Wash Day

" You should be in bed.” Hawks said leaning against the door.

She was very much not in bed, and found herslelf standing in the bathroom mirror, looking at her reflection. She had to do something about her hair, but she broke one of her arms, and 3 fingers on the other. Sure she go to bed doing absolutley nothing with her hair, but it would become a mess that nothing short of shaving it all off would fix it.

“ I gotta do something to my hair?”

“ Then why aren’t you?” he asked, walking behind her. His hands wrapped around her waist.

“ I fucked up both of my hands.” she snapped. Her arms felt like shit, and she wanted to throw up and sleep. But she wouldn’t throw up beacause she hadn’t eaten all day, and she couldn’t sleep until her hair was braided her hair. And she couldn’t braid her hair because her arm hurt.

Keigo didn’t take it personally, he knew that she was in a whole bunch of pain, and dead on her feet. He kissed the top of her shoulder and hugged her waist. She fund herself crying.

“ I’m sorry... I didn’t mean too... it’s just everything.” she whispered “ I’m overwhelmed and I’m tired and I-”

“ It’s okay, I understand.” he whispered. He stroked her cheeks with his fingers. “I know your arms probabaly feel like shit. Do you want me to help you with your hair, so you can sleep?”

“ Thanks for offering honey, but I don’t think you know how.” she tried to smile, but only cried some more.

“ Yeah I can, I used to help Miriko with hers before she got braids. Now do you want twists or bantu knots?”

He said motioning her to the edge of the bathtub. The woman was too stunned to speak, and frankly even if she wasn’t stunned she still wouldn’t have said anything. She trusted Hawks, and even if she was apprehensive if he said he knew what he was doing, he did.

“ Don’t forget to detangle it.” she said. “ If you don’t then it’ll be hall knotted in the morning.”

“ I know what I’m doing, baby trust me.” he kissed the top of her forehead. “ Now which products do you want me to use?”

“ The one with the pink lid and the yellow one please.” she whispered/

He started to comb trough her hair, and she finally let her body relax. She was still in pain, but she was with her Keigo, who made her feel relaxed and safe. And nobody had ever brushed her hair besides her mom, who stopped doing her hair when she was old enough to do it herself.

“ That’s it, all done.” he whispered when he was done.

Her hair was put into little twists and he even put his favorite bonnet on her, while she was sleeping.

“ I hope it’s okay, I put some oil on your scalp because your roots were dry.” he whispered. “ Now lets get you to bed so you can take your meds, and sleep, yeah?

pro hero!hawks x reader drabble ☁️ ོ

a/n: i just thought this would be cute, hawks getting all upset- I mean- Keigo. 🙄

“You know for someone who’s always out and about, you always seem to make time for me.” You softly smile upon hearing your front door open and then close.

“How’d you know it was me?” He asked, taking off his coat with a tussle.

You paused your tv show before turning around to look at him.

“Can smell the kfc on you from a mile away” you teased as he scoffed in offense. “Woah, I wear the best cologne.”

“You mean axe body spray?” You added, his lips escaping a laugh. “Not to much on me birdie.” His eyes followed yours as you got up from your spot on the couch to be in his embrace, a smile peering through his lips as he sweetly pecked you.

“Mmm..” you hummed in satisfaction. “How was work sweet boy?”

“The same as always.” He replied, holding you in his arms tiredly. You noticed how he tried to hold himself up. You knew how exhausted he was from working so often, and how bad he wanted to collapse into your arms. Still, he always kept that last bit of energy for you. It didn’t matter how much of it he had left, he’d always be strong for you.

“You need to get sleep baby.” You said, pushing the hair out of his face, “nah im fine, I wanna spend some time with you.”

“You can do that in the bedroom.” You added as a smirk grew on his face.

“Not in that way weirdo!” You gently punch his arm making him laugh. “Oh but I was hoping~”

“and I hope you go to bed, finally~” you cut him off.

He looked into your eyes for a moment before saying “your right love, guess I should start listening to you from now on.”

“Took you how long to realize that?” He hummed as he gently placed his head down to rest on you. “Not that long~”

You sighed out a slight smile, your hand playing with his hair.

“Hey.” You said, making him slightly come up. “Yeah?”

“I love you, hawks.”

His head popped up, a look of disgust on his face.

"Excuse me??" He said, pouting.

You can’t help but start laughing at him. He looks like you just insulted endeavor to his face.

“UHM who is this other man in your life??!!” He says dramatically.

“Ughh, I love you Keigo~”

“Mm..” he settles back down into your comfort, “much better.”

didn’t think I would have to say this but this is inspired by lore Olympus, sorry for not giving the proper credit in the first place

“God... I feel like crap. I shouldn’t have called him.” Y/N spoke, staring at the floor. “I should have known that stupid phone wouldn’t work.” She muttered.

" It did work.” His voice echoed from the window.

“I honestly expected something a bit more flashy.” She whispered. “I mean, you are a pro-hero. It couldn’t hurt.” She whispered.

“Next time I’ll make sure to fly into the window, or do something more flashy.” Hawks chuckled.

“I honestly didn’t think that you would come.” She whispered.

“I told you I was always one call away.... and I meant it.” he whispered, taking another step forward, closing the gap in between them.

“I know that this probably isn’t what you meant when you said I would help you with whatever, “she spoke, her eyes still glued to the floor. “And I feel really stupid… I mean, I made this big deal about setting boundaries and not crossing them... I’m sorry.” Y/N spoke.

“Stop apologizing for doing what I told you to do.” he spoke, taking another step closer.

“Sorry.” she whispered.

“Hey, what did I just say?” he lifted her chin, so they could look at each other.

“I don’t feel very well, and I can’t sleep.... and I was wondering if you would stay... just until I fall asleep.” She pressed her forehead to his, leaching off the warmth and comfort that he provided. “Just until I fall asleep... please don’t feel obligated?” she whispered.

“I’m sorry that you don’t feel well.” he spoke. “I’ll stay as long as you want.” he said. He swept her off her feet and carried her to bed.

He placed her gently on her bed and pulled the covers over her, and pulled them up past her chest to make her warm. She always ran a few degrees cold, even on the warmest night, and Hawks always ran warm, even if she was cold. He lied down on the bed next to her and stared at the ceiling, before turning over to face her.

“Can we talk about-”

“Okay,” she whispered, turning over to face him.

“Did you not... like it?” he questioned, his eyebrows knitted together.

“I did, I just got a bit... excited... I don’t know.” She turned over so he couldn’t see her blushing.

“Oh... Okay... well. You did run away, so I guess I got a bit confused because you ran away.”

“I didn’t mean to, I just got scarred.”

“Of me?” I didn’t mean to frighten you-”

“You didn’t scare me, I just got scarred of my feelings and how they made me feel.” she whispered. “Truth be told, you make me nervous sometimes.”

“ Me?”

“ Sometimes... you’re just so.... you.”

“ I’m afraid I just don’t understand what you mean.”

“ Me either... I-”

“ How about we sleep, and talk about it in the morning.. yeah?” He pulled her to his chest and she snuggled up to his neck.
