bd!dabi and y/n’s reaction at parent teacher conference when the teacher says kaedes getting picked on

oh a parent teacher conference in general is absolutely chaos no matter what the results are but when it's a conference out of no where...that's different.

dabi immediately assumes that kaede got in trouble and he's a PROUD man "i know he'd turn out like me sooner or later, you're too soft." or something along the lines of that is stuff he'd say on the way but you're just confused because kaede's always been a good child, maybe he's just falling a little behind from his other classmates?

well, you were wrong. when his teacher told you that he was getting picked on, all you could do is sit there shocked and ask them how this even happened but dabi...oh he's already yelling. he's shouting, full-on threatening everyone even people who aren't even in the room "where is this brat!? where are their parents huh!" there is no calming him down now, he's going to keep yelling until he sees this kid's parents and even then he'll keep yelling.

when kaede finally is brought in the room, he has tears in his eyes and spilled milk all over his uniform that was in his arms, he was wearing his spares instead. and it just makes you begin to cry but dabi just gets even more enraged "how long has this even been happening?" he asks the teacher while you picked up your son who muttered to you that he wanted to go home.

"we don't know, we only saw it tod–" how!? they're five, how hard can it be to watch over them?" dabi yells as you run your fingers through kaede's hair, when you see that your boyfriend is getting too upset, you go to him and put your hand on his shoulder which at least draws his attention from his anger for a second.

a sigh leaves his throat "take him to the car." but you refuse "no, you take him." you said putting your child into dabi's arms. he tried to debate with you but ultimately you won, you didn't need him to fight every single person in this school and get kaede kicked out.

"kaede." dabi said and his crying son looked up at him with a quivering bottom lip "don't tell mommy but tonight we're gonna light that little fucker's house on fire." kaede gasped at his father's foul language "no cursing...and violent isn't nice." and dabi only sighed. even in a state of sobbing, kaede still remembered the things you taught him.

"fine...we're just gonna get that little...kid expelled. grandpa is useful after all." dabi said flashing his son a small smile making kaede giggle. dabi HATESSSSS talking to enji but, sometimes he can be useful and this is one of those times. thanks to you for forcing him to keep talking to his family.

Enji is gay and not repressed about it, he knows he is, but he’s still homophobic as hell. Will go on a public rant about how Sesame Street is turning all the kids gay and all you snowflakes are mad that somebody is finally saying smth. Then he’ll get cancelled and fuck a man about it.

Rei is a lesbian but also doesn’t think queer people exist. Sheltered by her family when growing up. Isolated by her husband in marriage. And life in a hospital isn’t usually conducive to learning queer rights.

Natsuo is pansexual and is very loud and proud at pride to spite Endeavor. Will get in front of a news crew completely decked out in pride gear and say “Wishing everyone a happy Pride from the Todoroki Family 🥰✌️.” And yes this is after Endeavor gets canceled.

Fuyumi is lesbian but thinks it’s selfish to be out, and it just makes life hard and uncomfortable for other people. A friend of hers tells her that they’re coming out to their family and she very sincerely and without any malice asks why and urges them not to.

Touya is masc preference bisexual and hates everyone equally but in a South Park way and says awful shit all the time. Like when queer folks are homophobic as a bit, but nobody knows it’s a bit because he’s aggressively straight passing.

Could you like, imagine if Rei was his daughter he didn't know what to do with, she's strong and cold but doesn't particularly want to be a villain, and he doesn't much want her to be one either, not in any way that threatens his stuff or her life at least. But then he hears Endeavor's been looking around for a match and he thinks "oh, there's no way he's gonna fall for an ice match right, he knows that would end awful right" but uh he fell for the match and the fake family in need and Rei's beautiful but aloof air, so,,, why not stick with it and see where it goes? it'll be good blackmail material, right? and its not like his daughter has a life of her own, or anything. he can bring her back to the base after and no one is any wiser, and she'll hate heroes even more and- kid?? and a second kid so soon? does she just want to get it over with? well seems like it's working, his underling tells him Touya is having problems with his quirk, but now instead of divorce and setting himself up for blackmail, Endeavor just keeps trying?? now four grandkids?? and Rei, showing her nerves on the phonecall with him for the first time in years, tells him that Touya tried to kill his baby brother and this one actually had the quirk Endeavor wanted and AfO thought impossible?? AfO decides nows the time to collect his family back and gets Touya before he can completely burn up, but Rei realizes she'd rather have her kids stuck with Enji than AfO, so she chooses to burn Shoto's face so Enji keeps him close and sends her away and??? i dunno she just hopes everyone forgets about Fuyumi and Natsuo because they're safer ignored and neglected than anything else???

Enjis mansion is kind of typical traditional old family. Not necessary they were rich but its usually everything from the family being in the traditional arts, martial arts, old reputed family(not necessarily noble) who never sold, political or government work or business owners. Theres this manga where the martial arts teaching grandfather raises the kids and the house looks smaller but similar but they're supposed to be poor. Theres also the Yakuza but Chisaki's boss had a modern house.

*by old reputed family can also be his ancestors were landlords of rice or tea(it being Shizuoka, if it were more real) or descended from samurais or ancient merchants but gone into middle class(just inherited the house)

That's very interesting to think about! I feel like for someone Japanese all of that will feel intuitive... I am left to wonder

But I imagined something like that! That it's an old family that slowly but surely ended up in the middle class. It's a bit hard to understand it period-wise because the manga set in the future looks contemporary but in flashbacks with 1st user, it still looked kind of modern? It is confusing in this regard

Want to go to 7/11 with grandpa Enji? Hell no.). Child reader wants an Endeavour hero figure? Of course, darling! Here, take one from daddy's collection 🥰🥰🥰 Dont wanna eat your peas? Sorry, doll. You're gonna have to finish your plate, even if you try to look adorably menacing by fluffing up your wings.

Oh and your wings😭 You know how Rei has a weird thing for your hair (and she definitely gives you a flea bath after you hang out with hawks)? Yeah that's how Keigo is with your wings- obsessed. He takes care of them, cleans them out and even has you sit for hours if that's how long it takes him to groom them. "Its no use swatting me, baby. I'm still not letting you move an inch until I'm done. So, just sit back and relax.🥰" keigo would say as he hands his phone to watch some shows.

I headcanon that Keigo's kid will be sassy and quick as him. The two can bicker for hours, and no ones really sure whether you're just that good at arguments or if Keigo just let's you win because he loves you so much.

I can also see Keigo and reader bonding over their mutual love for pro hero Endeavour (but in very different ways💀)

Dad Keigo adores spending time with you, especially now that you're put in a safehouse with only a handful people he let's you meet. A major part of his life is feeding you. Maybe it's the bird brain, maybe it's his childhood trauma, but Keigo has to cook meals for you and he has to watch you eat them. He's not sure, but it makes him be at peace knowing that you sleep with a tummy full and a warm bed.

I think as far as flying goes, Keigo tells you to only to do it under his supervision. You know how sometimes you forget how ti breathe and then making a concious effort to breathe makes it difficult to do so? That's what Keigo thinks happens. He thinks that if you fly alone, you might suddenly forget how flap your wings or maybe you get tired and then you're just crashing down to the ground. Unfortunately for his weak heart, you don't listen to him and fly as high as you can.

Would Keigo let you go to school? Initially, yes. But it only takes one incident, something even as harmless as a stupid prank call threatening his child (Dabi did the call), and that's enough for him to go hay wire and pull you out of school and move to a new safehouse, cut off from anyone and everyone. When he has to leave, he'd either drop you off at Enji's, OR have someone from the Hero Comminsion come and babysit you.

You can pout and cry and scream at him all you want, he's not changing his mind. You're his baby, his only light, only will to live, he can't risk your life.

His life would only become more complicated if either of you get a love interest. For you, the choices are: Katsuki, Tokoyami, Izuku. For him, the choices are: Dabi, your baby mama, Miruko.

Amnesia!Dabi

Ok, I said it briefly before, but I feel this needs its own thing.

Dabi’s been staying at home the Todoroki’s  He’s been staying with the Todoroki’s for a bit. He’s had a few triggers pulled, he’s starting to believe he’s actually Touya. He digs through the minor stuff he brought with him, pulls out his notebooks full of theories and stuff he knows about himself. He keeps the one full of stuff he knows, but decides to chuck out the one full of theories. I mean, he knows who he is now, (right?). Only, Shouto sees him with the notebooks, and asks what they are.

Natsuo comes in ten minutes later. Stares a minute. “Sho. What are you doing?”

Shouto: “We’re looking through Touya’s theories on who he is, and why he might have memory loss.”

Natsuo: “… . but we KNOW who he is.”

Shouto: “That means nothing. We don’t know what happened after.”

Natsuo: “… . really.”

Dabi: “I still say government experiment would make a lot of sense.”

Natsuo opens his mouth. Closes it. “Let me see.”

An hour later, Fuyumi walks in to the three of them (and Himiko) debating how likely it is Dabi is a victim of time travel.

That is probably one of the larger mysteries for them because like. They have no idea what happened between the fire and Toya waking up with amnesia. And that bothers them because clearly something did happen or else he would’ve been found in the aftermath of the fire.

But also they’re going nuts with the options so.

Enji: “You know what I’m throwing my vote in for government experiment. That Commission Representative was real upset I wouldn’t let him get his hands on you.”

Hawks: “Oh I’m going to unpack that red flag of a statement later, but I don’t think it’s the Commission. They wouldn’t let you escape, and if you did they wouldn’t let you talk.”

Himiko: “You’re going to have to explain to me how that statement was /less/ of a red flag!”

Shoto: “I’m arguing in favor of AfO being involved. It would explain the horns and tail situation.”

Enji: “Oh no that makes the most sense about this.”

Natsuo: “How does that make sense?!”

Enji: “Whatever he went through caused another Awakening, sometimes Awakenings pull from dormant genetics instead of evolving a Quirk, so you rolled the dice and got my father’s Quirk.”

Toya: “Back up. What do you mean ‘another’ Awakening?”

Burnin: “I was kicking your ass in the Sports Festival and you got so mad about that your fire went from normal red to blue.”

Toya: “... Okay follow up question because this is the first time anyone’s mentioned grandparents so Grandpa has a Mutation Quirk?”

Enji: “Before you ask further, my parents are dead and Rei’s parents fucking suck. It was kinda funny to think about them realizing the potential for their grandchildren to be ‘some filthy mutts’.”

Fuyumi: “Actually now that you mention it, I’m throwing them in the ring for this situation. They’re sketchy as hell rich people I wouldn’t put it past kidnapping.”

Himiko: “I’m voting on Fuyumi’s side!”

One of his employees died so he found her daughter and raised her. Survived for a while. Is supposed to be the protagonist lol. Wholesome grandpa

Fantine:

My poor girl deserved the world. Her bf got her pregnant and fled :(. Sorry if this bothers you but I was surfing the net and re-watching/re-reading the Endeavor agency arc, and I remembered people getting so angry at Fuyumi for giving Enji Shouto’s information and how that crossed a boundary. I do sort of see what they mean with Shouto being his victim and he the abuser so it’s kind of nasty to give a victims information to the abuser BUT at the same time regardless of how horrible he was as a father he’s the parental figure they in general are meant to have information, and like Fuyumi is hardly unforgivable for giving information. I just felt it was unreasonable to hate on her for that, and like I definitely do agree that it was rude of Enji to bombard Shouto with calls and messages but still Fuyumi didn’t deserve the hate! Do you have any thoughts on this whole situation? Or have you talked about this situation before?

I wrote about it, but can't find it back for the life of me. Maybe check the Fuyumi-tag.

But basically, I agree that the Fuyumi-hate over sharing Shouto's LINE contact (which I think is like a Snapchat handle / separate from the phone number, which Endeavor obviously already knew considering he's paying for the bill) was way blown out of proportion.

Endeavor was already calling Shouto - so it's not like he didn't get a way to bug Shouto before.

Also, if you look at the timeline, the Joint Training arc takes place 3 days after the Endeavor vs Hood battle - 2 of which, Endeavor was in the hospital in critical condition. So it was on one of those three hectic / traumatic days where Fuyumi gave the contact info to Enji. Sure, it's Shouto's privacy - but it's not like he couldn't make a new ID if he wanted to.

Also, for me that played more like a gag scene - for Endeavor's "Shoto-itis" and how Shouto was still in his petty-phase, where he was ghosting / ignoring his dad. The Licensing Arc established that it was not a valid strategy if Shouto wanted to become a hero. He needed to face his feelings about his father.

And the JTA confronted him with the fact that he was starting to fall behind Bakugou and Deku because he was not using his fire at its full potential.

So all these feelings pushed Shouto over to make the decision to go train with Endeavor and have faith in himself that he wouldn't lose sight of who he wants to be. That's what the phone-ghosting scenes are about, and the fact that Endeavor had to beg Fuyumi to give him Shouto's contact or that he was texting like a grandpa were comic relief around a really serious situation: which is Shouto's decision to put himself through flashfire training a second time, after how traumatic it was during his childhood.

Ok so I just made a drawing of blasian transfem todoroki and I wanna talk about that because now I have a whole au for it.

(Btw I'm Brazilian and I'm gonna make this about me )

Ok so au in which Endeavor can't find a woman with ice powers in Japan so he travels all over the world looking for one. As you may or may not know 55% of Brazils population is black so yeah he finds someone with ice powers here and she agrees to marry him and move to Japan. There they have four kids until she gets super tired of his bullshit and with help from her parents moves back to Brazil. Then canonish stuff happens, Fuyumi and Natsuo have shitty powers, Toya runs away and that leaves Endeavor to train "Shoto". Throughout the years the mental and physical abuse gets worse and worse, until middle school when Todoroki finds out the meaning of the word 'transgender' by making searches about feeling like a girl in the school computer. She decides on the name Saori and because she has 0 clue of social cues she tells Endeavor right away. Then he gets super mad and basically calls her a bunch of stuff and throws boiling water at her (in this au, that's how she gets the scar). Fuyumi finds out about this and manages to put up a legal fight against her father along with Natsuo. With enough proof that Enji was a piece of shit (after all, who would attack the number two heroes daughter ? Who would risk that but the number two hero himself ? ) they take away legal guardian of Saori from him and he also pays some fines thought he's not arrested cause he's a cishet man and the world is unfair. Unfortunately, Fuyumi is in no mental state to take care of her sister and Natsuo is a college student. So Saori Todoroki goes to live with her mom in Brazil, a woman she had little to no contact with throughout her life.

She promptly informs her mom she still wants to be a hero, that was a dream of hers and had nothing to do with her dad. So her mom puts her in a Brazilian hero school called Construindo o Futuro (building the future ). There, she meets Japanese descendent Izumi Midoryia. Izumis grandpa came from Japan during world War two (that actually happened, Brazil got a lot of Asian immigrants during the world wars .) Midoryias family has lots of consideration for their Japanese roots so she speaks a bit of Japanese, which helps a lot with Todorokis adaptation to the school seemed shes still struggling with her Portuguese.

So Izumi and Saori become besties and we get a Brazilian class 1A of heroes.

For this au I'm also thinking t4t Kiribaku, black Mina Ashido, petista Ochaco Uraraka and autistic tododeku!

i honestly have nothing to add to this, because this, is so funny to me. like yeah, mirio is tresspassing, but do you thing enji cares? he knows that mirio is like himself at a young age, but the better parts of him. the drive so save, the drive to help. and he may be a bit obsessive and protective, but so are all the todorokis.

I may or may not had a terrible AU idea, so Go Gun He from solo leveling after he drank the water of life which makes him live longer plus him at his peak when he was a S rank in the the verse, but he gets sent to my hero academy universe, and like him being good with kids and all, he get together with endeavor, endeavor gets mpreg, but very few people knows how strong Go gun he is, so he can be a stay at home dad and also kick ass if needed

As far as I can tell, the Riders only appear in the MH Stories spinoff games. Hunters job is to kill monsters that threaten to destroy the balance of an ecosystem, so if there are too many of a species or a species in invasive for a region, etc. Riders aren't really organized the same way, mostly being a culture from smaller tribes. I could be wrong about that. Riders get their name from how they will steal monster eggs and raise the hatched monsters as partners, who they fight alongside and even, well, ride. I don't know if there's a prestige to Riders at all outside of Rider circles, but there are Riders famous enough that Hunters know them by name alone.

5. The basic concept of Redoer that we didn't see from her perspective is that each of Midoriya's school years had a different antagonist. First year was AFO, second year was MLA, third year is HPSC. So I don't know if AFO is dead or if he's in jail, but he's out of the story.

6. So the thing is that you don't choose a Hero specialty until graduation, meaning he has no idea that Todoroki is planning this. This is played for dramatic irony, both as comedy and... not.

hmm, let's think !!!! i always imagine him having kids a little young, a bit unplanned 💀 and, i've said this before, but i think 🥺 he's not around in his first baby's life very much IN THE BEGINNING 🥺 i think he has to go through a whole crises about it and he has to confront his family trauma and willingly step into fatherhood ! which isn't easy for him !! i imagine when his partner tells him they're having a baby, he kind of runs 💀 BUT i think he would tell someone eventually, before she's born, as a sort of hand off ?? of responsibility ?? bc if he tells rei, then he can be comforted by the fact that he KNOWS his mom won't leave that baby behind. even if he's not in the picture, i imagine his mother AT THE VERY LEAST (bc i do imagine all his siblings would want to be there for her too) being involved in her life.

and so bc of that — by the time touya returns and is ALLOWED back in her life by the mama, she already knows and is comfortable with his family ! as far as enji...in every modern au, i imagine he and rei and divorced and separated. is he still around ?? yes, at least with rei and fuyumi and MAYBE shouto, but he's not living in the home or anything. natsu wants nothing to do with him LOL ever.
