- Honestly, I feel like Arthur would have this insane, crippling fear of rejection, especially when it comes to dating. - His self hate/deprecation plays a huge part in this, and quite honestly, him and Mary not working out probably also probably contributed to it. - Very emotionally distant. Has a hard time expressing his feelings openly due to that same fear of rejection.🚩 - Bottles shit up until he feels like he's gonna explode 🚩 - His impulse control is almost nonexistent 🚩 - Will resort to saying things that he doesn't even mean. He just says things when he's angry🚩 - Will hate himself even more if he makes you cry - Won't hesitate to run away from camp for a while to cool off. This isn't necessarily a bad thing per se, but he usually takes his time away to overthink the fuck out of everything - Prone to acting violent. (not to someone he cared about, but to other people, absolutely)Also due to his poor impulse control. 🚩

Javier Escuella

- Has a flirty personality, but around women, it just seems to get worse. 🚩 - Tells you you're overreacting if you tell him it bothers you🚩 - Overprotective of you. Always has his eyes on you, and practically orders you to stay in camp where it's safe. - As if you step one foot outside the camp without him, you'll spontaneously drop dead - Jealous asf. Are you laughing at what Bill just said? It wasn't even that funny. Why are you standing so close to him? You should be at least 6 feet away from him, not 5 and a half. 🚩 - Also has a problem with how you dress sometimes. God forbid your shirt is ever low cut. He'd probably ask you to change. 🚩 - And if you get offended or upset, he'll lie and tell you it's because he can't stop staring at your chest, and he'd like to focus of whatever it was he was doing.🚩

John Marston

- Stubborn as all hell. Doesn't listen to anybody for anything.🚩 - Commitment issues up the ass - Says mean things out of anger and sometimes actually means them 🚩 - Won't apologize half the time. He thinks kissing it better actually makes it better 🚩 - Regularly ignores his own bad habits instead of actually facing them 🚩 - Will run away from problems like Arthur, but worse. He'd be gone a really long time.🚩 - Gets annoyed with you if you get angry at him for leaving and staying away for a while. He told you he needed space, didn't he? What else do you need from him?? 🚩 - Ignorantly clueless half the time. Head empty, no thoughts.

Lenny Summers

- Not assertive in the slightest, and usually, respectfully, keeps to himself. -Takes orders without verbal complaints but inside he's annoyed as fuck 🚩 - Even if he hates doing something he'll probably just go "Okay" and do it anyway, and he'll sulk all day afterwards - Refuses to tell you what's wrong because he thinks he'll sound childish.🚩 - If you push the issue, he might snap at you out of annoyance like "Would you just let it be??" - Immediately feels guilty and shameful, and he'll hide away until he's ready to apologize and face you again - Also kind of a know-it-all... He'll correct you a LOT. It would get annoying 🚩 - Would blatantly tell you you're wrong before correcting you🚩 - Not necessarily an asshole about it but he still tends to get under your skin sometimes

Dutch Van Der Linde

- The BIGGEST Narcissist you'll ever meet.🚩 -He loses another piece of his mental state with every breath he takes. Slowly but surely losing his mind.🚩 - King of gaslighting🚩 - How could you even think that about him? He could never do anything wrong! You must be crazy...🚩 - Tries to recite his "pretty words" from Evelyn Miller to try and sound smarter than he actually is 🚩 - Expects you to just feed his ego without him actually doing anything to earn it🚩 - Will try to correct you even when he's wrong🚩 - Refuses to admit he's wrong. He can never be wrong. That word isn't even in his vocabulary unless he's talking about literally anyone but himself🚩

Micah Bell

- Where do I even start with this guy - Not above putting his hands on you if he doesn't get his way. Let's be honest here.🚩 - Mega Narccisist, almost as bad as Dutch 🚩 - Will brag and share every sexual encounter you've ever had with him like he's talking about the weather🚩 - VERY prone to Violence 🚩 - NO impulse control. Murders people for fun.🚩 - Backhanded and borderline abusive compliments 24/7 "You'd look so good if you weren't so fucking fat..." 🚩 - Selfish lover. Thinks just sticking it in will do the trick, and it does, for him at least.🚩 - Little to no affection. What are you? His girlfriend? Wait...🚩 -If he actually does show you affection, and you react in surprise, he'll tell you to go fuck yourself, and that that's the last time he ever does anything nice for you.🚩

Charles Smith

- Impossible to read sometimes - Like Arthur, Charles tends to keep a lot of his emotions bottled up until he feels like he's gonna pop 🚩 - Like most of the men in the Van Der Linde gang, Charles is also prone to acting violently. I mean, he started a bar fight with a fucking chair, and he fights in street fighting rings, let's be real for a second.🚩 - He's incredibly quiet and reserved a lot of the time, and sometimes you just assume that he's listening to you when you talk, but a lot of the time, he's lost in his own thoughts. - Will do everything anyone asks him to at the expense of his own free time and energy, and sometimes he works himself to exhaustion just to try and please everyone.🚩 - In doing so, he sometimes doesn't have time for himself at the end of the day. It also seems like you spend time together less and less as the days go on. - If he ever got himself hurt and you tried to help him, he'd decline any help with anything to save his own pride. The last thing he needs is you thinking he's weak. 🚩 - Extremely Overprotective. Like to the point where he'd beat the shit out of anybody you asked him to🚩

Sean Macguire

- An Alcoholic🚩 - horny 99% of the time, but half that time he probably has whiskey dick. Still asks you to try but doesn't understand that it's like trying to play pool with a rope... - If he can manage to be sober enough to actually get it up, and you're not in the mood, he'd get pissy and annoyed with you for "wasting his boner" 🚩 - Will probably also brag about having sex with you to everyone🚩 - Needy as all hell - Bro sulks on purpose - Low key loves the attention you give him when you continue to ask him what's wrong, but he never actually tells you and constantly says "I'm fine..." or "It's nothing..." 🚩 - But then sighs dramatically and continues sulking and dragging his feet so you keep giving him more attention 🚩

Hosea Matthews

- Ignores his physical health until he's practically dying. You've told him to get that cough looked at for literal years and he just says "I will" and does nothing 🚩 - sometimes talks to you as if you're a child especially if he's around Dutch -low key gaslights you sometimes 🚩 - and he says it with such a gentle tone, its hard to catch it 🚩

The girls

Mary Beth Gaskill

- Daydreams way too much - Likes to live in her romance novel fantasy land rather than face reality 🚩 - Cries a lot - Tries to be angry but can't help but cry instead - If crying makes you feel bad for her, she'll probably do it on purpose so you comfort her and give her attention🚩 -If you're in a fight, she'll turn on the crocodile tears to get you to stop being angry with her or whatever it is you're arguing about.🚩

Abigail Roberts

- She can be verbally abusive if she's pushed far enough 🚩 - Holds in a lot of her emotions🚩 - Neglectful of her own personal needs to make sure you or Jack are fully provided or cared for🚩 - a lot of the time, when she's upset with you, you're probably given the cold shoulder and the silent treatment - incredibly protective. Not necessarily a bad thing, but she can sometimes be super overbearing.

Tilly Jackson

- Tells it how she sees it, sometimes accidentally sounding a lot colder than she means to 🚩 - Too sarcastic for her own good 🚩 - Laughs a little too much sometimes when you tell a joke, and you can often tell it's actually incredibly fake🚩 - gets irritated really easily, especially if she's bothered while doing her chores. The last thing she needs is Grimshaw on her ass again.🚩 - irritable a lot of the time, unintentionally becoming short or snapping at you - like john, she also believes that kissing it better is better than actually apologizing

Karen Jones

- An alcoholic 🚩 - picks fights with you for fun, finds it entertaining to see how red your face can get from anger 🚩 - Screaming matches are a regular occurance between you guys, and she starts it almost every time 🚩 - Pretty jealous when it comes to the opposite sex🚩 - Has self doubt and believes that she can't give you everything a man probably could

Sadie Adler

- The nosiest woman in America. No chill. She reads everyone's mail. - Makes a lot of loose threats 🚩 - Anger issues🚩 - Low impulse control🚩 - Can be a little too rough sometimes 🚩 - If she's upset with you, she'll either yell or storm off. Sometimes both. 🚩 -(She tends to walk away a lot more often because she's actuall self aware that her anger issues are a problem) - She'd never admit that to you though.

Shit.

Pain flares up in your abdomen as you try not to think about the blood gushing out of your side, as the taste of iron lines your taste buds, making you want to vomit.

You were on a mission with your close friend and pro hero, Deku, who you consider a friend till the end after endless mission assignments together. Your quirk, Rays, allowed you to control the lighting of any setting you were in- even if it were bright outside, you could plunge anything within a 100-mile radius into complete darkness if you chose to do. Along with that, you could illuminate anything within the same distance in the middle of the night. Your eyes would change colors while your quirk was active, growing lighter and darker with the lighting around you- a feature that allowed you to be hired as a model for Jiyū, a clothing company owned by renowned clothing designers, Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugou. They joked that that lighting always favored you during photoshoots, capturing your eyes in such an alluring way that it was almost like you were the one who made the clothing look exceptional. They’d often drop hints that you would, in fact, be a perfect fit for their hotheaded son. You’d laugh at their insistence, waving off their jokes. They never would guess the reason behind your choice of career path, especially as a secret pro hero.

You were an underground Pro Hero by the name of Sola – specializing in espionage and stealth, a major asset to Pro Hero Deku as you balanced his brute force with elegance and mobility. You loved your job, not ever having to need to be prominent on the Hero charts and found your reward through the knowledge that you were helping others. It was silly, you thought, to sneak around with a secret identity like all the books you read, unlike the Pro Heroes you knew that basked in attention. And even though you didn’t need people fawning over you 24/7, you still had one issue with all the secrecy.

That being your boyfriend, Katsuki Bakugou.

You loved him with your entire heart, and more, as he did you. The both of you got together a few months after the explosive blonde had graduated from UA, your relationship blowing up the tabloids with a bang as he climbed the hero rankings.

You trusted him with your life, and he trusted you with his heart, and yet you couldn’t tell him about your job as an underground pro hero.

This was one of the reasons why.

You hid behind a pillar in the abandoned warehouse you had caught a drug network alongside Pro Hero Deku. The both of you were tracking the pricks for months, coming home late every night with a new excuse to tell Katsuki. You knew it would burden him with worry, choosing to keep your secret hero identity just that - a secret, even from Katsuki. He couldn't worry about you when he had his own job as a Pro Hero to worry about.

Not to mention he wasn’t exactly on the best terms with the greenette you worked with constantly.

The fight ensued, you heard Deku’s grunts and the cracks of bones, no doubt his One for All in usage. You manipulated the light around him, effectively blinding your opponents while giving your partner the advantage of sight.

You were losing blood at a rapid pace, head becoming fuzzy as your body slumps to the floor, giving into the exhaustion from overuse of your quirk.

The last thing you heard before the world turned black was Deku’s triumphant call for you, reporting that all the villains were restrained.

When you woke up, you were in Izuku’s apartment, head hazy and your temples throbbed like they were being stabbed repeatedly by blunt needles.

You got up without a word, thanking Izuku for his hospitality before leaving to go home, brushing off his concerns and walking out his front door.

Anxiety gnawed at you on the taxi ride home, subconsciously fiddling with your shirt to make sure your bandages weren’t visible, and praying to whatever deity was watching over you that Katsuki wouldn’t notice.

You reached your apartment complex, taking a deep breath and settling for a somewhat content look, before inserting your keys into the lock and opening the door, basking in the familiar warmth of your shared home.

Spotting Katsuki at the kitchen stove, you creep up to him and wrap your arms around his waist, to which he stiffens, but you don’t think much of it as you tighten your arms around him.

“I’m home!” You sing, smushing your cheek against him but he says nothing.

Worry works its way through your mind, wondering why he wasn’t responding, until his gruff voice snaps you back into focus.

“Where were you.” he says, phrasing it like a statement, not a question.

Your heart drops into the pit of your stomach- does he know? Did Izuku tell him?

Wh-what?” A nervous laugh escapes you. Had you been caught? “I told you, I was in the US -”

“Cut the bullshit.” he snaps, and you let go of him – you can physically feel your heart snap in two. “Where. were. You."

“I...” you trail off, the words caught in your throat, willing the tears that threatened to spill not to fall.

You both stand there, wordless, staring at his eyes, full of pain.

“You never even loved me, did you?” he says, voice cracking full of emotion, your eyes widening.

“Katsuki no- I" You try to explain, but he cuts you off, the pounding in your head returning with the new rush of emotions.

“Just stop. Please. Leave and never come back.” He spits out, tears finally dripping down his face. “Go fucking be happy with shitty Deku because obviously he’s a better fucking boyfriend than me.”

He thought you were cheating on him. Those late nights coming home, prolonged trips without explanation- god you were so stupid.

You rush towards him, mind racing as you try to explain, try to fix things. You couldn’t lose him, you couldn’t- it would destroy you in ways unimaginable.

And yet, he pushed you away forcefully, making you cry out in pain as he contacts your wound in your side.

He almost stops breathing when he sees the blood, your blood, on his hands.

You panic, and he grabs you by the shoulders, lifting your shirt up to reveal the bandage wrapped around your torso that the blood managed to seep through.

“Kats-”

“Who fucking hurt you.” he growls, low and feral- all resentment from the previous conversation melting away with the realization that you weren’t with Deku – or at least in the way he thought.

“I’m an Underground Pro Hero.” You whisper, a desperate attempt to mask your feelings as you curl into yourself. You can’t risk looking up at Katsuki and seeing his reaction.

“You what- fuck, you have a quirk?!” He looks at you, eyes wide.

You nod hesitantly, his vermilion stare meeting your own, attempting to assess what else you could be hiding from him.

“I wasn’t allowed to tell you- the Commision wouldn’t let me, I wanted to tell you so bad Katsuki, but I knew you had so much on your plate, and I didn’t want to bother you, and-” you break down, Katsuki cutting you off as he encircles you in his arms, consoling you silently, letting your distraught form melt into his embrace.

Heaving sobs turned into choking cries, which dwindled into sniffles that lead to silence. You’d drifted off, cried yourself into a sleepy daze while he carefully cradled you in the kitchen. His own guilt ate away at him- he understood your situation, the Commission was as unsympathetic to a hero’s situation as the League was to anything. But it still hurt, that stupid Deku knew about your status as a Pro Hero before he did. He shook his head, dispersing his feelings. He hated himself for his words, for assuming the worst and thinking you were capable of doing something so low. Running his fingertips over your bandages gingerly, a pang of worry struck through him. He wiped the tears off his face, and then yours, lifting your sleeping form and headed for your bedroom.

Right now, he needed to take care of you.

Changing you out of your clothes, he settles you into one of your favorite worn out shirts of his, tucking you into bed before getting ready to sleep himself.

He joins you in bed, heaving a shaky breath after everything, wrapping his arms around you, one hand placed on the back of your head and the other on the small of your back, holding you against his chest like you were made of porcelain - too scared to let you go, but scared of breaking you, too.

“Goodnight, princess.”

Optimus Prime - The Soft Yandere PART 2

The war had ended, and the Autobots had made Earth their home. It had become much calmer without the chaos of the Decepticons’ wrath- though there were still a few of them out there trying to keep the fight going. They were certainly a lot weaker than Megatron, though, so they weren’t as hard to take down.

You and Optimus had a blooming relationship, but lately you’d tried to take time alone. You loved him, but he was suffocating you with affection. While you were injured and couldn’t do much for yourself it was fine, but now it’s just too much.

You heard a honk echo in the street and you sighed. You turned around to see the all-too familiar semi truck. With a huff you made your way to it and got in. “Damn it, Optimus! I told you I wanted to walk by myself.”

He was taken back. You almost never cussed- especially at him. “What’s wrong, my love?”

“I wanted to walk! Why did you pick me up?”

“Decepticons are still active. They may use you to get to me and the others.”

You rolled your eyes- another thing you rarely did. Your attitude has been a huge issue with him lately. “There hasn’t been a sighting in THREE months! I can’t handle this right now. I’m walking the rest of the way.” You moved to the handle of the car, trying to get out. The handle wouldn’t budge. “Optimus, open the door.”

“No.” A simple answer left the radio as the car began its drive to your house.

You started to pull more at his door. “Optimus! I said let me out- now!” A panic began to overtake you. He’d never acted like this before.

“Have I done something to upset you?” He sounded like a kicked puppy.

You lowered your arm, feeling a little guilty. “Optimus… I feel suffocated. I just want some time alone, and I don’t understand why you won’t leave me alone for a little while. I love you- but you’re scaring me.”

Optimus was silent for a moment. He said nothing as he slowly opened the door. You scrambled outside and gently laid a hand on his side.

“Just a few days, please. Please.”

Optimus said nothing as he drove away, leaving you in the dust. You felt guilty- but you’d be lying if you didn’t enjoy the time alone. You finally felt free.

It was only three days, but you realized that you may not love Optimus like you used to. He used to be so sweet and kind, always giving you the space you wanted. Now he was controlling. You weren’t allowed to go anywhere alone because the now disbanded decepticons might get you, however unrealistic that was.

Optimus wouldn’t even listen to Ratchet’s advice, who advised him to take a step back. Maybe it was for the best if the both of you went on a break to see how things would go. You called Optimus to meet at your house tonight.

“What is it you wanted to speak about?” Optimus held out his hand, which you climbed onto. He sat you on the roof so you’d be at his eye level.

You shuffled your feet nervously. “Optimus… I think we should take a break. We’ve had a… tense relationship as of late and I-”

“No.” You were stunned into silence as he continued. “I love you far too much to allow you to just abandon this relationship. We can work through it- we will not just leave it.”

It was almost impossible to speak with the weight of the conversation. “Optimus… this is the problem. You’re far too controlling.”

“The Decep-”

You held your hand up. “Let me finish. The Decepticons haven’t been an issue in months. Every Time you do find one, you defeat them easily. I wanted it to just be a break, but now I’m thinking we need to break up instead.” Tears filled your eyes. It was for the best you said this, though.

Optimus scooped you up and held you in front of his faceplates. “You’re just confused. I understand- but you will learn with time.” He smiled.

“Optimus, put me down. Please.”

Optimus instead transformed around you. You tried to do anything- kick the door, kick the glass. Nothing worked.

The Prime got tired of you kicking him and wrapped the seatbelt around you tightly. Any attempts at a struggle would make the belt tighten, so you quickly gave in so as to not be deprived of oxygen.

Soon, Optimus pulled into a base much like the Autobot’s. It would be confused for it, actually, if not for the spiderwebs and lack of tech. Optimus transformed and placed you on a platform.

“Where are we?” You looked around.

“Your new home.” You looked up at him in confusion and fear as he just smiled at you. “I know it’s not much now, but we’ll make it a great home. I have gotten you a few things to make your transition easier.” He gestured to a large stack of items. Books, clothes, furniture. Everything you’d need to survive was there.

Backing up, you whimpered. “Optimus, this is crazy. Take me back home- you’re scaring me. I can’t stay here!”

The tall bot merely pat your head. “You will learn to love it, and relearn to love me. You will be safe here, I promise. You will never want for anything.”

“I want to go home!”

Optimus frowned. He knew this was hard for you- but you had to stay with him. Don’t you know how much he’d done for you? “You’re staying here, and that’s final.” He leaned down to kiss your head. “I love you. I have to go now, but I will be back soon.” With that, he was gone.

You ran around trying to desperately find an exit. Nothing would open. Every door was sealed tightly and no matter how much you pushed, pulled, or slammed into would make it budge even an inch.

You fell to the ground in exhaustion and defeat. You were never going to get out of here, and you were always going to be with Optimus. You didn’t have a choice.

Last Twilight Ep 10 Stray Thoughts

Last week, Day talked to his dad and got some closure about how his dad left his mom and them. Then, Mhok and Day decided to take a side trip to climb the mountain featured on the Last Twilight book. They ended up using the same homestay as the author, and learned that he went on an international journey so that his daughter, who was losing her visions, could see lots of beautiful things. They managed to reach the top of the mountain and had an emotional moment as Day’s remaining eyesight failed.

This is how you start an episode! Immediately into the mom conflict.

Ouch, they made Mhok stay outside for this appointment.

Currently feeling a little sorry for the mom because I understand her being jealous that she wasn’t present for Day’s final moments of vision, feels complex responsibility about making sure they continue to be wealthy enough to care for Day, and also probably is just scared because she feels so powerless. I get the instinct to exert control in some way, even if it’s over Mhok for overstepping in his role.

I’m also glad Mhok made the choice to quit on his own. He’s too close to Day now to serve as his caregiver in a professional capacity.

“Keep it secret. Keep it safe.”

Not keen on the mom being okay with Day regressing.

“Mom, I love him,” is not a winning play here, Day.

Oh no mom hired that patronizing guy from earlier.

At least Mhok got the car back.

I kinda wish Mhok had been holding a boom box in this phone call scene.

She said, “I’m not homophobic. Mhok is just too broke to be with you.” If we’re going down this route, I hope this ties back into the earlier stuff about Day choosing to quit school.

Mm, I do not approve of her taking Day’s phone.

I am glad Porjai called Mhok out on prioritizing Day over himself. I was wondering if we’d do anything else with Mhok’s ex-con status. Not sure how I feel about him picking up culinary skills since he started taking care of Day and changing careers. I was hoping his technician skills would stick around.

She changed the wifi password too? WTF

Mark Pakin is still so, so good. He continues to absolutely crush huge emotional moments that involve a face journey. I like this reconciliation with the brothers. There’s really nothing else for Night to say.

I don’t like how we just seemed to forgive the mom, because I did not like the way she handled literally anything this episode. We had Porjai point out that Mhok had spent too much time thinking about Day, and only mentioned his job struggles as a quick aside. Yeah, we saw his issues earlier, but I feel like we should have spent more time with Mhok this episode seeing him step back into the reality of his world. In a less egregious way, this is a lot like the Dangerous Romance issue, where we switched perspectives after one or two episodes and never really went back.

You know I've been seeing alot of post of how lunar should HAVE a villian arc and I'm like, WHY? guys, remember that what if lunar was evil, and so far, all he did was break things with the star I don't think being a villian would really do anything

Lunar isn't really entering his Villain Arc.

He's more entering his "angsty teen arc" again like he was at the beginning of his revival.

Earth can't even be in a safe environment where she can have open and clear communication around Lunar, because Lunar will twist it to make it all about him.

Earth legit can not talk about how Lunar made her feel, without Lunar talking about himself when it's HER turn to talk. He legit can't help himself.

Has to talk about how the Astral Bodies might kill him, and while, yes that is important, Solar even told Lunar that we have to take it one step at a time, and talk about it another time cause that is an entirely different thing. Yet Lunar disagreed. Because it's about HIM and his feelings. Despite it was Earth's turn to talk about her feelings, and he didn't listen to her. Again. Which only serves to hurt Earth. (not intentionally. Lunar is not doing this maliciously)

Lunar is a being of emotion and someone who thinks really self-centeredly, which is why the conversation went so badly, also partly because Earth can't keep a cool head but I feel her reactions are justified, and Solar was out of the loop and had no idea that Earth is legit traumatized and scared of Lunar.

Lunar is in need of help and guidance but it really needs to be someone outside of the family.

(A desperate part of me wonders if this is how they will go back to Lunar and Eclipse reconnecting in this way. But personally, I think it's not good for Eclipse to talk to Lunar. For both of them)

Evil!Lunar from his dimension actually just blew Eclipse up cus he was sick of the abuse and proceeded to blow up everyone else too. Which I don't think Lunar is heading down that path but he's going to be very angsty for awhile.

This all sounds harsh but this is someone who absolutely loves Lunar.

I thought that Lunar wouldn't take Gemini's justified callout of him not be able to handle anything to heart, but it feels like he just can't process a lot of what they said.

Understandable as well. Lunar has a lot thrown at him right now, but this is all his own fault and it wouldn't feel so huge if he actually worked through his issues for better emotional coping skills. But if he did, he'd know how to ignore Eclipse and not kill him.

Gemini really told Lunar all those harsh things because they care about Lunar, so much. (And Lunar is just too inner focused to realize that Gemini is experiencing emotions. Probably for the first time other then their defaults, over him. Because they care for him that much.)

Lunar is also practicing self-harm. Yes, staying in the rain when it's not good for your systems rather then take Solar's offer of coming inside to just relax for a little while, is a form of self-harm.

Lunar feels like he has no control in anything, but he needs to take his power back. Not just literally. Mentally. Accept the things he can and can't control and put in the effort if not for himself at least for his family.

But Lunar at the moment doesn't want to die, but he doesn't want to live either.

Earth doesn't want Lunar to suffer, and she does love him, but she's scared with him, can't be alone with him, and she feels so worthless.

Not so fun fact. Psychologists have a really high suicide rate as a profession. It's so discouraging to see patients not take your advice, deliberately make themselves worse, and end their own lives, you can't help feel responsibility for that. Earth feels unappreciated, and not listened to, and feels like she failed. Getting close to Lunar again will only serve to hurt her, and while that might be selfish of her, she KNOWS that. She knows that her not getting close to Lunar and taking her time is ALSO hurting him. She doesn't want to hurt him either, but what can she do? If it's just going to go back to how it was before of just avoiding the elephant in the room, Earth doesn't think she can deal with that if Lunar just flies off the handle for some reason or another, or hears something he doesn't like and just runs away or worse.

Yeah this isn't Lunar's villain arc.

This is his Emo Arc. Or angst arc if you prefer.

My least favorite part about Lore Olympus is how they handled be loved characters in the myths like Demeter and Apollo. Both were powerful and highly respected Gods who weren't always the best, but had good intentions.

But Demeter is meant to be this controlling and emotional abusive mother when the most she did in the myths was not trust men? Like it's bit her fault she was just Zeus' side chick and she didn't want her daughter to have the same fate, but with that dude's brother.

Apollo was anything but a rapist. Sure he was not the best with love, but he mostly rolled unlucky with either people who didn't love him or people who died young. And Rachel makes him out to be some villain bad guy who doesn't understand boundaries instead of some god who represents ignorance. Greek mythology was MADE to explain why things happen the way they do and to explain human error, like Zeus having the human error of not keeping his dick in his pants.

BUT ZEUS CAN BE MADE MORE SYMPATHETIC, YET TWO GODS WHO WERE ALREADY SYMPATHETIC CAN'T BE?

honestly I've mentioned it in other discussions, but RS seems to just like... have a huge issue with women wanting to be anything other than a trophy wife.

Minthe doesn't want to "settle down" with Hades even though that was never her intention in the relationship and Hades is the one pushing the boundaries of the relationship? She's a gold digger taking advantage of a King and doesn't deserve to be loved.

Demeter wants to become Queen without the need for a husband and fights for the votes needed to be elected even though not a single other ruler has had to campaign for their position? She's just "jealous" of her daughter for becoming Queen through marriage and "salty" at Zeus and Hades and Poseidon because they're all rulers and she isn't.

As for characters like Apollo, they're always framed as villainous or manipulative (or outright abusive) when it's with the intent of making Hades look better. They never did this with characters like Hermes or Hephaestus because they were never interested in Persephone, but Apollo and Ares are both depicted as idiotic scumbags for the sole purpose of making Hades look like the 'better option' for Persephone. When you remove Apollo and Ares from the narrative though, and purely observe Hades based on his actions, Hades... isn't good for anyone, either. It's just really easy to make Guy A look good when Guy B is a r*pist. It's the lowest possible bar.

Basically so many characters are demonized far from their original versions for the sole purpose of pushing Persephone and Hades together, because RS doesn't know how to write a real story with real character progression. She's too afraid to give Persephone and Hades legitimate, deeply-rooted flaws or traits that would have to be challenged by the narrative in any way, so instead they're these boring self-insert projections that need everyone else to be on their worst behavior to make them look better. It takes effort to write main ship characters with real depth, whereas it takes zero effort to just make every character outside of the main ship an asshole to make the main ship characters look more redeeming by comparison.

Linked Universe as Gods (probably done before but this is my take).

Time: God of Reality

-The father figure.

-Time itself is a concept made up by humans, his real title is the God of Reality, humans are too stupid to figure it out though. They tried to explain his confusing abilities by just saying “he’s the god of the clock and he messes with time, that’s why his powers are so confusing”.

-This isn’t the truth, he actually controls the fabric of reality itself and keeps it balanced by doing stuff like creating borders between worlds and making sure things are working how they should.

-For example: if a huge piece of land got destroyed people would pray that he rewind the time in that specific area so that they could live there again. He can’t actually undo what has been done, but bending reality just a smidge doesn’t hurt. Unfortunately, mortals don’t know that is what he is actually doing and instead think he is rewinding the clock. Because of this, people got confused and labeled him as Time.

-He doesn’t use his abilities often and prefers to sit back and watch his brothers make a mess that he’ll inevitably have to pick up.

-Is, of course, the dad of the group.

-They’re actually all brothers but he’s the oldest, has a dad voice, scolds them often, and is literally called Time by the people. No way his brothers don’t call him Old Man!

-Sometimes if a mortal gets on his nerves he’ll mess with their vision and the colors they see, he may have accidentally caused a few people to go insane because of this.

-He’s sort of like the main god and the one people pray to the most often or refer to when they’re not talking about a specific thing. It’s kinda like the Hylia vs the three goddesses situation where they usually refer to Hylia yet know of the other three. They may say “Oh Hylia!” when startled but when they say are about to take a test they’d say “Nayru, grant me your wisdom” or something. Kinda like that.

-Behind his closed eye is a sight incomprehensible to the human mind, hence why he keeps it closed.

-He collaborates with everyone, as all their jobs are somehow linked to reality.

Twilight: God of Other Worlds

-Lovely piece of himbo.

-Time may create borders for other worlds, but Twilight enforces them.

-After an event where the twilight leaked into this plane, people mistook yet another god’s job as something else, meaning he ended up being called the God of the Twilight

-He is relatively unknown outside of the twilight event as his job doesn’t seem to effect mortals day to day lives (it does, without him the world’s barriers would shatter and let all sorts of creatures roam), thus he is prayed to the least, except for the Twili who absolutely worship him.

-He’s the protective big brother type figure, whenever Time is not cleaning up after the children it is him and Sky, who is the other big brother figure.

-He worries a lot over the others, especially Wild, who has a lot of issues I’ll be getting into.

-If he has no duties to tend to he is hovering over his brothers and asking if their alright or need anything. He is fiercely protective over them and whenever a mortal insults someone in The Chain or somehow causes them harm- you bet he is on their case.

-Due to events with the Twilight Realm he has a distinct wolflike form that can either be otherworldly looking Wolfie or just like regular Wolfie. Some of the others like to cuddle with him when he’s in that form (not that they don’t cuddle enough as it is).

-He only really collaborates with Time, none of the others unless it’s an emergency like the Twili event.

Warriors: God of War

-He should honestly be called God of Bias.

-His powers range from light control over soldiers to complete and utter sway in how a battle will end up.

-He is often prayed to by Kings, warlords, and generals, all of which are doing something for power or wealth.

-Warriors often completely ignores their gifts and prayers and prefers to answer to the common soldier or peasants that need a family member to return safe or for their home to still stand once the enemy takes all. This causes mortals quite a bit confusion in what offerings he takes as he seems to have no response towards monarch’s lavish sacrifices

-Soldiers often took to calling him “the God of us Warriors”, and he adopted the nickname Warriors lovingly.

-Despite being the God of War, he very rarely gets involved in the actual full scale fighting, when he does however… an entire army could be wiped out by the other within an instant, hence why rulers continue to plead towards him despite his infrequent answers.

-Other than just being an all around good guy, the other reason he prefers to not get involved with wars is to protect his fellow gods. People praying for their battle wounds to disappear greatly takes up Rulie’s time, Sky’s mailbox is already stuffed enough and he doesn’t need the plethora of messages filled with grief and mourning, and tearing apart the land for one’s own selfish desires is not doing wonders for Wild at the moment.

-He is said to be one of the most attractive gods, making him a popular topic among bars. Sometimes he’ll go down to earth disguised just to get in on gossip. There was one incident where the people there found out who he was and reported he did indeed look very beautiful. As a god, Warriors finds this hilarious.

-He is totally the mix of the unconcerned big brother and the cool uncle (though if we’re being honest he acts more like a cool aunt than a cool uncle).

-He often needs or has to give help to pretty much everyone, including Time as always and Twilight in specific scenarios.

Wind: God of the Wind

-Little man.

-Pretty young by god standards.

-He controls the winds and the currents they follow, he can also summon stuff like storms and tornadoes for example.

-He wanted to be called Breeze but people ended up calling him his normal god title without even knowing it, boring if you asked him

-Sailors and pirates pray to him a lot, people interested in war efforts also appeal to him for oversea battles. But Wind, while looking up to Time, also looks up to and is more inclined to go along with whatever Warriors’ standpoint is, so he completely ignores them and lets the wind have its own fun. Sometimes he’ll personally screw with armadas and battleships for the heck of it.

-He adores the concept of pirates and desperately wants to be one.

-He was declared (along with some of the others like Wild and Hyrule for example) too young and too brash to go down and pretend to be a mortal without heavy supervision.

-Despite this, he has totally snuck out and joined a pirate crew multiple times, and somehow let it slip to the pirates multiple times that he was, in fact, a god.

-This has gotten him in deep water before but he continues doing it for fun. He has even pulled more adventurous and fun loving gods like Wild and Hyrule down with him, they’ve been found out as gods at least once doing this and were forced to retreat before something bad happened (specifically to Wild). Every time they’ve gotten caught by their fellow gods and got into even worse trouble.

-He often cooperates with Wild for his control over birds and the ocean, Warriors because of oversea battles, and Hyrule to keep magic in the air.

Four: God of Minerals

-Even littler man.

-Basically has control over stone and gems, hence his name.

-It’s more powerful than it seems, as the planet people stand on is just one giant rock, meaning if he really wanted to he could just grow spikes everywhere and kill everyone (he may have gotten mad at one particularly cruel noble and crystallized his entire family but we don’t talk about that-)

-He is commonly prayed to by miners and monarchs seeking riches. Occasionally he’ll get a smith’s prayers, as the god has dabbled in the smithing business as well, so they also beg of him.

-Mortals were once again confused with him. At first they called him the God of Mining or God of Caves, as praying to him would net them more riches. Then the whole crystalized noble family thing happened and people begun to rethink how they perceived the god.

-Some cultists, who thought all the gods were bad, looked at this event and said that the god was too dangerous. They did a massive and costly ritual that forcibly summoned Four, their goal being to greatly diminish his power and then kill him. Luckily, Twilight, ever the protective brother, interrupted them and ruthlessly slaughtered the cultists.

-The ritual was incomplete, instead of drastically weakening the god it split him apart, meaning he had four halves that could merge into one, the colors!

-It was all very confusing and distressing when Twilight brought him back in four pieces, but they eventually figured out what was happening and how to get him to merge. Time offered to fix him but Four declined, him both merged and split preferred this and saw it as a strength (plus, his four halves were like four new brothers that they all already knew!).

-Sometimes he’ll split so he can do more work in multiple areas at once, earning the now colorfully clad god the name Four by mortals.

-Green, Blue, Red, and Vio are not as powerful split, they are still immortal and capable of great damage alone but it isn’t enough to destroy the planet like they usually could.

-The colors usually don’t touch down on Earth without fusing first, as it is more dangerous and their brothers would never allow it. They also don’t have a larger, godlike form, they only have it when merged, it’s another reason they can’t touch down without being whole.

-Four is particularly interested in the little minish civilizations that plodded their little claws along his dirt. He asked Hyrule to help him perfect a minish form in his likeness so he could be among the little creatures.

-While alone Vio briefly dabbled in the study of dark magics after talking to Hyrule and Legend about it, he tried a spell out on a big mirror and accidentally summoned a portal that brought forth a shadow version of a non split Four. The mirror then proceeded to shatter from the force of the magic trapping the being in their world.

-Shadow! Shadow doesn’t have any godlike powers or a larger form, but he does have all of his normal abilities, and he is a shadow of a god so he has immortality and stuff. Vio and him are great friends and the other colors and gods get along with him well enough. The guy usually hangs with the mischief makers like Wind and Wild while nagging the colors whenever they aren’t merged constantly, especially Vio. Even when they are merged Shadow is all over them.

-Twilight was pretty mad about the whole thing because Shadow is from another realm and shouldn’t even be allowed in their godly domain, but the others practically begged the deity to let Shadow stay, and he unwillingly obliged (the puppy dog eyes got him). Things are a bit tense between Shadow and Twilight, but they are working on it.

-Let’s just say Hyrule banned him off of spells after Vio somehow managed to accidentally summon a shadow version of his merged self, a welcome shadow, yes, but they don’t all need an accidentally summoned shadow that are almost but not quite gods.

-Four usually collaborates with Warriors for materials for weapons, Wild who has dominion over everything that lays across the rock he controls, and Hyrule to keep magic in the ground.

Wild: God of the Wilds

-Definition: Sweet, but feral.

-Wild has control of, well, the wilds: plants, animals, crops, and the entire ocean and every horrific creature that’s in it.

-Time is the main god, but Wild is considered to be the one most commonly prayed to and given gifts to by the most people. Royals, soldiers, generals, nobles, and peasants all need food, sailors and pirates need to travel the ocean, explorers need the wilderness to agree with them, and pretty much everyone everywhere doesn’t want to be attacked by animals or afflicted by disease.

-That’s another thing, his power includes the ability grow, to force any kind of cell reproduction. He can essentially make it ten times as likely to pull yourself out of a deadly disease (even when no one in this time period knows what cells are).

-He is actually the one who would most likely go down in a one on one fight as he has been significantly weakened. People constantly harming the environment and abusing the life it holds has greatly diminished his physical ability, so much so he can’t walk right in a physical form.

-Whenever a great event that destroys a lot of plant life, kills a bunch of animals, or messes with the ocean happens a new burn wound will appear on his body. Even after he helps the land recover the wound stays and ultimately scars, they’re permanent. The injuries cause intense headaches and amnesia, he has a hard time remembering things and is often confused on where he is or who the people he’s with are (this is just to bring the amnesia and scar thing into a world where they are gods in a way that makes sense.)

-His brothers freak the freak out every time it happens and go into panic mode. They were in an inconsolable state the first time it happened, a blind rage. Their screams of fury and vengeance could be heard rattling the Earth as each of their dominions began to crack (like for example: the winds would begin blowing savagely from Wind’s anguish, the ground would begin to quake from Four’s fury, barriers keeping realities apart would start to wobble and break at Twilight’s crave for retribution).

-Let’s just say anyone who is responsible for a new burn doesn’t make it out… Not that they’re dead! They’re just being tortured for eternity…

-Wild is a gremlin and will often defy the orders of the Gods and go to Earth to play in the trees and grasses. He also likes to hang out with spirits/creatures like Korok’s, Kikwi’s or The Lord of the Mountain because all of their appearances and or connections to him greatly peak his interest.

-His injuries caused his brain to grow scrambled, he acts very childlike, loses focus often, and wanders around lost a lot of the time. (This just serves to make his brothers even more panicked when he’s wandered off to who knows where).

-He gets relief from their constant eyes whenever Wind or Hyrule pulls him down to Earth to do stuff (until they’re ultimately caught and punished by being squished in the cuddle pile).

-He often cooperates with Wind for the birds and sailors, Four because most of his stuff relies on the rock and dirt beneath it all, Warriors who keeps the devastation at bay, and Hyrule to keep magic in nature (and because he wants to learn about the magic critters).

Legend: God of Prophecy

-Touch-starved idiot who refuses to admit he’s touch-starved.

-He’s technically the God of Dreams who just so happens to be able to see in the future, but after an incident involving a powerful, almost godlike being known as the Windfish that may have messed with his power and brain, he prefers God of Prophecy now, meaning he was more than happy to accept the name Legend from the people.

-He can will himself to appear into the minds of those asleep, from there he can give them predictions of the future. He also occasionally gives general advice but he isn’t that good at it and often just offends whoever he is speaking to.

-He is the god that is depicted the most accurately in paintings as he is commonly seen in people’s dreams. The others to be most accurately represented are Wild, Wind, and Hyrule, but that’s because they’ve been caught so many times. And it’s only their mortal forms accurately depicted, not their true ones, Legend has both of his forms being depicted accurately.

-Pretty much anyone seeking guidance will pray to him, though it is likely he only appears to those who actually need it, or those that he deems needs a good slapping to the face.

-His schedule gets pretty full during wartime, which he despises because he has to hang out with Warriors and Warriors is the WORST.

-He will sometimes scour the future to see if he can prevent any major events that may harm the land and, in return, his brother.

-He is very negative about his powers and god status- especially after the Windfish- but when asked if he’d give it up he’d say “You’d think these idiots would let me leave?” Which translates to “And leave my brothers? Not for the world.”

-He occasionally goes down to dance and sing among people, he finds festivities somewhat fun and tries to inconspicuously introduce a few to his brothers so they can all do them together (he is almost always called out by Warriors or Wind, they all end up playing card games until someone gets frustrated or Sky deems it nap time and flops onto his closest victim brother).

-He made friends with the mortal Ravio, our lovable scammer who cosplays as a purple bunny, along with his weirdly shaped bird, Sheerow. Ravio doesn’t yet know his new friend a god, but he does know Legend has incredible power after the god helped save him and his wares, the bunny admired him and started calling him “Mr. Hero”.

-Legend sheepishly asked Hyrule to help him make a magical item that would let him turn into a bunny, he refused to tell the magic god what it was for. He also neglects to tell Ravio, who doesn’t know it’s Legend getting all the snuggles and love from within his lap.

-He often cooperates with Warriors for wartime and Sky because of the lovesick goons that take up way too much of their time.

Hyrule: God of Magic

-Sweet tooth.

-Any and all things magic, whether it be the faint, unnoticeable pulsing in the ground or great, electric staffs capable of immense destruction, it all falls under his control.

-He likes to dwell with magic creatures and spirits, his favorite being fairies. He liked them so much that he created a fairy form when he was younger (he has gotten stuck in a bottle and has been forced to reveal himself as a being of great power to escape so many times).

-His first few times dabbling in the lives of mortals was at a time where people weren’t as knowledgeable on magic. To them it seemed that his power spread throughout everything! Especially in the Kingdom Hyrule (where fairies frequented), thus, he was named Hyrule. Of course it was later discovered that he was actually the God of Magic, but the cute nicknames like Rule, Rules, and Rulie stuck so much so that the rest of the boys never really stopped calling him Hyrule, even when the mortals moved onto Magic.

-He is often prayed to by magic users, wanting to learn or gain power from him, and explorers, hoping to find powerful artifacts or new and exciting magical creatures.

-His domain also blankets potions, meaning he is often seen as some sort of god of healing which fills his mailbox up during wartime. He isn’t really, magic just sometimes falls under healing categories as well. Wild is closer to a healing god than him for his ability to decimate disease.

-Hyrule goes down to Earth the most, to explore and wander. If he wasn’t so concerned over Wild he would bring him for his longer explorations, instead they only stay out for a few days when together.

-Rulie gets a lot of people praying to him over the wrong things as they don’t know how magic works.

-There are so many joking prayers (that people don’t realize are also sent to their gods along with the genuine ones) for him that he finally lost his cool, he brought down massive lighting strikes in front of every castle in every kingdom as a warning to STOP SENDING HIM FAKES!

-He collaborates with Wars during wartime, Legend to help push his future sight further with magic, and Four, Wild, and Wind to keep the magic everywhere alive and balanced.

Sky: God of Emotion

-The snuggle bug.

-He’s only called Sky because there is a saying that when you look up and stare past a rainbow’s alluring visage you can see his face smiling (you can’t, but the nickname was cute so he took it).

-His power may not sound strong at first but if he really wanted to he could manipulate the entire world, both animals and sentients alike, to bow at his feet. He would never, but the possibility counts.

-He does his best to wrangle back wars started over emotions and keep things at a balanced peace, his influence can only go so far however and once something happens that’s it, no love can stop the armada heading to the zora domain.

-He is primarily prayed to by the Gerudo who wish to find a loving husband. In fact, he is mistaken for a love god often. He gets SO many infatuated prayers of hopes for blossoming love, enough to be ahead of both Time and Wild in the ‘most prayers department’ if the gods were to consider them all serious ones.

-The amount of times he has heard his name screamed, looked at what was happening, and saw something not appropriate is a billion times too many and has traumatized him in some capacity.

-Unlike Hyrule he has never gotten mad about it even if his situation is arguably worse. How can he ever get mad at mortals? They’re so cute! That didn’t mean he didn’t get tired of it though, he was plenty done with the lovesick prayers.

-He favors the gorons as they never really stuff his mailbox full of love letters (he also doesn’t have any idea if they fall in love or how they repopulate- which is good! He doesn’t want to ever know, he has seen too much as it is).

-He sometimes slacks on his job and lets his head drift among the clouds before being shaken awake by one of his brothers saying he is slacking and that he’ll get no cuddle time if he sleeps through his work.

-He’s totally the soft teddy bear brother while also sorta being a mom friend. He will give his brothers all the snuggles (and refuse to let them go) in the world while also being worried sick over their well being.

-He has literally told Wind to go to timeout before, isn’t that the most mom thing ever?

-He needs help from Warriors to keep kingdom relations in check and with Legend to keep whoever the dream god is visiting calm during whatever offensive bull Legend is going to spew about them to their face.

Lucifer agere headcanons

He tends to regress either very little, 1 or younger, or regress to a middle space around 10 with no real in between

He has a much harder time with his regression than his brothers and does it very rarely

Lucifer is a prideful man and hates the vulnerability that comes with regressing, especially because his regression age can get so young. He feels like he needs to always be big so that he can take care of his brothers

He has a bad habit of pushing his regression off as much as he can so that he can take care of everyone else. He has such a strong will that he rarely slips unless he is 100% alone with no chance of anyone needing him

Logically he knows there isn't anything wrong with being little but it hurts his pride that he needs it. He thinks that if he were just a little stronger, just a little better, he wouldn’t need regression at all and it frustrates him endlessly that he relies on it so heavily

He has an easier time regressing to his older age because he still feels somewhat in control

When he’s in his younger headspace he becomes somewhat helpless. He can barely walk and fine motor skills are almost gone

When he’s in his babyspace he doesn't have any real control over his emotions the way he does while big or even while in his older headspace

Lucifer will go completely nonverbal in his younger headspace and ends up crying or babbling to communicate his needs and becoming very frustrated with both himself and you when he isn’t understood

Since he usually regresses alone his younger self is not used to having someone there to take care of him. Once he has had a taste of having you there to care for him he can’t get enough and becomes very clingy.

Little Lucifer tends to have issues with his memories and generally gets memories from when he’s big in blurs or flashes which he quickly loses hold of. He knows how he feels about things but the actual reasons why often escape him

Naptime is huge for Lucifer when he’s regressed. Because it’s one of the few times that he physically can’t get any work done he doesn’t feel guilty for getting the sleep he desperately needs and on more than one occasion Lucifer has spent his entire regression fast asleep

If you carry him and he will hide his face in your shoulder in embarrassment to avoid having to look into your eyes but he really does like it

If you are watching him he will do bathtime. When Lucifer trusts you enough to watch him while regressed it means he trusts you with everything and this includes bathing him while he’s tiny

Little Lucifer loves music and has several records that he likes to have on specifically when he’s little.

He isn’t a very active little all things considered. He does so much every day that when he finally allows himself to regress he doesn’t want to do anything that takes a lot of effort. This, combined with the fact that he won't regress outside his room, means activities are somewhat limited

His favorite snack is poison apple slices with honey and and warm milk

If he’s little he won’t leave his room so unless he has snacks tucked away or you are watching him and willing to run down to the kitchen he doesn’t usually eat while little

He loves when you bottle feed him. He finds it incredibly soothing to be held close to you while he eats

He has one stuffed animal that you got him after learning about his regression which is a peacock and a baby blanket that he loves to be swaddled up in. they are his biggest comfort items when small

On his own he will remove a few of his layers and let himself be less formally dressed when little. If you are there taking care of him he will let you put him in almost any outfit you want as long as he thinks it looks good

Lucifer started using a paci when he started sucking his thumb while regressing to try and avoid that particular habit. The downside is that he often times finds them to be yet another frustrating roadblock to making his wants and needs understood

Getting him to wear diapers while little is the biggest struggle. It’s the thing he feels most insecure about regarding his regression and for a long time he decided it was better to have to clean his sheets every time he regressed rather than risk being caught purchasing or wearing diapers. Even with a caregiver he trusts it’s terrifying and deeply embarrassing for him and being changed usually results in him crying. With a lot of praise and comfort he is learning to accept it though

Absolutely no one knows about his regression besides you. Barbatos has his suspicions but he would never let Lucifer know about them out of respect for the man. He only told you after you two got together and made a pact because he didn’t want there to be anymore secrets between you

He started regressing shortly after the fall when the weight of becoming a demon, loosing his sister, birthing satan and adjusting to his new life became too much

mechverse?? do you have mech pilot ocs? may i hear about them?

yes! mechverse / comatose machine is a verse centered around mech pilots set on another planet. the planet is incredibly large, far larger than our own, and one of its most prominent life forms are known to the humans as Omicron, fantastically large aliens that are very, very hostile to humans. the humans occupy a very small portion of land on the planet, leaving the rest to the Omicron and the natural fauna and flora of the planet, because Omicron seek out and attack human settlements - making it dangerous for humans to strike out and live in undefended areas. in order to counter the threat of them, huge mechs piloted by teenagers, connected by a fluid known as lambranide, fight the Omicron.

currently we have 3(4) main characters:

willow/will: he's a young prodigy, talented at managing the software and ground control parts of fighting. he loves fashion and video games and mechs, and finds it very difficult to talk to people or make friends with them. he's essentially on his own and has been for years: he was abused by the previous director of the base he works on, and this has made him suspicious of adults. although he cares about the pilots, he feels too alienated from them to fully exercise this care, and is often the target of bullying from them. and he's very much in love with leo. he's obsessive with the handful of interests he has (kawaii things, fashion, video games, mechs, and leo) and will go to great lengths for them, but he can be bitter, jealous, and spiteful when provoked.

asphalios/leo: he's the oldest pilot on base, at the decrepit age of 18. his older brother was also a pilot, and he resented him for many reasons, until he died piloting and his father immediately drafted leo into the pilot program. he was also abused by the same director who abused will; it's how they first got to know each other. despite the fact that they killed him together, though, he has little love lost for will. leo is not a great offensive pilot, but he's an excellent tank/defender/support, diverting aggro for the other pilots he's working with so that they can score kills. as such, his kill score is very low, but he's one of the most valuable pilots on the base. being older than most, the other pilots also look up to him outside the field for the attention and care they can't receive from their families anymore. however, long-term piloting has taken a toll on leo's body, and he's chronically sick & in pain. despite this, he forces himself to maintain a calm, supportive outlook at odds with the constant crisis he's having on the inside.

alexander/alex & xan: alex is a prodigal young pilot with so many issues. he's obsessed with his kill count, with battle, and with fame, and finds it impossible to connect with anyone, even the other pilots. he's reckless and a little bit stupid, putting himself in risky situations that can have terrible outcomes for him without regard for the consequences, and in some cases because the consequences are liable to be catastrophic. he thinks piloting is amazing and easy and the best thing ever, but he's desperately afraid of people finding out that he doesn't remember a fucking thing about his own missions, because;

his alter, xan, is the one actually piloting. xan hates it, though, and finds it agonizing to kill the omicron. he does it because he doesn't have a choice and he knows it, and because when he's on the field, the path to success presents itself clearly to xan, but he hates it to the core. xan is incredible at connecting with his mech, because he's unafraid of - or eager, in fact, for the depthless surrender that syncing demands. xan is ruined by the fact that he can't do anything but pilot and he hates that thing. he's more socially perceptive than alex but keeps the majority of his observations to himself, and doesn't front unless he has to. not even alex is aware of xan's existence. xan yearns for invisibility and oblivion, freedom from pain and desire and death, but he continues to exist despite his best efforts.

mechverse / CM is a WIP, which means these characters are less than a month old and will probably change a lot over time. these aren't even all the characters we're going to have, though we don't yet know what the future holds :3

Petrichor Boys’ Vibes

I basically made this with the hope that you guys will kind of understand the vibe of each boy that I am trying to create. Their personalities if you will. I have added a small description of each boy and their vibes, along with a vague description of their bond with the mc because it keep s growing and evolving as their relationships grow.

I hope you enjoy and see the boys they way I see them in my head when writing😊

Namjoon

Our handsome pack alpha. He is the pack alpha for a reason, giving off a dominant and powerful aura to anyone he comes in contact with. But he is, as described by our mc, “a huge teddy bear alpha”. He is extremely protective of his pack and constantly needs to know that his mates are okay, utilizing the pack alpha link he has to check in with them. He is observant, like Yoongi, and has no qualms with hiding any threat to his mates, taking care of the problems only with the help of Jin, who is very charismatic.

Jin

The eldest mate, and arguably the most dominant one. He is the face of the pack, in the media and outside. While Joon is pack alpha, you could consider Jin to be the second in command. He has a dangerous aura, and comes off incredibly intimidating. But, he is the first in the pack to truly bond with the mc and make her feel safe. He is silent, but deadly when he strikes, as seen with the mc’s sister and brother in law.

Yoongi

Our blunt and “give no fucks” alpha. Seems cold and intimidating but is really the softest bean ever. He makes the mc feel comfortable and free, helping her to ease into her more base instincts and eventually, become one with her omega. He is very blunt, having almost no filter when it comes to pleasing or flustering his mates. He is a pleasure dom, truly just wanting to see his mates in the height of their pleasure.

Hobi

Our sunshine, one of the most intuitive alphas. He is extremely connected to his alpha and the two are often both present in any given situation. He is the mc’s confidante, the one who seems to understand her depression and anxiety the most. He is extremely observant of people, quiet, yet outgoing as he tries to truly understand the people around him.

Jimin

Our favorite teasing alpha, just like Hobi, who is also very in tune with his alpha. He tends to let his alpha take control more often, not seeing anything wrong with the carnal and almost feral love he has for his mates. He, like the mc, has some self worth issues, which the both work on together. He is very cuddly and bubbly, but the second he senses something wrong with his mates, he switches into a very dark, feral aloha who will do anything to protect his mates.

Taehyung

Our sweet and goofy alpha. He loves to make his mates laugh and ease the tension in their bodies. He bonds with the mc over their love of movies, and helps her with her sense of fashion, helping her to find things she loves instead of what she thinks people would like her to wear. He might not seem like it, but he is in tune with his mates’ needs and his love language is physical touch and acts of service.

Jungkook

Jungkook is the youngest alpha, but his protective instincts are greater than the other alphas. He and the mc have slightly similar backgrounds, their trauma is a bonding moment for them, especially when he mc finally opens up fully. He understands her ptsd, and helps her to feel safe and protected. He has a strong aura, and is one of the mc’s go to when out in public. He and Namjoon are the two who she will cling to when others are around. However, he is also extremely goofy and playful with the mc, the both of them finally feeding into the child inside and healing their inner child together.

Bruce/Batman - Gritty or Gentle

There's often a lot of bickering about Batman's character.

Whether he should be cruel or kind, his stories gritty or gentle.

His character a serious man with a heavy weight in his shoulders but who handles it well; or a paranoid, toxic and controlling man trying to do good.

I've enjoyed or at least engaged with both incarnations and found worthwhile stories in both. The nicest Batman outside of things like Adam West would be Batman 2004, while for the more cruel Batman, well there's plenty of comics XD

Having enjoyed both, I think I found a way to contextualize why I tend to prefer my Batman to be kind of a fucking mess in comics but can and do really enjoy the more chilled out versions like 2004's in other media.

See, when Batman was first conceived of he didn't have a tragic backstory. You didn't need a reason to go beat up corrupt cops and mobsters, that was just what cool swashbuckling people did or should do.

But when they did give him a backstory it was that he lost his parents was raised by a relative and resolved to fight crime; then supporting character Alfred got retconned in as his parent ETC, you know this part.

The thing is, during this period, while he could be odd and or rather stiff. He wasn't like, a huge asshole or anything, or notably abusive outside of like, stuff that was normalized like spanking which wasn't that omnipresent anyway.

(He did kill that guy one time in an early comic, but if you wanna call that early installment weirdness I'll allow it cos its not very relevant.)

What matters is that there is enough there that I could easily see Bruce and Dick coming to have tension down the line with Bruce not really knowing how to handle Dick growing up and beyond their comfortable dynamic, even if he does try to handle it well. Especially as he likely struggled with being able to slip into the role of a parent.

IE, he and Dick are partners, mentor and student, friends, brothers and father and son. Which is a lot of emotional weight and also means when Dick starts growing more independent I could easily see Bruce bracing against it even if things never escalate to estrangement.

Then Jason is introduced and he gets a Bruce who is much more equipped to fill the parental role without uncertainty, and things seem fine.

But there's also some issues.

Some tied to the occasional misstep on Bruce's part and some of Jason's unaddressed trauma.

But others problems emerging could easily be be tied to Bruce being, ya know, affected by seeing so much crime for so long and also engaging in violence so often that its starting to change him.

Not to a degree where its unmanageable but definitely a problem.

For example, both he and Jason beat the ever loving fuck out of perps who upset them after getting too emotionally invested in a case. Both of them off, not just Jason.

This could have been dealt with, overcome, maybe even a vacation like he took post UTRH.

But then Jason dies.

Now he's traumatized all over again but this time its a parent losing his child rather than a child losing parents but still having a safety net in the form of other family/adoptive family.

Its something more explicitly 'his fault' because of the Robin business and how they ended up there.

Its something he does not have over a decade to come to terms with, process or grieve because he has to get right back into the fight to get Joker and then he doesn't stop.

So his and Dick's relationship starts decaying as Bruce starts lashing out more.

He does so because he has become more and more desensitized to violence and its use as a means to solve problems and coping mechanism that its becoming ingrained instinctual.

He's exhausted, grieving, filled with direction-less anger and isolating. So he doesn't have the chance to start getting better. In part cos there's no one who can really make him do so given the independence, resources and skills he has available and due to his personality always having been stubborn and strong willed.

Because even before he became as fucked up, he was still a very willful person. Its not like he told his uncle his plans or let Alfred dissuade him from becoming Batman. So he's always had an element of being if not isolated, inclined to keep his thoughts to himself and push through resistance to his ideas.

Which could and is easily made much, much worse by these traumatic events and lack of healthy outlets.

After which its basically a case of increasing paranoia from all the ongoing threats, nominal improvements with a somewhat expanded support network. Follow by steps back, steps to the side, good days and bad days.

Events like Stephanie's death, Tower of Babel, his crime control plan and Jason's return all reflecting and enhancing his ever compounding trauma and unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Put simply, I can totally see why Batman would become the kind of person he does in a lot of his more unpleasant comics, and I feel its relatively coherent.

Certainly more so than just ignoring it all and framing him as this emotionally intelligence sweetheart who's all about getting rid of police and prisons with perfect and uncomplicated relationships with those he loves.

1. What memory would he rather just forget

I can't tell you that because it hasn't happened yet :)

3. Fatal flaw and is he aware of it

Feels some emotions so intensely that they become irrational, and others almost not at all. For example he has a hard time feeling and expressing empathy and remorse for strangers or acquaintances and by extension has trouble forming close bonds (his whole life not just during the apocalypse). But he experiences anger, jealousy, and pride to such an extent that they cloud his judgement. He also by default is so self loathing and insecure that any sense of pride ego or accomplishment is addicting. This can cause him to pretend to be overly confident to a point where he comes off as a dick or just full on put himself in danger by being overly cocky for the sake of adrenaline.

He's????? Somewhat aware of this. I believe denial may be the word 💀

5. How far is he willing to go to get what he wants

Mehhhhhhhhhh this could potentially be spoilery?!?!????? And it really depends on the specific situation. He has low empathy and a wacked up sense of morals but he's generally a good person. Things like theft and lying to strangers are on the table no question even before the apocalypse but it would take soooo much to get him to do anything drastic. However its easy to get under his skin and manipulate him due to how intensely he feels negative emotions and praise, and its probably easy to break down and brainwash him *cough cough* but you didn't hear that from me :3

8. Would he ostensibly be able to get away with murder

I really don't think so 😭 first of all I'm not convinced he COULD kill a person, but like if he WERE to kill some non-infected person?? You know how Raskolnikov would get so anxious when he heard discussion of the murder that he got physically ill and would pass out?? And would get so scared of being caught that he would just impulsively confess?? Yeah. That's this bitch. Painfully obvious, which is extra funny cuz he isn't even a bad liar by any means, he's just dumb and guilty. Bonus points tho if no one suspects him despite it all for some reason, just because I think that's hilarious.

11. Weapon of choice, has he actually used it

His taser is his favorite but it's not all that effective against zombies, it's mostly for non fatal defense against other survivors or animals, so he doesn't use it all that much. His other two weapons are a crossbow and a crowbar, he uses both a lot obviously.

17. What's the worst thing he's been put through story wise

19. How does he act when enraged

Ok well Gingerstorm is Anger Issues Central for starters. He's very quick to anger and an explosive type, throws and hits things, yells a lot. If really angry he'd probably just go outside and smash things till he feels better. Afterwards he's very "lmao ok so anyways-" He would never ever physically take his anger out on Greenstripe or the cats, Greenstripe would have to do something that crossed a huge line to Gingerstorm personally in order for him to hit him and even then I don't think he could. However there have been times where he slipped up and yelled at him, which he immediately apologizes profusely for, but even that is a rare occasion. While he's not good at controlling his anger in general, he's pretty good at not taking it out on those he loves.

20. Does he have a tendency to get jealous and if so how does it manifest

UH YEAH. How it manifests depends on the type of jealousy. When it comes to something like thinking someone he's close with likes someone else better than him, he's irrationally easy to set off. Like the slightest shift in vibe has him rethinking his entire worth to that person. This he feels the most intensely but tends to bottle up and and just kinda self loath in silence. He may get more clingy and affectionate or completely shut himself out for the sake of "not bothering" the other person since they "don't want him", it's kinda a 50/50 shot as to which he'll do. Either way he's just being dumb and it doesn't take much at all to reassure him, a little bit of affection and a few kind words and he's like "oh lol I was just being dramatic, anyways"

Now jealousy as in like "this person has something that I want" he doesn't usually care that much, like he's jealous but not enough to do anything about it.

If he's jealous of a specific person because like? He sees them as the embodiment of what he wishes he was, or he feels like they're replacing him (wether this be in a relationship or just like "hey that's MY thing you're stealing my vibe") he'll hate their guts. Probably irrationally, but he'll be the most petty mf.

21. Does he have any illnesses or disorders and how does he handle them (TW for mental illness talk and brief mention of suicide)

Chronic joint pain 😔 it's manageable most days but there's days where he can barely do anything. He pushes himself to the limits all the time but there are days where he may need help walking, and he feels stupid for so and apologizes a lot to whoever is helping him (literally who would it be other than Greenstripe 😭) he also denies to rest a lot but Greenstripe would probably force him once he starts going "ow ow fuck ow" every five seconds.

Mental - bro for sure ADHD, aspd, depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, symptoms of psychosis, and dissociation/derealization issues. He may also have bpd but there's no psychiatrists in the apocalypse who knows [shrug] just know he displays most of the symptoms. A lot of it is caused or amplified by the apocalypse, but he wasn't exactly ok beforehand either

He has a generally "fuck it we ball" mindset about most of it and will even deny that he's not ok. Again, it's the apocalypse???? Yeah he's gonna be kinda fucked up???? He finds it manageable, but when things DO get really bad they may result in some weak half hearted attempt to take himself out but he feels too much guilt towards the idea of leaving his friend and cats behind in a literal apocalypse to commit to it. He just lets himself get busted up a bit and then goes home like nothing happened.

All that being said he's much easier to keep happy and healthy than he is to actually spiral since he finds a lot of joy in the simplest pleasures, he just has this underlying "dawg I hate myself and am scared all the time" mentality that came free with the zombies. He's also a clown around so that I can avoid reality kinda guy

23. What emotion is the hardest for him to process. How about express

Process - grief, sadness, loneliness, helplessness, pain in general

Express - sadness, helplessness, frustration, love (in a coherent way, he's very affectionate and babbles "I love you"s a lot but is a mess if he tries to put it in words beyond that), overall VERY bad at putting his emotions into words and intentionally acts like a loud fool to avoid them

frazzlefurs backstory is she was born and raised in windclan with her brother lightkit (lightbelly), her original name was sleekkit , mother unimportant, they were twins very close very affectionate and caring , spent all their time together and trained together etc etc . as an apprentice, under their fathers guidance, lightpaw began training in the dark forest. he and sleekpaw were both very shy and timid and sweet, and lightpaw hoped to become a stronger "better" warrior to match his fathers expectations. feverthistle - their father, that is -, was the total opposite of the two; huge, strong, scary. he was loving , but stern . he wanted his family to be the best they could be, even if that meant making a few "less accepted" choices they couldnt tell their clanmates about. lightpaw agreed with him. reluctantly. it was never brought up by feverthistle himself to sleekpaw . she was too small, too sweet, too rational - she couldnt understand it the way lightpaw would. she'd turn around and tell pumastar the second she knew, feverthistle thought. she-cats were just like that, he thought.

when lightpaw first broached the subject with sleekpaw, she was horrified, putting him down about it. begging him not to go. he said he wouldnt. he lied. sleekpaw was his best friend, and him, hers. he wouldnt want to ruin their relationship. maybe feverthistle was right, and she just couldnt understand.

things returned to normal slowly. sleekpaw pretended to forget about it. if she never acknowledged it, it never happened. lightpaw was still her brother. her best friend. her safety net. everything would be okay.

lightpaw didnt bring it up again. feverthistle didnt, either.

sleekfur was a hard-working cat on her own. a bit too timid, a bit of a poor fighter, but she was sweet and dedicated and well-meaning. shes a bit too idealistic, a bit controlling. far too non-confrontational. she didnt have many friends. she just wanted to keep the ones she had to be safe. in a society like the clans, your only goal in life has to be to serve your clan. you cant have many aspirations, many dreams, many anything. the possibilities are quite limited, actually. she had dreams of being a leader, though. of defending her clan and taking them to gatherings and watching her warriors fight and love and die and thrive under her leadership. sleekfur liked the idea of that. of the attention, too.

only a few moons after their warrior ceremony , the issue of lightbelly and the dark forest returned again. an overheard conversation between him and their father, maybe. late at night, far out on the moor where nobody could hear, she confronted him. it wasnt received well. the confrontation turned into an argument, into a fight, into death. lightbelly didnt see why it was her business anyway, and maybe she was just jealous feverthistle liked him more, and maybe that was just what she-cats were like, and that was what he told her. and when she just wouldnt let well enough alone, he lashed out. but he never meant to hurt her. promise. it was just too fast, too sharp, too sudden and too violent and she was bleeding out at his paws and he didnt know what to do and nobody was there to help him and he ran away. back to feverthistle. back to safety. and he told him everything, and he begged him for help. feverthistle left. lightbelly confessed. well, not entirely. it was a rogue who'd killed her, and as they held her funeral, thats all he would say. a rogue had done it. an outsider. not him. and feverthistle was nowhere to be found.

obviously, this was because feverthistle was in hell, making a pact with dark forest cats to bring sleekfur back to life. to sell his soul, and his sons soul, and her soul, to them eternally. if she would just come back and be alright.

at her funeral, it worked. she rose. a few hours too late, but, almost good as new. the scent of death hung with her. and with confused eyes, and fear in her voice, she asked for help. from her brother, who couldnt quite meet her gaze. from her clanmates, who watched with terror and disgust . from her absent father. and nobody helped.

and nobody will acknowledge what happened, but they wont acknowledge her at all, either. sleekfur - frazzlefur, she changed her name, may be alive, but shes treated like a ghost all the same. maybe she wouldve been better off staying dead. lightbelly will talk to her, but he doesnt have anything to say. feverthistle never cared for her as much anyways.

frazzlefur is only an omen of bad things to come. not a miracle. rising from her grave and stinking of death and claiming she can see spirits from generations past isnt something most cats like to know about. not the type of cat to hang around with. theyre scared. they dont want to help her. they dont want to be next.

frazzlefur has to figure out her murder on her own. and the answers right in front of her, but she cant quite deal with that, either.

Twitter’s privacy and security teams are in turmoil after Elon Musk’s changes to the service bypassed its standard data governance processes. Now, a company lawyer is encouraging employees to seek whistleblower protection “if you feel uncomfortable about anything you’re being asked to do.”

The company’s chief privacy officer Damien Kieran, chief information security officer Lea Kissner, and chief compliance officer Marianne Fogarty have all resigned, according to two employees and an internal message seen by The Verge. Kissner confirmed their departure in a tweet on Thursday.

In a note posted to Twitter’s Slack and viewable to all staff that was obtained by The Verge, an attorney on the company’s privacy team wrote, “Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love.”

The FTC reached a settlement with Twitter in May after the company was caught using personal user info to target ads. If Twitter doesn’t comply with that agreement, the FTC can issue fines reaching into the billions of dollars, according to the lawyer’s note to employees.

The note goes on to say that its author, who The Verge knows the identity of but is choosing not to disclose, has “heard Alex Spiro (current head of Legal) say that Elon is willing to take on a huge amount of risk in relation to this company and its users, because ‘Elon puts rockets into space, he’s not afraid of the FTC.’”

Musk’s new legal department is now asking engineers to “self-certify” compliance with FTC rules and other privacy laws, according to the lawyer’s note and another employee familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity to speak without the company’s permission.

The employee said this week’s launch of the revamped Twitter Blue subscription disregarded the company’s normal privacy and security review, with a “red team” reviewing potential risks the night before the launch. “The people normally tasked with this stuff were given little notice, little time, and unreasonable to think it [the privacy review] was comprehensive.” None of the red team’s recommendations were implemented before Twitter Blue’s relaunch, the employee said.

Musk has signaled that one of his first priorities is rebuilding Twitter’s infrastructure. During a Twitter Spaces audio conversation with advertisers on Wednesday, he said that he wanted to redo the company’s software stack so that the same technology is powering the relevance of tweets and ads. “We have to be adventuresome here,” he said.

In a statement shared with The Verge after this story was published, an unnamed FTC spokesperson said the agency was “tracking recent developments at Twitter with deep concern. No CEO or company is above the law, and companies must follow our consent decrees. Our revised consent order gives us new tools to ensure compliance, and we are prepared to use them.”

Former Twitter outside counsel Riana Pfefferkorn noted in a tweet that the company’s FTC consent order requires the company to do privacy reviews before making changes to the product. That same FTC consent order requires Twitter to submit a compliance notice signed by predetermined officers of the company to the FTC 14 days after a change in company control — which means Twitter owes the FTC a compliance notice today, 14 days after Musk took over.

“I anticipate that all of you will be pressured by management into pushing out changes that will likely lead to major incidents,” the Twitter lawyer wrote in the Slack message, which you can read in full at the end of this article.

On Thursday evening, Musk sent an email to employees obtained by The Verge to address concerns about the FTC consent order. “I cannot emphasize enough that Twitter will do whatever it takes to adhere to both the letter and spirit of the FTC consent decree,” he wrote. “Anything you read to the contrary is absolutely false. The same goes for any other government regulatory matters where Twitter operates.”

Here is what the Twitter lawyer wrote in Twitter’s Slack:

Twitter is a remote-first workplace, and has operated as such for years. It is a fundamental change to our employment contracts to require a 40hr a week in-office requirement. I do not, personally, believe that Twitter employees have an obligation to return to office. Certainly not on no notice (if at all). I also remind all Tweeps (at least in the US) that we have an unlimited PTO policy. All Tweeps are able to take PTO. Perhaps today is a good day to take some rest and recharge. Everyone here should also know that our CISO, Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Compliance Officer ALL resigned last night. This news will be buried in the return-to-office drama. I believe that is intentional. Over the last two weeks. Elon has shown that he cares only about recouping the losses he’s incurring as a result of failing to get out of his binding obligation to buy Twitter. He chose to enter into that agreement! All of us are being put through this as a result of the choices he made. Elon has shown that his only priority with Twitter users is how to monetize them. I do not believe he cares about the human rights activists. the dissidents, our users in un-monetizable regions, and all the other users who have made Twitter the global town square you have all spent so long building, and we all love. I have heard Alex Spiro (current head of Legal) say that Elon is willing to take on a huge amount of risk in relation to this company and its users, because “Elon puts rockets into space, he’s not afraid of the FTC.” I have heard another leader in the Legal department say that because of the tight SLA’s (of two weeks?!) between product inception > launch, Legal will “have to shift the burden to engineers” to self-certify compliance with FTC requirements and other laws. This will put huge amount of personal, professional and legal risk onto engineers: I anticipate that all of you will be pressured by management into pushing out changes that will likely lead to major incidents. All of this is extremely dangerous for our users. Also, given that the FTC can (and will!) fine Twitter BILLIONS of dollars pursuant to the FTC Consent Order, extremely detrimental to Twitter’s longevity as a platform. Our users deserve so much better than this.
