I just had a *delicious* Shadow Milk/Reader idea!

What if, after the events of the game, Reader finds Shadow Milk Cookie (whether Reader's inside or outside the Tree's barrier is up to you) sulking or generally being upset that he hadn't gotten his way after his defeat. Being a good friend/lover/etc., Reader then decides to (either right then or after a bit of time to prepare) play him a song like they were his personal court jester & he was their king?

I think he'd appreciate something like that (and probably find it endearing), although he might tease that they had better not try and steal the show/leave the jesting to him, y'know?

Like, reader is just really playing up the antics and making fun of those *terrible, no good cookies* that had slighted him in an attempt to cheer him back up some. I just think that would be really cute.

Kinda angsty

Shadow Milk sat covering his head with his hands in defeated position, muttered something under his breath, cursed and spat. Anything to stop the approaching tears. But despite this, a telltale lump was already forming in his throat, and there was an familiar unpleasant feeling of aching pain in his heart. Thousands of years of waiting are down the drain, it’s not fair, it’s not right, and in general just awful.

He would have sat there even longer if he had not heard some fuss. He immediately perk up, quickly wiping his eyes with his puffy sleeve.

Shadow's slitted eyes flashed as soon as they recognized who had come to visit the jester. Despite this, Shadow was, to put it mildly, out of sorts, and maybe if it had been someone else, he would have put on his usual cheerful mask, but not this time. He was amused at the sight before him.

His eyes darted between you laying out your “props”. It was even comical to be on the other end of the stage and be an audience for once. Not that he could make anything out of his imprisonment besides watching and observing.

What’s even more comical is that all attempts to cheer him up only caused him to smile a little, and only because he still noticed how much of an amateur you were. It was warming his heart for sure, but he is too full of himself to admit that.

At that moment when you were telling him about how “mean” the Elder Fairy had done by transferring the powers to White Lily and oh God, they hid this fact from the poor unfortunate jester. Attacking from behind!and who does that anyway? Horrible evil cookies.

Rolling his eyes at another attempt to “suck up” to him, Shadow Milk extended his hand to flick your nose.

“Oh come on, you silly cookie, shoo shoo I've seen enough,” Milk purred before pressing himself against the tines of the fork that were holding him back. Despite the fact that he would never admit it, hearing something so far from the truth that showed him in the best light could not but please him. He reached out to ran his hand along your hair a bit patronisingly, yet not enough so you would notice.

The seeds of deception are sprouting faster than he expected. Even such little lie makes him feel more alive. How pleasant.

I feel a bit like in one webtoon where instead of a joke it said *funny joke* while writing it ಠ_ಠ

witchy retrospective

My boss has given me a box full of old school witchcraft and Wiccan books to take my pick from, and so I'm slowly working my way through and skimming the ones that seem the most helpful. Three of these are Silver Ravenwolf books which I am absolutely not taking with me but I figure brushing up on some of my roots from when I was Wiccan is a way to build certain foundational aspects of my current spirituality. The barometer that I'm using to see if the author is legit or full of shit is how they describe Ostara.

In the meantime though, because these books were all published either before I was born or in the early-mid 90s, more than one of these talks about navigating regular life as a practicing witch or as a Wiccan, and like... this is hitting a really interesting nostalgia for me that I thought was just because when I was younger I was really influenced by Ravenwolf. She wrote a lot about "the burning times" (which we now understand are not what we think) and she has a lot of misinformation and appropriation... but the thing that stuck with me also was this undercurrent of fear over discrimination for being a witch. As I've grown up I've chalked it up to me misremembering what I read from over 20 years ago, but then some of these other authors are also talking about the "broom closet" and one book even is talking about raising children, custody issues, etc. Was it actually that big of a deal for late 20th century practitioners where people were afraid of losing custody of their kids??

On tiktok you see witchtok still sharing tips and advice for secret witches/broom closet witchcraft, so I know that within individual families it can be risky to practice different spiritual beliefs, but was it bad enough to where there were legit fears over custody battles?

I made the first doodle last week I think (mostly just me trying to draw them in my style, and not knowing how to draw a galea), and then I proceeded to draw a whole page of just Jedtavius today. I might line and colour some of them if I feel up for it. The last doodle is in reference to his win on @ cowboy-competition , he deserves the win I love him. what i wouldn’t give for a winx club/w.i.t.c.h. crossover like IMAGINE

- an alternate season 4 where the winx go to earth not to make people believe in magic/track down roxy but because faragonda is getting readings of strange spikes of magical activity in a small city on earth called heatherfield and wants the girls to see what could possibly be causing magic surges on a magicless planet

- maybe during book of the elements arc? since the literal elements were going nuts that’ll fr cause an energy spike, plus the kandrakar portal getting used daily

- they end up undercover as new students in sheffield institute looking for the magic signature of the heart of kandrakar

- bump into w.i.t.c.h. and they have that “i’m just like you, you’re just like me” moment

- at this moment w.i.t.c.h. are way in over their heads w the elements and dark mother so even if the winx completed their mission of finding out what was up in heatherfield they decide to stay

- IMAGINE THE BONDING

- the winx could help w.i.t.c.h. with their newfound increase in power, since they all struggled controlling their new stronger powers when they got their enchantix

- everyone gets flying lessons.

irma would complain that their outfits aren’t as cool and sparkly as the winx and they only get one,,,, and then during the new powers arc she’s like “i stand corrected! new outfit!”

- bloom teaching taranee how to bond with her fire and accept the duality/entirety of such a destructive power

- cornelia watching flora and thinking that the earth doesn’t just have to be stubborn, solid, and firm, it can be gentle too

- will introducing tecna to all her talking household appliances!!

- musa bonding with matt over his band (there’s a musa/cobalt blue collab at the end of the season)

- irma and joel introducing musa to karmilla

- cornelia taking stella on a shopping trip!! and hay lin getting sewing advice from her to make her own clothes

- imagine if irma could use morphix??? and you can’t tell me she wouldn’t lose her Mind over how cool aisha is

- aisha and taranee going to jensen’s together to dance 🥹🥹

- flora gets her superstar moment healing dark mother’s tree!!

and at the end of the season the oracle thanks the winx for their help and offers to send them home through one of kandrakar’s portals, and w.i.t.c.h. realize magix is accessible to them because kandrakar is the bridge between all worlds, all dimensions. bloom hugs will and tells her “when you ever feel like visiting, we’re just two portals away!”
