Max Hightower, a senior at Sherman High School in North Texas, always loved theater. He sang in his school’s chorus and was in school plays but had never landed a speaking part.

Then, two weeks ago, he was cast as Ali Hakim, a leading role in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “Oklahoma,” after another student was cut from the roster.

“It was just overwhelming,” the 17-year-old told HuffPost. “I was so excited. I ran and told all my friends.”

But that joy was short-lived. Max was called into the principal’s office on Friday, where he says he was told about a “new policy” stating that students could only be cast in roles that aligned with the sex they were assigned at birth.

Max, a transgender boy, would no longer be able to play the male part of Hakim. Local outlet KXII first reported that Max had been removed from his role.

When Max left the principal’s office, he saw a line of other students who had been cast in the musical and were waiting to get the same disappointing news.

“We just had this giant cry sesh outside of the choir room,” Max said.

Sherman High students and parents who spoke to HuffPost said that about a dozen students ― transgender, nonbinary and cisgender alike ― were cut from the show because their sex assigned at birth did not match the sex or gender presentation of the roles in which they were cast. Three parents said their cisgender daughters who had been cast in male roles or wore masculine clothing for their roles were cut from the show due to the school’s new rules.

Meghan Cone, the communications director for the Sherman Independent School District, told HuffPost that there isn’t a blanket policy on how students will be cast for future performances and that she was “unable to address the number of students impacted.”

“As it relates to this particular production, the sex of the role as identified in the script will be used when casting. Because the nature and subject matter of productions vary, the District is not inclined to apply this criteria to all future productions,” Cone wrote in a statement.

Like most plays, “Oklahoma!” does not note that sex should factor in casting.

The school’s performance of “Oklahoma!” has been postponed until early 2024 because the district learned about “mature adult themes, profane language, and sexual content” in the show, Cone said, adding that the district is working to produce a version that is “appropriate for the high school stage.” The musical revolves around two fiery love triangles against the backdrop of Oklahoma’s journey to statehood, but Sherman families said the school has put on the musical in the past without any issues.

“It’s very clear to us and all the other parents and families that this isn’t an issue about ‘Oklahoma!’ itself or the content of the show,” Kayla Brooks, who said her daughter lost her part, told HuffPost. Her daughter had been cast as a male ensemble character in August.

“This is an issue about a trans kid who got cast as one of the lead roles,” Brooks said.

CJ Price, a senior at Sherman High who was also removed from her part, said that she and some of her cisgender female cast mates were told they could no longer participate because they preferred to dress as cowboys instead of wearing dresses.

Students said they were told that they would be recast in new roles that align with the school’s casting rules.

Cone said she did not know why some cisgender female students were cut for playing male roles or wearing typically masculine clothing but that the “sex of the role as identified in the script” would be used when recasting. “No recasting has occurred at this time,” she said.

Max’s dad, Phillip Hightower, said the school had been fairly supportive of his son’s transition — Max had, for example, worn slacks and a black tie when performing in concerts — and that he was “so taken aback” when he received a separate call from the principal informing him of the school’s decision to remove his son from the role.

Some parents told HuffPost that they suspect a community member complained to the school district after Max was cast as a lead, and they said they plan to raise the issue at the school board meeting next week.

“I am really disappointed that the school district didn’t take the opportunity to educate the concerned person about gender-blind casting and the history of theater,” said Betty Price, CJ’s mom. “But instead of doing that, they had a knee-jerk reaction and decided to make a policy change that has now forever ruined the history of theater at Sherman High School.”

Christina Shelton, the mother of an another transgender student, said she’s waiting to find out if a production her child is involved with will be similarly affected. Shelton’s child is in the school’s University Interscholastic League theater program, a statewide organization that brings schools together in competition.

“Is this politically motivated? Is this religiously motivated? What are you supposed to tell your kids?” Shelton told HuffPost. “It’s just not a friendly place for LGBTQ students.”

Phillip Hightower said he has been closely following how far-right forces have taken over a school district in Grapevine, just an hour south of Sherman, over the last year — including accusing a top-rated queer teacher of “grooming” students.

“That is the atmosphere we’re living in. I feel like the same thing could happen here,” he said, noting that he thinks his district has adopted more extreme and explicitly Christian policies recently.

Texas’ Republican-controlled legislature has introduced more than 140 anti-LGBTQ+ bills this year, according to Johnathan Gooch, the communications director at Equality Texas. Seven such bills have passed, he said, and have caused significant harm to trans and queer kids, including restricting access to gender-affirming care.

“I think it’s important to state blatantly it is illegal to discriminate against anyone based on their sexual orientation or gender identity under federal civil rights law, specifically Title IX,” Gooch told HuffPost.

Title IX is a civil rights law that bars sex-based discrimination, which includes protections for transgender students in any school or educational program that receives federal funding.

“It’s a difficult time to be queer in Texas, and schools need to be safe havens for these kids. It’s important that our schools affirm young trans kids, support them, encourage them in the arts and in their school work,” Gooch said. “These policies are just piling on, creating toxic climates that only further harm young people in the state.”

I would like some Charlie facts.

Also facts about souls. You made Husk trans; would that mean he has a male soul in a female body, so when he dies, instead of it being female, it should male. He wouldn't have the biological problems of being tansgender. So Husk should need Birth Control pills... or have periods, right?

Let's answer that second part first.

How I have it in my rewrite how you apper in hell depends on two things:

1. Who you are physically and

2. Who you are as a person. Like your character.

Let's use Mimzy as a example. Mimzy is a siren. That's why she has her bird legs. The reason she's a siren is because she is a amazing singer and she lures men into her before she robs them. Let's say that Mimzy was transgender when she was alive. If Mimzy would have gotten top surgery then she would have appeared in hell with that top surgery.

The reason husk still has to deal with periods and things along those lines despite being a boy is because he never had surgery when he was alive. (He couldn't afford it.)

Your soul only has to do with your character. Like if you were a bad person. Your soul can effect your appearance but it's mostly litteraly what you looked like.

Now into Charlie facts!!

Charlie actually has some pretty bad anger issues when people don't do what she wants. Considering Charlie is a litteraly puppet and how she was raised, Charlie has the mentality that she just has to make people do what she wants and things will go smoothly. The others don't agree with this.

Charlie actually has no idea what people look like. Yeah she's seen photos but fashion sense, time period, the photo quality always changes.

Charlie litteraly doesn't have a heart. Again, she is a puppet.

Charlie can be pretty bossy to people. Expectially people she know won't fight her on it.

Charlie is bisexual with a preference towards woman.

Charlie resents most sinners she comes across. She doesn't understand why they would waste their one change to go to heaven. She doesn't really understand that people have diffrent serverities of crimes and or were forced into a life of crime because that's how they were raised (Angel).

Charlie headbutts people to show affection because she's a goat.

Charlie can take off her limbs and rearrange them. She thinks it's fun! Others don't.

Charlie likes milkshakes. Like alot.

Charlie can spit fire.

While Charlie doesn't LIKE killing sinners, she will if she's pushed far enough.

Charlie tries to have a relationship with Lucifer but he's pretty cold and distant. This leads to Charlie being cold and distant right back. It's a never ending cycle.

Charlie decently shows double standards.

Charlie crys alot. She's very emotional.

Charlie doesn't have beauty standards. She likes how she looks and if you don't then you can get bent.

Charlie despite all her flaws is a very loving girlfriend. Maybe too loving sometimes.

Glad someone finally asked about Charlie. I've been waiting on it.

thinking abt this due to a bunch of other media i've consumed recently but i have a special place in my heart for the fictional characters in sort of more fantasy/sci-fi settings with a separation between their queer identity and their struggles that aren't necessarily bc of that identity itself but manifest through allegory instead. i'm thinking of gwen stacy in atsv who is absolutely a trans girl that was accepted by her dad when she came out, but also her storyline about "coming out" as spider-woman/how people can only see half of who she is, is the most transgender thing about her. i'm thinking of aziraphale and crowley who are in-universe genderless/sexless bc all angels and demons are but the thing that makes their narrative truly queer is how they live in fear of their love being found out by the oppressive systems they live under (+ how they react to it in different ways). the doctor; someone who sure is technically genderfluid because they're a being can change gender with each regeneration but also their transness (and bi/gay/aspec coding) stems from how they interact with their companions and their at-all-times-complicated relationship to their identity. like there's lots of value in queer characters whose struggles are textually connected to their queer identities and face homophobia/transphobia/aphobia head-on but i have a lot of love for stories that build worlds where queerness isn't as big a deal and is accepted by the people in them, but the struggles the characters face are still a thinly-veiled metaphor for queer reality. makes them just as complex and identifiable through that, and shows that the writer(s) have a higher level of understanding of the identities they're portraying than just an outsider pov

when you dislike the MC of a good series AKA Who Will Die in The Wicked Powers

damn, being petty enough to flip off the MC x canon ship in my (favorite) fandom is really kicking me in the ass--

yeah, basically I can't touch half the TSC stuff on Tumblr bc I'm so anti-Clace...(meanwhile I love literally every other character that's been in every Shadowhunter series)...& they're probably gonna have a wedding + kids in the next books (assuming Jace isn't killed)...

The Wicked Powers is most definitely gonna have the Princes of Hell as the main villains. I feel like Luke, Gwyn, or Izzy will die, since the younger Shadowhunters are supposed to be central & well...look at the couples who will be alive/extant by TWP:

Jace already died once. Clary had dreams about dying, but those were shown to be visions of Thule. Based on canon events, I think they're Clare's favorite ship. SAFE.

Magnus almost gave himself to Asmodeus in CoHF. Alec almost-ish died saving Magnus in The Eldest Curses. Also, Alec almost died thanks to that poison demon in TMI (the one Magnus saved him from). Malec might end up forced to rule some region of Hell (reason unknown but I think it'll have to do with them beating/destroying Asmodeus). I feel like past events foreshadow Magnus dealing with the unfortunate sides of being a warlock. But he won't die--the "killing your gays" trope might actually save he & Alec.

Simon nearly died when the vampires attacked him (when he was a mundane), then when Valentine bled him pre-Daylighter (then Jace's blood saved him). He "sacrificed" himself to Asmodeus CoHF, in the form of his vampire immortality + memories (which he basically got back later on). Izzy...she's been through a lot psychologically & about as much as I think most Shadowhunters would physically. She lost Max & her dad. But she's a badass (I'm not faulting her for it, either). So I don't think she's safe.

Julian & Emma both lost their parents in horrible ways. Their whole series was about the parabatai curse (which, to me, was conveniently not mentioned in chronologically earlier series...probably because it wasn't invented til TDA was written, lol). They're kinda written to be the leaders of Livvy's Watch. SAFE.

Kit has his whole faerie power reveal shit to explore & he + Ty are some of the major characters in TWP. I'm pretty sure they'll spend the series healing their relationship. SAFE.

Kieran/Cristina/Mark will survive because 1) Kieran as the Unseelie King is an important Shadowhunter ally, 2) they're poly rep in YA, which is rare, and 3) killing one of them off would leave the others to mourn in such a weird way. SAFE.

I love Dru Blackthorn. She's one of the main of TWP, so I think she'll survive, plus tbh I don't think any more Blackthorns will be killed. Ash will probably end up as the Seelie King or as Clace's adopted son, to "redeem" Sebastian in a narrative sense. Jaime's sort of a main for TWP as one of Dru's love interests. SAFE.

Diana & Gwyn aren't main characters (though I like their romance). Diana also is the ONLY transgender person in all the books (unless I missed something). I don't think she'll be killed off. Gwyn might be just because I see the Wild Hunt as an important group in TWP & he might die protecting Diana (narratively, this shows strengthened faerie-Shadowhunter relations, despite the Wild Hunt being unaffiliated with either Court).

Luke & Jocelyn deserve to be endgame, but I could see Luke being killed off as one of those "MC's loved one is killed so the MC goes & avenges them" type of things. I love Luke & Jocelyn as characters, though.

Tessa & Jem deserve to be endgame, arguably, more than any couple. They were the mains in their series, then Jem survived but was sort-of-"lost" when he became a Silent Brother. Then he miraculously became a (mortal) Shadowhunter again when he was burned by heavenly fire, he just left the Clave behind to hang with Tessa (good choice!). Tessa has a baby & she's gonna suffer enough when she outlives Jem. SAFE?

Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog - Sonically Ever After (Screenshots & Review)

And here we have what was the show's final episode, even though it originally aired out of order. It's got some unique features and also stands out quite strongly in my childhood memories of the show. That's because in the episode Tails briefly gets "turned into a girl" and this is one of my earliest memories of realizing I was trans without knowing how to articulate what I was feeling. As a kid, my friends and I would often make believe we were Sonic characters, and I was always the role of Tails (that's the reason my fursona is a fox, in fact!). I remember seeing this episode as a kid made me feel "weird and upset", and it would be quite along time for me to realize that this was because I'd already been taught to hate myself for being trans, sadly. Transgender kids need love and support, and creeps like ron desantis needs to fuck all the way off to whatever sewer they crawled out of.

Anyway, enough about childhood trauma - let's dig into this weird and wacky Fairy Tale themed episode!

The episode starts with Robotnik and his badniks chasing Sonic and Tails into a park. As they clash and occasionally make racist remarks like "no robots allowed in the park!", an elderly lady is reading fairy tales to some kids nearby (She's been seen in other episodes too, and apparently her name is Miss Saccharine). Among them are some recognizable faces such as the Sloth kids from "slow Going" and that elephant kid with freaky hands who is friends with Robotnik Jr.

Robotnik tells Scratch and Grounder to use a device they brought along that would help them teleport away for a quick escape. Somehow, the two badniks mess up in a way that instead teleports Robotnik, Sonic and Tails right into Miss Saccharine's fairy tale book, instead!

Now in the story book world, Sonic and Tails are dressed in costumes and the backgrounds are noticeably much more detailed. This is one of this episode's unique features - it foreshadows the visual improvement that would occur in the Sonic SatAm cartoon in terms of background art. It's also rather fitting that I just reviewed the pilot too, because some of this episode shows just how nice the background art can be in the actual series! The outfits that Sonic and Tails are wearing are based on a story called "Hansel and Nettle", as it seems every fairy tale in Mobius has a naming parody of ones in our world. After exploring a forest and finding a house with chili dogs glued to the outside walls, Tails finally pulls up his dress and acknowledges that "he's a girl!" - and the fact that he just looked at his own crotch seems to indicate he is incorrectly referring to his sex, rather than gender. Tails looks cute in the dress, but I have to wonder who decided they needed to draw boobs on a little 4 year old kid....*gives DiC the side eye* Robotnik emerges from the hut, and seems to be in the same situation as Tails in which his sex was at-least temporarily changed? He is dressed as a stereotypical witch, because old fairy tales just love their bigoted depictions of religious minorities.

Robotnik invites Sonic & Tails inside only to then reveal his identity and announce that the wants to eat them! The two manage to escape and we go back to seeing what's going on back in the regular Mobius world - Grounder is rather adorably enjoying the story time, while Scratch is trying to convince him to come help fix the machine so they can get Robotnik out of the book world.

Grounder would rather listen to fairy tale stories than rescue his shitty dad.

Meanwhile, back inside said book world, Sonic and Tails have apparently now taken shelter living at the home of "Snow Height and the Seven Squatty Guys" (with Sonic and Tails being two of the squatty guys). This was one of the funnier fairy tale spoofs for me as I found it cute that Snow was just really tall instead of "conventionally attractive" - although that is somewhat marred by the fact that she also seems to be mostly treated as an "ugly woman" joke. Robotnik shows up, trying to sell them chili dogs, and Tails stupidly just grabs and eats one, which poisons him. The only cure is a kiss from Snow Height, who is weirded out by the idea of kissing an anthropomorphic fox child. Sonic promises to introduce her to prince charming if she does so, so she eventually caves and smooches Tails. Does this mean she has magic healing spit like Steven Universe?

These backgrounds are lovely!

Not accepting defeat, Robotnik then uses some sort of wind turbine to attack the household, almost blowing everyone away. Sonic tells Snow that Robotnik is her prince charming, and she somehow believes him even though she just saw him poison a child and attack her and all her friends! She fights the wind current and goes to smooch and hug on Robotnik.

Looks like Snow Height was busy decorating for pride month!

Sonic and Tails manage to escape the house, and pass by Cinderella and her Fairy Godfather, who is a parody of the guy from The Godfather movies. This was another one of the funnier gags in this episode, in my opinion. :) Cinderella and the fairy Godfather both seem like nice folks, but sadly Robotnik runs by and steals Godfathers magic wand, then starts using it to torment Sonic and Tails. Snow Height catches up with the group and Robotnik turns her into a toad, and then threatens to turn Sonic and into a toad and fly as well...

I’ve never seen The Godfather, but cultural osmosis still tells me that Robotnik may regret stealing from him!

As this is happening, Scratch and Grounder finally think they've fixed the portal machine and use it again, but it doesn't go entirely as planned. Instead of extracting just Robotnik, they extract him as well as Sonic and Tails and a whole bunch of other fairy tale characters. Robotnik has a few new minions he brought with him, a dragon and a giant beatnik. Robotnik takes his magic wand and starts running rampant around Mobius, causing lots of trouble.

Sonic brainstorms on what to do to stop him as well as help the fairy tale folks who were pulled into his world. Eventually, Sonic dresses as Rapunzel in a tower in the city, getting Robotnik's attention by offering him lots of gold. Once Robotnik scales the tower, Sonic lifts up Snow so she can kiss Robotnik, which turns her human again. Robotnik falls out of the tower in surprise, and announces "I kissed a toad!". Grounder mentions that he kissed a toad once, and that "it was kind of nice. I think he liked me". Thus, we now know that Grounder is cool with kissing dudes, yay!

Sonic makes his way back to the park, where Robotnik follows him with the dragon. Sonic realizes that the dragon has a thorn in his foot and pulls it out, and the dragon is very grateful, turning out to only be hostile because he was in pain.

Sonic eventually gets the idea to go to the airport with Tails, and use a plane to write "Happily ever after" in the sky. This seems to interact with magic properties of the fairy tale book, allowing Robotnik's stolen magic wand and all the fairy tail characters to get pulled back into their own world again.

As the last episode ends, Sonic addresses the audience. "Every story must end. Even this one. But it's no fairy tale to say, 'see ya soon for more Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog!'"

In the Sonic Says segment, Sonic teaches Tails about how cool libraries are. Good message, no notes - except that it's sad that books are under attack so much in the USA right now...

This episode is quite a send off for the series! It has some very nice background art, and some cute and funny gags. Unfortunately, some of the fairy tales being referenced have some really unhealthy messages which the episode never addresses, so that marrs things a bit. Overall, though, it is still a cute ending for a very fun and lovable slapstick cartoon.

the cast of characters is well-rounded, well-developed, and diverse; there’s a blorbo for everyone there! featuring: thomas (Has Autism Swag), dario (asshole with a heart of gold but he’s still an asshole <3), glain (Has Transgender Swag), khalila (the original girlboss), morgan (also a bad bitch), scholar wolfe (he's a dad! he's a bastard (both literally and figuratively)!), and captain santi (holder of wolfe’s self-destruction leash). also, if the rest of that pitch wasn’t enough, please consider simply the vibes of: automaton lions! dope worldbuilding! a cool magic system! commentary about censorship and power and accessibility! banger quotes like “if a ghost can speak of love, then know i adore you still”! gay people! canonical found family! angst!

Sherry was able to twist her words to be able to get surgeries from the government for free, making excuses that missions would be hard if she didn't have the right kind of body

Sheva Alomar

Bisexual / Female

Sheva also has a bisexual preference, she prefers women over men

Not to say there's only one guy keeping her bi but she's threatened past boyfriends with it, makes her laugh every time

She definitely had a crush on both Chris and Jill in the beginning but it calmed down when she had to actually work with them (mainly Chris)

Steve Burnside

I think we can all agree that there was definitely something queer with Steve in all versions of him

OC infodump: Forest

So Forest is an OC I created fairly recently; I first came up with him back in April 2020.

He had only a few specific characteristics at that point(green hair & freckles, trans & gender non-conforming) and those stayed consistent as I ended up developing him more as the years went by.

Around 2021, I made an AU of with him & other OCs, and that gave me the chance to flesh him out a bit more.

I made him Black & Iranian(his dad is Afro-Latino & his mom is Iranian), I gave him more curlier hair & let his roots show a bit, and I expanded more on his interpersonal traits to try & expand his backstory a bit.

Short backstory summary: he was someone who had struggled with his identity growing up & had a hard time making friends(in part due to undiagnosed autism), so he ended up keeping to himself at times. In 7th grade, he met Liana, who instantly befriended him & she was his first best friend. Over time, his friend group grew & so did his confidence in himself. During high school, he started to dress in a more alternative/punk-ish fashion, since he didn't feel comfortable wearing "typical" feminine clothes; this was also when he started dying his hair.

After high school & entering college, he realized a couple things about himself:

He's transgender(once he became aware of that, he felt a bit more comfortable dressing femininely, now that he understands the distinction between gender identity & gender presentation)

He's demisexual; he's had a few FWBs in college, but only with people he's felt comfortable with & close to(prior to this, he thought he was just bisexual, but biromantic is more fitting for him now)

He's in love with Liana; this one was a bit difficult to accept cause some of his insecurities about relationships & himself made him feel unsure about taking his relationship with her to that level. Eventually he does tell her how he feels....about a year or two after graduating college.

Forest has become a very precious OC for me since I first made him; I got to explore some of my thoughts & feelings on sexuality, gender identity & presentation through him.

I also feel more confident with his design over the years, I like how I've given him some of my own personal traits & have that reflected within him. And I've made a bunch of AUs with him to for fun & I've got so many already!

He's been a big creative inspiration for me for my art & writing, and I'm really glad this character I made on a whim became very important to my craft & my life!!

I hope to create more stuff with him soon!!

it's come to my attention that not a lot of people know who the guy in my profile pic is and so i have made an effortpost about my favorite late 2000s adult animation sidekick character ever, Trans Icon Randall Skeffington from Ugly Americans:

Ugly Americans is a show about cryptids/monsters/etc living and adjusting to life in NYC and that doesn't matter WE'RE HERE TO TALK ABOUT RANDALL

Randall is a canonically bisexual zombie who's the main character, Mark's, roommate. He's also super fucking trans guy coded and I genuinely don't know if they did this on purpose or not but holy shit this speaks to me on another level.

He turned zombie for this chick he liked who decided she didn't like him that much, and came to terms with just being a zombie as an identity he chose for himself, and he sticks by it a lot. He's also got two (two?!?!?) full fucking episodes about losing his dick as it physically falls off his body and how he's pretty much okay with that but his dick isn't, and he learns to respect it and everything. And there's constantly background gags of Randall getting dick upgrades at the mechanic like he's modular b/c zombie dick

oh yeah and there's this:

Randall's bottom half gets ripped off for like the third time in the series and Mark has to carry him around in a garbage bag and Randall ends up rabbitholing onto a forum for transgender mummies and he's like ">:( it's no use they're just all tips on moisture retention" said with zero 2000s era irony for the trans thing or anything just genuine disappointment that this trans mummy forum has no advice for how to deal with his missing bottom half and is just dusty, like literally. like the last half of the sentence was the punchline, not the first half

okay more fun randall facts: he's a huge fucking slut and a massive whore (canon). he has big Karl from Workaholics energy but if Karl was like, disillusioned by the very fabric of life. he's kind of a creepoid in that 2000s way but he's also perfect and i love him so everybody shut the fuck up. there's a running gag that he definitely probably wants to fuck Mark and in the episode where Mark and Randall's ex Krystal (the girl he went zombie for) swap bodies, Mark's like "what am I supposed to do now" and Randall's like "well you can make one of my longtime dreams come true"

anyway i love this gay gay (canonically bisexual) zombie man and i went back and watched season 1 again and he's honestly treated with a lot more queer/trans coding and whatnot than I remember (and also I didn't remember that they just fucking made him bisexual and he says so in season 1 episode 3 so i'm just a big idiot) and I thought I was reinterpreting a bunch of 2000s era gay jokes but nope, randall skeffington trans icon. spends 1/3rd of his time dickless or with no bottom half and inspires us all. has 200000 STDs and a dream.

Also there's this fucking episode where Randall who's from New Jersey goes back to his home town and has to deal with his internlized homophobia (excuse me ZOMBIEPHOBIA) re: small town gays vs big city gays and it's just really fucking real idk idk idk. And you think it's gonna be straight people doing a hamfisted metaphor but at the end of the episode his dad does this:

okay, Marauders fan

Mm nope. Spider-Man fan. Andrew Garfield fan. Supernatural (not the show, the creatures) AU fan. I love werewolves, vampires, witches, ghosts, horror tragic drama romancey shit. I used to love Harry Potter when I was a kid/teenager (I’m in my 30s now) but never got into the fanfic fandom side. I had no idea the Marauders were even a thing besides being Harry’s dad in the books until I joined the AG Spidey fandom two years ago and saw he was a fan cast fav. Think I’ve read exactly one Remus Lupin fanfic since resparking my love for Spidey and it didn’t do anything for me because my hyperfixation is with tasm Peter Parker and not Lupin. I love writing for characters Andrew has actually played with movies I can actually watch for inspiration and not things a bunch of strangers decided to use his face for.

So, no. Not a marauders fan. Not a Harry Potter fan. Loved it when I was kid but it no longer does anything for me apart from make me pissed off and angry. I’m going to state this right now to make sure we are very clear on this subject: I fucking hate JKR. She is a horrific disgusting woman. I do not support her or her vile beliefs. I love and actively support the transgender community and I always will.

Me writing a werewolf story that is using PETER PARKER as the au and using SPIDERMAN characters and SPIDERMAN lore throughout does not equate to me writing a fucking Harry Potter story and I am honestly insulted for being told otherwise. Nothing in my story has the slightest god damn thing to do with or relates to HP and is full of Spider-Man characters and Peter Parker lore and my own take on a werewolf origin story with my own created world around it. Had you actually read it and not just glanced at the picture and assumed that anything Andrew Garfield next to a werewolf must mean Harry Potter fan than maybe you would see otherwise. If it was literally any other actors face there, in any other fandom doing a werewolf au, you would not give a shit. Andrew Garfield was not even in Harry Potter. He has literally nothing to do it. He was in Spider-Man and he did play Peter Parker who is the exact person in writing an au for.

I have wrote multiple aus in the Peter Parker fandom. Last year I wrote a Peter vampire au. Does that mean I’m out to suck Stephanie Meyer or Anne Rices dicks? No. I wrote a Peter serial killer au. Does that mean I want to suck Ted Bundy’s dick? No. Writing a werewolf au is literally no different. I write AUs. It’s what I like to do. Werewolf is just another typical, very popular au throughout fandoms for me to tick off the list. Try actually looking at someone’s work before making judgement calls based off AGs face next to wolf.

Don’t ever call me a Harry Potter fan. It’s 9am and I’m pissed off. Have a good day, dammit!

• I think the next best ship for you would be Alastor! I’m not super confident with this one, but I hope you do enjoy this match nonetheless.

• Alastor would immediately break down those awkward walls you built up, making conversation with your pretty quickly, almost instantly after you meet. He kind of is a little pushy too, if he needs something from you, whatever that might be. He’s used to awkwardness though, so please don’t feel ashamed.

• I like to think it’s impossible for Alastor to be absolutely quiet. There’s always radio noises being played, and his voice can get only get to a pitch where it’s literally just him using an inside voice. I don’t think he can whisper lmao.

• That being said, you guys are relatively loud. The both of you can embrace it together! Anyone who speaks on it will surely have a talk with Alastor.
