I did it, I wrote out Leo and Frank having a snowball fight

genuinely I appreciate constructive criticism because no I haven't got writing ANY of the mafia characters down so forgive me- and I'm assuming leo and frank would know each other by the '20s, i'm also assuming they would be in empire bay at this time, listen i dont know IM SORRY-

also this got kinda long, (for a post) my bad- I probably could've almost posted this on ao3 but I don't even have an account yet, oh well :) hopefully it's good enough that no one cares erijeoirjgsorgj;

Leo stood there, one arm crossed, the other holding his drink, a glass of red wine that in its reflection glimmered from the crystal chandelier in the centre of the room, he swirled it gently. The day was over hours ago and the hard falling snow didn’t help that, each day seemed shorter than the last, the sky getting greyer with each passing set of hours. Winter never seemed to pass through Empire Bay without leaving some sort of an impression. For a man who stuck by his side frequently, at least while at work, it was surprising for Frank to have already disappeared. One moment he was glued to Leo, the other he was nowhere to be seen, though by the gramophone getting louder in Leo’s ears he had a sneaking suspicion he knew where Frank went. 

  Makin’ Whoopee by Eddie Cantor, Dardanella by Ben Selvin, the night drew on and honestly the moment Frank left Leo was already quite bored and sick of the constant chatter. They were so loud he felt a small distant pressure building in his head. Sure, a pretty woman offered to dance, which he took just to be a gentleman. Sure, many familiar songs played, ones he remembers drinking many glasses of wine to with Frank, but what fun are they when he’s not here. After walking a little he sat down in a generously cushioned chair, furrowing his eyebrows and resting his head in the palm of his free hand momentarily. There was a building sensation in his head, the pounding structure of a headache putting itself together more and more every minute. He thought for a moment if it was the wine in his glass that wasn’t helping the situation but he thought otherwise, yes it got lower and lower but he didn’t fret, it was still his first one which he surprised himself with. He looked over his shoulder into the centre part of the hall, many ladies and gentlemen dancing, the Charleston at the minute, he couldn’t see Frank but he assumed he was down the dance floor further with his wife, he sighed and brought his glass to his lips again. 

  “Leo?”

He almost spat his wine out onto his shirt, “Shit- Frank what the hell are you doing? I thought you would be dancing.”

  He took the chair opposite Leo, “No, I don’t feel like it just yet, too early for that.”

“Too early?” He took another sip of his wine, “What? you talking to the hotheads once more? Did Mrs. Vinci get bored of it? again? or have you begun slacking at dancing.."

  Frank shook his head, “Nonsense..” and reached for a glass as a footman walked by, “She doesn’t get bored of it, just rather, knows a lot about it already, doesn’t need me to say anything more.”   

   Leo nodded slowly, “I’m sure she knows a lot about it.." about the business. Leo sighed, "When are you considering leaving anyway? My head’s killing me at this point and unlike you I cannot handle the lot of them kids rambling like a pack of dogs getting ready to race the track.” 

  Frank chuffed, “Not anytime soon, the night is still quite youn-”

“Young?! What time is it?” 

  “It’s only just past ten.” Frank looked at his watch then back to Leo and shrugged his shoulders, looking at Leo directly, “Surely you don’t feel that bad do you?”

Leo shook his head, “Just past ten? No- no. Just not used to the youthful anymore is all.” He let out a chuckle, casually taking the last sip of his wine. It felt like it was past midnight, at least for Leo.

  “You still aren’t that old Leo, what’s gotten into you? Usually you love to be at gatherings like this!” Frank stood up, “Get yourself another glass of wine and enjoy it Leone before we get back to work tomorrow.” He began walking away but turned around at the last second and came back a few steps, “You go see a footman for anything to help you with your head, then come upstairs, I’m sure they’ll enjoy listening to you too..”

  Leo groaned as he stood up, “Oh no I don’t think so.” he chuffed, “I’ll go get some painkillers however, but to be rather honest Frank I think I need a minute outside, tonight just isn’t my night it seems..” he adjusted his coat on his shoulders and looked around for a footman. “I might come up there soon but I’ll just see how my head feels later and base my decision off that, whether I go home or not..”

  “Home? Are you thinking about leaving? You're not gonna leave your boss behind are you?..”

  Leo shook his head smiling, “As if you don’t already leave me behind-" Leo bumped his arm playfully, "what number is it tonight? This must be the fiftieth time by now altogether I’ve managed to lose you when we’ve gone somewhere that wasn't for work.” he played it off cool as he placed his wine glass down onto the table, he heard Frank snicker. “That’s it, I’m getting something for my head, I’ll get one of the boys to tell you if I go home or not and to take extra care of you.”

  Frank gave him a weak salute goodbye “Sure, just be ready for tomorrow..” a ghost of a smile on his lips as Leo watched him walk away. But Leo caught himself and began walking around the outskirts of the dancefloor, desperately looking for a footman.

Looking around him, as quietly as he could he opened the back glass door of the dance hall, no one seemed to notice. A light crunch of the snow underneath his feet brought him back to what he wanted to do as he closed the door behind him. To just have a moment outside, in the peace and quiet and it was for the most part. It was harmony compared to what was going on inside, the music and voices were barely audible from out here. He faced the building, barely able to see everybody past the big loosely hung curtains. He walked backwards, this is where he’d expect him and Frank to be hanging out. It was a garden back here, now white as it was completely covered in snow. A fountain was built on a patch of gravel in the middle of the garden, trickling a little sing-song, the patch lined with small pine trees and a few wooden benches adorned with well looked after vines. Behind the pines, low, clean-cut hedges, all completely decorated with tiny frozen crystals. He turned around again and watched the hall, the lights emitting a warm orange colour on the snow around him in the shape of the windows, he sighed in relief as his head started pounding less, it was already much more bearable than it was before. The painkillers probably would’ve worked even faster if he hadn’t been caught in conversation with another lady wanting to dance. He breathed warm air into his hands, despite them being gloved, he swears this is one of the worst winters he’s ever experienced, it’s fucking cold. He sighed as he just heard Let’s Misbehave start playing in there, a classic he heard almost everywhere at that point.

  Leo almost fell over as a hard ball of snow hit him, solid like a rock. He stumbled to his side and let out a groan, his temple now aching. He looked into the shadows of the garden, “What the fuck? Who was that-” he didn’t have enough time to react as another hit him square in the chest. He groaned and wiped his face and suit down of the excess snow. “This is some way to fuck with me-” his heart dropped, a way too familiar silhouette was walking out of the shadows, calmly making another snowball, “Frank!? What are you doing? Hey!-” he dodged another one and started running behind one of the pine trees closest to him. “What the fuck are you doing?! I thought you were busy talking-?” his body jumped as another snowball hit the tree he was hiding behind, barely shielding him. 

  What was this all about? Leo would be dead before Frank went to have fun, fun that wasn't talking his mouth off. Leo looked through the twigs of the tree at him, Leo shook his head and bent down, quickly making a snowball. He waited for Frank to throw another before he shuffled out from behind the tree and threw one square into Frank’s face. “Ha! You shouldn’t have messed with me Franco.” he hid again and made another snowball as he heard Frank snicker. He jumped out from behind the tree again, he brought his arm up halfway to throw another snowball but was ultimately hit back square in the face. “Fuck- why are you doing so well at this?” he dropped his snowball and wiped his face then put his hands up but Frank hit him in the collar of his shirt, “Stop that before you make my head worse than it was before.” He brushed his shirt of snow, “What’s gotten into you? Why are you attacking me? You offended because I wanted to leave? for a valid reason mind you.” he walked closer to Frank who threw his snowball away, back into the snow. 

  “I thought you could use a good cheering up.” he put his hands on his hips, “And consider this payment for beating me at betting on the hounds last night..” 

  Leo rolled his eyes, “I told you number four was a good call but you didn’t believe me.” He motioned for Frank to walk around the garden with him, mindlessly rubbing his nose that he was almost wondering if it would bruise, “Mr. Booker is new blood, but he trains his dogs excellently, as you saw.” 

  “Yes of course I saw, and no I didn’t believe you. Because last time I believed you, I, after betting on a dog you chose, somehow lost four hundred bucks that day, to no one other than you.” 

  Leo smirked, “I don’t remember saying anything about actually betting on the dog..” he walked at Frank’s side with his arms behind his back, they circled around the garden until they made their way back to the back glass door of the dance hall.

  Frank walked over to it and motioned a hesitant Leo to come inside, “Come on, it’s around now they start playing the music you tolerate and the stuff the kids can’t handle.” 

  Roses From The South by Johann Strauss, Leo could hear it clearly the second Frank opened the door. He walked forward and entered slowly, looking back to make sure Frank could hear him, "I'll have one more dance, then I'll think about talking to those hotheads you can tolerate yet I can't, but maybe I'll deal with it just this once.."

Well it probably went somewhat like this:

"HEY DUMBASS!" You heard, angry footsteps approaching. "Bwuh?" You made a confused noise, turning to see Bakugou, in all his shitty posture. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, elbows locked and his head lowered, making his choppy bangs fall over his eyes. "You..." He rasped out, one hand rising up, pointing a threatening, naked finger directly at you. It seemed as though even the muscles in his fingers had tensed up entirely. 'Oh shit.' You thought to yourself. What did you do now? Did you say something wrong? Teased him one too many times? But your thoughts halted once his hand switched to show his thumb pointing at Bakugou himself. "I'M TAKING YOU TO THE ARCADE! THIS SATURDAY, TWO PM!" He barked out. You could see his face now. His jaw was clenched shut, his teeth pressing together in tension while his red eyes stared seemingly into your soul. Like he was trying to intimidate you, distracting you from what might be the sound of his heart pounding in his chest, like it was about to explode. "Uh." Was your first reaction. "O- Okay?" Was your second. "GOOD." He yelled. Shoving his hand back in his pocket, he turned around, snapping his head back down into its previous position as the stomped off. "DON'T BE LATE!" He added as he fled the interaction.

"Huh." You thought to yourself.

After receiving Joannie du'Preeste's report, the Governing Body was understandably concerned. Cooler heads reassured everyone that, until further analysis and a much more thorough scan of the entire interior of the planet is made, we should not jump to ludicrous conclusions. There is an unknown structure beneath the surface of the Earth that resembles a massive biological entity and it could just be a peculiar formation that our brains in their typical fashion interpret as such.

Then we did do a full scan of the planet and isolated the relevant layers and material compositions and

That is plausible, assuming this is an entity with supernatural powers. We only have anecdotal evidence of passive perception manipulation. If not, we will need to strategically share this discovery and manipulate a number of experts to perform innocuous activities that would indirectly examine and test various hypotheses.

If it's become somewhat observable because of that explosion, what's gonna happen when we can no longer maintain Earth's structural integrity and it fully collapses in, what was it, 95 years?

Rocket's past was so fucked up, like worse than I anticipated

His acceptance of being a raccoon was both touching and badass, he finally learned to love himself <3

I loved the friendships here, everyone clearly cared about each other and it was really sweet

Seriously, nobody fucking died. How did this happen? I went in there expecting my faves to die and came out without a single death

I'm happy but still in disbelief

I LOATHED the High Evolutionary I'm so glad they jumped his ass

I liked past!Gamora, she definitely warmed up to the others but also didn't leave her family with the Ravagers

Groot was really cool in this one, lots of fun uses of his powers

Drax started off somewhat lacking but his dad arc was very nice

Mantis honey I'll miss you :'(

Nebula didn't have an arc so much as solidify her character development, I liked it but most of her growth was getting used to the other guardians

Aside from her bestieeeeeee seriously I loved her friendship with Rocket so much

Speaking of friendship with Rocket, I wish Quill had a heart-to-heart with him at some point, but their friendship was still evident from how they acted toward each other

Quill leaving for Earth was a bit sad but it died in well with the theme of not running from who you are

And of accepting both loss and its possibility

God this movie explains "Everybody's got dead people" SO PAINFULLY

Anyway Rocket leading the gotg is neat, hope this sparks a return-to-DnA for him in the comics after the current dogshit run

Okay, first ever Tumblr post! Not sure if anyone will see this, but this is about the podcast The Sounds of Nightmares, set in the world of Little Nightmares. Specifically I’m looking at Chapter 3.

BIG SHIT

So to those of you who’ve listened or heard what happens, holy fuck right?! There’s some pretty big revelations (stuff theorized for a while certainly but never outright confirmed) in the episode. For one, it knocks the whole “it’s just a dream world” thing out of the park. Noone physically vanished from her world for a moment. I am certain that the Ferryman’s riddle is responsible for that.

Otto’s disgraced mentor published a paper in which he posited the existence of other worlds and other centers of reality. This professor suggests that their own world might be “secondary” in the cosmic hierarchy of existence. This is outright transdimensional or multiverse shit right here and I love it so much! It makes sense to me in that these children who are so alien to this world would end up there, though I also believe that there were regular people there too (and kids), at least formerly.

SMALL SHIT

Additionally, this is one of the first times we’ve heard the monsters of this other place speak, or at the very least coherently. Not just the Ferryman, who is called the Candleman predominantly, but also the shopping mall.

The shopping mall is the third location that we know if that’s suggested to be alive. The Maw is only indicated through reading Word of God stuff from Tarsier and the imagery that it must “feed” or must not perish. With the Signal Tower or Transmission or Flesh Walls or Black Tower, what have you, we see this evidence explicitly.

Back to the abandoned shopping mall, which is what they’ve named it on the wikia for Little Nightmares! It’s not clear if it feeds on anything at all or how. I will also say that I’m a sucker for a tragic beastie, which is the vibes that I’m getting from this being. However, I don’t think it would be good for Noone to have stayed there with it, even if it always treated her well.

The shopping mall appears to be suffering from serious mental health issues and is horribly lonely. It is desperate to have someone else stay with it, and also appears to be aware of the common fate that befalls children outside its walls.

So you know what, I’m gonna choose to believe that while it’s certainly dangerous the mall doesn’t mean children harm. It’s both incredibly lonely and entirely powerless to stop anyone who’d willingly stay with it (or be forced to stay) from being taken.

I’ve wondered if anyone else was somewhat hoping for least one friendly giant to appear in the Nowhere. Alas, this “friendly” giant is miserable, a little unstable, and totally powerless to save the company it desperately craves.

It actually reminds me of Six being trapped and warped within the Tower. There seemed to be no real benefit to that place in keeping her there other than maybe controlling Mono more easily. Maybe the Tower wanted her to stay too. Who knows!

The last thing I wanna cover is (drumroll) THE FERRYMAN! God I love this character. What’s so interesting to me about him is that he doesn’t appear to be running on a single base desire like most of the other adults. That suggests to me that he may never have been human in the first place and that he’s also directly working for the otherworldly entities of the Nowhere.

He’s definitely trying to draw Noone further in and I believe the riddle he told her is part of a ritual or incantation to lure her further in. Either she will continue out of curiosity, a desire to get better (not realizing it’s a trap), or if she resists she won’t a choice once it’s fully taken hold in her. The route I think this is going is that Noone will be pulled over physically for longer and longer, with the world becoming more and more clear, until she can no longer return. Her home reality may now be but a dream that she’s no longer on the same wavelength of to be able to return to.

Anyway, that was a lot of writing lol! Props to anyone who makes it to the end. Please feel to share your own ideas in here and thanks for listening!

CR3: EPISODE 62 RANT

Spoilers Below, duh.

All in all this episode was really fun. I really enjoy episodes that include a journey towards a destination and I love when each player has to roll for an outcome.

I liked the quiet moments between all of the characters as we're getting further into our time together and are becoming somewhat friends.

prism I think is the most likely to stay with the group (if that will ever even work out, like marisha said idk how they're gonna pull that off but i really hope we get a huge ass table full of players). bor'dor, who i am still incredibly suspicious of, seems genuinely distressed by his brother not being there and i think they brushed off the possibility that he got yeeted too quickly because it's honestly more than likely that it did happen. or he doesn't exist and bor'dor is a dog (I don't even like that theory it's just funny). denise seems like she just wants to find dariax, kick his ass and then get married and run off where ludinus can't touch them. i don't think she thinks that's possible but i really don't want her near the fray. dariax and the crown keepers seem like they're in the shit though.

orym didn't react to ashton bringing up the ashari (and i don't know if taliesin meant to say hishari but whatever) and (idk if i just forgot) but im pretty sure they still haven't talked about that since laudna encouraged ashton to speak with orym about it. i kinda remember orym not knowing about it but i could be misremembering though. either way, i think this particular episode ashton is... really desperate to figure themself out.

between asking orym to help him meditate on rocks (which was a really cute scene) to his interest in the skeleton embedded in the stone (plus the cool new shiny ring they got out of it) and the crystals at that creepy ass cavern -- i really hope he gets some answers soon. i have a feeling this might be the place to get it though, idk.

bor'dor seems to have the impression that the hellians think they're strong enough to stop the god eater but they don't even think they're strong enough to stop ludinus. they couldn't even beat otohan thull. they're not fighting because they think they can win, they're fighting because not fighting is no longer an option. there's nothing to do BUT fight. they know too much, and they have too much at stake to leave the battle.

imogen and orym especially. and there's no way in hell any of the bells hells will try to pretend to be okay with anything ludinus has done or will do. they know what he and his cult are capable of. I'm glad they got to express a bit of that though.

laudna called Imogen her sister but i lived through a time where dean winchester called the angel who is in love with him his brother so i didn't even flinch.

ashton got a massage from orym. it was appropriately sweet and hilarious. i think... orym might be one of the only people who consistently has touched ashton. i can't remember anyone asking explicit permission to touch him. i am so jazzed that they ENCOURAGED orym to touch them.

i think ashton has some of the best moments in their ability to create moments where between PCs where rp is at its finest. we haven't gotten another round of "what the fuck is up with that?" yet but that pipe was inspired. i love the little moments between him and prism. whenever ashton does something incredibly thoughtful they act like it's uncommon or a fluke and it's such bullshit cause he's SO consistent with his empathy. he's not a fucking public speaker by any means, but he has an energy around him that is unironically great to be around.

on a lighter note, my favourite moment (aside from the ashrym massage) from this episode is either orym praying to the wild mother or orym fucking hang gliding a eagle sized raven down a ravene. he's such a cutie.

i can't wait for the next episode. team issylra seems to think abadina betrayed them but i think the dude they're supposed to meet has been murked by whatever is in entombed. maybe it was set free by the same sort of dispelling magic shit that hit uthodurn and unpetrified the bull. if that's the case, hopefully this ends with the power of friendship prevailing as well.

sam and max, freelance police, begin a long string of investigations involving hypnotised celebrities, sentient computers, and conspiracies that go all the way to the TOP, baby

startin the year off good game wise then!! tbh i started this one in 2022 but it didnt make that list cause i just.. wasnt in a game playin mood towards the end i guess fghj but anyway!! really liked this one, ive seen a few mutuals who like this series so i was excited to play it and it was a lot of fun :] defo an old school point and click game and i rly liked the main characters themselves and the supporting cast!! glad theres another remaster i can jump into right after this one

i feel like every dark pictures game becomes my fave dark pictures game as they come out, but this one really was Very Good. i can confidently say this is probably the most scared ive been while playing a supermassive game Ever. the characters, while dysfunctional, grew on me a lot over the course of the game which made keeping them alive even more nailbiting :’] speaking of, the deaths in this one were Particularly gruesome imo, just from a concept standpoint, so big kudos for that too!! my only gripe is that i think the new “features” such as puzzle solving and traversal mechanics just artificially prolonged the runtime without actually adding anything to the experience

15/01 - Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space - 7/10

even more weird shit is afoot in the second sam and max game, this time our duo facing off against T-H-E-M, the bermuda triangle, and satan himself!! ... or was it santa??

2 sam and max games in one month, this may have detrimental effects on my brain :’] but really, i liked this one too!! not as much as the first, but i still liked the characters and overall story, i liked how it all connected to both the previous game and the events through this one. i found some of the puzzles a bit more difficult and obtuse, but they were still fun. another fun point and click game (tho somewhat dated in some cases fghjk)

18/01 - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments - 5/10

the game preceeding sherlock holmes: the devils daughter, which i completed last year, follows the titular character once more, solving 6 of his cases along with his partner dr john watson

eh, not much to say about this one. i certainly prefered the devils daughter, but that one was also kinda meh fghjk. with this one being an older game, the graphics and gameplay were a bit more janky, and i guess theyd changed voice actors for sherlock since this game cause i didnt like his voice in this one tbh. that being said, mystery wise id say its abt on par with the devils daughter. yeah, again, not much to say really :’]

24/01 - Psychonauts 2 - 10/10

a mole in headquarters, an evil from the past is rising again, and even MORE figments hidden in really obscure places... another day at the psychonauts office :V raz once again must delve into various brains to figure out what the Fuck is goin on

okay this game was literally so fkn good in every aspect. visually stunning, amazing story, brilliant characters both new and returning... GOD!!! what the first game did well, this one blew it CLEAN out of the water, i loved it a lot!! like idk what else to even say, it was just such a solid game i cant think of much to critisise :’]

04/02 - AI: The Somnium Files - 3/10

kaname date works for the police force for a department unknown to the general public, using groundbreaking technology, he delves into the minds of suspects and uncovers clues using their own memories. when a body shows up resembling a victim of a serial killer from a cold case, he begins his investigation

... man... spike chunsoft rly just know how to make characters that grate on me fghjk for starters ill praise the original concept and interesting story (when it finally got around to being revealed), but i disliked/was uninterested in most of the characters and thought the tropes they kept using were annoying and just plain weird. im not fully sure Why this game was a branching path type game since it never really plays into the plot and the main story could have easily been told with a single storyline. overall, didnt rly enjoy this one, but what can ya do they cant all be winners :’]

13/02 - Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus - 5/10

sly cooper, youngest descendent of the illustrious cooper thief clan, had his familys secrets stolen when he was just a lad. now he sets out to retrive what was taken from him and beat up some bad guys as he does

i gotta commend this game for the humour and the creativity with it, and im defo lookin forward to playing the rest of these games based off this one, but i think this first entry suffers from a lot of Jank that made it quite frustrating to play :’] also, there wasnt any way to mute anything except the music or adjust the volume so it would routinely blow the FUCK out of my eardrums. that bein said tho, still fun, very quick game, but im keepin it a low rating cause im expecting to like the later ones better :’]

26/02 - Hidden Agenda - 2/10

the infamous “trapper” killer makes a final confession while counting down the days on death row, claims he never killed anyone and he can help lead the police to exactly who did. detective becky marney must investige this case one more time and decide if hes lying, or if the killer is still afoot

im so so SO sorry to my friends who like this game but besties.... why fghj for starters i was locked out of playing it for almost 2 years when the app you are REQUIRED to use in order to play this thing just stopped working, and when i finally did start playing the jank didnt stop with just the app. the whole game seems to be a broken mess with textures flickering in and out, characters walking thru solid objects, its MADNESS. the story and characters are so.... not interesting :[ it takes only 2 hours to do a full runthru of the story so i never rly grew to care abt them and theyre so flat anyway that i didnt Want to. if it wasnt so clearly rushed i think itd be good, and some of the acting is actually rly stellar, but overall...... its a no from me

after a world ending catastrophe dubbed the death stranding wiped out modern life as we know it, humanity is scattered across america. its up to sam porter bridges, post apocalyptic delivery man, to travel across the country and unite those that remain

depsite how confusing this game was, and how slow it was paced, and how fkn damn weird it was half the time, i still had a lot of fun playing it :’] i enjoyed the characters, tho wish certain ones had more limelight, i enjoyed the actual gameplay, tho by the end game i was finding it a bit Too repetetive, and i found the story rly interesting, when i could understand what was going on fghj so basically for every good thing i liked, it was countered by something, tho they are fairly small things. also the ending cutscene is an hour n a half long and i was fkn 3 am when i was finally allowed to exit the damn game so, u know, beware of that

10/03 - Ratchet & Clank - 7/10

young mechanic ratchet, with his new buddy clank, join the galactic rangers in stopping the blargs from destroying countless planets in order to build their own

another game thats been on my backlog for ages, im glad to have this one done and dusted :’] i certainly had fun playing it, but i feel like it was a bit Too kiddy in some places for my personal taste (dialogue and humour wise that is, but since this was also made by insomniac of spiderman fame, it makes sense) and after a certain point the game becomes piss easy with all the upgrades u get, but i still enjoyed it

03/04 - Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves - 5/10

sly and his pals return to their thieving ways after learning that the infamous klaw gang have begun reassembling parts for slys arch nemesis; clockwork. they travel across the globe to stop them

man my descriptions are getting worse fghj but anyway, as with the first game, i rly enjoyed the characters!! and the music, and... thats pretty much it. i really dont know what it is about these sly games that i just cant seem to enjoy the gameplay but i Really Really dont have fun while playing them :[ which is a shame cause, like i say, great characters that id like to spend more time with. if this was supposed to be the best in the series, i think im gonna give the 3rd and 4th games a miss for now, but maybe ill come back to them in the future

29/04 - Last Day of June - 7/10

a short game depicting a young couple named carl and june, and the tragedy surrounding their relationship

this game doesnt actually have a plat, which is something im trying not to be too picky about going forward in terms of playing games, but even tho this game was super short i really liked it!! the story is rly simple but incredibly sad, and even though theres a lack of “voice acting” in the traditional sense, there was still a lot of great emotive acting in this. that being said, the fact some of the voices sounded so odd detracted from the seriousness of the plot sometimes, and the actual gameplay was kinda boring, but still a solid short game :]

i had it on my list of things to check out while i had the ps plus premium thinking it Was a game, but its not. its a strange kind of “art” thing according to the guide i used. i didnt rly know what was going on fghj. certainly a unique experience i suppose but nothing id recommend u go out of ur way to do, even if it takes literally 10 minutes to get all the trophies (no plat either)

08/05 - Kurushi - 2/10

ps1 puzzle game, another one from the ps plus catalogue

not much to say abt this one again fghj seems like these last few games have been kinda duds huh :’] ah well, theres certainly better games on the horizon i suppose. as said, this is just some puzzle game from the ps1, janky controls and all. the music is surprisingly good, sounds almost like disney instrumentals :’] not that fun without assisstance tbh

09/05 - The Gardens Between - 6/10

a very short puzzle game following 2 friends exploring a strange series of islands that tell the story of their friendship

when i say short i Mean short. like even without a guide i got this completely done in 2 1/2 hours, and that included me leaving the game on while i went to get something to eat from the kitchen. that being said, its a very cute game!! i enjoyed the puzzles, the style is nice and Capital-I-Indie, the musics nice and relaxing. the story was also nice, if sad, (can i say nice a few more times??? nice nice nice nice) but i just think this game is Wayyyy too short dfghj i think a lot more could have been done with it :’] glad i didnt pay the full £15 for this as it would have been a bit of a rip off

09/05 - Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent - 8/10

damn we’re just flying thru em now huh! ive actually played and 100%’d this game before on steam, as well as its sequel so i suppose im a little biased :’] but i rly like this game!! another short one, and another puzzle one, but i rly love the art style and story, as well as the puzzles being fairly simple but still fun!! its a shame the second game never made it to ps or id complete that one too but yeah, fun and simple puzzle game, defo recommend :] like most games like this tho, i wish it were longer

11/05 - ABZU - 6/10

you are a diver on a journey through the ocean, discovering the creatures that inhabit the waters

short n sweet indie game (anotha one) and this one was pleasant!! i rly liked the style and music, the story was simple but told fairly well, and just overall a nice game :] beyond that, not much to say tho fghj defo a very pretty game, and id recommend if you have an interest in marine life n such, but beyond that its pretty bog standard indie game

11/05 - The Pedestrian - 5/10

a short puzzle game where you traverse various signs as the tiny person within them

pretty straight forward puzzle game with a Weird ending that i dont quite understand fghj but overall it was enjoyable :’] most of these quicker games ive been playing lately have been super quick puzzle games so i might be getting burnt out on them, but even then i can appreciate the creativity of this one. its also another game with no plat which, considering it came out not 3 years ago, is kind of annoying

14/05 - Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - 4/10

two brothers venture on a quest to find medicine for their sick father

another short puzzle game, with a pretty interesting feature!! you control each brother with an analogue stick each, which can make coordination in some parts quite tricky if ur me fghj overall a pretty decent game, the story was kinda meh for me but i thought the gameplay was interesting, not much else tho

20/05 - Bloodborne - 6/10

the town of yharnam is crawling with beasts and hunters alike. fight through the corrupted streets and discover the fetid depths of this city and all the inhabitants trying super duper hard to kill you

im editing this from when i first wrote it after immediately finishing the game because i was cranky and frustrated because i cant in good faith give this game a score lower than 5 (mainly because i know the fromsoft fans would dox and kill me). this game is visually very nice, in the sense that it looks Horrible, which fits the vibe. the gothic style along with the monsters are really unique and detailed to the point where some of them are hard to look at. that being said, i personally didnt like this game. at all. i know on a “technical” level its very good, but i struggled for a Long Time to “git gud” as it were and surprisingly, dying a million times because you cant dodge within a 1/2 second window before being stun locked to death GREATLY decreased my enjoyment of this game. and thats all im gonna say about it :V

21/05 - Black Mirror - 4/10

following the suicide of his father, david gordon returns to scotland from india to inherit his familys estate. however, there are strange mysteries surrounding this house and the family who occupy it

pretty short horror/puzzle game that was pretty light on both the horror and puzzles fghj tho this game had a surprising amount of animation that looks fairly good which was a nice surprise. the characters were fine, and the story started out quite interesting but just felt a bit... weird. especially the ending, the final climax is basically just a bunch of qtes that ends really abruptly with little push back from the villain :’] for a free game i guess i cant complain too much

23/05 - Vampyr - 8/10

dr johnathan reid, recently turned vampire, has just returned home to london after serving as a field medic during the war. the streets are crawling with rogue vampires, and an epidemic is spreading quickly through the city, all while johnathan is searching for his maker

FINALLY A GAME I ENJOYED. GOD. okay so this was surprising because ive heard a lot of people call this game p mid, and maybe id think the same if it wasnt preceded by a whole bunch of Crap ive recently played, but here we are!! i really loved the chracters, i thought they were all fun and interesting, even the ones we dont meet for too long, and i also found the story super compelling!! the game Does have a bit of jank to it, with weirdly long loading times (even on the ps5) and the occassional graphical error, but otherwise i rly enjoyed this one :]

31/05 - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - 9/10

seperated after dr nefarious begins ripping holes into other dimensions, ratchet and clank must team up with another lombax named rivet and stop the universes from collapsing altogether

man this game was so fun!! i got the whole thing done and dusted over the course of 2 days :’] the writing was still a bit cheesy for me, and as implied the play time is Outrageously low for the steep price (which i thankfully avoided cause ps plus), but the gameplay itselt was Incredibly fun and engaging!! defo a huge step up from the first game in this reboot series. i also rly loved rivet so that certainly helped :’]

02/06 - Lake - 5/10

meredith weiss, a successful programmer, moves back to her childhood town of providence oaks to fill in her her dad at his post office job. deliver mail to the residents of this lakeside town and decide how meredith wants to end her 2 week stint

pretty cute indie game i got through ps plus, i kinda wish the whole thing Was just a post delivery simulator :’] the characters are okay, the storys okay if a little eh.... i wanna say Loose?? like the plot beats (if u can call them that) feel kinda boring n half arsed. theres also a random romance option in this which feels?? out of place and doesnt actully impact anything that much. overall its an okay game, like i say the thing i found the most fun was driving around delivering post but maybe thats just my autism showing :V

19/06 - LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean - 7/10

a lego retelling of all 4 pirate movies, with all the usual lego bells and whistles

pretty typical lego game, so the gameplay and stuff is p fun!! ive actually never seen these movies so i didnt rly know what was goin on half the time, especially because this is an Older lego game so theres zero voice acting in this. i also had quite a few crashes and bugs while playing where i had to restart either the level or the whole game, which got annoying during the cleanup grind. overall tho, cant go wrong with a lego game tbh

17/08 - Chicory: A Colorful Tale - 9/10

after all the colour in the world disappears out of nowhere, you must go on a quest across the picnic province to restore it using a magic paintbrush

you may notice the significant time gap between the last game and this one and uhhhh ngl folks i was Not Gamin dfghj i was Tired n a lil Sad but eh what can ya do, but this was a great game to come back with!! absolutely loved this one, super adorable art style and gameplay that reminded me a LOT of toem, very similar vibes but this game is much longer imo. id give it a perfect 10 if the collectibles weren’t so horrid to find fghjk but other than that cant recommend this one enough!!

29/08 - Observation - 7/10

dr emma fisher wakes up after the space station on which she resides undergos a catastrophic failure. take control ships ai, S.A.M., and attempt to reboot the systems and find the crew, who have all mysteriously disappeared...

rly quite liked this one!! the fact u control the ships ai is a pretty interesting feature and made the interface really cool and sci-fi lookin, defo alien inspired on that front. i liked the story, even if it Did get a bit confusing, and the voice acting was also pretty stellar!! gotta dock points for some classic indie game Jank, and the fact that there isnt a whole lot goin on gameplay wise (p much entirely minigames that arent that well explained to you that u only end up doing once) but the story and overall eerie atmosphere rly saved it for me

31/08 - OMNO - 5/10

short indie game where u travel through a mystical world, solve puzzles, and meet extraordinary animals

theres indie games and then theres Indie Games, u know?? this is the latter. and thats not a bad thing!! it just means its kinda... predictable. usual fare of no voice acting, gorgeous music, simple but stylised graphics etc etc. it was pretty cute and the puzzles were fun, but some of the controls felt a bit clunky and like i say, a little boring story wise imo (but maybe ive just played too many of these types of games). perfectly middle of the road :’]

03/09 - Tacoma - 7/10

you have been sent on a mission to retrieve the ai from a ship where all the crew have seemingly vanished (sounds a bit familiar huh?? all sci fi is the same (affectionately)). explore the ship and piece together what happened to everyone

anotha one, anotha sci fi indie game :’] rly liked the story of this one!! and it was an interesting mechanic to be able to view scenes of the crew via an AR system, and then also view their files and such. despite their limited appearances, all the crew members were interesting and unique, and no spoilers but it made the ending and its lead up a lot more exciting and intense. gotta dock points for how Glitchy this game was, it crashed at one point and started stuttering so bad i had to restart it manually, and also for how short it is. still, good story, good characters

06/09 - Chicken Police: Paint it RED! - 8/10

a gritty noir point and click detective game where u play as the infamous sonny featherland, one half of the crime fighting duo, chicken police. after a nervous dame shows up on his doorstep about her mistress recieving vague threats, he realises hes gotta take just one last case

anthropamorphic detective chickens..... played TOTALLY straight, mind you. like i was actually totally blown away by this game fghjk its Completely voice acted for one, and its Pretty Fuckin Good voice acting too, the story and mystery is Really interesting, the world its set in is super gritty and deep despite how little its kinda touched on through the story, i was very surprised!! i think the ending and reveal were a bit uhh.... abelist, not to get too into spoilers, but for a noir story i guess its par for the course. still, enjoyed this one!!

08/09 - The Testament of Sherlock Holmes - 5/10

a mutilated bishop, a deadly poison, and some other shady bullshit, its another sherlock holmes game

this is actually the oldest game in the series thats avilable on ps, ive kinda gone about playing these in the exact wrong order :’] that being said, i do think this is my Least favourite of the 3 ive played thus far. like crimes & punishment, this game also has plenty of jank, and the voice acting is a lil ehhh stiff for my taste. the puzzles were fine, the story was fine, overall just Fine. this game follows 1 case rather than multiple like its sequels do

10/09 - Garfield Kart: Furious Racing - 4/10

basically a mario kart clone but with garfield :]

now i am not one who loves racing games. in fact i suck quite badly at them. so u may wonder why i have a racing game in this list and well?? im ngl i bought this game as a meme and it ended up being so hard i had to put it down for a while dfghj BUT i came back to it and after hours of sweatin and gamer rage i DID IT!!! but at what cost. the game is fun, it looks nice, tho the only real garfield references it Has are its racers, the courses are kinda bland and generic. also the trophies...... my GOD the trophies..... not even a plat btw hhhh anyway if u like racing games check it out but if u Dont then DONT

17/09 - The Last of Us: Part 1 - 8/10

in the fungusy zombie apocalypse, smuggler joel is tasked with taking an immune girl, ellie, to a group of freedom fighters to create a cure. a remake of a remake :’]

obviously its good. i mean cmon. i remember watching a playthru of the OG og game wayyy back when so i kinda knew all the plot beats, but playing it myself in this beautiful 4k ps5 remake was Glorious (dont get me wrong, i think it was totally unnessesary to remake it AGAIN but it do look pretty). i can certaily see why this game has such a cult following and got the reception it did. maybe a Tad overhyped?? maybe a tad. but still good!! gameplay is solid, story is solid, characters are solid, whats not to like?? docking points for the frankly OBSCENE price point (luckily i got mine Mega cheap but go-LLY)

03/10 - The Last of Us: Part 2 - 10/10

after a devastating loss, ellie begins a gruelling quest for revenge and runs the risk of not only losing the ones she loves, but herself as well

i mean. fuck me guys. fuck ME. if the first game is good then this one is straight up glorious. the story is Vastly improved, so much tension and grey morality and Bone Deep Agony, emotionally and physically. its just such a hugely better game, both story and gameplay wise with a Bunch of new features and they arent afraid to take you to Extremely dark places with characters we already love and brand new ones too. this games going to be sitting with me for a long time i feel

I knock on Bakugo's doors hearing him groan knowing that was his was of telling me to come in *SHIT I'm dead* I walk in seeing his back turned to me, "You asked to see me?" I asked walking to his desk. "Where were you?" he said in a calm voice which surprised me. "Oh, today was my off day sir. I thought that meant it was yours too." I said sitting in the chair Infront of his desk. He turned around "You have no off days Y/n" he said eyeing me up and down, I didn't really dress to work today. In all honesty I thought we would just ask me to get him lunch. And yes he calls me by my first name, idk why It doesn't bother me. He's never called me L/n since I started working here.

I said standing up again.

"Didn't I tell you to sit," he said placing the paper on his desk, and making me sit back down by placing both of his hands on either side of the chair. his face was so close I could feel his breath on my nose. his eyes... why is he looking at me like that. My cheeks turn red and my shoulder tense up. "Bakugo w-what are you d-doing?" I said with wide eyes, He didn't say anything he just stared at me. he leaned to my left ear "You won't talk to that damn fucking nerd ever again you hear me?" he said breathing hard *Oh My GoD Katsuki if you don't back up right now I'm gonna... Please back up!!!* "Okay." is all I said why wasn't he backing up? I said okay! then I felt a slight pressure on my shoulder and I heard some mumbling. "Bakugo, I can't hear you you're gonna have to move you head" I said as he shook his head.

He moved his head off my shoulder, "It wasn't important, he said backing off me and back over to his chair. I can't help but to think that he was lying. "You can go home." he said going back to work on his computer. I wanted to say something but, I think it's best if I didn't. I walk out with out but before I close the door I look back to say something but his eyes are already on mine. His eyes widen, "There's no need to be jealous Bakugo, you know yours." I say smiling His cheeks turn the slightest color of pink *cute* I walk out of his office and turn to go to my desk *Welp I'm already here might as well get some work done.*

"I thought I told you to go home." A deep voice said, I knew who it was "And I am," I said grabbing my jacket. "I had a lot of emails to look at and since I was already here I just decided to stay." Just watched the finale and...

I almost feel nothing. I feel weird. I am both excited from the cool moments, and dissapointed by the cringe moments. Its like the cool matter and cringe matter met and they annihilated eahc other to zero. My mood swings about the finale is comparable to the infrared wavelength. Actually let me visualize this by showing the peaks as + and cringe moments as - +Vox laughing at the hotel's preparation -Vox swearing (Actually I'm giving a minus to all the swearing, which OH MY GOD!! There is so much of it, I have an extremely hard time to find this cool and interesting. Viv, STOP IT, PLEASE!) +General Pentious +Charlie's speech +The whole scene where everyone is enjoying themselfes before the fight -Besides Pentious expressing his feelings for Cherri (Which I do ship) the whole concept is rushed, she only appeared one time and when they are eye to eye the ship thing if forced quickly, and she only starts considering him after Angel tells her that he might have two dicks. Like, hmm, that would make it a very one sided relationship -The Charlie and Vaggie song having the same style as the Charlie and Lucifer song makes this all feel somewhat incestious. Am I the only one who feels that way? -Lute is being uncharacteristic with how she is swearing, feels a bit like the Striker treatement +I love everyone's battle outfits! I think Charlie's shield might be a reference to that one christian folklore how someone was using a shield made by Lucifer himself which later broke from another holy weapon +Alastor's shield -Yeah it is pretty weak how the angels can be killed with their own weapons, though I also find this interesting, maybe their own weapons can kill them not out of holyness, but from power-level essence, you get me? +++Besides the swearings and the Lucifer vs Adam fight, this battle was AWESOME!!! "Not my name" I really feel like this is Viv's spiteful way of saying "Fuck you guys, the way I name my characters is completely fine and stop whining like there is anything wrong with it." +Angel Dust protecting the Egg Boi ++Pentiou's build up of attacking Adam and manning up to kiss Cherri ----------Pentious being casually whiped out by Adam in one pew and everyone imemdiately mourning for him. Seriously WHAT THE FUCK!!! That was the most UNDERWHELMING SHIT I've ever seen! +Razzle and Dazzle becoming Dragon and Vaggie vs Lute fight, as well as her speech to humiliate Lute +Charlie and Adam's fight and interaction +Lute ripping her arm out --The entire Adam vs Lucifer fight and interaction. Okay I expected there to be a large power gap between those two, it is Lucifer after all, but it felt too one sides, and I got second hand embarrasment for Adam by being so casually humiliated by all these silly animal transformations and insult ---Also did Lucifer really sleep with Eve too? That makes the whole view on the Morningstar family relationship so wrong. Luci and Lilith supposedly were deeply in love, but if Lucifer must've slept with Eve too it must've been soon after he met Lilith too, and Luci was trying to be a sort of prometheus figure to Eve, what a massive downplay on so many things! Though I hope he wasn't serious about it and just wanted to get under Adam's skin ----Lucifer saying "I'm going to fuck you" to Adam was the MOST VRINGE INDUCING thing here! --Adam's true face. Look I don't care if this is suppose to reflect his actor's face, why is he this white boy hill billy? Jeez, does Viv even care about the Bible lore and trying to make it more accurate than just the surface level stuff?Would it have been so hard to just make him more lore accurate? I'm seriously starting to think Viv might have a kink on that.

[The following is a transcript of an interaction that took place between Lostfield Reporter Ruth Shirbon and “William Keane”.]

[The recording starts to the sound of hesitant, quiet footsteps and muttering.]

R: Can’t believe I’m out of data already. Ughhh. Worst timing ever. 

[A pause for a few seconds, the footsteps slowing to a halt.]

R: Oh no. Where do they keep student files. I forgot to look that up. Fuuuuck.

[The footsteps pick back up again, echoing through the empty hallway.]

R: [Sighing.] I guess the office is a good place to start. I just hope there isn’t an alarm on that door like there is on the main one.

[As they walk, they seem to get more confident, walking at full stride down the long corridor.]

R: God, this place is still… weird. Did they ever install security cam- oh, yep. Hello. Hopefully no one is actually checking this footage. 

[A brief pause, and then a quiet thud on metal.]

R: Heyyy, old locker. Wonder who’s using you now. They probably don’t have nearly as many cool posters, right?

[Dead silence.]

R: Haha, yeah…

[Suddenly, she gasps quietly, and as the recording falls silent again, there’s a distant sound of rustling paper from somewhere down the hallway.]

R: [Whispering.] Oh. Fuck. Is someone else-?

[The sound has stopped.]

R: Am I making that the fuck up…??? No one should- be here. On a Saturday. Other than, like, janitors, or something, but that’s… But there weren’t any cars in the parking lot?? God, okay, yeah, maybe I’m just going crazy.

{I was NOT.}

[Slowly, the footsteps pick back up as they continue. There are no other indications of life within the building until they round the corner and hear the sounds again.]

R: [Whisper shouting.] OKAY. DEFINITELY NOT GOING CRAZY.

[There’s a soft thud as she flattens herself against a wall to peek around the corner, sighing with partial relief when there’s nothing immediately there.]

R: [Still whispering.] Shit, the office door is open. 

[When nothing happens for a few seconds, aside from the continuation of somewhat aggressive page flipping, they slowly begin to creep down the corridor towards it.]

[The door creaks slightly as she opens it slightly more, but the sounds don’t stop, growing louder as the microphone nears their source. The room is completely pitch black.]

[A pause, for a few seconds, only filled by more rustling.]

[And then a click as Ruth flicks on the lights.]

[There’s a figure low to the floor, hunched over an array of discarded paper sheets and files. It’s seemingly engrossed in the reading, until the lights are turned on. He shrieks, quickly turning and pressing itself against a nearby filing cabinet. It appears terrified.]

[Ruth also screams and nearly falls backwards.]

R: Wait, wait, hold on, YOU???

{It’s “Will”. The one from the van and the one that’s been harassing me in my asks.}

W: YOU’RE KIDDING ME. HOW DID- THE SAME PLACE, AGAIN. 

R: UGHHH. WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE.

[The figure relaxes somewhat, still seemingly on edge.]

W: When I got new eyes, I... saw this place. I saw it was the highschool my fucking “file” said I went to. Figured my student files would still be here, even if put away. Soo..

[It gestures at the papers.]

W: Tadaaaa. Here we are.

R: Uggghhhhh. You can’t just steal the files before I come looking for them. I have an actual mystery to be solving! What are you even gaining from this? Just want to make your lie more convincing?? It’s not going to work on me, dude.

[He doesn’t respond for a few seconds, staring blankly.]

W: I mean this with the most respect, what the actual fuck are you on about. The fuck’s going on?

R: I’M THE ONE NOT MAKING SENSE. SURE. YOU HAVE SANS EYES, BRO.

W: THEY’RE ROBOTIC, DUDE. FEEL THEM IF YOU WANT, IT'S JUST METAL!

[“Will”’s head turns to the side, its body tensing up again. Fearful?]

[Ruth, immediately, takes a few steps into the room, reaches down, grabs one of the folders, and runs out again. Air rushes past the mic loudly.]

[There’s a shocked yell, before Will follows. His footsteps seem heavily, almost lethargic in their movements.]

W: DUDE! WAIT UP! WHY ARE YOU RUNNING SO FAST?

R: HAHA!! YOU FELL FOR IT!!

W: I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN??

R: That was like, the oldest trick in the book, man! 

W: I didn’t know that, dude! Give me my files back!

R: No!!! They aren’t-

[There is a short yelp and then a loud thud as Ruth trips and falls onto the tiles.]

[The footsteps behind Ruth skid to a halt next to them, and a concerned Will is heard, near the microphone.]

W: Fuck! Ruth, are you okay?! Are you hurt?!

R: No! I mean- yes, of course I’m- Stay back!! [Paper crinkling as she clutches them closer to herself defensively.]

W: Hey, Hey! I’m not gonna take them, I just…fuck, that looked like it hurt. Are you sure you’re okay?

R: Ughhhh, stop trying to trick me. I’m not going to trust you, demon. Trusting one with watching my car was enough.

[Will looked..hurt? By this, and moves back a little.]

W: Do I… Do I look like a demon? I bleed and piss like every other fucking human.

R: Why are you bringing piss into this. Jesus christ man.

W: It was something... nevermind. You’re the one making it weird dude, it’s just part of the body.

R: Can you just, like, leave me alone?? [There’s a sound of heavy boots stepping onto the floor as they stand up again, unsteadily at first.] I don’t understand why you need to be so hung up on impersonating him.

W: [Angrily, seemingly exasperated.] I am not impersonating anyone!! I’m a fucking human being, called William Keane, and I am so fed up of people telling me who the fuck I am! I’m a person! I just want to find out who the fuck I was after being through a shitshow for three years! Is that so much to fucking ask?! [He had tears running down its face. He just looked so tired.]

R: [Sounds slightly shaken up.] Whoa, whoa, okay, man. It’s not that serious. 

W: It… isn't that serious? [It barks out a mournful laugh.] I’ve been told for so fucking long, that I’m something I’m not. “The Archivist”. That fucking... I... You cant... you can’t blame me for holding onto my identity.

R: I’m not blaming you for anything, I just- Goddd, I just wanted to get in and out of here, this didn’t have to be a whole thing. Please man.

[Will dives for the papers Ruth is holding, trying to grab them.]

R: Whoa, WHOA!! NO!!! HEY!!!

W: I NEED TO KNOW, RUTH!! I'M SORRY!

R: YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING! I DO!! LET GO!!!

W: I’M THE PERSON THEY’RE ABOUT! NO!!!

R: NO, YOU’RE NOT.

[Will slaps at Ruth’s hand, not doing much damage.]

[Ruth shouts in dismay and does the exact same thing back, and soon they’re both just batting at each other while Ruth attempts to keep the papers away from it.]

W: Please I just... I need to know… wait. 

R: If you point over my shoulder and say “Look over there” I will bite you.

W: I mean, yes but also. Listen.

R: What do you-

[Faintly, there’s a sound of distant sirens, which seem to be getting progressively louder by the second.]

R: Oh, fuck. 

W: [Quieter] Shit. The door. Ruth, take them and leave. Get out of here.

R: [Hissed.] What?? No, what about- I mean, what are you planning?? Why would you just let me-??

W: Because I don’t want you hurt! I.... [Will pauses, seemingly trying to rebuild its composure. He looks at the floor.] I'm sure I have family out there, maybe. I… please. Just go, I’ll… I’ll deal with these fucks.

[The sirens are very loud now, like they’re right outside.]

R: I-

[There’s a shout from outside the building.]

?: COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!!

R: Ohhhh fuck oh fuck oh shit. 

W: Ruth, hide. Please. [Will steps backwards, in the direction of the entrance.]

R: Dude- how?? They- They probably have the building fucking surrounded by now!!

W: Hide under a desk or something? I think, as long as I make it seem I'm alone... man, it’s the only idea I have. Please, I... I don't want you to have a criminal record because of me. That's... it.

[There’s a sound of a door slamming open somewhere down the corridor.]

R: I never should’ve fucking come back here. 

[A cacophony of different voices erupt, none of them really discernable, as pairs of footsteps pound down the hallway. Everything gets louder for a moment, like the device has been taken out of a pocket, and then cuts off abruptly as the recording is stopped.]

You stormed out of her office your legs guiding you out of the big office complex. The second the fresh air hit the skin of your face you allowed yourself to slow down a bit. You took a deep breath.

You got ripped out of your counting when you felt a hand on your shoulder. "Y/n." The voice of the red head softly lingered on the shell of the ear, so soft you almost couldn't catch the melody sinking into your hearing. You slowly turned around, her hand laid still on your shoulder. It was as soft as her voice. She never was that soft. Her hands never caressed your skin slightly it was always rough. Your eyes fell onto hers. They looked soft. Or hurt? Did you disappoint her? Does she feel like you declined her bittersweet offer of her touch? You did but you didn't meant it that way.

Even though you knew you didn't do anything wrong a soft "sorry." left your mouth, a tear streaming down your face. Wilhemina grabbed your shoulder a bit firmer, still comforting. Her eyebrows furrowed softly as she looked at you in disbelief. "For what?"

Wilhemina couldn't believe her ear. Why did you apologize to her? She disappointed you. She was too rough. She always was but she also liked to push her limits. And she did. Too far.

Your mouth slightly opened, your voice shaking "I didn't mean to be rude or to disappoint you. I also know that all we have is physical and you're my boss but god Wilhemina how I would like to more know about you than what you let me see. How I would love to just ones please you."

You opened your heart trying to make her understand. Little do you know is it that what activated the little voices in the older woman's head. Wilhemina opened up by making you feel good and letting you see her anger. Unmasked. Was that emotion not worth anything?

Who the hell are you even to expect even more? "What do you expect me to do y/n? Show up on your door step with a Pizza and a bottle of wine telling you my life story?"

With that you turned around, opened the door of the car and drove off. Letting her stand there.

You still had multiple hours to work but you couldn't care less right now and to be honest, leaving here standing there like a fool, like she did multiple times with you already made you feel somewhat empowered.

Later that evening you decided to do some self care. Self care meaning putting on the widest clothes you had, shoving at least one kilogram of chocolate in your face.

Fuck all that, we make a face mask and take care of our hair. That's not self care that's playing Barbie. Just as you shoved another handful of Toffifee's in your mouth you hear a knock on your apartment door.

Lazily you got up opening the door immediately closing it again. Shock covered your face. "One moment!" You screamed running up your stairs brushing your hair and putting on a long sweatpants over your rather revealing shorts.

You run downstairs again opening the door to look at the shocked expression of the woman you admired so much. „Wouw." her deep raspy voice said scanning you up and down before a small chuckle escaped her mouth.

You rolled your eyes. „What do you want here Wilhemina?" Her eyes lost its glimmer and immediately they bored into yours again with the most sincere expression you ever saw of her. She didn't talk but held up a pizza carton in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other. THE Wilhemina Venable stood infront of your door. With a pizza. You were still angry but couldn't help the small smile forming on your face, you stepped aside motioning for her to come in. You both walked into the living room. Without saying a word she placed herself on your big dark grey couch. When she sat you both heard a noise.

Shit.

She reached under her bottom pulling out an empty bag of chips. „Well darling I didn't mean for you to be unhealthy but I'm glad that's the way you cope I guess." she said with a small frown making you laugh. You let yourself fall next to her. „You are something Wilhemina Venable." you chuckled. You both started eating the pizza she brought. Spinach. You once told her how much you loved spinach.

Did she actually listen and remember that none sense?

You ate piece after piece in silence and you couldn't be mad anymore the way she was sitting so sweet next to you. You looked at her, another chuckle leaving your lips when you regarded the small spot of tomato sauce smeared over the corner of her lips. She looked at you confused. „What?" you leaned into her, your body getting closer to hers and the warmth you always felt with her inflicted your stomach. You let your fingers trace over the corner of her lip wiping the sauce off her precious face. „You too." she suddenly bursted out. You looked at her confused, finger still lingering on her face.

She seemed to understand because she resumed her phrase with a „something. You are something too." I smiled at her which she returned. Wilhemina Venable wasn't a person who smiled a lot but good lord when she did it brightened up the entire universe. „I'm sorry y/n." she continued. „What for?" I asked. She didn't had to be sorry. I knew what I got myself into. „For being so rude to you when you were nothing but understanding and nice. For taking you as if it just was your body. For taking off my anger. For not coping with a bunch of chocolate but for coping in a way that hurted you. I wanna make it up to you again."

I looked into her dark brown eyes and couldn't help but simply smile. The happiness she could inflict in me was not to describe. „Let me desire you." she whispered out, our faces still so close I could smell her perfume on her neck. My eyes twitched to her lips and up to her eyes again before she pulled me in, her soft lips finally touching mine. It felt like an explosion. Her lips immediately moved in the same rhythm as mine.

She didn't kissed as harsh as I expected a woman like her to kiss. Hell no her kisses felt like buying cotton candy at a carnival stand. He'll help, he'll figure out how to drag KidFlash back from the Speed Force, because it was his plan and it wasn't perfect because of the fatality. It irks Lex, to have a child sacrifice attached to saving the world (and because ppl keeps talking about heroic sacrifice and not Lex being brilliant and fuck that)

Then Artemis demands a job, bc she needs an excuse to keep an eye on him.

Buh buh? Okay? Is her answer, because that was the one thing Lex didn't expected to happen in this conversation. Ppl demanding at gunpoint to get hired are quite a novelty.

Superboy would eventually join the plot, because what are you doing, he's dangerous. At this point Lex would be invested enough in the mad science of it all to quip jokes and deadpan at Connor, but little else.

So Connor just sorta hangs out nearby and becomes someone to bounce ideas off. And probably hoping to God he hasn't inherited that brain because what even the fuck. But also because he can steer Lex away from more fucked up shit by dangling shiny exciting science challenge in front of him.

And maybe a little bit of bonding happened. Mostly Artemis and Lex cheerfully talking about fucked up parents, and Connor being the sole sane person in the room.

Wally would eventually be back.

And be very confused about having a child. And Lex Luthor being a grandfather figure to said child.

(and being more panicked about this than Wally. He decided to science himself up a teenage son for more reason than fighting Superman)

Wyatt couldn’t see.

Warm, coppery blood was dripping over his tightly closed eyes, some dribbling past his lips and landing on his tongue as the gash on his head continued to throb .

He had just — just been on a patrol, nothing out of the ordinary, and — fuck . He hadn’t meant to trigger the trap, silver teeth snapping closed around his leg. He hadn’t even seen it.

In his frantic attempt to get it off, he’d fallen to the ground entirely, landing face first into what must have been another one.

His eyes burned. 

This wasn’t supposed to happen, and Willa was going to kill him, but maybe… maybe he could take care of it on his own! That didn’t sound too difficult, he could just carefully tug his leg free, even though he couldn’t really see it—

He howled in pain, claws digging into his leg on reflex, and that only made it worse.

Fuck .

Jesus, Willa was going to end him if he didn’t die of silver poisoning first.

He howled again, knowing his sister must still be nearby. The more prideful part of him almost hoped she wouldn’t hear.

The little brother part of him really hoped she would.

The silver was straight fire , setting the blood still on his insides ablaze. It was a special, hell kind of pain.

He smelled his sister before he heard her. Leave it to the alpha to be quiet as a mouse, even on crunchy leaves and snappable twigs.

“Wyatt?”

“H—ey, Wills,” he said, attempting a lighthearted smile. It probably looked more like a grimace. It sure felt like one.

“Oh my god,” Willa said, horror-stricken. “What happened?”

“Tripped,” he said with an accompanying hiss of discomfort. “I know you’re always tellin’ me to watch where I’m going, but,” he managed a momentary, twitching grin. “In my defense, this wasn’t supposed to happen.”

“Is it ever?” Willa asked, mostly to herself. 

Her hand landed on his cheek, gently, and she carefully tilted his head this way and that, assumably examining the injuries on his face.

“You think it’ll scar?” He asked, “give the ladies a little something to look at?”

Willa didn’t respond. She just huffed an almost-chuckle, tracing the pads of her fingers gently over his skin. 

“We need to get that trap off your leg,” she finally said, worry stitched through her voice. “But we’re so far out from the den… shit.”

She may have still been talking, but honestly, Wyatt’s head was swimming enough as it was, and with the piercingly loud ringing in his ears that was no doubt linked to the unholy fire the silver was currently trying to set him on, he couldn’t… be bothered to really… listen.

“Wyatt? Hey!” Strong hands gripped his shoulders, shaking him softly. “You’re okay. I’m going to take it off, are you ready?”

“Just make it quick,” he said, digging his claws into the earth in preparation for the pain about to be reigned upon him.

The metallic pressure came off in one instant snap, and he screamed , a howl that must have truly torn his throat with its hoarse desperation. 

He could feel the silver forcing its last touch of poison into his blood. 

For a long, horrible few minutes, he just breathed , panting and taking in grateful gasps of air as tears pushed past his still closed eyes. He couldn’t begin to imagine the pathetic mess he must have looked.

Finally, when the pain was somewhat bearable to exist with again, he slowly, carefully removed his fingers from the dirt, wiping his eyes dry.

Getting his first glimpse of Willa, he immediately frowned. She had torn the bottom of her shirt to wrap hastily around his wound. He was grateful, of course, but a younger, more anxious version of himself told him to feel guilty over it.

His eyes settled on her hands, and the freshly inflicted burns on them. 

Wyatt’s stomach churned. He should have just clawed the damn thing off himself, but now Willa had hurt herself to help him, help him out of a completely preventable situation that he’d just stumbled into, and what kind of a fucking beta was incompetent enough to do that, and fuck —

He sniffled, embarrassed and guilty and in pain and wanting nothing more than to curl up in a ball and sleep until he was either healed or dead .

“You better not be doing it,” Willa warned, gingerly wiping his tears.

“Doing what?” 

“Throwing a pity party for yourself,” she stated matter-of-factly. His mouth hung open, unsure how to respond. “ Wyatt ,” she said, putting her hands firmly on his shoulders. “I’m not mad that this happened. I’m mad at whatever dipshits put those traps out in the first place. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Your hands…” he protested pathetically.

“What, you think your alpha can’t handle a couple burns? Please .”

The dramatic way she flipped her hair, at least, reached its obvious goal in getting a tiny, genuine smile out of him.

“Now, let’s get back to the den,” she said, helping him to his feet. “And get you taken care of for real.” Casually, she snaked an arm around him in a clear attempt to stabilize him.

“I don’t need help walking,” he whined, despite being absolutely sure that his leg was on the verge of needing amputation. 

Willa just kept helping him along, her firm grip silently saying something along the lines of “yeah right, dipshit”.

Although she probably wouldn’t have said it like that. Right now, at least.

Ohmygod ohmygod. I'm so sleep deprived but I called out of work so it's fine. I kinda did a quick as fuck playthrough (took me six hours with the breaks I took because I'm bad at videogames) and I have some thoughts SEPARATE WAYS SPOILERS AHEAD:

I didn't think they would retcon Ada saving Luis, it was more so something I just really HOPED would happen but the fact she was RIGHT THERE and still went after Krauser? In character but disappointing. I guess her character arc is a slower one. Although maybe she just assumed that what Luis said was true or Leon could help him idk.

WESKER AND ADA OHMYGOD?!? I SAID THEY WERE FUCKING AS A JOKE BUT CAPCOM SAID BET! THEYRE FUCKING FUCKINH OHMYGOD?!?!?!

Whatever shit with the one thing (I think U3 in the original but I'm not sure if it was given a different name here) was...somewhat anticlimactic. I can see the different strain not needing radiation to kill it but I think it would have been more interesting if Ada coughed it up way later in the game.

Like I actually felt the weird sort of longing that they both had for each other that I didn't enjoy in 4 original or 6 (omg 6, that needs its own rant post) Ada is clearly still attracted to him but she has to be forced to see him having gotten over her, at least to whatever degree Leon can get over anything, especially seeing him with Ashley. Ohmygod. There's a lot of subtext I'm reading into but her watching them after she wakes up on the cot, I could feel the conflicting emotions there even though Ada didn't say shit about it, because she wouldn't.

the whole first kitchen scene took a long time to write. not as long as the second kitchen scene that took all of my brain power, but this one also took some writing and rearranging and editing/deleting. like the 3tan9 scraps docs is 3k+ words. i had to shave off a lot that didn't seem like it fit right! but i'm proud of reader for telling yoongi what she said to jk. like. that's a huge admission (aND it's literally reader's last thought in sundress season!!!! this wasn't a surprise but it is to yoongi :')))) )
