GQ Global Creativity Awards 2024: Introducing Our Sophomore Class of Visionary Honorees
Our second-annual gala celebrating “Big Ideas for a Better World” kicks off on April 11 in New York City.
The GQ Global Creativity Awards are back! Our second-annual gala celebrating the industry-spanning innovators who are setting the tone for an increasingly multidisciplinary, creativity-minded world will take place on April 11 in New York.
As GQ's global editorial director Will Welch explained last year, the very notion of creativity has morphed from being a mercurial quality possessed by some, into the "most desirable cultural currency of our times." In turn, the GCAs were conceived to answer a question, as Welch put it: "In a world where everybody wants to be creative, who are the real-deal global icons setting the bar?"
This year, our 2024 Global Creativity Awards honorees are:
Lewis Hamilton, F1-transcending powerhouse.
Hunter Schafer, Hollywood star and activist.
Danny McBride, renaissance funnyman.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, legendary rock gods turned Oscar-winning composers.
And rounding out GQ's GCAs Class of 2024 are the American multimedia artist Lauren Halsey, Marni's surrealistic creative director Francesco Risso, and ground-shaking Afrobeats innovator Asake.
All of the honorees will join us for our big bash on April 11, where the evening's MC will be none other than Emmy-winning comedy veteran JB Smoove, hot on the heels of Curb Your Enthusiasm's swan-song season.
As with our inaugural GCAs gala last spring, where we honored Apple CEO Tim Cook, Hollywood multi-hyphenate Donald Glover, global breakout star Hoyeon, and fashion world-builder Yohji Yamamoto, this year's event is a celebration of "Big Ideas for a Better World." Either way, it's sure to be a night full of great speeches, killer style, and other major surprises. Stay tuned here for more details.
‘Good Times’ Sets Ranada Shepard As Showrunner; JB Smoove, Yvette Nicole Brown & Jay Pharoah To Star In Netflix’s Animated Reboot
Conclusion? OBNOXIOUS, ARROGANT, IGNORANT
Black people are increasingly over the Blackface, Anti bullshit, coming out of companies like Netflix and HULU and they are also increasingly OVER the Black actors and actresses, stepping up to do minstrel roles.
BE WARNED... HOLLYWOOD IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS STARTED A WAR AGAINST ACTORS. YOU WANT TO SELL OUT? GO AHEAD. BUT DON'T ACT SHOCKED WHEM THE PUBLIC NO LONGER KISSES YOUR ASS FOR IT.

Proof positive that corporations like Microsoft, under the guise of DEI, filled their ranks with activist employees from Leftist, Misandrist and Queer groups. That most of these spoiled shit stirrers are young white women (with a couple of black girls thrown in for some peppery spice) should tell men exactly what they're about: Authoritarianism. They'll do anything to hurt people in general, and the economy, in particular. Meantime, like clockwork, the GOP are blaming the failures of DEI off of the very people who never actually had control of it. Progressives always did, including black boule style race traitors. They are deliberately causing divisions with their Diversity Cosplay.
History of the World Part II is a four-night event premiering on Hulu on March 6, 2023. Like Mel Brooks’ previous film, the series will take place through different periods of history.
History of the World Part II stars Mel Brooks, Ike Barinholtz, Nick Kroll, and Wanda Sykes, with Pamela Adlon, Zazie Beetz, Jack Black, Quinta Brunson, Dove Cameron, Danny Devito, Jay Ellis, Josh Gad, Johnny Knoxville, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogan, Sarah Silverman, J.B. Smoove, Taika Waititi, and many more.
Ok so this cracked article about J. B. Smoove is fun and all, but the list of his pitches for SNL sketches that were never made is incredible, every one of them is absolutely brilliant:

After the notorious failure of Elizabethtown, Cameron Crowe took a few years off and attempted to rebound with a warm-hearted family film, 2011's We Bought A Zoo. The film starred Matt Damon in the very loose true story of a father struggling to raise his two children in the wake of his wife's death, and finds the solution to their problems in a local zoo listed for sale with a few loyal animal wranglers (including contrived love interest Scarlett Johansson) still tied to the property. Though the film became a modest hit, its punchline title and feather-weight tone was not taken seriously by critics or awards bodies in a season filled with other stories filled with children and grief.
This episode, Matt Damon joins Meryl Streep as the only performers in our Ten Timers Club. We also discuss the varying degrees of failure in late stage Crowe films, Crowe’s AARP Movies for Grownups Best Director nomination against heavy hitters, and 2011′s many Oscar contenders featuring children.
Topics also include Diane Warren finally having her Oscar, the fake We Bought A Zoo Twitter account, and Content Creator Kits.
