Perfuma: I shouldn't offer to act as one for my friends, and won't do so in the future.
Scorpia: Thank you. We'll circle back to how this led to you and Catra blowing up Shadow Weaver's statue in the Hall of Sorcerers after I've paid your bail.
Also my hamster, who was also my best friend, died yesterday so I've been feeling super shitty, I'd love it if you could interact with my posts a little, i think it could cheer me up (sorry)
au where geralt has made up and lied about jaskier for years-- he never met a bard in posada, he was kidnapped alone, there was no "toss a coin" song that got hugely famous-- it was a little lie that grew into something huge because he was so crushingly lonely.
but then, one day, out on a contract, who does he find..... but jaskier. real and alive and staring at him
I need to discuss this later on since blowing up the kitchen with a duck inspired it. Though Sayuri was raised by her Auntie Hatsuko; it was not an environment that she could have thrived in. The controversy surrounding the current Matriarch to the Kobayashi Clan is warranted, Hatsuko is selfish, vain, and arrogant. While she fiercely provides for her family, she is no position to protect them, hence there is hushed chatter on how they are currently vulnerable to political sabotage. Since she is a Tayu, her individualism stands out in their world that adheres strictly to conform, even Sayuri has vocalized; she does not think of the repercussions only acts. Hatsuko was not able to foster a sense of stability for Sayuri who is someone that needs to feel safe. Though she sought to free her from constraints by gifting the young girl Tsukuyomi's mirror, she did curse her, while her intentions were noble they were still cruel as she pushed her onto a path of hardship. This is also why Sayuri is one of very few Kobayashi women to be considered a wayward daughter, she is a stray which is unheard of, even a wildcard which places the blame on Hatsuko. They both love one another like mother && daughter, but, there is a varying degree of hurt that stems from culture && tradition.
In one ending for Sayuri's story; she does become the head of the Kobayashi Clan, leading them into an age underneath the wisdom of the moon, she is regaled with high honor for her unity && binding aspect. Then, one can even attest both women act out in their own grief as one lost the person she loved deeply while the other was forbidden from owning her heart. While Hatsuko is viewed negatively within Kyoto, her redeeming aspect is that she truly loves Sayuri, thus her nickname 'usagi' for how small the girl was. She expects no one, not even her daughter to understand her, in her heart she believed that granting access to Tsukuyomi was the only way to stop an endless cycle of suffering.
Rewatched Hexley Hall (episode) and wow I did not remember the extent to which Cedric and Wormwood act like some married/divorced couple, they are so dramatic help them
My Wormwood apologism commences today
“I’m perfect.” Yes he is.
Also his facial expressions are fabulous
“You’re perfect for each other.” Yeah right, Sofia. They’re literally gonna break up in the next season, and all the worse for the fandom’s collective heart (or at least those who care about these two)
Cedric and Wormwood at Hexley Hall - Bullying (+Greylock's help)
I wish I could write this as an one-shot but I'm not feeling like it. Feel free to do it though. Just send me so that I can read it too hehehe
Tw: bullying
Imagine Cedric as a child walking through Hexley Hall with his new familiar, Wormwood (a baby crow, on top of his head or his shoulder simply because he can't fly yet- while Cedric is reading or even studying during the day to day activities, minding his own business with his new crow) after a spell class, where they were studying self-defence spells (foreshadowing) and Cedric still needed a little bit more of practice after the class, as he couldn't do it during the time again.
When a group of bullies finds them and try to (clearly) bully them, or better saying, Cedric. They push him to the floor, say bad stuff about him being a bungler, being useless, good for nothing, destroying his sister's hair, being the worst future royal sorcerer that Enchancia has ever had and saying he must be an embarassment for his parents, which hurts him deeply, trying to answer them by saying "That's not true!", "What I did to my sister was an accident!", "I AM a good sorcerer!" and "I will be a great sorcerer in the future, I just need some practice!" but no one there even cares about him or his feelings, just making fun of each one of his lines.
Cedric tries to protect himself and Wormwood from these bullies, maybe they got Wormwood into their hands and threatened to do something to him, harassing both of them. Cedric tries to use his wand, but he's too nervous and he's still studying the self-defense spell, so he can't do it, and they grab his wand too. Maybe they got his books and supplies to destroy them or read what he was reading, making fun of his notes, tearing them, burning them with a fire spell while Cedric can't do anything about it. When suddently the bullies are hit by an attacking spell, looking behind to see the future royal sorcerer from the Rudistanistan kingdom, Greylock.
Greylock say some things to them, like "what do you think you are doing with my friend Kendrick? Didn't you hear that he told you to go away? Leave him alone!", or "Don't you have anything better to do, you cowards?" or in his sarcastic and unbothered personality saying "Bedkick! There you are, I've been looking for you in the whole school! Oh, hello to you too! Am I interrupting something?", or "I know you're all too busy now, but can I ask you to excuse my friend Kevik for a moment? We have potions to study! Ah, thank you, thank you, I'll return him to you as soon as we finish this" while grabbing Cedric's hands and getting him out of the floor, and his bullies sending him a dead look, Cedric swallowing, the tension still lingering in the air.
Greylock got the little Wormwood out of their grabbing hand "Now return this boy for now- lemme just- ugh- you're really strong aren't you? haha, I got it, thank you my friends, see you tomorrow class" and Wormwood giving a uncomfortable "caw" during the impact of getting out of their hand. Greylock immediately returned Wormwood to Cedric's cupped palms, dying out of worry for his little bird, with a saddened/worried expression, checking if he's alright or if he broke a bone, opening his wings with his fingers while Wormwood caws out of stress/because he's beeing too touched and he doesn't like it. Cedric holds him close to his face saying "I'm so glad that you're okay, Wormy" as they are already far from the bullies, walking away now.
Greylock advises him to stop walking so distracted, practicing spells in the corridors, because they can get him again and Greylock won't be there to help. Greylock offers his help to learn the self defense spell, maybe later in their dorms or in the library, maybe at tomorrow's class.
💀 i know he said he likes to alter stuff but like.... Babe. This is WAY too much. It is kinda make sense tho cuz all of the stuff in Devildom is kinda funky... And like, we as human probably didnt know shit of what and not to use.
back in your inbox again sorry lovely but 🖊🖊🖊 + illyria PEAS i rlly love her name 👁
HII AJ DEAR you are always more than welcome to pop into my inbox <3 WAHH ty ty her story, name and concept and design and everything of her means the world to mee!!!! ty ty for the ask!
SEND ME A 🖊 + I'LL GUSH ABOUT MY OCS
🖊 - oh the daughter of destiny my dear girl. her blood can be traced back to the time of the great empire of the dawn, as she is the descendant of the bloodstone emperor. the one who in belief was the bringer of the long night. so not absolutely not unas mother (and iovannas mother had foretold of her as well hehe <3) had seen of the birth of the child of prophecy, the eye of blood and the dragon of death, alluding to of course her heterochromia with one eye being a scarlet red matching her dragon ahzidal’s. And ahzidal having a dragons breath that was not of fire.... but a death miasma hence one of his names being the soulsiphon? her birth marked the summoning of the long winter, the death of the dragons.. and her and her descendants bearing the eye of blood will bring either salvation or ruin when the long night arrives.
🖊 - her mother iseul was the descendant of a scarlet emperor of the golden empire, who in the time of the valyrian freehold married a woman of an unknown house (that gives me IDEAS hehe <3 more ocs <3) and this is likely where illy had the natural inclination to be a dragonrider. her mom thwarted court life as long as possible taking to the seas under an assumed identity, which is where she would meet valarr. in seeing a prophecy, the same una and iovannas mothers foresaw, but with a sense it would be him to be the harbringer the father of this daughter of destiny. he uh..... annulled his marriage and left his wife and three children with a fourth on the way to fulfill the prophetic vision. for power or for reverence of prophecy or both who can say. after illy was born on lys, iseul sailed on her ship to vilemyr to the tower of myrwatch. the isle and seat of house ilmestys to hold a wedding for them (they had a wedding in lys but wished for one in westeros as well). UNFOORTUNATELY and much so, assassins attack the ship and she is fatally wounded. the ship is stranded outside of asshai by the shadow, and with her last breath she leaves the girl by the shore. illyria is found by nurellia and keeps a watchful eye on the girl until her mothers sworn protector, irus of norvos, finds the girl as this was her mothers dying wish. illy from there to age four would reside by the shadow. and strangely enough, not a soul bothered the girl! she would be found by irus at the side of her dragon ahzidal who would keep a watchful eye when the girl ventured into the corpse city. and that is how illy's origins began!
🖊 - following her harrowing-ish childhood, she was brought to vilemyr where she would be raised by irus and his wife (and valarr's older sister) vergelle. valarr was not to be revealed as the illy's dad for reasons reserved to be known by valarr alone ig nsakjns. and she was also brought to kings landing when vergelle was requested to teach the princess helaena how to understand dragon dreams (as she and her niece urgelle are both dragon dreamers!). she was childhood friends with aemond! illyria would leave westeros again at age six on the back of ahzidal. it is presumed that she sought out the three eyed raven if there was a three eyed raven that did exist in this time. when she returned to westeros in 129 ac she expected aemond to not remember her at all, and was surprised to learn he never did and in fact asked irus of her all the time when he and vergelle visited. they have been inseparable since. blah blah red string of fate blah blah twin flames and setting the world on fire for each other etc etc <3
Sorcerer, a captivating pinball machine launched by Williams Electronics in 1985, stands as a testament to the enchanting allure of classic arcade gaming. Crafted by the renowned designer Mark Ritchie, it transports players into a mystical realm where magic reigns supreme. The game challenges participants to master the arcane as sorcerers, navigating through a series of spellbinding challenges and missions.
With its primary goal of conquering multiball challenges and achieving high scores through spell casting and strategic play, this table encapsulates the thrilling essence of a magical quest in pinball form.
Distinguished by its enthralling gameplay mechanics, mesmerizing art, and atmospheric sound design, Sorcerer effectively conjures the mystical experience of wielding magic. The playfield, a canvas of vibrant artwork, is replete with targets, ramps, and features that evoke the mystical elements of sorcery, immersing players in an enchanting adventure.
Transitioning beyond the confines of physical arcades, the Williams pinball also found a new life in digital realms, becoming a celebrated feature in pinball simulation games. This digital adaptation has allowed a wider audience to experience its magic, accurately capturing the machine's physical characteristics and gameplay intricacies.
For many, this virtual incarnation serves as a bridge to the golden age of pinball, while for others, it provides an introductory passage into the world of arcade magic.
My affection for Sorcerer runs deep, both in its original arcade manifestation and its digital form. As a physical machine, it's lauded for its compelling narrative, engaging gameplay, and the imaginative escape it provides.
In the digital domain, I admire it for the faithful preservation of its core gameplay and magical essence, ensuring its legacy among enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
its successful transition to digital platforms underscores the enduring charm of well-crafted pinball machines and their capacity to enchant and entertain across generations.
On a more personal and competitive note, I felt I had a bit of a vendetta with this table. Playing the Wii version, despite delivering a good performance and virtually showcasing all that Sorcerer had to display, I fell short of clinching the top score.
This experience lingered with me, creating a sense of unfinished business. Now, I feel a sense of completion, as if a circle has been closed. After getting about 10 extra balls at one point, the game started to feel less exciting, and honestly I lost some of my focus.
