My new roommate in the pediatric intensive ward is a 14-year-old boy. I don't want this to sound, uh, weird or anything, but he is beautiful. I want to say to his parents, you have a beautiful young boy. He is everything I want to be but never again can. But he is also too small, too slow, too weak, and too dumb. I am bigger, faster, stronger, smarter, better. Even disabled, I can take him. I am here alone. Everything I've been through comes with me.

A journaling catch-up! I finished my October pages just in time for the beginning of the month but I had a bit of a delay because I had to finish putting together a LEGO set (😹😹 pictures later). I had a pretty good reading month in September - audiobook rereads definitely helped - plus September was my first month using the Bookly app. Once @mochibujo posted her October PWM video and put the journaling kit up in her Patreon I HAD to use her adorable ghost cats. They’re so startled and cute 💖 my faves are the cat sticking out it’s tongue and the cat with the PSL to-go cup 😹😻😹 (the washi tapes are from @notebook_therapy Moonlit Spells, Moonlit Blush, and Falling Stars collection and the “ghost garland” sticker came with my @sarahscribblescomics wall calendar). The October journaling kit from @archerandolive finally arrived (it took USPS three extra days to “accept” the package in the UPS handoff 😒). It’s a super-cozy theme with cats and pumpkins and fall colors. And who said the Dutch door could only be used as a cover page? 😜😜 I made a self-care/cozy insert instead and added a few of Hedda’s lazy cats and a girl from the Cottage Core Collection bc they blended so nicely. ~ From my experience with being indecisive for the smallest of things, I’ve come to know that it is the root cause of loop thinking. Often, this could be negative in nature.

But once I decide, once I choose to make a choice, the wave of thoughts subsides, leaving the mind calmer, more still. Choosing to decide, sooner than later, thus, can elevate a lot of worry, inner confusion, and irritation, self-caused by my mind.~✨

I love this first week spread of the year! The colors are adorable and somehow, I am enjoying experimenting with the elements using memopads for some notes yet as I progress, I hope I can find myself a way of consistent design layout and continuously improve it.
