Grazie Australia - Thanks Australia

Esattamente 2 anni fa oggi partivo per i due mesi e mezzo che mi hanno cambiata profondamente.

Sveglia presto, colazione con alcuni amici per un ultimo saluto e poi in macchina con i miei genitori verso Venezia a prendere l’aereo.

Non ho avuto paura di salutare i miei, non mi veniva da piangere, ma al momento dell’imbarco ho avuto il panico, cinque minuti di dubbi e incertezze.

Per fortuna una volta sull’aereo mi sono calmata e l’emozione era a mille.

Un viaggio di circa 27 ore, con scalo a Dubai e un continuo e fastidiosissimo rumore di motore in sottofondo. In base all’orario del paese in cui l’aereo si dirigeva venivano serviti i pasti e mi sono ritrovata a cenare a pranzo e fare colazione a cena.

Avevo una valigia che pesava la metà di me e una volta scesa dell’aereo oltre la paura iniziale che la mia valigia fosse stata persa in giro per il mondo, non avevo idea di dove dovevo andare e di chi mi sarebbe venuto a prendere, ma poi tutto è andato per il meglio, tutto è venuto naturale.

Sono arrivata a Sydney alle 22:30 circa australiane e penso di essere andata a dormire alle 2. Ero troppo agitata, troppe cose da fare e pensieri che mi frullavano in testa.

Mentre stavo in Australia sono diventata una persona migliore e da quando me ne sono andata mi è mancata ogni singolo secondo. Ma, in un anno come questo, ho sentito e rivisto in Sydney la forte sensazione di libertà e il poter fare ciò che voglio quando voglio così forte.

Exactly 2 years ago today I was leaving for the two and a half months that have profoundly changed me.

Wake up early, have breakfast with some friends for a last farewell and then drive with my parents to Venice to take the plane.

I was not afraid to say goodbye to my parents, I didn't feel like crying, but when I boarded I had a panic, five minutes of doubts and uncertainties. Fortunately, once on the plane I calmed down and the emotion was a thousand.

A journey of about 27 hours, with a stopover in Dubai and a continuous and annoying engine noise in the background. According to the time of the country where the plane was headed, meals were served and I found myself having dinner for lunch and breakfast for dinner.

I had a bag that weighed half of me and once I got off the plane beyond the initial fear that my suitcase was lost around the world, I had no idea where I was supposed to go and who was going to pick me up, but then everything went well, everything came naturally.

I arrived in Sydney at around 10:30 pm Aussie and I think I went to sleep at 2 am. I was too agitated, too many things to do and thoughts running through my head.

While I was in Australia I became a better person and I have missed every single second since I left. But, in a year like this, I felt and reviewed in Sydney the strong feeling of freedom and being able to do what I want when I want so strongly.
