanted to go back to his comfortable home, plus his dad was alone when he wasn’t there

that’s how he got his cold image at camp half blood 

he didn’t talk to many people, he never shared his life, heck people barely knew his last name

he was exactly what you expected, bad at almost everything 

he couldn’t get up the lava wall, sucked at capture the flag, couldn’t carry a sword and slept through greek mythology, history and language 

he was good at harvesting of course and had all the basic demeter children skills 

one he didn’t reveal was that he could teleport (geeky i know)

he can think of any plant to swallow him up and take him somewhere else 

he’s still working on the distance (which is why he hasn’t escaped and went home yet) but i mean he loves beating everyone to the showers

and you were a bit too engrossed in your book to pay attention to the ground

he kneels down next to you a little bit of second hand embarrassment is seen on his face

“uh hey sorry, are you okay??” he’s kinda awkward cause he doesn’t really talk to people

“yea yea,” you get up and dust yourself and the book off “just try not to leave your vines off the main road yea?” 

“okay” and he just returns to the plants on the cabin, leaving the vines on the ground

and he isn’t he’s just being the normal demeter kid he is  

as the stubborn athena child, you don’t accept just an “okay”, you march back up to him

you kinda want to stab him at this point, but he really doesn’t give two flying fucks and goes back to wall vine set up thing

and you stomped off, a little angered

and the next time you guys meet, you guys were having sword training class and were assigned as each other’s partner 

you being athena’s child were easily capable of adjusting to any sort of weapon whereas he wasn’t experienced much in sword fighting 

so you easily have the tip of your blade at his chest plate in a few swings

he just rolls his eyes, admitting defeat and smacking his blade into yours to knock it off

“you should try to bend your knees in the first position in order to be more steady as you start” you smirked, remembering the time he tripped you at the cabins 

this was payback 

but he’s ignoring you he’s actually just spacing out honestly

and you’re like “uh hello are you paying attention??” 

he shakes his head, snapping back to reality and you’re rolling your eyes 

“cmon, the sword isn’t gonna strike without you” 

and he’s back at it again,

with each defeat, he gets more and more stubborn

he isn’t frustrated, he’s much more patient then you expected

maybe it’s the way you’re shouting commands and tips at him with each battle 

and he hates being told what to do

“normally people would’ve thrown their sword and spit curse words by now”

he just shrugs, panting and rolling into a ball to rest

“hey get up, spread your arms out to open your lungs to take in more air” you kick at his side 

and he groans and gets back up 

god you were such an annoying know it all athena kid

and through out this entire class he hasn’t even spoke a single word to you

every week you guys have this class together and it’s the same routine

and honestly he gets better but of course with new weapons means a fresh start

one time, you guys stayed after class was over just to keep sparring 

at a tired moment, you both lied down on the grass, watching the clouds move 

“you know, i really hate this place” he sighs, this being one of the only times he ever talked first 

“what really? why?” you’re shook because you loved this place 

“i like my home, i miss my home, my flower shop, my dad, the city, it’s just so empty” 

“man, lucky you” you sighed “you have somewhere to go back to”

you explained how your mom, athena, met your dad, a high rank military soldier at one of the bases  

they fell in love of course but they only had each other, no other families within reach

so when your mom gave birth to you, she had no where to put you and your father refused adoption 

at first, you mom had found a cousin of his, but they refused to raise you because you were too problematic

your mom had laid out many conditions and rules about you and they just couldn’t handle such responsibility 

and her brother apollo already forsaw you’re future with them and lets just say its pretty dark 

he would know i mean the dude is the sun god

“it must be nice huh? i don’t even know my dad, he doesn’t have time for me” 

and it just clicked in his brain, he’s a brat

he couldn’t apprecirate what he already had

he still has his father, his home

and the next day you’ve never seen him so motivated during battle class 

his sword swung so fast and you weren’t used to it 

by the end of the first spar, you were panting

and you saw something you never thought you ever would

he was smirking 

and you scoffed at his sudden confidence, unsure as to what sparked inside of him 

dusting yourself off, you cleared your throat, 

“you still need some work” 

and you went back to sparring 

you started to notice that he was smiling when you guys were getting ready for the next round 

he would actually start conversations between battles and he was actually a pretty silly dude

he started finding motivation somehow, and it has something to do with you

at first he just wanted to defeat you and you’re know it all ass 

but you started to realize that he’d always sit by you during the campfire (which he only recently started attending)

he also asked you about greek history and mythology

so you guys end up studying together as well 

wow yall battlin with weapons and books 

and you started getting sus 

like is he into you ?????? 

but he really doesn’t show many signs otherwise

not much blushies or flusterness, just a lot of attachment 

so maybe he just really saw you as a friend

did your heart just fall into your stomach ?? 

nO! cause you’re an athena kid ! you don’t fall for anyone psh !!!

too bad he actually likes you too 

though he may be lookin like a blank rock

and now he has his eyebrows raised 

“my mom literally created the language of flowers, are you really gonna try arguing with me ??”

and you both whip to look at each other 

the eye contact is overwhelming, it’s lw hot, but also playful??? but you’re both ready to roast each other at the campfire 

you guys can’t seem to form words with your thoughts though 

you’re both kinda annoyed 

not only with some tiny argument, but also those compressed feelings are rising

“why can’t you just admit things for once” he bursted before you could you first, 

“you’re so stubborn for a boring demeter child”

“you’re the stubborn one”

“yea, but that’s expected of me”

meanwhile, jinyoung sprouts out of a potted plant on his nightstand in his cabin he’s literally thrown out of the flower and rolls onto the floor, covered in petals 

everyone is shook

and now everyone is screaming 

“i-i can explain..” jinyoung is literally going to become a tomato

“but can someone go get y.n in the woods???????” he nervously chuckled

and the sound of your name gives him ptsd cause he literally just confessed to you

now you guys are extremely awkward 

he sees you run off to you siblings asap during weapons class 

and he’s kinda hurt honestly 

like you could’ve at least rejected him to his face, not full on ghost him 

but at the same time he understood since he kinda abruptly said he like you, he probably surprised you 

but he still couldn’t help but hear his heart cracking

and you’re not even trying to break his heart

everytime jinyoung walks past your face turns red

when his name is brought up you kinda steer out of the conversation 

and the only reason why his name keeps being brought up is because you’re siblings know and looooooooove making fun of you 

even you’re quiet brother minhyun finds it amusing 

they’d always find any reason to say his name, anytime anywhere 

“ooh the strawberries are blooming is jINYOUNG piCkING THEM???

him and minhyun end up sitting next to each other in mythology 

“oh, you’re jinyoung huh???” he’s making the connections 

 “you know me?” the younger asked, very quietly 

“how could i not, you’re the talk of the talk in the athena cabin” (old dad terms wtf minhyun)

“oh cause y.n basically rejected me” he sighs “i get it, what a joke, can’t believe i thought i even had a shot” 

and minhyun blinks his eyes in confusion

“she rejected you??????????” he scrunches his eyebrows 

“well no, she kinda just left me hanging and ignores me now, so i have to assume it’s a rejection” 

and he laughs

and jinyoung has math equations all around his head (you kno the meme) 

“you guys were made for each other oh my lordy” he covered his mouth with one hand and the other patting the smaller one’s back “send her some flowers or something, i’ll deliver them” 

and thats how you find gardenias on your bed, with a small note 

‘secret love” 

i see him have some pretty sloopy handwriting and you kinda smile at it

and you send one back with a simple note 

‘secret love’ 

and he’s squishy and grinning to himself 

kicking his bed sheets in excitement, trying to refrain from jumping around 

his siblings are so done with him 

and so during breakfast the next morning, he swings an arm around you 

“hey you” he grinned

“jinyoung?????” you look up at him surprised 

the entire athena cabin is staring in amusement

and he’s immediately back to being flustered 

“jihoon said i should be smooth to impress you” he confessed, taking his arm back 

and you laugh and he ends up giggling with you

everything is back to normal 

ya’ll are the very quiet camp couple 

but you guys can get pretty wild together 

at the fireworks, you guys were pretty chill

just on a towel watching the fireworks in each others arms, unbothered 

and everyone is like ‘awwwweeeewwew cuuuute” 

but one time you guys were alone, just having your own picnic at the edge of the forest 

you two were nonstop laughing 

he would continuously make dumb faces at you 

and the more you smile, the more he would too

and it becomes a reoccurring routine 

where guys just sit outside 

whether it be studying, reading, growing flowers, trying his new recipe for brownies, or just laying in silence 

you were reading a book once, and suddenly a small flower grows in between your eyes and the book 

and it tickles your nose 

and your scrunching your nose at jinyoung and you both giggle 

he finds you so adorable during these peaceful times 

very unlike your uptight athena side 

he has a habit of playing with your fingers 

like you’re both on your way to the mess hall and he has one of your hands in his two hands and he’s playing with your fingers 

not even like intertwining them

just folding them, pressing at the pads of your fingertips and joints, drawing little pictures on your palms 

and you help him open up and the demeter cabin sees it 

they re-welcome him as an official sibling and are genuine friends/siblings 

imagine him taking you back to his hometown 

he tours you around the big city and you’re so fascinated by the buildings 

but then he even takes you to piers and beach that are like a bus stop away

and you’re just in awe 

“they’re right next to each other ???? buildings AND oceans ???” 

he’s overjoyed to see you appreciate the scenic views that he too fell for too 

and plus he fell for you too 

as much his dad wants you two enjoy your little couple vacation 

one day he needs to do a huge delivery so he asks jinyoung to watch the store 

and you’re much more excited than he was expecting cause he was feelin sorry 

“babe i’m sorry we ha-” 

“omg we get to run the flower shop??!?!???!!?!” you’re squealing and he’s blinking his eyes in confusion 

it’s really chill though 

he mostly handles all the buisness stuff while you just finish up your book next to him 

“jinyoung, i haven’t seen you in so long !” a longtime mom/costumer would greet him 

and in that moment you were talking to her 5 year old son, teaching him the meaning of certain flowers which you had learned from him 

and you and her son start giggling and you give him one the flowers, sliding it on top of his ear, and hoped that jinyoung wouldn’t mind 

“awe, you’re girlfriend seems very sweet” she would compliment 

“yea, she’s definitely a keeper” he would blush, smiling and looking down at the register 

if anyone was curious, the city i was basing jinyoung’s hometown was san francisco, ca in the u.s, mainly downtown sf and the ferry building + piers  :-))

four(4) days? four fuckin days of knowing this girl and theyre both cooing over each other??? i wouldnt have known this much happened in 4 days without it being pointed out that such little time had passed.

also persephone is 19 and hades is 2000 years old. hm. i gotta tell you after i stopped tricking myself into being straight- age gaps? not enticing.

what is apollo gonna do with those pictures. what is he gonna do. that portion made me physically ill and anxious but i read through it but what is he gonna do. i can taste the twist and it tastes like bile: hes gonna leak the pics when shes at her height and itll fucking retraumatize her if not outright break her i cant deal with that

cant say i approve of shoveling the blame of psyche’s “““betrayal””” onto her after her sisters were manipulating her and tearing her down. she was made vulnerable by abuse, of course she listened. eros is a bit of a baby for taking it so hard. ive always hated greek myths for how much they hate women. take medusa and arachne. those two still fuck me up. if you’re already divulging from the source material so much, it just feels weird to still include that garbage in it :\

the art is cool. it strikes me as a more caricature-like form of the disney golden books. i LOVE the blank music staffs to convey the shitty gut feeling/apollos influence, and the petals signalling persephone or thoughts of her.

hades’ inconsistent face kinda bugs me? i can see the desired style, but it feels like his face is too perfect from the front or too stretched from the side. one of those. if u make a character with a “““Weird””” nose u fucking commit to that shit from all angles!!!! cmon now

also i noticed the censoring of swears is pretty inconsistent lol. means nothing though.

overall entertaining enough for me to only lay out most of these flaws after reading, so suspension of disbelief is a go. will probably reblog lore olympus content because im a moron who projects myself onto het ships and thinks abt my gf a lot
