While writing the current gift for Galaxy's finest, I thought to take a moment to thank all of the current winners of my Scavenger Hunts - it has been incredibly rewarding and fun to come up with little Easter eggs that are an amusing puzzle to fit into my fics. Obviously, at this stage, *someone* challenged me to try harder, so from now on, the Hunts will become a little more involved. Enjoy the sweet taste of victory while it lasts!

Äylcephomus (name meaning: burning messenger or they who announce our blessedness):

This particular Æylphitus breed is considered to be the first and most precious creation amongst the Hirczalotepus Tejasozuri. This majestic breed is commonly referred to as angels or heavenly beings amongst other species. However, they prefer to call themselves the Äylcephomus because this sacred name derives from their creator goddess, Äylcephinozur. They are viewed as sanctified guardians and shepherds who strictly follow a life of untainted righteousness. They have their own celestial hierarchy that ranks each angelic breed from those close to the incorporeal universe down to the material universe. Within their superlunary abode, heaven is separated by 10 concentric spheres. They even have control over the 7 terraces of purgatory, the leaders who were once angels, and their respective trials for the limbo-goers. Similar to the Tejasozuri, most Äylcephomus are given titles that associate them with a specific concept and/or living creature. Due to this customary tradition, Äylcephomus are the most common avatars of the Hirczalotepus Tejasozuri. Unlike the titans, they do have true forms and are all physically androgynous. These true forms usually reflect the personality, strength, celestial title and hierarchical breed of an angel. It’s extremely rare for an Äylcephomus to have no true form. They have snow-white or ashy skin with greyish freckles, massive wings, and somewhat porous bones to allow flight to be easier. As mentioned before, all angels are physically androgynous, but that’s in reference to their genitalia. All angels reside in male-shaped or female-shaped bodies and they have a main genitalia corresponding to their appearance. However, there are a few that do possess both male and female characteristics, but that’s more common amongst the older generation. Females possess a medium-length translucent, extremely flexible penis with spiked external glands and faint blue, purple, and orange veins. It’s hidden in a duct with two bulbous testes that can be located in front of the womb. In order to properly use it, the penis comes out of their pseudo-clitoris. Their saliva can burn through things that are naturally sinful and metamorphose their golden ichor into certain weaponry such as blades. They can also use their organic mass to heal themselves, and create barriers and certain eldritch weapons such as tendrils. They're immune to all divine-based and low level infernal abilities.

Ellie is a Clone Misunderstanding

So, I' sure most of us have seen a story/prompt or two about Ellie being on the Teen Titans or Young Justice right? Here's my question, does she tell them about her being a Clone, or does she just omit that from her resume?

Imagine a scenario where Ellie is on a mission with her team (Let's say YJ for this). They are nearly done, when she gets hit by some type of Ecto-Weapon in the middle of the fight?

She is hurt, but shrugs it off and continues the battle. In the end, the team manages to come out on Top, and they return to Base.

The others are fretting over Ellie, asking how she is doing and if she needs ant help. She's never once been hit while in Battle, her Phasing Powers are stronger than even Miss Martian, so they are understandably concerned for her health.

She tells them that she's fine, and goes off to her room to rest, telling them to drop it.

Later that night, one of her teammates goes to her room to fetch her for Dinner. They knock on the door, but she doesn't respond. After a while, they decide to just open the door and find Ellie collapsed on the floor. She never made it to her bed.

They rush her to the Medical Station, and call in the League.

While there, they try to figure out what happened, but nothing comes up with the Weapon that hit her. (They took it after the battle for study)

Eventually, they get the results back from the Doctors. Her cells are dying at an alarming rate. Her energy levels are Unstable. Her DNA is deteriorating. She's Destabilizing.

She's a Clone.

All the evidence is there. Her DNA is deteriorating because she wasn't made complete, and her Cells can't keep up with the damage anymore because of that.

If this Ellie is a Clone, what happened to the Real Ellie? When was she kidnapped? How did they not notice their friend being replaced by a Clone?!

They need answers, and unfortunately Ellie isn't waking up any time soon.

christ sometimes I just wanna. steal a time machine & go back & sit down next to my 9-year-old self and just like. let them pull out their pokemon card binder & gush about their holographic gyarados or whatever. I'd just smile & ask questions about motherfukcing bulbasaur & tell my kid self that I thought they were a neat person, & someday they'd find other people who thought so too.

I had tears pouring down my cheeks while I was driving home this morning because I listened to a podcast about the Radium Girls and how hard they fought to hold their employer to account for poisoning them, even though they knew they would die regardless, because they wanted to protect the workers who came after them. Even though their community called them liars and they were in horrible pain, they fought. And then the host started talking about how the Manhattan Project used knowledge gained from the Radium Girls to protect their workers and how the ghosts of those girls and women protected people going forward...

And it made me think of all the ghosts, unnamed and unknown, who in their death protect us: the ghosts of the Titanic, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, the Quebec Bridge, and so many others. Disasters that made us change laws and protect people, not just because they were horrific but because survivors and survivors families demanded that we change; kept screaming and fighting and pushing until someone listened and something was fixed.

What a debt we owe.
