love myself a cockroach of a character. i look at them and go ”how is that fucker not dead? they should be dead. they should be dead ten times over. how are they not?” and 90% of the time the answer is a combo of sheer stubborness and homosexuality

random cringe fail moment when i was 11 i wrote “i wanna kms” on my wrist in Romanian and my ex-bestfriend thought i was cheating for our quiz that day when she caught the writing
i told her it wasn’t anything didn’t meant anything but anyhow i haven’t died yet boo hoo, she was also convinced by my aloof funny jokester friend act and thought i was weird for not being visibly upset during our friendship and she dumped me cuz she thought i was a sociopath like i masked wayyyyy too good for a kid that wanted to kill themself every breathing moment and was actively suffering from an ED <- BROOOO I JUST REMEMBERED SOMEONE THOUGHT I GOT DIABETES FROM MY SUDDEN WEIGHT LOSS hahahah it was the trying to kill myself slowly and loss of appetite from the depression suicidal insomnia body dysphoria (the “someone” also bullied me for being “fat”) and idk some other shit bitch was fucked up luckily during my teenage years i found this cool fun compartmentalize, forget spell and also disassociation
i dont think much was up back then tbh i can’t remember anything aside from the internal monologue of kys and the sadness was too great it fucked up my memories i think i can only remember vague timelines and snippets

Ok now we're just taking the piss right? Right?
Once again this sort of thinking is removing a fundamental character arc that makes this story what it is. A big part of Aang's journey, especially in season 1, but tbh it does return in later seasons too, is accepting that he is the Avatar, and that he's the only one who can end this war. During the whole first season he is in complete denial about who he is and what he's supposed to do, which is why in most of this season there's no sense of urgency, and then once Aang gets faced with a very real, very close deadline he panics. This makes it even more brutal when in season 3, after accepting this responsibility, he gets faced with the reality of failure. He runs away again, this time not because he doesn't want responsibility, but because he knows how heavy his responsibility is and he doesn't want to burden anyone else with it. Removing the first aspect, aka running away and denying responsibility, it in turn also removes the heavy emotion from his later arc.
It keeps surprising me that people who claim to be such fans of the original seem to completely miss the point of most of this story? Like how could you look at Sokka learning about women's rights, Aang learning to accept responsibility, and Katara's motherly warmth which happened because how young she was when she had to step into a motherly role, and think "well we should remove that." You're taking out all of character development and going purely off of plot (which isn't gonna be nearly as good without the character development!)
Atla is probably one of the most analyzed and picked apart story, has one of the most long running loyal fanbases, people are STILL making thinkpieces about this show, and you manage to still misunderstand so much???

Sad day for Martians,
Ingenuity, the ‘little helicopter that could’, the first ever helicopter to fly on another planet is down. It took its final flight on the 18th of January where one or more of its roter blades were damaged.
We weren’t even sure it was possible to fly a helicopter on Mars before Ingenuity, and yet this tiny little shoe box of a helicopter managed to fly in an atmosphere less than 1% as dense as Earth’s, flying a total of 72 times in the last 3 years, far exceeding the 5 planned flights.
Having arrived on Mars hitched to the Perseverance rover’s belly, this little guy has spent these 3 years scoutting ahead for Perseverance. But now Perseverance will have to continue its mission without Ingenuity. For the first time since its creation, Perseverance is on its own in that endless red desert.
(images of Ingenuity were taken by NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASU)

"You are, concerningly light." Red Robin stated to the civilian currently laying in his arms. "Psst," Danny waved off his concern with ease. "Don't worry about it."
"Are you sure?" The vigilante questioned. "Because I'm very sure someone your size shouldn't be so easy to carry."
Danny snorted. "And how would you know-" He then paused, looked over Red Robin and sniffed. "Nevermind, that was a dumb question don't answer that."
That time it was Red Robin's turn to snort.

The brainrot is brainrotting 🤕
Smiling Critters infection/apocalypse AU I don’t actually have a name for yet because I haven’t thought that far. I just thought I’d draw what I had in mind before it disappeared never to be seen again… 🕊️
The general premise is that after the outbreak, the SC formed their own survival group based in DogDay’s house and were doing well for themselves until CatNap suddenly got infected. Now it’s a mix of apocalypse survival and trying to find a cure + interpersonal drama because of course
