More NFL Buck, what else? Here is a bit from when Buck and Eddie first met, featuring Tommy Vega, a buddie shipper. (All things NFL Buck can be found here)

Later, when Eddie was pulling a pen out of his front left breast pocket to sign for his allocated meal from the stadium, a folded neon orange notecard fell out.  Tommy noticed it first and snatched the card up before Eddie could even register what had happen. “Thought you said nothing happened Diaz?” She unfolded the bright paper, “So you got that boys digits? And address?” “He-I- “, Buck was a sneaky son of a bitch and apparently had some very nimble fingers. Eddie blew out an exasperated breath, “He asked me to meet him after the game. Early dinner I guess, but I didn’t agree to anything, and he must have slipped that in my pocket when- “ “When he was feeling you up?” The paramedic captain snorted out a small laugh, then sobered, “You should go.” Eddie shook his head, “No, I can’t. I need to relieve the sitter, and Buckley is just your typical leather head. Probably wants to experiment or something and I’m not- “, He stopped there because ever since Evan graced Eddie with his sunshine bright smile, he’s been questioning a major (very repressed) part of himself. Within the two weeks that have passed, Eddie has managed to barley admit to himself in the quiet recesses of his mind, that he might not be straight.  Meeting up with the very person that tilted his entire world in less than hour, meant confronting that internal struggle head on. Tommy entire demeanor mollified, and a look of sympathetic understanding softened her features, “I’ve been working these games for a long while Eddie. Been around a lot of players, including Evan Buckley. From what I’ve heard, he got around when he first got here, girls only though.  Almost got kicked off the team and lost his scholarship, was given a second chance and he almost blew that too.” “He’s still here, so what changed?” Eddie asked.

What indeed changed? That will not be revealed until the fic is published. I love marrying cannon events with this au, like with Buck's history. Repressed Eddie is fun to make squirm too lol. Hope you all enjoyed!

Journal Hacking

I’m not sure if this will make sense to anyone else but I wanted to document something I’ve been trying lately with regards to planning/bujo/journaling type things. Even if only so I can go back and see what I did lol. 

So I have been bullet journaling in some form on and off since 2014. So it’s been a minute. And while I like it on the whole, it’s just not been working out for me lately. I tried a Hobonichi weeks mega and while I really like some aspects it’s just not enough room for me. My handwriting is not that small. 

I ran across a simplified GTD-like system called Ugmonk Analog and I liked the principles (even if I didn’t like the price tag) so I adapted it to my new journal. 

Ugmonk’s Analog system has three cards - Today, Next, and Someday. I’m just using notecards I have for this. I put the Today card on my cover with washi tape so I can see it without opening my notebook and easily write things down (my pen is in the loop to the side there). 

The Next and the Someday cards - along with some others are in the inside. I made the pocket by taping one of the notecards horizontally and taping the two outside sides. 

The long bit of text on the inside cover is the Heart Sutra. I like to write it on notebooks I’ll be using regularly so I pause and reflect on it more regularly. 

In addition to Next and Someday cards, I have a blank one for scratch paper and one with my ideal timelines for doing home and personal tasks. The personal side is lacking, I’m kind of in a state of transition on that so I’m unclear what I want to do regularly. The house stuff never happens all the way but I like knowing what I’d like to do when I’m adding tasks to my Today card. 

I think my favorite part of this system is the memory keeping part. It’s not super elegant or pretty but on the pack of each today card, I record any notable things about the day on the top (period, mood, fights, symptoms) with a hashtag, the weather, and then I fill the card with what I did that day. It’s been very helpful so far for jogging my memory throughout the week. I like that I can pull them out and see as many as I’d like throughout the week. I plan on digitizing them at the end of the year and keeping the last year as a hard copy. 

I keep the card in this little green box. Might decorate it soon. 

I don’t really feel like sharing my finished cards so hopefully this gives you an idea. I like that I can see what happened in a day and what I got done on one card. 

So yeah, I’m really liking it so far. I still do long form journaling (Morning Pages type things) in the notebook itself. I actually turn it so the short side is on the top and it’s kind of like writing on an A4 sheet of paper. I do that so I don’t start auto rereading old journal entries when I’m flipping through for other stuff. I index and thread anything that isn’t journal entries like I would a normal bullet journal. Right now I have some random notes for subject I’m studying, some pen and paper games I’m playing, and writing notes. 

I’m also going to add either an A6 monthly calendar or print my own calendar set up to add to the back pocket for scheduling things in advance. I know everyone uses Google Calendar but I never check mine much. So people can schedule things with me on my Google Cal but my source of truth will be the hard copy. 

Some resources I took inspiration from in setting all this up: 

- OG Bullet Journal - I’m surprised by how many people I’ve met who don’t know that bullet journaling isn’t just making your own pretty planner but an actual system (no shade to the art journaling folks, I’m just not one of them). When I say I use bullet journaling, this is what I’m using. Check for some of his more recent videos if you like it, he’s updated it. 

- Ugmonk Analog - slightly expanded to-do list system on paper; the product seems nice but they’ve actually been very supportive of people making their own knockoff versions for personal use which is cool to see

- Everbook - I think if I had more to juggle, I’d upgrade to something like this system. This guy has so many neat ideas sprinkled throughout the channel. He also really supports people making their own version. Love a good open source ethos.

or or: Hasan is the reason you're going to fail out of class, you're entirely convinced

You flick the light on at your desk, crack your knuckles, and take a deep breathe.

This exam has been weighing heavy on your shoulders, too frozen in fear to even study for it-finally talked yourself into studying, got out the highlighters and pens and notecards-ready to at least try studying now.

You opened the digital copy of your textbook, a groan coming out of your lips the second it loaded and you saw the amount you had to read-

and right on cue, as if he was planning it, deep in his basement rubbing his hands together waiting for his masterplan to work, loud music thumps outside.

"You have got to be-"

the music thumps under your feet, can feel it radiate down your body

Look, you aren't a confrontational person-really, you aren't-but this is the last class you have, so you gather up your courage and stomp across the yard

You don't even have to knock, the door opens as you stomp across the yard-Half empty beer bottles laid on their sides in the grass, stepped on cans of beers in between bushes and lining the steps

"Well, well, well-"

He smirks as he opens the door, practically takes up the entire doorframe, crosses his arms in front of his body-

"Finally decided to join our parties?"

"I'd rather pull my teeth out one by one-" You huff out, "The music, Hasan-"

"It's pretty good, right?"

He leans in to you, into your ear so he can really be heard, and you just know he can feel and see the pink on your face, even if it's dark in the house-

"Join us," He pulls on your sleeve. His voice drops, gets a little softer, is harder to hear him over the music. "Come on. Have some fun, finally."

And this isn't the Hasan you know-the loud mouth abrasive guy who's ready to fight with anyone, make them repeat themselves so he can show them what an idiot they are-this Hasan is soft around the edges; kinder. His voice drops and his shoulders slump, like he's trying to make himself smaller for you.

"If I fail, it's on you-"

"If you fail," He smirks, "I'll make it up to you. Take you out."

His voice borders on slurring, is obviously drunk, and you roll your eyes, "Turn the music down, asshole."

and before you can make a fool out of yourself anymore, you turn around and disappear

It's around 4 in the morning when you give it a rest. Eyelids are heavy with sleep, and you know you held onto none of what you just read-climb into your too small bunk, pillow pressed against your belly as you set your alarm to go off in an hour and a half, hoping Hasan will eventually give it a rest.

Walking into the classroom feels like death march; slow and steady, can feel the war drums behind you as if they're wishing you one final goodbye and thanks for the expensive tuition prices-

three hours later, one exam down (that you definitely failed)

"Hey!"

You could recognize Hasan anywhere-and no, not like that-the long hair that desperately needed to be cut, the backwards baseball cap for baseball teams and sports you know he didn't watch or know-

"Hey-you!"

and before you can stop yourself, you're throwing the chain link fence of the basketball court open, making his friend Connor, who holds the ball in his hands as he's about to pass it-pause, smirk and throw his head:

"Hasan," His voice is honey and you hate it, the sarcasm drips, "Another groupie."

Sweat makes his hair stick to his forehead but if it bothers him, he makes no effort to move it-instead stops, a smirk slowly creeps on his face:

"We can't keep doing this."

The bastard is enjoying this.

And that's enough for you.

Finding some confidence you didn't even know existed you march over to him, shoving a finger into his chest

"You're the reason I failed my biology exam."

He laughs, the kind where he throws his head back and the laugh comes back more of a giggle: "I'm the reason?"

And as you realize how much you're looking up to him to speak, noticing his freckles in the sunlight and the different colored nails on his hand as he holds a hand to his chest in mock horror-you can hear your heartbeat in your ears, can't believe you're doing this.

Like sure, you and your roommate spent months practicing what you'd both say to him to get him to shut up: the insults and how hurt he'd look but that was just for fun-mostly for when you were slightly tipsy over cheap, bottom shelf wine-

"Y-Yeah!" You shake your head, "Your stupid fucking music and-and-"

You shake your head again, before you can stop yourself from saying something stupid, show how you've been watching him-

He laughs; "My music right. Well-"

He leans down, closer to you, his voice a whisper: "Sounds like I owe you that coffee, eh?"

You want to punch the smirk off his face.

"No, Hasan-"

"One coffee," He says, "And if I say something stupid you can leave, I promise."

"You won't last two minutes."

"Try me."

It's quiet as you both stare eachother down.

"Fine. 6pm. The cafe. Don't be late-"

"Right," He smirks, "See you there, sunshine."

The sunshine is obviously a jab, but you take it as you walk away, hoping your feet don't give out as you make your way to your dorm, now having to figure out what to do with yourself for the next five hours.

For those who have been around for a while, you may recognize that this is a remake of an old pmv, and for those who have been around for a VERY long time you may recognize that this is a remake of a remake of the second PMV I ever uploaded on my channel. Before I made stuff for this channel I was already making PMV's, just loose in my sketchbook and only shown to my twin.

I had the idea for Unfinished Business long ago, and it started out as loose drawings in a sketchbook. Eventually I drew it all, and when I started the channel I decided to upload it all. The drawings in that first video are sentimental, but also make me laugh now. Years after the original PMV I remade it, and this time not only was it drawn in a better style, but I colored all of them by hand with colored pencils. And then, when I went to photograph those drawings, the colors didn't come out right. I didn't have a good enough phone camera and I had a poor understanding of lighting. It was immensely frustrating to me to post the video with the colors I had painstakingly filled in butchered, and I was never happy with the result. So, all these years later, now that I work on an ipad, I finally remade it once again but sure that the colors would come out right. For those curious I still largely work traditionally, just not exclusively. For this video, like many of my videos, I drew the original pictures on notecards and then scanned those notecards and added the colors digitally. The lineart is all done in pencil though. I'm finally happy with the results of this project. It feels so good to at last have made this something that I can fully be proud of. I hope you all enjoy it as well. For those who are new, welcome and I am so happy to have you. For those who have been here since the original videos -- I cherish you more than words can say.

online tarot cards? that would be great until I’m able to get myself a deck. what are some good online ones? -ace witch

Oh! What i mean is there are stores that sell them online. I'm not familiar with any digital ones but I'm sure my followers could help.

That said, an easy suggestion would be to simply look up the card meanings for a standard tarot deck and make one out of notecards. If you collect trading cards you can also assign meanings of your own to them, but I would suggest practicing with an established deck first for sure.
