This unique copy of Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is clad in beatiful copper embossings. I do not know if this was the original binding, or if it was repaired at some point by a skilled craftsperson. The spine is almost certainly original, and the style suggests that it is likely from the late 19th or early 20th century. No publisher or date appears inside the book. This suggests that perhaps the binding and title pages had come unglued. If indeed the book was repaired, the quality of the work suggests that its owner treasured it. I can assure you that its new owner will treasure it as well.
