Astarion in a relationship with Tav slowly but surely gets more used to physical touch as a form of reassurance and comfort. In Baldur’s Gate Astarion gets more anxious, Tav sensing his anxiety holds his hand. It anchor’s him to reality. He gently strokes Tav’s hand with his thumb, it’s small but he’s extremely grateful.

Everyone in the party is chiding Astarion for his sudden change in attitude around Tav though. Especially Lae-zel.

It would take a very long time, and when it happened, it would become a sort of strange codependence. Vampires stand ever at the precipice of an endless, abyssal eternity, and I feel that makes them very susceptible to the traditional and almost primal idea of a 'mate.' You have to have some sort of anchor to reality when you're robbing the mind of its one certainly: mortality. Cazador clearly chose his cruelty and dominion, and I think that and his experience is influencing Astarion to do the same, but he isn't Cazador, and he shows that-- whether he means to or not.

During the early part of their adventures, Astarion is very heavily masked, or 'chameleoned' around everyone. He has this posh, pompous air of arrogance and flamboyance, and uses his wit and snide sarcasm as a defense mechanism to keep everyone at arm's length. You can see it start to crack when he gets emotional or is surprised, or even just doesn't have things go his way. He is rash, angry, and explosive - feral almost. A fanged creature baring claw and teeth because that is all he knows, and when threatened, he reverts to his true nature, despite that it was forced on him.

For example, when he is trying to inspect his scars and you offer to help and he is surprised, he snaps on you. He is quick to apologize and rescind what he said, but that's him putting that mask back on. It's clear he is very angry and losing control now that he can finally view his situation through an unobscured lens and it's still frustrating.

He quickly realizes that he's shown a crack in his armor and straightens his spine and sucks it up for the sake of the facade. It happens a few times, but it's so, so hard to wear that heavy mask for weeks into months as he travels, and harder still to hide from someone who cares about him when he's spent so long in the dark alone.

Astarion shows fairly early on that he isn't averse to touch— just touch he doesn't approve of. Assuming you do the right things, he'll lie with you fairly early, but he makes it relatively clear that this isn't love. He'll even tell you outright that he'd say it but it's a lie. He is purposefully distancing himself because he doesn't want any distractions, any weakness, any vulnerability.

But this is all new-- so dreadfully, and terribly new. He doesn't even remember his life before Cazador, so in a sense, all he has ever known has been cruelty. Thorns and brambles hardly make for comfort, especially when they're self-imposed. Eventually, he might come to the realization that he doesn't have to go at this alone, and why should he? Eternity is such a long time to spend on one's own.

He gets nervous. He gets anxious. He pushes on but there are situations that blatantly frighten him. He stiffens his upper lip and handles it like he thinks he should-- on his own, with his fear shoved aside in his mind and his goal in front-- but would relenting be such a bad thing?

Taking comfort where he can find it: In the kindred spirit he found on the roadside. Someone who happens to be one of the only ones that knows what he's going through at the moment-- and one of the only people in the world that seems to understand him on some level. Having someone at your side doesn't have to be a vulnerability-- it can be a strength. Two blades are better than one, and life is so much easier when you have someone there to watch your back.

It's a small touch-- gentle and hardly noticeable at all-- just a subtle hand-hold, or a little grasp on the arm; standing closely enough together that you can feel each other's warmth or perhaps a tiny, inconspicuous nuzzle. It means the world to him, when he allows it. It shows him he's not alone-- and he doesn't have to be. When they can't indulge fully in each other far from the fireside of camp, he can take comfort in Tav's warm and gentle touch no matter how far from the light he must stray.

As far as he is concerned, everyone else in their merry band of men can fuck off. He couldn't care less about their opinions. Perhaps they're bitter, or maybe they're jealous and covet what he's found in Tav. Either way, they can drown in their own tears over it.

is it a real problem or are you trapped in your mind?

this one goes to my anxious girlies

the past few weeks I've been extremely trapped in my mind, ruminating whether someone would backstab me or whether a friend would leave me and of course there is no evidence of that in real life, it's all in mind. that being said, deep down i know that nothing would happen and im sure deep down you all know as well that nothing would happen. but the what ifs are so strong that you can't handle yourself practising the law.

this doesn't mean you can't manifest during this time, we always manifest, just now you can consciously manifest things you want. e.g. I wanted a psychic message from someone and I received it; I got money when I needed it; I never wait for public transport even if the app shows that it is coming in like 30 minutes (because we don't pay attention to 3d). I've noticed my anxious and extremely intrusive thoughts never manifest, especially after learning the law so I don't want you to be scared of your own mind. You, as the supreme being and consciousness ARE your mind but your mind is not you. In the grand scheme of things, the mind is unreal so what would the "3d" listen to? Some jumble of anxious fearful thoughts that do not exist except from when you aware of it or the command of God themselves?

all in your (unreal) mind:

don't punish yourself, stop harming yourself by trapping yourselves in your mind. simply drop the thought. if you find that hard, you can work on it by eliminating the possibilities but from experience, that still never makes the fear go away. the fear is so primal, so noticeable that the only way it feels it can go away for me is if I end everything and thats not good right? why would God be a victim to her character's thoughts? Why wouldn't God just change the garment?

The hardest thing is to just ACCEPT. "Just accept you have it" was the hardest thing for me to apply because soras entire life was just finding every possible solution for the worst case scenario in case people hurt her or I am seen in a way that doesn't represent her (aka being misunderstood). See how i am using her and sora to describe things I experienced? It's because I have the POWER to completely eradicate any trauma or any pain by just choosing to adorn myself in another state. I am not sora but sora is me, therefore I have control over soras experiences. You are not a victim to your circumstance, when you find the law you have the power to create your own life, you create new circumstances by adopting a new version of yourself. You are in control no matter what the unreal mind says.

I understand, I was the same way and sometimes I still revert back to it. However the thing is, who is creating whats about to come? YOU ARE! Don't you get it? Nothing can happen without your consent (once you accept your power of course). You are not a victim to circumstances. You are never the receiver, you are always the creator. Bask yourself in lovely states with lovely thoughts. It is okay if you do not believe it or if your body is resisting it, just please persevere. We can't let anxiety win. What is anxiety to a God?

COLLIDER: I'm so glad that we finally got the chance to touch base about the show.

CON O’NEILL: Yeah. It's been really uncomfortable not being able to talk about it.

COLLIDER: Izzy, as a character, really goes on a beautiful, poignant journey this season. In the beginning, Ed is Blackbeard and back to the old lifestyle of raiding and pillaging ships, but it feels like something's off. Izzy has what he wanted back, but at what cost? What was your take on that — reverting to the way that things used to be, but, obviously, there's been a shift, and things aren't quite the same?

O’NEILL: It goes back to how it used to be, but Ed’s broken, and that's the difference. Before Stede appeared, Izzy and Blackbeard worked as a unit really, really well because they were both on the same page. When Stede breaks Blackbeard's heart, Izzy and Blackbeard aren't on the same page. Basically, Izzy’s looking at a man that he loves falling apart, and all the joy is gone — not just from Blackbeard, but from piracy. He can see Ed's decline, he can see the decline in his crew, which is fundamentally really, really the most important thing to him. He can feel his own heart breaking, because he's seeing the devastating impact of his actions. So, it's a pretty bleak start to a season, but we do have fabulous make-up.

COLLIDER: It does feel bleak, especially for Izzy at times, who goes through the amputation and has to adjust to a new normal of not being able to get around the way that he used to. But it's also an opportunity to see the changing dynamic with the crew. I was really touched by the moment when they built [Izzy] a new leg. It's moving on an emotional level, but it's also proof of how far this group has come. Was it nicer to be able to play those moments of camaraderie instead of being at odds all the time?

O’NEILL: What's interesting, though, is the love for Izzy to his crew and the crew to Izzy, it's always been there. It's just not being presented in this way. The giving of the leg, I believe, is the first time in his life where he's actually had an emotional connection that he wasn't able to control. That act of kindness overwhelms it. But he's still a pirate, and the leg ultimately allows him to be a pirate again. He does change his attitude towards his crew after the new leg and after the unicorn statement, but it's also about how to navigate the new crew as the first mate. And that's the beauty of what David's written. It's not suddenly he's this new guy. He's still a bit of a dick, but he's their dick, as Vico says.

It's a beautiful human version of the story that could have been really sentimental, and I don't think we go there. He doesn't suddenly become everyone's mate. That was never going to happen. That would have been dishonest. But he just has a need for them more because he's not as physically able as he used to be, and with that comes an understanding of them. The way he deals with Lucius is very specific in that he can't give Lucius love and understanding without calling him a twat — because that's who Izzy is, but he does give him love and understanding — and that's down to David and David's choices. Remember, this is a comedy. He's done all this in a comedy. That's really profound that we're going on these routes of human stories in what is essentially a comedy.

COLLIDER: One that really stuck out to me was Izzy singing in the “Calypso's Birthday” episode, especially because it plays as a backdrop to some pretty significant moments. I wanted to ask you about the preparation process behind performing that song. Did you have to record it and also do it live on-set?

O’NEILL: I got an email from David a third of the way through the shoot asking me if I knew “La vie en rose,” which, of course, I knew, but only as I'd heard it. I was actually in Wellington filming a different show because I did a different show for a week, and I just got this message. We were just gonna sing the English version because we didn't have the rights to the French version, and I don't speak any French at all. Nothing. Zilch. And then I got the phone call. Would I be able to learn it in French? So I did. I called a lot of people, and a lot of people who say they speak French don't. But my partner does, and I have a friend who just played Piaf. So, between the two of them, they gave me an understanding of the French.

We recorded both versions, and I lip-synced to the English version first before the scene with Ned. I thought we were just gonna do a little bit of the French version for the end of the episode. I had no understanding that it was gonna play out the episode. I’m thrilled that it does, but it was terrifying. Every minute of that, from the recording of it to the lip-syncing it to the filming it, was terrifying. I haven't sung in public for 20 years. But it felt right, and it felt like the absolute right choice of song. It felt like the absolute right choice of language. I didn't want him to be too French, I just wanted him to be able to because Izzy speaks bits of every language, as most pirates would. I thought it was audacious. I thought it was moving. I thought, again, it shied away from sentimental. And I’m just in awe of how David's brain works. If you would have asked me prior to doing it which song Izzy would sing, I'd never have thought “La vie en rose,” and now I can't think of a song that's more appropriate for Izzy.

COLLIDER: I talked to David, as well, about the scene of Izzy talking about piracy in the finale, and he said it's kind of like Izzy giving his own eulogy, in a way, before what happens next. That scene where Taika is holding you feels significant for the show — not just in terms of the weight and impact, but because so much of the cast is there, and it really feels like a moment of family getting to be together. Even if it's mostly an exchange between Izzy and Ed, everyone's there to send him off. I would love to hear about the experience of filming that on the day.

O’NEILL: David sent me the scene a few weeks prior, and the date was set to film it, which was gonna be in the last week of filming. It was early on in the last week, and then it was in the middle of the last week, and then it was scheduled for the morning of the last day. Then, suddenly, it became the last thing we were gonna ever film in Season 2.

Those things aren't easy. They're quite difficult because no matter how you think about it in your head, it's not gonna play that way. We were on a set, we were on the ship, there were hundreds of crew, there was the whole cast, they were setting up the shot. It was busy. David, bless him, played a playlist to help us all get in the mood, but it's just a cacophony of noise and busyness, and we’re getting towards the end of the day.

Suddenly, it was just me and Taika. Suddenly, all the noise disappeared, and suddenly, all the process of filming a scene disappeared, and it was just me and him. And Taika is a wonderful actor. Everyone talks about his writing and his directing, and this and that. Taika is a beautiful actor to play opposite. And in that moment, we just got to say goodbye to a character that we both loved. You never get a death scene that's going to get all those boxes, but for me, it was never about what Izzy said. It was about Izzy being vulnerable enough and brave enough to say, “Sit with me.” It was about Izzy being allowed to be held in the last moments of his life. That's all I remember about the day. I’m very proud of it.

COLLIDER: I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me about the show. It's been great to finally get to reconnect with the cast and to really get to talk about Season 2.

O’NEILL: Oh, it’s my pleasure. It’s my pleasure.

COLLIDER: I’ve enjoyed your performance so much these last two seasons, and who knows? Maybe we'll see Izzy's ghost pop up in Season 3.

O’NEILL: Who knows?

COLLIDER: You can't predict anything with this show.

O’NEILL: No, none of us can, and none of us know. Literally, we are all in the dark, all of us, David included. None of us knows what's gonna happen. David always wanted three seasons, and I think this story should be allowed to run its course. I would say that because I'm involved, but even if Izzy isn't involved in Season 3, I would be heartbroken for the show if it didn’t get to conclude, because it's an important show.

I’ve said this before, but 2x20 and Dean’s djinn dream really gets me. I mean, you have Dean bleeding emotions all over the place. His wish came true, he got Mary back, and it’s almost like he reverts to being a little kid. He’s so damn vulnerable. He gets to play house, his mom’s alive, Sam is happy... but he and Sam don’t have much of a relationship, because Dean’s fear has always been that the only thing keeping them together as a family was hunting. Without that, why would Sam bother with him? Then there’s also the fact that the Dean in this fantasy is a complete fuck up. He’s a drunk who steals, cheats, and lets down the people he loves. I think that’s another fear Dean’s always had about himself. Hunting and saving people allows him to think of himself as the hero, the good guy, but without that, he thinks there’s not much to him. 

Which is total bullshit. I mean, come on: can you ever imagine the Dean Winchester we know stealing his brother’s prom date? The same Dean who would walk over hot coals to see his brother happy. The second he ever notices Sam show interest in a girl, he completely backs away. But in this djinn universe, that’s the role he casts himself in. 

Also, John is dead, which is something that needs a whole other post to itself. The one thing I will say is that when Dean has his breakdown at John’s grave, when he pleads with him and asks “Why does it always have to be me?” John doesn’t answer. And Dean’s face is really something. It’s an “of course he’s not gonna fucking answer” expression. Whatever the universe, John will always be the unknowable, unreachable deity that Dean will never really be able to please. He’ll never get what he wants from John.

And then there’s Carmen. His partner in this world isn’t someone he knows or someone who knows him. It’s a model from a beer ad with the caption “go someplace better.” She’s not real. Dean doesn’t even have a concept of what a real partner would be. Dean seems a little troubled by that when he comes across the beer ad in the magazine. Like he’s disappointed by how empty his life is that he can’t even fantasise about a real person.

I also find that really interesting in the context of Lisa. The next time we see Dean fantasise about someone, it’s Lisa. He imagines a life with her and what could be. But the truth is, Lisa’s not any more real than Carmen was. She represents Dean’s fantasy of the kind of normal life he thinks he should want, but in reality doesn’t. Initially, you could claim he’s not happy with Lisa because he thinks Sam is trapped in the cage, but even after Sam comes back, Dean’s not satisfied with his suburban life. It’s not until he rips the tarp off the Impala and heads out on the road, do we see Dean actually smile and feel like himself again. 

Anyway, it’s all fascinating, especially in the context of s14/15. Like, take what everyone in his djinn world tries to tell him to convince him to stay: 

MARY: It's everything you want. We're a family again. Let’s go home.

JESSICA: You don't have to worry about Sam anymore. You get to watch him live a full life.

CARMEN: We can have a future together. Have our own family. I love you, Dean.

SAM: Why is it our job to save everyone? Haven't we done enough?

What Dean truly wants is a family. A home. He wants Sam to be happy and to have a life that he gets to be a part of. And he wants a partner who will raise a family with him. Someone who loves him. 

The reason he can’t stay in the djinn dream no matter how much he wants to? It’s not real. 

Cut to Cas, over a decade later looking Dean in the eye and telling him “Dean, you asked what about all this is real? We are.” And to Dean point blank telling John, in the home that he shares with his brother, his angel and their nephilim son, that he has a family. He’s happy with who he is, with who Sam is. 

And fucking cut to Cas, an angel who loved Dean so much, it rewired his entire existence. Someone who saw Dean, saw all of him, who knew him to his fucking core and loved him anyway. Loved him because of all that he saw, and not in spite of it. He’s not the fuck up he sees himself as. Cas sees him as he really is: someone who loves, who lights up the world around him, 

That’s something Dean thought he would never have. In the djinn dream Dean tells Mary that he has to leave. That none of this matters because it’s not real. Mary says: 

“It doesn't matter. It's still better than anything you had.”

It’s heartbreaking, but in the context of future seasons... Dean will have something better. And it’ll mean so much more because it’s real.

Hm. Hmmm. Yeah that...is a thing that they posted. Huh. lol.

I mean. This will seem shallow, but Klaus's appearance has always seemed intentionally tied to his inner emotional and psychological (and yes, spiritual) journey--his tattoos alone attest to that--so I think I'm particularly critical of what doesn't seem aligned to his character development visually. That said, I can see how he'd maybe revert to a point in his life when he chopped off and straightened his BEAUTIFUL CURLY hair ( =_=;;;; lol) since the excruciating journey he just embarked upon in order to START seeing himself as worth more than the mastery of his powers ...has kind of been...nullified lol by losing them (I get it, it's a Gerard Way esque thing to be totally nihilistic). Klaus may feel as if he can go back to his younger years (the tennish years preceding the start of Season One) and relive them totally detoxed, harm to his brain and organs also reset, sober. And that's valid, plus I know Klaus has a penchant for going through phases to distract himself from his real problems.

Which is why I'm So Tired™ when I see the nitrile gloves. They have to be in a "still-no-powers" timeline in this shot because Luther is still not fused with ape DNA. I am guessing this is going to be some kind of dumbass ableist gag (lbr, TUA has never cared about stepping right in it when it comes to ableist tropes) a la Adrian Monk and "hoho haha, compounded, severe and complex trauma gave him germaphobic OCD!" (in Klaus's case, because he now has remembered all the murder-experiments Reg did on him in the crypt, and he's no longer immortal, so that makes him hyper-aware of anything that could kill him without his safety net). On the one hand, if this is true I'm happy he has something to lose and therefore cares about how to spend his limited remaining days. On the other hand, no, I don't want Klaus to die, I want him to still have his powers but also CHOOSE to do the work of slowly recognizing he doesn't need them to be worthy of unconditional love.

Is the potential germaphobia good writing? Probably, in many respects.

Is it what I want, because I'm a soft-touch who just wants to see her favs heal because it gives her comfort? Nah.

Is reducing Klaus and his character development to a punchline what I want? God no. I'm so tired of it. I don't care how satirical the show is. Pick on someone else, lmao. I know he's the fandom fav which translates somehow into making him the target for the worst disastrous twists, but LET THE DUMB GAY DANDELION REST.

Other thoughts: You can tell by the way he's the only one looking a different direction, Five is still the real leader, and I'm glad Luther gave up on that, bc he's Ferdinand the Bull and it doesn't suit him to be all stressed out and bossy. He picks up siblings and throws them down stairs or strangles them when he's overwhelmed, haha DDDDD: Anyway, poor Fivey never wears civilian clothes, except that One Time when he and Klaus went looking for Klaus's birthmother (they are good for each other and need to just like...get in a fucking car and leave again. LOL).

Ben and Viktor look hot but also confused which, fair, especially in Ben's case since he's a Sparrow and a moody Edgelord who needs hugs, lol. And possibly a more dangerous enemy than Reginald, which I frankly hope brings out Klaus's "I'm a big harmless sweetheart who finally snapped a la Katara bloodbending in Avatar" moment. I Need It. Literally every other sibling has had the chance at a minor nervous breakdown, come on. Let Klaus not be okay and acknowldge it to anyone who'll listen! And yeah I know his siblings all love him, I've never disputed that once. Sometimes love ain't enough, and needs to pair up with respect. Sad but realistic truth.

Finally, I wanna know if Allison has reconciled with the family and if so, how. She is fascinating and I think her villain era in s3 was 100 percent in alignment with her character development and her lifelong issues with consent (also Reginald's fault!)

This all came out spicier than I meant LOL. Im not snarking at you, anon, I swear. Thanks for sharing <3 I just expect VERY little out of Season 4. Hopefully I'll be wrong! I was similarly wrong with the Loki series, which gsve me a perfect final-arc scenario for my favorite character of all time.

dolores’ parents were so cold   &&   distant                   her mother was always busy   &&   her father was always coming home tired and worn. their marriage wasn’t unhappy, per say, but it also wasn’t lively. dolores never saw her parents exchange i love you’s, any meals they had together were often quiet and boring. they never had the time nor the energy to be loving and warm. dolores always felt coldness coming from them, even though she knew deep down they loved her. it just kinda seemed like they didn’t know how to show that, besides stepping up to their responsibility as parents.       there was no animosity in the household. I’m fact, it was pretty quiet. especially boring, routine, strict. dolores had a pretty set schedule                   go to school, come home, do homework, clean, eat, go to sleep, and get on the bus to do it all over again. it wasn’t until high school when she got a bike that she started deviating from those routines. her parents would scold her but didn’t do much else about it. as long as she kept her grades up and didn’t do insane shit, it was mostly good.       dolores was a bit too energetic for their liking, so they often ignored her and brushed her off. “ she’ll grow out of it, ” is what they often said. it didn't help that she was condemned for crying or feeling any emotions deemed too ' dramatic. ' for a while, all she wanted was their attention. and maybe that’s why she always tried to get into trouble in ways that they would know   :   stealing candy bars just to get caught, getting in the occasional minor scrap at school, talking back to teachers, staying out way too late   …   it wasn’t uncommon for her to get a ride home in a squad car. it was so ironic, her being a troublemaker and all that                   born to uptight parents who work in law or whatever, it felt like a joke that wrote itself.       once or twice, she was in the back of a squad car hearing some kind of “ your father worries about you ” talk, but she never really believed it. it became quickly evident that regardless if they paid attention or not, she was going to do whatever she wanted. so she reverted back to her quiet self, but continued to pursue her interests   …   she just took extra care to make sure she didn’t get caught. her parents were relieved that she calmed down, though she was doing far more sinister things in secret. breaking into crime scenes, stealing evidence, and illegally documenting shit isn’t exactly the problems you want with your kid. they had no idea about her zine or the fact that she was breaking into her father’s office and stealing files. not a god damn clue. the family grew rather estranged. dolores attended both of their funerals but didn’t stick around much. it felt odd to hear people offer their condolences when none of these people gave a shit before. she just smiled and said short thank you’s in return. didn’t even go to the receptions.       in result of all this, dolores grew up without much of an idea of what love looked like. she grew to resent affection and feel uncomfortable whenever she received it. she struggled with dating   &&   socializing. hook ups often ended up feeling awkward with the after - care, to the point where she would leave in the middle of night to go sleep alone. she never learned to say ‘ i love you. ’ she never learned her own love languages. she became so emotionally stunted that she’s grown to be stubborn, hot - headed, and unable to express much beside eye rolling and sneers. it doesn’t help that she’s become rather desensitized to real - world violence   &&   tragedies. as she’s grown, however, she’s tried to take steps to unlearn her behaviors                   if it means little gift giving to show she cares, so be it. anything to ensure that others know she’s there, even if she struggles with being totally present.       physical affection is something she craves but feels uncomfortable with at the same time. it takes a while for her to grow comfortable with showing any of that. whether it’s just sitting so close to someone that their knees touch, gentle touches on the arm, hugs, it doesn’t come naturally at first. but when that trust, that connection, truly builds, it’s felt 100%                   all or nothing, kind of thing. she feels it wholly, even if she tries to dampen it with sarcastic remarks. but that’s when the next fear comes in   :   being ignored. maybe that’s why she shuts people out so much ??? besides her really not knowing how to let others know she likes them in any way, she fears that the moment she does offer any kind of love, that it’ll be ignored or unrequited.       at the end of the day, it's worth noting that dolores loves receiving flowers.

Okay but I’m thinking about the Steatoda Widow Agency (Abiteth’s mother’s agency) is a backseat Agency that the HPSC only calls in for rescue assistance in the AFTERMATH of battles only - so in this AU Dabi and Abiteth wouldn’t meet until AFTER the current war arc (after everything is said and done).

TW for discussing things like self harm and referenced eating disorders below so I’m putting it all under the cut.

Anywho I was thinking about how Dabi gets rewound (only to a certain point, basically gets reverted back to before his fight with Shoto started, so he has the new scarring), and especially since Eri is still SUPER YOUNG and can only DO SO MUCH - I’m debating if Rive will be the reason that Dabi gets rewound still based on how Rive’s quirk works (this is Abi’s father btw, he is also a doctor and the figurehead of Central Hospital in any BNHA based AU and/or story I have).

Some of the villains are going through rehabilitative therapy and the chairman of this new program, after 5 months of little to no progress with Dabi, sends tapes of Dabi (and some other villains) to the Steatoda Agency because he figures that if anyone can help w/ these villains it’s the people who specialize in rescue measures. The facility also has monthly physical exams to ensure that all the patients are physically healthy, and I mean... they’re doing their best on the mental/emotional thing but some villains (like Dabi) make it INCREDIBLY difficult. Also in all of these rooms there’s basic amenities, the villains get mostly free reign of the establishment until the evening when they have to go back to their rooms - all of them have also since been implanted with quirk limiters internally so that they can’t actually can’t claw the limiters off or anything like that (doesn’t mean some of them haven’t TRIED to cut them out if they got their hands on any nearby sharp object but I digress).

The Steatoda heroes are called in after about two weeks of going over all this footage, and Hawks shows up too but the chairman of this facility didn’t actually WANT him there, and has some of his own guards keep a close eye on Hawks because he’s CONVINCED that Hawks is there to kill some of the villains (even though Hawks like, ISN’T THERE TO DO THAT and told the chairman as much, the chairman doesn’t believe him. The Steatoda heroes don’t trust him either). This is so the Steatoda heroes can observe the villains, though in this specific case, Dabi in particular because the chairman THINKS something is up, he’s just not sure WHAT.

Tl;dr Dabi, from observations Abiteth and her colleagues make after viewing the footage of Dabi’s room in particular, is doing the following:

refusing to sleep, and when he does sleep, he squeezes himself UNDER the bed so he’s out of view of the camera

sits underneath where he learned the camera is positioned therefore making it impossible to 100% know what he’s doing in the room if he’s in that specific corner (where he honestly always is)

Ofc this makes it clear he doesn’t LIKE being watched/monitored, and even though the chairman agrees that they really can’t keep watching him like this, he’s on their self-unalive watch because of all the villains, he is the one who was most notoriously desperate to take himself out (this is why the chairman enlisted the help of the Steatoda Agency in the first place).They watch all the inmates eat lunch after this and Dabi is behaving p normally for someone who is hungry - oh btw Hawks is keeping himself very much out of sight, because he knows and the chairman knows that the SECOND Dabi sees him all hell will break loose, because from some semi-successful therapy sessions they’ve realized that Dabi Very Much Wants To Kill Hawks In The Most Violent Way Possible TM - but she gets that bad gut feeling when the heroes are going to reconvene with the chairman to discuss his EATING BEHAVIOR.

So she wanders into the hall where Dabi’s room is located after this and finds Compress/Geten guarding a bathroom, but she walks down the hall like she’s not paying attention to them, then gets to the end of the hall, and turns around to make her way back. Dabi comes out of the bathroom and as she’s passing by they make eye contact and he does that “th’ fuck you lookin’ at” eye/nose twitch, but HERE I SHOULD MENTION THAT ABITETH HAS A VERY GOOD SNIFFER, and she faintly smells vomit and TL;DR she continues this wandering down that specific hall after lunch/supper for about 3 days but then finds that Compress/Dabi/Geten have made the conscious decision to guard a DIFFERENT BATHROOM that is NOT in that specific hall and so she very rightly comes to the conclusion that Dabi is purging, because IF he has been forcefully exhausted all of his other options to unalive himself, then starvation is the next option, and it has ONLY flown under the radar so far because he KNOWS when the facility does the monthly physical so he gets himself into better condition for that time only and then goes back to purging.

To confirm her suspicions the chairman orders an emergency medical/physical examination on Dabi and they watch the camera to his room and his IMMEDIATE reaction to the nurse is “what the fuck are you doing here” and “you’re not supposed to BE HERE” and then using the bed as a threat because while only at a FRACTION of his usual strength he’s still quite strong. He refuses to go with the nurse and Abiteth states she can convince him to go, and at first the chairman is like “well he’s going to know that you’re deceiving him” and Abiteth is like “I’m not gonna’ deceive him”, and she asks Dabi to go on a walk with her and he’s like “do you think I’m fucking stupid” and Abiteth replies “no, because you know that at the end of the walk we’re going to end up in the medical wing”, and he decides “fine I guess I’ll go on a walk with you” because he legit wasn’t expecting her to be honest.

There’s more in here about how Abiteth berates Mera for having Hawks/Enji around and something more about how heroes have only ever HURT Dabi so why would he expect any of them to be kind to him or honest to him, when all his experiences with heroes thus far have been that they are cruel/unkind to him and lie to him (which plays a role in the below situation with Abiteth taking a leave of absence from active hero duty effectively making her a civilian).

Anyway that’s all I’ve really got so far, apart from some other events that result in the Steatoda heroes determining that Dabi is legitimately scared, and especially after Hawks (who is kinda sorta there at Mera’s request to determine if certain villains - one of those villains ofc being Dabi - should still be in this program as they’ve made little to no progress, so like no shade to Hawks pls he’s just trying to do his job) enters Dabi’s room and he understandably FREAKS OUT because he a) can’t use his quirk so he has no real way to defend himself FROM Hawks and b) is in a confined space where it would be very easy for him to get shredded by Hawks’ feathers.

Then ofc the Todoroki family gets involved and Enji/Rei and the kids DO just want Dabi to get better but ofc it’s not going well, and in the end Abiteth takes a leave of absence from working as a hero after consulting w/ the Chairman and Mera (y’know the new president of the HPSC) as everyone comes to the conclusion that Dabi will never get better if he’s confined to a facility that is constantly watching him. This leave of absence is more of a trial period thing and Hawks has to check up on Dabi’s progress weekly (at first, then bi-weekly, so on and so forth until he believes he doesn’t HAVE to check up on Dabi/Abi).

Dabi gets put under house/street arrest so he’s only allowed to be in Abiteth’s home and on the street where she lives and ONLY allowed outside if Abiteth is with him (very STRICT), and after she brings him home and she shows him his room and he finds NO CAMERAS he just face plants onto the bed and falls asleep for like. 3 WHOLE DAYS. JUST SLEEPS. But NATURALLY having access to things like sharp kitchen utensils makes the beginning of Abiteth helping him very rough but she does her best to take it in stride. And okay this, THIS IS ALL I GOT, this is AS FAR AS I GOT.

THE BROTHERS in a fight with MC and thinking that they’re over (yikes)

Lucifer:

Everyone always says Lucifer is quick to lose his cool but he’s honestly been nothing but patient with you. He may have hinted at several things he doesn’t condone and he definitely has that ‘look’, you know the disappointed dad look, but he has held back a lot so as to not ruin the beautiful relationship you have with him. Everyone snaps, though, and when he finally did, it was ugly. He did NOT call you names, but oh he didn’t. He went straight for your feelings and pointed out every mistake you ever made for as long as he’s known you. Ouch. In his defense, you weren’t nice either. The argument ended nasty and ‘I hate you’s!’ were definitely thrown around, but none of them were meant, right? Goodness, he doesn’t know. After you left, he threw himself on his bed, literally, and just stared at the ceiling. His anger slowly fled away and he began to feel… guilty. Not necessarily because of the argument itself, but because he delivered some low blows and he knows that. Are you over? Done with him? You haven’t texted or called or talked… you’ve been actively avoiding him and he doesn’t like that, but his pride is such an issue, goodness. He can’t straight up apologize, that dickhead, but he’s sending you flowers and standing in front of your door with a sad face that says it all. 

“Forgive me? I made reservations at your favorite’s? We can talk over a nice dinner?” 

Mammon:

Mammon is known to get mildly agitated over the silliest things, let’s be real. He’s also quick to revert to the “are you dumb?!” argument, which is never effective. But he loves you and he would do anything for you so even if you do do something that he deems ‘dumb’, he usually bites his tongue. Doesn’t mean that doesn’t get on his nerves, though, and he definitely has a short temper, although people tend to overlook that. You just managed to push his buttons today and he used the “are ya stupid?!” argument, to which you obviously defended yourself, and rightfully so. This ended in a massive screaming match and him saying “Then leave! Ain’t nobody keepin’ ya with me!” He regretted it the minute those words left his mouth and you could see his eyes grow wide in shock at his own words, but that didn’t mean you stayed. “MC!” he tried running after you immediately but you were faster and honestly, who can blame you? He fucked up, and he knows it, and he feels terrible about it. Honestly, he’s crying just at the mere thought of you taking his words seriously and he can’t… he can’t bear to lose you, you know? What’s he gonna do? You’re the light of his life, as pathetic as that may sound to some…. So he won’t let you run away. Homie will hunt you down and beg for forgiveness. 

“Please, MC! Forgive me! I’m dumb, not you!!! Don’t leave me…” Don’t leave him. He will continue crying. 

Leviathan:

His constant need to put himself down is frankly, quite annoying. To you anyway. But you put up with it and just reassure him that, at least to you, he’s the most amazing demon that ever existed. It’s just facts. But a person only has so much patience, right? You can’t always spend your days trying to lift him up when all he does is dig himself a bigger hole. Who has the emotional time for that? You sure don’t. “Oh my God, Levi! Shut up! I can’t take it anymore!” Followed by “See! You’re just like everyone else! Leaving me!” and then you slamming the door to his room shut. It’s frustrating and understandably so. It makes you feel awful that you can’t even make your own boyfriend feel good about himself and get at least a little bit of self confidence and it’s so, so, so very draining to have to constantly listen to that. At this point, it’s affecting your own mental health and you just… you just can’t…. But Levi can’t lose you because he knows you’re right. He has to work on himself if he wants to keep someone as amazing as you with him and that’s why he’s crawling back to you now. 

“Look I… I know you’re right… I’m sorry. I promise I’ll … I’ll try. For you.”

Satan:

For being the Avatar of Wrath, you always admired Satan for his ability to keep cool. He prefers the relaxed and easy going life much more than the type of life people expect him to live, and you respect that. That doesn’t mean his constant need to one up Lucifer, through whatever means necessary, didn’t bother the hell out of you, though. You tried talking to him about it once or twice in a calm manner, but you always got the same answer “Pfft.. it’s Lucifer. Who cares?” And it never sat right with you. Just today he decided to pull a prank on the eldest and you had enough, standing in front of Lucifer and letting the bucket of cursed green slime land on you instead, to everyone’s shock. “What are you doing?!” Now that you’re thoroughly green from head to toe, you were also beyond pissed. “What am I doing?! What are YOU doing?!” But Satan matched your anger tenfold, accusing you of favoring Lucifer over him and oh! “You probably got an affair with him, too!” Which was a stupid thing on his part, but it looked like it the way you defended him. Anger doesn’t even begin to describe the emotion you felt running through you and had it not been for Lucifer, you probably would’ve physically fought Satan for such a dumb accusation. Lucifer took you to get cleaned up and lifted the course, giving you your natural skin and hair color back within a few days and plenty of scrubbing, and Satan felt like shit. You’ve always been there for him and, rationally speaking, he didn’t have a reason to doubt your loyalty to him, but he just can’t help but feel insecure beside Lucifer…. He decides to come apologize anyway, a deep blush on his face and guilt in his eyes 

“I’m… sorry for accusing you. It wasn’t my right to speak out of anger and jealousy…” 

Asmodeus:

How can anyone fight with the Avatar of Lust? Seriously, the guy is super easy going and he loves pretty much everyone. Not as much as himself, but almost. You on the other hand… you didn’t. Well you didn’t NOT love him or yourself, but you were just… you. You didn’t spend 4+ hours in the bathroom trying to get ready when you knew you were only going to the kitchen down the stairs. Like?? Although you never brought it up to Asmodeus, he constantly bothered you about skincare and what foods to eat and what not to eat, etc… It’s quite annoying, honestly, and at some point you just gave him a passive aggressive “Okay, whatever. Can we move on now?” To which he didn’t take lightly. He was still nice and sweet, trying to convince you that at least one of these things will make your skin glow brighter than a unicorn’s ass but you just had enough. “Can you stop?! You’re indirectly saying I’m ugly without that shit ton of product in my face and a diet that would make me starve before it helped me! If you want a skinny VS angel that barely holds onto their skeleton, get one!” It was more hurt and frustration speaking than anything, but your outburst still shocked him and he was taken aback for a moment. And then you ignored him for a week straight and as someone who thrives off of attention, especially the kind he gets from you, he can’t handle that! So he showed up in your room in sweats and a tshirt and messy hair and no product on his skin. 

“You’re right… we’re all naturally beautiful…. Wow that… that really hurts to say MC but can you forgive me?” 

Beelzebub:

Oh the sweet, sweet angel. He’s far from innocent and you know that. We all know that. But for this story, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. His reliance on Belphegor is just really… annoying. Belphegor this, Belphegor that. “Belphie used to…” or “Belphie said….” or “one day when Belphie and I….” Like why does everything have to include his twin? It’s so annoying and so rude when your significant other is right here !!! and planning their own future with you, Beel, thanks. It makes you feel less than and like Belphegor will always come before you. It makes you feel like shit, quite frankly, and who is to blame you? “Hey MC did I tell you what Belphie---!” “No! Shut up! I don’t care! It’s always about Belphie! The day you come to me and don’t let that name drip from your tongue is the day Jesus comes back to save me and we both know that will be never! I’m tired of always being stuck with Belphegor! We are not equals!” Granted, you shouldn’t have yelled and Beel was more than confused at your outburst, but you wouldn’t talk to him anymore after that so he left you alone. He thought you may need an hour or two, maybe a day tops, but that day turned into a full week and he even lost his appetite just because he knows you’re angry with him. It’s been a week, does that mean you’re over? His heart aches just at the thought… 

“I’m sorry for bringing Belphie up… I don’t want you to feel less than, MC. You mean a lot to me and so does Belphie, but you’re not Belphie and I need to learn that…”

Belphegor:

Honestly it’s a miracle he hasn’t lost his temper at you yet. Well, he partially blames it on his own laziness because if being angry or getting upset didn’t take so much energy out of him, maybe he would’ve snapped by now lol, but he tries really hard not to because he thinks your relationship with him after everything is pretty good, considering yall kiss and snuggle and fuck on a regular basis. But anyway, that’s exactly the issue. Considering everything, you’re still holding *that* against him. It’s never direct either, which makes it worse. It’s always said in a joking manner and something like “haha look it’s just like that one time you killed me” or “Beel’s grabbing that ham like you grabbed my throat” or “I remember seeing jesus for a moment there” and it agitates him. It makes him so angry, and he finally snapped. “I know I fucked up MC! Stop holding it against me! What do you want? A medal of honor? A survivor's certificate? Maybe a pat on the back for developing some sort of Stockholm syndrome that made you come back to your abuser?!” And then he left. And you may have cried both from confusion and your own anger, he isn’t quite sure. It’s just so…. Aggravating. He can’t deal with it. He knows it was a mistake spurted by his own insecurities and survivor’s guilt which ultimately led to his hatred but please, stop holding it against him.. He can’t keep putting up with it from the person he’s grown to love. He’s the one ignoring you and he won’t budge either because he’s a stubborn ass, but maybe if you come up first… 

“I’m sorry for yelling at you… I’m just so tired for it being held against me… I love you, and you should know that, and I do feel guilty about what happened.”

i was writing down some notes for my infected!leon and this came to me

uh before I ramble holy shit thank you all for your nice comments and tags I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!! I was not expecting people other than me to enjoy him 👉👈

So! Here are my silly little notes about him!

- the reason for this meme is he gets cold pretty easy despite all his plating! so if youre cold, he is cold. And you should take care of him.

-addition to this. His bug instincts kick in and he loves being cocooned in blankets…I just think it’s really cute….lil bundle of bug….

- the general story I have really isn’t tooooo different from 4…I mean aside from the big 7 foot bug in the room.

- leon doesn’t gradually turn…he just fuckin. Goes. It’s soon after he meets Ashley, when they’re escaping something triggers his form to fuck up and go nuts. I mean he’s lucid but uh. His form…

- when he first transforms, he can’t communicate outside of clicks and chitters and general bug sounds. he gets frustrated by this pretty quick, especially since he has to try and convince ashley that he’s not gonna kill her

- Ashley is freaking the fuck out at this point. I should mention when Leon transforms he just. Grabs ashley and takes them to safety so to Ashley that’s uh. Pretty fucking terrifying.

-I’m not sure how, but somehow Leon convinces her he’s still lucid. Probably doing something sweet…Leon doesn’t know what he looks like and he really doesn’t wanna know, he just knows he’s uh. Pretty scary. (I think he’s cute though)

- a quick note about ashley since she kinda bothers me sometimes! She’s a lot nicer to leon in this au cause she can see this poor guy is going through some shit. She feels guilty she lead leon into this situation :(

- when the two meet up with Luis (WHO LIVES IN THIS AU SO HE CAN HELP LEON AFTERWARDS) he gives Leon the pills that’ll help slow the infection. he sits leon the fuck down and helps him regain his speech and bipedal movement (since his legs were too wonky for him to even try walking/running normally) He also gives Leon a jacket because this poor bug is fucking cold

- after he can walk and kinda talk again, leon tries to carry on like normal. he can still use guns pretty decently all things considered but the harder things get, the more likely his new body is to revert back to bug stuff (since human stuff takes a little extra effort now!)

- this leads me to some more general notes about Leon since tbh I’m bad at writing story stuff! So

- he chitters and clicks a whole lot, even when he’s talking!

- since his face isn’t super expressive, there are other ways of telling his emotions. his bug noises are a sure indicator of this, as well as his antennae and quills, which can lower and flatten. functionally they’re kinda like whiskers, they help leon sense things

- he’s super great at seeing in the dark. unfortunately though this means he’s pretty sensitive to light and gets headaches because of it :(

- this bug is fucking FAST. his legs are real powerful and good at jumping so he can zip around pretty quick and is a very talented climber. he may be existentially mortified but at least he can have fun running and jumping around!

- as for how Leon’s feeling he’s uh. Hanging in there! he’s ashamed and horrified of what he is but at least while he’s dealing with all the shit in 4 he’s kinda able to push these feelings aside so he can focus on protecting Ashley.

- he knows he’s pretty spooky looking so he acts a little nicer/more affectionate to others because he doesn’t wanna scare them :(

- throughout his journey, people like salazar will demean and mock him and be like “oh you’re really one of us now…” and tbh it makes leon feel kinda shitty! But Ashley and Luis (since he’s alive and sometimes shows up I guess) come to his aid and are like no! No mean to him! And through the power of friendship Leon makes it through okay :)

- the infection never really spreads to his brain so he doesn’t get too feral…sure he’ll get stressed and maybe go on all fours or forget how to speak for a little bit but nothing too crazy…any sort of feral he goes is based on his own choices and emotions… but for the most part he’s really docile and kinda sad

I think those are most of the notes I have so far…..I wasn’t planning on actually posting a lot of these but since y’all seem to like him….. I am happy to share the brainrot….

After Sunday's episode what are you #chenford thoughts for the rest of 4B?

tbh my chenford thoughts are the same as they were before watching sundays episode: they are building towards chenford, deliberately taking things as slow as possible, and continuing to show us just how close their friendship/relationship has become in order to build the strongest foundation they can. i actually want to break this down a little, because i've seen some people reading things differently than i have and maybe it's worth a little bit of analysis.

sunday's episode laid out a few things for us, very plainly:

1. tim and lucy talk more than we see on screen. personally, i've always thought this to be true – but i know that sometimes if we don't see something onscreen, it's fair to believe it hasn't happened. tim and lucy spend 12+ hours a day together...and clearly, i'd imagine especially since becoming partners, they talk about a wide range of things sitting in that shop. they're more personal now than they were when tim was lucy's t.o. – she's not telling tim to break up with his girlfriend and he's openly discussing his relationship issues with her. i haven't talked about this publicly much, but a lot of people have noticed that this season feels oddly reminiscent of season two. imo, that's a deliberate choice – the writers are taking all of the building blocks of chenford from season 2 (the emotional support, the bet, the love interests) and rewriting them in a romantic lens, rather than in a friendship/partnership lens. they can lean into that, now, to really dig their heels in on the fact that this is a new place for tim and lucy's relationship – they're showing us how they react differently to some of the same situations we've seen in the past, in a way that's even closer than before. anyway: they talk more/spend more time together than we see on screen, that much is obvious.

2. we're not supposed to like/invest in their new love interests. at this point, i'm still not 1000% sold on the idea that chris is lucy's love interest (though, i don't really know who else it would be, so like...a point in chris's column, i guess) but, i'm answering this working under the assumption he is. that being said: we are not supposed to care about ashley! we are not supposed to like chris! they deadass said: we aren't even going to have tim and ashley touch after they just spent the night together.

let's start with ashley: after meeting her in 4x06, i wasn't even certain we would see her again...that's how little they committed to the character. we then heard about her in 4x08, wherein tim used her as a bargaining chip to prove his sister wrong ("you are the most stubborn person alive, which is, by the way, why you're still single." "okay, first of all – i'm not.") and the show used her as a device to get lucy's reaction to the info that tim's seeing someone. the fact that tim brought up the fact that he's casually dating someone in an argument/as a way to get his sister off his back is bad enough for the relationship, but the fact that we as the viewers were then shown lucy's reaction to that information? when she wasn't even present in the argument prior to it, when the information wasn't even being directed at her? that was an incredibly intentional choice – she was learning something about tim she, as his close friend, as his partner, likely would've already known if it was serious...and she was a little taken aback by it. she was surprised. we were supposed to be watching her, in that moment – because it was more about tim realizing he's now let the emotions get the best of him (which can happen a lot in triggering situations/with people who revert you back to a fight or flight response, etc.) to the point where he's let something out that he didn't even mean to share, yet. 

it's also incredibly intentional that ashley is nowhere in 4x08 and 4x09 – lucy is the person that goes through that storyline with tim, lucy is the person who comes with him to his childhood home to renovate with his sister, lucy is the person who helps him work through his shit with his dad, who drives him (or, with him...i imagine she drove) to the hospice, who waits outside while he confronts his father, who is there for him afterwards. it's not the woman he's dating, it's lucy.

then we have 4x10, and guys...if we didn't know if before, we do now: ashley doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. first of all, the lack of chemistry between helena and eric is...glaring. they're fine together, they can share space, they're pretty...but that's about it. this is done purposefully – in part, because no one's chemistry is going to compare to melissa and eric's, and in part, because ashley is not meant to be a meaningful character that we care about! she is not meant to have depth in the scope of the storyline – she is meant to be held up as a character that, once again, is perfectly fine...but for some reason, not the right fit. we see lucy step into tim’s relationship again – though, this time she’s honestly dragged in by ashley herself – to solve a problem. she intentionally tells tim to listen to the girl he likes after they’ve been flirty little shits in the parking garage without even noticing it, and then tim listens to lucy. 

the fact that ashley literally goes out of her way to call lucy and ask for advice about her own boyfriend is...genuinely hilarious, given the fact that 1, this proves that tim talks about lucy all the fucking time, to the point that ashley knows she would know how to handle him, and 2, she openly refuses to talk to tim about her problems on her own, implying that even just a few weeks into this relationship, they have an incredibly low level of communication with each other. 

also, less important, but: tim is literally up early after his girlfriend’s slept over for the first time making eggs and salmon for his fucking dog. ashley’s like oh haha you didn’t have to do that for me and he’s not even the slightest bit apologetic when he shoves her out of the way to go put the food into kojo’s bowl. i love this man. i love that he is deadass just like, “this is my dog, he was lucy’s, he’s our son now,” with a grin on his face. my favorite person, truly. anyway. 

it’s just so, so incredibly telling how they’ve positioned this character/these stories...2/3 times we’ve experienced ashley, it’s been in the scope of chenford. ...and that’s really all i have to say about that! 

now, chris...who we know less about so i have less to say, here. i didn’t have any expectations for chris and i still really don’t, but the fact that they’ve introduced him in this light (essentially telling lucy he’ll be holding her responsible for an innocent woman’s murder, should that come to pass) tells me a few things...1, we’re not supposed to like him. 2, if he’s a love interest, it’s not going to be a long-term, massive thing...for the most part, because they would never just go ahead and repeat the wesley/angela storyline for the hell of it with another main character. 3, the location of that first introductory scene was incredibly telling.

that is the thing i want to discuss re: chris – the fact that his introduction came off the heels of lucy talking to tim’s girlfriend on the phone about what a good person he is. 

this show is not a tough nut to crack: they sandwiched those scenes so purposefully. oh, here’s lucy talking to tim’s love interest who is fine-just-fine, but not really it? now let’s introduce her to this man, who could wind up being fine-just-fine, but not really it.

anyway, the point here: we are not supposed to care about these people. they’re not supposed to be full of depth, they’re not supposed to be emotionally moving, they’re just...there. they’re moving the story along for tim and for lucy (and for chenford) and bringing us that much closer to them realizing they are each other’s person. it’s formulaic – they aren’t meant to have their own in-depth story points or large emotional beats, they’re there to serve the main characters/their stories...so seeing it all play out in such a formulated way? very happy with the spot we’re in, there.

3. chenford is going to continue to move slowly...and they should. listen, i know i’ve talked about this before and it’s probably beating a dead horse or whatever, but...they don’t want to go there with chenford yet, and that’s purposeful. they want to build them the strongest foundation possible, make it completely undeniable that there are capital-f Feelings there, that they literally can’t be with anyone else, and then pull the trigger. if we want to be technical about this (and thank you to @timlucys for saying this to me at least twice a day, most days), tim and lucy have not actually been in a “slowburn” territory since season 1. for us, yes, ok – many of us have shipped them since season 1, and so for us, that feels weird to say. but for the characters, they have not actually been in a place to be considered a slowburn for all that long. tim was her t.o. until 3x09 – that last parking garage scene? that was where we entered slowburn territory, if you want to split hairs. they couldn’t (and wouldn’t) be romantic until tim was no longer lucy’s boss, and once we hit that point? all bet have been off. but that’s literally 14 episodes, total – so...we haven’t been in the realm for that long, and if you look at it that way, so much has happened since then? the build that we’ve seen from 3x09 to 4x10? the growth? and all of that just having them outside of their rookie/t.o. phase? they’re not even moving as slowly as some probably think, imo. 

the point here: they’re deliberately moving slow with chenford. they want them to be in the right place, and remember: when we actually get to a point where chenford are together, we will stop seeing...a lot of what we like about chenford. think about wesley and angela, as an example – they had two fairly large storylines in the first half of the season...and now we probably won’t see as much of them, in the back half of the season because...unfortunately, the only thing we would wind up seeing? them in more relationship trouble, and that’s not a story they’re going to want to tell. right now, chenford are in a good spot – we still have tension from the will they/won’t they, we still have ust, we still have that spark we all love to root for...but once they get together, we’ll be relegated to seeing a whole lot less of them together. 

i, for one, would much rather see them building than being sidelined, you know? 

anyway! i am sorry this became such a long, bonkers answer...and that i really don’t have a lot of thoughts on what’s going to happen 😂 tl;dr: the truth of it is that i don’t really care much for spec! i am happy to answer specific questions about narrative, about general plot points, about industry stuff...but i’m not really one for predicting, because i’d much rather let the show do what it’s going to, in the end. i love what they’re doing right now, i’m happy with the trajectory we seem to be in, and i’m looking forward to what’s coming next!

Word sure spreads fast among the folk of Asgard, about Odin’s shame and your innocence.

Since his lies had weakened the favor among his subjects, the Allfather was desperate to clean his name and reputation, ultimatively inviting you to come back.

But you declined, stating that this wasn’t your homeland anymore ever since they betrayed you to fullfill their selfish ambitions.

However, Asgard’s hypocrisy wasn’t the only reason you chose to stay on Midgard - you just knew that it would break your heart every day you’d spend on a place with so many memories connected to your deceased husband.

Earthlings, the people of S.H.I.E.L.D and especially Thor’s friends Jane and Erik Selvic had basically become like family to you. Even though they could never fill the void Loki had left in your heart, things being like this was more than you could wish for.

“Lady Y/N!” a familiar voice greeted you, yet his worried tone startled you. Thor was already standing in your room, practically kicking in your door as he was visibly upset.

Immediately, you put Liam into his crib and rushed to his side. “What’s the matter?!”

A strange mix of horror and excitement was stretched across his face, making your heart sink to your stomach.

Actually, you didn’t want to involve yourself with the Asgardians any further. All you ever wanted was for your child to be healthy and happy, no matter where this was possible.

But Thor was still your cherished brother-in-law, as well as a wonderful uncle, never ceasing to provide for you and Liam, even when everyone else had forsaken you.

Yet what he was about to tell you let your blood run cold: 

“Loki is back.”

Immediately, all the walls you had built up over those past months were crumbling as you collapsed to the floor, crying out of anger and relief.

“H-How? How is this even possible?! He’s dead! Loki died!”

“Pull yourself together, Lady Y/N!” Thor has always been a rather touchy-feely kind of person, in opposite to his raw and bulky appearance.

But right now, he wouldn’t dare to hug or console you, like he’d usually do. Instead, he was offering you a hand to help you get back up - which you wouldn’t be able to take just yet. “There’s no use in overthinking this! We need to hurry!”

“What do you even want me to do?” you wondered, because if your husband was really alive, you’d doubt him wanting to see you. “He’s changed...killed a lot of people before he disappeared. And still, I don’t wanna fight him. How can I be of any help at all?!?”

“We know he’s probably after you and the child” the God of Thunder stated coldly. “So you need to be transferred to a safe location.”

What can be more safe than a base of S.H.I.E.L.D? If only you knew he had already demolished a whole, giant outpost of them with ease...

“I’ll explain everything to you on the way.” “Let me quickly get the baby.”

“What, did you forget the name of your nephew already?” you chuckled awkwardly, but seeming to have struck a nerve.

Thor was only slowly approaching the crib in which your lovely baby was resting, staring at it with awe while his trembling hand caressed Liam’s cheek.

“Incredible...” he whispered mainly to himself,  as if this wasn’t the thousandth time he would lay eyes upon him. “He’s just like I remember him.”

Something was off.

Of course Thor had a spare key to your flat, but you had never heared him unlock it - he had just kind of appeared in the middle of the room. Could as well be that you had been to invested with something, or buried in thought to notice him, and yet...

“Wait” you stated, making him flinch away from the child and turn around. “My knees are still weak. Help me up first.”

With heavy steps, Thor would force himself away from the crib and towards you again, lending you another hand and easily pulling you up - just for you to point a sharp dagger to his throat.

“Lady Y/N, when did you summo-”

“Shut up!” you hissed, and the god held his hands into the air to assure his goodwill. "Drop the disguse. Now!”

The man let out an amused huff, a taint of green covering his body to revert it back to normal - revealing your husband.

His hair had become longer, and dark rings showed how devastating those past months went by for him. Yet still, he was unmistakingly your husband.

Yet a faint, mad spark in his eyes was what worried you the most.

Now he was holding a knife as well, both circling around the crib with a knife at each other’s throat, as if to dance with each other.

“So it’s really you, Loki?”

“The one and only” he declared, chest swelling with pride at his performance and completely ignoring your hostile undertone. “I missed you painfully, my sweetling.”

He looked to the side where your son was still sleeping soundly, regret clearly visible on his face. “Wha- what name did you give our child?”

“Liam it is.”

The smallest of smiles tugged on his lips, swallowing harshly to surpress the sobs wanting to break free. “Beautiful name. Very well chosen.”

Pain was stretching across your features, desperately trying for the dam of emotions to not break. The dagger in your hand vanished, rather choosing to reluctantly caress his cheek - to make sure this was really him, and not one of his illusions.

And it was really him, leaning into your touch with a content purr. “Yes, my love, just like tha-”

A loud noise drang to his ear, effectively cutting him off. He needed a second to understand that it was in fact you slapping him what caused the interruption.

“Dear, wait, I-” Another hit, this time it was your knee digging into his groin, making him gasp in pain.

With his current power, it would be a piece of cake to block you - yet he knew that after everything that had happened to you, and everything he had done...

...it was what he deserved. So he would allow you to let off some steam.

Yet much to his surprise, you were done already - now grabbing desperately on his cloak and pulling him in for a passionate kiss.

He immediately reciprocated, dropping his weapon as well to embrace you fully, lips mingling with each other over and over again.

Oh, how long had both of you craved for each other?

“Sorry” you panted as your lips finally parted, “Just needed to get that off my chest.”

“Do not apologize, my love” Loki declared, chin resting atop of your head, still no intention to let go off of you. “I deserve far worse than that.”

You looked up to him, the kiss having made something surface in his eyes: So solemn, and incredibly fragile, it made your heart ache.

“Wha- what happened to you? Where have you been all this time?”

Loki’s face contorted at the question, as if the thoughts in his mind were physically painful. But his mind was clouded, unable to make his proper memory resurfacing. “Places far beyond your imagination, dear. And I have learned many things.”

“I-I thought I had lost you...” you ultimatively began to sob, face dug into his chest.

“No” the god whispered softly, his gaze still unwavering. “You always have me. I promise.”

“What now?” you sniveled as he gently pet your head, just as back in good old times. “Where do we go?”

“What do you mean?” Loki’s features creased into a slight frown, “We stay here. There’s no need to leave or flee.”

“Bu-” you hesistantly took a few steps back, to take in his full reaction. “But you’re a wanted criminal, Loki! On Asgard as well as Midgard!”

His manner became more defensive again, glee radiating off of him. “Oh, my sweet, innocent Y/N...still the idealist, I see.”

“And you are still insufferable” you scoffed back, crossing your arms. “What do you mean?”

Actually, you dreaded the answer.

The man seemed to be thinking about many things at once, eyes narrowing before he finally took a hold of your hand, squeezing it ever so slightly when he saw that you were still wearing his ring - even after everything that had happened.

“Y/N, my love, those deaths were a necessary evil.” He tried to peck a quick kiss on your hand, but you pulled away at those words. “The only crime I feel guilty for is having left the love of my life. But don’t you worry, I’ll make up for it.”

He summoned a staff, glowing in the same blue as the tesseract - and much to your terror, his eyes started to adapt to them as well.

“I will create my own kingdom, Y/N! Here on Midgard, with you as my queen! This is what you deserve, my love! You and our child will have everything you desire and more!”

“This is madness, Loki!” It wasn’t the first time he had heared that.

People always treated him wrongly, afterwards wondering why he was trying to create felicity on his own. “Is it?” he croaked, “Is it madness for a person born to rule two kingdoms to create a home he never had?”

His plan did not merit awe or any such feelings he hoped you to have - the only person in the world he thought would understand him.

“Loki, what your parents have done to you is inexcusable, yet-”

“They’re not my parents!” he screamed enraged, eyes then widened in shock that he had raised his voice at you. “My apologies, I...”

“They have kept the truth from you so that you’d never feel different. You know you’re their son, and the Asgardians are your family. You must know that!”

“You speak like mother” he spat, and still Frigga’s words he could not shake off as easily as Odin’s. “There is no going back to that place, and Jotunheim I never had a connection with. You most likely heared that I tried to kill Laufey, yes?”

Nodding in silence, you nervously bit your lip. “Please...” Wrapping your arms around him and placing one ear at his sternum, you could clearly hear how his heart was fighting a war, struggling to decide.

“You can still stop whatever you were gonna do. We can start anew somewhere, lead a peaceful life with Liam. I don’t need wealth or power, and you clearly know any of this wouldn’t give you the satisfaction you’re searching for!”

“As always, you’re right” he grumbled deeply, already regretting what he was about to do. “But it’s not that easy, my naive little dove.”

“No~” With his hand on the back of your neck, he infused a powerful magic inside your body, slowly shutting down your nervous system completely. As careful as possible, he cradled you in his arms and slowly led you to the floor, then proceeding to take his heir.

“The only thing I need for myself is our little family - and I will avenge you by murdering anyone that did you wrong, or tries to separate us again.”

he’s into acts of service/”gift” giving. creepy dude’ll find out about your life (sneakily, naturally) and things start,, happening. “i was on the phone ystd complaining about this dude at work/school who’s giving me a hard time and today he’s gone?? moved away without prior notice?? weird!” if s.o. works with jc pre-dating he’d totally disappear the cute intern that asks you out for coffee

he likes grand gestures but they’re shitty like “you said you felt cold so i lit this building on fire for you!! isnt it great!!”

he’s not pda-y but sappy kissy caressy stuff happens. he likes to bite and scratch like the weird lil feral animal he is. he tries to keep his emotions under control but for darling they’re so overwhelming he goes from withdrawn and repressed to passionate on a dime- especially at the beginning.

definitely intense. a little on and off which turns up the intensity somewhat. he’s cold sometimes but reverts back to “BUT I L O V E YOU” quick enough

blood: how messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

besides being creepy jon has myriad personality traits, two of them being determined and possessive, both to uncomfortable degrees :) he’s willing to do a lot to get s.o to stay/protect them etc but because he’s so calculative i think he could do his evil scarecrow activities organised and mess-free.

but his emotions (esp when it comes to s.o.) are so overpowering jon.exe stops working and he can lose control. murderous bad things may occur because... it’s him. “the red means i love you”.

(like how joe from you kills for whoever he's after. overwhelming emotions make it messy. kinda like that but jon is wayyy smarter than joe LMAO soz penn 💕)

cruelty: how would they treat their darling once abducted? would they mock them?

anyway at first he’ll try his hardest to keep his distance and observe. like a good scholar.

would slowly try to get closer to you and get you to trust him be it through being nice or being emotionally manipulative (probably a confusing mix of both to keep you on your toes) his emotions get the best of him sometimes especially now that you’re actually there. he has you now. he may push a little too hard then withdraw for a while to try and get his feelings in check. he’s playing nice/mean but really he’s hiding his vulnerability

a lot of “i won’t hurt you don’t be scared <3” despite him literally having,,, kidnapped you

mocking would be involved though it’s just little comments here or there, i think he’s got a dry sense of humour which just slips out. it’ll be his way of trying to lighten the mood ig even though it is,,, very unamusing to everyone else.

darling: aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

yes probably. he’s a stubborn little man and he does it all to “protect” darling. he won’t do anything that he thinks will directly hurt you, it’s a “im doing this for your own good” thing. he’d probably keep his deeds a secret from you to keep you close, hurt people who’ve hurt you even though you don’t want him to. back to the killing birds analogy. “but i did this because i care for you??? :(“

Spiderman No Way Home Review Essay Part 1

I have so many thoughts about NWH that I have decided to post multiple review essays because otherwise this will be a novel. Brace yourselves, my dear internet friends!

Up first: a simple analysis of the similarities between Peter Parker and Matt Murdock for all the Spiderman stans who might want to know more about the random blind lawyer dude that so many theaters cheered for.

Some of the Peter Parker traits that most of his fans love are as follows:

He’s a street-level hero. This means fighting villains who aren’t necessarily threatening destruction of the entire word, but are ruining the lives of ordinary civilians. As a result, the stakes actually feel scarier. Not because destruction of a city or neighborhood creates per se higher stakes than destruction of the whole world, but because destruction of a city or neighborhood actually feels possible. If a movie let the bad guy destroy the whole world, what’s next? Nothing; franchise over. And so we don’t believe that it’ll really happen (at least, not without a way to reverse it, which usually feels cheep and contrived). But a movie could absolutely let the bad guy destroy a city or especially a neighborhood. In other words, the tension skyrockets in street-level conflicts because it feels, at a meta level, like the good guy could actually lose.

He’s a street-level hero. On the list twice because there’s a second key result to this: Peter actually knows the people he’s saving, and he cares about them. Whether it’s the guy who runs the bodega or the woman he gives directions, Peter is at the same level as the people he saves. He’s not isolated in Avenger’s Tower or spending most of his time out in space, only to show up when he’s needed. He lives daily life alongside them. He’s also intimately familiar with the things that matter to them. He gets frustrated by subway congestion or the price of gas going up just like they do. And it adds so much meaning to his heroism!

He gets hurt. And this goes double once he no longer has his nanotech suit. (I get why they gave him a nanotech suit: he needed it to realistically function at the Avengers’ level.) (Except why didn’t they give Clint and Natasha nanotech suits too? They’re just humans????) But now that he doesn’t have the suit, he gets beat up. Bad. He has his accelerated healing, but his movies still are more likely than other movies to let us feel the weight of the punches. This too heightens the stakes and the tension and makes him more relatable.

He cares about everyone. This will actually be the topic of a second essay because I literally cannot stop talking about it (sorry to friends and family who’ve had to put up with me this weekend), but for now, let me just briefly say: Peter Parker even cares about villains. Just, like…think about that for a sec.

His guilt complex is off-the-charts. Everything bad that happens, he finds a way to convince himself it’s his fault. This is certainly not healthy from a psychological perspective, but it is also quite relatable. And it makes him a much more sympathetic character than other heroes who are quick to pin the blame on external factors such as other people or circumstances. The fact that Peter takes responsibility wherever he can shows his humility. The fact that he takes too much responsibility is also, frankly, fertile ground for emotional hurt/comfort fics that, y’know, let us work through our own issues (whaaaaat, who does that) via his character.

He thinks his friends are better off without him. This is related to the above point, but is so poignant it deserves its own discussion. That scene at the end of NWH where he had the script written out to tell MJ who he was? I knew immediately that he’d never go through with it. He’d see her living a semi-happy life, but more importantly a safe life, and he wouldn’t want to risk ruining that for her. Even seeing her revert back to her default-to-disappointment mentality after finally having some hope wasn’t enough for him to reenter her life.

He’s a nerd! His unapologetic enthusiasm for knowledge! Need I say more?

Now, there are certainly other factors about Peter that we love (e.g. the fact that he’s literally a teenager, his defiant optimism, his eagerness to please everyone he encounters, etc.), but the above points are definitely up there among those I see people most often discussing and celebrating (and angsting over). And I highlight these points especially because guess who also shares every single one?*

Matt Murdock, y’all. He and Peter express themselves incredibly differently, due to different personalities, upbringings, and simply being in different stages of life. However, both their environments (now that Peter is back to being a street-level hero, at least) and their core values are all but identical. For this reason, putting them together is absolutely fascinating. And painful, but wholesome. And will basically restore your faith in humanity.

And that is one reason (but not the only reason) why I am thrilled that they chose to introduce Matt Murdock via Peter Parker’s story, and not anyone else’s.

*Matt is a nerd about law not science, math, engineering, and technology but you get the point!

Tl;dr: if you love Peter Parker, you’ll probably love Matt Murdock.

Lance: Dragon Headcanons

A staple mark in Lance’s character is his dragon genetics, and I have a lot of headcanons regarding this, so I figured I'd write about this while I have it in mind. A lot of these probably aren’t canon at all, mainly just me rambling away about what I'd like to see, but I think they're still pretty interesting regardless. 

~Do note: Lance is going to be a bit more feral than usual in this one (this is discussing his dragon side, after all), and many of these are going to be romantic. Combine feral and romantic and you get something along the lines of NSFW. It’s not exactly NSFW, but this post certainly isn’t clean, either. This is really only a concern near the end of the post.

It’s known that in a partially transformed state, Lance’s mother - Tia - has a tail, scales on certain parts of her body, makeshift claws (technically they’re just filed down nails, at least that’s what I’ve read in certain descriptions), and a few other dragon-like features, but since this post reflects my own headcanons I want to add on to and alter that. 

In my headcanons, dragons in a partially transformed state have tails, as well as wings, real claws (not nails, it’s like an extension of the bones that turn into claws), scales in certain areas, and can actually transform to the point where their limbs are more dragon-like the further away from the body it is. They can also control exactly what features appear when they partially transform, but only to some extent. There’s either a full human appearance, or a full dragon appearance, and in the middle there’s a small range of partially transformed traits that they can choose to display; like having the claws, tail, and scales, but no wings, or limiting the amount of scales on their body while having the other traits appear fully. I imagine controlling their transformations is like a muscle; the more they work with it, the more control they have (which is already sort of canon since Valk admitted he wasn’t as strong as Lance because he didn’t practice as much when they were younger), and they can control a fine selection of which traits are active and when.

From that; dragons - like many other living creatures - have their own distinct scents, and with that there are scent glands (there’s a lot of reptiles that don’t have scent glands I think, but also some that do, and since dragons can shift between a reptilian and mammal form I like to imagine that they do have scent glands). In nearly any state, dragons’ scent glands are a lot like a cat’s and are placed in the same areas as their scales when they’re partially transformed; around the mouth, on the cheekbones, the neck, genitals, and a few places on their torso, chest, and arms. In their complete dragon form these locations are primarily the same, but since their anatomy is a bit different, there may be other locations with scent glands as well. These glands work partially with releasing their natural scent, but for the most part they’re also used for scent marking. Again like a cat, dragons can rub off their scent on objects and people by rubbing their scent gland scales across something.

Because of this, Lance may have a small tendency to brush himself against his partner... a lot, especially if he’s partially or fully transformed. It’s common for him to be laying with his partner and begin to repeatedly rub the side of his face against any part of her, but he especially prefers around her face, neck, or chest, and this is usually disguised as aggressive nuzzling. He can do this at random moments through out the day as well; when he suddenly comes up behind her and takes her in his arms and nuzzles into her neck, at night when he pulls her close and accidentally wakes her up just to rub against her, or even if they’re showering together and Lance wants to remark his territory because the water is washing his scent off.

For this reason, he probably doesn't like his partner wearing heavy perfumes or anything that can disguise his - and her - natural scent.

If his partner allows this scent marking to be a commonplace thing, they can find this becoming a habit for him even when he isn’t transformed, and he especially likes when his partner willingly touches his scales - even if just to feel the textures again. Along with that, his partner may make it a habit to brush herself against him; acting as though she’s scent marking him, or just brushing against him so that his scent rubs off on her more. Since dragons probably follow some set of instincts (like any other living creature, even humans), Lance’s partner ‘scent marking’ him is probably incredibly endearing to him, as not only does it mean that she accepts his instinctual nature, but it also shows that she wants to take part in it too.

On the topic of instincts, I image dragons to be incredibly feral and impulsive in at least some basic ways, specifically with some forms of communication and relationships (no matter if it’s romantic or not), so body language may be a major way of communication with him some days. Of course, he’ll still actually talk to other people, but if he’s having a day where he’s just really not in the mood to talk but he needs to communicate with his partner in basic ways, he may revert back to a relatively feral form of communication: body language. Everyone and all species display things through body language, so it would make sense for Lance to rely on speaking with his partner through body language when he’s not in the mood to talk, but he’ll probably use other basic sounds like huffs, grunts, groans, and growls to relay things more clearly since his partner may not be as fluent as he is with this type of communication. 

On these days, she can expect to come back to their room at night and ask a question, only to be answered with a grunt, or a faint growl with a glare, or a scratchy purr and contently closed eyes as he takes her into his arms. It will take his partner a while to decipher exactly what each noise means, as well as what they mean when combined with different facial expressions and posturing, but she should pick up on it quite quickly. Fortunately he acts a relatively similar way on the days he is talking, so many of those days where he resigns from speaking shouldn't be too much of an issue, as he acts mostly the same way minus the words.

Keeping on the topic of nonverbal communication; when he's partially transformed, he probably has a few other habits than just scent marking is partner. As a show of being territorial, he may drape or curl his tail around her, be it her ankles, legs, or even her waist if they're lying down together. As a sign of affection, he may lightly drag his claws along her skin, similarly to how he would with his fingers to relay tender affection.

In a general idea; when Lance is partially or fully transformed, he acts much more on feral instincts than usual. This can lead him to being simultaneously more territorial and romantic towards his partner; it imprints the idea to others that she belongs to him while he maintains a quality relationship with his partner so she doesn't seek to leave him. He feels emotions very deeply, and it's those emotions that influence him to act more on feral instincts (after all, emotions are basically chemical reactions within the body that we then respond to). This means that his emotional reactions can be - and usually are - amplified, or at very least it's easier for him to have a stronger than normal reaction.

This last headcanon may be a bit iffy, but I imagine dragons definitely take a singular mate for the rest of their lives, and have a sort of mating ritual where they leave a physical mark - a bite - on their partner that signifies that from then on, their partner belongs to them.

Marking in general - be it biting, clawing, or bruising (that last one is typically on accident) - may be a common thing with Lance due to his interest in making his partner his mate, and he may perform those markings willingly (usually on the gentler side) or by pure accident as he's caught up in the moment of pressing his partner into the bed and holding her down as she squirms (it's in these accidental moments where the more rough, violent-looking marks come from). He's alright for the most part if his partner would rather not have him inflict a lot of physical marks, he understands her reasoning - after all, its certainly not entirely painless - but his partner may need to understand that if she allows him to act on his more feral instincts sometimes, even in nonsexual ways, he may still end up accidentally inflicting some small mark on her. Of course, if she's sensitive enough to pain that any sort of marking will make her show signs of distress, he'll immediately back off upon noticing those signs (the last thing he wants is to truly hurt his partner), but if she doesn't show signs of discomfort, he may indulge in the feeling of sinking his teeth into her flesh a bit too much and end up accidentally leaving a mark. While on the topic of marking by teeth; dragons - being carnivores - probably have abnormally sharp teeth, even in a human form. This also helps their marking mates by a bite mark stand out more, as not many other species can do similar things.

On the other hand, if his partner is entirely fine with - better yet; likes - marks, be it of any kind, expect him to make that a semi consistent thing. He's much more likely to inflict smaller, more common marks (like hickeys), but if his partner lets him, he'll gladly leave a few scratches or light bite marks on her skin next time he finds himself between her legs and deep within her. On occasion, when he really lets himself go and indulge in the feel of his partner, he may leave a more aggressive scratch or other mark, but this would usually only happen when he knows his partner doesn't mind - or likes - these physical marks.

An important thing for his partner to keep in mind is that he has a human form but his species is dragon. At the end of the day, he’s a dragon by nature. He can certainly be civil and calm, but he will have his moments where he seems more beast than man. Living and being intimate with him is very different than just working with him, so his partner does need to be aware that she may find out some interesting facts about him that she may have never guessed before.

Being with a dragon isn't for the faint of heart, Lance is a true testament to that, but as long as his partner approaches the topic of romance and heavy instincts with an open, considerate mindset, it's unlikely there should be any issues that would arise from this.

I'm glad I finally got those written out, I've been meaning to write them for a while! Hopefully it's not too unorthodox of a topic, but I've noticed the topic of Lance being a dragon is something people like to continuously acknowledge, so I figured this is a good topic to post about.
