I know Tim is usually portrayed as a "thinks mayonnaise is proper seasoning" white guy, but I love the idea of mixed Tim, especially half east Asian Tim, and even MORE specifically, half Japanese Tim. Idk why it just makes sense in my brain. Every Tim I write is half Japanese in my mind even if it doesn't make it to the final product.

I also like the idea of white passing, half Korean Tim. Imagine everyone thinking he can't handle spice because they've seen Bruce trying to eat takis and he almost died, but Tim grew up with his mother's kimchi which was made to burn through solid steel and has an unhealthy obsession with spicy noodles (think buldak, shin ramyun, etc). This guy could eat California Reapers like grapes without so much as flushing and is honestly terrifying to witness (i guess this scenario would also work with Japanese!Tim, but tbh I know more about spicy Korean food than spicy Japanese food).

Reasons why I head canon Tim Drake to be Asian:

- I’m Asian

- The reasons that people have against Tim being Asian, that he fits into a bunch of stereotypes with his parents and stuff, most of that shit is fanon which makes you think that these people saw a rich kid and made him Artemis Fowl

- I know I just bashed on fanon tim but there are a bunch of fics where Tim has a minor stroke everytime he has to refer to either Bruce or Alfred by their first name and believe me when I say that is a feeling I understand

- I’m a firm believer that Bruce is the only white member of the batfam for both comedy reasons and for fluffy family bonding through learning about other cultures reasons

When I first got into batfam stuff I read somewhere that Tim drake was half Korean and I just thought ok? He’s really white passing but cool

Then I read he was half Japanese so I said okay someone is mistaken here

I looked it up and google said he’s second gen Chinese or something like that

Come to find out he’s not even Asian!? The way I’ve perceived this character this whole time is all wrong

Anyway I’m ignoring cannon because I physically cannot believe Tim isn’t half Asian I looked into it more and someone said that Jack Drake has an Asian fetish and that’s just objectively funny so I’ll believe that too
